When Jensen called Jared, Baby. Hmm... They are making this really easy, aren't they
https://twitter.com/Jsquaredheaven/status/1103282574967873536?s=20
He was literally quoting a film. Meanwhile, we have video of him calling Misha "babe", and Misha calling Jensen "sweetheart".

Talking about Jensen and Jared on “Then and Now: A Supernatural Podcast”
Rob: You two have been friends for a while now- Jared: We’ve known each other (mumbles) Rob: Sorry, sorry, sorry. You’ve known each other and been acquaintances. You sometimes answer texts. Jared didn’t sound like he was joking. It’s at the 5 minute mark of the Pilot episode.

Any other interesting tidbits from the podcast? 👀
Well, Jensen admitted to trying to screw with Jared in the audition. As in throw him out off his groove. EDIT: Screw as in “mess with” and “sabotage”. Jensen tried to sabotage Jared’s audition by messing with his focus.
Supernatural had a low turn around for members of the crew. Jensen knew nearly all the names while Jared made passing remarks.
In "Wendigo" they talk about Dean's voice. Jensen says he was inspired by JDM after seeing the Pilot. Jared jokes about Jensen wrecking his voice, and Rich and Jensen joke that Misha had it worse.
Jared talks for nearly all of the podcast with Rob, Rich and Jensen just adding in things every so often. So the norm.
There is merciless teasing of Rob that's fun.
Jensen calls Robert Singer "dad". He says that you always knew "when Dad was on set". That Singer was brought in to control a young Kripke.
Jensen says Kripke hasn't changed much between SPN pilot and S3 of The Boys.
Jensen joked that Kripke took everything he wanted to do to Dean on SPN but couldn't because of network control and did it to Jensen on "The Boys", and Jensen has told his family to not watch "The Boys" because of it. But everyone else should watch it.
There was four months between filming The Pilot and "Wendigo". During that time Jensen and Jared did fight training.
They discussed the promotion circuit back in 2005 and how it was very radio orientated. They had to be up at 2am for interviews in America and do four hour shifts before going on to film.
The fire in the scene where Jess dies was real. They actually set the set on fire, and told the boys if they got "hot" to get the hell out of there. In one take Jensen did and he stopped saying his dialogue to say "I'm getting hot!"
Jared admitted to fanboying a little over some of the cast in the early episodes.
The boys got to meet Samantha Smith and JDM while the Pilot was being filmed.
They talked a lot about director David Nutter and how he was the "Pilot King". Any pilot he filmed got picked up. At the time of SPN he'd directed 11 pilots, and SPN was the eleventh one picked up
There was also a discussion how the crew was young when the show started, and some of them saw "three decades". aka they started in their late 20s and were in their early 40s when the show ended and they still worked there. Jensen put himself on that list.
I'm sure there's more, but those are the highlights.

Hi guys. If you can vote in the Ao3 election, make sure to not vote for Tiffany G. If you haven’t heard, this person wants to censor Ao3. Yes, you heard that right. The site created to go against censorship has someone running for the board that wants to censor content.

WEEK 4 - Wrap Up
THE GOLDEN BACHELOR
youtube
Listen. We are in week 4. There are some of you in this league who have been waiting all year for football to start and more importantly for fantasy football to start but you are having a rough season. You are feeling a bit like you are already ready for the season to be over. If that's the case...I want to encourage you to maybe take a few weeks off from watching the games. Find another show. Maybe instead of being a football fan - you are now a "Golden Bachelor" guy. No, I am not talking about Brett Rutledge...I am talking about the show on ABC. Personally, I have not seen it yet but I am posting a clip above for those of you who might find it interesting. For those that are still interested in football...maybe this wrap up will give you some insight on how to prepare for the weeks ahead.
MALIK MY BALLS vs LONG LEFT BALLERS
Tumblr media
F*#K You Bebo. That's All.
Bebo remains undefeated.
LANAKILA vs TRADE WITH ME
Tumblr media
Well here we go again. Brett loses. I am sure it's because we are not a 1/2 ppr league but whatever it is he is now 1-3. Cliff had a great week putting up 119 points even with Mahomes throwing two INT's and laying down on the 1 yard line. He didn't need it - he won without those bonus points. A big shoutout to Cliff for picking up Achane on the waiver wire and actually playing him. He put up 29, the most of any player on his team. Great job Cliff. Brett, I don't what to say except the obvious...maybe make some trades?
BACKDOOR BANDITS vs MR AWESOME
Tumblr media
Kyle won! Kyle actually won! He only put up 83 points....but after starting the year off with 3 losses in a row he grabs one and begins his climb back into relevancy. And of course with every winner there is a loser...and this week that loser is Gabe Scott. Yes, that means Gabe moves to 0-4. Is that Gabe's fault? Well, yes, kind of. Bottom line, he didn't believe in DJ Moore and the Chicago Bears. If he would have played DJ instead of Rashid Shaheed...then tonight, he would be that little girl in the GIF above. But, he didn't...probably because of his bias against the Bears from being brainwashed his whole life into thinking the Lions are good and the Bears are bad...but whatever it was - he lost. NIce win Kyle. I BELIEVE.
BOOMER SOONER vs TREE HUGGERS
Tumblr media
Do we really think Scott Krippayne is shocked? He won again. He won with 2 players still to play on MNF. Will anyone beat him? Stu Jones tried but came up way short. He even had 35 from Diggs and 25 From Herbert and couldn't get it done. Sorry Stu. You did all you could do...it just wasn't enough. But, you know what this means. Next week Scott Krippayne who is 4-0...plays Bebo Norman who also is 4-0 - in an epic battle to determine who remains undefeated through week 5. Should be an amazing match up!
FUNK GUY vs MOOSES ON THE LOOSES
Tumblr media
Well well well. Dana Cappillino going into MNF with the lead and the high point. Mitch White who loves to take that free $20 whenever he can - still has Seahawk Defense to play but he will need just over 14 points to steal the win and potentially the high point. As always - Mitch started the night with a free 20 points...and as we all expect...those numbers will go down right? Well, no...not when the defense is playing Dana's favorite team - the New York Giants. Sacks, Fumbles, INTS galore...and then a pick 6 when Giants were just ready to score and boom just like that Dana's great week ends up being a loss. So for a 3rd time in 4 weeks Mitch White takes the high point and the win.
HOWARD vs TuPADRE
Tumblr media
Well, the final match up of the night was close when it started and stay close all night. TuPadre had a small lead and both guys had a running back yet to play. Rob with Seattle's Kenneth Walker III and Gully and Son with Matt Breida on the Giants. It all pointed to a slugfest on Monday night to determine the winner but as the night went on Rob creeped toward a win...with a TD from Walker III and then finally late in the 4th Quarter a break out run that put him in the lead and taking the win. Sorry Gully and son...what a brutal beatdown to have to watch that horrible game and end up losing in the final minutes. Congrats to Rob Howard.
SURVIVOR
Tumblr media
Everyone moves on. Well, everyone that was still in. The lucky 7 as I call them.
CHEERLEADER OF THE WEEK
Tumblr media
Meet Jesse Hernandez. The first ever male cheerleader in the NFL. I don't want you guys to think that all I do is post pictures of hot girl cheerleaders in the wrap up. If i did that - I, as your commissioner could be viewed as being chauvinstic...and maybe even homophobic and anyone who knows me knows that I am as inclusive as they come. So, here you go. Check off the male cheerleader box. What do we know about him? Well, he loves dancing. He's very happy when he dances. I am more mad that I didn't think of this when I was younger. I would have made a hell of a Dallas Cowboys CheerBoy!

