Hey! It’s been awhile since I asked a question. I know you’re already answering my other question (Reasons if not liking Sakura) but I wanted to ask another one.

What did you think about that filter episode when everyone was the opposite of their original self. I found it was funny but also telling. One thing I noticed was the Sasuke being a chick magnet. So in the original version, girls normally fond over Sasuke and show their admiration yet Sasuke isn’t impressed and doesn’t focus on them. However, in the alternate version, it’s the same. The only difference is Sasuke is enjoying the attention and returns the attention back.

Then when it comes to him liking Sakura in the alternate version, yet Sakura isn’t showing any feelings back. Her feelings are with Naruto, along with Ino. The original world, Sakura is latched to him and he doesn’t reciprocate.

Though I found it cringy and funny, I couldn’t help but think… is this telling that the real Sasuke maybe isn’t into girls? Now of course, I will be open minded, it doesn’t always mean he’s gay (though I kinda think he is. Like ace homoetrioc) (sorry if I butchered the word.) his goals are his first priorities and that’s a fact. However, it seems natural that he might not have a thing for girls. At least to me.

Yesterday, I reposted a blog talking about the episode. They gave their opinion about it and thought Sasuke might be gay. However the comments were complaining about their take. They said just because Sasuke didn’t show interest in girls doesn’t mean he’s a homosexual, and that’s true. However they refuse to believe he might not be straight and we should just accept that. They believe Naruto and Sasuke are just close friends who aren’t afraid to show affection. We’re just making everything gay. Then after reading some more, it turns out their SS fans which all made sense.

So my question to you well two questions.

1.) What do you think of that episode? Do you think I’m just over analyzing?

2.) what’s the difference between homeotriocness and two guys displaying affection

I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Also, I very much enjoy your long analysis so if it’s long and detailed, I’d read every detailed paragraph! That’s only if you want too. ❤️

That Road to Ninja Movie and all the episodes related to it!!!! I don't know which episode you were talking about @larrycherry04 . Just in case, if you don't know, Episode 311 called Prologue of Road to Ninja was based on the One-Shot Manga which was drawn by Kishimoto himself.

This was drawn by Kishimoto and look how Sasuke was so into Sakura. LOL.

And then the movie Road to Ninja itself, which is where you will see all those characters with their opposite personalities. The fun part is, that movie was written by Kishimoto himself. LOL. Unlike The Last, that shitty movie, where he just gave the story concept and let someone else handle the Romance part (that explains the shittiness), Kishimoto personally created the story of this film and also designed all of the characters for the movie as well.

Then there is this another set of Episodes 427, 428 where we see TenTen's Tsukuyomi dreams in which she was forced into that Road to Ninja World. Again we see all those Konoha 9 Characters with opposite personalities (which is what you are referring to I guess). I am not going to use these episodes much for discussion because it’s all from Anime’s writing. I am just going to focus more on the Road to Ninja movie.

How is this relevant to this ask??

Because of Kishimoto's involvement.

Kishi has never written a story for any of the previous Naruto’s movies. This was his first one. So, these characters were created by him which came from his own mind. And that is why it's very important.

That doesn't mean I'm claiming this material as Canon. But it's something worth to consider and good to know the motivation of the author. If those filler episodes were not related to Kishimoto, I would've bluntly said, 'Not worthy enough to consider, Larry'... But it's not.

I Love Charasuke...... Really... Man!!! He was seen living his life to the fullest without any worries.. LOL.... A real Casanova!!!

For some reason...... I love this version of Sasuke!!!! I wonder how SakuTrash would feel if Sasuke was like this in our Narutoverse.

Logically speaking, this whole movie was about Naruto and Sakura got caught up in an Alternate Universe where everyone of their classmates behave in the opposite way. Like Kiba hates Dogs, Shino hates Insects, Shikamaru is a Fool, Neji is an S-Class Peeking Pervert. Hinata loves to wear suggestive costume. Ino looks unfashionable, Chouji is on a diet, Sai draws ugly drawings. Kakashi behaves like a fool and Might Guy lost his youthful energy and was seen behaving like an Old man.

