♡ i feel like he'd really want someone who is comfortable with silence, like being alone together in the same room doing separate things, yet enjoying each others presence. i think quiet time/being able to be around each other while being quiet is important to him, since he has to deal with so much talking in south park in general.

♡ i also think he's want someone who's really stable in his life. like he wouldn't necessarily want a girl who's always mentally stable, but more like he wants to be able to depend on someone especially during harder moments when he's struggling. he’d want to find stability in your relationship.

♡ definitely wants a girl who can take their relationship seriously but also who can kind of be playful at times. since stan is kind of a ticking time bomb, he'll want someone who's kind of also emotionally smart enough to tell when something is off with him because he struggles with expressing those same emotions.

♡ trust. this one is probably the biggest one for stan, he needs stability and trust in a relationship with anyone. he needs to be able to trust you'll be honest with him.

♡ as i'm sure everyone knows, he'd want someone very family oriented! even if you aren't close with your own family, as long as you care about having a family in the future, or are close to his own family i think that's good enough for him.

♡ would also really want someone to be on good terms with his mom and ike, since his dad is fairly easy to get along with and his mom is very much the head of the household - he'd want a girl to get along with her - even if that means looking at his baby photos with her.

♡ also would want someone who might be interested in religion, or at the very least doesn't make fun of him for his own.

♡ looks for communication in relationships, especially if he did something wrong? he’d want to know as soon as it happened. he’s probably a bit worried of losing you, or being abandoned by you because of heidi and that whole situation, so someone who can easily communicate their issues are reassure him everything is okay and stable in their relationship is perfect for him.

♡ i get the impression that his standards are kind of on the floor, with his mistreatment from cartman and heidi both, he just wants someone who won't leave him or make fun of him or his insecurities.

Something big is coming. Initially my mind went to potential kid at button house but the rest of the trailer kind of had me leaning elsewhere to the idea of them having to move? I'll go into more detail but either or of them feel like they could fit for "life changing" as both having a kid and moving houses are massive steps in life. I'm kind of hoping for the former because there could be a really cute story line there but also the latter is where I'm placing most my bets.

I'm feeling like if Cap's backstory is explored here this could be Pat picking fun at him a little on something related to said backstory? Not necessarily but something along those lines. There isn't a lot of context attached to this but I'm kind of hoping it's something like that. It could be nothing though, this line could have been in any season and I would believe you, it is a very them moment. Maybe though its a little exploration of the Cap's sexuality though? I don't personally think he needs one, I think it's better as it is, making it clear that a LGBT character doesn't need to have a whole coming out scene or anything like that to make them valid, more characters who are gay rather than gay characters. I think I've ranted about that before though and how Cap is the kind of rep I want. If it is something like that though, I don't mind, I still love a good bit of rep!

I mean it is what it says on the tin. They are being investigated for the claims regarding the fire. Thus triggers various theories for me, mostly surrounding the fact that that will not go in their favour and will cause financial difficulty but whatever, these claims will control and be the main plot of this series, like how running the guest house was a focus of series 4.

Not entirely sure? Maybe something associated with the previous thing of the fire but whatever it is if it is to do with the fire then maybe some sort of lawsuit is placed against them? MAybe it's assumed that they started the fire on purpose to claim off of it and they're forced to gather money to pay back some kind of fine? I'm not sure of those legalities but it could work and could lead to an ending of them being forced to leave for financial difficulties. On that maybe it's to do with the loans from season 1 that Mike took out and they simply ran short of cash for paying it back. Regardless, it wouldn't be so significant in the trailer if it wasn't important for the series (probably)

... I'm not happy about this but also I am. The clothes, the room dress, this just is a Kitty flashback. Hey maybe it could be Thomas but it couldn't be anyone later. I don't know when the pineapple became more popularised but everyone's shocked, Kitty was shocked at the concept of a pineapple in earlier seasons and just look at what she is wearing. Whatever episode this is in, this has to be the episode where we find out how Kitty dies.

That is likely (and hopefully) me reading too much into things but if so, I'm going to bawl either way. Maybe about Alison and Mike leaving? He's trying to lighten the mood? Or talking about peoples deaths? I know lots of people have said Caps death is probably going to be something very silly and if so this would be a likely appropriate response. Or its him talking about his own death and is one of those things trailers do to make them more editable for adverts as it is the last season, going out with a bang is an appropriate little phrase for them to snip in.

I'm absolutely stuck on this theory that Alison and Mike will be forced to leave Button house at this point, hence Kitty's reaction which would be pretty appropriate, 'nough said.