I have not written a story in over 5 years, I'm going to be a little rusty, my apologies. I don't know how many times I read over this so, any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated. The story picks up pretty quickly, enjoy!!
Do not post this story or copy it as your own, please and thank you.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You adored Rafe with all your heart. After dating for over 6 months, you have learned to see all sides of him. From the good side when he is with you, kissing you, making love, or simply being there for you. Then to the bad side of him doing drugs, hating on pogues (which you hated because you were friends with some of them), constant fights, and jealousy from anyone who went near you.
You didn't mind it at first. You knew how hard Ward was on him and the constant pressure of trying to impress his dad projected itself over to your relationship. But It still wasn't an excuse for his actions. You tried to be there for him whenever he was in a bad mood, calming him down as much as you could, through the highs and lows of it all.
You were laying down on your bed while scrolling through your phone; you were on your day off from working at the country club. You worked as a golf beverage cart girl. Driving around the course and making drinks for the rich Kooks that paid overpriced mediocre drinks that you would make them. You didn't mind them trying to flirt with you. The tips made it all worth it. That is how you met Rafe a few months back. He kept coming back to see you every day with different flirty comments to take you out on a date, till you said yes.
It was one of the best dates you've ever had. He took you down by the beach and had a small picnic with you while you both watched the sunset, where you shared your first and many other firsts that night.
How could you not go on a second date with someone who put so much detail into a first date and made your night even more special with his other package surprise. His best friend, Topper, could not stand to see him flirt with you.
He didn't care at first, but It irked him to know that no matter what he did, he couldn't please, less keep your attention on him a few months back when he chased after you.
He lacked something that you couldn't place your finger on.
It didn't surprise you when he intervened in one of your many encounters with Rafe while you worked.
"Come on, bro, it's not even working on her, can't you see? She's too hard to please," Topper scoffed while Rafe was leaning against your cart, side smirking as he looked down at you.
"fuck off Top, I got this," He responded, sipping a bit of his Mai Tai that you always made him every day. Your eyebrows raised at his words, "I just have high standards Thornton, sorry you couldn't meet them," you responded to him.
Kelce laughed but coughed quickly, not fast enough since Topper punched his shoulder, earning a wince from Kelce.
"Yeah? you're not all that," Topper says back to you, earning a glare from Rafe," You're not worth the trouble."
"Neither are you. Sorry for bursting your bubble," you reply, rolling your eyes and driving off once you made sure Rafe wasn't leaning on it anymore. This was not worth your time and honestly? You just wanted the next two hours to go by so you could go home and sleep. You were a few feet away from them, hearing someone running behind the cart to catch up to you.
"Y/N! Wait up! Please." Rafe yelled as you came to a halt and looked at him, crossing your arms once he was facing you, lips parted as he tried catching his breath.
"What?" you responded, staring back at him and licking your lips without realizing. "I'm sorry about what topper said. He's an asshole." He says, scratching the back of his head nervously, his eyes looking down at your lips.
"Rafe Cameron, are you here apologizing for your friend? Who would've thought?" You say to him as he shook his head, smiling.
"Shut up, y/n," he says playfully, clearing his throat before speaking again." Look, I just wanted to tell you he was wrong about what he said. You are definitely worth trying for."
"So, you guys think I'm a reward or something?" You scoffed playfully, shaking your head as you teased him.
"God, no no no I- I would never think of it like that–don't twist my words," He responds, his face turning red.
"I'm teasing you, Cameron. I just want to finish my shift and go home. I also have other people to attend to, you know?" You say, mumbling the last few words quickly, getting nervous under his gaze.
"I know, I know. Just let me take you out on a date one of these days. You won't regret it, I swear it," He said, sounding desperate, which made you smile slightly.
"If I say yes, will you stop asking?" You say, putting your hands back on the wheel.
"Probably, it's worth a shot, don't you think?" He replies, giving you a small smile. "I guess it is. I'm free tomorrow afternoon if you are interested," you say, waiting for his response.
"I'm available, let me...pick you up?" He intones the last few words, not sure if you were going to agree. "Sure, you know where I live. " You wink at him, waving bye to him as you drove away.
He had the biggest smile on his face, walking back to the guys and high-fiving Kelce, receiving a glare back from Topper.
"You're gonna be disappointed man, that's all I'm gonna say," Top says to him, bending forward slightly, in position to hit the small golf ball. "Doesn't mean I'm not gonna try," Rafe replies, earning a scoff from Topper, which he ignored.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Thinking back to those times made you smile, you never thought you would end up dating Rafe and loving him the way you did.
You were a Kook, but it didn't mean you had access to your parent's money. You wanted to work for it yourself and that's how you met the pogues.
You were friends with all of them, except JJ. You never got the chance to meet him, but his friends always spoke highly of him.
While laying down, you received a message from Kie, you didn't need to hear her to know she was mad.
Pope showed up to John B's all beat up.
There was no doubt in your mind as to who had done it.
Without hesitating, you got up from your bed, freshened up in the bathroom before making your way downstairs. Closing your house door, you walked over to your car and drove away to the cut.
As you drove, all you could think about is how you were going to apologize for Rafe's actions, this wasn't the first time you had to do this.
It hurt to do it this time, he had promised you he was going to do better.
Once you got there, you got out of your car and ran to John B’s place, where you saw your friends outside, talking to each other. Once you came into view, they all turned to face you, smiling.
You sat next to Sarah, her arms wrapping around your shoulders, pulling you into a warm hug
"Hi darling, how are you feeling?" Sarah says, squeezing you softly before pulling away
"I've been better," You say, squeezing her back just as softly as you looked around the group, spotting Pope, a big smile on his face.
You frown once you see his eyebrow has a small bandaid, a cut on his lip, while bruises were slowly forming on the right side of his cheek. “Hi y/n, what brings you by?” He says, smiling over at you.
“I came to apologize on behalf of Rafe, I'm so so sorry Pope," You say, giving him a sympathetic look as he shook his head, opening his mouth to speak but he gets interrupted,
“You’re damn right he shouldn’t have, that asshole is fucking lucky I wasn’t there” Jj responds for him, clenching his jaw. “That kook needs to be taught a lesson once again, I don’t care If I die trying,"
He sits up as he pulls out his gun from the inside of his pants, earning gasps from the group
"Jj, what the actual fuck?" you hear Kie as she walks over to him, "You are not pulling another one of your stupid ideas on him again."
"Why not?" He replies simply, eyeing the gun before his eyes meet yours
You gulped as you looked back at him, nervously clearing your throat before speaking
"I-I didn't think he was going to break our promise, he wants to change jj,"
“You really believe he is going to change? Really? Rafe fucking Cameron Y/N,“ he throws his head back as he laughs, shaking his head before turning to John B, who pushed him slightly.
“This wasn’t your fault y/n, is what jj is trying to say here,” John B says, giving you a sympathetic smile.
You frown, shaking your head.
Rafe was really trying to be better, but you have given him way too many chances that you’ve lost count.
With Kie somehow calming Jj down, he put his gun away and pulled out a blunt, lighting it up as he took a hit before passing it to Sarah.
She hesitated before taking a long hit, coughing afterward, making you guys laugh as she glared before speaking.
"It's my second-time guys, give me a break!"
"You'll get the hang of it, princess," John B says to her, giving you a slight smile while handing it over to you.
You continued talking with them for a few hours, apologizing so many times that even Jj, who warmed up to you, made a joke about taping your mouth to shut you up.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You ignored Rafe’s calls and messages all day. It didn't surprise you to see him standing in front of your house door, with a frown on his face.
“Why did you ignore me today?” He said, looking down at you.
You rolled your eyes and let him inside your house, thankfully, your parents were out of town for the weekend.
“Why did you fight Pope today?” You say, turning to look at him as his eyes widened. “Who the hell told you?” He responds, following you into the kitchen as you walked away.
“You don’t think I can find things out on my own Rafe?”
“Look, I'm sorry, I don’t know what came over me babe I swear,” he says quickly, wiping his nose before you saw the small white residue.
But you already knew he was high, you could smell him, his eyes were red and his words were all over the place, you could barely understand him.
“I just don’t get why you would do that, you promised” you looked at him, watching as he tried to come up with an excuse
“I don’t fucking know, he was walking around the club today and I warned him last time to not show up there,” he said, biting his lip nervously while he waited for your response
“ You don’t fucking own the country club, Rafe. That’s not a good excuse,” you respond, grabbing a water bottle from the fridge, avoiding his gaze
Every time he would do something like this, his words and soft eyes convinced you to stay, but you weren’t sure if you could do that this time. You needed to think if this was all worth it.
“I-i don’t know what you want me to say y/n, he deserved it.”
“He’s my fucking friend Rafe, I had to go and apologize for you! You have to stop this,” you say, having the courage to look up at him as he clenched his jaw, nostrils flaring
“Why the fuck would you go and do that? Huh?" he says, grabbing your shoulders and gripping them roughly, pressing you back against the counter, blocking you from going anywhere.
You winced slightly, turning your head to the side, but he turned it back to face him, gripping your chin to look up at him," Rafe, stop it you’re scaring me,” you say, tears forming in your eyes as you stared back at his.
“I don’t care y/n, never fucking do that shit again, you hear?” He says, pushing you away from him while he paced back-and-forth thinking of what to do.
You tumble back slightly, wiping your tears away quickly as they fell, building the courage to speak, “I don’t think I can do this anymore,” you say, your voice coming out clearer than you thought
“What did you just say?” He turns to look at you, shaking his head as he laughed,” you can’t seriously be thinking about breaking up with me over this silly little thing, right?” He says slowly towards the end, walking closer to you as you watched him.
“That’s exactly what I'm thinking, you’re not the Rafe I fell in love with,” you say, bawling your hand into a fist just in case as he got closer. "You're an addict, you need fucking help and I don't have the energy to continue like this."
your words stung him, you hit a weak spot within him, "You're fucking pathetic, you're choosing your friends over me?"
"I am, you've shown to me you don't want to get better, it hurts me to say this, Rafe," You whisper the last few words, tears falling from your eyes as you look at him
"You can't bring me down with you again, it is exhausting,"
"I guess Topper was right you know? you're not worth trying for." He says, his words hitting you with pure hatred.
"You dont mean that.."
"That's where you're wrong, y/n, I mean every fucking word I say."
Without looking at you, he walks past you, grabbing his car keys from the counter before turning to look back at you, fingers holding onto the doorknob
He opened his mouth to speak but stopped himself as his jaw clenched once more, shaking his head as he chuckled and walked out.
You watched as he left, the door closing loudly behind him before you broke down into sobs, leaning on the kitchen counter as you tried catching your breath
His words hurt, you wanted nothing more than to crawl inside a hole and hide away from the world.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
It's been over 3 weeks since you and Rafe called it quits, Sarah and Kie have been there for you from the start, taking you out on girl dates and having brunch at least twice a week.
You were feeling a lot better, the first few days were rough, you were so used to texting/calling Rafe every day, now you are just strangers to each other.
'It's for the best' is what you told yourself, but deep down you still loved Rafe like no tomorrow.
He still goes to the country club to play, but he makes sure to avoid you whenever you drive past the friend group to make them drinks
Topper had a wide, sarcastic smile on his face the first time he saw you after the break-up, you've been avoiding the group of friends like the plague for the last few weeks.
"Oh hey y/n! how are you and Rafe doing?" he says, pulling out his wallet, eyes on you as you add ice to three cups, ignoring him
Oh how badly you wanted to spit inside his cup, but you pushed that thought away and shook your head, smiling at the idea as you turned to him, giving him his drink
"Why don't you ask him?" you reply, turning back to make the other two drinks, looking over at Kelce who was waiting patiently for them, he gave you a warm smile as you handed the drinks to him
"He already moved on, did you know that?" Topper says, sipping on his drink, waiting for your reaction
You stayed in place as you turn to look at Rafe, who was looking at you but turned his face away as soon as you caught him.
"Really? Good for him," you whisper, feeling the familiar lump in your throat as you bit your lips nervously, sliding back into your cart and driving off, the feeling of tears threatening to fall from your eyes once again.
you didn't know if it was a lie or not, but you didn't want to give him the satisfaction of knowing that his words got to you so easily
You took your break an hour early, parking your cart before going inside the club, straight towards the bathroom. You looked at yourself in the mirror, puffy eyes, plump red lips staring back at you from all your crying.
You splashed water onto your face, crying quietly as you did so.
Fucking Topper, you were doing just fine.
You dried your face with a paper towel, fixing yourself in the mirror before walking out of the bathroom with a shaky breath, looking down at your phone as you walked to the back to grab yourself something to eat.
You accidentally bumped into someone, quickly apologizing before you caught the scent, that damn perfume that you loved so much
You looked up and that's when you saw who it was, you quickly took a step back and turned around, walking away as fast as you could
He followed right behind you just as quick, grabbing your arm before you could go inside the back room.
"Can we please talk?" Rafe says softly, looking down at you as you pulled your arm away from him, crossing your arms.
"Leave me alone, Rafe." You reply, looking around nervously as you uncomfortably tapped your foot on the ground
He analyzed your face, frowning slightly as he saw the dark circles under your eyes, your lips all red and plump from biting them so much, god.. your lips that he loved to kiss so much and caress. He hated himself for the way he left things, he so badly wanted you back, but he knew it would take more than just one apology to get you to even look his way.
He sighed, scratching the back of his head nervously as he nodded, turning and walking away
You let out the breath you've been holding, walking inside the room, closing the door behind you. You close your eyes and lean back against the door, taking a few deep breaths as you try to calm yourself back down.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in," Jj says cheekily, grabbing something from his backpack before looking over at you.
You jump in surprise, opening your eyes quickly as you spot him on the corner table, wiping your sweaty hands on your pants before walking over to him, laughing at his words slightly.
He started working at the country club not too long ago, but he always made your day better by making jokes here and there.
"very funny J," you say, sitting next to him as he pulls out a small flask, filled with his own concoction that he calls whiskey.
"Want some? I feel like you need it more than me, you look like absolute hell,"
You playfully smack his arm as you grab it from his hand, raising your eyebrow at him, "What did you put in here?" you ask, smelling it before making a face of disgust.
"Dont worry about it, just drink." He responds, rolling his eyes as he watches you take a huge gulp, his eyes widening as you do so
"Why did you drink so fucking much?" He says, grabbing it back from you before taking a small sip, shaking his head
You lean back against the wall, crossing your legs as you shrug, "I don't really know,"
He watches as you play with your fingers as silence consumes the room for a few seconds, avoiding his gaze before you speak again, "Stop staring at me, it's creepy."
He opens his mouth to speak but stops, poking your side annoyingly till you smack his hand and look at him in annoyance.
"Wanna go to a party tonight at the cut? There's gonna be hella guys for you to drown your sorrows in," He asks, giving you a small smile
"I don't think I should,"
"Why not? don't be boring," He says, standing up from his seat, putting away his bag inside his locker, "Think about it, it'll be fun, everyone is gonna be there."
He ruffles your hair, earning a glare from you as he walks out of the room, going back to work, you assume.
You sigh, putting your face between your hands as you think about the party.
You think about what to wear tonight, giving you a small boost of confidence as you lock down the perfect dress in your mind.
You run your hands through your hair to fix it back down, standing up from the table, looking down at your phone, seeing a text come through from the girls, asking you to come to the party.
Great timing, it seemed planned
Maybe a party is what you need to get your mind off of Rafe. In the 3 weeks that you've been single, he's been making moves on other girls.
Why can't you do the same? If it's that easy.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"I don't know, I think this dress is too tight, don't you think?" You say, turning to face Sarah as she fixes her hair in front of your mirror
She looks at you from the mirror reflection, turning around and walking over to you," I think you look smoking hot,"
"I know if I were a guy, id be crying if I couldn't get your attention," Kie says, earning a laugh from you and Sarah
"I think I'm overdressed, it's not like I have to impress anybody..." you say, running your hands down your body, staring yourself in the mirror.
You wore a tight long sleeve black dress. [ feel free to imagine any other dress, the story is all yours ;) ]
You had bought it a few weeks back for a date you had with Rafe, but he had to cancel on you because Ward needed him for a favor.
"We are all overdressed, but we look fucking hot so, who cares?" Sarah says, grabbing her phone and pulling you and Kie for a picture in front of the mirror.
You look over at her phone, staring at the way your body looked on the picture, a satisfied look on your face.
The three of you looked fucking good. This is exactly what you needed.
"Just so you know, I will post this pic and I don't care what you girls say," Sarah says, posting the picture right away with a wide grin.
You grabbed your phone and purse, running your fingers through your hair one last time before leaving your room, following the girls to the car, and getting in.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
On the way to the party, your thoughts get the best of you as you get nervous. What if Rafe is there with someone?
Kie looked back as Sarah drove, noticing the frown forming on your face as you were deep in thought
"No thinking about Rafe today, y/n," She says, continuing as you look at her and smile weakly," Today is all about us having fun, getting drunk, and forgetting about anything on our minds."
"damn right," Sarah says, parking the car behind a few others.
You all walk towards the beach, the wind blowing in your direction as you shiver slightly, feeling Sarah wrap her arm around your shoulder
"He's not coming, he's out of town with my dad," She says, walking towards John B once you guys spot them.
You nod your head, feeling better as you looked around, feeling way too overdressed for the occasion
"Y/N! YOU CAME!" You hear jj as he runs over to you, picking you up and spinning you around, clasping you as you squeal in surprise, "Put me DOWN, JJ!" You scream, gaining the attention of a few people
He puts you down, squishing your cheeks in his hands as he looks at you, smiling widely, "I knew they were going to convince you,"
"I came here cause I wanted to," you say sarcastically, your words mumbled as he kept his hands on your cheeks
Kie grabbed him off of you, making him stumble back a bit as he kept a smile on his face, wrapping his arms around her
"God, you're already drunk??" she says, holding on to him as he hums, laying his head on her shoulder
You adored your friends, they've been nothing but supportive through this breakup and you couldn't be more thankful.
"I'm gonna grab a drink," you say, walking past them and towards the keg that was on top of the table.
You grabbed a cup, pouring the liquid onto it and chugging it quickly, shaking your head, scrunching your nose in disgust
How could people drink this shit? pure battery acid, you thought to yourself as you poured yourself another cup, taking it with you as you walked back to the group, it was cheap liquor but it did the job.
"It's because my pants were too tight, so I borrowed one from Pope and he got mad at me for like, no reason," Jj says, arguing back with Pope as he crossed his arms, " I didn't even get to wear them, they still had the tag," He argues back, earning a laugh from everyone, including yourself
"a tragedy indeed," you say, smiling over at Pope as he shakes his head, smiling back at you
"y/n, you're backkk," Jj says, launching himself over to you as you catch him, wrapping your arms around your waist
This was not your first time witnessing a drunk JJ. He felt stress free, and it made you all happy to see him that way.
While holding him, you looked over to the keg table, eyes widening as you see the kook prince himself
"What the hell?" You hear Sarah say, walking over to you once she noticed your face as you watched him, "He wasn't supposed to be back until tomorrow."
As if searching for you, his eyes catch yours while drinking from a cup, making you look away and down to your drunk friend, who was still clinging to your waist, head now laying on your chest comfortably.
Drinking the rest of your cup, you throw it into the trash next to you, moving your eyes away from his as you face your friends, "It's fine guys," You say, smiling slightly
"We can leave, we don't have to stay," Sarah says, looking at you as you shook your head, "He is not ruining this night for us," You respond, grabbing Jj's hand and Sarah's as you walked closer towards the music.
You couldn't let Rafe ruin a night you've been looking forward to since this morning, hell, you deserve this after hurting the past few weeks.
With the music getting louder and the alcohol hitting your system, you pull away from jj and turn to face him as you all danced, laughing as he tried to keep himself balanced
"God, I suck at this," he says, holding on to you and pulling you closer to him as you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, keeping him steady, " You have to learn to not get drunk before the party even starts, J," You say, dancing along with him slightly
"Dont gotta tell me that again, I've learned my lesson," He responds, looking back at you, fixing a strand of your hair and brushing It away from your face softly, "You look really pretty tonight, y/n,"
You blush at his comment, looking down to hide it before facing him, "Well thank you, you don't look so bad yourself,"
He opened his mouth to respond, but not before he got pulled back roughly away from your arms, "Yo! man, what the actual fuck?" You hear John B, catching jj just in time before he fell.
You quickly looked at who it was, noticing the way his eyes stared back at you intensely,
"Rafe, what the hell?" You say, helping John B with jj, shaking your head over at him, "I should be saying that shit to you, y/n," Rafe responds, walking over to you as he spoke, "What, are you fucking Pogues now?"
"Better back the fuck up, Kook," Pope says, getting in front of you as he got closer to you, making him chuckle.
A circle of people surrounded you all now, not surprised to see them pulling out their phones to record
"Not your fucking business," you say to Rafe before continuing, "I am done giving a fuck, Rafe," your friends watching you just in case, you turned around shook your head at them, not wanting to start anything
"It is my fucking business," he says, pulling you back towards him, making you face him once again, "Let me go, Rafe," You say, holding onto his hand as you tried pushing it away, "No, you're coming back with me."
He pulled you along with him through the crowd, hearing your friends behind you as he walked straight towards his car
"Let her fucking go!" Jj says, quickly catching up to Rafe and pushing him down towards the floor, not wasting any time as he punched Rafe, earning a gasp from you as you tried pulling him back,
"JJ! STOP!!" you hear your friends behind you, Pope wrapping his arms around jj's waist to pull him back,
Rafe fought back, punching jj as soon as he got pulled back, earning him a kick in the stomach, turning to face you as he groaned in pain
You bent down, grabbing his hands as you tried helping him up, his arms wrapping themselves around your waist for support, "Fucking lucky my friends are here, I would've killed your Kook ass," Jj says, spitting onto the floor as he stared back at Rafe, who looked way worse than him.
Hell of a way to sober up
"Mind your business, Pogue," Rafe says, you pinched his arm as he yelped, looking down at you with a bloody nose, "What? I'm fucking right,"
"y/n?" you hear Kie as she looks over at you, waiting for your response
Now you were stuck between who to choose, you so badly wanted to help jj and smack him for doing what he did, but at the same time, you wanted to thank him for doing what you've been wanting to do. But Rafe looked worse, and you'd feel bad letting him drive away with a black eye.
"I–let me just help him get back home, yeah?" You respond, looking at them as Sarah steps forward, "you want me to come along?"
"No no, it's fine, please help jj for me," you say, giving her a slight smile as she nods, turning back to your friends as they walk towards John B's car
"Why would you do that, Rafe?" you ask as you walk over to his truck, walking slowly as he limped slightly, handing you his keys, unlocking the passenger side before getting in.
"You let that Pogue touch you all over, you're mine y/n,"
"His name is Jj, since when am I yours, huh?" You ask, leaning over to buckle his seatbelt, standing back and closing the door, walking over to the passenger side, and getting in.
"You've always been mine, we just had a small fight, that's all," Rafe says, biting his nails nervously as he looks at you.
"You call that a small fight?" You ask, laughing slightly, turning to face him, turning on the car, and sliding on your seatbelt.
"Look, I'm sorry for what I did back there, alright? I'm sorry for arguing with you and holding you like that, I didn't mean to," he says, shifting uncomfortably on his seat as you drove him home.
You sat in silence as you drove, stopping at a red light before facing him, "I'm sorry for saying all that shit, Rafe. God, I sounded like a bitch,"
"I deserved that. I'm trying to stay clean y/n, I swear I–the last time I did it was that day," he says, leaning back against his seat, fumbling with his hands nervously.
You parked in front of his house, sighing, looking down at your hands while trying to understand him, "I still love you, so so much, but you hurt me," you say, looking up at him as he bit his lip, "I know, I'm sorry baby please, I love you–just give me one more chance, just one more," he says quickly, grabbing your hands in his softly,
"I don't know, Rafe, I want to try but I just don-"
"Then let's try once more, I swear I'll do better," He sniffles, wiping his eyes quickly, making you frown as you turn to him fully, holding his cheeks in your hands softly, wiping his tears as they continue to fall, "You promise?" you ask, leaning your forehead against his as he nods, pulling you closer to him, "I promise you, I'll try to get along with the pogu- your friends, too," he corrects himself quickly, leaning into your touch
You smile, wrapping your arms around him as he does the same, pulling you to his lap, gently sitting you on him, rubbing your sides as he leans back once more, a radiant smile on his face,
"You look hot with blood on your face," you say, running your hand through his hair softly, "Yeah? maybe I should get your friends mad more often," he says playfully, earning a soft smack to his shoulder from you, "none of that," you say, earning a grin from him as he pulls you closer, rubbing his thumb against your lip gently,
"Can I?" he asks, leaning closer to your face as you nod, pressing your lips against his slowly, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, feeling him slide his hands down to your ass cheekily, keeping them there as you both move your lips in sync, pulling back after a few seconds to catch your breath
"I missed you, I'm sorry for hurting you the way I did. There was never a day where I didn't kick myself for doing what I did, " He says softly, rubbing your back, keeping you close to him,
"I forgive you, but from now on we have to be better for each other, we gotta." You respond, laying your head on his shoulder, feeling him nod, his lips pressing a kiss to your head.
"I know, princess,"
You both sit in silence for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company before you remember, "Rafe?" you ask, earning a hum from him, "yeah, babe?"
"I forgot to clean up your wounds, cmon," You say, opening the passenger door, but he closes it, wrapping his arms back around you quickly, "Just stay with me, please? you're my medicine, how about that?" he says, looking over at you while smiling,
you just smile and shake your head, pressing a long kiss to his lips, "You're an idiot, "
"Only for you."