And Sasuke was seen portrayed as a Casanova.

Since this was written by Kishimoto himself, why did he have to make Charasuke flirt with Sakura in the movie??? Funny thing is, Sasuke came to see Sakura on his own accord. The following scenes can be interpreted in a opposite way if it happens in the real Narutoverse.

Sakura : You were never worried about me???

Sasuke : If there’s anything troubling you, Don’t you ever tell me.

Sasuke: I’ll never be on your side.

No, You are not at all over analyzing.

Yes!!! Sasuke in Canon world may not be Gay (Though I really doubt it). But the fact that, He doesn’t give a damn about Sakura in real world is undeniable. Because if every character’s personality is the polar opposite of how they were in the real world, then Sasuke caring in Genjutsu world must also be opposite!!!! There’s no way I could see Kishimoto made an exception in this aspect....

So, If we throw their own logic into their faces by not bringing Sexuality into this, then..... Sasuke in real world was never interested in Sakura. That’s the fact. If they don’t accept this fact, then I deem them as some functional hypocritical idiots.

Well Canonically, Sasuke never gave 2 shits about her in Part 2, except for that scene where he caught her from falling down like a dead log. He left her to die many times and I never saw him worried about her safety. So, Kishimoto is just trolling SS deliberately in that movie by making Charasuke seek Sakura, care about her and flirting with her.

Just imagine all the above 3 pictures with Borutoverse’ Sakura in mind. It still fits. Sasuke never worried about her for a decade.... If Sakura was in trouble, she can’t even communicate him.... Sasuke was never on her side for a decade.... Geez!!!! Why can’t they understand this...!!!

It’s surprising that you found those SS peeps making sense... They are the most delusional people who just lack any sort of comprehensive skills in the Naruto Fandom.

What the hell does it mean by Displaying Affection anyway???? Then why the fish they couldn’t show an ounce of such affection to their wives and children???? Naruto don’t even speak to that Himawari kid... I just find it creepy, Man!!!!

Alright, to be honest... My knowledge about Sexuality topic is just minimal. So, I cannot plunge into something which I am not confident about. That’s why I never talk about that aspect in any of my posts because Love is Love and I don’t want to bring Gender aspects in it and there are many other capable writers to discuss about that aspect.

My way of shipping them is purely based on my instinct, observational skills and some analytical ability. That’s why I realized their love very late. Like towards the very end of the series. But somehow deep down I always felt ‘Something is Weird’ between these guys!!!!

So, Probably that’s what I believe Homo-eroticness must be. Some weird, palpable, suggestive, makes you uncomfortable, Blush-worthy kind of scenes which is totally out of limits when you put them under Friendship!!!! There’s no way ‘A Mere Friend’ can do these stuffs.

Again, As anyone who is following my blog for quite a while will know that I started to ship SNS only after Episode 478. Before that, I always thought them as Close Friends. Meaning, I started this series with an unopinionated, unadulterated mind without wearing any Shipping Goggles. I don’t even know how this story would pan out back then.

Even during my first watch, I always inherently felt certain scenes were ‘Weird’... Like why is this happening in this way instead it could’ve been handled in a multiple different ways??? On my Re-watch, I found more and more, after reading the Manga!!!!

So, Let’s me tell you where did I felt any of those feelings like Weird, Palpable, Suggestive, Made me uncomfortable, Blush-worthy.... And it’s just not pertaining to SNS.

HAKU REMARKING ZABUZA’S BODY AS BEAUTIFUL

“I Just didn’t want to scar your Beautiful Body”

I checked the Japanese word Haku used here and he said

Kirei = Pretty, Lovely, Beautiful

There’s no way someone can call other’s body as Beautiful and still think that it’s not weird!!! It’s just not. And Haku is not a little child of 7 or 8 who doesn’t know how to describe something. Since Haku looked Taller than Naruto, he must be very well around 14 or 15. So, it’s a clear indication of some kind of attraction from Haku’s side.