This feels significant. Like REALLLLLY significant and I can't figure out why. Maybe the framing? I have no clue but currently thinking if it is forced to leave, they had until midnight on a specific day to pay money or if not, maybe the time that the captain died? Maybe he died after being attacked or something while wandering around Button house at midnight and Alison finds out after finding him sleepwalking around the house which he has always done but she's never noticed before. Like how Fanny always throws herself out the window. It would work as well because of the time difference as that clock I believe is about 4 hours behind so if he died at midnight then he'd be walking around at about 4 which would be a bit late for people to be up (ordinarily)

Sorry for how long this was but in summary: I think the gate house burning will cause massive financial problems for Alison and Mike and they will spend the entire season trying to fix these problem but be unsuccessful. We know how heart-breaking this show can be after all. It would lead to a very tragic but very round ending where Alison and Mike are forced to leave via financial difficulties and they are forced to say goodbye to the ghosts and there could be a heart-breaking scene as they pull away and the ghosts run after the car like children following their parents down the road. The though crushes me a little but I feel like the most logical ending is that they have to leave. If that is how it ends though I think the last line should go to Julian awkwardly standing there as everyone's sobbing and he just kind of goes "... Now what?" I don't know why, I just think it would be funny :D

I honestly laughed at your list and while a lot of them come with finding the humor in jack Harlow as a potential boyfriend (which I still don’t know if he’s even capable of that at this point) most of them even the ones that I laughed at were very accurate. I think the fame part will be piece of cake for her compared to everything else. Also didn’t he used to make a joke about liking the idea of having a girlfriend that would “beat the shit out of him”. He definitely needs someone strong enough to compete and with urban and Zion and Nemo and basically everyone in his life. The race thing is something i don’t necessarily feel the most comfortable with because after a while it just started to come off as weird. yes, soulmates/truemates would die if the other passed. we know chris x pretty are soulmates, as are hyunlix x moss. with hyunlix and moss, if two of the throuple remain alive it's very likely that they'll survive for much longer, since they have each other, you know? if two of them die, whoever's left will die of a broken heart. same thing with pretty x chris. i feel like it's obvious that if pretty died, Chris would 100% die of a broken heart. what people might question is what would happen to pretty if Chris died.... pretty is human, but the universe has tied her to Chris, so she'd also die of a broken heart if he died. regular mates wouldn't necessarily die of a broken heart, but it's very likely that they wouldn't mate ever again (it'd depend on the relationship they had, honestly). pack mates usually wouldn't die of a broken heart if one of their own passed.

I know I can’t be the only one who feels weird about the whole Taylor Swift Version thing with some of her songs/albums? I’m no TS fan and get wanting to re-record or do something else with a previously released song, like it’s not that uncommon to find the word “remastered” on some tracks/albums/etc, but from what I've gathered, it's coming across very much like TS wasn't aware that she wouldn't own the rights to the mastering or the recording and that she would only own the rights to the lyrics if she wrote the songs and the vocals by going to a recording studio to put it simply? If you don't know much about releasing songs, I get that you're not necessarily going to understand the ins and outs of it, I definitely didn't a few years ago, and I'm aware she was kinda young when she started out so I get why at the time she wouldn't know, but she's been in the industry long enough to understand that she wasn't the one who recorded or mastered those things before the Taylor version?

Like I said, I'm no TS fan and this is coming from an outsiders perspective but it seems almost bratty. I get that there were apparently some things going on which is apparently why she did the Taylor Versions of albums, but at the same time there seems to be something else that I can't quite place my finger on. I saw a post on instagram about how TS sent Kelly Clarkson flowers and the vast majority of the comments was basically along the lines of women supporting women and women empowering women predominantly by what I can only assume are TS fans and it felt very weird. I don't mind some of her songs, it just doesn't sit right with me about the way her and her fans (at least the hard core fans) are going about the recording and remastering thing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing either of those things, but it's just the stuff surrounding it that doesn't sit right with me

I saw your post about Bor'Dor and people wondering if there's a Twist of some kind and you mentioned Veth being one of the least popular characters for CR in passing. I think you talked about it elsewhere as well, and I had recently realized *why* I never really gave her a lot of thought. Because on paper she should be one of my favourite characters that I relate to the most--I read her comic and had a moment of "oh, I should really go back and reevaluate this character because damn". I took some time to think about it and I realized that, for me at least, the reason I never really gave her a lot of thought was kind of because of Sam, or at least the way he plays at the table. I find his antics distracting at best and grating at worst. I still mute his section of the ads whenever I watch because something about his energy just doesn't vibe with me. And like, I do love the moments where he does get serious and has a really good dramatic scene, but then a few minutes later he does something that takes me out of it again. This is of course, something that's a me thing, not a him thing. I'm fully aware of the fact that it's his game and he gets to play however he wants. Hell, if the others had an issue with it, they wouldn't have played with him in the first place. So I fully understand that it's just my own personal preferences regarding the type of humour and energy I respond to. But it is something I noticed after giving it some thought. I have hope with the Mighty Nein animated series I'll get to enjoy Veth's story a little more, since that was what happened with Scanlan (I went back to watch campaign 1 after watching LOVM, and I am having a hard time getting past the stark differences). So yeah, that's kind of the reason I never connected with Veth as much as I probably should have. I don't know if other people have the same views, but I'd be interested to hear why you think other don't like Veth (or at least don't respond to her as much as they do the other characters/players).

Anon, I am...not sure why you sent this. It feels like it really misses my point, and it's not something I can address. I've brought this up before but like, I don't always connect with the themes Sam tends to engage with, but I feel that when I've criticized his characters on other bases someone always brings up how they don't vibe with his sense of humor and like, cannot relate, can never relate, I actively enjoy the ASMR ad, and I don't know why I get unrelated Sam criticism - especially about his sense of humor, which is like...not even particularly weird or unusual nor excessive for the table. This is something that really needs to be a post you make on your own blog rather than an anon ask to someone who is getting a little weirded out that this keeps happening.

