Something to Remember pt. 3

the long awaited au is back! I tried to get this out as fast as I could, hope you guys enjoy it and like always please dm me any oneshot ideas or au questions!

Tw ~ brief panic, arguing, brief falling (no injury), borrower Tommy

There was a quiet sigh of relief as Tommy pulled Tubbo back into the safety of the walls. The two borrowers looked at each other in silence before hugging tightly, unbalanced enough to almost send them to the floor.

Tubbo Let out a shaky laugh as Tommy took deep breaths. They had just talked with a human and survived.

Granted, the human was ranboo.

But it still counted to them because of their old friend’s lack of memory.

“So… what now?”

Tubbo looked nervous, still shaking from adrenaline as he asked.

“We gotta get outta here.”

Tommy looked serious. It was rare and scared Tubbo slightly whenever his typical jokester of a friend was dead serious.

“But… Ranboo…”

“-is a human and doesn’t remember us. Now that we know he’s gone, we can leave.”

The shorter borrower made a quiet, sad whine at Tommy’s words. Yes, that whole experience was terrifying and nothing like how Ranboo was with them before, but… they weren’t cruel.

“Are we sure he’s gone, though? They let us go so Ranboo still isn’t as dangerous as other humans… maybe it’s best we stay.”

Tommy opened his mouth to respond, but briefly paused at the desperation in his best friend’s eyes. He sighed and closed his eyes. Tommy needed to stand his ground.

He couldn’t lose his only other friend.

“We need to go, tubs. I’m sorry, but you know the rules.”

Then Tommy turned away, not wanting to see the hurt on Tubbo’s face, walking deeper into the walls to get some space.

Tubbo watched his back as Tommy left, disappearing into shadows that even with his heightened night vision he couldn’t see through.

Then he was alone.

Next to the hole to Ranboo’s room.

A plan came to his mind, an amazing and foolproof plan.

Ranboo couldn’t get to sleep.

How could they when they just completely screwed up that social interaction? What was he thinking? He acted so weird and now he’d probably never see them again. Why did they suck at first impressions?

Well, maybe first impressions. The smaller one knew his name already somehow, and he feels like he knows them. 

Either way, they’d most likely never get another chance to see those to ever agai-

“Hey! Ranboo!”

Ranboo looked around the room as their name was called, locking eyes with a small figure on his bedroom floor.

It was one of the little guys from less than an hour before. What was he doing here? Where was the other one?

When Ranboo looked at him, the little guy, Tubbo, froze. He looked scared, like he’d run at any twitch of Ranboo’s body.

They both knew Tubbo wouldn’t get very far at this point, though.

“You-… Tubbo? What are you doing here?”

Tubbo jumped slightly at his name being used. Or maybe Ranboo was just imagining things.

“I just think… we should get to know each other! I mean, we are roommates after all, bossman.”

Ranboo was confused, roommates? Did that mean the two tiny guys lived in his room?

Well, they supposed that didn’t matter since he’s technically the guest here now, having moved out over a year ago.

“So… what do you want to know?”

Ranboo was surprised by how easily he felt comfortable opening up to Tubbo, but didn’t take back his question.

The two talked for hours about everything, from what college is, to how borrowers get resources. It was nice having someone to talk to. Ranboo was in the middle of explaining what a phone is when Tubbo suddenly jumped up from where he was sitting, having moved to the bed after the first hour.

“Wait, is the sun up already!?”

Ranboo jumped at the shout before looking at his phone. It was almost six in the morning and the sky was beginning to brighten.

“I- sorry bossman, I gotta go! If Tommy notices I’ve been gone for so long, he’ll kill me! Especially if he knows I was talking to you!”

The human nodded. It would not be good if the other borrower caught them. It would be better to keep this meeting a secret.

“It’s alright, Tubbo, I’ll… see you later?”

Ranboo realized then that once Tubbo went back in the walls, there was no guaranty they would be able to meet again.

“Well.. only if you can catch me first!”

Tubbo grinned as he jumped off the edge of the bed.

Ranboo panicked immediately, nearly falling off the bed themself while attempting to grab him.

As they leaned over the edge of the bed, they sagged with a sigh of relief when they saw that the insane borrower had landed comfortably in a pile of Ranboo’s comforter hanging off the bed.

Tubbo chuckled at the human’s concern and stretched out on the soft material before standing up.

“Bye-bye, big guy!”

The borrower waved dramatically, starting to walk away from the bed.

Ranboo saw just how small his new friend was as he walked the length of the room. It took him much longer than the couple of steps it would take Ranboo. It was an odd sight for Ranboo, especially this early in the morning.

They watched Tubbo disappear behind their bookshelf, probably where his home entrance was. Then Ranboo was alone in the room again.

What now?

So there are… borrowers living in the walls of his childhood home? What does he even do with that information?

Does he tell his parents..? But Tubbo said they were a secret… 

Ranboo didn’t know what to do at this point… but something still bugged them.

Why did they both seem so familiar?

That was the one thing that he didn’t understand… and talking with Tubbo just made his head hurt.

It made no sense to Ranboo how these creatures had been living here without ever being noticed and yet somehow everything about them was so… nostalgic.

Like the childhood memories he didn’t know he had. Why was that?

Ranboo couldn’t keep thinking about it. They were too tired, had too much of a migraine.

So, they decided to just go to sleep and stop with the questions they didn’t have any answers to.

Tubbo ran through the wall tunnels, his eyes adjusted to the lack of light and he knew the passageway from Ranboo’s room by heart at this point.

He hoped Tommy wouldn’t ask too many questions… maybe if he was lucky Tommy wouldn’t question him at all? He made it to their main base, their home.

“Where were you?”

Tommy stood in the main room with his arms crossed, a suspicious look on his face.

“Look, toms…”

He sighed. Tubbo couldn’t just lie to Tommy, his friend.. his only family.

“I… was with Ranboo.”

Tommy gasped, but wasn’t all that surprised by the truth. It made sense Tubbo would do that right after Tommy told him not to.

“Of course you were..”

Tommy grumbled. Tubbo couldn’t help but look away. He was never good at disagreeing with Tommy, especially about something so important like moving… but they had to have this conversation.

“Tommy. We shouldn’t move.”

“Wha- we have to! The borrower code- “

“Who cares! We never followed that anyway! The only difference now is that Ranboo is just… a bit lost.”

Tommy scoffed at that. It was so much more than that to him.

“They aren’t even Ranboo anymore… they don’t remember us, Tubbo!”

“Well, maybe they would if-! I-if…”

Tubbo started to yell, but the words died on his tongue. It wasn’t fair to bring that up… it wasn’t fair to blame anyone for what happened back then.

Tubbo sighed.

“Just… we can’t give up on him again…”

The tension between them died down, both borrowers didn’t want to fight anymore, they hated fighting with the only other person they had…

“Fine…”

Tubbo perked up at the unexpected response from his pseudo brother.

“What?”

“Fine, we… can try to talk to him…”

Tubbo looked at Tommy for a moment, shocked that Tommy of all people would agree to something and not be totally stubborn. Then Tubbo gave a sheepish smile and fidgeted with his hands.

“So… about that..”

“You talked to them already, didn’t you?”

Tubbo couldn’t help himself when he started laughing loudly at Tommy’s unimpressed look, not used to the childish borrower ever acting this serious. Soon enough, both were cackling at the absurdity of the whole situation.

The next few hours were filled with Tubbo’s retelling of speaking with Ranboo and eventually leading to the borrowers telling old stories of nostalgia back when they were a trio.

After all of the memories and jokes, Tubbo looked at Tommy with puppy eyes in a silent question. In response, Tommy sighed in surrender.

“Alright, tomorrow I’ll come to see him with you… but only to make sure he keeps his hands to himself!”

There was a victory cheer from the shorter borrower. That night, though there would be a lot of anxiety tomorrow, the two borrowers seemed to sleep with a weight lifted off their chests.

generation loss

i am just going to say everything that is on my mind right now. sorry if it doesn’t make sense. 

warning: generation loss spoilers, when i am talking about the episodes, i am talking about the characters mostly, not about the creators who portrayed them.

i LOVE the show so much. i love the idea. i love the creators. i love the story. i love the sets. i love EVERYTHING about it.

i am so proud of ranboo and everyone who helped to make this show come to life and to be THAT good of an experience. 

thoughts on ep. 1: 

being thrown immedietly into the action was the best thing. you feel like you are really in there with ranboo and you are experiencing it alongside them. having the chance to vote was an amazing idea and i loved how it really looked like a game. ranboo was really the main character we deserved, loved and felt for. i gotta say i was a little bit worried about charlie being the demon. when i saw the trailer, i immediately started laughing, and i didn’t know if i would be able to see him as a scary character. good thing i didn’t have to. i think it was the best decision ever not to make him scary and terrifying, and rather make him silly and goofy. the cooking show then was amazing. the idea with the door and going to different dimensions was absolutely hilarious, i loved it. when ranboo went to the basement and found sneeg and frank, that was also a great idea and funny af. i loved sneegs performance - how he portrayed going absolutely bollocks after spending so much time down there and talking to frank even though he is a skeleton (not a real person ANYMORE). last but not least, i loved the fight scenes. they were amazing and i gotta say - i loved being able to control ranboo’s moves at least a little bit. the ending was immaculate and the cliffhanger made me want more immediately. 