Now, don’t jump into conclusion that I am shipping them so hard or something. There is this popular Hollywood movie called Leon: The Professional where 12 year old Natalie Portman was shown having a crush on a 40 year old man. Consider this Arc as such. I AM NOT SHIPPING THEM. BUT MERELY PRESENTING THE FACTS.

A PANEL WHICH SUGGESTED A LOT

This is one where I felt mind-blowing, weird, sad and tragic.....and yet cleverness from Kishimoto!!!!

Manga is an art medium where your drawing should convey everything in a limited number of panels allocated for a week. Everything goes into the consideration, like which angle to portray the shot, which body part should we use to convey emotions, what fighting technique and many more. Sometimes you use eyes to convey emotions, sometimes lips, sometimes hands too.

So, with all these detailing goes into drawing a Manga,

What do you think this above panel represents???

A convenient angle which shows an implicit Kiss between Haku and Zabuza.

Kishi’s intention was not to make them actually kiss but to leave something ambiguous and open for our interpretation. Majority of the people who read a Manga will just skim through the contents or read only the interesting parts.... which is not wrong. But when you actually look pictures with some visual perception, you can notice these things.

Like I said earlier, Haku might have a crush on Zabuza which he never noticed or realized. But at his final moments, he wants to stay by Haku’s side by placing his hands on Haku’s cheeks and said, “If I could... I’d like to... Go to the same place as you”..... I repeat, I don’t ship them. But I can’t consider this under ‘brotherly’ or a Master-Student relationship either. It just goes way beyond everything.

Kishimoto is using Zabuza’s hands to convey his true emotions.

Now, Can you really call this as Brotherly or Friendly???? Is this how Friends behave??? Does Friends really want to go to Heaven/Hell together? or Does any Master wants to go to the same place as his student??? Do you think Kishimoto drew it by accident??? Why Kishi drew a suggestive panel at their final moments??? Because there are many things you cannot say very openly, out loud due to the harsh repercussions. But he wanted to send the message.

What message, you ask?

If Haku acted like this around another boy of his same age, people would’ve already assumed Haku might be a Homosexual boy. But due to the age difference, not many people could notice these hidden meaning and it was easily ignored. I think it was very intentional from Kishi’s side.

A boy who was attracted to the body of other man and consider him to be Precious.

That boy died protecting that man.

A panel which suggest an indirect kiss.

Finally, the man wanted to be honest and touched the boy’s cheek and want to go to the same place as that boy.... Meanwhile it was snowing.

And they died together.

The message Kishimoto wanted to convey is, just like Zabuza and Haku, Naruto and Sasuke might also have some ‘unexplainable’ feelings between them.

Haku’s single source of happiness was Zabuza. Similarly Sasuke was thinking only about the best memories he shared with Naruto before his ‘supposed’ death. So, after the massacre, Sasuke’s source of happiness was Naruto which he himself confessed in Chapter 698.

This kind of Love is not something you can say out loud in a direct manner especially between Haku and Zabuza. That’s why Kishi drew such a suggestive panel which symbolizes an implicit kiss and a warm touch between two people who stayed together and died together!!!!! From these two people Kishi draws parallel about an ‘unusual’ bond between Naruto and Sasuke in the first arc itself. Just like how Zabuza was Haku’s precious person, Naruto was Sasuke’s precious person.

I see a very high chance that Naruto and Sasuke might die like this. Everything started here. And with all these striking parallels, I won’t be surprised if they die like Zabuza and Haku.

UNUSUAL FIGHT - VoTE1

I don’t want to go too much into this panels ... Because it’s already evident... LOL...

On my first watch, I just got slightly creeped out by the above scene. What kind of Angle is this??? It was intentionally drawn to make them look like they were Kissing with Naruto sitting on top of Sasuke. LOL.

Like why Naruto is fighting in a straddling position and pulling his collar, bringing Sasuke close to his face??? Why Sasuke is spitting blood on Naruto’s face??? And with Sasuke bending his legs.... It looks more weirder.

We’ve seen Naruto fought Kiba, Neji, Gaara so far!!! Naruto was never seen fighting like this with anyone else.... Neither did Sasuke!!!! So why now???