PLUS ONE
》 A TRESE TWOSHOT 《
[Maliksi x Reader]
Tumblr media
📝 Summary: In which your beloved best friend snatches you from your apartment at dawn asking you to be his plus one for his cousin's wedding. Unbeknownst to the clueless you, everything is just going according to Maliksi's ultimate masterplan. With the help of friends and family, the Prince of the Tikbalang finally gets the girl he's been longing for. And oh, Señor Armanaz gets his dream daughter-in-law and the promise of grandchildren within the year.
📌 Warning: May contain some slight NSFW for spicy suggestiveness and cussing. No smut or anything super SPG—this girl can't write that for her life—but just be prepared. It's Maliksi we're talking about. We've got friends-to-lovers, obliviousness, pining, fluff, and a tikbalang simp. Figure it out. 😃

》 AUTHOR'S NOTE 《
Not an Inday spinoff, but a lengthy oneshot in celebration of this blog getting 90 followers. Just ten more to 100, yay! Thank you so much for the love and support, everyone. I also promised that I'll be making this brainrot that @binibiningbabaylan and I have fangirled over a few days ago (find the original post here) when I finished the latest chapter of Inday. Here it is! 🥰
Before I forget, I was also inspired by the cute fic made by @crispybasil titled "Sunshowers" and the "Trese Boys As Things My Guy Friends Do" made by the amazing @smolla-than-a-bug (I bow down to your wonderful works in the Trese fandom). I definitely see Maliksi to be the type to go on spontaneous roadtrips and be the boyfriend to drive you around eveeeerywhere (while also driving you crazy). 🚘
There are also some songs mentioned throughout this work. You should probably listen to them while reading for the full experience. Ending was somewhat rushed but eh, I'm too exhausted and I've rewritten it too many times. Also, if someone makes some actual tikbalang smut, tag me please. Anyways, enjoy! 💕
Tumblr media
The way it all started was hilarious. Absolutely fucking hilarious. It happened like a blur. Literally. One second, you were snoozing in your bed. The next? You had a seatbelt on in the shotgun seat of a sophisticated-looking car. Your brain didn't even get to process it yet.
"... So let me get this straight," you grumbled, still half-asleep from your sleep marathon. You just finished a hugely successful project at work yesterday, got promoted, and wanted to make up for the restless nights you spent overtime in the office. Of course you were irritated from being disturbed. You were on vacation leave for two entire weeks, originally planning to go into temporary isolation by deactivating your social media accounts and reserving a beach cabana for yourself in Batangas.
Well, turns out, you weren't going to Batangas anytime soon. All because your unreasonably spontaneous bestfriend of ten hectic years stole you from your apartment at 2AM. Was this considered kidnapping? Was this him just being more in touch with his tikbalang side, taking unsuspecting women in their sleep and leading them to their inevitable death? (He was going over the speed limit, so it was a valid thought.) Will wearing your shirt inside-out save you today? Lord, masyado ka pang pagod para mag-isip ngayon.
"Go on."
"You abducted picked me up in the middle of the night because you want me to be your plus one at your cousin's wedding in Tagaytay?"
"Yup. And technically, the venue is right on the outskirts of Cavite going to Tagaytay," he corrected you as a matter-of-factly.
"Same thing, whatever," you huffed tiredly. "Your cousin's wedding is at 6AM today. In a few hours. In four hours."
"Uh-huh."
You groaned exasperatedly, "Mal naman, eh! You didn't even let me bring anything. Could've at least given me a heads-up a few hours ago. I'm practically emptyhanded right now save for my phone! Sinungaling ka, you said this was just a normal midnight drive—not a freaking wedding!"
The Prinsipe ng Mga Tikbalang, son of the Great Stallion, heir to the Armanaz herd, and the Top Drag Racer of C-5 Expressway—if that was even one of his Game of Thrones-like titles—grinned as he continued driving beside you. He let you continue ranting in the passenger seat while he mulled over his ultimate masterplan that would change his entire life later on. He was a spur-of-the-moment kind of guy, so all this wasn't his thing. But for you? He'll make plans, alright.
"Wala man lang akong dinalang masusuot o kahit konting makeup para maging presentable sa harapan ng buong pamilya mo," you exclaimed, in absolute despair. "Do you know how out of my league you are? Your rich-ass family might judge me—hell, your dad might see me as a hampaslupa if I show up there in my pambahay and tsinelas!"
"Psh, I'm not out of your league," Maliksi waved it off, smoothly turning a corner. "And calm down. We've known each other for a decade! My dad practically loves you as his own daughter. Heck, the entire family knows you and keeps telling me they want you adopted in already. Lolo Andres and Lola Perlita said they'd have the paperwork settled. You just need to sign them."
It would be even better (and easier) if you married into the family. To him, specifically (as if he'd let anyone else have you). God, he was already being so obvious in his advances, but you were just so damn oblivious whenever it came to romance. None of this needed to happen if you just got it through your thick skull that he was madly in love with you.
"That's not the point, idiot!" you slumped back into your seat, hopeless. "Do you think the bride and the groom will get offended? Shit, baka masumpaan ako kung magagalit sila, Mal. Mukha akong patay galing sa South Cemetery."
The long-haired tikbalang rolled his eyes, "Huwag kang mag-alala. Nothing's going to go wrong. Chill ka lang diyan. I've got everything under control, babe."
Babe. Yes, he even called you babe but you thought it was him being a himbo and a massive flirt. Now, it was his common term of endearment for you, but you still assumed it was him just being irksome to you and that you couldn't stop the man from saying it anymore. Thus, you let it be (the most obvious hint of his attraction to you, bestie).
"... Ugh, why didn't you ask Hannah or Amie to go with you?"
He just smiled knowingly, shrugging and making up an excuse, "Nagmamadali ako, eh. Hannah and Amie are also coming, but they already have the other tikbalang as dates."
"'Luh, ako pala ang backup choice mo?"
"Heh. Whatever you want to think."
Little did you know that you were always his first choice. Always. Even when he pursued Alexandra Trese many years ago, trying to convince himself you were just his best friend, it was always you. How did he come to that realization? Well, an international band he was a fan of released a song a couple years ago and he heard it being played in a club in BGC. The song title?
It Was Always You by Maroon 5.
Needless to say, after hearing the song and being unable to get it—get you—out of his mind at night, he stopped courting Alexandra. Unfortunately for him, that time, you'd started dating other men. Therefore, he was left on the sidelines... until your latest and most painful breakup, at least. That was five years ago. You still hadn't dated anyone since then, kind of traumatized from getting into another failed relationship like that.
In the present day, as if the fates were playing on you two, one of your favorite artists played on the radio. A very ironic song given the situation you two were in.
Best Friend by Rex Orange County.
Maliksi knew it was a favorite of yours. He knew it by the way your eyes lit up like a star brightening the twinkling night sky. Like the sun first rising in the morning at Apolaki's command. Like the moon extending its gentle rays from the magic of Mayari herself. If there was anything he wanted to ask of the old gods, it was you—everything else be damned.
"I wanna be the one that makes your day, the one you think about as you lie awake," you half-sang and half-screamed happily, somewhat out-of-tune. "I can't wait to be your number oooooone! I'll be your biggest fan and you'll be mine—"
Maliksi glanced at you, not minding that his eardrums were probably getting microscopic ruptures from your aggressive singing. As much as he wanted to stare at you all day, he had to keep his eyes on the road. But the lyrics you were singing were wrong; the Prince of the Tikbalang was already yours from day one.
"Babe, McDo drive-through tayo for breakfast. Let me make it up to you. Gusto mo ng caramel sundae for your promotion gift? Sige. Ako bahala. Chicken nuggets din? Mabubusog ka ba niyan? I don't think they serve those this early..."
》》》
"Sandali lang!" you shouted out from inside an empty room. You'd just arrived at the venue—the Alta Veranda de Tibig in Silang, Cavite (practically the gateway to Tagaytay)—an hour or so ago. The hired makeup artist just left so that you could privately change into the outfit that had been bought specifically for you. Curse Mal and his ability to buy anything (perhaps anyone) he wanted. "Bwiset, Mal, you didn't tell me we'd be part of the damn entourage. We have to be walking the aisle in thirty minutes, simbako! You just love rushing me, don't you!?"
If only you were the one walking down the aisle today towards him.
When you exited the room, Maliksi couldn't help but let his jaw drop as he skimmed your figure, clad in the luxurious, silky satin blush midi dress he bought in one of those fancy stores in Makati yesterday. He imagined that it would look great on you, but now, seeing it on you in person... you looked divine (and frankly, he wanted to see it off your body to see what was underneath—but don't get too ahead of yourself, Mal). It was a whole 'nother level from his imagination. The deep cowl neckline and thin spaghetti straps showed your lovely collarbones... as well as a peek of your cleavage. His favorite and the best part of it all? It was backless, allowing him to gaze at the tempting curve of your spine.
He hadn't realized he had grown silent until you smiled and closed his mouth, tapping his chin.
"Lalangawin ang bibig mo, Mal," you laughed softly. Never had you seen him so speechless. You then flicked your hair back, ridiculously posing for him like you were on the cover of Vogue magazine (haba ng hair mo, gurl!). "Do I look that good? Char lang."
"... You look absolutely ravishing—I mean, uh, stunning. Hot. Yeah." That was all he could say. He mentally punched himself for not showering you with more suave compliments.
Still, your face brightened up, not knowing that the man in front of you just fell for you a thousand times harder, "Wow! Really? Damn. Ang galing talaga ng MUA na kinuha mo, ginawa akong artista. Give me their contact number later! May work event pa naman ako in two months. I'm shocked, it's like they made me rise from the dead! Even my eyebags are gone, Mal! How'd they do that?" Heck yeah, your confidence was boosted. He offered his arm to you like a gentleman, making you half-heartedly roll your eyes (you took it anyway). From holding it alone, you could tell that your best friend was a sinewy man (well, you knew that already after seeing his tikbalang form before—the little shit didn't even wear a loincloth like all his clanmates; your poor eyes were eternally scarred).
You looked him up and down. You wouldn't lie—Maliksi is and always has been an attractive man. Now? With his hair in a ponytail (pun not intended), definitely one of the hunkiest men you've ever known. "You're not looking too bad yourself, horsey."
"Ako pa!" He puffed his chest out in pride. You chuckled at his reaction.
"By the way, how do you even know my dress size and my shoe size?"
"Babe, I've known you too long. You know almost everything about me, I know everything about you."
You snorted at his confident tone, "'Di nga? You don't know every single thing about me, Mal. Assuming ka masyado."
"Alam ko nga anong cup size mo. Wala lang 'yang shoe and dress size."
You slapped his shoulder, cheeks quickly flushing red, "Huy, umayos ka! Walang hiyang tikbalang na 'to." With this guy as your best friend? You heard dirty jokes at least once a day. "Don't be inappropriate here!"
"What? It's only fair I know!" He looked down on you suggestively, wiggling his eyebrows. "You already know I always go commando, so of course I know that your bra is a size—"
"Shhh! Baka marinig ka, 'nyeta."
"So? Let them hear. My best friend has a nice set of melons!" he shouted. You were grateful there was no one around. Hopefully.
"Oh my God..."
Your best friend chortled at how flustered you'd become. He led you to where some of his family was waiting, with a couple of his relatives already greeting you. You instantly and quite easily mingled with them, your worries of them not accepting you far from even true (they all knew how much their prince loved the innocent you).
"Kayo na talaga, pare?" one of his older tikbalang clanmates asked while you went away to be fawned over by his aunts.
Maliksi chuckled, crossing his arms as he watched you from afar, "Heh. Hindi pa."
Another one of his clanmates—a younger one—laughed, wrapping an arm around his shoulder, "Talaga? That's cap, bro. You two are like a married couple already and you guys still aren't a thing?"
"Ilang taon na ba kayong magkakaibigan?" the older one asked him.
"Almost ten years," Maliksi responded, a smile unconsciously pulling his lips up as he remembered your moments together. He watched you converse with his female relatives (who adored you the moment Maliksi brought you to a family event many moons ago).
The two tikbalang snickered as they saw the look on the Great Stallion's heir.
"You're down bad," the younger one said, snapping a photo of his lovestruck kuya. "You've got it so bad for her, dudeparechong!"
"Balak mong ligawan anytime soon?" the older tikbalang inquired.
"Heh. Balak ko na ngang pakasalan. Kung pwede, ngayon."
They looked at Maliksi as if he was crazy. He was very much serious, though, even if there was a huge, lopsided smile on his face. The Prince of the Tikbalang raised a brow at them.
"What? Don't give me that look. Our ten years of being best friends is practically the courting and the dating stage already."
"Eh... you're right. Don't waste anymore time. Go and marry her today, dude. Suporta kami sa'yo, basta groomsmen kami sa kasal niyo, ha!"
"Ge. Without question."
Meanwhile, on your end with the ladies of the family, they started pestering you on your love life (like all typical Filipino aunties). Chismis everywhere.
"O, iha, single ka pa ba?"
"Kailan ka magpapakasal? Malapit ka nang pumasok sa thirties mo."
"Do you want kids? How many?"
"Are you and Maliksi a couple? You look good together! Kayo na, 'di ba?"
"Will you be getting married next? Are you engaged? When's the wedding? Invite niyo kami!"
Before you could get overwhelmed by their questions, Maliksi swept you off your feet to lead you to the entourage that was lining up outside the chapel area. Again, it happened like a blur. He laughed at the partially nauseated look on your face.
"You okay there?" he asked, grinning.
"Your family thinks we're together," you muttered quietly, not meeting his eyes. You weren't sure why you felt... tingly about their statements.
He tilted his head at you curiously, gently setting you down on your feet and helping you stand.
"Do you hate the idea?" It hurt him to ask you the question, but he wanted your thoughts on it. Perhaps doing this was a bad idea. Maliksi was competitive in many things, including wanting you to be his, but if you were so opposed to it, he would never force you into something you didn't want. He let go of your hand; you didn't even notice he'd been holding it until he let go. "Am I making you uncomfortable?"
Your wide-eyed gaze snapped back to look up at him, "No! No, it's not that! And... it's not bad." Your hand felt strangely empty now that his was gone. Biting your lip, you disclosed, "You're not making me uncomfortable, Mal. Don't ever think that."
With that, you shyly interlocked your arm with his, tearing your eyes from his to mask the growing warmth you felt spreading in your veins. You two didn't say anything else when the ushers let you walk down the beautiful, petal-covered aisle together.
The man beside you was starstruck. Hopeful. Maybe both of you did have a chance. Maybe somewhere in the depths of your soul, his feelings for you were being reciprocated. For the rest of the sacred ceremony in the gorgeous main pavilion, both of you relished in short, comfortable, and low conversations. He even cracked jokes every once in a while—really funny ones that made it challenging for you to you stifle your laughter.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride."
Maliksi fervently prayed to Bathala that he'd experience the same opportunity he was seeing with you someday. One day.
Even while the sun was brightly out, the sky began showering down light rain onto the land. You were in awe as you looked out the window.
"Hala, totoo nga pala! Tignan mo!" you laughed, tugging Maliksi's suit sleeve, pointing at the window.
"Na ano?" he curiously inquired, not understanding what you were referring to.
"Na kapag may tikbalang na kinakasal, umuulan habang may araw pa," you replied, eyes filled with childlike mirth and wonder. A rainbow had even begun to form by the clouds. "Look, it's magical! Ang ganda pala ng view dito kasama ang old Spanish architecture. Timeless na timeless. It's so pretty, 'no? Picture tayo 'maya, Mal."
Unlike you, it wasn't the sky outside that the prince was looking at. Amidst the loud cheers for the newlywed couple and the bubbles the guests were blowing, his vision could only focus on how magnificent you looked while being amazed. You were his best view. (Ed from 90-Day Fiancé, kabahan ka na, may katapat ka sa pickup line mo.)
》》》
"Smile for the picture!"
You giggled as Maliksi was dragged into a photo-op with the bridesmaids and the important older wedding sponsors a few feet away (funnily, he looked a little constipated around them). All of a sudden, when he was heading back to your direction, you were roughly pushed into the said man's arms. When you turned around, there was nothing (except maybe a gust of wind that came out of nowhere).
"Ooh, gotcha. Careful," the tikbalang steadied you, strong hands holding your biceps. "Natapilok ka?"
"... Huh, hindi naman," you wondered suspiciously, looking around. "I think someone pushed me? Parang tinulak ako... but wala namang tao."
"Weird. Maybe it was just the wind."
It actually was. Really. Maliksi knew for a fact that it was those two taong hangin who were spying on you from the corner, trying to pair you up. He gave them a thumbs-up while your back was turned in the opposite direction. Hannah and Amie returned the thumbs-up before vanishing. Suddenly, the two wedding photographers had moved on from the bridesmaids and were right beside you.
"What a lovely couple you two are!" she praised. Before you could correct her, she held up the black contraption she held towards you two. "Pose for the camera, lovelies!"
And so you did, the photographer guiding you two on what to do. Maliksi wrapped his arm around your waist and you leaned on his side, looking sidewards to the camera with one leg cocked in front of the other. Her assistant, who was holding a polaroid camera, printed out two photos for you.
"Thank you," you told him, taking the photos from his hands then flicking them rapidly to make the images develop. You and Mal were about to walk to the reception area when the photographer stopped you, handing the male beside you a business card.
"If you two need a photographer or a videographer for your wedding, call me," she signaled to both of you before running to another guest, bringing her assistant with her.
You gawked, "Mal, did you just hear what she said?"
"Loud and clear." A grin was on his face. He seemed very pleased at what he heard.
"... How can she even tell if someone is married or not?"
Maliksi's free hand took your left hand, tapping the ring finger, "Nothing here."
"Ooooooh. I get it now." Your brows creased. "Huh. This is like the fifth time today the people here have mistaken us for a couple."
Maliksi shrugged, teasing you, "Who knows? Baka may potential tayo, babe."
Before you could ask him what he meant, he was hurriedly towing you to the reception venue. While he was doing that, you stared at the now-developed polaroid photos you were holding. Huh. Maybe you two did look like a couple.
"Come on, they're serving some snacks at the welcome reception area. Peach pie and mango float-flavored. Paborito mo, babe."