thoughts on ep. 2:

i didn’t watch ep. 2 live, because i was on a trip, but i watched it later and even though i wasn’t directly part of it (aka making any choices), i enjoyed it nonetheless. i loved how more creators were part of this one. every single one’s performance was immaculate. charlie being all silly and goofy while ranboo was taking all the stuff out of him, and then for a very brief moment screaming and crying because ranboo literally tore him open, and then casually coming back to silly, goofy mood. amazing. i loved niki’s performace especially because it was so chilling to see her crying this whole time but the second she had to speak to the camera, she was smiling and saying that she is kind and nice. austin’s straight trope was hilarious af. and sneeg’s acting skills - wow. how it was obvious that he “woke up” and saw what was really happening there, how it was obvious that he just excused himself to go to the toilet because he wanted to run away, and how it was so obvious (and terrifying) that he was wiped and put back in the game. it was especially scary, because they didn’t (and didn’t need to) tie him back up, because he wouldn’t run away anymore. he wouldn’t even think of it. and seeing how he still cared for frank was just hearwarming. then later, during the mouse trap game, it was so scary to see niki die. that was the first time i thought: omg, we CAN’T really control EVERYTHING. but i loved the acting, how ranboo and sneeg just carried on like nothing really happened and i realized that only after vinnie vinesauce came and started freaking out a little. the idea of charlie being soaked into the towel was also brilliant. then the wardrobe trope, just amazing. i loved the humour. i loved the show. then ethan having hope of getting out of there with that statue and then being killed just sent chills down my spine. then the play room - hilarious - the way they didn’t believe they could get out of there by pushing one button but that was actually it. i loved it. and then having a brief mcc hole in the wall moment. i was laughing (even though sneeg and austing were dying, sorry guys). and then the ending. ranboo waking up, realizing this is all a show, all a game, realizing we are watching and we are the once in control. their scared face. i love it. brilliant acting. also: rae, sykkuno’s and jerma’s acting was also on point. i loved how rae was just this little happy, confused, clumsy rat, it was so cute. 

thoughts on ep. 3:

ranboo finally sees through. wahoo. but it has consequences. they realized what they had done. hetch trying to calm them down, to think rationally, to end this once and for all potentionally save all of their friends (ranboo would’ve left if they didn’t have hope that their friends could be saved). amazing. them being all scared and worried. and confused. very, very confused. and the amount of guilt they must’ve felt. the moment with the code and then setting off the alarm was so chilling because that was the one time ranboo made a choice for themselves, and it was wrong, and it didn’t work. but the question is: did they really make a choice, or was this all pre-planned by showfall media? and then later on, when they found all of the streamers. it was chilling - the way no one was responding. only after ranboo took charlie’s headphone’s off, he got out of the tranz and he helped him. i didn’t see charlie’s stream from before genloss ep. 3, but it was in the set, and that’s just so cool. because like how much is showfall actually in control of everything. it extends into real life, not only the show itself. that was a really cool detail, i think. charlie and ranboo then running away and trying to get out of there, but they can’t, because this is all one huge set. they could never get out because that’s how it’s all planned. charlie being murdered by that tv monster and then ranboo pressing the button was so intense, i was barely breathing. and the ending. ranboo thinking they got out, that they are free, that they are no longer in the game, in the show, but being tied up immediately after. it was so sad. us having a choice - let them live or let them die. i gotta say i pressed live, i questioned my choice later on, but in the end, i think i would still pick live because i had hope that maybe showfall media would let ranboo go. but i get everyone who chose the die button. it was so scary to see ranboo that hopeless. the ending got me. the box just sent chills down my spine. it was not the ending i wanted, but it was the ending ranboo deserved because maybe he would stay in the spiral forever and would never get out. but we don’t know that. lastly, knowing this is only one of many, many experiments is just so chilling. yes, i am excited for ranboo and their team to see what they come up with, but for the characters, this is gonna be just more torture and pain. 

to sum this up: i loved it so much. i can’t wait for ranboo to keep doing this and to bring more generation loss to us.

OK it's been 2 seconds since the last one I'm still going, writing isn't working drawing is unreliable so here are my thoughts/headcanons/ideas about Generation Loss Episode 2!

PART TWO: AD BREAKS

So it's not a character I want to talk about but it's related to a character we all know and love: Squiggles. You know through the episodes where he just pops up and gives little comments about what's going on? I was watching Episode 2 yesterday, and one of Squiggle's little things made me go "oh this is certainly an Idea".

"If you're on mobile, buy a computer! Ha ha."

So I was thinking, what if some of the other comments led into little sponsored ad breaks, or TSE merch? For The World watching, I understand it's not us (because we live in a world where Ranboo is aLive and well *sobs*), but the world of Genloss, what if they got ads? They're all sitting down together watching TV with their dinners on their laps, and then Squiggles comes dancing across the screen just before the puzzle is completed (for context, this was when the audience was solving a puzzle to get GL!Niki and GL!Sneeg through the pipe maze). And everyone's enthralled, they're like oh wow they've almost made it, and Squiggles comes and goes "If you're on mobile, buy a computer! *brand name* laptops available now for 10% off if you call today, at 1800-RANBOO, I repeat, 1800-RANBOO! Now right back to Generation Loss, the Social Experiments!"

(I tried to get the 1800 number to be GENLOSS but it has too many letters)

If I could animate, and I really would like to learn just so I can do this, I would make Squiggles do his little thing, and advertise his products. Like when GL!Ranboo is cutting open GL!Slime, he goes "so that's why he's called Slimecicle!" And then, what if he launches into a toy ad targeted at kids for the Operation set of Slimecicle, as pictured in Generation Loss, for only $49.99! Like they have all these little ads, and they're so annoying for the viewer except all of them are so enthralling, so you have houses of Genloss merchandise and sponsored materials, little figurines of all the characters (Slimecicle's comes in an operating bed, and you can get the merry-go-round for an additional 20 bucks). And all of the boxes have Squiggles there in the corner, smiling and saying something either directly related to the product, or a very generic Showfall Media merch tagline.

It's sick and twisted, because you can buy all these things that are so messed up. I'm only thinking about Episode 2 right now, so I won't even go into Episode 3. But like, you can get Frank, and the figurine of Sneeg has a removable hat, and for the clothes room set you get all these customisable options with wigs and shoes and everything. You can get the revolving door that killed GL!Ethan, and it comes with fake blood! Slime kits that turn red if you download a certain mobile app, for an additional cost.

Once again, this post has evolved from "sponsorship and merch" to "fucked up action figures", but there .you go. I just really like the idea of having brightly coloured lumps of plastic designed for kids and megafans with too much money, but it's about the most fucked up things aspects of the show. But it's all haha funny and haha children, and it's a plague. It's everywhere. Target, Toyworld, supermarkets. Like Barbie or Hotwheels, it's one of the big brands. You can get Lego sets where you get two versions of Ranboo's mask. Screaming face Charlie, and happy normal "duude" Slimecicle. It's all plastic, it's all fake as fuck, but the kids love it, the adults love it, it's so marketable and they have Christmas editions, Halloween editions, and maybe ONE edition for some other holiday that doesn't have strictly Christian roots, for the media's sake. "Showfall Media Displays Diversity In Popular New Doll". Just so no one can say they're not inclusive.

The Social Experiments: The Spirit Of The Cabin

I GOT THE FIRST ONE DONE!!!!! ^-^ I love how it turned out so much!!! especially charlie!! slime demon charlie is my favourite guy and he had to be a main focus in the backgrounds!! ^-^

there is more versions of the background and more rambling about this below the cut :D

OKAY OKAY OKAY I HAVE SO MUCH I WANT TO SAY ABOUT THIS OMG!!!! i love the way this looks so much! i really love that i had taaken notes while watching it live because it gave me a nice checklist of thinsg to include. and i did want to do charlie sneeg and ranboo all together buut i couldnt find good enough pose refrences to make a group of three and decided that it would probably be too busy with all three anyways. but i fee like the pose i picked works so well for charlie and how silly and goofy his character is in tsofc as well as just being really cool looking as he is the slime demon :) i also really like how the cabin room section turned out. i couldt do any super amount of detail because of the really small scale i was working with, but i feel like i emulated it well enought that it is very easy to tell what it is supposed to be. AND the reason it is split into 5 sections is because of the door. one of my notes is literally "door to anywhere and nowhere" and decided that each door would lead to each of the different places the door took ranboo; christian hell with the flames, slime dimension with the slimy goo, the beach with the red ocean and sky, the warehouse that lead us to the mastermind of the warehouse, and i also included the car park that we didn't get to see that ranboo shared on one of his follow up streams after genloss. and i don't know why, but i heavily gravitaed towards the christian hell dimension and made a note that just says hell, so that's why there are big flames all around he outside i feel like its pretty fitting tho with how everything ends in the end haha :) now the little pentagons were just added to fill in the blank space some and i used pentagons to match the big one in the center and figured they could be like soot or ashes from the flames. i had also added the skulls to help fill in the blank space and as a lil representaion of frank :D

Generation Loss Breakdown "Episode One: The Spirit of the Cabin"

This is genuinely going to be such a long break down hope yall like it, I won’t be able to write done every single word that they say but I will try and pick up on any lines that stood out to be lore wise, I would still recommend watching the vod because it was hilarious. My ideas of how the lore is incorporated in the comedy aspect of the live stream will be mixed into the breakdown. If I miss anything please comment about it! I want to hear what yall are thinging

Starts off with the worm hole screen we see in one of the past short videos. This was a time filler for everyone to be able to get on the stream. How everything worked was there was a plug in on the stream that let the live chat vote on what happened or what order something happened. It was so much fun to be a part of even if I didn’t get to participate the full time. I'd encourage everyone to watch the next two streams live if possible. It is so worth the experience. 