If you want me to remove the ‘Creep’ factor from this fight and make it dudebro friendly, I would do this...

Well, you could say, Kakashi and Obito were surrounded by people and hence they are fighting like this!!!!

Hmmmm... No!!!!

They still fight like Friends even when they are fighting in a separate dimension.

The only time they both got very personal was at this time!!!!

It doesn’t look awkward at all!!!! Kakashi was also about to stab Obito in a straddling position.

Why is it that this looks different from VoTE1 fight, I wonder???

SASUKE STARES

I’ve already explained it in many posts.

This scene is not something ‘Friendly’ or ‘Brotherly’..... No friend would do this to another friend. We know Sasuke got a stinging pain in his arm and fell down on his knees and coughed up blood just above Naruto’s head.

How did he end up straight above Naruto’s face???? Because his ‘Body moved on its own’. This is some kind of attraction. All the rain droplets pass through his face and fall upon Naruto’s face which creates a Connection.

This kind of pictorial symbolism with rain reminds me of Peter Parker and Mary Jane’s Iconic Upside Down Kiss in the Rain from Spider Man.

It’s funny that the movie came out in 2002. And this chapter came out around 2005. A manga artist has a very high chance to watch a popular comic based movie and he might have inspired from that. (I am just speculating)

You think I am making this up, don’t you??? Kishi watches many Hollywood Movies.

Where do you think Hashirama and Madara statue was inspired from?????

It was from Lord Of The Rings for sure!!! This above fact is from Naruto Manga Chapter 181 where Sasuke leaves the village that was released in 2004. And VoTE fight happens at 2005.

I really don’t find any difference, to be honest!!! The moment I saw the VoTE location, I instantly got reminded of LoTR movie. Similarly, Sasuke’s stare also reminded me of that scene from Spider Man.

Again, Am not saying Sasuke was going to Kiss.

What matters is the visual symbolism. The idea of the most famous kiss in the film industry was being replicated in an innocent way which leaves the seed of curiosity in everyone’s mind that ‘What’s going on here?’. Also, we saw him staring at Naruto for some time. But we don’t know when did he got up and left him, which Kishimoto intentionally left ambiguous. Meaning, He is telling us, you can assume whatever you want with this scene. This is intentionally romantic.

And that’s why this scene was most used in the Anime in Openings, Endings, Fillers because this creates a certain tension which is inevitable.

UNFINISHED SENTENCE

Again, This is another painfully intense scene which arouses some curiosity, ‘What was Sasuke going to say???’ ... It’s definitely not ‘I am Sorry’... The Japanese word Sasuke used here was, ‘Ore wa’..... And was deliberately cut short by the arrival of Rain which leaves some mystery to the viewers.

The very problem with this scene is that Friends don’t hide anything!!! They are always open with each other. Only towards people whom we have certain ‘Unexplainable’ feelings, we do this kind of Abrupt pause. Like we want to say something but we really couldn’t.

OROCHIMARU HIDEOUT

This is the scene where I felt really uncomfortable for unknown reason. Like, ‘What’s going on??? Well, Sasuke What have you become??’.

I see this as another ‘Body moved on it’s own’ thing. Like Sasuke is seeing Naruto after 3 years and somehow he wanted to stand closer to Naruto and then think about whether to kill him or not. LOL. If they were 12 year old kids, It’s absolutely fine. But then they got matured which gives off this undeniable seductive Femme Fatale vibe!!!

If I really have to remove the ‘Uncomfortable’ factor from this scene,

Just remove the ‘intense staring’.... Like they have been staring at each other for many panels.

Oh, By the way.... Friends don’t stare at each other this long!!!

Again, the above one is totally friendly even though Shikamaru was seen hugging and falling upon Naruto.

Why??

Because that’s how friends would behave. They won’t hide anything and instead they just go for a Bro hug without feeling ‘uncomfortable’....

Why Sasuke and Naruto never did a ‘Bro Hug’ so far???? Because the author himself knew it would be awkward for both the characters!!! That’s how intimate, their bond is!!!