But I think more importantly my point is not "everyone needs to love Veth". There are plenty of reasons why Veth might not be someone's favorite character, and also it is completely valid to dislike a character based on your pet peeves! If you don't vibe with Veth as a character or Sam as a player, you are not obligated to try to rewire your brain to make it happen. But I do find it incredibly telling that "this character is secretly another race" pops up constantly as a popular theory, and then when a player actually took care and built a character based on that premise with all the implications it entailed, it was a comparatively unpopular choice. My point is "a lot of theories that hinge on there being some Big Twist Reveal really boil down to 'waaaah i think humans are boring and I play a kalashtar so I want someone else to play a kalashtar' without actually engaging in what the narrative would necessarily need to be to support this," and I find that a very, very strong argument against many of those theories as a result.

Three separate stories, each showing the characters in qn returning to the 'real world' after the Hidden Peril / Fantastic Compass questline.

The first two I only have the broad strokes of: Yanfei has dinner with Itto and Shinobu, tries to process the near not-quite-death experience she just had. It's so far removed from her everyday experience and she doesn't know what to feel about it. And she's fairly sure she doesn't want to go home to an empty flat, so... well, perhaps if she's upfront with Shinobu about her motivations...?

Yelan isn't even going to get started on Itto's idiot move back there, because Xiao. Xiao. Yelan has seen far too many people die senselessly. Yelan knows damn well how dangerous the valorisation of self sacrifice is. Yelan is horrified that she couldn't stop him in time, that if it wasn't for some freak miracle, Xiao would have died, and that stupid determined-serene face of his would be the last thing anyone would have seen of him.

Yelan wanders aimlessly. Eventually she goes back to one of her old safehouses, the place where she first got her Vision.

Zhongli is the one I have the most written for. A few excerpts:

"You're not due back in until next week."

Ah. The front desk wasn't empty. The Director's voice was coming from somewhere behind the stained pine counter. It took Zhongli a moment to spot the woman herself: with her hat on, her head down, and surrounded by stacks of paperwork on all sides, she was almost invisible from the doorway.

"Good evening, Director Hu," said Zhongli, with a nod of his head.

"So what happened? You can't have run out of places to vacation to... did your knee go bad, old man?, or..."

The Director glanced up from her paperwork to look at Zhongli. She squinted, and her expression flitted from bored whimsicality to confusion, then worry, then an inexplicably mournful look, before returning to bored whimsicality again, but now her eyes were sharp—all in the space of two seconds.

"Yueru, Yanhu," Director Hu called out, getting the junior undertakers' attention, "you've been at those boxes for hours. Call it quits for the day."

"We're close, Director!, just the last three left—"

"Don't care. Come deal with it tomorrow. It's getting late and I don't feel like babysitting you kids."

Director Hu waited for the undertakers—both at least a decade older than her—to file out, then crossed the room to lock the door behind them.

Her eyes, deep and dour, had not left Zhongli the entire time, and now the rest of her face grew serious to match.

"Well, you look like you've had a day," she said. "Wanna talk about it?"

and:

"I wouldn't call it a 'cost'," said Zhongli. "An expenditure of... something I cannot get back so easily these days—"

"Because you quit your old job?"

"—indeed. And were I still playing that role, such a choice might have necessitated more calculation, for all that the act itself would have been easier. But today it was simply... my choice. Made quite freely."

"And so you shaved off a little of your own vitality to preserve someone else's." Director Hu smiled gently. "A noble deed, done by a free man. Very poetic."

Zhongli nodded. "I suppose."

"And yet," she continued, "you find yourself here in the halls of the dead." The tea was ready: she poured for them. "Now, why do you suppose that is?"

"Are you suggesting I'm in grief?" said Zhongli, raising his brow.

A Locked Tomb theory I don't think I've seen, though my tag browsing has been by no means comprehensive:

As a preface, @onefleshonepod made this reply-post recently about the population attrition in TLT possibly being because resurrection requires a ten-to-one soul loss. This does track with the fact that everyone is VERY clear that resurrection has a great and terrible cost, but I have a counterpoint. I just don't want to keep hijacking the original post they leapt off from because it's good and not at all related to this, so I'm making this its own thing.

So, after John's interludes in Harrow-Nona's dreams, I had a truly cursed thought: this wasn't the first time he resurrected them. He talks openly of modifying their memories, and what is history except the memory we choose to keep?

The objects Palamedes scries in Gideon chapter 12 are several thousand years apart in readings, despite appearing that they should be the same age. We know John's power is pretty incredible. We know he resurrected his friends at least once. But what if he kept altering the molecular age signature on the House so that they wouldn't get suspicious, but occasionally missed a spot, or got incomplete coverage every time?

Sure, we know that this set has existed for ten thousand years since the last Resurrection. We are given here the fact that Pal can't scry anything older than that ten thousand year limit accurately, under normal circumstances. But what if John put Canaan House, or the whole of Earth, into necromantic stasis after the RBs started to attack? Right around the time, say, that Alecto was put in stasis herself?

The deciding factor, for me, is that one of the things Pal scries is just fifty years old. We've already been told that nobody's been here in that time frame to the present except maybe the constructs like Teacher. They wouldn't have been leaving random young objects around in corners near the hatch to the testing area.

But that doesn't explain why some objects there might be three and nine thousand years old, when supposedly the place was only opened up after the Resurrection and closed up within about a thousand years and has sat unoccupied for the nine thousand years since.