When the stream started it showed the showfalls media logo, then went to Charlie doing a strange voice for his character. Hes in front of a crystal ball and there is a gif of different monsters on top of the ball. This is the first vote of the stream, chat chose the different parts of a monster. The results were shark, pickles, and lobster. 

Then the screen cuts to the stage, with the tv from the last video turned on and the words “showfall media proudly presents The Spirit of the Cabin” fading on to the screen. The lights come up and it shows a old cabin on the couch is ranboo asleep. To the left is a door with chains all over it, on the back wall is a window, a bookcase, a goat, and a door to the outside. On the right is another door. 

Ran wake up as the TV turners off, the first thing that they do it try and take the mask off. Then he starts to walk to all the doors and try to open them. The one on the back wall is the only one to open, taking him to a forest. With nothing around but the door, which when reentered takes them back to the cabin. 

At this point chat is given a second option to push “haunt” a urn. In it is “someone’s ashes”. Ran goes to investigate and gets freaked out by it and stands up, in the bottom right corner is a cute little guy who says his name is squiggle and he is the “...loveable mascot of Showfall Media :)” Squiggle pops up all throughout the show, so keep an eye out when watching for him. On the back of the mask Ranboo is wearing there is the Showfall logo, which I believe means that Showfall were the ones to kidnap him, force him to do the show, and to put the mask on them. 

The door on the right has three locks on it, ran starts to investigate around the room for the keys. This gives chat another vote to participate in. in the book shelf he finds a green key first, at the window he sees a shadowy figure with horns and a blue key. Under the tv he pulls out a tape of “Dr. jekyll and Mr.Hyde” goes back to the door on the back wall and this time hes at a beach, here he picks up a pocket full of sand. On the wall to the right is a keyrack with a whistle on it, he blows it and bats fall down from the ceiling. This is where he gets the last key which is red. 

But none of the keys are useful because Charlie pulls a kool aid man and bursts down the door in a cloud of smoke. He is covered in a slimy green suit with green horns on his head. 

They have a conversation where Charlie tells ran to leave through the back door, and it ends up with him in “christian hell” which was one of my favorite bits in this whole thing. 

Charlie calls Ran into the room that he broke the door of which is a kitchen, where Charlie tells ran that to get out of here Ranboo needs to do a cooking challenge. Which leads to the “conflict” of this “show” produced by Showfall media, also gives chat ways to interact with the show. 

On the fridge spelled out in letter magnets are the words “behind you” on the freezer part of the fridge. 

During this part there are cutaways to interviews with Ran and Charlie, which raises the question as to how much control that the “characters” have over themself, because there is a change in the demeanor of Ran from when he first woke up and during the interview portions. Also typically the first thing that is said after the interviews is directly related to the interview. Like when Charlie was trying to say Ran was running out of slime (instead of time) during the actual show portion he kept repeating slime. Additionally they keep acknowledging that Ran is wearing a mask.

Side note when Slime was throwing the apples it was so cool how Ran caught the apple in the pan.

After the contest which ran won he gets the ok to leave, but ends up in the slime dimension. Which ended up with him coming back into the cabin. In his search for if anyone was still in the cabin he went into the kitchen where one of Charlie's goons walked through another door on the right side of the kitchen, on his back is a VHS tape which he plays on the TV in the first room of the cabin. 

Every other time he is able to pick up an item there is an inventory bar that pops up on the left side of the screen, each item has a little picture of that thing. EXCEPT for this VHS tape, which is a pixelated blob of red and white. This is one time where I feel like we get to see GL!Ranboo and not the character being presented to the audience by Showfall media. 

On the tape there is a hooded figure telling ran that he has to keep going because “... they are entertained.” and to not resist. To this information we get to see a genuine reaction of fear and panic from this character in the “show” being made. In the corner the mascot’s text starts to glitch through the glitch parts he says “what are you doing?” When Ran first gets the tape the lights on the mask start to blink which leads me to think that when the light is on that is when the Ranboo that Showfall has as a character is who we see and when the light is off is when the Ranboo who actually exists in the universe is who we see.

The full transcription goes like this:

Tv person: “Hello? Oh my god. I got in. listen there is not much time, you don’t realize whats going on yet but you are doing well.”

Ranboo: “What?”

TV: “they are entertained, just keep going ok, and don’t resist. Ill be in touch.”

Ranboo: “what, don't resist what? What is this place where am I? Hello?”

Immediately after there is a break screen saying that snowfall is experiencing technical difficulties and to stay on the page. 

At this point big shout out to ran’s determination to make this whole show happen because he had to be taken to the hospital right after the show because some of the wires in the mask came undone and burned him. He went on like this for a solid hour for the show.

Part two 

Back to the recap and break down. The technical difficulty screen went away and we see ran sleeping on the couch again he wakes up and is back in character for the show. He goes into the room that the goon with the videotape came out of and starts to investigate around the room. On a table there is a doll house, with a lock in the bed of the bedroom which he picks up. 

As he explores the room he finds and rag and picks it up. Under the stair towards the back of the room there is a cage covered with a tarp. In the cage is Sneeg and my new favorite character Frank. Ran tries to get the two out with the keys despite the lock being a combination lock, meaning that the keys were pointless. On the window by the stairs are bolt cutters which Ran uses to free Sneeg and Frank. In this room I haven’t been able to see anything that suggests danger as far as the set goes.

I LOVE the way that the fight was meant to be like chat was controlling the fight.

After a fight where chat gets to control Ranboo as the hero, the two of them start walking through the house, ending up in the room with the chains on the door. Which we see is a young Charlie’s room. Along the back wall there is a bed, chest, and a painting of Charlie. To the left is a “wall”, and on the right is a desk where they find a knife and a couple pairs of scissors in the drawer of the desk. After the pair investigated the room ran had to “go to sleep” as that is what chat voted for him to do. 

While he slept Sneeg had to stand in the same spot for “8 hours” while Charlie and his goons pushed on the “wall” which is a piece of fabric. We get to see the side of the wall that isn't the bed room which has a desk and just piles of random things around the room. After ran wake up Sneeg cuts the wall, here is where the first poll from the beginning of the stream comes into play. Once Sneeg was able to make a large enough hole the monster grabs him and eats/kills him. 

Ran and the monster have the world’s slowest chase scene, where the monster conveniently gives ran enough time to set up a mannequin showing off the merch. 

Ran is able to trap the monster in the cage that Sneeg was in and locking it in. when ran walks through the hole in the wall Ranboo has to have a boss fight with Charlie. Which ended with ran winning and getting a rag covered in Charlie’s slime.

After winning the fight we see his maks start to flash then turn turn off, meaning that he is able to see reality, the person from the VHS tapes are back and this is what they say: “good work Ranboo you made it to Ep two, my name is Hetch. You’ve got to just keep going alright, look i'm trying to find a way to get you out of there, whatever you do dont resist. I hope you’re good at puzzles.” once this video finished playing his mask starts to work again. 

They open the door that would take them to other worlds, and this time it take him to a studio where he is ambushed by two people wearing rat masks. One of which injects him with something.

And this is where the stream ended.

hi everyone, tommy here! not tmmyrp, but tommy aka bell from metfell's system. I run tmmyrp and have for a year now! that's pretty fucking crazy like holy shit. i didn't expect this silly roleplay blog to turn into one of my favorite projects ive ever worked on, and i've been able to do it with some of my best friends!!

ive been having creative burnout with tmmyrp for a bit. now- now before you get all fuckin concerned n shit i'm not stopping the blog!! i just thought id let you all know. me n fern- our cranboo- are a bit more active on latenightmining right now, since this blog's plot has pretty much been resolved in a way im happy with. i'm still gonna be roleplaying on here, but i'm moving away from any huge serious conversations. there will be a few more, there's still some stuff id like to resolve with songbird, and of course october and november 16th are coming up. but overall i want tmmyrp to finally have some peace. he's okay now, he's happy. so send asks prompting him to go hang out with tubbo or techno or wilbur or quackity or even phil- hell even ranboo we can figure that out!! ask him about his knitting and sewing projects, his favorite things he's made and favorite places to go. ask him about his favorite time of day or weather or give him an idea for something to do! he's here to have fun :)

we've had so much fucking fun and so many memories. there was the start of finding gertrude, carving pumpkins with songbird, ranboo dying and dream escaping, the gala, getting tulip, ranboos SECOND death leading to the creation of petalsbrough with tubbolul, the shapeshifting or stress shitting lol, the reconciliation with technoblade, getting to interact with casinoroyale and then bring charlie back home to him, live roleplaying while the queen died, exile 2 and the scary shit with bestnightmares, when bestnightmares got fuckin terminated mid thread and it was so goddamn funny everyone lost their minds, tommy locking beeduo in a room to sort their problems out, tommy embracing puffy making him the server therapist and trying to therapize people but needing it more than anyone, the way everything changed november 28th and bedrockverse branched out to be its own little thing.

i love everything ive written with everyone, and its kind of crazy that this is my first experience roleplaying ever. there's nearly 1000 of you now, and i don't know what i have planned for the anniversary! im writing this a couple days early because i got so emotional. you've all seen me grow and get better at writing and now i feel so satisfied with the product ive made here with everyone else. it's a group effort, we all worked so hard trying to make something memorable, something that represents how much we love these characters from this silly minecraft roleplay server.