LITTLE TOO SUGGESTIVE IN A SPAN OF 2 CHAPTERS

As we all know, Sasuke is the most sexualized character in the Naruto series. Especially in the Manga Part 2. Anime team usually sexualize Hinata.

In a span of 2 chapters, Kishi choose to illustrate him in an awkward situation and that always seems to involves men. When I was watching the Anime, I didn’t notice it, but in the Manga... it was just Blatant and Awkward!!!!

The one on the left is the Poster of Chapter 345.... And the 2 panels on the right are from Chapter 347. Sasuke was seen surrounded by Snakes in many arts. But coiled by Orochimaru’s tongue??? And that too Oro looks like he is hugging Sasuke from behind with his hands on his chest. Yeesh!!!

The other 2 panels need no explanation. Kishi could’ve easily chosen some other character to represent this Oiroke no Jutsu.... Why Sasuke, the Main Character???? Why put him under such a situation to question his Sexuality??? Am not saying Sasuke got knocked off by the beauty of Suigetsu’s naked body. But the fact that he was drawn to be put under such suggestive situation is always questionable.

And in the very next chapter, we see this!!!

“Would you back off?”

Of course, he doesn’t mind the touches when he needs help or someone tries to help him. Like we see, Pinky always tries to force herself upon him whenever she can. But Sasuke usually rejects touches when doesn’t need help. With the sole exception being Ino. LOL. That’s why Sakura fans hate Ino.

Funny thing, Sasuke totally didn’t mind when Naruto occupied his space and Accidentally kissed him...

Larry, you asked me whether Sasuke is Gay or not in your first question??? And again, I am telling you I am not a suitable person to answer this. But, I didn’t even bring Naruto into the picture... Atleast in this section.... But look!! How many suggestive scenes Sasuke was put through which involved only men!!! And how he is particular about rejecting women’s advances. This is another reason why people think Sasuke might be Gay. Added to that, His portrayal as a Casanova in Road to Ninja adds another point to their assumption.

And if I bring Naruto into the picture, the entire context changes. For example, the above panel happens in Chapter 7. Whereas in Chapter 3, Naruto totally came close to Sasuke and ‘Accidentally’ kissed him. The Kiss is not something to be considered very seriously. But the reaction which followed after that... is what matters. He could’ve pushed Naruto just like Sakura or beaten him into a pulp. Instead he just gave an empty threat, “Naruto, I’ll Kill You”.... And that very same kiss was the most prominent panel in Sasuke’s memories just before his death. I am not saying he enjoyed the Kiss... But he didn’t hate that Incident either.

Well, this is just one instance. When you factor in all the above Homoerotic scenes I mentioned above, you will get the picture.

Somehow, SS fans conveniently forget all this and claim nonsensical Headcanons!! Well, when did they ever read the material properly???

ALMOST A NAKED DOLL

If there is one panel/scene that always made me blush and question, ‘WHY?’, then that is this,

What the Hell is this, Man????

I don’t know why this has to happen in this way????

I understand Madara wanted to join the powers of Senju and Uchiha to achieve greatness. There are lot of ways, I could see this happening...

How about asking Hashirama to marry an Uchiha girl???? Alliance can become strong through Marriages in those days. And the baby born to them might have become powerful someday, who knows!!!???? This is one of the genuine way to make it happen.

Or How about creating an Hashirama doll with some Dress on??? I seriously can’t understand this logic.

Kishimoto could have drawn this panel with some dress and it would’ve looked absolutely normal. When Obito was showing this lifeless Hashirama doll to Kabuto, it felt ‘ Slightly Weird’. But the moment I saw the following scene, I got totally knocked flat!!!!! LOL

So, this Madara dude created this naked doll and lived alone with it for 60 years..... And what the hell is that Black Rod anyway??? Why can’t it pop out from Hashirama’s chest or hands or palms???? Why is it popping out from his stomach which looks....ummm... I am not going to say!!! LOLL.....

There’s no way I can imagine this relationship is ‘normal’..... It’s totally abnormal, obsessive and absolutely hilarious at the same time.

