ZORO
Tumblr media
It's not often that the crew gets to take a day off and relax, but when you do you take full advantage of it. It's the only time you get to yourself, when you can do anything you want without having the other Straw Hats in your face all the time. Normally you stay in your room and do your nails, but today a certain swordsman was curious to know what you do on days off, so here he was in your room watching you.
"What's the point of that?" He deadpanned, watching the stroke of the paint-tipped brush over your nail.
You looked up at him, beaming, "It looks pretty!"
"It looks-" He sighed. "Okay."
Silence fell between you two again as you continued painting your nails, a (vibrant/dark) shade of (colour). You could tell that Zoro had more questions, probably about the necessity of your hobby, but you pointedly ignored him.
"Are you done yet?" His gruff voice rang out a few minutes later.
"Yes!" You grinned, holding up your hand, "With one hand!"
He groaned, rubbing his face, "This is boring."
"Well nobody said you had to be here, grumpy," you teased.
"i thought you'd do something more exciting. And fun."
"HEY," you protested, "This is fun! For me!"
The swordsman rolled his eyes, and you narrowed yours, "Maybe you should try it and see."
"No thanks."
"Then how about I paint yours too?"
"I can't think of anything I want less than that."
You pouted, but resumed painting your nails. When you were finished with your other hand, you turned to show Zoro proudly, only to find that he was fast asleep. You were disappointed for just a moment before smirking, realising that this was an opportunity for you.
So you painted his nails too, and then hid when he woke up.
LUFFY
Tumblr media
Luffy gets bored when there's nothing for the crew to do. Unlike the rest of you, who enjoy the day off and take time to relax, he cannot sit still. He doesn't understand the concept of relaxing, because he's always bouncing off the walls and begging one of you to entertain him. Which is as difficult as it sounds, because he has the attention span of a goldfish.
"(Name), what do you do on days like this?"
You almost jumped out of your skin when the captain appeared at your shoulder suddenly. You dropped the small bottle of (colour) nail polish and watched as some dribbled out and onto your desk.
"Luffy!"
"Sorry," he apologised, but didn't sound like he was really sorry. Or look it, since he was grinning like the gremlin he was.
You sighed and picked the bottle up, cleaning the spilled polish, "I'm just doing my nails. Wanna watch?"
He nodded excitedly, curious about what that actually meant. When he saw you brush the paint on your nail, he oo'ed and ah'ed at the sight. To him it was fascinating how the colour settled on your nail when you finished painting.
But after a few fingers, he started to get bored and fidgety.
"(Name), how long is this going to take?"
"I still have the other hand, Luffy!" You laughed.
He pouted, but continued watching nonetheless. He was fascinated by how the colour stayed on your nails, and when you were done with both hands he jumped up excitedly.
"Now we can go do something more fun!" He grinned.
"No!" You shook your head. "I have to wait for it to dry, and then put another layer, and then wait for that to dry."
He groaned and sat back down, putting his chin in his palms like a little kid. He was going insane with boredom, and you were just happily sitting there painting your nails.
"If you want, Luffy, I can paint yours too."
He seemed thrilled by the idea, until he bounded out of your room to show the others as soon as you were done, and came back whining that it got smudged.
Sigh.
SANJI
Tumblr media
This man is possible the only Straw Hat that could watch you do literally anything, no matter how long or how boring, without complaining. He is the only one who will be happy to sit with you for hours doing the most mundane things, because to him the time spent with you is worth it. So the minute you asked him for company, he didn't even let you finish before he was dragging you off to your room.
"Do you want to choose a colour?" You asked him, laughing as you showed him your assortment of nail polish colours.
He was more than happy to do that, and eagerly showed you a (bright/pastel) (colour) bottle. When you smiled and thanked him, he practically melted.
He's also the most patient of all of them. He doesn't mind that it takes forever to get just one hand done, nor does he mind that after you let it dry you have to apply another coat.
"How does it look?" You asked him, holding your hand up with a smile.
His answer is nothing short of what you expect, and he looks at your nails with heart eyes.
"It looks so pretty (Name)! Just like you!"
He might even offer to do it for you, and if you let him you find out that he's surprisingly good at it. Maybe even better than you. He takes longer, but that's because he wants it to be perfect for you. He honestly has no qualms about spending the entire day doing this with you, you will not hear a single complaint from him.
"Thanks, SanjI! Do you want me to do yours now?" You ask him teasingly, then get surprised when he eagerly holds out his hands for you to do whatever you want with. "Okay, which colour?"
And now that he knows you do this on every free day you guys get, he's at your door before you can even ask anyone if they want to choose a colour.
USOPP
Tumblr media
Usopp knows what everyone does whenever the crew gets a day off. Everyone but you. You just slink off to your room with a smile and no one sees you for hours. Normally Usopp wouldn't think much of it, but as it happens more and more he gets curious to know what exactly you're doing. It also may be an excuse to get away from an overexcited Luffy who wants to tinker with his explosives.
He doesn't know how to feel about what he discovers.
"Usopp! Great!" You exclaim, pulling him into your room to show him what you were doing. "Would this colour look better, or this one?" You held up two different colours, confusing the poor sharpshooter.
"Look better for what?" He asked nervously, his first thought being that you wanted to paint something on a piece of paper.
"My nails!" You beam, showing him your bare nails. "Which colour matches my skin tone better, do you think?"
He blabbers out some kind of response, then points to the (colour) polish in your right hand. You smile and get to work, and he just stands there awkwardly until he sees you actually applying the paint on your nails.
"You just...paint your nails?" He asked, confused on how that would be fun.
"Yep!"
Deciding it was better than being bugged by Luffy, Usopp sat down and just watched you for a few minutes. That's how long it took for him to get bored, but he was too shy to say it.
"So this is why no one sees you for hours on our days off?" He asked, "The reason is way more boring than I thought it would be."
"Hey!" You protested, painting his nose (colour).
Usopp is in between Sanji and the other two. He's not very impatient, but he's not patient either. He will sit there and watch, and get bored, but he won't say anything about it until he either hears someone pass by or has had enough and pretends to cough and come up with another fake illness.
"You know, I have this rare disease called the-smell-is-killing-me-itis, it's pretty contagious so I should just-"
"Sit down," you interrupted him, "Cause I want to paint yours now."
"W-what?! No! Then I'll look like-I mean I'm allergic-"
"Sit down."

I think what drives me a little crazy (in a good way) about zosan as a ship is - ironically - that they're willing to do the worst possible thing, to sacrifice, for a necessary goal unrelated to their relationship. By that I mean that a common romance trope is an individual being willing to sacrifice the world, anything and anyone else, for their lover, and zosan is...not that. And for some reason that drives me more feral than that other romance trope ever possibly could. I find that more romantic than "I would burn the world for you" and I'll explain why.
The root of their specific willingness to sacrifice isn't a shortage of love or care by any means, but a complete trust and understanding of each other. To the absolute core of who they are. I'm going to refer specifically to that agreement between zosan (that I got spoiled on, so apologies if I get details wrong, I haven't gotten there in the story yet - ALSO spoiler warning if you haven't gotten to around Wano, so click away).
.
.
.
I'm referring to Sanji telling Zoro to kill him if he changes after his stint in Germa, and Zoro agreeing without need for an explanation, telling Sanji to survive until then - that is so fucking romantic to me, and people hold it up as proof that they don't care about each other but to me, it's anything but.
There is a burden of duty to being the wings of the pirate king, and they both take that responsibility seriously. They're both devoted to their captain and to their crew, and to the dreams of their crew. Zoro perhaps more outwardly unwaveringly so, but Sanji is devoted too, different from Zoro but equal in intensity. There are moments when you can TELL they're on the same wavelength, moments where Zoro gives a rare speech on the dynamics of their crew and Sanji is silent because he agrees. Sanji is terrified of hurting his found family, and he's terrified of becoming like his brothers and father. He loves his nakama and so he's willing to sacrifice his own life to prevent from turning into that type of monster.
Zoro is similar. He is willing to die for his nakama, and their dreams. They are in complete understanding of that point. Death itself is not something that scares either of them, there are some things that are worth the price. Potentially for different reasons ahem self worth issues ahem Sanji ahem but that's still something they both understand. Zoro would sacrifice himself in a heartbeat to save Sanji (he already has at Thriller bark), Sanji would do the same (again. Thriller bark), so it's not remotely because they don't care or love each other. They are absolutely willing to give all they are to keep each other from outside harm.
But what happens if the threat to the crew is Sanji himself?
Sanji asks Zoro to be the one to kill him, because Zoro is the only one on the crew who he trusts 100% to do so, to fulfill the promise, who understands. I personally think Luffy would try to save his nakama, even beyond what is possible, at his own detriment. The other crew members would probably do the same (then again I'm still not through the show so feel free to disagree with my interpretation).
But Zoro could do it if it came to that. It would be awful, and it would shatter and change him, irreversibly, heartbreakingly so - I don't agree with people who say Zoro would kill his nakama without hesitation and be fine with it out of loyalty to his captain, Zoro has a heart y'all and he loves his crew - but he could grit his teeth and do it if he realizes it is necessary, that there is no other option. Sanji trusts him to keep his word, to protect the rest of their family. Do you know how telling it is about the level of regard you have for your partner, to trust them to the point where you can easily place the well being of almost all you both treasure into their hands, once you realize you can't be the one to protect it anymore, and know without a shadow of a doubt that it'll be safe as long as it's with them? With knowing they're strong enough to accept the heavy burden of having your blood stain their hands for the rest of their life, the blame for your death on their shoulders, the shadow of you in every single thing they do, inescapable and marking every facet of their life forever? And to trust that they'll not only accept those consequences without hesitation because it's what you asked of them, but will also protect what you both treasure until their last breath, without you even needing to EXPLAIN that that's what you're asking to them to do, because it's the obvious, it's what you've both been doing all this time, it's something you both know so well that no words need to be exchanged, no reassurances need to be given.
And the implication of Sanji wanting Zoro to do this task too, of being okay dying by Zoro's hands because they're equals in every way. Especially since their fighting dynamic is mostly a competitive, I'm stronger than you, I'll never lose to someone as weak as you, blah blah. This is proof that that's not what Sanji and Zoro actually think of each other. Sanji knows that they could kill each other if either of them truly tried for one - wouldn't have asked Zoro to kill him otherwise. Sanji is also fine with Zoro being the one to defeat him. There is an inherent (kinda fucked up) romance to that notion. 'If I have to die, let it be by your hands.'
And on Zoro's part, there's an inherent fucked up romance to keeping your lover close forever because your fingers are stained with the necessity of their blood.
fUCK.
(here is a caveat that I'm viewing this in a scenario where Sanji and Zoro have established that they love each other and are potentially in a relationship. If it's before that you could also flavour it with Sanji's "I love him but I think it's unrequited, actually I think he may hate me, so it would hurt him the least to be the one to kill me" which is JUICY, but just for this post I'm viewing it where they've already established that they're valuable to each other, that they care)
How am I supposed to look at that and not fucking die. It's so much more nuanced and romantic to me personally than "I would burn the world for you" because that trope at its core is a selfish sort of protection. I can 100% see how people find it romantic, don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you if you like that trope, that's so valid. It's "I can't live without you" and "I would choose you above all others" which is romantic, but it's romantic in a different way. Depending on the characters, it's also, I would go to extremes to make sure you're alive, even if there's nothing else left after the carnage except for each other, even if everything else that makes life worth living has been destroyed for survival, and we can only ever rely on each other for the rest of time. I only care about you but not anything else you care about. I won't try to save it, even if you tell me to, even if you want me to, and won't forgive me for all I've done because I can't bear the burden of you not being alive and around anymore.
I get why it's compelling, but that trope could ignore (depending on how it's written) everything else that person could hold dear. Ignores potentially, the agency of the person being protected, a character who could have accepted the consequences and have not wanted the world to burn for their sake, who is strong enough for that burden. And true, maybe the character isn't like that, maybe they just want simply to live a life (valid of them, people are allowed to want happy endings for themselves), but my point is, it's a different archetype of romance for a different archetype of character, but it seems to be more accepted as a romantic trope then zosan's dynamic and I think it shouldn't be that way.
Zosan is the opposite. It suits their character type perfectly. For them, it's "there are things that are worth more than even you and me. I love you, knowing who you are and how you view the world and what other things you value. I love you everyday on purpose, not hopelessly or illogically or blindly, even knowing you may not always choose me. I'm willing to accept the pain of that, just to be next to you. The time we share isn't any less valuable for being fleeting and impermanent. I care about the things you care about and our lives are also worth living because of those things. It would tear me apart irreversibly to hurt you, but I would do it if you asked it of me, I would do it if that's what this life demands of us. I know you can protect what we both love, even if I'm not beside you. I respect your choices. In this, we understand each other perfectly."
THAT is my shit. That's the fucking deranged ass bs that has me staring at my ceiling at 3 am, pacing the floors at 6 in the morning, gnawing on conkcrete like a rabid dog. Brain rot brain rot brain rot.

Hey there brook! I hope u having a nice day! Can I ask for a luffy x heroic fem reader headcanon? by heroic I mean that she completely dedicated her life to help and save ppl and that her purpose in life, she's strong and seems cold but when u get to know her she has empathy more than anyone else, I feel like this is the perfect character that luffy would fall in love with, pure kindness hiding behind a tough facade, she doesn't even like being called a hero, yet she is willing to do anything for those in need, slaves, poor villages, she goes against anything unjust without any fear, cause thats her purpose in life (sorry if that was too long 💀)
Hi anon <33 (it makes me so happy that someone finally addressed me as that💗)
today was a very chill day 😊 thank you! How’s yours?
Tumblr media
Reader sounds so genuine with such a good background for a op character!!
(Don’t worry it’s not too long—I love to read:3)
Ngl luffy subconsciously sees a little bit of himself in you!!
like your hearts are so similar—gold!
of course he doesn’t directly think that way- but he feels the connection!
which is through helping!
you two never turn your backs on those who have never wronged you
its not even about if they’re on your side or not, as long as they haven’t wrong you? and they need help?
the both of you are on it 🤜🤛👍
you wanting to save others becomes admirable to more than just him, to all of the straw hats—chopper and usopp especially!
