i think one of the best parts about being a teenager in the early to mid 2010s was that cigarettes were definitely not cool anymore and vapes hadn’t popularized yet so my lungs made it out of my peak impressionable years relatively unscathed

Vapes are also terrible for your heart and lungs -and I am not promoting healthist discourses here (because yes at the end of the day it's your body) -I'm just here to educate folks/those who are unaware, because although there are many ways the medical industrial complex is complete shit -it has been proven that vaping can cause what professionals call "popcorn lungs," and is quite painful and serious -the more you vape, the more you accelerate symptoms associated with this. However, respectfully so -this is not to stigmatize or shame anyone. I just wanted to put this out there as well. So boycott vapes for ethical reasons -and just overall.