The rest of the night went by without a hitch. You were actually enjoying the event—the host was great, the food was great, the music was great. Everything was great... that was, until the games.
"Alright! Now that the bride's garter has been removed, let's have the bouquet and garter toss... starting with the females!" the host announced. "Dear bride, please stay here in front. And all single ladies—and by single I mean ready to mingle and are not married—please rise and stand here on the dance floor. Let's play matchmaker tonight, everyone!"
"Uy, single ladies daw," Maliksi nudged your side. "Sign mo na 'yan." You snorted like a pig.
"Nope, ayokong madamay sa bouquet toss," you whisper-yelled at your best friend. "Do you know how embarrassing that is?! Besides, they won't notice if I don't join! Special tactic ko 'yan sa weddings: pretending I'm not single. Katabi naman kita."
More women came to the front, making you feel assured that you didn't need to participate. The host was about to say something, when the bride interrupted to whisper something into his ear.
"Hala, halaaa! Sabi ko all single ladies, pero may isang single lady na nagtatago pa!" he announced, making you freeze. Please don't let it be you. "What's her name, beloved bride?"
"Y/N L/N." You nearly spat out your champagne. You? Did they just call out your name? How did they know?
"Oh fuck," you cursed quietly.
"'Di ka makakatakas dito, babe," Maliksi jabbed, making you stand up. "Tinatawag ka na."
"Baka may ibang Y/N L/N dito," you resisted, attempting to sit back down. "I can't do this, Mal."
"'Sus, ikaw pa. And it's just a symbolic ceremony!" he encouraged, as if he didn't have any underlying intentions. "I doubt the bouquet will go to you anyway."
Sheesh, what a big fat liar you are, tikbalang prince.
You expressed your dissatisfaction with the situation, "Bwiset, fine. I'll just... dodge it. Or evade it. God, I swear..." You calmed down, confident. "I'm not going to worry. I've never caught the bouquet at my own friends' weddings anyway."
When you were at the dance floor, Maliksi snickered, seeing the bride—his cousin—wink at him. After all, he had thoroughly bribed her earlier.
《《《
"It's about time you settled down with someone, Mal," the bride commented while he slipped her the newest Hermés designer bag filled with a bunch of jewelry (plus some bills) two hours ago, right before the reception began and while you were in the restroom freshening up. "Hehehe, this is why you're my favorite cousin."
"Do we have a deal?"
"Of course. I'll make sure she participates. I'll also try to throw it in her direction."
"Good. Thanks."
"You better invite me to your beach wedding. I can tell how much you love her."
"Not a problem. I'll even make you a sponsor."
The bride stared at her bouquet, already practicing how she was going to throw it, "Tito's going to thank me so much for ensuring that he's going to get grandkids soon, hihi."
》》》
Back to the present, on the other end of the room, Maliksi saw a familiar duo give him a sign that they were ready. Bingo. Time to execute the most important part of his plan.
《《《
"I don't care how you do it," he told the two wind elementals after he bribed the bride. "I've already instructed the bride on what she should do, pero siguraduhin niyo lang talagang lumipad sa kanya ang bouquet."
"Mmhmm," Amie flipped her hair, a hand on her cocked hip. "And what do we get in return, oh great Señorito Armanaz?"
"Sagot ko bar-hopping niyo for one month."
The two girls pretended to think about it, making Maliksi roll his eyes. He had to pull out the big guns, huh?
"Fine. Magbibigay ako ng cash deposit plus pwede niyong gamitin ang black card ko for a one-week shopping spree in Ortigas." There. Bullseye. That's what they liked.
"Deal!" they exclaimed excitedly.
Hannah let a cool gust of wind enter one of the nearby windows, testing out how they're going to do this. "Ano pa bang pinaplano mo for Y/N mamaya?"
Maliksi hummed, "Basta."
》》》
You tried your best to hide within the densest part of the group of women. The bride seemed to have her eyes on you, weirdly enough, and she looked almost feral wanting to throw her flowers into someone's face.
That someone being you. Most likely.
"Target locked on," you saw her mouth move. She positioned herself like she was about to throw a football at someone (ahem, you). Holy shit, was she talking to you? Miss ma'am, it was a bouquet toss not a bouquet throw. The bride seemed to notice this, and once more regained her elegant composure.
"3, 2, 1," the host counted down. "Go!"
Surprisingly, the bouquet flew very high into the air (it was a wonder it didn't get tangled in the ceiling decor), but quite a distance away from you. You grinned, knowing it was too far to even touch you. Squeezing through the crowd of women eagerly awaiting the bouquet, you went to return to your assigned table.
Ah, what a wonderful evening.
Sike!
Something painfully landed right into your face, leaves and flowers getting into your hair and mouth.
... Wait, leaves and flowers?
Before you could comprehend it, the bouquet dropped right into your arms. What kind of ungodly, inhuman force allowed this to even happen?
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have our lucky girl for the night!" Everyone clapped, with some—those guests you knew—even cheering your name unbelievably loud. The host approached you, a glint in his eye which you couldn't understand. "Miss Y/N, kindly sit here while we await the lucky guy who catches the garter from the groom."
What just happened?
"All single gentlemen, please proceed to the dance floor. Remember, the man who gets the garter gets to slip it onto the lucky lady's leg later!"
Oh, God. You pinched the bridge of your nose. What you'd give to be back at home or to be in that resort in Batangas you'd planned on going to for a solo vacation.
"To make this even more exciting," the host stated, handing you a black blindfold. "Our lucky lady has to keep her eyes closed until her lucky man for the night captures the bride's garter! When the music plays, only then can she uncover her eyes."
See? Humiliating, just as you expected. Still, you wrapped the blindfold around your head (albeit hesitantly). You attempted to guess who it might be, thinking of all the tikbalang friends Maliksi had introduced to you back then whenever he invited you to his clan reunions.
"Groom, are you ready?" the host asked, microphone loud and clear.
"Ready na ready!"
"Single gentlemen, are you ready?!"
"Ready na ready! Awoo, awoo!" they loudly chorused, exactly mimicking Spartans about to engage in battle. You sweatdropped in the seat you were in. This was actually kind of scary. Maybe you felt a bit objectified.
"3, 2, 1, go!"
There was a brief moment of silence, which made you concerned. Ba't ang tahimik? Then, everyone erupted into roars and bravoes much louder than when you caught the bouquet—perhaps even louder by tenfold. What the heck was happening?!
The music played. Very raunchy, spicy, babymaking music. You expected it to be the typical Careless Whisper by George Michael or Pony by Ginuwine (corny songs which you could probably laugh at, at least), but no. Nuh-uh, this was probably worse. The DJ must be pretty young, the song of their choosing being a slowed, bass-boosted, sexier remix of Earned It by the Weeknd.
Ano 'to, bold? Fifty Shades of Grey? The hell was this?
Alright. This was embarrassing. Thank the heavens there were no children at this party. From the music alone and its implications, this was strictly for adults.
You removed your blindfold (that was okay now, right?) as the guests whistled playfully. You peeked one eye open reluctantly, then inwardly groaned. Oh, no. You should've expected it to be him of all people from how loud the reactions were. And all those yells from the crowd were from his family.
Son of a—
"Well, this has proven to be a very interesting arrangement!" the host proclaimed. "Our lucky man for tonight is none other than our great clan leader's heir, Maliksi Armanaz! Congratulations, sir! You get to slip the lacey little garter on Miss Y/N!"
The said very smug tikbalang stood a few feet away from the chair you were sitting on, smirking at you. His hair was no longer in that mesmerizing ponytail—instead, he'd tied it into a more sinfully attractive man-bun, loose strands framing his face and accentuating that sharp, angled jaw of his (say yes and thank you to Manny Jacinto's jawline, besties).
"Let's cheer him on in his new mission, everybody!" the host pushed. Was this that glint in his eye earlier? And was that a one thousand peso bill sticking out of his pocket?
The groomsmen, Mal's cousins and uncles whom you've met before, hollered words of encouragement to the tall man (who was, oddly enough, not one bit fazed). In fact, Maliksi seemed like he was famished as he stared you down.
You swallowed, feeling like you were going to get eaten (heh, say that again). Maliksi had shrugged off his dark suit blazer to the beat of the song (holy fuck, he also unclasped the suspenders attached to his pants right before your eyes—asdfghjkl). Were you prepared for this? No. Will you ever be prepared? No!
"Mr. Armanaz, before you begin," the host interrupted. "We have an additional challenge for you in this mission. Kaya mo ba? It was a request of the newlywed couple."
"What is it?"
"Use your teeth!" the bride and the groom cheerfully shouted, clapping with the other guests. Whatdidtheysaaaaay???
The cocky bastard didn't even hesitate, his smirk at you growing wider; those pearly whites of his on full display. Was it just you or were his canines a little sharper than usual?
"Anything for the newlyweds. Challenge accepted," he dashingly replied, winking at you. You sputtered indignantly. Pisteng yawa. Putangina. Putek. Pakshet. You swore you thought of every swear word in the book at that moment. What did that YouTube parody song about Filipino mythological creatures say again? About the tikbalang? Ah, yes. Half-macho dancer and half-stallion. Maybe the joke was true, especially when you saw what Maliksi did next.
He bit the shred of lace, loosening his necktie (bestie, you good there?), unbuttoning some top buttons, and rolling up the sleeves of his collared white undershirt up to his elbows (consequently showing off his toned, veiny forearms—those lucky bridesmaids behind him nearly fainted). Honestly, you felt like you were about to lose your mind from embarrassment. With how tantalizing your guy best friend was being? Let our response be: San Pedro, kunin mo na ako. Was he doing all this to tease you? To rile you up?
Because damn it all, it was working. In your ten years of knowing Maliksi Armanaz, withstanding all his daily dirty jokes and flirtatious attempts, never had you seen him like this. So... wolfish. Ravenous. Like he was a man that hadn't been fed in years.
He stalked closer towards you, falling to his knees in front of your legs. Your gown had a long slit that extended up to an inch or two below where your left leg began—your best friend was eyeing his target already, knowing where to place the garter. Normally, you would never even wear something as revealing as this gown. It just wasn't your type, but Maliksi was the one who bought this for you for this specific occasion, so you had no choice. It was this or your pantulog he stole you in just hours ago. At first, you were confident in the gown. Now? You felt too... naked.
Somehow, in the heat of it all, you'd muted out the noise of the venue. Maliksi teasingly lifted your foot up, fingertips slyly grazing the thin shoe straps around your left foot—his calculated touch leaving fire in its trail. Once the garter had been successfuly inserted past your high-heeled stilettos, the man kneeling in front of you kept his hands to himself. Despite the fact that now there was absolutely zero skin-to-skin contact between you and this man, your body felt hotter than it ever was before as he expertly slid the lacy bit of cloth up your ankle at an agonizingly slow pace.
Maliksi's warm eyes had turned dark, his pupils blown, a tinge of red in them—of his true beast—while he maintained striking eye contact with you, pulling the garter up your calf with his teeth. Smoothly tugging... tugging... tugging. Tangina, it was like he was undressing you with his eyes alone; like he was telepathically telling you to keep your eyes open.
To keep your eyes on him, where he was knelt inbetween your legs, his hands intentionally locked on his back. Did you ever imagine this? Him between your legs? Maybe. Once or twice. But you never thought about it seriously; Maliksi dated girls left and right in the past.
His lips... his lips were so close... so close to your leg that you could feel the heat of his breath along with the lace. Were you about to die? Perhaps you already did. Maybe you were in heaven. Up... up... up... snap!
Suddenly, he stopped, grinning up at you mischievously and letting the elastic bounce back to the skin of your left knee.
"I'm not going any further, don't worry, babe," he whispered, noting that your eyes had become misty and glazed over. Internally, he grew worried. "That's enough." Did he think it was from discomfort? From you being uncomfortable? Bitch, no. It was the exact opposite. You had never been this turned on in your entire life.
You felt like your soul had left your body at that moment. Did you just have a heart attack? Was your blood pressure okay? Before you or Maliksi could stand, however, someone bellowed from the wedding sponsor tables.
"Higher! That's an order!"
Fucking hell, it was Maliksi's father who shouted. He wasn't in the huge tikbalang form you'd normally meet him in, but he was still very intimidating in his humanoid form, commanding attention and subservience wherever he went. You could tell where Maliksi got it from.
Instantly, the other guests—already half-drunk and wanting the spirit of partying to continue on—joined in.
"Higher! Higher!"
The host cheered, "You heard Señor Armanaz! Higher!"
Maliksi gave you a questioning look. Even if it was his father who spoke up, he still wouldn't do anything you didn't want. Well, you two made it this far; there was no point in getting embarrassed now. You bit the inside of your cheek, nodding. You probably couldn't erase the redness on your skin with how much you'd blushed from this night. It was as if the heat was tattooed onto your skin.
"Go on, Mal," you whispered to him, bending your torso down closer to his face, eyes half-lidded from want. "Finish what you started, babe."
With those sultry bedroom eyes he'd never once seen you show him before—plus you turning the tables with that familiar term of endearment, how could he refuse? Like a switch had been flipped inside him, he immediately complied, taking the frilly scrap of stretchy lace between his teeth once more, moving it further up to your thighs until where your high slit ended—centimeters below the warming juncture between your legs.
Your legs felt wobbly... boneless, as you stood up from the chair, the fabric of your gown cascading over where the lace sat securely on your upper left thigh. The party was still going strong even after you two finished the garter wearing tradition.
"'Atta boy! That's my son!" Señor Armanaz blazoned, standing up and raising his glass for a toast. "Cheers to the newlywed couple! May they last forever!"
You guys weren't the newlyweds, but it did sure feel like it. If the clan leader was hyped up, everyone was hyped up. Heck, the groom and the bride didn't mind one bit what had just transpired on their dance floor. In all the chaos, Maliksi took you out of the reception area and somewhere quieter. More private.
You would need to have a serious, urgent talk with your boy best friend.
》》》
You two silently sat on a stone bench in a gazebo somewhere in the reserved venue for the wedding, trying to cool down and get yourselves back together (at this point, you needed ice from that steamy, half-scandalous event you just went through). Here, there was no one else except for the chirping of crickets, the lush trees surrounding the area, and the golden fairy lights strewn all over the roof. Awkwardness was something you'd expected after what just happened, but somehow, you still felt comfort in this man's presence. For the past thirty minutes, both of you just stayed still, lost in your thoughts and reflecting.
"Mal?" you finally spoke up.
"... Hmm?"
"Ano tayo?"
"Whatever you want us to be."
Your fingers instinctively reached out for his, just like they always did when you were anxious. Sensing this, he grasped your hand and squeezed it reassuringly. Soothingly. He massaged the skin of your fingers, distracting you from your nervousness. It seemed like both nothing and everything changed between both of you. The gesture was the same, but so different at the same time.
"Mahal mo ako." It was not a question. It was a statement. A truth—one that you'd been too blind to see before. One that you only discovered while you stared into each other's eyes in that party not as best friends. You realized with a jolt in your heart what he really felt for you, and now, what you really felt for him. In those thirty minutes of silence, you knew. You just knew.
"Yes. I do."
"... Just as a best friend?" you probed.
"..."
Finally, you gazed into his eyes, previously so dark and full of hunger. Now? Just reluctant. Vulnerable. Open. Unsure of what to do next.
Seems like you had to be the one to take initiative tonight. Taking out your phone, you opened your music app and pressed play on a certain song. Ikaw at Ako by Johnoy Danao. You removed your heels (which were starting to blister your ankles and toes), then pulled him up to stand.
"Dance with me," you murmured, grabbing his arms to wrap them around your waist. He was stiff. Tense. What was he to do when the woman he's been pining after for so long let him hold her? All his gallantry and ability to romance disappeared out the window the moment you let him touch you so intimately.
You two weren't even waltzing. Just swaying. Slowly, you leaned your head on his broad chest, listening to the steady thump of his heart.
"... I love you," Maliksi admitted in the middle of it all, feeling like he was dreaming. Your head on his chest kept him grounded to reality, however. "More than anything in the universe. I fell for you ever since you patched me up when you were nineteen and I was a reckless drag racer who didn't have a purpose in life. 'Nung dinala mo ako pabalik sa Armanaz Tower on the verge of death. Simula noon, ikaw lang."
"I realized that," you smiled, reminiscing the old memory. You were just a broke college student that time, coming back to your dorm from making your group thesis at a classmate's house. Imagine your panic when you found a half-man, half-horse bleeding out by some bushes on the way home at night. Despite your fear and your little money (only enough to feed you for the week), you went out of your way to buy a first-aid kit at the nearest 7/11. It was scary, but you managed to mend the creature's wounds by the side of the road. When he was finally able to speak, turning fully human (which you admit, freaked you out initially), you arduously carried him back to his address—to his father and his clan, even if you had classes the very next morning. Because of your heroic deed of saving their precious heir, the tikbalang clan had become indebted to you: a teenage girl on the verge of a mental academic breakdown, just making her way through the cruel adult world. How old of a memory that was, you thought, yet you still recalled it in perfect detail. "Just a while ago."
"Ah." He swayed you gently.
"Lahat ng ito, plano mo?"
"... Yes," Maliksi fessed up. "Except for this part where we're here dancing in this belvedere. Wala sa plano ko. Gusto ko sanang magconfess doon sa may fountain para sweet, pero..."
You lifted your head off his chest, smiling at him with one brow raised, "You know, between both of us, you're supposed to be the spontaneous one. Planning isn't usually your thing."
"I know. It's a failure, huh?" Maliksi sighed.
"Nah." You shook your head, then suddenly locked lips with him. It was so fast and surprising he didn't even get the chance to return your first kiss. For once, you caught him off guard. You pecked him on the lips again. "It's not a failure."
"Wha—"
"I'm sorry for making you wait, Maliksi. Ten years. We're twenty-nine now, and only tonight do I realize how blind I've been. We've been going around in circles, wasting so much time. Ayoko nang mag-aksaya ng oras," you whispered guiltily against his lips. How could you have been so blind? Andaming nasayang na taon. Making up your mind, you told him, "Yes. Sige, I accept. I'll be your plus one."
The tikbalang was flustered and baffled from the kiss, as well as your revelation, "... But, you already are?"
"No, silly. I meant that I'll be your plus one for life. For as long as you'll have me," you laughed, now processing that you were currently dancing barefoot with your boy best friend and had just kissed him in a wedding you didn't even plan on going to. The universe had a mysterious way of doing things. "Guess I'm the spontaneous one now, huh?"
Maliksi was tongue-tied. "Seryoso ka ba? Is... Is this a marriage proposal?"
"Whatever you want it to be," you echoed his words back to him. "Best friend, plus one, girlfriend, wife—mmpf!"
He kissed you so hard your lips bruised. After an impromptu makeout session which was definitely more in character for Maliksi, you both pulled away, panting heavily in search for air, still desperate for passion. He cupped your cheeks, giving you a sweet, featherlight Eskimo kiss.
"You're missing one more title."
"Hm? What do you mean, Mal?"
"Love of my life." He kissed you again, this time lifting you off your feet and spinning you around (his sneaky right hand was resting on your bum, too, giving it a tight squeeze). You know in the Princess Diaries where the main character's foot just... pops whenever the prince charming kissed her? Yeah, that happened to you on that humid summer night. This was right. You two were meant to be together. Everything was falling into place.
The bungalow you reserved for your Batangas vacation leave ended up being the site of your very eventful honeymoon with the Prince of the Tikbalang (with his libido, it wasn't that difficult to continue where you'd left off in the garter toss; that scrap of lace came off your leg the same way it went on). Actually, nauna pa ang honeymoon sa actual wedding (it was definitely spontaneous). Right after your confession in that alcove, you two went to Maliksi's father to ask for his blessing (which he gladly gave, cackling and saying that it took you long enough) before you guys went driving off to Batangas that night. You and Mal indeed had lots and lots of fun in that resort (I'll let you imagine the rest). More beautiful memories were made from that point on—this time, not just as best friends.
All that and your small, intimate wedding occurred in early April. Just when you thought that it'd be impossible to fulfill Maliksi's life goal of having a baby within the year (nine months of pregnancy meant that the earliest you'd give birth would be January next year), the impossible happened.
Exactly thirty-two weeks later, on New Year's Eve, the Armanaz herd welcomed one prince and two new princesses into the world. Triplets who were instantly adored by everyone in the clan.
Señor Armanaz had never been happier, and so were you and your husband. Your best friend. The love of your life. Your forever plus one.
Maybe being spontaneous wasn't so bad after all.