I’m gonna go ahead and say it here and now you remind both Jinbe and luffy of whitebeard and fishman island type thing
LIKE THAT’S HOW IT IS!!
Y/n is just her tbh 🤷‍♀️
and if the ops don’t like that? 🤨
🤜💥
how you like that? >:)
your strength may or may not be hereditary but either way if you don’t continue training or working out your gonna loose that strength eventually
which shows just how hard you train everyday!!
bro works harder than zoro 🗿
and we all know he don’t sleep on workin out
so y/n is a gorilla the og
its no wonder you be cookin the ops like breakfast👩‍🍳👍
this is literally turning into a rant about me being (name)’s biggest fan ok let’s move on
luffy saw you cold exterior and was like
😍😍😘🥰😘💍💋💋💋
LOLOLOL no but fr he looked straight past that
he always does- he ignored law’s and zoro’s why wouldn’t he with you-
and once he sees your true kindness???
Locked in like a booty hole 🔗
(ANYWAY I HAD TO🧍‍♀️)
yeah he pretty much busts right through that
he pretty much instantly demands you already are is nakama after that
Your empathy is what really swoops him off his feet tho
like luffy has a good sense of empathy so much so he can hear the voice of all things
and you probably can too! It’s highly likely!
(y/n could have her own anime at this point 🤷‍♀️😚)
But seriously the way he can just feel the way you long for others when they’re in pain just gets him right at the heartstrings you know?! 🥺❤️‍🩹
you comfort them so assuredly and keep your promise to win every time !!
luffy would admire himself more than he would know if he realized how alike the two of you are
tbh you probably admire luffy!!
like it’s a mutual thing, where you pretty much don’t see your own coolness you only see the other’s
so you admire each other unaware that your the same 😂💗
he absolutely adores and admires that empathetic part of you thoo!
he loves how your kind and tough
he wholeheartedly believes the strong should protect the weak, cuz that’s what a man does.
especially with nakama.
so he definitely understands your need to protect those who can’t do it for themselves
there are many times he can recall where he had to rely on others
so he loves that your the one who does that for people
and you don’t do it for the money or fame!
you don’t even view yourself as the hero and savior that bystanders see you as!
that’s so cool to him!
you background/past might’ve caused it! Like maybe you had no superhero! So you decided to become one!
he kinda looks up to you in a way 🤩
as someone who has also helped slaves and the poor he completely understands where you come from in your kindness
and it’s even cooler that you charge head on into battle for others without a second thought
that’s just how tough you are ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
not an ounce of fear in your eyes as you walk up to someone 20x the size of you to simply get back the bread they stole from a poor little child
LIKE HOW COOL IS THAT?! 💥💥
your a super hero!! Dundun duh-duuuuuun!!
🦸‍♀️‼️🤩
you have a goal just like him!! He wants to be the king of pirates and you wanna help others!
With the type of pirate he is?, those things go hand in hand 🤝
”STRAW HAT LUFFY AND PIRATE HERO (NAME) IS HERE!! RUN AWAY!!”
says the pirates who know they’ve done wrong doing!! 😎
also excuse (name)’s lame pirate alias i couldn’t think of one 😊💖
(Name) is so cool 😎 I admire her 💓
hope you enjoyed your hcs anon!! *super heroes away🦸‍♀️🚀*

Lucky Break Yandere Masterpost
It's finally done!
I will be updating/editing this as I go along, but here is the full list of yanderes in Lucky Break so far
Platonic Yanderes
Monkey D. Luffy
Type of yandere
Clingy - Luffy is attached at the hip to his whole crew, naturally that applies to Lucky. He needs to involve Lucky in everything he does and gets irritable if anything/anyone interferes with their quality time.
Protective - Again, applies to his whole crew. Lucky is his nakama and no one messes with his nakama. He would go to bat for her if someone so much as hip checked her, he absolutely won’t tolerate anyone trying to actually hurt her.
Description
It doesn’t take much for Luffy to become attached. Between Lucky’s mysterious background and him feeling a little bad about hitting her head, he was considering her a friend before a full day could even pass. He is desperate to uncover the mystery of where she came from and who she was before they met. At least, he was for like a week, then it seemed like he just kinda moved on and forgot about it. His crew has to remind him about his initial claim to assist Lucky in regaining her memories, but he tends to be dismissive of the subject. Partially because he’s simply never been one to care that much about a person’s history, but also because he’s scared that Lucky is going to want to go back to wherever she came from. When him and Lucky eventually do have a heart to heart about her past and she tells him that she never wants to go back, he’s ecstatic. From that day forth he never thinks about it again, she is a permanent resident on his crew as far as he’s concerned.
Roronoa Zoro
Type of yandere
Protective - Their first meeting involved him trying to clean and patch up her head wound, and it influenced the rest of their relationship. No matter how strong she becomes, he will always see her as this poor, frail thing that needs to be protected.
Manipulative - This goes hand in hand with his protective tendencies. He makes little comments here and there about how dangerous everything is, makes her injuries out to be worse than they really are, and emphasizes how quickly things could go wrong for her if he- the Straw Hats weren’t there to protect her.
Description
At first, he was just caring for her because it was obvious that Luffy wasn’t equipped to do so, but all of the skin-to-skin contact he had with Lucky when he was taking care of her head wound lead to him being the first person to truly be affected by her amulet. From day one he wanted to be her safety net, she obviously needs him to protect her. To an extent, he understands that the more people she has to protect her the better, but he can’t help but feel a little bitter every time someone else saves her. Likewise, he isn’t particularly enthusiastic about Lucky being able to take care of herself. Sure, it’s technically a good thing, but it should be him. He’ll go so far as distracting her when she tries to train by either encouraging her to nap with him or getting her to drink enough that it simply wouldn’t be safe for her to be swinging her weapon around.
Nami
Type of yandere
Possessive - Lucky is one of the few people she can call a friend, and while she considers all of the Straw Hats her friends, it just feels different with Lucky. She’s not just a friend, she’s her friend, and she doesn’t want anyone taking Lucky away from her.
Clingy - Nami constantly wants to do things together with Lucky. From shopping trips where she can make her more in debt to quietly existing in the same room together while she works on sea charts.
Description
Nami doesn’t become a yandere for Lucky until after Arlong Park, but she gets hit hard when it finally happens. Her and Lucky become best friends overnight and the switch is startling to say the least. Nami went from keeping her at arms’ length to pushing their beds up against each other in their shared room and helping herself to Lucky’s belongings whenever she wants (Lucky is allowed to borrow her stuff too). Despite Lucky not objecting to Nami’s behavior, Nami still feels paranoid that she may one day want to leave. One of her many safeguards against this is to get her indebted as quickly as possible. They go on a little shopping spree at Loguetown, and it’s not until afterwards that Nami mentions her interest rate and how she expects to be paid back. Except here’s the thing: she doesn’t. She never wants Lucky to be able to repay her because the debt gives her a sense of control. The whole thing is played off as lighthearted so as to not scare Lucky, but it’s not. Nami is very serious about keeping Lucky by her side forever.
Usopp
Type of yandere
Manipulative - He really takes a page out of Zoro’s book and does his best to make Lucky too scared to want to so much as be out of their sight. While Lucky may shrug off a lot of his fear mongering about how scary the world is, he is able to get around this by saying that he spotted one of her other yanderes. That trick always works.
Clingy - After he gets past the initial intimidation he felt towards her, he gets real clingy real fast. He loves to be on the receiving end of attention in general, but attention from Lucky just hits different. He tries extra hard to make her laugh and be awed by his stories.
Description
The other Straw Hats tease him for ever being afraid of Lucky at one point, and yeah, he gets a little embarrassed about it, too. They go on to become such good friends that it’s hard to believe there was ever a time that they weren’t. With Lucky being one of the weaker members of the crew- and everyone being over protective of her- she tends to hang back with Usopp, giving them plenty of time to bond. He can pick up on a dip in her mood from the slightest hints and will force himself into her space to try and fix it. This can range from bursting into her room to tell her some jokes/stories, to dragging her into whatever game he’s playing with the others, to simply getting her to sit with him while he works on some contraption. He won’t take no for an answer. Seeing Lucky upset or hurt makes him feel extremely anxious, and he wants to be the one to fix it.
Sanji
Type of yandere
Obsessive - Sanji is prone to obsessing over any woman that walks his way, but while with others he tends to only fawn over them, he full on obsesses over Lucky. He needs to know all of her likes and dislikes, dietary preferences and restrictions, what gifts she likes best, everything.
Worshiper - Lucky is placed on a pedestal above the rest of the world in Sanji's eyes. She can do no wrong and someone implying otherwise would greatly upset him.
Protective - Like the obsessive point, he is naturally protective over all women, but it becomes extreme in Lucky’s case. He becomes irrationally upset if someone speaks to her in a tone he doesn’t like, someone trying to hurt her is an unforgivable crime. He takes immense joy in kicking her suitors to a pulp when the opportunity presents itself.
Clingy - This man needs her approval as much as he needs oxygen. Every word of praise out of her mouth lengthens his lifespan, he’s sure of it. He tends to hover around her so as to capitalize on every opportunity there is to get attention from her.
Description
From their first encounter, he was protective of Lucky. The massive head injury that was still in the process of healing had him fussing over her, this poor lady clearly needs help from him since her crewmates are failing to protect her. Sanji does flirt with Lucky, but it isn’t particularly serious, it’s just how he is. After he’s officially a part of the crew, he has a very obvious favoritism towards her. She’s the first person he checks on in a crisis, she’s constantly being given snacks and drinks, and he always sings her praise. Sanji is brutal towards anyone who threatens or shows too much interest, and if Lucky is hurt or uncomfortable he is unforgiving to the offender. Like Zoro, he wants to be Lucky’s knight in shining armor and gets huffy if her savior is someone else, though he takes it slightly better than Zoro.
Tony Tony Chopper
Type of yandere
Clingy - Chopper thinks that Lucky is very cool and follows her around like a duckling after first joining. Like Nami, he isn’t used to having friends and wants to spend as much time as possible with this one. He wants her attention on him and is prone to getting jealous if she fawns over someone else.
Description
While Chopper was apprehensive of Lucky at first thanks to her smelling “off” to him, he comes around to her quickly. She’s one of the saner Straw Hats, so her more mellow nature makes her easier to approach. He’ll run to her for protection every time Luffy chases after him. Which doesn’t work because he will just tackle both of them now. Chopper very much abuses his cute privilege once he’s on the crew to get more attention than he may have previously gotten. He’s about as desperate for her praise as Sanji is, and is always showing off whatever new medicine he makes. In a dangerous situation he prefers to just run away from it with Lucky in tow, but he will square up if he needs to. Overall a mild yandere.
Nico Robin
Type of yandere
Obsessive - Robin did research on all of the Straw Hats prior to joining, and the complete lack of information she could find on Lucky piqued her interest immediately and led to her focusing on learning every little thing she could about her. This desire didn’t go away after Robin joined the crew, if anything the opportunity to ask Lucky questions directly added fire to the behavior.
Protective - Thanks to how much Robin has suffered in her life, she is extremely wary of other people and tends to assume ill intent until proven otherwise. She assumes that everyone trying to get their hands on Lucky will hurt her if given the chance and is merciless in disposing of these threats.
Description
Robin has been stalking Lucky since Little Garden, following her closely in hopes of gleaning any information on her. She’s great at staying hidden, so Lucky never sees her or finds out about it. Robin is constantly asking questions and snooping through Lucky’s belongings in the beginning, but it dies down after Lucky reveals the truth to where she came from. She’s definitely curious about her world, but only mildly. The mystery finally being solved does nothing to end the obsession. Knowing Lucky’s past was part one, getting to know who Lucky is personally is the next level. Robin makes Sanji look like he doesn’t know shit about Lucky, she has a journal that is basically a Lucky Handbook (she could make BANK selling copies of it). During outings, Robin will try to sneak off with Lucky for some one on one time.
Franky
Type of yandere
Protective - Franky is like an overprotective older brother. Yeah, he’s an annoying handful most of the time, but he comes in clutch when needed. And when he probably didn’t need to. Franky is only looking out for Lucky’s best interest, it’s just debatable what exactly that means to him.
Delusional - There is no point trying to deny this man anything. He sees and hears only what he wants to, and makes excuses for what can’t be ignored.
Description
Franky was trying to recruit Lucky into his family since their first encounter in Water 7. She’s so roughed up, yet she’s still running around the city to look for her friend? Brave! Inspiring! *guitar riff* He’ll help! Hey, why are you running away?! Despite the whole Usopp situation, Franky and Lucky learn to get along quickly. She can’t find it in her to stay mad about it with how fun and sincere his personality is. Franky will refer to himself as her big brother, and Lucky not caring enough to object only encourages him. He honestly sometimes forgets that they aren’t actually siblings and reels back in shock if someone points it out. With Lucky not being particularly strong, he goes out of his way to make her little self-defense gadgets. Nothing too powerful- that’s what he’s for- but good enough to buy her some time.
Nefertari Vivi
Type of yandere
Clingy - To say that Vivi is stressed out when she joins forces with the Straw Hats is an understatement. She is desperate to have some comfort and support and Lucky is very good at giving that. Vivi tends to gravitate towards her whenever she gets the chance and feels a pang of jealousy when she focuses on someone else.
Description
Vivi hasn't been able to act her own age in years, she's downright ashamed of herself if she ever behaves like a teenager should. Lucky sees her for who she really is. A teen with the weight of an entire nation on her shoulders and does her best to try and ease her mind. Vivi needs this so bad that the kindness makes her latch onto Lucky very quickly. She needs the comfort that her presence provides and seeks her approval.
Portgas D. Ace
Type of yandere
Clingy - When Ace decides to let someone in, he won’t let them leave. Sorry, not sorry, he’s with you for life now! He clings to Lucky especially because he can see a bit of himself in her, mainly the loneliness that seems to hang over her despite being allegedly an amnesiac.