Phil turns on the grill and makes everyone some delicious goods.

He would also be the more mature part and watches over everyone so nothing gets smashed, or broken.

At first, everyone argues about what movie to watch, but in the end You and Phil craft a wheel of fortune with a bunch of movie headlines written on it.

Where ever the pin lands on, the move will get shown this night.

Dream orders everyone's favourite Meal.

All are squished on one large Couch, munching on their food and watching the movie.

Another totally chaotic stream would be a Jackbox stream.

The Rap battles also get performed in Real-life.

Imagine Sapnap and George insulting each other face to face, with water bottles as microphones.

Niki roasts everyone without thinking twice.

Just Tommy trying to cheat by looking at other phones while playing until he gets caught and sat on a lonely chair.

There would also be days when it's silent.

On such days, everyone sits at their Pc playing some games by themselves.

From time to time you could her a faint scream from either Tommy or George when taking off the headphones.

Of course, every room is soundproof, so others can sleep when a loud child is streaming.

All in all together, it would be a very chaotic experience, but everyone has got their back in case something goes wrong.

Peak behind the fic writing curtains time because I’m re-reading my notes for As Above and thinking about it lol.

So fun fact about the tapes! I wrote a draft for Wilbur’s tapes before I properly finished outlining Tommy’s perspective. I was kinda struggling to piece together Tommy’s story and I needed Wilbur’s outlined first and well… What this means is that I wrote the tapes in order of events, not in the “random” order Tommy found them.

I thought it’d be fun to share that order with y’all, plus it offers a bit of a new perspective on the events of As Above. I put it under the cut because it does contain spoilers for As Above So Below, just in case :)

Also for extra funsies, idk if it’s possible but since there is an order you might be able to figure it out on your own. So if your ARG brain is tingling then feel free to have fun with this, the answers are below. Just note some early tapes got skipped because they were just Wilbur reading notes to the open air which isn’t fun to read or write.

Without further ado this is the order I wrote Wilbur’s story in (along with brief summaries of each tape cos fuck! even I forget what I wrote sometimes lol)

Wilbur’s interview with an unnamed resident at Lostfield, who we know is Ranboo! Wilbur learns very little information here, just makes Ranboo freak out!

Wilbur’s rather unhelpful interview with Technoblade, where he receives a nice long list of missing persons who just happened to show up on Lostfield.

3b - possible progress

(fun fact I nearly called this one research and crimes… probably should have tbh, it’s funnier) Wilbur gives an update on some of his personal findings about Techno’s research, and explains his plans to sneak into Lostfield and speak to the owner himself.

4a - interview with the owner

Wilbur does a little house tour and speaks to the owner of Lostfield AKA Dream. Their interview gets weird quickly and Wilbur feels like he’s panicking / losing control of himself.

4b - untitled (ch10)

Wilbur starts recording because he’s just woken up from his visit to Lostfield and he barely remembers what happened.

Wilbur decides he needs to go back to Lostfield, he records a note for himself — or whoever finds the tape — incase he doesn’t make it back this time.

Wilbur summarises what little he remembers from the 3 days he spent in Lostfield, mostly a recap of how he broke into Lostfield.

6b - goodbye

Wilbur recives a package containing a tape (7a and 7b) and he comes to the conclusion he’s in too deep and can’t escape. He uses this tape to say his final goodbyes

8a - untitled (second half of ch12)

Wilbur breaks into Lostfield with the tape recorder in hand. He gives some live insight as to what is down there before he spots something in the middle of the room and Dream appears.

Hi! I saw you were looking for song recs. Can I have some more details about the force quit AU so I can tailor song suggestions better, please?

YES OF COURSE! Fair warning this is a long boy post so be warned SLDFKJ

ok so basically the Force Quit AU is a generation loss au that is a bit self indulgent so bear with me here :D! The self indulgent bit is the addition of another character, Marvin! They are an ex stage hand and set designer for Showfall that was able to escape the company's mind control. They now work from inside the company to help others escape, including Ranboo and his friends. I've taken this little detail for myself and labelled it as Marvin's doing. So basically hes a little helper

ANYWAYS! Force Quit follows canon pretty closely until around the end of The Choice. I have two ways this could go and I havent really decided on which i like better so I'll cover both!

Option 1 is that Marvin sneaks into the control room/heart of the facility as the voting is occurring. Before Hetch makes the call and pulls the metaphorical trigger to box Ranboo, Marvin comes up from behind Hetch and knocks him clean out with a length of pipe. Marvin then gets Ranboo down from where he is stuck and they both run like fucking hell. Both make it out of the facility.

Option 2 involves a little bit of context on some of the ideas I have about Showfall and the Security monsters specifically. So personally I call the Security monsters Taskmanagers! I think its fitting to name it after the computer program.

Additionally, you know Hetch's line where he describes the motionless Showfall employees? He says this: "My best guess is they were once people, and then something moved in and kinda repurposed them to be.. yknow, whatever the company needed."

So I took this and RAN. I came up with a concept that there is a stage before the Taskmanagers we see in Genloss. I haven't come up with a name for them yet. They arent really a "larval form" but more of a base form. Showfall either made a deal with some entity or experimented enough to create these creatures made out of wire and a tar-like substance. They use analog technology as "shells", sort of like hermit crabs. In addition they feed off of electrical signals.

I don't think that they're actively malicious, the company just uses them in an awful way. Anyways the employees will start out as normal people working their jobs. The masks have some filtering and control capabilities but no where as strong as Ranboo's mask since it's not directly connected to the body.

This can change though if the employee discovers something they shouldn't have or if Showfall just wants to do it. An employee can go through a process called "rewiring." There are several degrees to it ranging from a mild degree which involves the process of physically wiring the employee to the mask. This continues until the highest and final degree which is a full rewiring. A full rewiring is when an employee is offered to one of these little wire creatures. The creature, when prompted, will take the employee and inhabit their body. They will feed off of the brain's electrical signals and give Showfall direct control over the host's actions. There is usually no going back from this. This is also inspired by the scene in The Choice where Ranboo stabs an employee and wires come out instead of blood!

For Taskmanagers specifically I think they are originally the result of a botched Full Rewiring process. The host and wire creature did not react well and in turn created the Taskmanagers who are dangerous and actively hostile. Showfall, after accessing damages, realized they could purposefully trigger this botched creation and use them to their advantage, thus creating security.

SO, after that long explaination, onto Option 2! Sorry there's no easier way to explain this, trust me, I've tried.

So Option 2 involves Marvin somehow befriending a "defective" wire creature. Or, alternatively, befriending a defective Taskmanager. I really need to work on a name for the tiny ones gees- Anyways Ranboo is rescued here more by.. uh. Brute force rather than stealth. Here, before Hetch can pull the trigger, Marvin and the wire creature bust through a door or wall koolaid-man style and rescue Ranboo. Admittedly this option makes less sense but I'm still including it because I had the visual of the box beginning to close on Ranboo but two GIANT wire-y hands catch the two sides and WRENCHING it back open. I dont know thats just so cool to me I love big monsters!

Regardless of how the rescue goes, Ranboo escapes and is outside the facility. Marvin in hesitant to join him because of their ongoing mission to save as many people as possible. And Ranboo upon hearing this explains that Sneeg and Charlie are still trapped in there. Marvin is hesitant to believe either of them are alive but Ranboo begs them to at least check. Marvin agrees and returns inside the facility, leaving Ranboo with an address for a place he can spend the night in as well as a small two-way communicator.

Marvin enters back into the facility and discovers that both Charlie and Sneeg are alive. Charlie, however, being wounded by a Taskmanager, has some electronic bits placed into his abdomen. I am working on a design for him at the moment but here's what I'm using for inspiration:

Sneeg, while attacked by security, was not wounded enough to require any replacement parts. He just has a couple of large scars on his torso. The real damage was done during The Warehouse where he was "reset." When Sneeg was reset, he gained awareness of everything Showfall was doing. He could see the cameras and he knew none of this was real. But this comes at a detriment because while he now has an immense amount of "behind the scenes" knowledge about Showfall, Showfall has the ability to completely control him. I'm unsure if this denotes a full rewire or if Showfall is using some experimental remote technology.

