A/N: sorry you get some angst because i wanna give you something in between the other writings.

He stared down at the phone in his hands, shaking as his empty eyes stared at the lit screen. The bright letters of your name showed up on the notifications, reminding him. It taunted him to remind him that despite you no longer being in his life, you still show yourself through shadows of his life, reminding him of how you wove yourself into every facet of his life, in every fiber of his being, just to rip yourself away and leave his as loose ends.

You interwove yourself into every bit of his daily life, from the too sweet coffee that suddenly he asks for everyday to ease his broken heart, to the restaurant he visited that you showed him with the coffee cake you liked so much.

Its been two years but even so, he still has the shampoo you used in your side of the bathroom counter, still makes his eggs the way you always asked for them, and listen to the same playlist you made for him back when you started dating.

He stops by the dog park you loved to look at the dogs. You always loved the small one with the blue and brown eye- the owner called him Orchard, which you fawned over- and you loved looking through every gift shop to spot the cute decorated pens that you collected too many of.

He smiled sadly at the memories, lost in the sea of who he used to be when you were beside him, your hand in his. It was like he wasnt whole again. That yet again he couldnt keep the one he loved close- the one he let in and help heal his heart.

Now that you were gone, he feels the emptiness left behind by you.

He opened up the messages, staring at the words that you sent two years ago that made his world crash and burn.

“It’s over. I am leaving you, June. I’m sorry, goodbye.”

What he would give to hear your voice again one last time.
