Can you say something about french Plagg? I see so often ppl make fun of his voice and I feel bad for him.
I've said this before but I think both dubs somehow perfectly capture Plagg in completely different ways and I was surprised to find the people who like French Plagg were the minority (though I guess its unsurprising in hindsight since most people defaulted to watching the English dub and grew used to his English voice before they tried the French dub)
English Plagg gives full Gremlin. He's cute. He's your little best friend who loves you but he won't say it outright. He's sassy. He's a dumpster cat. He's definitely up to no good. He makes the knife cat face. He is a little Creature.
French Plagg gives "ancient cat deity who demands you bring him a charcuterie board." He's a moody old man. He's your kuudere adoptive father who Will kill for you but won't admit that. He has the energy of a more pompous Lord Beerus: An ancient cat god of destruction who wakes up from his nap every 40 million years or so, demands wet food and a luxury pillow, causes mass destruction, and then goes back to sleep. He sounds like he sleeps wearing a night cap and gown and has little plush slippers. He sounds like he'd call Gabriel a washed up mediocre Shein designer to his face.

La traversée (2021)
dir. Florence Miailhe
A small village looted in darkness, a family forced to flee. The two oldest children, Kyona and Adriel are quickly separated from their parents facing the road of exile alone. They embark on a journey which takes them from childhood to adolescence in search of shelter, peace and the hope of finding refuge and their family.
The writing of the film began in 2006 at the Royal Abbey of Notre-Dame de Fontevraud , where Florence Miailhe was invited in residence by Xavier Kawa-Topor.
Florence Miailhe is inspired by her family history and the sketchbooks of her mother, the painter Mireille Miailhe , but also by the drama of today's migrants, notably documented by her husband, the photographer Patrick Zachmann.
The writing of the film began in 2006 at the Royal Abbey of Notre-Dame de Fontevraud , where Florence Miailhe was invited in residence by Xavier Kawa-Topor. It took producer Dora Benousilio ten years to gather the necessary funding, while developing the project.
The film is made in animated painting, a technique which Florence Miailhe has made a specialty of.

On August 11th, I will have my own pop-up store at Le Renard Café, Paris 🌻
I will be selling prints and stickers of my art! Paris is pretty quiet at this time of the year, so I will be forever thankful if you can come stop by!
I might sell leftover stocks after the event so you can still contact me if you're not be available on that day.