Saw this video game tag thing pop up on my dash a few days ago. Wanted to do it.
1. First game you played obsessively? Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I believe I was 5yo. Still waiting on that FF7 Remake treatment.
Tumblr media
2. A game that has influenced you creatively? Writing, drawing, etc. Well if I play a game and like it, then I'll create sims of it. Does that count?
3. Who did you play with as a kid? My brother from the day I was born.
4. Who do you play with now? My brother FROM THE DAY I WAS BORN.
5. Ever use cheat codes? I wasn't lying when I made this post. {link}
6. Ever buy strategy guides? Yes! Mainly to look at the artwork though. (Don't need no guide!)
7. Any games you have multiple copies of? Lots of games, most being Left 4 Dead with 6 copies (3 Xbox 360, 1 PC case, 2 PC digitally.) What can I say, its a GOOD GAME!
8. Rarest/Most expensive game in your collection? Gold cartridge Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (maybe that's rare?)
Tumblr media
9. Most regrettable purchase? I don't regret my purchases, but I have received games I have never played like Cubix (PS2) no clue where that game came from, but I have it somehow. Madagascar (Xbox 360) came with my Xbox 360, never opened it from its case. And Monsters Inc. Scream Arena (Gamecube) or something... it was a gift.
10. Ever go to a midnight game release or stand in line for hours? No, because then I'd have to interact with people.
11. Have you ever made new friends from playing video games? I'm only friends with people BECAUSE of video games, so yes.
12. Ever get picked on for liking games? No, that'd be ridiculous.
13. A game you’ve never played that everyone else has? Probably a lot, I'd say Call of Duty, but I technically played CoD 1, 2, and 4. The campaign mode was alright, but I don't really care for CoD games at ALL.
14. Favorite game music? Koji Kondo and Grant Kirkhope are two BIG ones.
15. If it was a requirement to get a game related tattoo, what would you pick? Triforce is the most basic option, but I'd rather not get a tattoo.
16. Favorite game to play with your friends IRL? Super Smash Bros. Brawl with hacks, but that was over a decade ago.
Tumblr media
17. Ever lose a friend over a game? No, that'd be ridiculous.
18. Would you date someone that hates gaming? No, that'd be RIDICULOUS.
19. Favorite handheld console? PSP. 3DS is great, but PSP Monster Hunter has ALL of my portable gaming memories. Like playing in school after End of Grade tests with my friend.
20. Game that you know like the back of your hand? Sims 4 I like to think I know everything about Left 4 Dead. Quite a bit about Monster Hunter, more so of a series though than a specific game.
21. Game that you didn’t like or understand as a kid but love now? I'd say Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. I loved it as a kid, but had a lot of complex pen & paper RPG mechanics that I never understood. I understand a lot more of it now, but its still complex as all heck. I just know you hit things, they die.
22. Do you wear game related clothing/accessories? That's the only thing I wear.
23. The game that you’ve logged the most hours into? Not sure so I'll list a few. Sims 4, Smash Bros. Brawl, Monster Hunter (its a series though), or Left 4 Dead
24. First Pokemon game? Leaf Green
25. Were you ever an arcade game player? No, don't like paying to play.
26. Ever form any gaming rivalries? No.
27. Game that makes you rage? I don't get mad at games, but I had a custom modded Hard Eight mutation in Left 4 Dead that is absolute bullsh*t!
28. Ever play in a tournament? No, because then I'd have to interact with people.
29. What is your gaming set up? A giant wall of video game consoles spanning from NES to Switch, 4 TVs, but I sit at a desk with a PC.
30. How many consoles do you own? "I own every console that's ever existed." - I Don't Play Games When I Play Games (My STRENTH) original song by Smooth McGroove BUT no seriously I own 32 consoles including handhelds.
31. Does the 3DS and/or Virtual Boy hurt your eyes or give you headaches? Yes. 3DS gave me headaches though I only really played with the 3D feature in Ocarina of Time 3D. I think my eyes broke because I couldn't get my 3D to work very well after.
32. Did you ever play a game based on your favorite show/cartoon/movie/comic? Sure I play games based on a lot of things. Literally any anime game. If I had to pick Dragon Ball Xenoverse is kinda like a dream Dragon Ball game. Oh, Attack on Titan 2 is pretty neat too!
Tumblr media
33. Did you ever have any bootleg games or plug-n-play games? Some SEGA plug-n-play thing once. Played it like once and now its lost to time (or my closet.)
34. Do either of your parents play video games? Yes. Mom and Dad played NES Super Mario Bros. My Dad went HARD at that game until he saved the Princess. Then he quit forever.
35. Ever work in a game store? Or do you have a favorite game shop? "Hi. Welcome to Gamestop!"I never want to hear that again, but it was my main store until I went full digital/ online orders.
36. Have you ever shed actual blood, sweat or tears over a game? No, I don't tend to get upset or emotional, but Bill dying in Left 4 Dead made me pretty pissed.
Tumblr media
37. Have you played E.T. for the Atari 2600? Do you think that’s the worst game ever, or do you have another nomination? Never played it. I don't really play "bad" games, but maybe Sims 4.
38. A game you’re ashamed to admit that you like? The Sims 4
39. A sequel that you would die for them to make? Dragon's Dogma 2 WHICH I think is actually in development, so I'd have to say Fallout New Vegas 2. C'mon Bethesda you cowards, hand the keys back over to Obsidian so they can make another good Fallout game!
40. What to you think of virtual reality headsets or motion controls? Two part question, two answers. VR Headset to immerse in world, yes. Motion Controls, no.
41. A genre that you just can’t get into? MOBAs and MMOs. I don't like paying to keep playing.
42. Maybe it wasn’t your first game, but what was the game that started you on your path to nerdiness? Nintendo 64 opened me up to what video games could be as a kid. Sad to say my parents' NES didn't really do that for me. And years later Fallout 3 was a big game changer for me too.
Tumblr media
43. Ever play games when you really should have been concentrating on something else? Every day of my LIFE.
44. Arcade machine that has consumed the most of your quarters? None. I'd rather emulate.
45. How are you at Mario Kart? Pretty dang good. 3-STARS MARIO KART WII, BABY!
46. Do you like relaxing games like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon? Yes, both of those. I preferred when Animal Crossing had more character to it. New Horizons looks so pretty, but feels so bland compared to classic AC.
47. Do you like competitive games? No. Not really. Usually amongst friends or if I can get competitive against AI Bots. I love my machine bot friends cause they don't cry like 10 year olds when they lose.
48. How long does it take your to customize your player character? Too long. I've seriously restarted games because I wasn't happy with my character's appearance.
49. In games where you can pick your class, do you always tend to go for the same type of character? Yes, I am always the magic man, my brother is always brute warrior, and my friend is the ranger.
Tumblr media
50. If you were a game designer, what masterpiece would you create? I don't really know. Honestly, I'd rather mod already good games to make them better than create something completely new.
51. Have you ever played a game for so long that you forgot to eat or sleep? No, that'd be ridiculous. But I've had a friend fall asleep playing games at my house 3 different times and currently dozes off during our Minecraft sessions. So, maybe that's not a completely ridiculous thing after all.
52. A game that you begged your parents for as a kid? Kirby 64 apparently. My brother tells me we had to count out pennies to buy it. I must've been too young with no recollection, but I believe it.
53. What’s your opinion on DLC these days? It's good if its not in the game's files from the beginning and is actually developed AFTER launch... and pre-order bonuses should be standard DLC a month or two later. Some games have content lost to time because of that pre-order bullsh*t.
54. Do you give in to Steam sales? Of course. If you want a game and its on sale then why not? I typically wait just for Steam sales to get games.
55. Did you ever make someone you hated in the Sims and did mean stuff to them? No? I typically make people and characters I like in Sims. I've made villains like Dio, but he's an anime villain and I don't really HATE him despite the horrible things he's done.
56. Did you ever play Roller Coaster Tycoon and kill off your guests? No. Never played that game.
57. Did you ever play a game to 100% or get all of the achievements? I try to for all the games I really like.
58. If you can only play 3 games for the rest of your life, which ones do you pick? The Sims 4, Skyrim, & Fallout: New Vegas. Mods make them live forever. Left 4 Dead and Monster Hunter are good choices too.
59. Do you play any cell phone games? Those aren't games.
60. Do you know the Konami Code? No? But I'll take a guess. Is it make an IP and forget it exists?
61. Do you trade in your games or keep them forever? Keep forever... even the bad ones.
62. Ever buy a console specifically to play one game? PS4 Pro for Monster Hunter World. It was basically for early access since the PC version was being developed and releasing after PS4, but I don't like waiting.
63. Ever go to a gaming convention or tournament? Sort of. Been to anime cons and walked into the gaming tournament rooms only to walk out less than 10 minutes later.
64. Ever make a TV or monitor purchase based on what would be best for gaming? No, but I'm going to be doing that soon, hopefully.
65. Ever have a Game Genie, Game Shark or Action Replay? Did it ever mess up your game’s save file? GameShark for N64, PS2, Gameboy, and Action Replay for Gamecube, DS, 3DS. And no not really, I would cheat responsibly... but there was this one time at school my friend and I borrowed another friend's Gameboy game, loaded it up with my Gameshark, tried playing, it crashed, loaded it back up, save file corrupted... we just stared at each other jaws dropped, "Here's your game back, dude. Make sure you don't play it til you get back home!"
66. Did you ever have have an old Nokia with Snake on it? No, but I remember seeing them on billboards in the game DRIV3R on PS2.
67. Do you have a happy gaming-related childhood memory you want to share? Every game I play is filled with happy memories (mostly.)
68. Ever save up a ton of tickets in an arcade to get something cool? These tiger plushes. My brother got white and I got orange. They were the coolest. Got a butt load of tickets from some jackpot spinning light game thing as I was good at the timing with repeated jackpot hits.
69. In your opinion, best game ever made? I've played quite a few masterpiece games, but to pick one, I'd say Fallout: New Vegas
Tumblr media
70. Very first game you ever beat? Super Mario 64. I was a mere child on a Sunday morning and ate celebratory pancakes made by my Dad.
Tumblr media
Wow, that was long... I get the feeling this was supposed to be a "send me ask with numbers" thing, but answering all at once is more fun.