So it is that I propose that John required at least 8000 years of resurrecting the system, losing some to attrition as the cost of the repeated efforts, perhaps 10% of the total each time. I don't know what circumstances might have led to their repeated failure, but I can't help but feel this is a viable possibility, from the way he talks about the first Resurrection, and how the events leading up to it differ from what the Lyctors told us in Harrow.

The primary evidence I can find against this amounts to "Pyrrha remembers G-'s deadname in Nona" which isn't even necessarily against my theory, if John isn't as good at memory wiping as he thinks he is, just like he's not as good at changing the age signature of Canaan House as he thinks he is.

Then, nine thousand years of stasis threw off the dating again, like if you had an object from a thousand years ago and brought it forward in a time machine, the carbon dating would be all wrong and show it to be brand new. But I feel like the population loss is down to both repeated resurrections and possibly that necromancy poisons the people in contact with it, so that all the Houses are slowly withering in population, which concentrates the necromantic power in those still living.

I think, though, that to John, the greatest cost of the Resurrection isn't the souls themselves, exactly. In part, I think it's the feeling of power as he channels it through himself and then has to let it go. In part, he still loves the Earth in his own toxic way, and burning her up slowly may, figuratively or literally, cause him pain. It's also possible that he's had a reduction in his capabilities since the first time, since he's burned off so many souls and so many of his resources. Maybe the cost of using power is realizing it's finite, and his gig is 90% done.

Lately I can't stop thinking about Elinor Dashwood.

People tend to not like S&S as much as P&P or Persuasion or even Emma, and I get it. I can't claim that S&S is my favorite or even second-favorite Austen novel. But God. Elinor.

Elinor spends the entire fucking novel having to put aside what she wants in order to do what's best for the people she loves. She is "the comforter of others in her own distress, no less than theirs." She chooses to give counsel in a gentle way, and often bites her tongue because she knows the person in question won't listen to her, choosing instead to be a supportive, safe place.

The big contrast, I think, between Elinor and Marianne when we view them through the modern lens (that is, if one were to update S&S for an adaptation that took place in the 21st century) would be that Marianne says and does what she wants in the moment and Elinor doesn't, because Elinor doesn't just think about her anger, or her desire, or her pain, or her joy, in that moment. She thinks about what happens the moment after that. And the day after that. And the week after that.

Elinor wants to tell Edward she loves him. She wants to do it more than anything, especially since she has reason to suspect he returns her feelings. But she also knows that whatever relief comes from telling him in the moment, the next day and the day after and the day after that are going to be painful for him and for her. She might cause Edward to break off his engagement to Lucy, which would financially ruin Lucy (remember, in those days a marriage was an economical decision as well as an emotional one), ruin Lucy's reputation, ruin Edward's, and probably cause resentment between all three in time. Elinor is aware of the consequences of her actions and the potential pitfalls in a way that Marianne isn't.

Elinor's just. She's so fucking responsible, and she's so fucking loving. She's the mom friend in your group who makes sure everyone has what they need and gets home safe at night. She's the friend who is always there to pick up the phone when you call. She's the friend who bails you out of jail, who holds your hair while you vomit your hangover into the toilet, and firmly but lovingly calls you out when you fuck up.

And she gets shit for it.

She gets her own sister calling her "cold" and "heartless." She's told she's "without feeling" by the person who should know her best. She sticks up for Marianne through all of Marianne's mistakes (that nearly ruin not only Marianne but their whole family). In the 21st century I'd say Marianne did the equivalent of nearly having an affair with her married boss. Sure, it wouldn't necessarily be Elinor's fault if Marianne had gone ahead and done it, but people would probably judge Elinor anyway (thinking Elinor was the same or Elinor should've stopped her) and at the very least would've gossiped about it in every room Elinor was in for the next decade.

And when Elinor finally has enough, and tells her sister this behavior isn't okay and she needs to fix it, Marianne tells her she thinks Elinor doesn't have a heart. Elinor who has spent the whole novel taking care of everyone except herself, Elinor who has been kind to people who don't deserve it (Lucy Steele, arguably Miss Jennings), Elinor who has been beating herself up constantly for not just any behavior that falls short of her own ideals for herself but for her very thoughts in her head.

Elinor is SO hard on herself guys, she's constantly berating herself. She calls it her "self-command" but really it's an endless litany of self-scrutiny where she more often than not finds herself coming up short, and criticizes herself as a result.

I can't stop thinking about the quote from the 1995 film, which was paraphrased from Ch. 37 in the novel. It's when Marianne tells her sister she's without feeling and is shocked that Elinor reveals how she's been grieving for months over her inability to marry the man she loves. In the book the quote goes,

"Then, if I had not been bound to silence, perhaps nothing could have kept me entirely--not even what I owed to my dearest friends--from openly shewing that I was very unhappy."

In the movie it became:

"Believe me, Marianne, had I not been bound to silence I could have provided proof enough of a broken heart, even for you."

Elinor's hurting. She's hurting badly, she's actively in grief and she can't even talk about it with anyone because if she does, she's breaking someone's trust and confidence. Elinor is the friend who gets in trouble with her parents because she won't say where she was, since it'll reveal things about a friend she promised to keep secret. Elinor is the person who stays silent and lets people think the worst of her rather than badmouth someone. Her integrity, and her principle of honoring the feelings of others, means more to her than her own happiness, or even her own reputation.