Protective - He protects his own, that applies to Lucky. It doesn’t take much provocation to get him to attack someone for bothering her.
Description
These two are thick as thieves damn near off the bat, they click instantly. Ace’s fondness only grows when they get separated from the rest of the group and have a chance to hang out one on one. He is one of the few people who questions her amnesia. Sure, he can bet she forgot some stuff after hitting her head that hard, but there are little tells she has that indicate to him that she may remember more than she lets on. He doesn’t pry because he of all people can understand wanting to get away from one’s past, but he has his suspicions. When he sees how cagey she gets at the mention of family, it all comes together for him. Her family must be awful! Good thing he has a solution! He is very persistent in getting her to join the Whitebeard Pirates, believing that it will be perfect for her. She’ll get to have a big happy family, including having him as her brother.
Rob Lucci
Type of yandere
Sadistic - He lives for the thrill of the hunt. The high that he gets from chasing down Lucky is unmatched, so he’ll let her go every time so that he can do it again and again.
Description
I hesitate to even call this relationship platonic because that implies there is some level of fondness. There isn’t. Lucci’s interest in Lucky begins and ends with hunting and terrorizing her. The amulet is not to blame for his obsession, he's just like this naturally.
Kalifa
Type of yandere
Delusional - Kalifa wants to believe that they’re the best of friends, and literally nothing can convince her otherwise. The mental gymnastics she does are off the charts.
Description
Kalifa has never had a real friend. She’s had coworkers at best, nothing more. Spending time with Lucky feels so refreshing, she’s so nice to her and doesn’t appear to care about what she can get out of Kalifa. They’re just talking like… friends? Is this what it’s like? She’s convinced that they’re best friends, despite all of the evidence to the contrary. Friends disagree sometimes, that’s all that her protests are. A mild disagreement that they will laugh about later.
Romantic Yanderes
Buggy the Clown
Theme song - Never Ever Getting Rid of Me from Waitress
Type of yandere
Delusional - He will die thinking that Lucky used to be a part of his crew before he made the biggest fumble in history and “scared her away”, and nothing that his actual crew says will convince him otherwise.
Possessive - Buggy is very materialistic. He wants things that are only his and that applies to Lucky.
Description
The way that Lucky stood her ground and firmly told him what to do was an awakening for him. Despite him acting like he’s this scary, merciless man, he’s whipped for Lucky. On the off chance he tries to boss her around, all she has to do is give him a dirty look and he’s back pedaling at the speed of light. He genuinely believes that what she said about joining his crew the night before their confrontation was true, and he thinks the only reason she left is because she felt insulted by his doubt. There is a steady stream of gifts (stolen treasure) and flowers being sent her way as an apology for his egregious behavior.
Smoker
Theme song - Life Eternal by Ghost
Type of yandere
Obsessive - He can’t get her out of his mind, no matter how hard he tries to not dwell on her so much. Once he’s accepted it, he indulges himself by collecting every little piece of information he can find on her.
Manipulative - This guy knows what he’s doing. If he doesn’t play his cards perfectly, he could lose his chance to have Lucky be with him willingly. He will do or say whatever he needs to in order to keep Lucky in the dark.
Description
He’s well aware that his feelings towards Lucky are wrong and would disturb anyone who learned about it, so he’s careful to never let anyone see this side. After their first encounter in Loguetown, before he even knew she was a pirate, he found her to be somewhat endearing, but these mild feelings spiraled out of control as they continued to run into each other as he hunted down the Straw Hats. At first he was content with the glimpses he got of her when they crossed paths, but then he wanted to see her more so he started taking pictures when no one was looking. Then he started following her around undercover, which led to him swiping any personal items of hers he thought she wouldn’t notice missing. He’ll always need more.
Kaku
Theme songs - Hopelessly Devoted to You by Olivia Newton-John
This Is A Life by Son Lux, Mitski, and David Byrne
Type of yandere
Delusional - In his mind, Lucky is this poor, unfortunate victim of circumstance that needs to be saved. All of her resistance is interpreted as being the result of her not knowing what’s good for her.
Protective - Kaku would sacrifice himself to save Lucky with zero hesitation. Ideally, it won’t come to that, but he is prepared to do so. Fortunately for him, it hasn’t come to this yet so he settles for beating/killing anyone that threatens her well being.
Description
At first, Kaku felt pity for Lucky. He saw her as a battered captive of some pirates, and while he did offer to help her, he was willing to let her make her own choices when she insisted she was fine. As he spent more time with her, he found himself entertaining thoughts he hadn’t given much mind to in years. Visions of a normal life where he isn’t an assassin and can live happily with someone he loves. He tries to bury these feelings down because he knows it’s a bad idea, but his resolve crumbles when he sees Lucky at Enies Lobby. Why shouldn’t he have a life he actually enjoys? Why can’t he just quietly slip away with the love of his life so they can be together? He decides then and there to run away from everything with her. She’ll understand.
Paulie
Theme song - Call Me Little Sunshine by Ghost
Type of yandere
Protective - The first word that comes to mind when he meets Lucky is ‘frail’, and he never fully sees her another way. She needs someone to protect her from all of the dangerous men of the world, and he decides that will be him.
Possessive - He doesn’t like other people ogling Lucky. If he had it his way, he would be the only other person she ever saw.
Description
Due to Lucky being so injured when they arrived at Water 7, she was dressed pretty conservatively because she didn’t want people staring at her. Her being so covered up made Paulie act more civil than he usually would. Rather than accusing her of trying to seduce him, he just had a normal conversation with her while kinda fussing at her to take it easy with how banged up she was. It was pleasant, and he found her to be charming. But… if he found her charming then so would other people. Other people might have ill intentions for her, but he doesn’t. He just wants to keep her safe! And maybe a couple of other things that he’s in denial about, but that’s beside the point!
Iceburg
Theme song - Curses by The Crane Wives
Type of yandere
Possessive - What started as a respect for her integrity rapidly grows out of hand. It’s hard to find people like that. He wants to keep her for himself.
Protective - He understands better than most how dangerous the world can be for someone who is being targeted by the World Government. After he sees her bounty poster he feels the need more than ever to keep her away from the public eye and with him.
Description
No one is more surprised about him becoming a yandere for Lucky than Lucky is. After getting into a pretty intense argument after his attempted assassination, she assumed he would hate her, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. She had nothing to gain and everything to lose from defending Robin, but that didn’t stop her from yelling at him and he can admire that. He hadn’t been affected enough by the amulet to stop her from leaving, but he did make her an offer to be his new assistant. Once he catches wind of Paulie’s interest for her, he encourages it because distance has made the heart grow fonder and he needs to have her back in Water 7. He refuses to take on a new assistant because he's obsessed with having her in that position. He'll complain to her in a letter that he can't find anyone for the job and try to convince her to help him out "temporarily". As he's writing this, he throws a stack of fifty applications into his fireplace.
Eustass Kid
Theme song - Halo by Soil
Type of Yandere
Obsessive - Before they ever meet he is obsessed with who the owner of the backpack with all of the mysterious objects is. He is hellbent on finding her and stops at nothing to track her down once he sees her bounty poster that confirms she is alive. After they meet and the mystery is solved, the obsessive part dies down a lot and shifts into the next point.
Possessive - Lucky is his. He considers him finding her backpack as something of a sign. Lucky is going to be with him and he doesn’t care if she’s happy about it except he definitely does he's full of shit.
Description
When he finds a backpack with some strange technology in it that he can’t figure out, he becomes obsessed. Luckily for him, among the items was a wallet with an ID that he assumes must be of the person who owns this stuff. The elation he feels when he finally tracks her down is like a drug. Having her explain what the things he found were satisfies him a little bit, but not completely. He finds her to be interesting and wants to pick apart her mind and learn everything he can, so why should he let her leave? Because he said he would? Ha! He’s a pirate, it’s her dumb fault for trusting him! He’s determined to keep her on board the Victoria Punk, and he’s willing to hurt her if he thinks that will work. It’s not his first choice, and he wouldn’t be happy that it came to that, but he is willing to go that far and tells her as much. Somehow he is surprised that Lucky is afraid of him
Trafalgar Law (this is brief, I’m still ironing their relationship out)
Theme song - Darkness At The Heart Of My Love by Ghost
Type of Yandere
Protective - It’s a cruel, unforgiving world out there, and he doesn’t think Lucky is strong enough to survive it on her own. She should be grateful that he’s going out of his way to protect her.
Description
They initially bond because she is one of the sanest people among the Straw Hats, so if he has to deal with them he will gravitate towards her. The world is already dangerous enough, but seeing how unhinged her crewmates are stresses him out and makes him think she is one insane stunt away from her untimely demise. He’s good at masking his obsession towards her as simply being concern for her well being.
Bartolomeo
Theme song - IDOL by YOASOBI
Type of yandere
Obsessive - He doesn’t need Robin’s handbook on Lucky because he already made one himself. He knows everything and no one knows how he got most of that information.
Worshiper - This man worships the ground she walks on. She's a divine being that he is lucky to be able to occasionally breathe the same air as.
Protective - If Lucky is in danger when he’s around, she isn’t going to be anymore. He’s quick to use his devil fruit to keep her safe and won’t hesitate to eliminate anyone that was bothering her.
Description
It’s only natural that the #1 Straw Hat fanboy would get a little crush on at least one of them, and by little crush I mean full on obsession. Despite how blatant he is about it, Lucky doesn’t realize that he’s yandere for her because he’s like this towards ALL of the Straw Hats. He's just like that. They get along very well much to the chagrin of anyone else that’s interested in Lucky.
Donquixote Doflamingo
Theme song - RUNRUNRUN by Dutch Melrose
Type of yandere
Possessive - He doesn’t even fully see Lucky as a person, she’s a thing that he wants to own. That being said, she’ll be a well-maintained thing, but she shouldn’t expect to have any of the freedoms a person should have.
Description
Haki doesn’t work on Lucky since she is an anomaly that isn’t supposed to be there, and that’s what catches his attention. He’s intrigued and wants to know more. Then he finds out that she’s close with Law and that’s all the more reason to take her into his custody. He wants to keep her around for his own amusement and will do so by any means necessary, and he has no qualms about seriously injuring her to do that. Lucky's amulet has no effect on him, he's a natural yandere for her. This makes him extra dangerous since there was never any basis of love, just a possessive obsession.

Thinking about skypiea and how much trust luffy put in his first mate, I'm ILL again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"With you here... ... How could this happen?!"
Luffy couldn't even fathom the idea of zoro failing to keep the rest of the crew safe, like the idea seemed pretty much unthinkable. So for luffy to see his first mate lying there, beaten up, and unconscious???
But even after Skypiea luffy never loses his trust in zoro and i think that's beautiful.
Like, we all know the SHC means everything to luffy. So trusting zoro with his nakama means so muchh, you don't understand-
1. Long Ring Long Land Arc
Tumblr media
2. Post War Arc
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His nakama means the world to him, and luffy entrusts them to zoro the most (in 'certain' kind of situations), i'm just-

Hey I saw your post about Zoro and Sanji getting jealous over every person they meet getting a crush on Usopp and it reminded me that I made up an entire Pirate Crew OC's with the sole purpose of all of them having a crush on Usopp (because he deserves having a bunch of people fawning over him <3) and how this bleeds to Zoro and Sanji (and to a minor degree Nami and Luffy) to get a little more "possesive" over him like sitting closer to him, glaring at the other crew members (Luffy in his Luffy way), more physical contact (specially Sanji), Usopp meanwhile thinks its all really funny but tries not to think too much about it or he'll get really flustered
Meanwhile the other crew is just chilling talking amongst them how cute the Strawhats Sniper is, mildly oblivious to the rest of the crew's murder looks (as in, lets ignore it because obviously that guy is taken and we respect that)
Anon your brain is so gigantonormous……… I’d like to assign myself the role of Captain of the Usopp Admirers.
IDK what your OCs are like but I imagine that a scenario such as this can go as follows:
The Straw Hats are hanging around on an island while they wait for their log pose to reset and they run into another pirate group. Luckily, the other pirates are similar in their interest in having fun adventures rather than looting or pillaging. It's good times all around as the two crews laugh party, eat, and drink. It doesn't take long for Usopp to take his place on the main stage and grab everyone's attention as he shares the dramatic tales of the Straw Hats. His crew mates are watching fondly as the other pirates are left starstruck by their sniper and storyteller. Usopp happily plays his role as an entertainer--dancing, singing, telling jokes, doing magic tricks, and showing off his sniping skills. The other crew head back to their ship that first night singing Usopp's praises.
Over the next few days, the pirate crews mingle and it soon becomes clear to the Straw Hats that their new friends are completely enraptured by Usopp. The rest of the Straw Hats are chopped liver compared to their sniper, only made worse by him playing into it and soaking up all the attention. Nami can't help but feel scorned when she catches him fixing up a weapon for one of the other pirates. Luffy frowns when someone on the other crew throws an arm around Usopp's shoulder. Sanji bites his cigarette in half when Usopp is handfed food made by the other pirate crew's chef. Zoro grips the hilt of his sword when he goes to one of the other pirates for protection.
The Straw Hats are a possessive bunch, so it doesn't take long for the other pirates to realize that their admiration of Usopp is going to have to remain platonic. If looks could kill Zoro would've slain them a thousand times over. He doesn't say much, but he stays near Usopp and glares when one of the other pirates gets too close. Nami makes sly comments about their sniper, who is their priceless treasure. Sanji is even touchier than usual as he runs his hands over Usopp's arms, holds his hand, and tugs on his hair. Luffy doesn't bother hiding his jealousy. When his frustration boils over he grabs Usopp and yells that Usopp is his sniper and they can’t have him!
As his partners, Zoro and Sanji can’t simply allow for their boyfriend to be accosted right in front of their eyes. They kiss him right in front of everyone. They whisper promises in his ear that make him go red in the face. Sanji calls him pet names and Zoro holds him from behind.
Usopp is absolutely loving all of the attention. He's embarrassed because he doesn't really understand why he's the one being fawned over, but he'll happily soak up all the adoration. He loves seeing how much his nakama care for him and it's pretty funny to see how possessive they can be.