Readers pov
When I woke up, Din was gently nudging me. The sun was now up, and shining brightly. I sat up and turned to see what both him and Cara were looking at. We had made it to the village. There was a small group of kids excitedly making their way over to us, happy that we were here. I looked over at the kid who had also woken up and was trying to see what we were looking at, but he wasn't tall enough.
I picked him and set him down a little bit higher on a crate so he could see, "There you go, little guy." I said and he cooed happily.
The children were all very fascinated by the kid. Din got up and then offered me a hand to help me down, and although I didn't really need it, I took his hand. Some men had already come over to help unload everything. I went to grab a crate I knew wasn't going to be that heavy but before my hands even got close to it, Din was putting his arm up to stop me. I gave him a look daring him to tell me I couldn't help.
"Fine but only the light stuff." He said with a sigh. I smiled triumphantly.
We had moved just about everything into a hut. It wasn't much, but I wasn't complaining. We were in the middle of nowhere and had a roof over our heads. I said we made out pretty well.
I walked with Din as he was bringing in one of the last crates into the hut when we got there, there was a woman opening up one of the windows.
"I hope this is comfortable for the three of you. Sorry that all we have is the barn." She said.
"This will do fine." Din said setting the box he was carrying down.
"I stacked some extra blankets in the corner. It can get quite cold at night." She said motioning to where they were.
"Thank you." I said to the woman giving her a kind smile that she returned.
A young girl slowly walked into the door frame. She had crept up, and Din barely heard the creek of a wooden plank. He was immediately on his feet with his hand reaching for his blaster. I jumped at his actions but quickly moved to put my hand on his arm. He immediately lowered his guard seeing the young, now frightened, girl.
The woman walked over to her and pulled her into a hug while still looking at us, "This my daughter Winta. We don't get a lot of visitors around here. She's not used to strangers." She said stroking the child's hair.
"These nice people are going to help protect us from the bad ones." She said looking down at her daughter.
"Thank you." Winta said looking over at us.
Din only gave a nod in response. This would take a while for him to get used to, both of us for that matter. He had an easy enough time adapting to having a pregnant woman on the ship, even before he knew it was me. But I think that’s easier than adapting to a child because, it’s still an adult, they just have to be more careful around them to some degree. They can still do most things and can communicate just fine, but a child on the other can’t.
Then they left us to finish settling in. A small, worn, cradle was brought in for the kid, which was nice of them. The people here were so welcoming to us.
We continued to settle into the hut we'd be staying in. The kid had fallen asleep for a while which we were grateful for, we could get everything situated in peace. I helped move boxes out of the way to give us space to walk. Then I noticed a slight issue, well maybe it was an issue. I wasn't sure yet.
"Hey, Din." I said getting his attention.
"Yes?" He asked with his back towards me.
"Did you notice there's only one cot?" I asked him as he turned towards me.
He looked passed me to the cot, it wasn't small but it wasn't big either. You could fit two people on it but they had to be okay with being close, very close.
"We should both be able to fit, if we're close. But if you're not comfortable with that, you can take the cot, I can sleep on the floor." Din said.
"Absolutely not, I'm not letting you sleep on the ground. I'm fine with sharing it, I just didn't know how you would feel..." I said looking at where I was sure his eyes were.
He was quiet for a moment but then he spoke up, "Do you remember that year before I got an extra cot on the ship?" He asked suddenly.
The old memories of that year quickly came to mind.
"Yeah. At first we tried to take shifts sleeping on the one cot..." I said shaking my head at how ridiculous it was.
"Then that one bounty really kicked our ass, and we were both exhausted..." he continued stepping closer.
"And we turned off all the lights in the ship before we both took off our helmets and squeezed onto the cot together..." a smile was working its way up onto my face.
"In hindsight we should have showered beforehand, it smelt so bad." He said and I swear I could practically hear his smile that was hidden under the helmet.
"Oh don't remind me." I said laughing, he let out a small laugh as well.
Unconsciously we had drifted closer to one another. He was looking down slightly at me, and I was looking up at him.
"How do you do that?" He asked in a whisper.
"Do what?" I asked just as quietly.
"Looking me in the eyes through the visor?" He asked.
I just smiled, "I don't know..." I said.
We stood this way for some time. Just staring at each other enjoying the calmness around us, I still felt slightly uneasy about this all but I didn’t want to ruin the moment with bringing it up.
“Everything okay?” He asked gently.
I debated on whether or not I should tell him. “Something still doesn’t feel right. It’s like there’s something more out there that they aren’t telling us about.”
“Well there’s the bandits, there could be something else. Cara and I are going out there tomorrow to look for anything.”
I nodded. "We should finish unloading things." I said he gave me a nod in agreement before slowly letting go of my hand.
A few hours later Omera came back with a tray of food. Winta came running a second latter.
"Hello, Winta." I said, giving her a smile, which she shyly returned before looking at the kid.
"Can I feed him?" She asked looking between me and Din, not sure about who she should ask. I looked at Din waiting for him to answer.
"Sure." He said making the young girl smile even more.
We all watched as she fed the small creature and giggled making both me, Omera and I hope Din smile.
"Can I play with him?" The young girl asked looking up at Din.
He let out a sigh, but still gave the okay and moved to pick him up out of the cradle then set him down on the floor. She stood and began to run out of the hut, the kid following as fast as he could.
Din took a hasty step forward, "I don't think..." he began but was cut off.
"They'll be fine." Me and Omera said at the same. Din looked back at me and I gave him a reassuring nod and he sighed.
I stood and was now standing with them.
"I noticed you didn't eat while we were out there, so I brought you some food. I'll leave it with you so you can eat." She said with a kind smile towards Din.
"Thank you that's very thoughtful." He said.
She nodded before turning to leave.
"I'm going to go with her." I said and followed her out both to leave him to eat and just to talk to her.
"Can I ask you something?" She asked me.
"Sure..." I said slightly unsure as to what she might ask me about.
"When was the last time he took off his helmet?" she asked with a tone that conveyed both her curiosity and slight concern.
"Well that depends on what you mean by that, because if you're just asking when was the last time he took it off in general, that would be yesterday morning when he took a shower on the ship." I said although I knew what she had meant.
"I mean, when was the last time he took it off in front of someone?" She clarified.
"I was probably about their age, he was just a year or two older. " I began as I pointed over to where the village children were playing with the kid, "We're from different planets, both of which had been attacked around the same time. We both lost everything, everyone, we had. The Mandalorians took us in, not too long after that we took the creed and put on our helmets. In that culture once they are on, you never take it off if you do you can never put it back on." I explained the brief version of our history.
"May I ask why you don't wear a helmet anymore?" She asked.
I contemplated whether or not I should tell her but ultimately decided to. "My last mission went very wrong. I got shot and was dying, a man offered me some help. He promised he wouldn't take it off, I agreed. He helped me, stitched me up. But he also took off my helmet and did a few other things I don't like thinking about..." I said taking a deep breath to keep my emotions at bay.
She had an odd look on her face as if she was trying to figure out what I meant. I could tell she wanted to know what happened but didn't want to press.
I sighed, "Let's just say that this isn't his baby..." I said nodding back to the building we had left Din in. Her eyes went wide with realization.
"I'm so sorry, that's horrible." She said after a moment. It was hard to figure out what to say to someone that just told you something like this.
I shrugged, "I mean I was sorry too, at first, but there's not much I can do about it now." I said.
Me and Omera spoke for a little while longer. It was mainly stuff about having a baby and raising kids, it was nice to have someone who knew about this stuff to talk to. It was maybe twenty minutes later that her daughter found us with the kid not too far behind. He looked worn out as did Winta.
"Well, it looks like they had fun today." I said with a smile as the kid came right up to me and reached up with grabby hands for me to pick him up, which I did.
"It defiantly does." Omera agreed, hugging her child.
The sun was starting to go down. "I'll see the two of you tomorrow. Good night." I said and they said good night back before I began to make my way back to the barn. On the way there the kid was dozing in and out of sleep.
"Knock, knock." I said and waited for a response before walking in, just in case he didn't have his helmet on.
"Come in." He called, and I moved a sheet that was now hanging in the door frame but wasn't earlier then walked in.
"Hey." I said smiling.
"Hi. I hope you don't mind, but I put that sheet there to give us a little bit of privacy in here." He said.
"I don't mind at all. The kid's super tired, I’m going to go ahead and put him to bed." I said already making my way over to his new bed, Din gave me a nod. The kid was asleep the moment his little head hit the small pillow.
"Did you eat?" I asked Din, keeping my voice down as to not wake the kid.
"Yes." Din said.
"Good. I'm going to get changed for bed." I said making my way over to where I had my clothes.
I stood behind some crates as I changed, then walked out with my dirty clothes and set them in a small basket by stuff. Din turned to me as I walked.
"Really?" He asked looking at me up and down.
"What?" I asked.
"You're in shorts. Omera said it gets cold at night. You're going to freeze." He said pointing to what I had on.
"Din, you've known me for how long? You should know by now I don't sleep in pants. It wouldn't matter if it was snowing. I can never get comfortable with them on. And besides if I get cold, I'll just hog the blankets." I said with a shrug making my way over to the bed.
"So you'll let me freeze then?" He asked.
"Maybe." I shrugged smiling.
He just shook his head and made his way over to his own personal belongings. He dug through a bag and pulled out a pair of grey sweat pants and a black T-shirt. I swear they were the same ones I remember him wearing years ago.
"I'm going to put these on, and take my helmet off. Will you turn off the lanterns, shut the window and make sure the sheet is secured to the door? I don't want to risk it." He said.
I nodded, "Of course. And I understand, Din. It's okay." I said standing up and making my way over to the sheet that hung in the doorway.
I made sure it wouldn't shift with the wind. Then once I was satisfied with it I moved over to the window and shut the covering of it. Now the only light came from the glowing of the lantern beside the bed. While I moved about the small building I could hear the familiar sound of armor being removed. When I finally turned out the lantern, I heard Din slip off his helmet.
"Can you see anything?" Din asked still hidden behind boxes.
"Not a thing." I said.
Then shortly after that his footsteps approached the bed. I heard him set something down, assumingly his helmet just in case. Then I felt the bed dip beside me as he sat down then laid down beside me.
"Good night, Din." I said as I rolled onto my side.
"Good night Yn." He said back.
I fell asleep quickly that night. I think part of it was the exhaustion of getting moved in and settled but also partly the feeling of knowing Din was right there, nothing could hurt me with him here. He wouldn't let anything happen.
The next day Din and Cara went out into the woods surrounding the small village to look for any traces of whatever was attacking it. I wanted so badly to go along but Din refused. Even after admitting that it would be fairly safe for me to go since it was just a scouting mission, someone needed to stay with the kid. I hated to admit it but he was right so now I'm sitting with Omera talking about baby stuff.
“So how far along are you?” Omera asked as we sat on a porch together drinking some type of tea she had made.
“About three months.” I said placing a hand on my stomach and smiling. I hadn’t gotten the chance to actually sit and talk about being pregnant with another woman yet.
“How’s it been so far?”
“Good, I haven’t been too nauseous. I have been a little more tired than I used to be but not that much. It was a weird adjustment, just knowing that there’s another life you’re suddenly caring for. And although the situation wasn’t at all what it should have been, I try not to focus on it that much, I’m having a baby and that’s what I care about. It’s my baby.” I said.
“Well, if you ever need anything, even just someone to talk to you, I’m here.” She said smiling sweetly at me.
“Thank you, that actually means a lot.” I said. I turned my attention back to where the kid was. A bunch of the village children were surrounding him as he stuffed a frog into his mouth and spit it out causing both Omera and me to laugh a little.
It was about mid-afternoon when Din returned. He made a beeline directly to me.
"Can I talk to you, alone for a moment?" He asked.
I was on my feet instantly nodding, "Yes, of course. Excuse us, Omera, I really enjoyed talking with you today. I'll see you later." I said and she returned the gesture before I followed Din to where we were currently living.
"What's wrong? What's out there? Are you hurt?" I asked as soon as we were alone.
"I'm fine. But, no one is safe here anymore. There's an AT-ST in those woods." Din said, his helmet tilted down slightly to look at me.
"How the hell did anyone get one here?" I asked in shock.
"No idea, but we need to warn them all. I just wanted to tell you first." Din said.
I nodded agreeing. "Where's Cara?"
"Waiting for us, let's go."
I followed him out and together we went to Omera and asked her to gather everyone to break the news.
"Bad news, you can't live here anymore." Din said once everyone was gathered.
I looked at him in shock. I knew he could be blunt, we both could but I expected him to be a little more delicate than that.
"Nice bedside manners" Cara commented making me laugh a little.
“Like you could do better." Din shot back.
"Can't do much worse." Cara said with a shrug and stepped forward. I stood behind them a little out of the way.
"I know this wasn't the news you wanted but there's no other option." Cara continued.
People began shouting at her and she tried to answer the question that they were firing at her. Eventually they began to get desperate. They were begging at this point.
"We have nowhere to go." Omera spoke up.
“Sure you do, this is a big planet. I mean I've seen a lot smaller." Cara tried to argue.
"My grandparents seeded theses ponds. It took generations." Someone said.
"I understand but there's not enough of us to stop that thing." Cara told him.
"No, there's not there's at least twenty of us!" he shoots back.
"I mean fighters. Be realistic" Cara scoffed.
At this point people started saying that they were willing to learn how to fight to help take it out if it meant they could stay.
"I've seen that thing take out companies of soldiers in a matter of minutes." She was trying to make them see that it wasn't that easy.
"We're not leaving." Omera said shaking her head. Her eyes found mine and she silently pleaded with me to do something.
I stepped forward and pulled on Din's arm so he'd face me.
"We can try. Try to teach them how to fight. They aren't leaving here, and you did take the job. We have to do something." I said, I still hadn't let go of his arm.
I heard him inhale and sigh.
"You cannot fight that thing." I heard Cara say as Din stepped back to where he was originally standing.
“Unless we show them how." Din said causing Cara to look at him in disbelief.
Omera met my eyes again, but this time she looked hopeful.