I don't know, guys. I think we tend to value Marianne more, and behave more like Marianne - we value "sensibility." The person who shows the most emotion is the person whose opinion is most valuable. Especially in this age of social media where we're trained to bare it all, and the person who performs their hurt the best is the person whose pain is the most valid, I can't stop thinking about Elinor. Elinor's privacy, her sense of honor, and her selfessness are written off as coldness and a lack of caring, when the novel takes pains to show us she feels more than Marianne or anyone else in the story.

I just really love her, guys. I really love Elinor Dashwood, and I think she's a lot more relatable than many of us give her credit for being.

This is something I've been asking myself, but can you tell me everything the brothers Carla and Shin did wrong throughout all the games in and out of their routes? I've been wondering about this recently, sorry if this is sudden to ask...

Hi anon, while I do know quite a lot of Carla and Shin's routes off the top of my head, I'm not quite as good with all of the other Dark Fate routes and there are still routes in CL I haven't played that I don't really want to spoil for myself if I can avoid it. In order to do what you're asking, I'd basically have to go through every single DF and CL route and double check their LE routes (which admittedly I know a little too well but I do generally like to double check things). To my memory Lunatic Parade doesn't contain them doing anything particularly bad aside from Shin picking on some of the guys but if you were to do a really thorough job it wouldn't hurt to check those too.

I'm afraid that is a monumental amount of work that I'm really not willing to commit to for the sake of a single ask, especially as what I qualify as bad enough to make the list might not necessarily be the same as you or someone else. If you genuinely want to know all of the things Carla and Shin have done, then honestly I would suggest you read their routes for yourself as all of the DF routes have been very kindly translated by @dialovers-translations (who has put an incredible amount of work into her blog over the years) and their LE routes have also been translated and you can find links to them on @vampirerosemary's incredibly useful masterlists.

Now if you're asking this because you're not particularly comfortable with dark content and want to know whether to avoid DF or not, I'm afraid I would honestly suggest just not engaging with any of the main games and instead focusing on the bonus drama CDs and Lunatic Parade which is much more fluffy. I know some will say you shouldn't ignore the darker aspects of the series but at the end of the day, it's just fiction and looking out for your own well-being matters more than berating yourself for not engaging with all of the content.

On the other hand, if you're asking this just to measure how "bad" Carla and Shin are compared to the other guys, I'll cut to the chase. Literally all of the diaboys are problematic in one way or another (and even Yui can be in some of the bad endings) so I honestly don't think trying to find a "least bad" is really all that meaningful, especially as you may consider certain actions to be far worse than someone else (for example I actually found Shuu's HDB route to be way more off-putting than Laito's, which as far as I can tell, is a very uncommon opinion).

I have said before that I think out of all of the boys, Azusa is the least malicious but even then he's hardly a saint.

However, I don't think there's any use in feeling guilty about fangirling over the diaboys even though they've all done bad things. I think if you're mature enough to properly engage with some of the themes that feature in DL, then you should be able to distinguish reality and fiction. As long as you understand that irl you should run for the hills from anyone who acts like the boys, there's nothing wrong with having fantasies with dark elements if that's what you enjoy.

Another thing I want to just say while I have the chance that I saw mentioned many years ago but seems to have been forgotten about is this idea of choice. So, in game, particularly the early games, Yui does not have a chance to consent to what the boys do to her, and if you look at it from that perspective, DL is pretty much entirely a horror story (it's one of the reasons why I don't particularly enjoy writing Yui x diaboy scenarios versus reader x diaboy material).

However, the thing you have to take into account is that you, either through listening to the CDs, or playing the games, or reading the translations are effectively giving your consent to keep the scenario going and see what happens. At any point, you have the ability to take out your headphones, or turn off your console or stop reading, make up some ending in your head and never think about the series again. At the end of the day, the person in charge isn't the boys, or Yui, or even Karl, it's you.

Now I know some people prefer to view the player as being completely passive (i.e. Yui is her own character and we're just helplessly watching her story), but the fact of the matter is that in the games, that straight up isn't true, our decisions control the ending. And like I said, if anything comes up that makes you uncomfortable, you can just stop playing, and I would recommend you do at that point, especially if you're not too clear on what your own limits are when it comes to consumption of dark material.

Anyway what I am trying to get at here? Basically, the reason why you can enjoy DL as a dark fantasy is because at any point, you can disengage from it. If you find yourself reading DL and just getting upset about bad things happening to Yui, it's not that those feelings aren't valid, but honestly you are far better off taking a step back, maybe writing her a happy ending yourself if you enjoy writing, and then leaving it be. Please do not read things that only upset you, life is too short to inflict misery on yourself.

Anyway I'm sorry this isn't what you asked for anon, but hopefully it has at least been some use to you.

As a result of his experiences, Forwin's horizons when it comes to food are... pretty broadened, compared to others. There is the matter of his noble upbringing so a lot of the meals he ate at the time were, of course, of high quality make. However, he did also manage to tour a good chunk of Fódlan, and had been exposed to a wide variety of dishes! Meals among commoners! Foods from the other nations!

