Frisk stared into the ruby eyes, “Chara?” He asked.

The figure stood up and giggled, “Maybe.”

They then went around Frisk while he was trying to process and shut the door switching on the light. Standing before Frisk was Chara. She looked much more mature now and had her hair tied into a short ponytail with a red ribbon. Her clothes were pretty much the same but now she had a cropped shirt. 

Frisk without hesitation tackled her into a hug tightly filled with joy.

She stiffened a little at the sudden hug but then hugged him back with a small smile.

“You’re back!!” Frisk exclaimed, still holding her tightly.

“Like I said I would, right?” She had a sly look.

“Mhm, but I got worried still,” he confessed.

“You shouldn’t have been worried,” She released Frisk, taking a step back.

“Yeah, probably.”

Frisk had a wide smile, “So, how are you?”

She only shrugged for a moment, “Here?”

Frisk raised an eyebrow at that, “Okay?”

“Um,” she shifted awkwardly, “You?”

“For the most part I’ve been alright, thanks for asking.”

Chara nodded and grabbed her other arm looking around the well-kept room for a moment.

“Nervous about something?”

“No, this place is kind of dead though huh?”

“I guess.”

Chara looked back at Frisk and looked him over, “You look very mature now.”

“Thanks, and you still look pretty like the last time I saw you, if not more,” he complimented her with a smile.

“W-what?? No I don’t!” She looked away from him crossing her arms.

“Well, to me you are.”

“No. Anyway,” she cleared her throat thinking of something to change the subject.

“Yes?”

“How have things been here?” She asked, looking at him calming once more.

“Well, more animals have shown up here. Which it seems also has happened on your side also,” he informed.

Chara nodded, “I find it really interesting that it’s happening,” she paused for a moment, “So, how is Asriel?”

“He’s alright, but he is stressed from the most recent economic issue we had.”

“I’m surprised you are having an issue, with this place being so lush I mean.”

Frisk shrugged, “I’m not someone who knows that much about it so I don’t really know what went wrong.”

“Huh,” Chara seemed in thought and grabbed the clip to her cloak which Frisk had just now noticed was a golden heart.

“I’m going to go speak with Asriel now that I’m back-,” she said finally.

“Well, good luck,” Frisk said with a small smile still.

Chara nods and then leaves the room with Frisk following her out.

Frisk then watches Chara walk down the hall, her talons clicking on the stone ground. After a second Frisk turned and started walking the other way in the direction of the guards quarters. When he got there he saw Undyne sitting at a table aggressively playing cards with another guard and Sam who was watching intently.

Sam looked over at Frisk, “Soooooo, how was the search today?”

“Well, I found her in the castle here in my old room,” He confessed.

“Lovely,” they smirked.