Anyways when he was revived after being attacked by the Taskmanager in The Choice, the revival process messed with what the reset did to his mind. The connection between him and Showfall is a little glitchy now. He still has insider information but sometimes he can accidentally trigger a meltdown where he believes he is once again on stage in Showfall. This either manifests itself as that panicked state we saw him in during The Warehouse where he was given the wrong hat OR how apathetic he was immediately after being reset. His perception of reality is distorted as well. Sometimes he can almost predict something before it happens, almost like a sixth sense.

Ok so where was I?? Sorry I took a hard left into infodumping territory. I mean I already am infodumping but i did EVEN MORE! LSKJDFLSKDF

Anyways the AU from here, in short, is saving each member of the cast! Charlie and Sneeg stick with Ranboo and form their little trio. I'm not sure where Niki, Austin, Vinny, and Ethan fall in the AU yet but I do want them to be rescued as well. I just don't know if they will be in the main group after or not!

Ok hopefully that was coherent and not a boring read! But yeah thats the Force Quit AU I love this thing to death already its been occupying all of my waking thoughts! Yay :D!

okay!!! ill skip over something then. this is gonna be LONG, ill put it under a readmore. keep in mind i didnt watch any of this live (timezone horrors) so i had a different experience to people who did

(i just finished writing it and its literally. 4.1k words im SO fucking sorry oh my god)

episode 1 starts off very sillyfunny with a few breakthrough moments that r designed to make the audience go “!! somethings wrong here”. ranboo starts off normalish but then the mask turns on and he becomes a point-and-click NPC. important to note that they say “it wasn’t supposed to be like this” at some point during the first few minutes. keep that in mind for theories later

so ranboo searches the first room and then charlie comes in and hes Different. hes like a slime demon thing. COVERED in slime. head-to-toe. and hes very childlike and likes to mess w ranboo. theres a cooking show segment and it gets rly silly and sort of makes you forget about the whole horror element. the whole show is very much like a boiling pot thing where it gets worse so slowly but the difference between the start and the end is jarring. cooking show finishes and charlie says ranboo can leave and he goes through the door but its christian hell so they come back. charlies gone. this is where we meet hetch for the first time; the screen glitches (one of the first Breakthroughs!!! the first sign that Something Is Very Wrong Here!!!) and speaks to ranboo, telling them to play along and that theyre doing great. the glitching stops, the mask goes back to normal, and then theres a little intermission thing. fun fact: its at this moment that one of the wires for ranboos mask breaks, and they proceed to get second degree burns throughout the rest of the episode!

uhh ran finds sneeg in a cage in the basement (so far the rooms have been directly next to each other on a flat plane, but theyre Designed as if theyre layered. theres a staircase in the basement). sneeg has a plastic skeleton named frank who he insists is alive and also insists on dragging around with him for the time theyre in the basement. he talks to the skeleton. more on that later

charlie appears (he was in a box in the corner and is stuck in the box) and douses slime over sneeg who is suddenly now Mind Controlled and fights ranboo. with chats help, ran wins, gets the slime off sneeg, and charlie leaves

the rest of the episode is still pretty strange. they explore charlies bedroom (newly unlocked) and theres a dream sequence where charlie and two other actors throw their asses back into a fake wall while sneeg is forced to witness the whole thing because hes Frozen All Night, and isn’t that strange?

sneeg gets killed after they rip open the wall. rip sneeg

ran goes through, fights charlie in another turn-based sequence game thing with chats help, wins, and kills charlie by drying him. rans like yay! then the mask starts glitching and freaking out again. he goes back to the tv and hetch appears again to be like yay! good job. ur doing great. keep listening to them! smile.

mask comes back and ran goes through one of the doors and then gets pounced on by the Rats (rae and sykkuno) and episode 1 ends there, with a jumpscare, to set the mood for the next bit

ep 2 is CRAZY. theres still humour in it but its definitely getting into “oh shit” territory. hit character The Puzzler leads ranboo through a series of – you guessed it – puzzles and shit. charlies back! hes not having a good time. but that’s medical stuff so i wont go into it. theres another Breakthrough here though and its cool as hell and INCREDIBLY haunting. theyre rly good actors

new characters! sneeg is back! theyre on a carousel. niki nihachu, vinny vinesauce, austintv, ethan nestor (and sneeg) are on the carousel (frank the skeleton is there too!) and the puzzler (who is revealed to be jerma with crazy looking prosthetics on his face) tells them to Beg For Their Fucking Lives so chat can vote for them. crazy! niki is crying the whole time. charlie gets pulled into the room because OOC during rehearsals he was like “hey wouldn’t this be funny” and they went yeah ur right it is

at some point another breakthrough happens but its after sneeg gets his hat back (bc it was missing somewhere). sneeg goes to “the bathroom” and we see him sprint offstage. interesting! the scene continues until all the characters suddenly freeze (throwback to ep1 when sneeg was frozen all night!) and we start to hear sneeg crying out for help. Showfall employees (the first weve seen of them) wrestle him into a chair and force a mask over his face. he stops fighting and goes back to his spot on the carousel. showfall people leave, scene unpauses. horrifying! for the rest of the scene sneeg is not tied to the carousel and makes no move to leave. he has a different hat now

important character note: when its nikis turn to beg for her life she just stops crying immediately. and shes very insistent on the fact shes Super Nice and Very Helpful and Please Choose Me Im So Nice And Good Please :D

chat picks niki and sneeg (sneeg, for story purposes, had to move on anyway). they go to the next room. another puzzle! niki dies because she gets shot. rip niki. shes also very good at acting. :(

vinny vinesauce time! he seems to be the only one disturbed by nikis death. interesting!

anyway they finish the puzzle (by accident lmao) and go through to the next room. before they do, ranboos mask starts flashing again, but a showfall employee appears and grabs something on the back of his head. from here on, they act even MORE like an NPC with no guidance and seem very lost and confused for the remainder of the episode

next room is a heist scenario with lots of lasers. vinnys like dw guys i got this. throw me through the lasers. ran and sneeg go “?? ok”. they do. he makes it through the lasers through a series of funny visual gags of a mannequin being tossed through the air and hitting the ceiling. oh yeah important note this bit was prerecorded btw. umm vinny makes it through and lands on the ground and is like “yay!” and then he dies to falling anvil. rip. neither sneeg nor ran react that much. interesting! ran tries to get through the lasers too (some turned off after vinny got thrown through) but he gets stuck. suddenly, charlie voice! in episode 1 he was dried off after having a towel thrown at him and ranboo picked it up and put it in their pocket. for plot reasons, i guess, because now charlie the demon is speaking to him from the towel. charlie tells them to throw him at one of the laser projectors and ran goes “aight bet”. theres a cut in the video because apparently ranboo took FORTY MINUTES trying to land it and failing. towel catches on fire and charlie dies again. rip.

anyway now ran can make it through yay! they make it through and grab a diamond and the lasers all turn off. sneeg and ran go to the end of the room and are both like “now what??” then they get teleported out into a different room much to their surprise.

it’s a walk in wardrobe! and a huge one at that! presumably the puzzlers! ethan and austin arrive and the puzzlers says something about how “appearances can be deceiving” or smth like that. ethans like “omg we should change our appearances” so they all get dressed in random outfits. the puzzler when he returns is very confused but goes along with it. chat votes, ethan is voted to be the coolest looking person there. puzzler + rats leave (its either this point or earlier that the puzzler breaks the door with his ass i cant remember. joke for the rest of the episode. fun blooper). umm they take the outfits off and discover two buttons and press them. uv(?) lights turn on and reveal writing on the walls and floor, pointing to one door and advising away from a false shelf. theyre all like “fuck that”. puzzler comes back at some point with the rats just to discover that everyone has taken the fun clothes off. for the entire episode so far, jerma has been putting on a funny voice to be the puzzler, but for this bit he goes back to his normal voice which is rly jarring and made me rewind it so i could laugh when i first watched it, and it still gets me every time MGDFGKBH. puzzler + rats leave. the guys wander around again and ethan pulls on something on the fake shelf. it starts turning and hes like “omg guys the exit!” and austin gets ready to follow him but then strange chewing sounds happen and ethan starts fucking SCREAMING. and “blood” pools on the floor (idk what the liquid is but its red and meant to represent blood so.) anyway ethans dead now! austin is the only one who freaks out about it, the other two r like “damn that’s weird”

WAI TIMPORTANT THING before ethan dies, the focus is on all of them standing there talking . ranboo still looks very lost and doesn’t seem to be able to do anything without instruction. while theyre standing there, one of their hands starts tapping out “SOS” in morse code. the other one, after a bit, reaches over to stop it. CONCERNING!!

they find the real exit and get through. new room! this one is slightly boring. puzzler goes on a tirade on a screen and then something blows up and the feed cuts. concerning! ranboo solves a rubix cube. for no reason. he confirmed afterwards that he just saw the cube and went “ooh solve time” and forgot about the show for a few seconds. someone (austin?) presses a button and a wall starts moving. sneeg and austin try to fight for the position but eventually sneeg sacrifices himself to stop austin so ran can get through. those two die. rip. now its just ranboo

ran gets to the puzzlers office (after the longest still shot EVER) and finds a recording the puzzler left. i don’t remember it word for word but he tells ranboo theres a key and ran finds it. then another Breakthrough happens! hetch appears on the screen. i don’t actually think he had a name yet until either this episode or the next one i cant remember oops. anyway he does something, ranboos mask turns off, and then ranboo slowwwwwly turns to look directly at the camera. holy shit!! in-universe, its been a fucking SHOW!!! theres a camera crew!!! ranboo walks RIGHT PAST the fucking camera crew and out into this HUGE ASS FUCKING MALL!!!! this is where ranboo swears for the first time ever and says “what the fuck…. what the fuck is this place….” then the feed cuts!!!!