The other crew find the Straw Hats’ possessiveness amusing, and they’re glad that Usopp is part of a crew that loves and value him so much. They leave the island with lots of hugs and compliments for their favourite sniper and promises to meet up later on the Grand Line.
“Usopp, love?” Sanji says once the other pirates’ ship is out of sight. “Let’s avoid entertaining affections from other pirates in the future, hm?”
Zoro nods, arms crossed. “Don’t entertain anyone. You don’t need them. You have us.”
Usopp laughs and buries himself further in their arms. “Hey, it’s not my fault that everyone wants a piece of the Great Captain Usopp. But yeah, okay. You guys are all I need.”

Okay, I'm feeling very emotional tonight and my ideas may not make sense, but... am I the only one who feels like Nika is stealing the spotlight from Luffy and the Straw Hats? I mean, I know it's an important part of the story and there's a prophecy and the devil fruit but... I feel like the manga has focused a lot more on Nika's believers and how much he means to a lot of people, so I feel like those who believe in Luffy, Luffy as he is, are left behind and it is strange, all this coming from a character who does not want to be a hero or a god, does not want to be praised or idolized. I can understand that Luffy is the type of character who carries the dreams of his nakama (that is, everyone he meets and he decides he likes) but I still find it dehumanizing to elevate him to an unhealthy level of carrying the hopes of the world.
I would like Zoro to have the atheist moment of him like: "I don't give a damn about your God, that's my captain!"
After all, Zoro doesn't believe in gods and Luffy being Nika, I don't see why things should change. Because Zoro was the first to believe in Luffy. And one of the most valuable points of their relationship is being equal. Zoro will fight to be stronger just to reach Luffy, to have his level in strength and spirit, because the pirate king deserves no less.
So, I can imagine Zoro continuing with his indifference to divinity, perhaps dialogues like:
"I don't believe in gods, I still don't, but I believe in him." He will always believe in Luffy.
Although of course I'm Oda, I think any direction he chooses will be interesting.

Straw-hats as Caregivers
requested by a very kind anon <3
My attempt at doing a sort of 'reader insert' type thing. Please spare mercy on me, for I know not what I am doing /lh Oh also, bit of a trigger warning for a couple of mentions of vent regression. Nothing to bad though
~~~
Sanji:
~Sanji would be great at playing pretend. Setting up a fake restaurant, going on a grand make believe adventures!
~If you regressed on the older side he would definitely teach you how to cook. Though he'd be very unsure about letting you into his kitchen if you were too small
~He would be the first to know when your sippy cup needs to be refilled, and each time he’d have a different drink for you to try.
~The type of caregiver to make airplane noises when feeding you and set out an extra plate for your stuffed animal to enjoy as well.
Zoro:
~Zoro would let you sit on top of his shoulders, or carry you around piggy back style. He thinks of it as extra training, you think of it as pure fun
~He'd give you little gifts now and again seemingly at random, with things that he think you might like when small. For example a small pocket sized stuffed animal that he saw on a display, a type of candy he thinks you might be interested in trying, or a pacifier that just happened to be your favorite color.
~You can't tell me he wouldn't enforce nap time. The greatest swords man has no time to deal with overtired and fussy little one when the problem can be so easily avoided by a power nap. Weather or not you agree with this depends on the day
Nami:
~If anyone asked, Nami would say that she is clearly the best caregiver in the world. She has everything under control, thank you very much. Anyone who thinks differently can expect a 20% increase in the debt that they owe her.
~Gives off the vibes of a very cheeky older sister
~A very soft spot for little you. If there’s something you want she’s going to do everything in her power to get it for you.
~She’d be surprisingly sweet and understanding when it comes to you vent regressing. While she’s not the best at comforting people, she does sympathize with the feeling of being overwhelmed, and through pure will power and determination she does her absolute best to cheer you up.
Usopp:
~He'd make a bunch of props for playing make believe with. Foam swords and paper crowns, treasure maps, and of course miniatures for any of your stuffed animals so they can play along
~Usopp would make up the best treasure hunts for you to partake in. With elaborate riddles and a fun prize at the end!
~Him and Luffy would definitely rope you into shenanigans when the two of them are regressed
Luffy:
~He would easily remember each one of your stuffed animals names, along with anything special about them. Treating each one as a special nakama whenever you’re regressed.
~The type of older sibling esc caregiver who would waiting until the adults are busy so that you two could get into mischief together.
~Helps you to come up with new made up games. Something that would confuse the rest of the crew if they weren't there at the time when it was being created.
~He’d have a hard time understanding vent regression. He gets being starting out happy then getting triggered by something and feeling bad, but not regressing from the get go and feeling sad.
Robin:
~Her specialty would be looking after little ones that regress super young. Being able to care and dote over someone would be super soothing for her
~ The rest of the crew refer to her as mama bird taking care of her baby bird
~She’d pick up picture book versions of all the things that she’s studying do that you can read along with her
~Not the best at playing along with your imagination. Too stuck up with the actual details and rules to play make believe.
Chopper:
~Chopper would probably know what age regression is way before you ever told him. Something that he read into while studying at some point in time. He knows enough about regression to know possible triggers , the difference between vent regression and regularly being regressed.
~He’s gotten used to being a cuddle buddy whenever your regressed. It gives him a viable excuse to take a break from his work and join in on nap time
-If you had a nightmare Chopper would do his best to comfort you and get you back to sleep. He’d offer to listen to what it was you dreamt about, although he’d probably get upset as well, in that case he’ll take your hand and the two of you will go and find another straw-hat (probably Zoro) for you to talk to
~He would love to play a bunch of different outdoor games. Things hopscotch, tag, hide and seek
Fate Chapter 02. — Zoro
Roronoa Zoro X OC X Trafalgar Law
The story tells about the encounter between Yuki with Straw Hat Pirates from different worlds and different eras.
Tumblr media
After waking up, the first thing you see when open your eyes is a strange room. At first thought it was just a long dream, but nothing changed when you woke up and still in your room on the ship.
The bed was lined with old clothes given by Nami and Robin. There was a bed in the room, a wooden-designed wardrobe and table, and lights hanging from the ceiling. You can also feel the ship rocking slightly as it drifts on the sea.
You lay on the bed and watched the light flicker, "I'm not dreaming."
Suddenly you heard a loud shelling. You felt something was wrong and quickly got out of bed ran out of the room to see what was going on. You ran in the direction of Luffy's loud noise.
The ship is being attacked by cannons, causing the ship to keep shaking. You almost lose your balance but quickly hold on to the wall to maintain your balance. You see two large ships firing at "Thousand Sunny" Luffy's pirate ship, although it's lucky that they didn't hit the ship.
You are all pirates and criminals wandering the sea. You will inevitably encounter any surprises and enemies. Raid also includes the Marine, the World Government's maritime military force responsible for maritime law enforcement and naval warfare operations.
You see that it's Marine's ship that's attacking. Ussop and Chopper are panicking and hiding for cover, Luffy and Zoro are dealing with the cannonballs and Marine.
"It would be unbelievable if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes." You were shocked when you saw Zoro split the cannonball in half with his sword and then returned to Luffy. The splitting shell stayed in mid-air and exploded. You covered your face with your hands to avoid being hurt.
Sanji ran over and took your wrist. "It's dangerous here Yuki-chwan. Don't stand there and find cover!" Before you left with Sanji, you glanced back at the scene where Luffy and Zoro were fighting. You could do nothing but pray hope both of them safe.
Sanji took you to Nami's room for temporary shelter "I'm going to help outside, you two stay here first." Then Sanji left you and Nami then left the room.
You walked back and forth in the room, worried about their safety "I wonder what happened to them..."
"I'll get dizzy if you walk like this. Don't worry, they'll be fine. They'll be done with just a few small soldiers. Just glad it's not the general who takes action himself." Nami sat on a chair, flipping through the newspaper and crossing her legs.
"It happens every day?" You wonder what they go through every day.
Nami closed the newspaper immediately after hearing your question. "Almost every day. It's a daily routine for us. Just leave it to the three of them to deal with it and it'll be fine."
When you listen to Nami talk about, you stop "Really...?"
"I know you are worried about them. We are Nakama, trusting each other is the most important thing." Nami put her hand on your shoulder and smiled.
"I understand." You‘re feeling relieved.
There was a knock on the door and the two of you paused the conversation. You didn't know what the situation was like outside. It might be a Marine invasion. Nami picked up a weapon from the table waved her hand to tell you to take a few steps back. You understood and followed her instructions to step back a little.
Nami turned the doorknob then the door opened slightly. Suddenly a voice came out, "Nami-swannnnn~Yuki-chwannnn~Are you okay~"
You hear this familiar accent "Sanji!"
"Is everyone okay?" Nami put down her weapon.
Sanji proudly lit a cigarette. "Of course. The ship just a little damaged, nothing serious."
You smiled brightly, put your hands on your chest, and let out a sigh of relief as your heart settled down "Great, you're okay."
"Goddess, Goddess~!!" Sanji was so excited, nose started to bleed, he raised his hands and shouted.
Seeing how exaggerated and weird Sanji's reaction was, you and Nami looked at each other couldn't help but laugh. Sanji pressed his hands on chest saw you and Nami's beautiful faces. His heart couldn't stand it any longer.
"Is this paradise?" Sanji danced excitedly.
Nami tapped Sanji's head lightly, "Let's go and clean up. Yuki, change into some light clothes and come back."
You looked at your outfit ,you’re so anxious to run out that forgot to change into a clean set of clothes. You left Nami's room returned to own room. You picked up the clothes on the bed one by one and looked at them. You felt a little troubled.
In daily life, except for going to school and working, you wear a designated uniform. Almost all the tops you wear when going out on the street are simple T-shirts, a jacket, cropped pants or short skirts.
The temporary clothes that Nami and Robin gave you, they were all quite revealing. Thinking of Nami and Robin, most of their clothes show off their waists. Nami's outfit today is a bikini top paired with denim tights.
They traveled across the sea every day, it was understandable that they wore little clothing as the weather was so hot. Luffy just wore a straw hat, an unbuttoned red shirt reveal his figure, and paired it with cropped pants.
Zoro is wearing a green coat, black trousers and black boots. Sanji is in a full suit, Chopper has a furry body and a pink hat. Franky wore a pair of underwear, and Robin wore a simple one-piece short skirt.
Although it may seem revealing to wear less clothes, it is not a bad thing to at least keep cool. Everyone seems to be used to it. Since this is the case, if you want to get familiar with other worlds, you must do as the locals do.
"I'm giving it all..." You sat cross-legged on the bed with sweat on your forehead, staring at the black bikini top and denim shorts.
You untied the bow of your school uniform, unbuttoned your shirt one by one, took off your shirt folded and placed it on the chair aside. Pick up the black bikini top and tie the straps around your body.
After putting on your bikini top, you slightly adjust your breasts with to make them look fuller and more natural. You unzipped and took off your school skirt, putting on a shorts and a pair of black short boots.
You look in the mirror, "I've never worn anything so revealing in my life... In the past, people would have looked at me strangely when they saw this outfit." You sighed helplessly.
The first thing you think about after leaving the room is rush to help clean it. Ussop hurriedly moved a wooden box to the other side. When he noticed you, he immediately braked and stopped.
"Yuki! Bring the two buckets of water over there to Chopper! Thank you!" After saying that, he left in a hurry.
You walked slowly with a bucket full of water in each hand "It's so heavy..."
"Hey, let me get it." Someone took a bucket from your hand from the side.
It was Zoro. He took the bucket without saying anything. You looked at him with a puzzled and ignorant face.
In your dazed state, Zoro noticed that you had changed your clothes. You are wearing a black bikini top that shows your plump breasts, and a pair of shorts that show off your slender legs and your slim waist.
You came into this world wearing a conservative school uniform, but now you are wearing Nami-style clothes. He was used to seeing Nami and Robin or other girls dressing like this, but you were the one who thought it was a bit subtle.
Maybe you come from another world, so he feels fresh and slightly special from your change. Obviously he often sees other people dressed like this but he really thinks you're hot.
In addition, the weather is very hot today, and some hair is stuck to your white and tender skin due to sweating. The sweat drops slowly flow from your forehead to between your breasts, which looks very erotic.
"Zoro?"
When you called his name, he was completely awakened from his daze. "To whom?"
"Ussop said it was for Chopper. Are you okay?" After saying that, you thought about the scene of him fight against Marine just now and a little worried.
Zoro avoided your eyes indifferently "I'm fine." After saying that, he turned around and left.
"Zoro, wait for me." You quickly followed him.
After Zoro put the bucket down, Chopper and Robin began to soak the cloth in the bucket and wring it out before starting to wipe things. When Nami saw you, she called and waved to you. You went over and took the mop to help her with chores.
Franky called Zoro to help move things quickly to help repair the ship. Zoro picked up the plank put it on his shoulder, glanced at you, and started working. Sanji and Brook stood aside to observe you, Nami and Robin's graceful and sexy figures.
"Nami-swan is very dazzling. Robin-chwan is very beautiful. Now Yuki-chwan is so attractive." Sanji said seriously even had a nosebleed.
Brook agreed with what Sanji said, "I have never regretted joining the Straw Hat Pirates in this life."
While you were busy mopping the floor, you accidentally saw an inexplicable scene where Sanji and Brook who had a bleeding nose, high-fived and hugged each other. Knowing what they were thinking, you were speechless and inexplicably amused.
Nami smiled erotically, "Yuki, your figure is really amazing."
You lowered your head looked up from your feet and up again, "Really? I think you and Robin are better."
"Hehehe, Yuki, you have such a sweet mouth." Nami patted your back.
You smiled slightly, "I'm just telling the truth."
"The damage to the ship was small this time, luckily." Nami sighed while hugging the mop.
You nodded "I'm glad everyone is okay."
While everyone was working together to clean the boat, Luffy was jumping over with a bucket of water then accidentally kicked the board and was about to fall. The water splashed on Zoro's back. Zoro put down the board and stretched Luffy's cheeks to quarrel.
"What the hell are you doing!" Zoro angrily grabbed Luffy's collar.