And since beggars couldn't be choosers when he dropped down to a lower class and took to the road, along with a developing palate, Forwin already has a pretty good idea of what sort of foods he does enjoy and doesn't. He likes his foods flavourful and savoury, and loves to indulge in the odd sweet... but, hilariously, despite growing up close to the Adrestian coastline, he is not fond of fish (the same goes for sour foods). If he's to consume any sort of dish with fish in it, there better be enough of other items on his plate to offset it... or at least crisp up the fish somehow.

That might have something to do with the stench of fish churning his stomach. Perhaps something related to his Crest making him sensitive to certain odours? Or is it just a matter of personal preference? Maybe he just doesn't like the texture in his mouth? Who's to know!

I wouldn't say he has any one insult that stands out, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for him either.

Because of how he was raised, Wyndell von Gerth got... really good at keeping to himself from young. That meant no speaking out of turn, no raising his voice, no talking back, and no whining off to anyone about nonsense. He grew up quiet and compliant... but, keep in mind, he was groomed to be the next Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Adrestian Empire. That's not small potatoes!

So, while Wyndell couldn't dissent from his father, he still picked up a few important skills in diplomacy and tact. He certainly picked up the vocabulary for it! Then on top of that, he ran from home and ended up in the care of a theatrical troupe! Yes, it did wonders in undoing a decent portion of the damage over the course of a couple of years on the road, and really helped him flourish as his own person. But it is with them he started to find his footing as a bard.

The education of a budding politician, mixed with a love for music and poetry, on top with the aplomb of a showman? It takes time for something to truly grow from this cocktail, well past the Academy Phase and his early days in the realm of Nohr, but by the time Forwin matures and returns to Fódlan? Watch out, chiefly to those who lord themselves over others, or insist on a completely wrong idea about himself or others, or people who are just plain awful!

By default, Forwin has a kind heart and won't seek to insult others with no good reason. He does not like conflict, and works to avoid it at all if it can be helped! However, if you succeed in drawing his ire and he feels confident enough in his own skin to stand up to you (ESPECIALLY in his later years), get ready for the dressing down of your life. This songster will mince no words and no sass in expressing how much he vehemently dislikes you, all while picking apart the reasons why!

How closely is their opinion of their own beauty (or lack thereof) linked to their confidence? Do they see themselves as more or less worthy of love or sex based on how attractive they feel?

I don't think she really thinks about it that much on a daily basis. As in, she doesn't wear make up or do her hair more than tie it with a hair-tie (even if it'd be half-up, because it's merely tying a portion of the hair behind her head with a hair tie), but she tries to look "presentable". So, she is confident without "getting herself ready" aside of the minimum of brushing and tying her hair and using moisturizer. However, after giving birth when there is a drastic change having happened to her body, which does put her down. Because she doesn't look the same anymore and it will take time for her skin to become at least a bit more firm, though it will never be the same again. And it's during this time period that she is a lot less confident about herself, because she does want to look "nice". It's also during this time that she doesn't feel as attractive as she used to be. But she'll get over it, because she'll get that affirmation that she is loved. And attractive. She doesn't cross into the "I'm not worthy of love" territory though. It's just uncertainty that settles into her mind for some time.

Does your OC find it easy to make friends? Or are there barriers to them doing so? If so then are these due to issues of inclination, communication, or something else entirely?

She can form friendly relations relatively easily yes, but becoming a good friend of hers, who she'd ask for a cup of tea or just to spend time with, can take time. She will most likely entertain an invitation though if she likes someone, because you need to spend time with people to connect. It's more so a matter of simply spending most time with the people she connects with the best. As in, many people have "best friends", then friends, then acquaintances. So, she wouldn't say that she struggles to make friends no. It's just that she forms those deep bonds only with a few, despite being able to be friendly, or "pals" with a lot of people.

Philia 3

What qualities does your OC most value in a friend? Loyalty? Shared sense of humour? Or something else?

Loyalty is high up on the list, but also the willingness to understand both sides of the argument/other people. She doesn't mind a discussion where both parties would have differing view points, as long as it doesn't cross into the territory of "you have to believe what I believe". It's eye opening to be able to have that discussion and it'll bring both parties closer to another in any case most likely. Humour I would say is also quite important, because you need to be able to share jokes that you both find funny. She would also put "responsible" on the list, because though it might not affect her directly, it allows for something to connect over; similar work-morals.

Is your OC able to love without necessarily needing or expecting reciprocation or reward? Or are all their relationships to some extent transactional? Have they ever loved another person unconditionally, whether a child or another adult?

Ideally she would be loved in return, but whenever she loves someone she doesn't think about having to get something in return. It's not a "if I do this, I should get this in return". But also if she doesn't feel loved in a relationship, she doesn't see a reason to keep investing emotions into it. However, she does love her kids unconditionally, because of... just how she is. And she understands that while raising kids, it's your job to guide them in that emotional maturing process. She's not going into her relationships with expecting something as a reward, but she's also a reflective person, so if someone shows genuine love for her (generally speaking) she will show more love to them in return.

Nora has a sense of wonder for the world, but she's not particularly spiritual per se. Curiosity, I would say. And she does like nature more than city life, but that doesn't mean that she'd be against living in the city. However, nature walks and camping trips do bring her a lot of joy.

Who was your OC's first crush? How do they feel about it now?

She hasn't had a crush (not that I have thought about it yet at least ^^' ). But how she would feel about it would greatly depend on who it was. Most likely she would end up saying something like "it was so stupid tho," with a mutter. She'd be a bit of a tsun, really

Who is more jealous? Ethan or your MC? Tobias or your MC?