EPISODE THREE BABEY!!! there is no room for humour in this one, its all gone to shit and ranboo is freaking the fuck out. hes acting (mostly) like a normal person now. the mask stays off for this episode. they continue talking to hetch, question the camera (which hetch says is a ‘drone’ and ‘under his control’). hetch leads ranboo through the mall and ran finds an exit and is like “oh hey i could just leave and get like. the police. please?” and hetch goes “your friends are still alive! don’t leave yet! what would the police do anyway?” and rans like. ok :(

ran goes downstairs and finds a store with the security closed screen shut but its seethrough. the room is blue and full of smoke. suddenly a BIG fucking Thing appears from the smoke and slams against the screen door. ran freaks out because HWAT??? but hetch just says its Security. important note: the actor for security is smth like SEVEN FUCKING FEET TALL

hetch continues leading ran through the mall until they find a room with a bunch of showfall employees who r all perfectly still. like its fucking creepy. the actors r very good at standing still. nasty. ran discovers whiteboards that show the WHOLE of episode 1 and 2 were planned out from start to finish. freaky!

ran finds four codes that hetch says will shut the facility down as long as he picks the right one. ranboo takes the codes to the ‘heart of the facility’ which is a room covered in wires and screens and it looks freaky. he sidles up to the control panel and turns it on, then it asks for one of the codes. hetch puts it up for an audience vote and ranboos like “wtf???? no”. audience picks red, ranboo punches in yellow (the computer screen is yellow). it’s the wrong code and an alarm goes off. hetch is like “lol good luck ur on your own now” and sets the drone/camera to ‘autopilot’ apparently. ran is now on his own. swears again. runs out and in the direction of the room they got the codes from. the employees are Awake now. ranboo shut the security door earlier so they cant get out. good job ranboo

ranboo runs back through the mall in the direction of the security creature and discovers That door is now open, with a blood trail leading into it. he does not stick around to find out what happened. they continue walking and start to hear voices! yay!

they run through and discover a foodcourt that has been turned into five(?) different streaming setups. there are some streamers that do actually stream i think, but idk any of them. suddenly, CHARLIE!!! hes been Actually live for the past 13 or so minutes and just reacting to colours (the vod is on youtube, its rly funny) and ignoring the chat. some poor fucking person in the chat said it was their first charlie stream. rip to that guy. anyway ranboo climbs over the counter and rips charlies headphones off and suddenly charlie is Aware of Ranboos Presence!! but he still cant see over the counter and i guess he thinks it’s a wall. very literal fourth wall shit. ranboo drags charlie away from the pc (more of my thoughts on this later) and yells at the camera. important note: charlies stream setup was recreated almost fucking PERFECTLY. its UNCANNY. literally u cannot tell he is in the mall at first. eerie shit.

charlie climbs over the counter with ranboo and suddenly is like “wait what the fuck” because in his eyes hes just teleported Through The Wall. they continue walking while charlie tries to get answers out of ranboo (who also knows nothing). they discover a shrine to the puzzler (rip). they almost find an exit but there are showfall employees chaining the doors shut. uh oh! important note again: there is currently a smoke alarm going off (accidentally) because one of the smoke machines triggered the alarm. this is adding to the vibe. it was unintentional

they run through the mall and find a directory. they try to find an exit. charlie spots one, yay! he takes a step back from the directory and sees something out of view of the camera. camera pans. dead showfall employee on the floor. suddenly, Robotic Roar! camera swivels over to zoom on the Security monster, hunched over someone. bit hard to tell in the moment, but if you pause and look closely, its sneeg, dead for the third time, right next to an exit. rip buddy. u were so close

charlie and ran RUN for their lives and discover more employees trying to break out of the room ranboo shut earlier. nice job again ranboo they find the exit they spotted earlier and almost go through the door, but more employees appear through it and force them to change direction. theyre shouting at each other. its so tense. i cannot IMAGINE how it mustve felt live. they get into a prop/surplus store ??? of some sort and bolt the door shut. charlie demands more answers and ranboo still cannot give any. freaky! ran finds a knife and charlie picks up an axe, but ran goes “can you run with that???” and charlie says no (despite handling it very well with one hand. interesting). charlie instead takes a frying pan. ok. he also has a bulletproof vest now. theres a bucket on the floor, labelled “slime”, but its got a red liquid (presumably blood) in it. think back to the first episode, where charlie was covered in slime. yeah that’s blood. it was blood. he was covered in blood. holy shit.

they go through back hallways and find another exit but get pursued by Even More Employees Holy Shit How Many Are There. they get back to charlies “stream setup” and charlies like “how didn’t i know??? how did i not know???” they climb back over, try to go back to the first exit, then get chased again. ruh roh! up the stairs they go. they slow to a stop and spot security again, so sneak onto a set. its the set of episode 2! they wander through the carousel area and even though charlie cant remember much hes still like “wait,,, i think we came through here before”. ranboo hesitantly goes “i did.” they get back to the previous room that i skipped over earlier and charlies like huh! and they move through but charlie is definitely subconsciously remembering something.

they find another exit! its boarded off. with wood. that could’ve been broken if charlie had the axe. sad!

they find hetch! hes dying. he gives the two a reality check and an existential crisis (“where did you grow up?” and they both answer cabin and hes like NUH UH!!). he gives ran a map and says to finish the job and tell showfall that ‘the hetch did this’. ok. he dies. charlie and ran leave. at some point in the past few minutes it became prerecorded, but its hard to tell where. interesting.

they walk out of the set and theres a ringing in the audiences ears and presumably ranboos too. charlie is begging ranboo to say something (“just answer a single question of whats going on!! are you even you right now? is this what you want??”). ran doesnot answer and just pulls out the knife. showfall employee jumpscare! ranboo stabs the employee. wires burst out from the wound. ranboo drops the knife for some reason!!!! charlie looks horrified

they enter a new room and discover The Cabin set. seeing as they’ve both only just discovered that they didn’t actually grow up there, despite the memories they have of doing exactly that, theyre very fucking distressed. they sloooowly walk towards the set. gorgeous camera angles here btw. charlie tries to say something but surprise, Security! it lunges at charlie and he trips and gets attacked and starts fucking screaming and holy shit cc!charlie is good at doing the most haunting fucking screaming ever. jesus christ.

charlie points out the button and his voice is overlaid with the robotic noises of Security which is cool as shit. ranboo looks around as employees appear from fucking everywhere and chase him towards the button. they press the button, turn around while all the lights are flashing and stare directly at the face of an employee behind him, then everything shuts off and all the employees’ heads tilt towards the floor. important note: the camera is still rolling. the camera presumably controlled by showfall. just to make u tense

gentle music now. so much relief. ranboo walks towards an exit (passing the first sign of sunlight weve seen for the entire show) and does a bow in front of it. music shuts out and Sinister Sound happens, and fucking HETCH appears!!! ranboos mask lights are back on. hes dragged into darkness. camera cut

it turns back on to show ranboo trapped in a fuckign saw trap, i Guess. hetch monologues at ranboo like “haha congrats you made it to the end :) wasn’t this so fun :)” and ranboos like WHAT…. WHAT THE FUCK. their mask is flashing. fun fact! cc!ranboo confirmed the mask flashing here was ranboo getting their memories pre-showfall back. fun! i hate everything. ranboo is crying

hetch sets up a vote. the audience, everyone who watched genloss live, has to vote whether ranboo lives or dies. and at first ranboo thinks that living means escaping, so he fucking screams at the camera “LET ME GO!!! LET ME GO!!!” and its haunting and devastating. and then hetch drops the news that actually, living is continuing with showfall, and dying is the escape. ranboo is stunned. and then starts begging for the audience to kill him. thus we get the horrifying clips of seeing ranboo, crying, scream “JUST LET ME DIE” . i am a puddle on the floor at this point.

the audience was trying to 50/50 the vote, and it was holding strong up until ranboo started begging to die, at which point the audience started swinging heavily towards die. mercy kill. audience didn’t want them to suffer anymore.

‘die’ wins. hetch teases at it for a bit and then announces the result. box closes! music cuts. ranboo dies with arms outstretched. fun fact! the position ranboo wakes up in at the very start of episode 1 is eerily similar to the way he dies here!