Luffy said "I'm sorry..." with an aggrieved look on his face.
You took a towel and handed it to Zoro who was already wet. "Dry it quickly or you'll catch a cold."
"Marimoooooo that guy." Sanji looked extremely unhappy.
He let go of Luffy took the towel you handed him. He wanted to say "Thanks..." but he hesitated.
"Huh?" You were confused by Zoro who was hesitant to speak now.
He scratched his head "Thanks, Yuki." He said it calmly.
It was the first time you heard him call your name, "You're welcome." You felt very happy.
After a while, the cleaning was completed, to the previous world you cleaned the class after class every day. Thanks to this outfit you can stay cool while cleaning on a hot day.
Nami handed towel to you. The two of you found a place to sit down began to wipe the sweat off your body. After Robin and Chopper finished cleaning, they came over to sit and chat together.
Nami fanned herself, "It doesn't matter if it's hot, it will get even hotter once you clean it."
"That's right, I'm all sweating." Robin wiped the sweat from his forehead with a towel.
"So thirsty~" Chopper lay on your lap.
You gently stroked Chopper's furry fur, "I'm thirsty too."
Sanji excitedly stepped in between the four of you midway. His eyes stared lovingly at you, Nami and Robin. It was like seeing the arrival of a god.
"The three sweating ladies are awesome~ they look even sexier and more charming~" he said excitedly, clasping his hands.
You thought if heard such words in your world, you would call the police. But Nami said Sanji is like this to every girl. Although he is lustful, he still retains a gentleman's demeanor, and very protective of girls so can rely on him more.
"Sanji...I need a cold drink..." Nami fanned herself.
You raise your hand "I want to quench my thirst too."
"Leave it to me! I'll prepare it for you right away~" He ran away excitedly.
Chopper sat up "Arigato, Nami and Yuki. Otherwise I'm going to die of thirst."
"Hehehe, no way." Robin touched Chopper's head.
After a while, Sanji enthusiastically came over with four cups of cold drinks, "My beautiful and lovable ladies, it is difficult for work in this hot weather, so I offer you a cup of my special cold drinks~"
Since you are not used to eating food when you come to their world, you will first make judgments about the appearance of the food. The color of the drink is orange, and you smell a faint orange flavor. You take a sip with a straw in your mouth. It tastes so fragrant and it is an orange-flavored drink.
"Hehehe, it tastes really good." Robin took a sip and tasted it carefully.
Chopper drank the drink in one gulp "It's finally cold~"
"It tastes great!" Nami continued to enjoy the deliciousness of the cold drink.
Sanji looks at you, "How do you like it? Does it suit your taste?"
"It's so perfect that it conquers me." You bit the straw and got intoxicated by the cold drink.
Sanji after hearing what you said he immediately knelt down on one knee and held your hand with a serious look on his face, "Yuki-chwan, although the world between us is far apart, please allow me to come into your heart and protect you for the rest of your life."
"Huh?" You were fooled by his love words.
Luffy came over and interrupted "Sanjiiii~ I want it too~"
"I want it too!" Ussop also joined in the fun.
"Tch! Don’t disturb Yuki-chwan and I's wonderful romantic time!" Sanji suddenly got angry and was super annoyed because Luffy interrupted him.
"Want me to help?" You want to help him.
Sanji let go of your hand then stood up, "Ladies, just enjoy yourself and leave the rest to me." Then he dragged Luffy and Ussop away.
Franky heard Sanji’s special cold drink and said, “Sanji, I want one here too.”
"Is there any frozen wine?" Zoro stopped working.
Sanji lost his temper , "Come and get it yourself!"
A fierce argument after, they followed Sanji go inside to get drinks. You seem very lively as if they are a family taking care of each other.
Nami raised his glass, "This ship's special treatment for women comes from Sanji." She winked at you.
You bit the straw to understand what Nami meant, "Wow, then I'm really honored to be treated like this."
"Do men in Yuki's world treat women like this?" Robin asked you curiously thinking about this question.
Chopper came closer, "I'm curious too, because you seem to be not used to Sanji's personality."
"The men around me generally don't treat every woman like this. After all a sudden thoughtfulness will make you a little wary." You probably explain to them.
Nami stirred her cold drink with a straw. "Is there a lot of danger in your world?"
You put your hand on your chin as if thinking, "Not long ago, I was riding the subway and a male classmate who was about the same age as me spoke to me."
"Then what?" Robin listened carefully and cared.
"During the conversation, he picked up the phone with his other hand took a photo under my skirt." You feel annoyed when you think about it.
Suddenly Sanji heard the content and rushed over, "Really?!"
The other people became curious, each grabbing their own drinks and gathered around to continue listening to your story. Originally it was just you, Robin, Nami and Chopper, but now other boys are also here to listen.
"Wow!!" You were startled.
Robin continued to ask seriously, "Then how do you deal with it?"
You still feel angry when you think back to that incident. "I thought about slapping him, but after found out that the person was the principal's son, they just took money and sent me away. I felt worthless they just use money to deal with the humiliation of me."
You finished speaking and looked at the others, they all looked very unhappy and looked as ferocious as if they wanted to kill someone. Even the cute Chopper’s face is fierce but so cute.
"If I were here, I would make sure that he has no descendants!" Sanji raised his feet and shouted angrily.
"I really want to wring that guy's neck." Although Robin had a kind expression, her words were so dark.
"I must tie him up and sell him!" Nami wanted to sell that kind of person for money.
"I will beat him away for you!" Although Luffy looked happy, he was already clenching his fists and preparing to fight.
"Cut him." Although Zoro just continued casually, he was exuding murderous intent.
"Yohoho, I haven't even seen the bottom of Yuki-san's skirt. I must throw him into the sea and feed it to the monster until he is left with a skeleton." Brook stated his motive.
"That guy will be punished by Captain Ussop!" Ussop held his slingshot weapon.
You were so moved by everyone's reaction that you laughed out loud. Everyone looked confused, knowing that this incident would hurt you. Luffy saw you laughing and he laughed too.
Chopper poked "Yuki, what's wrong?"
You wiped away your happy tears. "I thought to myself if that guy came to this world, he would be beaten to a bloody pulp by you. But now I can't see that guy anymore, so I'm relieved. Thanks for fighting for me."
Franky was moved after hearing what you said, "What a good girl."
"That's exaggerated, Franky." You laughed.
Brook picked up his guitar, "Ahem... Now that everyone is gathered together and welcome the new member Yuki-san, I will sing a song for everyone."
"Brook can sing?" You looked at the voice being prepared to start.
"Yuki-san, I am "Soul King" Brook, a musician and swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates." Brook said proudly, playing the guitar.
"What a cool skeleton!" Your eyes shine.
Brook started his performance singing a song with his guitar, everyone swayed and clapped to the rhythm of the music. It’s really nice to be able to listen to music performances so close. Usually you watch them on TV or on your mobile phone.
He finished his performance you immediately applauded enthusiastically and gave him an "encore!"
"Encore?" Brook was curious what you were talking about.
"Oh, encore means that after the singers, performers and other performers have finished their performance, the audience appreciates the performance and hopes that the performer can return to the stage to continue the performance." You told him the meaning of the word.
"Encore? It's a word that really suits me." Brook's expression showed that was very happy.
"Hey everyone! Let's have an encore!" Luffy jumped up and applauded enthusiastically.
"Encore!" As Luffy and you set the mood, others shouted slogans and applauded warmly, giving Brook a round of applause.
The atmosphere was heated so Brook decided to continue his performance. Luffy was so excited pulled Ussop and Chopper to play hand in hand. Robin and Nami sat aside and hummed happily to the rhythm.
You are immersed in the warm and lively atmosphere now. In the past, when you came home nothing else to do except your homework. Now you can get together with everyone and have fun, as if they have filled your life with colors and emotions.
You are still a little sentimental in your current life. What should do if suddenly return to your own world one day? Just go back to that boring world and study hard every day.
All you can do now is enjoy every minute of living with them. They are a precious treasure and irreplaceable happiness for you. Hope you can have a chance to tell them "I love you Straw Hat Pirates" before go back.
This thought suddenly came into your mind, you felt so sad and choked when you poked a sore spot for no reason. You took the empty cup and left first, not wanting to interrupt their lively atmosphere.
You walked into the kitchen to refill the cold drink that Sanji had just made. You leaned against the table and wiped away the tears that almost fell. You turned around and saw Zoro, who was blocking the door with his hands crossed on his chest.
You catered to him with a smile, "Zoro! Are you coming for a refill too?"
"Yeah." He just said coldly and continued to remain silent.
Picking up the cup, you prepared to leave but he still blocking the door. "Zoro, please make way."
He walked towards you, and felt a little impatient in his eyes. Subconsciously, you immediately started to step back and lean against the table. You held the cold drink in your hands and gulped, wondering what he wanted to do.
His hands were placed on the left and right sides of you on the edge of the table, and his left foot was between your legs. He was so close to you that he was literally right in front of your eyes.
When you first see him, he is a silent man who loves to drink. But when you get so close, you have to look up at him. He is really tall and powerful, with strong muscles and a scar on his eye that highlights his wild side.
You didn’t have the opportunity to see such a strong man so close in your world. You couldn’t help but peek at his figure because of the turmoil in your heart, but his eyes were full of impatience. You still shrank and lowered your head and asked, “Excuse me, what’s wrong? "
He just wanted to ask you why suddenly looked sad without telling everyone what you were thinking. But his body and unconscious attitude toward you were so proactive that he was annoyed by what was wrong with him, now he stopped and felt embarrassed.
He maintained his current posture, thinking about how to speak first, "Are you okay?"
You don't know what his intentions are and feel confused, so you casually say, "I'm just thinking about something."
"Really...Then why do you have this expression?" He has noticed your mood change.
This is the first time someone is willing to listen to your thoughts. You hesitate and try to tell him, "I'm very happy to get along with all of you, but it's just feel a little sad if suddenly have to go back one day in the future."
"Then have more fun." Zoro felt relieved after hearing what you said and raised the corners of his mouth slightly.
You smiled brightly, "Okay."
Sanji noticed that you were not there, he excused himself and went to look for you. He was wondering you might be refilling the drink in the kitchen, he saw an inexplicable and unpleasant scene at the door of the kitchen.
"Marimo, what are you doing to Yuki-chwan!" Sanji rushed over.
Sanji used his strength to drag Zoro aside and you were scared and you clenched the glass filled with cold drinks in your hands. You finally got rid of Zoro, but the two of them suddenly dragged each other and started to quarrel.
"What did you do to Yuki-chwan!" Sanji bumped Zoro's head with his forehead.
Zoro bumped Sanji's forehead back without showing any signs of weakness, "Nothing done!"
"Are you kidding me? I see you have bad thoughts about Yuki-chwan." Sanji was annoyed.
Zoro replied unhappily to Sanji, "That's what you think!"
Suddenly someone hit them both on the back of the head with a fist, "Stop it, you two idiots!"
It's Nami! She gritted her teeth, raised her fist with her left hand showed a fierce look, and put her right hand on her waist. You took the drink and ran to hide behind Nami. You took a glance and saw that the two people had stopped arguing.
"What are you two idiots doing!?" Nami was extremely angry.
Sanji pointed his index finger at Zoro "This idiot Marimo is harassing Yuki-chwan!"
"I don't! Perverted chef!" Zoro pointed back at him.
It is conceivable that they really didn't get along with each other and started arguing again.Nami punched them twice to calm them down. Nami sighed and looked at you hiding behind him and asked, "Did Zoro harass you?"
I shook my head, Zoro didn't touch any part of your body. Zoro shook his head wordlessly, and Sanji looked stupid.
Nami clapped her hands, "Okay, since we have nothing to do, let's leave now. Sanji will prepare the ingredients for dinner, and Zoro go do your own thing." After explaining, she left.
Sanji was so angry and his right foot burst into flames, "Marimo..."
"Want a fight?" Zoro smiled evilly and held the scabbard, pushing the sword with his thumb to expose it.
You already think the special effects are cool when you watch Anime, but now you can actually see with your own eyes Sanji's feet can spontaneously ignite flames, and Zoro splits a cannonball in half with a samurai sword.
"Stop! Stop fighting!" You quickly ran to stop them both.
Sanji saw you running over quickly put out the fire "Yuki-chwan! It's dangerous!"
"Hey! You!" Zoro started to panic when he saw you running over.
"It's more dangerous than the two of you fighting! Idiot!" You closed your eyes and shivered, holding the cold drink and shouting.
You are timid and cowardly, but Zoro knows you are strong at heart. Even in a strange world, you still face it with a smile as usual. You are brave enough to take a step to stop them both. He glances at you and sighs, deciding to temporarily call a truce with Sanji. Otherwise he will accidentally hurt you.
Sanji felt extremely relieved when he noticed the cute and timid appearance now. He really couldn't bear to make you sad now,so he chose to stay calm and not argue with Zoro about things.
You opened your eyes to peek, "Are you guys going to stop arguing?"
Zoro snickered, "Idiot. Don't rush out like this next time." After that he left.
"Idiot Marimo, how dare he call Yuki-chwan idiot! But for the sake of Yuki-chwan, I won't care about that Marimo." Sanji took out a cigarette and lit it.
"Phew...that's great." You smiled slightly.
Sanji suddenly grabbed your hands with both hands. "Yuki-chwan really can't rush over suddenly next time. It's dangerous." His expression was very nervous.
You nodded to show you understood.
Sanji gently touched your head, "You are so good Yuki-chwan~" Although he had a cigarette between his teeth, he still smiled at you.
The warm scene was interrupted by Sanji suddenly got a nosebleed and was startled. You panicked and started to run to find Chopper but Sanji pulled to stop you.
He took a clean handkerchief from his pocket and wiped the nosebleed. Your nervous and panic reaction made his heart melt completely, his heart was beating fiercely all the time.
"Sanji?" You tilted your head and looked at him.
He regained consciousness and subconsciously let go of your hand, "Sorry."
"Want me to help with dinner?" You asked politely.
"Leave the work in the kitchen to me. Yuki-chwan, just stay tuned." Sanji put out his cigarette.