Interesting.

With Ethan and Casey, I would say it is more a mutual type of jealousy with a touch more on the Casey's side. After seeing how Harper and Ethan are together when reminiscing, Casey would be suffering horribly with insecurities and doubt. She would be jealous of the inside jokes and touches Harper is known to do. We know that Harper knows that Ethan has feelings for Casey, so her continuing to touch and joke is in my opinion rather petty on her part. Go find your own man to do that to😂

Casey wouldn't have held it in either. She'd have gotten Ethan alone and told him exactly how those little interactions made her feel. I think he'd be in denial since he doesn't feel that way about Harper anymore and then point out my Casey's relationship with Bryce and Rafael (especially since my MC would hook up with them when Ethan kept pushing her away 😬). There would be some heated words exchanged before the two finally voiced why they felt so insecure: after having to wait so long to finally be together, any flicker of someone coming along to upset their chance to be a couple would scare them.

With Tobias and Chris, here again I think it's mutual, yet more so on Chris's side. Given Tobias's past as a ladies man, Chris would easily get irritated when running into his former one night stands and such. It's not that she necessarily doubts him nor her ability to keep his love, more that she sometimes wonders how he fell so hard for someone like her when meeting the women he used to pursue.

She had a hard time accepting that his relationship with June had been strictly sexual, so much so that she did all she could to make him forget about her one night. It's not that she resents his past, she is simply scared that he'll one day want to go back to his old ways of handling relationships.

Tobias already knows about her tumultuous past with Ethan. Knowing Chris waited for over a year in the hopes that Ethan would agree to be with her, stings to say the least. He wonders at times if she would have done the same for him. He knows he has her heart for his own, but he can't help but think about what might happen if Ethan came to his senses and truly went after her. Would she leave him for Ethan?

He tries not to think about it, yet everytime he sees her alone with Ethan, he can't help but worry. He'll often find a way to join their conversation or at the least let her see him walk by. He'll wink at her in the hopes that his flirting will remind her that she's his, just in case Ethan is making her doubt.

1. Does your character have good aim? Dee has pretty good aim! Her dad taught her gun use and safety from a young age. She gets in a she keeps in a safe by her bed once she's 18, and she desperately regrets not bringing it to the Upside Down lmao. I imagine she'll change that for whatever happens in s5. That being said, I think she's probably not as experienced with guns as Nancy is, as she uses hers maybe once a year just to keep herself from getting rusty before.... *gestures at the plot of the show* all that.

2. What would history remember your character for? Idk what she'd be remembered for overall, but i feel like she'd like to be remembered for doing her best to keep everyone safe from the horrors of the Upside Down. and, deep down, she probably wants to be remembered for telling Vecna to fuck himself to his face(i want this to happen but we shall see how the final season goes!). she at least got to do it to the Mind Flayer, so that was something lol

Dee almost always has music of some kind playing, be it from headphones when she's around others or on stereo when she's alone. if she's by herself or with VERY certain people(Eddie, eventually Steve and Robin), you can also catch her dancing to whatever she's got playing as she goes about her day.

4. Has your character ever been handcuffed or tied up? She's never been handcuffed by the law! She likes to brag that unlike Danny and Eddie, she's never been flat-out caught doing punk shit(being spotted is another story entirely). As for in other contexts? Probably eventually, lmao. I do headcanon Eddie as a bitchless loser, but i also headcanon that he's probably one of those dudes who, once he finally gets a girlfriend, he wants to try ALL kinds of stuff lmao. it's not off the table but i havent gotten that far yet haha

5. Can your character cook? Dee is a great cook, and makes most of the meals in both her own household(s) and in the Munson household, once she starts spending more time there. She begins bringing the Munson men Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday dinners in the first year she's in Hawkins, and it becomes a tradition going forward. She makes everything save for the turkey/ham(respectively), which are made by her dad.

6. Who did your character look up to as a child? She's always looked up to her brother the most, especially when she was younger. She definitely had a bit of younger sibling idolization going on. She's just always admired his free spirit and his bravery, and later on, once he gets more serious about growing up and not being a menace all the time, she's incredibly proud of him for choosing a career that helps others.

Also, not directly related but close enough in topic to bring up, she does have several posters/magazine clippings in her room of musicians she thinks are hot(not quitethe same as "looking up to them" but FUCK IT WHATEVER LOL). Some of them include Robert Plant, Kelly Nickels, Nikki Sixx, Dave Mustaine, Eddie Van Halen, and Jon Bon Jovi(which Eddie makes fun of her for CONSTANTLY when he finds out).

7. Do any of your characters have depression? I wouldn't necessarily say Dee has depression, but I do think she is a very lonely person when she first moves to Hawkins, and it takes quite a bit for her to open up to others, so that doesn't help much either. Becoming friends with Eddie, and eventually the younger Hawkins group(during her stint working at the arcade) and Steve and Robin(after the events of s3 obvs) helps her come out of her shell quite a bit. Thought, that does obviously change pretty dramatically with Eddie's death.

8. Who has the worst luck? I'd say Dee has pretty shit luck for the fact that she only gets about five months in canon with her and Eddie actually going steady lmao. i always have to hurt my OCs in some way :D

Just quick notes: the YSL shows. He's just been in one when at this point, other years, he's been in at least two or three. Leaving the SAG-AFTRA strike aside, cos maybe he hasn't gone because of it or maybe it isn't related.