BONUS!!!

when ranboo wakes up charlie in ep3 he essentially dooms his friend to die, because if charlie stayed there, he wouldn’t have been killed by security. yeowch!

during episode 2, when sneeg is leaving for the “bathroom”, he says to ranboo ‘ill come back for you’. he does not! maybe he tries in episode 3, but all we see of him is him lying dead next to an exit. sad!

the plastic skeleton ‘frank’ was an actual living person at one point! sneeg was dragging around an “actual” (in-world) skeleton. freaky!

during the cooking segment in episode 1, there are points where you can see a message written in those magnetic letters on the fridge. it says “behind you” or something like that. referring to the cameras and shit that none of the characters can see!

um anyway generation loss was a commentary on how audience behaviour affects streamers and other celebrities and the like. which means its kind of ironic that ranboo got burned in the first episode because they refused to like, Stop, for their health, just to deliver a cool show for us, the audience. very meta of u ranboo. its rly shown in ep2 with how everyone is characterised; niki confirmed her character was created around the idea too many people have of her; that being thinking shes overemotional and dramatic (the constant crying), and the only good thing people describe her as is ‘nice’ (the crying stopping as soon as the attention is on her, her emphasising how Good and Nice she is please smile). ethans character was described as ‘unemployed’ and its essentially a commentary on how he isn’t viewed as his own person outside of his friends very often, and how most people associate him with markiplier because of unus annus, and now that UA is over they don’t rly know what he does. sneeg is kind of dickish and very sarcastic on the carousel and its an exaggeration of the way he acts on streams, because a lot of the time non-viewers see that and think that’s all he is, just kind of an asshole to everyone. i care about gl!sneeg so much .

ummm i don’t really know a whole lot about vinny or austin outside of genloss but vinnys character is described as a hoarder. he talks about shit hes collected ‘over the years’ and just rambles on about something until the other characters cut him off. they all got titles btw related to the stuff they rambled about (except for sneeg, ran and charlie, who are ‘the taken’, and ‘the hero’. i don’t think charlie gets a proper title like that?? hes referred to just as ‘slimecicle’ in the first episode so that’s what his ao3 tag is lmao). anyway austin is Austin “The Gay” and his whole character is just about how Very Straight He Is Yep and how he has a beautiful wife (many of them) and children (four of them) and his wife(wives) enjoy long walks on the beach and hes So Straight Cant You See? and hes desperate the whole time and generally the only one who properly reacts to anything happening around them. and thus i guess its sort of a commentary on how people perceive him as just ‘the gay one’, but also corporate homophobia and how his queerness is covered up and treated as a joke

Ok spoilers for part 3 of gen loss

Ok firstly with my little prediction I was half right, he did start talking to chat and it was all broadcast to chat

So with the whole ending right? Also I don’t believe that is the ending cause idk seems anti climatic but that’s my thoughts, if this was all a test to see if ranboo was going to become part of the cast, it’s safe to say both slime and sneeg is part of the cast right? Cause that’s the whole experiment to see what happens when you break someone’s reality. Now with a project like this I was surprised to see that they used the same names because I thought this project was going to be separate to ranboo (I didn’t actually think ranboo would be the hero but that’s beside the point).

With how meta they went with the narrative I have a feeling they might continue to go with that narrative, I’m going of on a tangent here but the lines hech was saying “this is the first time we have a live audience” and honestly the fact they called chat audience, now I know it’s not much but now that I think about it, it’s surprising but this brings me to the idea that they don’t know what twitch is or what chat is, they just know that people are watching it live.

Now when I think about it, before ranboo went into the room he bowed, why the hell would he bow, cause before he didn’t want chat to be watching him, he didn’t want them to control him so why did tell did he play into the fact that it was a show and he bowed, and then this got me thinking about how meta are they going to go with it, like are they going to mention how everyone is all actors and whatnot (which they kind of did but not really if that makes sense) then if that’s the case, what about ranboo, he is an actor aswell, generation loss is ranboo’s idea, ranboo’s thing and it’s streamed on ranboo’s twitch, I mean the logo changed but it’s still ranboo’s twitch

This could also play into the fact of false memories that hech was talking about, cause ranboo doesn’t remember who he is and doesn’t remember anything about before the cabin.

This can go as far as the reason why hech didn’t want ranboo to take off the mask could be cause ranboo hasn’t face revealed yet, but that might be a too big of a stretch

Ranboo is the founder, he is the one who made everything.

Hello hello hello! I'm so sorry I've kinda been sometimes neglecting writing this month. It's been absolutely insane like mentally and I haven't had the motivation for anything.

But I'm here now, and here's what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna do a multi prompt fic that includes some of prison, death, Ghostboo, and limbo all in this one. Then I don't know how exactly I'll write for revival seeing as it hasn't happened and I don't wanna make assumptions I guess, but I might post a little something on Halloween.

The wall broke. There was a flash of a pickaxe. It's owner was in front of my vision if only for a moment. I had too many questions but I didn't know if I wanted an answer to any of them. So I just followed like a sheep.

And then we were swimming in a sea of orange and yellow. I could hear the alarm slowly fade. And I could hear him. But it wasn't in my head. Nothing was.

Too many people. Too many voices. Too many weapons.

"Come here, Ranboo, come look at this before you go."

Sam.

"Why do you have this?"

"Why do you think I have it? Come and stand on stage, Ranboo, come over here. Why don't you give me your armor?"

This isn't real. It can't be. It shouldn't be.

The protective layers of purple came off bit by bit.

"What are you doing? Keep that on! Why are you doing this?"

There was a face with black eyes surrounded by green and gold, a moment of pain under my eyes from tears adding to the collection of scars, a moment of pain in my chest, a moment of blood rushing through my ears, then nothing.

After regaining all my senses and control of my body, I found myself surrounded by a sea of grey and blue, seemingly endless.

Above me was a similarly colored sky, an array of bright freckles painting its dull canvas.

There was something under my feet, something solid, a block of dirt and grass, only enough room to stand in place on.

There was no use in asking questions. No use in looking for answers. No use is yelling for help.

But there was an unfamiliar weight in my pocket. A book and quill. Maybe there was a use.

Nothing was different. Not really. Maybe my skin looked a little different. Maybe there was a duel colored gash taking space of about half my chest. Maybe everything felt almost lighter. But nothing was different. Not really.

Except maybe this. A journal. "Do Not Read."

I opened the first page, something was calling me, a sort of connection drawing me to write.

"Hello."

"Hello? Who are you?"

"The part of you that's missing."

"Where am I? Where is everyone?"

"You are dead."

"Oh... who are you?"

"Like I said, the part of you that's missing, that's currently experiencing everything afterwords."

"Where am I?"

"You are where your soul was before and where it will be for the foreseeable future. I wouldn't worry however, as I know that people here get revived easily. However, you will feel the emotional pain of every experience that I have."

Where's Phil

Summary In which Phil is hurt, Trixtin is gone, Tubbo and Scott are upset, everyone is upset, and Phil gets a steak at the end

Story

It had been an accident. Tubbo was messing around with Scott, and pushed too far again. Phil recognized the signs of Scott going supernova, but something was not right. Scott had been trying to reduce the size of his blast radius for a while, with Phil observing, so he had a good idea about roughly how big Scott's explosion would be. This one would be too big for Tubbo to emerge without consequences.

Making a snap decision, Phil dove down from the roof of the building he was working on, grabbed the smaller bee and turned so that his wing sheltered the two of them. “Scott, just do it!” He yelled, and less than a moment after the words were spoken, a searing heat slammed against his body. Phil gritted his teeth as he felt the flames scorch the feathers of his wing down to the papilla.

The ground around Scott melted, creating yet another crater. It was easy enough to fill it in, no one really cared about filling in craters anymore. But sending anyone to respawn was a painful experience, especially when it involved Scott.

When the heat cleared, Scott was gone, sent to his own respawn. Going to respawn that way always destroyed everything he had on him. They were close to the main community area, so it didn't take long for him to get back.

When he arrived, he found Phil and Tubbo knelt on the ground, Tubbo frantically bandaging Phil’s utterly destroyed wing. “Oh god!” Scott gasped. “I’m so sorry Phil.”

“It’s alright, m-mate!” Phil yelped, as Tubbo dabbed burn medicine on his burns.

“We need to go see a doctor.” Tubbo mumbled.

Phil hissed as Tubbo kept dabbing on the medicine. “No-sheee! No need. I’ll-gah! I’ll be fine.”

“Oh, Phil…” Scott mumbled. “I’m so so sorry.”

“Again,” Phil smiled, his hands shaking slightly. “I’ll be fine.”

“Com'mon, Phil. Let’s get you home, at least.” Tubbo said, carefully sliding his arm behind Phil’s back, carefully avoiding where the explosion had destroyed his wing.

It was slow going, and fortunately, Jack had heard the explosion and when Scott leapt up to ask for something to put Phil in so they could lift him up to the pub, he came with a make-shift air rescue stretcher.

Phil was light enough that Tubbo was able to lift him all on his own, but Jack floated up beside the two, helping add additional stabilization while Scott watched from overhead, directing them. When the three were finally up at the pub, Tubbo carefully helped Phil up to the spare room.

Phil settled down carefully, “Thanks mate.” He said his voice was tight and strained. “I’ll be fine, okay?” He repeated.

Tubbo could barely look at the older man. The feeling of guilt weighed on his stomach heavily. “I’ll check on you later.” He said, quietly closing the door.

Jack was waiting downstairs for Tubbo. “Scott told me what happened.” He sighed. “If Trixtin was here, she would be able to tend to him better than we can, but we are all we have.”

