There's an up-and-coming Tech Giant, called Fenton Works, and Batman is determined to prove that the company is a front for a villain.

Danny, after his parents turned from Ghost hunting to being the first official Ghost Anthropologists, decided to repurpose some of their weapons.

And, well, there was a contest being run by Wayne Enterprises; whoever can design a robot that will help the environment got prize money and a grant.

Danny, in all his mechanical engineering prowess, was bored. So he designed a thing. Repurposed the Fenton Guns into a cute robotic tortoise that would clean the beach.

It spiraled from there, and now Fenton Works is the leading name in green technology that's cleaning up the Earth bit by bit. Sea Dragon robots that clean oil and trash from the ocean; beach tortoises that clean the sand and beach and deposit their hoard of trash into designated receptacles that Danny uses as material to make more robots; Cryptid "stalker" robots with long legs that delicately patrol forests to perform "fuel management" and clear out the underbrush to help manage wildfires; moving gargoyle robots that sit on top of skyscrapers to help clean the air with huge sail-like wings, etc.

Basically, Danny pulls a Doctor Elisabet Sobeck, but with less world ending and more actually helping. (Not that the world ending was Elisabet's fault, of course, but different franchise)

And due to the number of times aliens try to attack and rogues send their own robots to attack people, naturally Danny installed self-defense protocols, along with one single golden rule written into the very OS of every single robot; Save Humans Whatever the Cost.

Problem is, Batman has never seen robots like this not be used for evil purposes, and he knows that their power source (a closely guarded Fenton Works secret) is some sort of liquid that glows green.

He really only knows of one liquid that glows green.

So he's determined to find everything he can about Fenton Works, because there's no way that Daniel Fenton isn't actually a villain in the making.

Danny's just thrilled for the chance to work with Wayne Enterprises.

“The…Country that’s where you’re from?” Bravern questions Arial.

She nodded her head in agreement and turned his lips into a smile.

“Yep.” She nodded, “I’m a country girl through and through.”

Bravern couldn’t help but feel drawn to her simplicity and down-to-earth nature. He had always been fascinated by the countryside, with its rolling hills, lush green fields, and the tranquility that seemed to permeate the air. Arial’s stories of growing up in such an environment captivated him, and he found himself longing to experience it firsthand.

“Tell me more about your life back home,” he requested, his gaze fixed on her with unwavering attention.

He lies down onto his stomach, placing his hands underneath his chin, Arial rolled her eyes at the giant robot.

“You’re like a little kid,” she scoffed.

Arial couldn’t help but smile at Bravern’s enthusiasm. She settled down next to him, leaning against his massive arm, and began to explain him with tales of her life back home. She described the wide-open fields where she and her family grew their food, the clear skies and starry nights, and the friendly community that always looked out for one another.

“Did you have a horse?” Bravern asked.

“Still do! Spirit is still alive and kicking!” Arial laughed, “and my best friend as well.”

“Hey!” Bravern pouts, Arial sticks out her tongue playfully.

Bravern listened intently to Arial’s stories, his optics sparkling with fascination. He had never imagined a life so different from his own, and he couldn’t help but feel a sense of longing for the simplicity and peace that she described.

“It sounds like a beautiful place,” he said softly. “I would love to visit it someday.”

“Maybe you will, I’ll have you do some farm work.” Arial teased.

“Oh, I’m sure I’d be a natural,” Bravern replied with a confident smirk.

“So…What’s living in space like?” Arial asked, titling her head to the side, Bravern frowned slightly, he wasn’t expecting that.

Bravern paused for a moment, contemplating how to answer her question. Living in space was all he had ever known, and it was difficult to put into words the vastness and emptiness that surrounded him on a daily basis.

“Well,” he began slowly, “living in space is…different. There are no rolling hills or green fields, no clear skies or starry nights. It’s mostly darkness, except for the millions of stars that dot the expanse. There’s a constant hum of machinery, and everything is meticulously controlled for survival.”

“Is it lonely…?” Arial asked.

“Very.” Bravern’s voice held a tinge of sadness as he admitted to the loneliness that consumed him at times. He hadn’t realized just how isolated he felt until Arial had posed the question. Living in space, surrounded by the cold confines of metal and technology.

Arial reached out and gently squeezed Bravern’s hand, offering him a comforting smile.

“I can’t imagine how difficult that must be,” she said softly. “But just know that you’re not alone anymore. I’m here with you, and I’ll always be here for you.”

Bravern turned to her, his optics meeting her gaze, and felt a sense of gratitude wash over him. It was true that he had found a companion in Arial, someone who had shown him what it meant to connect with another on a deeper level. Despite their differences in upbringing and environment, they had managed to bridge the gap between their worlds and find solace in each other’s presence.

“I’m grateful to have you in my life,” Bravern murmured, his voice filled with sincerity. “You’ve opened my eyes to a world I never knew existed, and I’ll always cherish that.”

Arial’s smile widened, and she leaned in to press a gentle kiss against Bravern’s metal cheek.

“And I’m grateful for you too,” she whispered.
