they’re coming out with a prequel for realsies and i’m terrified for how bad this can go. especially considering how they already fucked up half the lore in the new movies. plus this quote in an article, not really getting me excited. either way i’m sorry to my friends for the person i will become weather it’s good or bad

I will never not be mad about the lack of interactions within the losers club in the movies. There was 0 mention of how all of them (especially Eddie) pretty much worshiped Bill. There was almost no interactions between Richie and Stan other then the bar mitzvah scenes, which unless you read the book, you can pretty much just gloss over and not read it as them being incredibly close. Even reddie which he made their feelings cannon in the movie! Richies nicknames for Eddie play a big role in Eddie’s identity problems and we didn’t even get a SINGLE Eds like ??? And that’s just between the original 4! Don’t get me started on how they treated Mike during the restaurant scenes. I somewhat understand the fact that Andy maybe wanted to focus more on the horror aspect but even that part of the movie was lacking. I know you can’t include every scene, it wasn’t a coming of age movie I know, but the connection between the losers is one of the BIGGEST and most IMPORTANT parts to the story and you barley showed how close they all were and it should be considered a crime.

Bill Denbrough was meant to be as close as a father figure as a friend could represent to Eddie Kaspbrack, Eddie says he’s like a big brother almost but considering he has no other big male presents he gets it from him. They’re written that everyone basically worships Bill, they all feel this draw, an emotional connection to Him and they all look up to Him (that’s why he’s the unspoken leader) but it’s the strongest in Eddie and i’m incredibly disappointed that was never shown in the new movies. Eddie would have done anything for his friends, die for them at the drop of a hat, but especially for Bill, and the amount of moments they have together in movies could probably be counted on my fingers

i forgot to tell y’all i storyboarded another new It scene :) i mixed both of Eddies first encounters with IT from 2017 and the book because i was angry about how they gave all of eddies internalized homophobia to Richie :)

basically when he first walks by the house his watch goes off, he stops to take his pills but hears the voices of the kids calling to him from the door and feels a draw to go to it even tho he doesn’t want to. walking up he’s been fiddling with his pills but once he gets to the porch he drops it, but what’s this? when he bends down to grab it so does this nasty looking hand who happens to grab it first. now you see this leper sitting underneath this porch, holding up his pill he asks “trade ya for a quickie??” (similar to the book) Eddie starts to run away to which the leper stands and chases him still mumbling asking for a blowjob (“i promise i’ll make your week” “come on pretty boy” etc etc). the rest is the same as the movie.

this just shows that Eddie was also struggling with his sexuality and how he saw it as gross because of what his mother told him (originally i’m pretty sure it was just meant to represent sexuality in general because his mother told him it was gross and he didn’t need anyone other then her but like,,,, it also very much works for homosexuality)

(extra: when you get the full shot of the house you can see IT yellow eyes under the porch where the leper will be, then the lepers eyes are the same colour, and he’s also drooling because ya know)