Tubbo nodded, his gaze locked on the floor.

“Tubbo. I’ll keep an eye on him tonight.” Jack said. “You go home and rest. He’ll still be here in the morning.”

Jack had checked on Phil before he went to bed himself, and the older Elytrian seemed to be resting just fine, so Jack felt that he was okay to sleep for a little bit. And he did.

He only slept for a few hours, then woke to check on Phil again. Phil had moved a little, but still seemed okay. So, Jack went back to bed.

Jack checked on Phil one last time before dawn. Tommy was up with the sun, and almost broke down Jack’s bedroom door waking him. He had been crying. Jack found Tubbo standing stiffly in Phil’s doorway.

Ranboo was already inside the room, his oversized paw resting against the massive silken ball that was now resting on the bed where Phil had been the night before. Large cords of the silken stuff stretching from the mass were firmly attached to the exposed beams of the room.

“Oh god.” The soft voice of Scott mumbled behind Jack. The Starborne pushed past and walked up beside the much taller Enderian. He rested his hand beside Ranboo’s, and after a moment slowly removed it. He turned to Tubbo, and awkwardly rested a hand on the young Bumblebee’s shaking shoulder.

Tubbo shook his head slightly at Scott’s touch.

Ranboo slowly removed his hand, and shook his head. “I still don’t know much about Elytrians.” He mumbled, shaking his head. “I don’t even know what this is. If Miss Trixtin was here, she would be able to tell us, but again. I don’t know.”

He turned to Tubbo, and tapped lightly on his shoulder. “Tubbo. Let’s go downstairs.” He said, softly.

Tubbo nodded slowly, and turned and followed the much taller Enderian. Scott trailed behind, silent. Once the large group had made their way onto the main Pub floor, Tubbo flew up to the shelf of plant pots above the entrance to the greenhouse, and curled up on the cushion that Jack had tucked up there for him. His expression was blank.

Ranboo frowned. “I’ll need to go over to Phil and Miss Trixtin's to look for any sort of information about this.” He looked up at Tubbo. “Tommy, could you..?”

“I’m coming.” Tommy stated, firmly. “Phil is my friend too.”

Ranboo nodded slowly. “Okay. Tubbo, do you want to come with, or stay here?”

Tubbo blinked. “I’ll come.” He said, his voice tight.

Ranboo nodded. “Okay. Jack, us three will go. We’ll talk to you when we get back.”

Jack nodded. “Okay.”

It didn’t take long to get to Phil and Trixtin's home. The house was nestled into the lightning struck branches of the massive tree overlooking Niki’s lagoon. Tubbo flew in, and Ranboo vwooped up, his hand clasping Tommy’s shoulder.

Tommy shook Ranboo’s grasp off, and headed straight for the bookshelves at the back of the main room. Tubbo flew over and scanned the titles of the books at the top of shelves.

Ranboo climbed up the ladder to the storage and started going through boxes for any additional books that might have the information they needed.

The trio reconvened after an hour of scouring the house.

Zip. Nada. Zilch.

“Fuckin’ hell.” Tommy growled.

“We found fuck all, Jack.” Tommy snapped when the trio returned to the pub.

Jack frowned. “Damn it.” He shook his head. “I tried to burn through the stuff after you guys left; nothing.” He sighed. “I’ve got nothing.”

Ranboo nodded. “All we can do now is wait for something to happen.”

Tubbo nodded slowly, and flew back up to his preferred perch, settling amongst the flowerpots.

Various members of the OriginsSMP rotated in and out each day, checking Phil’s room at least once every few hours. Sneeg temporarily moved from his and Fundy’s shared space, to his base in the pub so he could help keep an eye out so Jack could sleep.

And after two weeks of everyone on edge with worry for their friend, Trixtin finally came home.

The female Elytrian came straight to the pub, and almost immediately asked Jack, “What happened?”

Jack stumbled and stuttered, barely able to put two words together.

“Jack.” Trixtin insisted. “Phil didn't come to greet me when I got close. What happened.”

“It was my fault.” Scott started. “Phil is-was-might still be upstairs?” He said, hesitantly.

Trixen turned abruptly, a few loose feathers from her wings shedding at the speed of her movements. She shoved open the door to the room that Sneeg pointed to, and froze. She cocked her head and let out a sigh. “How long?” She asked, sounding much less angry than when she had entered the pub.

“Two weeks today.” Scott said, his voice soft.

Trixtin shook her head and glided back down to the pub floor. “Jack, could you whip up some of Phil’s favorites? He’ll be up in a bit.”

Jack frowned. “Why?” He asked, shaking his slightly, his brow furrowed.

“He’ll be hungry.” Trixtin stated. She turned toward the ladder and said, “Good morning, dear.”

All the other people within earshot turned and collectively went wide eyed at the blonde Elytrian who was carefully descending. Phil turned slowly when his feet were fully on the floor and rubbed his eyes, covering a yawn with his free hand. “Good morning, luv.” He mumbled. 

His hair was a bit damp, as were the iridescent black feathers on both of his fully intact wings.

“Phil!” Tubbo cried out, leaping out from his flower filled perch. He grabbed the man in a tight hug.

“Hi mate.” Phil drawled, loosely hugging the Bumblebee in return.

“Phil. How?” Jack stuttered. “I saw your wing!”

“Hmm? Oh.” Phil gave Jack a grin. “We Elytrians can regenerate our wings after a while. Should have mentioned it sooner, huh?”

The entire pub stared at Phil with varying expressions of annoyance and relief. 

Phil smirked. “Now, I’m starving. Jack! Prime Rib steak!”

The new ranmail about him getting a new desk for his new place really hit me. Remember during the beeduo meetup tubbo had these cool desks made for the streaming room? And they would talk on stream for hours about how much content they'd do together in the UK, what colors tubbo was gonna make the kitchen, how much fun it would be.

And now they barely acknowledge each other, let alone make content together. And now Ranboo buys a new desk in a new city away from the boy who he thought was the answer to everything. At this point I'd say it was even a hyperfixation. Because how does that happen? How do you go from acting like lovers to such aloof in days?

I wonder if they'll ever talk about what really happened in that time. Maybe in 10 years time or something. I'm convinced Ranboo read the vibe wrong and made the move to get with Tubbo whereas Tubbo is just a naturally flirty person. And now that's why Ranboo is so obsessed with "right person, wrong time." All in front of Tubbo's partner as well.

God imagine how that partner feels looking at the beeduo ship art? They're bound to have seen it. I'd vomit if that was me. I'm glad that the partner is not a cc. Because that would be hellish to sit through. I'm glad Tubbo is having his normal teenage experiences. Wishing him only happiness and laughter this summer because man was last summer awful for him.

ur good flower, and i get what youre talking about. sometimes it does make me a little sad to think of where we started and how things have ended up, but i feel like tubbo's bf is just a better bf than ranboo ever could be. plus i think the non-streamer thing is a deal-breaker for tubbo now that he's had the experience of both. also yeah the way ranboo has handled this situation has been absolutely atrocious and if i was tubbo's bf i would absolutely hate him

So. Someone said they wished Wilbur cared a little more. There was more to the comment but that’s not important right now. Anyways, time for me to opinion all over the place

I think Wilbur does care more than we think. He just doesn’t care about what he should.

I don’t know much about him yet, but he seems to be going through that thing where he has been restricted all his life so now he’s treating life experience like Pokémon cards. It’s a classic thing a lot of kids go through and it has two usual outcomes. Either the kid never wants to venture out and will do exactly what they were taught growing up, following the lifestyle to an extreme, or they will absolutely go bat shit the second they get freedom.

Like when a kid isn’t allowed soda their entire life and when they get older they are either repulsed by the drink or start only drinking soda for a long period of time.

It also doesn’t help that Phil feels bad. Phil has sympathy because Wilbur just wants to be a normal teenager, and when he was that age that’s all he wanted. It also doesn’t help that Wilbur is very intent on getting what he wants. There isn’t a lot of wiggle room. Wilbur seems to have a general idea of how to get Phil to agree. And if he doesn’t see a pattern yet, it’s not gonna take him long to figure out what works.

Honestly, it would be beneficial if Phil cracked down in the parental way, not the “it’s your destiny” way. Wilbur needs to be prevented from whatever messy spiral he’s about to go down, but he needs to be allowed to have a life.

Right now all Wilbur really cares about is himself and that’s because this is the first time he’s allowed to. At the boarding school he was taught things he didn’t care about. He had to follow rules that forced him to adhere to a set of guidelines. He was taught that he wasn’t priority. He has been told his entire life that his destiny isn’t about him, it’s about someone else. So it’s no wonder he wants to fuck off and do what he wants.

In the initial comment that provoked this, they also said they feel like something is gonna happen to someone he loves that will force him to care

And I already see it happening. Even though he wanted to go to that house party and didn’t care about anyone else, he still had enough of a heart to remind himself that Ranboo had it worse. Maybe that’s not the best way to think about it, but at least he’s still thinking about it.

I think once he gets to know Tommy things are going to get harder for him. Because it’s going to be the battle between wanting to benefit himself or helping the person who actually needs it.

I’ll definitely have more to add on this in the future, but for now this is what I’ve got.