Sanji had already started to take out a sharp kitchen knife to prepare ingredients for dinner. You took the cold drink and went back to find the others. You saw Nami and Robin discussing something, and they immediately waved to you when they saw you.
"You've been busy all afternoon. Do you want to take a shower together?" Robin invited you.
"We can have dinner after taking a shower~" Nami stretched.
"Okay." You happily followed them to the bathroom.
You walked to the bathroom together, immediately took off all the clothes and soaked your bodies in the bathtub. All the fatigue you felt disappeared at once, as if you had become one with the bath water.
Sanji brought the fragrant food to the table. Luffy smelled the smell and rushed to grab it, but was stopped by Franky. Everyone was sitting at the dining table waiting for before starting. Only Luffy was drooling.
Luffy murmured and shook his feet impatiently, "Neh... Where are Nami and the others?"
"They taking shower together." Chopper told Luffy.
"Taking a shower together?!" Sanji and Brook yelled.
The two of them imagined the three of you naked taking a bath together, playing in the bathtub, touching each other's bodies and other obscene thoughts.
"The three ladies who caused the crime." Sanji spoke with a serious expression.
"I want to help them brush their backs," Brook said frankly.
"If Nami hears what you two said definitely will be beaten." Ussop added.
When Zoro recalled that your upper body was only wearing a bikini top and shorts, he almost lost control in the kitchen just now, he didn't know why he felt this way.
The image of you sweating kept recurring in his mind, the sweat dripping from your hair slowly sliding from your collarbone to between your breasts. He admitted that you were really erotic but he still resisted the urge.
"It smells so good!" A female voice came from behind.
You, Nami and Robin changed your clothes after taking a shower and walked to the dining table to find others. Not far from the dining table, you can smell the delicious food cooked by Sanji.
Chopper waved from his seat and jumped up. Looking at his cute appearance, you happily ran over to pick him up with your hands and hold him high. He is as innocent, lively and cute as a child, reminding you of the past inadvertently.
You put Chopper back in his place, you saw an empty seat next to Zoro and sat down. Zoro took a sip of wine and glanced at you briefly to see that you were tying a high ponytail with a hair tie.
Look at you again in the off-shoulder top with a one-line neckline, exposing your collarbones and shoulders. He smelled a faint floral scent. The strange thing is that this scent can be smelled on Nami or Robin every day, but it is extra special to have this scent on you.
Luffy snatched a piece of meat and put it in his mouth to chew, "Let's eat!"
Zoro came back to his senses when he heard Luffy's yell, otherwise he would have really fallen deeper and deeper. Maybe it's because of your identity makes you particularly attractive that he has an undue desire for you.
He couldn't figure out why so he chose to give up thinking and just put a bottle of wine into his mouth and started drinking. You were shocked because it was as simple as seeing how strong he was drinking, as if the bottle of wine was just boiled water.
Remembering Luffy's huge appetite, you quickly grabbed some food put it on your plate before he finished eating. You are very happy now and it is really wonderful to be able to live a harmonious life with everyone.
To Be Continued—
x
Sea stone bullets are a cause for concern, but not as much of one as a person might think. Nami’s captain has always been unsettlingly perceptive when it suits him, since well before any of them had any idea what observation haki was. He knows when a bullet is coming that he can’t bounce away.
It doesn’t do him any good to know sometimes, though. Not when he disregards the warning of danger on purpose.
And there was really nothing else he could have done in this case, Nami is reluctant to admit even to herself, because if he had dodged, Chopper would have been shot in the back of the head. Luffy had, to his credit, thought to deflect the tiny missile with armament, but it only caused the glass casing to shatter and the substance inside to spill free. A few drops against his skin was all it took.
He dropped like a stone.
Usopp lunged in at the last second and caught him before he hit the deck. But then they all had to watch Luffy’s head loll, limp and unresisting. It was horrifying. It happened so fast. Despite everything Nami had seen up to this point, she had never been more afraid than in that moment.
“What is that?” Zoro bites out, an arm spread to the side to keep his nakama from getting too close to the spill.
It shimmered eerily in the late afternoon light, the sky overcast but still just bright enough for Robin to grow an expendable hand near the mess and pinch a bit of it in the corner of the picnic blanket they had all been lounging on all of ten minutes ago. She ground it between her fingers, protected by the blanket, to feel the texture. Within moments, understanding touched her face.
“Infused with sea stone,” she said.
Chopper squirmed between his nakama’s bigger bodies, shouting, “Take him to the infirmary!”
Usopp was off like a shot, Luffy in his arms, Chopper right on his heels. Sanji joined Robin and Zoro at the starboard side of the ship, staring out at the remaining warships with the same look of murder in their eyes. Franky was already at the helm, and Sunny was turning in the water to face the Marines; the cannon mouth hidden in the figurehead opening to rain destruction. Brook was laughing, high-pitched and chilling, in a way that surely carried across the distance between themselves and the unlucky bastards who thought a cheap ambush would be enough to net the Straw Hats’ collective bounty.
“A squall is coming,” Nami said, feeling the shift of the weather in her bones. “Destroy the ships but leave the soldiers alive. They’re so eager to play with sea stone—let’s give them a taste of how it feels to drown.”
“Fitting,” Jimbei rumbled. He was the most honorable person Nami had ever met, but just like the rest of them, all bets were off and morals thrown aside when it came to anyone who would try to rip Luffy away.
By the time revenge had been swiftly doled out, and Brook’s violin easily covered the sounds of the Marines in the water, Usopp reappeared on the deck to say, “He’s okay.”
Nami’s heart still didn’t settle, not until she had bullied her way into the infirmary, planted herself on the side of the bed, and held her captain’s face in her hands to see for herself.
“He’ll sleep for awhile, probably,” Chopper said. “Until that compound works its way through his system. There isn’t a counter-agent for sea stone—” yet, the glint in his eye suggests “—but it only weakens Fruit users, it doesn’t kill them outright. If it were a bullet lodged in his body, maybe ultimately it would fester and poison him, but this is just a trace. It’s like, um…like a sedative!”
“Maybe we should keep some on hand for when he’s being annoying,” Sanji said dispassionately, as if his hands weren’t trembling around the cigarette he was trying to light.
Someone nudged Nami’s shoulder. She glanced up, and Zoro said, “Storm.”
“Right,” Nami remembered. “We need to get Sunny prepared.”
She was reluctant to leave Luffy, but he trusted her to lead them safely through troubled waters, so that much she had to do. Brushing her thumb over the scar under his eye, she eased her hands away then stood up and started barking orders.
It took some effort, but Sunny danced through the wind and rain like it was all play, and hours later they came out the other side unscathed. There was a small island ahead of them, a crescent moon curve of pink sand and tropical flowers and a dilapidated, long-forgotten pier. The New World being what it was, Nami didn’t trust the peaceful picture for a goddamn second, but it would be a convenient place to moor for the time being.
Besides, Luffy would whine if they started an adventure without him.
He missed dinner and slept through the night. Sanji is prickly and short-tempered at breakfast the next morning, crafting fluffy omelets and frying potatoes and chainsmoking angrily out the window. But his entire attitude shifts when familiar voices outside bicker their way toward the dining hall, and the galley door bursts open to reveal a wobbly-looking Luffy, an irritated Chopper, and Brook, who continues serenading their journey with a tiny ukulele.
“SANJI!” Luffy calls across the room. “Feed me or I’ll die right now!”
“No you’ll die ‘cause I killed you for leaving before I said you could!” Chopper snaps.
“He’s already here,” Sanji says, across the room in seconds and frogmarching his captain to a seat at the table. “Might as well eat.”
“Lu, how are you feeling?” Usopp demands, leaning across the table eagerly and nearly sticking his elbow in the butter dish. “You look like shit.”
“Mean!” Luffy says.
“Accurate,” Nami butts in. She takes him by the chin, turning his face towards her. His brown skin has an unhealthy pallor, lethargy clinging to him despite his animated good cheer. He looks like any other flu-ridden teenager. As she studies him, he wrinkles his nose and sticks his tongue out. “Brat,” she scolds without heat, releasing him.
It’s such a relief just to have him at the breakfast table. Franky starts in on a wild story about the storm Luffy missed, and Robin discreetly pushes the platter of brown sugar glazed ham closer to his plate. The morning sun, pouring through the window, suddenly seems warmer and brighter than it did moments ago.
Still, Chopper is right. Luffy, force of nature that he is, starts to flag almost immediately following the meal. The burst of energy deserts him quietly. Nami only notices by chance, on her way toward the garden with Usopp. She casts her gaze out over the deck as she crosses it, and pauses mid-step.
Zoro is sitting back against the side of the ship the way he always does when he’s trying to catch a few extra minutes of rest, the brim of a worn straw hat tipped over his face to shade it from the sun. Nothing about that stands out.
But his strong arms are curled comfortably around Luffy, who naps sprawled against his first mate like a clumsily-thrown blanket, slack face pillowed on Zoro’s shoulder.
“Luffy’s sleeping?” Usopp says, a bit too loud in his shock. “He just woke up.”
“Chopper did say it would be a few days before that shit was out of his system,” Franky pipes up. “Poor bro must really be feeling it.”
“I told him to stay in bed,” Chopper gripes irritably. By now most of the crew has gathered, a combination of mirth, curiosity and lingering concern preoccupying their thoughts, and Nami watches Chopper cross the grassy deck and tug lightly on Zoro’s sleeve. “Hey, hey. Will you take him to the infirmary, please?”
Zoro opens his eye, a sharper gray than any blade, but never cutting when he looks at his family. After a second, he closes it again.
“Nah.”
Zoro may be a shithead at times to Sanji and Nami and Franky and—okay, most people—but all of his younger crewmates tend to get an automatic pass. Nami honestly can’t think of a time he looked at Chopper and said “nah” about anything that didn’t involve his own health. From the baffled look on Chopper’s face, neither can he.
“Huh?? Why not?”
“We’re sleeping.”
“And he can sleep in the medbay!” Chopper insists.
Zoro scoffs and moves his captain closer.
“Go get your own.”
Chopper gapes wordlessly. All the rest of Nami’s nakama have a similar expression on their faces, something between stupefied and offended—save Robin, who presses a secret smile behind her hand, and Jimbei, whose rumbling chuckle is just barely audible over the sound of the sea.
Nami—who knows very well what Zoro looks like when he’s trying to get a rise out of someone, who knows very well that she has a claim on Luffy that only a handful of other people in the world share, one that can never be broken or stolen or changed—feels herself bristle, too.
“HE IS OUR OWN!” the majority of one of the most infamous pirate crews in the New World shriek like schoolchildren.
Luffy’s eyes drift open in the chaos that follows, squinting through the haze until he can bring the faces of his nakama into focus. They’re all so lively, shouting and arguing about something, their ship the brightest, busiest thing under the whole sky. The sun touches his skin, warm and laughing, like it’s trying to tell him a joke.
It’s so comfy. Soon he’ll get up and shout with them, and eat some more, and fish and play and plot a new adventure. But first he’ll dream a little while longer. He knows his friends won’t mind.
WHAT LIES BENEATH THE MOMENTS
Tumblr media
Synopsis: It isn't just the simple gift but how he sees and understands deeper than that.
• Relationship: Vinsmoke Sanji x female reader
• Content: fluff
A/N: I know I am late (exams are approaching), but I still want to post it. Heads up! This is a lengthy post with 2.1k words. If I have the time tomorrow, I'll be able to edit the previous fics.
In the same routine, errors are to be expected. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it! :D
Tumblr media
There are many reasons to look forward to a new beginning; just something with morning and sunrise excites you. As a pirate, you have become accustomed to the rhythm of the sea and how it tells its mood. However, it may not be as precise as the navigator’s perception, but still, the idea of the sea breeze brushing against your skin as you exit the girl’s room is relaxing.
“Good morning to this lovely lady! May I see your panties?”
The creative way of the musician - Brook, caught your attention. He always has different ways to wake everyone up; even a simple greeting is innovative. He sings a phrase or even plays a soft melody from his violin; he radiates liveliness despite his skeleton appearance.
Throughout your venture into the sea, you have witnessed the highs, lows, and bewildering situations caused by your crew. So when you were about to reply when Usopp yelled, ‘duck!’ immediately, you did as you were told, leaving Brook standing before you and becoming the victim of Luffy’s fist.
You giggled at the musician, who was clearly pained by the punch, “I think that’s the fortune to your question.”
“You idiots!” Nami rushed to their side and smacked the captain along with Zoro, “I swear the next time you would pull another stunt like that, I-myself will hang the both of you at the rear part of Sunny!”
“I told you, Nami! We want to venture the island!”
“No! You can’t!” apart from you and Zoro, those who heard Luffy’s whine rebuked him with glares.
Everyone was busy doing something, and you know what it is. Today wasn’t just typical for everyone; it was one where everyone would do the crew’s best to keep the lousy liar - Luffy, from exposing their plans. Somehow, with all the days you’ve shared with your friends, you’ve become so attached to them that the idea of leaving a crew drives you crazy.
A lot of preparation was needed, and everyone had to be discreet as much as possible. You quickly found your own task and gave your friends some light assistance.
When you were finished with your part, you scanned the deck of The Sunny and found Luffy slouching his face on the railing, mumbling to himself, dejected by the definitive decision of his members.
You were not at ease to see the captain full of rays of sunshine being so forlorn. With a smile, you walked up in his direction. When he noticed you, he called out to you, almost beseeching you to take him from his misery.
You know how it was hard for him to be submissive. Knowing how frisky he is, it pains you to see how hard it was to restrain himself from doing what he wants to prevent the one thing that your nakama fears.
Those who were left on the ship were anxious to let Luffy and Zoro venture the island, fearing that they might cause something, as these two are prone to trouble. They are considered to be trouble magnets because everywhere they go, the ship won’t be able to dock for too long on an island.
“Wear it well,” you placed his signature hat on his head. “We’re going to explore the island,” you announced, which made your captain wrap himself around you, hugging you tightly and expressing his gratitude.
“You are also coming,” you say, pulling the swordsman as he passes by carrying a barrel.