I'm not surprised either that she's a fat phobic and even a racist cunt. Some of the people who are into fitness are like that, as you already stated. I read in on e of her interviews, that she doesn't usually eat much, that there're days she just survives with coffee and that food is only her fuel for her fitness stuff. It smells like an eating disorder right away.

And last : i don't think Jamie is into satanist and weird stuff practice, i think he's just interested in it, he likes to read about it and then use it for his craft. I think all fan of horror like him are like that. I am.

And she might be doing some of those odd practices, maybe a spell or a hex or i don't know, cos it's not normal that Jamie is that blind. Perhaps things are not like that and we're only conspiracy theorizing? Cos i can't believe a guy as smart as him doesn't seeher the way she is or refuses to do so.

I give them maybe another year or other couple of years. It depends on when ST 5 is gonna be released, so she can benefit from all of the red carpets, interviews, cons and such. Or until she finds a better and bigger fish to sink her teeth into.

Why would he credit her for the photos? I doubt she was the photographer herself and she certainly does not work for Vogue. I suppose the only reason to credit her would be that she booked him the gig and if that's the case then she is managing him in some way. That's disheartening.

I read that as well, a lot of her "tips" and "tricks" for fitness seem excessive and toxic, completely unhealthy. You cannot possibly be a good runner, triathlete, or whatever she was trying to portray back then by not eating. Food is fuel. That's why people carbo load, do keto, etc. Whatever diet works for them. Not eating is the problem and if she's saying that she's not a fan of food (especially while in training) that screams eating disorder or some level of disordered eating. I'll have to go back in and see what I can find to post here for others to read.

As I've said, and fully agreed, we don't know what's going on. However, at the same time do not underestimate the power of manipulation a narcissist has over their subject if that is what's going on. If she uses gaslighting tactics or any other sort of emotional or physical abuse to cause him to remain submissive and dependent then he may not notice, he may think he's the problem, he may think he needs her, he may think he's lucky to have her, etc.

She could make a whole fuss about how he's difficult and awful and she's the only one who would ever put up with him because he's so fucked up. Since she got him on the rebound of a relationship that seemed to really mess him up she could have potentially preyed on that, made him feel entirely worthless only to build him back up in her own way by saying that she loves him even if he is a wreck. Women do this just as much as men and should not be discounted.

Emotional and psychological abuse is just as detrimental or more than physical. Plus, I did catch one of the videos he liked on IG and it says to me he may be considering that he's a victim of this type of behavior from Jess because of what the video contains. Could it all be a random coincidence? Yes. Circumstantial? Sure. But I'd say that there's a lot of decent evidence to show that she is not this great person that certain parts of the fandom are driven to make her out to be.

1.what do you label your muse as, and how do they label themselves? is there a difference, and if so, why? I describe Katrina as queer, because that's how she describes herself, and also because her identity is a bit hard to explain in simple labels. She knows that she's interested in men and women, she's open to other genders, but she usually represses attraction due to past trauma. She could be described as demisexual or demiromantic, but I don't feel like that's 100% fitting either. Her sex drive is also prone to fluctuate, but I'm not sure if she's necessarily on the asexual spectrum.

12.what are your muse’s feelings towards stereotypes relating to their identity? do they affect their self-image, or how they perceive others? She very much dislikes both ends of the sapphic stereotype spectrum - she is very uncomfortable with being sexualized, but she refuses to comply with a "sweet and innocent" image. She also tends to roll her eyes at the whole "man-hating-feminist" cliche, and occasionally jokes about it. But she's never been one to conform to the images that were set for her, so breaking stereotypes isn't something that shakes her self-image much anymore. She even takes some pride in it. And given her own negative experiences with them, she tries not to stereotype others either.

15.if the thing that originally caused them to realise / start the chain reaction to realising they weren’t cishet had not happened, how much longer would it had take to end up here? It would have still happened, with some delay, but it still would have happened in her teenage years nonetheless. She'd had feelings for years, it was more just a matter of actually being pushed into the realization, and especially with the fact that Ariane realized she was a lesbian around the same time it wouldn't have taken her much longer to figure it out.

17.how are their feelings towards pride and related phenomenons? She might not always go, but she thinks they're fun! They're not always her scene, but she appreciates their existence nonetheless. Especially growing up in a place where she couldn't really talk about it - at least, not without harsh criticism - she enjoys being able to see it so openly expressed. Though, she has a special place of hatred in her heart for rainbow-capitalism.

21.what words do they reclaim, what are they okay with being reclaimed, and what do they do not want to used to describe them? I mean, you could say she reclaims queer, though in the German language queer isn’t really a thing like it is in English. In German, she likes the terms Adamstocher and Kesser Vater, even if they haven’t really been considered that derogatory in recent years. And she finds “Tiefseeforscherin” very amusing. She’s fine with other people choosing to reclaim words, even if she doesn’t personally reclaim them. For some people, it can be a source of power or something positive and she understands that. But in terms of things she’s not okay with being called, terms like “jubelhure” and “schwule sau.” Jubelhure partially because of personal bad experience with the word (if someone calls her this they’re immediately getting punched), and also just because those terms are… really rude.