Imagine if Sasuke did this with Itachi .....Just for a moment... How creepy would you feel???? And they pull this reincarnated brothers of ‘Ashura’ and ‘Indra’ and shit.... My Ass.... There is no way a brother would do these creepy stuffs with his sibling.... Man!!! LOL....

If my sibling did something shady as fuck like this, I would run away and put her in the hospital.

However, if a friend is doing some crazy stuffs like this.... which means that ‘Friend’ has already stepped out of the limits of friendship.

TATTOO ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CHEST

LOLLOLL.... Do I have to explain anything???

All these... Madara flaunting his boyfriend’s tattoo moments were just Blush-worthy!!!! And on my first watch, I don’t even know why I was blushing.... It was just inherent. But as I progressed through the series, I finally understood why. And I asked couple of people about it... like whether this is a normal scene or am I just over thinking it!!!!

Many people felt the same way as me....

Again, this bastard Kishimoto was always sinister throughout the Manga. He totally could’ve made Madara do this....

Look at Danzo’s arms.... The same Hashirama’s face. Why didn’t Madara do something like this???? If that face was in Madara’s arms, there would’ve have been nothing to feel ‘Weird’ about it... Yes I know, Hashirama stabbed in Madara’s heart and he used Hashi’s cells to patch it up.

But the point is, Madara was flashing Hashi’s face to all the Kages before we even get to know how Madara obtained Hashi’s cells in the first place. He just popped out in the Battlefield and started to do this crazy things... Which totally made me go, ‘Woah!!!! What’s going on???’.... OOF!!!!

And Madara did something else that totally took me from Level-Blush to Level-Ship.

“I just wanted to show you all Hashirama’s face”

God!!!! ROFL.... This is just crazy. At this point I didn’t know anything about Hashirama but the seeds of Shipping was already laid here and when I saw their flashback I officially started to ship them.

Madara is just an Open, Intense and a crazy IDGAF person who doesn’t feel shy to show off Hashi’s face to the public.

NOW I GO SHIRTLESS BEFORE AN ENTIRE ARMY

Ummm... I find this to be weird, awkward and creepy as fuck. With Hashirama kneeling, Madara being shirtless with Hashi’s face on his chest, strangling Hashi and absorbing his Senjutsu Chakra....

Alright... I just want to leave it here.

And this is Madara showing the Entire world that he has Hashirama.... standing in a seductive pose!!!!

Do you really want me to consider this as an ‘Affection between Friends’???...

TOTALLY VULNERABLE AND UNNECCESSARY

Does it look ‘Brotherly’ or ‘Friendly’??? ....

It looks like two boys who fought until they cannot even move an inch were about to rest on each other’s shoulder for comfort. And their faces are really close to each other... Plus they are panting next to each other’s faces. LOL.

But why ‘Comfort’ ???? Resting on each other for comfort was something that always belongs to ‘Romantic’ trope, wasn’t it????

The above picture is where I felt the seed of Realization that may be these guys are not just Friends after all. The visual imagery totally projected them as ‘Lovers’... not ‘Friends’. And by the end of that episode, I could no longer see them as Friends.

Because it looks so intimate.

Let me show you how a Friend would fall upon his close friend.

This kind of Falling upon another is usually used only when someone is dying on another. The above one looks utterly shocking and devastating for us viewers just like how Nagato looks here. Because we never knew How Yahiko died and on knowing the reason now, it just looks hauntingly terrible.

But anyways, I showed you the difference...

That panel of Naruto and Sasuke looks vulnerable and intimate but totally unnecessary whereas the one with Yahiko and Nagato looked painful and haunting.

UNCONVENTIONAL ANGLE, AGAIN!!!

Like I said before, Manga is an Visual and Art media where you perceive everything through your eyes. Unlike TV series or Movies, you don’t have sound effects or music to convey the mood of the atmosphere. And Manga artist always pay extra attention when using Angles, Background and Expressions.

This panel is totally normal. Nothing to explain or think a lot about.

Whereas,

This panel looks totally different, considering the Angle... Isn’t it almost similar to Zabuza and Haku’s dying panel??? Well, not exactly similar.... Sasuke’s face seems to be touching Naruto’s face with a very vulnerable expression...