Your nakamas heard about your declaration and hurriedly approached your place, raining you with questions and worries.
“We’ll be fine,” you assured, pulling the arms of your rubber captain, who was suffocating you with his attachment. He was stretching his head and squinted his eyes to observe the island. “I’ll be with these two to ensure nothing wrong will happen.”
Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Brook, and Franky studied you briefly. They knew about your whimsical character, and when it’s being paired with Luffy and Zoro; hell loses. Though they are much worse than you are, regardless of that, you’re still a ticking bomb for the authorities to notice. If they would choose someone to go with the three of you, it could be between Robin or Jinbei; however, the two accompanied Sanji in buying the necessary rations for their adventure.
Seeing how determined you were, they eventually allowed the two to be with you. As soon as you stepped on the island, the two parted ways from your presence, promising they won’t do something stupid; Luffy even forced Zoro to be with him, as all of you cannot afford to commit a mistake. In response, you just reminded them to return before midnight.
As you searched the place for something, there were different stalls and even shops which you checked individually. To your dismay, everything could have been more interesting.
You bought party hats, something that Luffy would love. He mentioned that he wanted to buy a part hat, but knowing he’ll be busy with food and whatnot, you decided to buy it for everyone.
Before exiting a small shop, something caught your eye. As you scrutinized it from being hanged on the wall, a small smile crept on your lips. Perfect.
It was an apron with the phrase: ‘I cook the best meal’ etched on it.
You hurriedly purchased it before leaving the shop, elated that you finally had your own present for the cook.
It was already evening when you decided to return to where the three of you went separate ways. And true to their words, Zoro and Luffy were waiting for you far from The Sunny. On the other hand, the captain was holding some food while Zoro was carrying a paper bag which you presumed to be the sake. It was new to see them without being chased by the marines. But knowing the reason behind it, you understand that they might be unpredictable to the others, but within your circle of nakama, all of you would do everything for one another even that means risking your lives in the lifeline.
Luffy waved in your direction, “I heard that there will be fireworks at midnight to welcome their one-week festival!” he shared excitedly. “I say we have to stay not too far from this island later!”
“Of course,” you nodded as the three of you started to walk, “Sanji doesn’t know that we docked here… to avoid ruining the plan, we must return to where he thought Sunny was.”
Time went by, and before all of you noticed, it was a moment of anticipation. You could hear some footsteps and voices talking outside, but none of you dared to speak. As soon as the door opened and the subject for today’s celebration turned the light on, all of you exclaimed with one word.
“SURPRISE!”
Robin and Jinbei popped the party popper from behind him while Luffy ran to Sanji and placed a party hat on his head. Everyone showered him with greetings and laughed at his astonished look. It was a moment worth remembering.
Franky walked up to him carrying a cake while everyone sang him a birthday song, yet you silently took everyone’s pictures.
This day is a moment worth capturing.
As usual, living in moments where you wish it won’t end usually comes by faster than you anticipated. Everyone was enjoying it, and Brook even started to sing. It was a banquet full of fun, full of life, and full of warmth.
Trying to get some air, you headed outside, bringing sake. Tonight was almost surreal; everything just fell right where it should be. There were no ruckus nor marines. It was odd that a pirate ventures on an island without crossing into a fight.
As you sat, you contemplated how the plan your crew formed days ago finally succeeded. There were lots of revisions and colliding ideas. Yet everyone came to a decision; although Luffy was reluctant, most of the distress your nakamas expressed was his character as being impulsive and rabble-rouser; hence, he must stay at the ship throughout the day, he still agreed begrudgingly.
“I figured you’d be here.”
Without looking at who it was, you already know that it was Sanji. Opening the cap, you poured sake on a cup and turned to him.
“Hey, Sanji,” you called, passing a cup of sake that you sneakily hid from the green-haired swordsman.
He responded by calling your name with the suffix chwan and spins towards your direction serving you one of your favorite desserts.
Thanking him sincerely, you looked up at him, contemplating before popping the question.
“What would it be if you could say something to little Sanji?”
It was a sudden hypothetical question that he never expects you to ask, let alone think about. But it would be presumptuous of him to believe that he knows you from the inside out. Just as he felt he figured you out when you would unexpectedly astound him, Sanji shrugged off the idea of being eager to discover your personality.
It would take him too long, perhaps, forever, to see the shades of you. However, be it as it may, time will eventually lead him to see the whole image of your character. Amid those discoveries, Sanji wallows, witnessing your wittiness.
“Well…” he paused and recalled the days of his yesteryears: the struggle to live like most kids do barely scraping the day and the recent events at Wholecake Island until this very moment.
Sanji stared at your curious look, and his demeanor escalated quickly to him - with hearty eyes and hands clasped. “I would say that you keep living because the adventure of being with beautiful women is waiting for you!” he says, his tongue sticking up.
All you could do was stare as he started to list what he likes to say to his younger self. He wasn’t irritating; as you listened without saying anything, you realized how adorable it was to see him like that. Despite Sanji being enthusiastic towards women in most days, there was still something you could not feel in those seconds in ordinary moments.
Perhaps it was because how no one was there to chastise him? Or how would you have the liberty to listen without being disturbed? It could be both. Either way, you could spend the night listening to him because being with Sanji brings a sense of relief to your soul.
Noticing how it seems already late, you butted in from Sanji’s narration of sentiments. “Happy birthday!” you cheekily greeted.
With excellent timing, from the island not too far from where the shipped dock was earlier, a small light went up the sky, bursting into different colors and preceded by various ones that continued to light up the sky.
The fireworks behind you continue to wake the sky with its different colors. Eyes twinkling from levity, Sanji was at a loss for words. It wasn’t because you appeared to set everything: the fireworks with your greeting, but because he got struck with awe by the view before him.
You were breathtaking with your genuine laughs.
Right before midnight, you finally said the words that Sanji hoped to hear coming from your lips, unbeknownst to you. Although you were the last one who greeted him as the day had ended, to him, it was the perfect way to wrap everything up. He couldn't ask for more.
Today is just too perfect; everything falls into your ideal plan.
Sanji was elated.
“I could die in peace!” Sanji screamed with his typical heart eyes and flew with the blood that blasted from his nose. You were worried as you could hear him declaring his affection mid-air, but a voice chimes in before you can do something.
“Let him die.”
Turning to the source, Zoro stood, taking the bottle of sake you took earlier, and drank it without thinking. You squinted your eyes with brow-raising but chose not to say something. However, Zoro spoke again.
“I’ll be willing to toss his body at the sea when his drama ends.”
“Oh shut it, Zoro; now is not the time for that.” you berated, gazing at Sanji, who was still enjoying the feeling of cloud nine.
Indeed, there are different reasons to wake up each day. Still, more profound than what’s on the surface is the notion of spending another day as a Straw Hat Pirate and the chance to create something that strengthens the bond with your friends, especially with the best cook you’ve come to adore.
When everything ended, you excused yourself and headed to the girl’s quarter, thinking how he would react seeing the present that you placed in one of his safe spaces.
Meanwhile, as everyone settles down and starts to crash their body against their bed, Sanji, on the other hand, chooses to stay awake for tonight’s watcher and places the presents he received from everyone in his locker.
He was contemplating this day, Sanji had forgotten that it should be a special day for him, but knowing his experiences, celebrating birthdays has become his least priority. The efforts made by his friends had reminded him that it wasn't the luxurious things, delicious food, and surprises that mattered. It lies behind those touches of laughter and moments to share: a bond that cannot be severed by anything or anyone, a thing that he has and what his sister told him.
When he thought everything was finally settled, Sanji caught a folded cloth that he was sure wasn't his nor had he placed there. Picking it up to check what it was, and before he knew it, he was smiling to himself.
Sanji knows what would be his favorite apron from now on. Grinning from ear to ear, he noticed the note he knew you had written.
Happy birthday to the fantastic cook in all the corners of the sea!
Hello!! I was wondering if you could do some headcannons for a reader (g/n) who doesn’t eat much and tends to sleep during the day with the strawhats boys?
For some more information to work with, let’s say the reader is a new crew member! They may be a bit of a cuddler when sleeping (/p), and will probably offer whatever they can’t eat to Luffy. They are from a cold climate and will usually clean their plate with cold foods, and seem to enjoy sleeping in cold, dark or even damp areas. In warm climates, they’re usually trying to sleep 24/7 to avoid the heat.
I hope that helps, and feel free to have fun with this! Go wild!
a/n - I didn’t know a request could describe me-??? 🗿 how tf did you do that anon? 😭 tysm for this request anon! I hate hot weather and rn in America it’s ridiculously warm 💀
Warnings ⚠️ - g/n reader, fluff, platonic relationships <3
89°+
Tumblr media
Luffy
- He always loves a new Nakama!
- First time he met you, it was almost clear as day that he had to invite you to the crew
- but! He was so confused when you didn’t even have close to how big of an appetite this rubber man has
- Why did you always give your food to him?
- It was almost kinda- dumb to him 💀
- “Y/n! You’re always giving me perfectly good meat! Why don’t you eat any??” (He’s saying this as his mouth is full with your food)
- When you try to explain that you just don’t have much of an appetite, he can’t understand
- this boy can’t fathom how you wouldn’t take up the offer of perfectly wonderful meat
- but you make up for it because you allow him to fall asleep on your shoulder during the day for a nap!
- He finds you very comfortable to lay on :)
- Zoro totally gets it, sleeping is life
- You sleep- quite a lot during the day, maybe even more than Zoro
- It made Luffy interested in just watching you as you slept, or trying different ways to wake you up
- One of them being throwing you into the ocean 💀
- Or maybe putting a plate of meat in front of your nose to see if the scent woke you up like it did for him
- During the hotter days, he finally noticed that you slept a LOT more and seemed to eat even less than you did before
- First thought he had was that you were dying :’)
- He asked chopper to make sure you weren’t dying
- “Maybe y/n just needs some meat! I’ll give some of mine, maybe that’ll make it all better?”
- “..Luffy not everyone is like you-“ -Nami
- He’s definitely a bit concerned! But after your explanation, it gave him some peace of mind
- “Ohhh so you just don’t like the hot weather? So how about I throw you into the ocean? That’ll make you better right? Ok let’s go!”
- he literally picked you up and chucked you into the ocean 💀
- what made it worse was that he jumped in with you because he thought it’d be fun .-.
- You ended up not only having to try to not drown, but also save Luffy’s ass
- He learned his lesson, “y/n hates hot weather”
- During the colder seasons, he noticed you were a lot less exhausted and tired
- He loves playing in the snow with you!!
- he gave you his cold food and made you give him your meat, fair trade
- he usually stayed near you because since you’re accustomed to the cold, you were naturally a pretty warm person
- you also enjoy sleeping when it’s raining, the damp, clean smell of the rain, and the soft pattering against the wood and windows of the room you slept in only made your sleep more pleasant
- Luffy loves how you sleep a lot during the day! Perfect person to use as a pillow for naps lol
- You don’t like warm foods? Give him your stuff and he’ll trade you his cold food :)
Tumblr media
Zoro
- of all people Zoro is the one to understand how you sleep a lot during the day
- I mean- have you seen how much this man naps??
- He can sleep through a fucking tornado or a war 💀
- he’s not a fan of hot weather either, but not as much as you
- You sleep more to try and avoid it, so he’ll try to bring you some cold water every now and then
- He immediately took notice to your dislike towards hot weather, and as well as hot foods
- he’s kind of confused as to why you don’t eat a lot, but he leaves you alone about it, after all, this man has no room to talk with his lack of directional sense :/
- he’s actually impressed because he isn’t as used to the cold as you, so he still has to wear extra jackets out in the snow
- He very reluctantly asks you how you’re so used to the cold
- But when you just say that you’re “used to it” eh- that doesn’t bode well with him
- Man has a mission now to be able to withstand the cold
- He took all his jackets off (yes like in chopper’s first arc lmao) and started swimming around and diving into the snow headfirst
- “… is he getting dumber?” -Sanji
- yea he got sick, and then decided to continue doing whatever he was doing, not connecting the dots that perhaps being out in -20 degree weather without proper clothing wasn’t smart??
- this man doesn’t know what the fuck a cold is, so you had to educate him about that
- “Zoro. It’s a cold. It’s not a person that’s trying to stop you from training. It’s literally your body saying you need to rest.”
- you forced him to put clothes on (you had to get Nami to punch him to knock him out to make it easier on you)
- all in all, cold weather (with proper clothing) = yes
- cold weather + no clothes + swimming in ice cold water + skin touching snow directly = fuck no
Tumblr media
Sanji
- at first, Sanji didn’t really like how you never wanted to finish your food
- So when he confronted you about it, and you explained, he tried his best to be an understanding friend about it!
- He started making you colder foods so that you’d eat more often and finish your food :)
- and no he will not let Luffy touch your food lmao
- he learned to make smoothies and that sorta thing if you liked them :D
- He didn’t pester you if you were napping while it was time to clean the deck, not because he treated you like his previous Nami-swan and Robin-chwan- but because he knew that you probably needed some rest
- Hot weather was absolutely horrible for you after all
- He’ll let you nap on his shoulder but I don’t think you’d want to bec he’s always smoking- so it might smell kinda weird 💀
- Zoro gets mad at him for letting you nap and not letting him nap
- “Well at least y/n doesn’t have moss green hair you dumbass!”
- “At least I don’t have curly eyebrows you perverted cook!”
- it turned into a brawl btw and yes it woke you up
- you walked up onto deck, tired eyes, seeing Luffy perched on top of a barrel (in L’s sitting position lmao) with something sticking out of his mouth
- “Oh hey y/n! Do you want a popsicle? Sanji made ‘em.” He said, offering one from the.. Many in his hand
- (ok popsicles are amazing lmao)
- Nami knocked both of them out so don’t you worry!
- You can eat your popsicle in peace with chopper :)
Tumblr media
a/n - oh gosh- I feel like these were kind of aimless and funky- hope y’all like them tho 💜
Not a meta but Sanji is the most similar to the straw hat women.
Idk why??? Kinda???