Well, it all began in the back of his car
I was just sixteen, but I fell so hard
You and Rafe Cameron sat in the trunk of his jeep. Rafe had asked you on a date a few days before this, quickly realizing he was falling for you hard and fast.
He drove you two up to the look-out hill, which gave you a beautiful view of the Outer Banks. He decorated the trunk with pillows and small fairy lights, playing music in the background. You were resting your head on his chest, feeling at peace as you listened to his calm heart beat.
It was when he kissed your forehead did you realize you were falling for him just as hard. Every moment you spent with him then you fell harder and harder. He never failed to make you smile and feel loved when you needed it most which you greatly appreciated.
Well, the years went by and he held my heart, but his love ran dry and we fell apart
You and Rafe had been dating for 3 years now. 3 years of going on dates, surprising each other with gifts, going to parties together, mind blowing sex, spending nights together. You thought everything was going beautifully.
However, as time went by everytime you tried to hang out with your boyfriend, he said he was always busy, coming up with excuses on why he couldn't go out when in reality he was partying with his friends and snorting coke.
I felt him growing distant, I knew his love was shifting
"Why are you constantly up my ass what the fuck is that about lately?!" Rafe screamed in your face. You two were in the middle of an argument after you asked him why he hasn't been around lately. He snapped at you as soon as you asked.
"Why are you yelling at me?" You raised your voice back, genuinely confused as to why he was acting so hostile towards you. "Because I'm not happy in our relationship anymore!" He screamed, red in the face. Your mouth fell open at his confession, a strong tension filling the room. Your eyes stung with tears, furrowing your eyebrows at him.
"What?" Your voice was barely audible as he kept his stare at the floor, rubbing his hands through his hair.
"I'm not happy anymore. I just- I don't know I'm not… in love with you anymore." A sob escaped your lips as you took in his words. You didn't say anything else to him as you walked out of his bedroom, slamming his door shut. You attempted to collect yourself at least until you were back in your car.
Accidentally bumping into Sarah, your head hung low as you apologized. "Y/N, you okay?" Your eyes met Sarah who softly gasped at your red eyes. Quickly shaking your head, you left the Cameron household, and entered your car. Your fingers gripped your steering wheel until your knuckles turned white.
You inhaled sharply, wiping the tears out of your eyes you sped out of the driveway, your grip never ending up on the wheel.
And all that I could say was, don't tell me that it's over, the book of you and I. Now you've scribbled out my name and you've erased my favorite lines
You cried into your pillows for days on end, avoiding your friends calls and texts, not going to the dinner table to eat with your family, not leaving your bed in general. You sent countless nights, playing back memories in your head of the two of you. You questioned yourself so many times, wondering what you did wrong that made him fall out of love with you.
For the first time in a week you checked your social media. Your thumb hovered over Rafe's instagram account. Before you could stop yourself you scrolled through his posts, your grip tightening on your phone you saw all of his posts with you were deleted. Biting your tongue, you didn't hesitate to archive the pictures of you two on your account. Throwing your phone on the end of the bed, you sniffled before clutching onto your pillow.
There were so many chapters that we never got to write, like cereal for dinner and staying up all night.
For your 1 year anniversary, Rafe had bought you tickets to see your favorite band, getting you front row seats. You were forever grateful that Rafe had done that for you, even when you told him he didn't have to do anything so big.
You and Rafe stood side by side, his arm around your shoulder, your hand resting on his chest. Chills were sent down your spine as the crowd screamed and cheered as the band appeared on stage. Rafe shifted you so you were in front of him, your back against his chest.
You shut your eyes in happiness, listening to the crowd sing along to the lyrics. Letting the feeling of euphoria take over your body, you rested your head on his shoulder, holding his hands in place on your waist.
The concert lasted almost 2 hours, making it 3 a.m. when you two returned back to his house. As soon as the both entered your house, Rafe threw himself on your couch, his body exhausted from all the adrenaline. You giggled at your boyfriend, entering the kitchen to make bowls of cereal. Pouring Fruit loops into two bowls, you added the milk and grabbed two spoons.
Plopping yourself next to Rafe's head, you shook the cereal box, his head snapping up to look at which one you grabbed. A dorky grin appeared on his face, sitting up and tucking his legs underneath. "You know what to do." You handed him the remote. He shoved a spoonful of cereal into his mouth before turning the TV onto Spongebob.
I remember where we started, I remember how you looked
Before Rafe asked you on your first date, he asked you to senior prom. He knew you were a sucker for surprises so he gathered his friends to help lead you to the outside bus dock. There Rafe stood with a glass jar in his hands. You walked up to him and read the sign, 'be a smartie and take this dum dum to prom!' In the glass vase was the smarties candies on the bottom, and dum dumb lollipops on top.
Not being able to hold back your smile, you happily said yes to him, earning cheers and whoops from everyone around you.
Once prom actually came around, you never forgot what he looked like. He showed up at your door in a light blue tux, a corsage the color of your dress in his hands. You could easily tell he was nervous, but as soon as he saw you all of his nerves left. "You look… stunning." He exhaled, truly at a loss for words.
"Thank you! You clean up well." You joked, your hand skimming across the hems of his tux. His hand delicately cupped the side of your waist. "You truly do look like a princess."
But now I'm missing bits and pieces from the pages that you took. You didn't give a reason, I'll forever wonder why, we never got to finish the book of you and I.
You snuggled into your blankets, letting out a loud sigh. A soft knock echoed from the outside of your door. "Go away mom." You called out, only to hear another knock and the door opening. You flipped around to see Sarah Cameron standing at the foot of your bed with a box of pizza and plate of cookies.
After you thought you were out of tears, more tears swelled in your eyes at the sight of her. She joined next to you in your bed, holding you in her arms as you sobbed into her chest. Resting her chin on the top of your head, Sarah held you, her heartbreaking to hear your distressed sobs. "Shhh. It's okay, I got you." She mumbled.
"He never told me why," you started as you pulled away from her, wiping your tears on your blankets. "I don't know what I did wrong." You mumbled, picking at your fingernails. "Y/N, you did nothing wrong. Rafe is just an asshole, and I am so, so sorry for everything he's put you through recently."
Sarah slid the box of pizza towards you, a small smile on your face you took a slice and nibbled on the end. "Before I hug you more, I need you to take a shower." Sarah admitted before grabbing a slice for herself. You immediately dropped the pizza, apologizing before running into the bathroom.
Well, I bought a pen and I turned the page. Then I wrote about how I wish you'd stayed. I said all the things that I never got to say. Maybe when it's done, I will feel okay.
You sat at your desk, you thumb anxiously clicking the top of the pen. Your mom had bought you a journal to write down everything that you had going on in your mind. She said it would help you at least organize some thoughts instead of having them jumbled together in your head.
You sighed loudly before writing a letter that you knew you'd never send.
Dear Rafe,
God, I never thought I'd be writing this letter. I never thought we would break up. I never expected you to fall out of love with me. Everything just feels… out of place. You were my safe zone, out of everything that was changing in my life you constantly stayed by my side through everything and  I loved that about you. I wish you were still with me. I don't know why after everything you've done to me recently, but I miss your touch. I miss the smell of your cologne. I miss your cute nicknames for me. I miss watching Disney movies with you. I miss staying up with you. I miss all of you. I never told you this, but I always pictured us getting married. I pictured you proposing to me after like our 5 year anniversary. We would have two kids, you would get to pick where we'd live. I'd get to change my name to Y/N Cameron. My bed feels empty without you. You were my first boyfriend, my first kiss, my first time, my first love, and as much as this hurts now, I am forever grateful you taught me how to love. I love you Rafe Cameron. No matter what.
Love,
Y/N
That he had grown so distant and that his love had shifted. I wish he felt the same.
Sarah finally convinced you to go to the beach with her due to you staying inside for nearly 3 months. You were about to meet Sarah's boyfriend and his friends for the first time. At first Sarah told you that she could cancel on John B, but you refused and insisted on meeting everyone.
You sat next to her on your towel, letting the sun hit your skin. You couldn't help but softly grin at the warm feeling. "Guys! Over here!" Sarah called out. A group of teens walked over to you two, welcoming smiles on everyone's faces. "Guys, this is Y/N. Y/N this is JJ, Kiara, Pope, and my boyfriend John B."
You stood up from your spot and welcomed Sarah's friends with a smile. Kiara on the other hand pulled you into a tight hug. You let out a surprised laugh, hugging the girl back. Sarah had explained to them that you had just had a rough break up and to stay away from the topic.
"You give really good hugs." You admitted, releasing the girl.
The day was going beautifully, everyone was swimming or surfing. You finally felt relaxed, like everything is okay. "Hey! Y/N look at this!" John B randomly shouted. Your head snapped towards him, looking at the shell he had in his hands. You observed it before a familiar voice echoed from further down the beach. Your hands dug into the sand, John B looking down at you with pity in his eyes.
"It's him isn't it?" He softly nodded his head. You squeezed your eyes shut and took a deep breath. JJ appeared by your side, "you want me to teach you how to surf?" Your heart felt warm at his offer. Nodding your head, you followed JJ into the ocean, your eyes not daring to look at Rafe.
Don't tell me that it's over, the book of you and I. Now you've scribbled out my name and you've erased my favorite lines.
After a long day of JJ teaching you how to surf, everybody agreed to get dinner at The Wreck. You jumped out of John B's van, holding the front door to the restaurant open for your friends. You stepped foot into the dining room, only to pause in your steps.
You didn't care that you saw Rafe, you cared that you saw some girl under his arm. Your friends saw the color leave your face, all of them shoving back out the front door. You inhaled and exhaled harshly to prevent yourself from crying. "Hey. hey, come here." Sarah comforted you in her arms, trying your best to maintain your composure. You quickly stepped away from her, "no, no it's okay. I'm okay," you lied, shaking your hands out, "I think I just need to go home."
Kiara nodded her head, "I'll take you home if you want." You shook your head, "no it's okay. I'm just gonna walk home." Sarah's eyebrows raised up. "Y/N that's like an 8 mile walk." You shrugged your shoulders. "I just want to be alone and walking is good. I'll text you when I get home, okay?" Everyone gave you a hug before watching you walk away from them.
The moment you had your back turned on them, you broke down. How could he have moved on so quickly? Was she just a fling or a new relationship? So many questions in your mind, you knew could not be answered.
There were so many chapters that we never got to write, like cereal for dinner and staying up all night.
Rafe gently nudged your body, "psst. Baby, are you awake?" He whispered. You flipped around and faced him. "I haven't been able to sleep at all." You said, your hand immediately finding its place on the side of his face. "Wanna go skinny dipping?" He suggested. You jumped out of his bed as soon as he finished his sentence. He knew you had always wanted to try that, and since his parents were renovating a house that was 6 hours away staying a hotel, he knew this was a perfect time to do it.
You raced him down the stairwell and into his backyard. Quickly stripping, you were left in nothing. You jumped into the water, thankful that the pool lights were off. Rafe jumped in, joining you. You leaned your head back, letting the water sweep through your hair.
Rafe swam up to you, his hands finding your butt as you wrapped your legs around his waist. "I don't know why we didn't do this sooner." You joked, pressing your chest against his. He swiped a stray piece of wet hair away from your eyes, his thumb shifting down to your lips. "Because we both know where this would lead." His thumb skimmed across your bottom lip, allowing you to open your mouth to kiss it.
I remember where we started, I remember how you looked, but now I'm missing bits and pieces from the pages that you took. You never gave a reason, I'll forever wonder why, we never got to finish the book of you and I. Don't tell me, tell me that you're leaving me. My belly hurts and my heart is hardly beating right, I hate to beg, but I'll try one last time.
Dear Rafe,
It's been exactly one year since we broke up. I became friends with some Pogues. I know you'd flip on me if I told you that and we were still together, but they're treating me better than you have towards the end of our relationship. I'm not gonna lie, I still miss you sometimes, most of the time actually. I'm still confused on why things ended the way they did. You've avoided me the entire time, leaving me without a clue and I hate it. I picked at every flaw about myself, trying to figure out if that's why you left. Do you know how mentally draining that is? God, it fucking sucks. I stopped crying over you though. Yeah it hurts my heart when I see you, but I think I wasted all my tears on you. I really don't know why I'm even writing to you anymore, I feel like I told you everything I needed to. I used to beg every day and pray every single night to get you back, and it hasn't happened. But I get it now. You finished our story before I got the chance to finish it myself, and that's just how love works sometimes. I'll never forget you Rafe Cameron, but I'll also never forgive you.
Sincerely,
Y/N

