Nell had captured this with the exposure biased darker by a stop. This helped preserve the highlights and darken away distracting foliage in the background. In post, the image was then exposed to the right.

Vanilla was not what I was expecting to smell yesterday when watering the Anguloa bench. If anything, I would have expected some foetid smells from the adjacent Nepenthes, quietly digesting their insect soup. Vanilla just isn't a fragrance I associate with Tulip Orchids. But no mistake, a little searching among the big accordion pleated leaves brought me to this guy, Anguloa cliftonii. At close range the fragrance was the familiar camphor/cineole common to many Euglossine bee fragrances, but with sweet overtones of vanilla. This is only the second time we have flowered cliftonii. Either I wasn't paying attention last time, or I caught it at the wrong time of day. What a treat.

What is the weirdest plant youve come across while fic researching

Tbh none of the ones I've found have been weird. Just different flavors of interesting. From scents to how they're grown to which regions they're from.

Ive looked up...a lot of plants.....

But i dont wanna leave you empty handed so here

These are called Swaddled Babies (or anguloa uniflora) and they're from Colombia

And then theres Hooker's Lips flowers

Which you can find in rainforests in South and Central America

grass: do you like picnics?

Not much, actually- if it’s an unplanned decision to sit somewhere outside for a bit and maybe eat something too then i don’t mind, but if i’d need to go outside specifically for that reason, i would pass ^^’

flowers: do you prefer cloudy or clear weather?

Clear weather if i’m taking photos, otherwise i like clouds a lot ^^

wind: favorite plant?

No clear favourites (unless we count the ones i’m taking care of now, whose favourites will they be if not mine xD), but i like some of the orchids that resemble monkeys (Dracula) and birds (Anguloa uniflora, Caleana major). Probably mostly because orchids are the only group of plants i know a bit more about ^^’

rain: would you rather visit a waterfall or volcano?

A waterfall definitely, i love the sound of flowing water

moonlight: do you like storms?

I like them a lot, especially watching them from the safety of home xD i may or may not stay late sometimes to do just that

nature: long walks on the beach or a hike through a forest?

Both can be very enjoyable, so it would depend on my mood, also the weather- would prefer to hide in the forest when it’s hot and sunny, but if it was cold (like late autumn-early spring) i’d probably choose the beach

snow: do you like flowers?

I do- they aren’t my big passion or anything, but i do enjoy seeing them in my surroundings and i don’t mind taking care of them either. It’s rewarding to see them grow healthily ^^

sunshine: meteor showers or eclipses?

Eclipses, but only because i’ve never been able to see a full sun eclipse despite wanting to

breezes: stargazing or cloud watching?

stargazing, purely because it’s at night xD

sky: nighttime or daytime?

Nighttime- there’s just something very comfortable and calming about the darkness and quiet

Merhaba, bugün -alışık olduğumuz çiçeklerden daha farklı- Dünya'nın en ilgin 5 çiçeği hakkında araştırma yaptım. Keyifli okumalar..

1-Maymun Yüzlü Orkide (Dracula simia)

Dünyanın en ilginç çiçekleri listemizde ilk sırada yer alan Maymun Suratlı Orkide nadir görülür. Bu yüzdüzülmeyin. Sadece Peru’nun bulut ormanlarında ve güneydoğu Ekvador’da 3.000 fitten daha yüksek irtifalarda bulunur. Tüm yıl boyunca çiçek açabilir ve çiçekleri olgun portakal gibi kokar.

2-Ceset Çiçeği (Rafflesia keithii)

Endonezya’nın yağmur ormanlarında bulunur. Ceset Çiçeği, görünür yaprakları, kökleri veya gövdeleri olmayan, bazılarının Ceset Çiçeğinin bir çiçek olmadığını, bir mantar olduğunu iddia etmesine neden olan parazitik bir organizmadır. Vampir özelliklerine ek olarak, Ceset Çiçeği dünyanın en büyük bireysel çiçeğidir.

3-Sıcak Dudaklar (Psychotria elata)

Sıcak Dudaklar ya da Çiçek Dudakları olarak da bilinir. Parlak kırmızı dudaklara benzeyen parlak kırmızı parçalar, taç yaprakları değil, diş telleridir. Yaprağa benzer diş telleri, açılmadan önce sadece birkaç gün öpülebilir haldedir ve içindeki küçük sarı ve beyaz çiçekleri ortaya çıkarır. Hooker’s Lips Plant, Kolombiya, Kosta Rika ve Panama’nın tropikal bölgelerine özgüdür, ancak koleksiyoncular arasındaki popülaritesi ve doğal yaşam alanlarının ormansızlaştırılması nedeniyle nesli tükenmekte olan listeye girmiştir.

4-Kundaklanmış Bebekler (Anguloa uniflora)

Kundaklanmış Bebekler olarak adlandırılan bu lale orkideleri, 1777-1788 yılları arasında Kolombiya And Dağları’nda on yıllık bir keşif gezisi sırasında keşfedildi, ancak 1798’e kadar isimlendirilmedi ve resmi olarak sınıflandırılmadı. Beyaz kundağa sarılmış bir bebeği andıran çiçeklere sahiptir. 

 5-Papağan Çiçeği (Impatiens psittacina)

Tayland yerlisi olan Papağan Çiçeği, nesli tükenmekte olan bitkiler olarak sınıflandırılır ve bu nedenle ülkeyi terk etmesine izin verilmez. Bu ender balsam türünün çiçeğinin en güzel yanı, yan profiline baktığınızda tıpkı uçuş halindeki bir papağan ya da kakadu gibi görünmesidir.

Que haya nacido de la castración no es un mensaje tribal. Ella misma es la diosa del sexo y la pasión, de los campos y las flores, de la fertilidad y la prostitución. Justamente todo lo contrario a sus orígenes de castración de los genitales de los dioses.

El esperma y el mar fueron sus frutos de nacimiento, dando así la idea del amor romántico y la visión de una mujer hegemónica que es deseada por todxs.

Esta historia de la mitología romana nos habla del poder de este elixir.

Y de las partes supuestamente femeninas de cada ser.

Si bien para mi concepción del mundo y los seres, todxs somos mujer y hombre, y estamos trascendiendo estos dos vínculos en los que se manejan el mundo y las masas, invalidando a quienes tienen el deseo no binario de no ser ni una ni la otra.

Es decir, uno hombre puede tener mucha carga femenina, así como una mujer puede tener mucha carga masculina.

Aquí vemos que el ser va mas allá de su genitalidad, y el elixir venus no se adapta solo a las mujeres, si bien en las concepciones habituales de las orquídeas de amazona, este preparado es mas apto para las mujeres, mientras que la orquidea sol es para las masculinidades, o energías yang.

En lo que mis investigaciones con este preparado son, no hay limites para trabajar con esta esencia en ninguno de ambos sexos.

la orquidea venus no distingue la genitalidad, y es util en casos de necedidad sensible del ser ante el mundo.

Para generar dulzura y un verdadero dialogo interior con el ser, para su libertad.