I'm barely in the Naval Fortress arc of the anime and most things I know about the crew's past are from spoilers, so I won't claim to have a perfect opinion on this matter. It's just that whenever I look at the crew, their backstories, the way they act, the way they see the world... Sanji stands apart with the girls.
Luffy, Zoro, Ussop, Chopper... They were never forced to join an evil pirate crew or organization when they were still children or teenagers. Not in the way Nami had to join Arlong or Vivi had to join the Baroques; not in the way Robin had to join all those organizations since she was barely 8 years old just to survive. There's something about those experiences and Sanji's past with Germa. I don't like you, I'm not like any of you, I actually hate you for hurting so many people, but I have to pretend, I have to try to be what you wanted, I have to do it to stay alive, a bit longer, just a bit longer.
I'm also talking about the political burden they all carried. Nami, Robin and Sanji had no one by their side to guide them. They were either fugitives or pieces of the geopolitical game. How scary it was for them, to know how little they were, how unfair their lives were...? To know they could never look back, there was no kindness waiting for them if they didn't take it for themselves.
You have the same narrative frame for the mother figures in their lives: the ideal woman who guides on who and how they want to be. Bell-Mere, Olvia and Sora sacrificed themselves for them, to offer them a future. There's the toughness and there's the kindness and there's the opposition to figures of power they disagree with. They'd not bend or break. Nami, Robin and Sanji inherited their will.
When Sanji scolds Luffy, Zoro and Ussop for their dumb ways, he does it similarly to Nami. They fill the same role in that sense. And yeah, they can be obsessed with money and women, but when push comes to shove they trust and admire their crew more than anyone else.
What about the self-sacrificing arcs? When Nami, Robin and Sanji knew their crew was threatened by their own affiliations with a shady organization, none of them doubted to turn their backs and go deal with it themselves. They "betrayed" the crew in the process, too scared to see their friends hurt or be the cause of their suffering. They'd fight for any of their nakamas, but somehow don't see how that applies to themselves. That was the big fight between Vivi and Luffy, after all. Why would they sacrifice themselves while denying their crew the chance to risk their lives for their nakamas? Why are they taking those decisions for everyone else? Why do they have to suffer alone?
Why do they think that the straw hats would ever stand aside and let that happen? It is an insult to what they believe in, to who they are. They don't abandon their friends, never. They are not those kind of pirates.
He can be strong like Zoro and Luffy, adventurous and a silly like them, always on the attack, excited to prove his worth and skills. After all, he's part of the monster trio. There's Ussop, too. There's the whole concept of "being a monster" that the devil fruit users, Zoro and Sanji share.
But if you ask me, there are so many experiences of Sanji's life that only the straw hat women can understand. It's no coincidence that womanhood and the desire (and obsession) with women is a main theme of Sanji as a character. What does it mean to be a woman, what does he desire from them, what does he admire, where does all that love come from. Even when the sexual aspects are used as a recurrent joke, One Piece says a lot through comedy.
I saw you talking about the repercussions of the Death Pact on twitter and boy howdy does that make the hamster wheel spin in my head. Like, YES, please, how would Luffy feel knowing his two wings lied by ommision and that results at least one of their deaths, after Luffy has fought so desperately to get his Nakama to understand their lives have meaning, they deserve to live them for themselves. How does he handle the betrayal on several layers, knowing both felt the choice was necessary?
And Zoro is no doubt suffering even in success, both because he is forced to take the life of some he cherishes deeply and go behind the back of another. And it's doubtful he'd actually go through with killing Sanji unless he *truly* believed it was necessary, so can he even really apologize if he doesn't regret going through with it? How does he look the other Strawhats in the eye?
And how would this inpact group decision making in the future, can they trust in Zoro? Does the group majority believe he made the right choice? Where does this leave Luffy's leadership, if his right and left hands wouldn't even trust him?
I just. Have so maaaaaany thoughts about it man, and it's not like Oda will actually kill Sanji, so who can really say? Heh.
I really want it to happen because along with everything else you said, I want Zoro to hit a WALL!!! To be the world's greatest swordsman, does it TRULY need this amount of sacrifice? Zoro has sacrificed his life for his dream, but what about his crew? His loved ones? Must they be sacrificed too?
After all, Mihawk is on a lonely throne. Mihawk has literally been alone with his crown, what the hell did Mihawk have to sacrifice to get to the top? Is Mihawk happy with where he is right now? He looks pretty miserable to me!
Is Zoro's crew going to end up being a blessing, or a burden? Will Zoro need to make this choice? Will Sanji be the split road where he must decide such a thing?
I need it bad man LMAO
Zosan/Sanzo Fic list
I just wanted to make a list of the fics I've read/Fic recommendations for anyone out there. The ones in bold purple are my absolute favorites. (A lot have M/E ratings and Adult language)
Falling by sorrowfulcheese - The dialogue.. the pacing.. THE CRUST I loved it all. One of the first zs fics haha, it's only tag is fluff. It barely feels like fluff fluff, this is just Zosans personal brand of fluff.
Liquid Courage by sabershadowkat (E) - Sanji experiences drunk Zoro once and keeps trying to sleep with him. (!! some dubious consent the first time). The last line is what got me.
[I saved a lot of shadowsaberkat works, just scroll through their entire account if you're okay with M+ fics]
Alongside All The Way by sabershadowkat (E) - I liked the Adventures going on in the background of the fic. Sort of a compilation of Zoro and Sanji becoming more and more important to eachother
Bit by Bit by sabershadowkat - Getting together type beat. A few moments of Zoro slowly dealing with his emotions for Sanji.
Falling Blossoms by sabershadowkat - I'm usually picky about established but I love the way they write <3. It's short and sweet. Just a lil Zosan date.
Things Unsaid (E) - Established Relationship. Zoro gets injured and they're forced to wait out a snow storm while working through their relationship. (I love this person's characterization of them wayy too much)
Rules of Love (E) - It’s one of those fics.. (conflict, sex, resolution) just the way I like my Zosan. A little internalized homophobia on Sanji's part.
when you say by bluewalk - Unrequited Usosan. Zosan from the perspective of a pining Usopp. (Beautiful, a bit confusing but I loved reading it)
tricks out of your sleeves by bluewalk - Zoro and Sanji are forced to learn a few things about each other's past. IMO it's written pretty gen. I love the character exploration.
Myalgia by Salmon_Pink - An exploration of how Zoro and Sanji talk about thriller bark (they don’t). They used the mood prompt so well the tension was welling up in my chest the entire time.
Understandable by Salmon_Pink (M) - Another short fic by Salmon Pink because they write the two of them amazingly. Zoro and Sanji who will never be emotionally vulnerable with each other out loud.
destructivity is a poison that runs through our veins by wasteofmind (M.. its E to me) - They want to kill each other.
Residue of a Rainbow by Narcissistic_Ninny (E) - Zoro and Sanji go through a traumatic experience and maybe fall in love too. This person has amazing fics, but this is definitely my favorite. Zoro is good at hiding what he's thinking but you just know..
green with envy blues by adietxt - Really short fic with jealous Zoro. I saved it mainly because the narration is a little funny.
it's a long way forward by donutsandcoffee - Sanji can't smile because of a devil fruit. The strawhats love his smile..
you got that something by adietxt - Sanji is forced to stick to Zoro. Nothing but a bundle of fluff and self-indulgence that I enjoyed all the same.
(failed) Stewardship by LibbyLune - Soulmate AU. Sanji's has been dead for a long time. Author has such an amazing take on soulmates I love it. I love Luffy's especially. P.S. The authors note at the end made me fall to my knees.
the universe told me by rudimentaryflair - Soulmate AU. Zoro desperately hides his soul mark while learning about his nakama's. I like how its almost the opposite of how Zoro and Sanji were portrayed in the previous fic I recommended (when it comes to their opinions on soulmates). I love both though.
blood, salt and idiocy by rosie_peverell - Zoro gets a taste of his own medicine. (Sanji gets injured trying to save him). It's short and cute.
and then the sun came out by demonzoro (shrinewreck) - Takes place in pre-ts, post-ts and future. Zosan realizing they're "friends". Extremely Tender idk what to tell you.
a catalog of non-definitive acts by demonzoro (shrinewreck) - Zoro pines. Nothing I say could possibly convey the emotions this fic makes me feel. You just need to give it a read I promise.
for poor and poorer still by rudimentaryflair - Modern AU. Short and sweet. Zoro finally finds the perfect moment to propose.
how normal people do by rudimentaryflair - Namivivi Pov. This is so funny. I love the best friend drinking buddy dynamic of Nami and Zoro. This fic has funny moments that I remember in public and start laughing to myself about.
paging mr. swordsman by rosie_peverell - If I had a nickel for every Modern AU Zosan ficlet that takes place in a grocery store..
The Fall of a Hundred Things by LibbyLune - Sanji sleeps with Zoro after a party one night and it messes him up. Franky is the MVP of this fic. I love him. (Check out author for more good works)
End On A High Note by thisislegit - Modern AU. Established Sanji and Zoro have problems they need to talk about. (Oh how I love the ups and downs of a mundanely domestic relationship)
In Your Warm Embrace by marimoliciousness - Sanji is an idiot and realizes something about Zoro (himself). They get caught in a snowstorm.
migratory animals by donutsandcoffee - Sanji is strong in a way that fascinates Zoro
that's all for now!! I might consider adding more in the future.
handling bad breakups (law, zoro, kidd)
a/n: i was inspired by heartbreak honeymoon to write this, but none of these hcs actually reflect the tone of that song i don’t think >3>;;
angst, he/they law word count: 1k
Law
If you thought the Good Doctor was closed off before, Law directly off the heels of a split, especially one involving an egregious violation of trust, is so much worse
Law is a ride or die, he’s gone about his life wound so tightly in such a way to minimize building ‘unnecessary’ connections as much as possible -they tell themself it’s because of the overarching plan to take down Doflamingo and anyone slowing them down would be a liability at best
Now to have someone commit to the arduous task of worming their way into his heart, only for Law to end up picking up the pieces after they’ve so carelessly broken it? Pathetic
They’re hurt and angry at themself for ever allowing someone to get close enough to affect him like this to begin with
He’s isolating like never before, only allowing a handful of crewmates to bother him every other day for food and maybe coaxing them to bed but otherwise Law would be scarce for even own crew
Law doesn’t mean to snap at them and he feels bad for taking their anger out on the crew, especially the childhood friend trio, but he has no idea what else to make or do of these feelings aside from this and that only feeds into their own self-loathing
If Law’s previous partner was part of the crew, they aren’t any more - given the circumstances they’re lucky to get away with all their body parts in tact if not their dignity from the vicious verbal lashing they got from the crew for wounding their beloved captain so dearly
Easy-going as they are, the only thing holding back certain Heart Pirates from showing this ex what for is Law’s mention that murder for a sour relationship would be in ‘bad taste’ - whatever happened to them outside of the crew’s reach though? None of his business
His crew desperately tries to get Law to lean on one of their shoulders, air out and share his pain so it wouldn’t be so burdensome in the short and long run, but all the captain does is box it away like every other trauma in their life and vows not to think about it because he “doesn’t have the time” with Doffy still at large, he’d address that issue later
(Ie. never because Law didn’t plan to survive Dressrosa, let alone sit down and unpack their feelings of all things)
Zoro
Zoro’s pretending like it never happened, at least for the first week or so - he’s repressing it all to hell and back
It’d be nice if it was someone on an island or another crew that Zoro could simply will out of his memory forever, but if life were that easy he’d already be the world’s greatest swordsman
So here he sits, stewing in his hurt at his fellow crewmate, trying not to resent them for wounding him so badly
It’s easy for Zoro to put up a cold farce, practically muscle memory when his eyes glaze over when they step into the kitchen and take a seat furthest from him, completely ignoring their presence
The awkwardness is palpable and the other Strawhats aren’t sure what to do so it becomes a whole Debacle™ until either party can sort out their feelings
If they apologized to him Zoro would acknowledge it - he’d admit his own faults in the relationship and perhaps how he handled certain things but when it came to their actual transgressions against him, it’s too much of an ask for Zoro to forgive them
The captain’s unhappy at the tension that’s fallen over his crew but, especially post timeskip, would understand at least the gravity of someone being hurt and provide as much comfort to his first mate possible and a little to the ex when he can
Luffy’s not one to disown friends, that’s the very last option that he’d ever want to turn to, but if the offense is grievous enough, Luffy might just - especially if he feels he can’t fix things with a fight or they’ve irreparably hurt another nakama (Zoro, in this case)
If they are allowed to stay, things are never quite the same after that; yes, Zoro heals with time and maybe one day he’ll feel safe enough to share a happy conversation with them as nakama again (and they still are), but for the moment there would be an obvious difference in how Zoro interacted with his ex and the rest of the crew
Kidd
Oh, Kidd is livid - he’s fuming - whatever his partner did to hurt him so doesn’t matter anymore, fuck ‘em
He’s going to be mean and cruel and degrading, lashing out in every way possible to make up for the cavernous hole that opened up in his chest that Kidd quietly wants to swallow him up
There’s tons of screaming, throwing and breaking things; like with Law the poor sap should be grateful to get off the Victoria Punk with their life in tact, if they didn’t? Well, now that shouldn’t be too surprising either
In the privacy of his room, Kidd’s laying faced down and blasting his favorite, most aggressive playlist at full volume in a futile attempt to drown out these pathetic unwanted feelings
No one dares get in his way or has the GALL to ask Kidd to stop deafening half the crew
No one but Killer, anyway - anyone else would’ve met a similar fate to that ex or simply been tossed off the ship as it was moving (whether they’d be allowed to stay after scrambling back on entirely dependent on Kidd’s already turbulent mood)
Kidd’s fucking miserable and there ain’t a thing he can do about it - hell would sooner freeze over before he allowed himself to cry over some fuckwit like that too
(A few tears do escape against his will in a moment of quiet between all the screaming and it enrages him)
First order of business - finding a place and wrecking it, nothing like pretending that you’ve never felt a single emotion ever like causing destruction and mayhem the likes some fuckass upper-class prissy town has never seen