(creds to owner!)
you stared at the window from the bedroom that you and your fiance shared, hoping to see his car somehow make it's way to the driveway. a small sigh escaped your lips as you knew that he wasn't coming home anytime soon, so why waste your time? you grabbed your small maltipoo and picked him up with a small smile, "hungry yunnie?" he wagged his tail while you walked into the kitchen.
you placed him down and made your way to the cabinet next to the kitchen to grab his dog food and poured it into his bowl, and grabbed a water bottle and poured water into his water bowl. once yunnie was fed, you walked to the bathroom to wash your hands before going back to the kitchen where you made dinner. you sat down at the table while you noticed that yunnie moved his bowl next to you, and a smile appeared on your face, "i can always count on you right?" you chuckled while he happily ate his food.
you looked at the clock on the wall and noticed that it was about to be eight o'clock, 'still not here?' you sighed, finishing your dinner and walked to the kitchen where you covered his plate and placed it in the microwave. it has been like this for two months now, ever since he got a promotion from his job he hasn't been coming home at the time he usually comes. the first two weeks you didn't mind because it was his job, then slowly it began to take a toll on you. the only time you could spend time with yuno is seriously on the weekends, and even on the weekends, he is still working. yuno becoming the chief operating officer at the business he worked at was something that you are proud of because he has worked his ass off for it, but you missed spending time with him. both of you knew how major it would be for him to promoted and how much time he would be putting in, but you were willing to stay with him because you thought he knew how to balance it. these two months have been so stressful considering you have been planning the wedding by yourself, the last time you two went to go choose the color of your wedding, he was heavily invested in his phone and told you, "i don't care, just choose a color that would make you happy." which did make you a little upset, because it was supposed to be the two of you together choosing everything, but it turned out to be just you choosing everything.
time passed by and you were nicely showered and in your bed watching some television to help you fall asleep while yunnie laid down next to you, you heard the door close while yunnie jumped off the bed barking, "yes daddy is home." you heard yuno chuckle while he entered the room.
he walked over to you placed a kiss on your cheek before he went into the bathroom. his showers usually last at least ten minutes, you honestly wished you knew why it took him that long, but you couldn't judge him because there would be days where your showers would be longer than his. after his shower, he dried himself off and placed his plaid pajama pants on with a long sleeve shirt and laid down next to you while yunnie ran to his bed instead. he let a sigh out as you scooted closer to him, he wrapped his arms around your waist while he placed his face into your neck, "so i convinced my boss to let me take tomorrow off so we can go cake tasting." he lowly spoke, "that's great, but that means you can't be on your phone working either." he playfully rolled his eyes while he continued to nuzzle his face into your neck.
the next morning you were dressed in a nice sundress that fit your body nicely with cute heels to match while yuno dressed in a nice button-down shirt that matched the color of your dress and his dress pants. you grabbed yunnie and your purse and made sure that everything in the house was nice before you left, "you're going to be spending the day at grandma's house with your friends!" you shouted while yuno backed out of the driveway and drove to your mother's house. after yunnie was dropped off, you two made your way to the bakery to go cake testing. the bakery was so cute and nicely decorated, the smell of the sweets filled your nose as you smiled, "are you ready?" you looked at him, but he was on his phone, "oh yeah." his eyes glued to his phone.
"remember, i said no phone work today..." you trailed off, taking his phone out of his hand and placed it in his pocket.
a small groan left his lips as you took a seat at the booth where the owner of the bakery reserved for you two. you two looked at the booklet and saw the different wedding design cakes that they did, and they were honestly so cute in your opinion that you couldn't choose just one, "we should do two cakes." you looked at him while he chuckled, "two cakes?" he raised an eyebrow, "yeah one that we like and then the other one could be half chocolate and half vanilla." you added as he slightly nodded his head.
"hello!" the baker smiled, taking a seat in front of you two while you smiled back, "thank you for coming on such short notice, we hope that you guys can leave happily." he added, and before you could open your mouth, his phone began to ring, "sorry i have to take this, if this takes longer, we can do what you said." he whispered in your ear before he walked out of the bakery. just like that, your smile fade, but you couldn't let that phase you. you wouldn't think that his phone call would be that long, but then again his is mister c.o.o. so that wouldn't be a surprise. you decided to get [your favorite cake flavor] along with a half vanilla and half chocolate cake. you thanked the baker once again before you joined yuno who was still on the phone, it was pretty obvious that he wouldn't be able to drive so you got in the driver seat and started the car. you thanked your mother for watching yunnie and made your way back home.
what could a business possibly talk about that required him to be on the phone for so long on his off day? you couldn't help but shake your head as you finished making lunch and sat down at the table next to him. yuno placed his phone down with a sigh as he began to eat his food, "that was a long phone call..." you trailed off, "yeah, i might have to go to work tonight." he sighed while you softly chuckled, "what's so funny?" he looked at you, "did you forget that we had reservations tonight because we're supposed to catch up with each other? we haven't spent time and spoke to each other really for two months basically." he was silent, of course, "we can always can the reservations and reschedule." you could feel the irritation building up as you looked at him, "yuno do you not understand that today was supposed to be your off day? i understand that sometimes you need to work on your off days, but you have been working every single off day and we can't even spend time together anymore." you groaned, looking at him.
and once again, he just sat there silent, "i'm sorry yuno but i truly do miss spending time with you, but it seems like your job is becoming your main priority which i don't mind by the way. till this day im still proud of you, but i feel like i'm falling in and out of love with you." you sighed getting up from the table.

Fast Forward Chapter 4
Blurred Lines
Tumblr media
Bastien grabbed Nico, pulling him out into the hallway.
“Nico, I recommended you to be Queen Riley’s guard because I thought you could handle it.”
“I can handle it, I just saved the Queen’s life!”
“Stop playing dumb Nico.  You know what I mean.  The Queen is not a woman you can have.”
“I’m not sure I agree.”
“Have you slept with Queen Riley?”
“No.”
“Have you kissed her.”
“Almost.”
“So also no.”  Bastien laughed.  “You really don’t know her.  If you knew her as well, as I have come to know her, you would know Queen Riley makes her intentions clear.   If she truly wanted you, she would have already had you by now.  The number of times I had to turn a blind eye, as Liam and Riley would think they were sneaking off together, during Liam’s  social season was staggering.”
Nico opened his mouth to speak.
“Before you ask, why I turned a blind eye, I could tell, he really cared for her.  He’d never looked at anyone, the way he looked at her. She looked at him, with the same passion.  I knew, from the moment he went to pick her up from the airport, how nervous and excited he was.  He thought he was hiding her that week.  I’ve never seen someone so happy, and proud to have someone on his arm.  He brought her here for a week, and prayed that she would stay.  She left everything she knew, for him.  If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is.  That’s who you’re trying to drive a wedge between Nico, and I won’t let you continue to do it."
“There’s something there, I felt it from her today.”
Bastien shook his head.  “Nico, I saw the way she clung to you.  It may have felt like she was having romantic emotions for you in that moment… but she wasn’t .  She was afraid, and you were saving her.  Because you’re her guard.  That’s your job.”
" Look at her with him."
“It really doesn’t….”
“I SAID LOOK, GOD DAMNIT!!!!”
He watched Queen Riley with King Liam. He had crawled in the bed with her and was holding her in his arms, in a tight embrace, while she cried on his shoulder. He wiped her tears and kissed her lips. He couldn't hear what he was saying, but he could read Queen Riley's lips.  "I was so scared Liam. I love you. I love you so much. Hold me… don't let go."
Bastien looked once again at Nico. "Does that look like a woman that’s about to leave her husband for you?”

The Life of Riley Chapter 9
Look Who’s Talking Now
**Note.  i’m going to try to start aging Riley a bit each chapter.  I want your honest opinion on this. If it feels too fast guys let me know.  She’s going to be 3 in this chapter.
Tumblr media
When Riley started something, she was full speed ahead.  She didn’t know the meaning of the word brakes. They didn’t expect talking to be any different.  From the beginning when Riley learned the sound of her voice, she would just babble, in her baby language all the time. Day or night.  Sometimes they would wake up in the middle of the night, and Riley would be giggling and babbling.
Riley being three, wasn't tiresome for Ren and Jason.  Two wasn’t terrible.  None of it was terrible.  They were simply happy they had a three year old child.  Riley was so independent for her age.  Riley did everything earlier than planned and excelled at it.
Ren lay in bed watching tv with Jason.   They could hear Riley on the monitor laughing.
“Man I wish there was a Jumperoo for 3 year olds.   But I don’t think it would even contain her.  She’s a workout running around the house.”
“And she’s so smart Jason.  She knows so many words for a 3 year old.”
“Yes she does. You’ve been talking to her like she’s your best girlfriend since we brought her home.”
“I think it’s more than that, It’s so much more than that.  I see 3 year old children daily.  None have her vocabulary, and are able to string sentences together like she can. The only one that came remotely close was a child with an older sibling.”
“She’s our little Einstein, are you really surprised though? Riley has been ahead of every cognitive hallmark, since she was born.”
The next day Ren was off work.  She was making Riley a snack in the kitchen. Riley was coloring when she left.
As she walked out the kitchen with Riley’s sliced apples and grapes and peanut butter, she saw her standing in front of Lucky with her hand held out.
“Sit Lucky,”  Riley said confidently and Lucky sat on her haunches on command.
Ren gasped.  Jason had tried to teach Lucky tricks for years with no luck.
Riley clapped her hands,  “Good Girl.” She patted Lucky’s head, and she licked her face, and Riley started laughing.
"One more?"
Riley looked like she was listening.
Riley put out her hand again, pointing at Lucky. She moved her arm in a loop.
"Lucky! Rolloller!"
Lucky did nothing.
Riley looked again to her left.
"Rol…....oller…….. Roll…....ollver…..roll…..over."
"Lucky! Roll Over!" This time when Riley made the loop with her arm Lucky followed her, rolling over on the floor.
"We did it! We did it Jaiden!"
Ren gasped, slapping her hand over her mouth, dropping the glass she was carrying, it making a huge crash, as it hit the hardwood floor.

Scar Tissue Chapter 10
Aftershocks (Still a while from being released.)
I told you guys this one wouldn’t far from my mind.  I decided to write a little on it to get some ideas going for when I’m really ready to pull it from hiatus again. This is what I came up with so far.  Yes, I am somewhat of an asshole for this pic posted below.  I’m sorry my Drake Stans that like this AU, for disrespecting your man like this.  But this Drake is not your Marshmallow Man... is he?
Tumblr media
Liam was numb. Bastien spoke to Liam; he did not answer. His eyes were still  fixed on Drake's dead body on the floor.  Bastien looked at Riley. Riley placed herself in front of Liam. She softly touched his face. Finally the man with the blue eyes she loved dearly looked down at her, his eyes meeting hers.
"Give me the gun," she whispered.  His grip tightened on it. "Liam it's over. Baby, give me the gun."  The grip in his left hand softened, allowing Riley to take the gun from him. She handed it over to Bastien.
"Nico. Take them through the passages back to their quarters, no one can see the King this way."
Nico nodded. "Follow me, Your Majesties." Riley took Liam's hand and gently pulled him, and he started to follow.
They followed Nico through the passageway,  and at the last turn Nico halted them. " I'll go first to make sure there is no one in the hallways."
Once Nico had given the all clear they headed out.
"I'll be back to collect the King's clothes, yours as well." She looked down at her dress seeing blood on herself.
Riley nodded looking at Liam. He said nothing. She walked Liam into the bathroom turning on their shower.  After a few moments she checked the water to see how hot it was.
She slowly and carefully undressed Liam.  She had undressed Liam so many times before, but this time was different.  It wasn’t sexual, but this was the most intimate moment, she had ever shared with Liam.  He was so completely vulnerable as he stood before her, still covered in Drake’s blood.
" Baby I’m here,” she said softly as she stroked his cheek.

The Blip pt 2. - JJ Maybank
Tumblr media
(Not my gif, credit to the owner!)
Hi lovely! I was wondering if you could write a The Blip part 2 with prompts: 10, 15, 31, and 57? Thanks💓
Summary: You and JJ spend the day together after his return from the blip.
Word count: 1,446
Warnings: cursing
Prompts:
10. “You’ve always felt like home.”
15. “I’ve waited for this moment for a long time.”
31. “This is the part where you ask me out and I say yes."
57. “How could I ever forget about you?”
You woke up, finally feeling like you had gotten enough sleep for the first time in years, because you had. The feeling of having JJ by your side was something you couldn't describe. You felt a new level of security with him, like nothing bad could ever happen to you when he was near.
Attempting to stretch your arms out, you quickly realized that his hand was intertwined with yours, restricting you from pushing your arms out. Tilting your head up to look at him, his eyes were shut and his mouth slightly open. The way the light hit his face highlighted his facial features beautifully. You smiled to yourself as you felt him hold you closer to him.
He inhaled softly before his eyelids slowly fluttered open. "Morning." Your heart raced at the sound of his morning voice, you had never imagined it to sound so raspy. Running your hand through his messy hair, he unknowingly leaned into your touch. "Morning sleepy, get your ass up we're going to the beach." You grinned, throwing the sheets off of him. You approached your window and opened the blinds, a groan coming from the bed.
"Come on J, you've been gone 5 years, you need some sunshine." He slowly dragged himself out of your bed and went to the bathroom to change. Your mind was full of questions and thoughts about this whole situation. You were finally old enough to possibly date JJ, but does he still see you as that young girl he used to babysit?
You quickly threw on your bathing before he returned to the room. "I'm gonna go to my house to get my stuff, I'll be right back." "Do you want me to come with you?" He immediately shook his head, "no, no it's okay I got it. You just… just stay here." He was about to leave your house before you held him back.
"If you want to bring clothes for the week, you're welcome to stay. If- if you want." You mumbled the last three words, this time your cheeks turned pink. He took a deep breath and leaned over, giving you a small kiss on your cheek. You tried to hide your grin as he left your room. Not being able to contain your smile anymore, you exhaled a breath you didn't know you were holding in.
You nodded your head in contentment, trying to ignore the butterflies JJ released in your stomach. After you packed your bag, you sat there in silence, waiting for JJ to return. You rubbed your bottom lip hoping JJ was doing okay with his father. You hadn't heard any yelling or anything breaking so you just hoped for the best. JJ opened up about his home life with his father once, one night when it was really bad. You couldn't help but ask where he got the black eye and bruise from, knowing he didn't get it in a fight with a Kook.
It took him a while to admit it, but he slowly did open up to you about it, it was easier knowing that sometimes you went through the same thing. It killed him that you went through the same thing, he wanted to do anything and everything he could to make you feel safe.
JJ returned in a matter of 5 minutes and swung his bag over his shoulders, running his hands through his hair. "Everything okay?" You asked. He nodded, "he was passed out on the couch, just like he was 5 years ago. But yeah, I'm okay. Let's get to the beach." He sniffled. "You wanna drive?" You asked him, dangling the car keys in your hand. He held his hands out and did a grabbing motion, like a child with a lollipop in front of his face.
He quickly nodded his head as you tossed him your car keys. He skipped to your car before stopping in his tracks before looking at you. Tilting your head he answered your questioning look, "it's so weird to know this is your car and that you drive." You jokingly rolled your eyes before getting into the passenger's seat.
In a small moment, JJ left your house and sped down the roads of the Outer Banks, not caring how fast he was going as he drove with the windows down and the music blasting. 'Are You Bored Yet?' by The Wallows came on, your hand immediately reached forward to turn it up. You stuck your head out the window as you belted the lyrics, letting the cool air run through your hair. You missed JJ turning his head to look at you, admiring the way the wind easily flew through your hair. How the sound of your laugh sounded better than the music itself.
The drive to the beach was short, but it gave you both enough time to sing a few songs together. He parked in a spot and looked at how the restaurants and shops around the beach haven't changed at all. He grinned as he turned the engine off and heard the sound of the waves crashing onto the land.
"God, I missed this." He grinned, jumping out of the car and grabbing his bag. You joined him as he waited in his spot with his hand extending out for you to grab. Intertwining your hand with his, you took him to your favorite spot where not a lot of people go. It was a quiet spot by a pushed over lifeguard post.
You laid out your largest towel and pulled out snacks and drinks for you two to share. JJ stripped down to his bathing suit and ran straight to the water, letting out cheerful shouts and cries of joys as he dove into an upcoming wave. You quickly took your clothes off as you adjusted your bottoms before running to join him in the water.
You two spent hours trying to swim out as far as you could, doing handstands, diving into waves, you name it you guys did it. The two of you ran back up to the sand and plopped yourselves onto the towel. "This no doubt is the best day of my life. I'm so glad to be back home." JJ grinned, throwing his arm around your shoulder as he admired the way the sun reflected off the waves.
"I'm glad! And I'm really glad you're back J, you've always felt like home to me." You grinned, passing him a water bottle before you realized what your last sentence was. "Oh really?" Your cheeks blushed brightly, and he could sell it wasn't just because of your sunburn. You rested your head on his shoulder as he held you close to him.
"This is gonna sound really dumb," you started, "but I couldn't sleep right after you disappeared. I hated that I didn't know where you were, I hated that I had to grow up with you, I hated that I got so scared that you would forget about me." You admitted, feeling like a weight was lifted off your chest. He moved his body to turn and face you, he had confusion written all over his face.
"Wait, I'm sorry you think I would forget you? How could I ever forget about you?" You shrugged your shoulders as you stuck your hands in the sand. "Because I was only your 13 year old neighbor that you took care of."
"You were, but now it's just- I don't know, different. Seeing you grown up and how beautiful you are." You chuckled at his words, seeing how flustered he got after saying it. "You think I'm beautiful?" You tucked a piece of wet hair behind your ear, watching as he leaned in closer to you. "I do."
You finally looked him in the eyes and decided to be bold, "you know, this is the part where you ask me out and I say yes." He grinned at you before leaning in and giving your lips a slight peck. The small touch made goosebumps rise onto your arms. He pushed your hair out of your face and rested his forehead against yours. "I've waited for that moment for a long time." He laughed, pulling back from you.
"I'd assume so, now I wanna know more about your crush on me you had and still have." You shoved JJ backwards and into the sand, jumping to your feet and running towards that water. "Ohhhh you're gonna get it!" He said, picking up sand in his hands and throwing it to your wet back. You felt the impact hit you as you were launched forwards into the waves.
