In no particular order, visual novels that live rent free in my soul...
Royal Alchemist and Royal Order by @niftyvisuals - I love romance combined with skill checks. I felt like the plot was really well fleshed out, too.
Andromeda Six by Wanderlust Games. - <3 sci-fi and also Calderon and Damon are mine!!
Ebon Light by @underbliss - this was the first visual novel I ever played and it's sooooo good, it really caught me off guard.
Infinite Stars - another great sci-fi one.
Imperial Grace by @synstoria - this one is gender locked and it's an otome but I'm a suck for royal things (hence my own game haha).
Red Embrace: Hollywood by @argentgames- oh shit, this game is gritty and deals with some heavy shit in the best way. 11/10. Can't sink my teeth into it enough ;D Markus is just...chef's kiss.
When The Night Comes by Lunaris Games - August is just...incredible and I love them so much <3 their romance route really f'd me up (in a good way).
Errant Kingdom by Lunaris Games - you don't have to romance in this game. I do enjoy that, personally, and I love Lucien and Erik with a vengeance.
Gilded Shadows by @steamberrystudio - this one is GxB genderlocked as well but damn Ari is *heart eyes*.
Super/Human Identity by Rock A Role Games - pretty cool premise and gotta love superpowers.
Oathbreaker Season 1 and Season 2 by @larkylabs - also otome/genderlocked but I think the plot and characters are fleshed out really well. The kid is adorbs.
Our Life: Beginnings & Always by @gbpatchupdates - I was so surprised by how lovely this was! At the end of my first play through, Cove had discovered he has autism and my partner has autism, so I thought that was pretty cool and I went and gushed to him about the game. So much representation and variations in this game! 100/10!
But there are other VNs I need to try but hard to choose. If anyone has a good recommendation for what I play next, please pass it along <3

quick intro bc I know I hardly talk about Cass and no one knows who they are so: Cassian is my Traveler OC for Andromeda Six and uhhh early game spoilers Cass is the youngest child of the (recently deceased) king. I'll leave it at that, go play the game, it's like 75% done and it's fantastic you can find it on itch.io

How do they feel about rain?
Cassian loves the rain. It's... rare that they get an opportunity to actually be out in the rain--it's not exactly appropriate for even the youngest royal child to be playing in the mud--but these days the only thing stopping them is, well, twenty-plus years of Not Doing Those Things.
How and how often do they try to impress their partner(s)? How and how often do their partner(s) impress them?
Cass is a very sheltered young adult, so... for a long time they kind of expected their family name to do the impressing for them. You know, "look, my family is ridiculously wealthy and I'm willing to share", that kind of thing. Now that they don't have family or wealth to lean on, they've been forced to learn a hell of a lot very quickly. They try to use this to impress their partners. Both of them find Cassian's attempts very funny and endearing.
On the other hand, it's fairly easy to impress Cassian. One memorable example: the time Vexx and Cass sneaked out of the palace to go to the city zoo, a place Cass had never been permitted to go. Yes, that is straight up canon. No I don't care. 😂

hey, sorry if this has already been answered or if this is stated somewhere and im to blind to see, but! is the game going to have individual routes for the ROs (like different stories for each ro) or is it all going to be the same route, just different scenes depending on who you're romancing? (like andromeda six)
There will be different routes for all of the ROs! The demo ends where the story would branch off into routes.

Wait fuck I need to revise my GOTY list from my previous post because I clean forgot about Octopath Traveler II and Dredge! (Also that they came out earlier this year instead of last year like my brain kept insisting. I think because of how rough of a year it's been for me overall my memory/sense of time in regards to events that happened this year is a bit screwy in some spots. In particular I think my memory shunted the entire first three or four months of 2023 back into 2022 because it was before everything went to shit.)
Anyway so far my GOTY picks are, in no particular order:
Slay the Princess, Octopath Traveler II, Baldur's Gate 3, Rune Factory 5, and Dredge.
With Honorable Mentions to both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. For being good games in general imo but also for being the best experience I've had with a Zelda game. Good stuff.
Yes I know some of those games came out earlier than 2023 but sssssh I first played them in 2023/or started playing them in earnest in 2023 so I say it counts.
Also, while they're not GOTY picks, some games I played a lot in 2023 and helped me get through the year- Vampire Survivors, Potioncraft, the 'Ever Seen a Cat' Trilogy (a series of hidden object games), and Bobbl (a new game for the NES that someone made that's on Itch.io, I play it on an emulator), Mothkeeper (an itch.io game that's basically what it says on the tin), and Andromeda Six (a WIP Visual Novel, also on itch.io).

Ignoring the ones that are semi-permanently living on the backburner, there are a few that have been on rotation lately. A little Twine game I've been poking at, which if I ever finish it I might post to itch.io and share for fun, lol. I have an Andromeda Six fic rattling around in my head that is still trying to take shape, but it's getting there. Mulling over a gift fic that I would like to write and have posted by the end of the summer. I think that's everything that's currently at the forefront? Idk LOL
17. What's something you've learned about while doing research for a fic?
Hmmm hard question, on account of the fact that I can't keep straight what I learned watching assorted documentaries vs chatting with people vs writing research lol.
Since I can't think of a specific example, here's a random fun fact: intravenous antibiotics tend to smell gross and they also tend to be sticky if they get spilled or if a bag leaks. Most oral antibiotics thankfully don't smell too bad but cefdinir smells like rotten eggs. It just does. Sorry. 😂
27. Is there a fic you were nervous to post/share? Why?
lolololol literally all of them, I am so afraid of putting my words where other people can see them. some of it is the rejection dysphoria, some of it is just generic anxiety, yes nice comments make me feel better but I'm always gonna be afraid of how people will react to what I write lmao. nevermind the fact that I am... fairly certain I've never gotten a mean comment on fic? and I've been posting fic online for like... 15 years now. intermittently, anyway. no, I'm not going to show you the trash I wrote when I was 13 lmaooo. (it's not actually that bad, but like... I was 13. you can tell.)

I've been falling down an Itch.io rabbit hole lately which is how I found and started playing Andromeda Six, but also I've found a bunch of other games including games that you can not only play on your computer but can be played on old gaming consoles like