Part 2 of Naruto Manga starts at Chapter 245. We notice Naruto had grown up and become strong. There is this long held suspense that Naruto had developed a new Perverted Ninjutsu which he was about to show off to Konohamaru.

But Sakura punched Naruto before we even get to see what it was.

Now finally we are getting that much teased Perverted Ninjutsu which Naruto boasted in Chapter 245

LOL. At first, I find it very funny and moved on!!!! Just while reading the manga, I realized,

Why Naruto got disgusted when Konohamaru did the same Jutsu??

Why were girls in Harem no Jutsu looks very similar to each other with Whiskers on their cheeks???

But when it comes to Boy version, everyone looks very creative and distinct without any whiskers???

I don’t know whether this qualify under Homo-eroticness or not. But it’s an undeniable fact that Naruto researched a lot of Erotic magazines related to Men to come up with such a Jutsu. And he practiced it a lot more than Rasengan..... LOLLLL......

But there is a catch......

Naruto, a boy of 15 years, felt boring after reading Jiraiya’s popular smut novel Icha Icha Tactics. I wonder, a boy of his age must be very horny and interested in such stuffs, isn’t it??? Usually that’s the age their hormones boil a lot.

AFFECTION BETWEEN FRIENDS

Well, What is affection by the way????

Caring someone genuinely. That’s all. Yes, It also borders on romantic love as well. But Friendly Affection is very different.

Another best example of Friendship is Kakashi and Obito.

Obito evolved his Sharingan for Kakashi.

He started this entire moon plan for Rin and Kakashi.

He gave his Sharingan to Kakashi when he thought he was going to die.

Obito never ever tried to retrieve his eyes back even though it would enable him greater powers like, Susanoo, Kamui at a great speed.

Obito treasured both of his teammates like his own family.

Fun Fact: Even during his sleep he murmurs Rin’s name as well as Bakakashi’s name (Baka means ‘Idiot’) ... LOL

And yet I never felt Obito and Kakashi’s bond as weird or unusual. They were just being themselves. We could clearly distinguish what kind of love Obito had for Rin and what kind of love he had for Kakashi.

Nonetheless...

Why do I feel Sasuke and Madara evolving their Sharingan is very different from Obito evolving his Sharingan for Kakashi???

That’s because.... Obito was just a lovely boy who treasures friendship deeply. With the way, his flashback was shown, That Bridge of Kannabi was his first mission and he was facing his first on-field Battle and he was not shown to have any emotional Trauma in his life. He saw Kakashi lost his eyes in order to save him and then his Sharingan popped out. Good!!! After that when Rin was killed, Obito evolved his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Whereas, Sasuke has went through a big Trauma in his life and he awakened his Sharingan but he wasn’t aware of it. He reawakened it when trying to protect Naruto. After that he had a chance to evolve for Sakura when she was pinned by Gaara with his sand. But he didn’t. Instead he evolved his 3rd Tomoe when he decided to cut his bond from Naruto. How is his ‘supposed love of his life’ in danger couldn’t evoke anything in him whereas breaking up with ‘a mere friend’ could evoke such a strong feelings???? Let’s leave that..... How can Sasuke decide that killing Naruto will fetch him Mangekyo but not Sakura, ‘his supposed love of his life’????

Let’s look at Madara. He lost 3 brothers so far. But he couldn’t evolve his Sharingan for them whereas ‘severing his bond’ with a boy whom he just met for a month could evolve his Sharingan for the first time!!!!! And then rest is the history.

The thing is Sasuke & Madara had many chances to evolve their Sharingan and yet they could evolve only for a selected people. Whereas Obito showed his love for both of his team mates and evolved his eyes for both of them.

These are called Affection between two friends.

Now, how is this different from the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke???

Just Scroll above and look at the scenes between Naruto and Sasuke... how it is different from the bond between Obito and Kakashi.

There is no Obsession, no Repressed Feelings, no question of ‘What am I to you?’, no Unusual Body Touches, no Spitting Blood on other’s face, no Rain Water passing through one’s face and falls upon the other’s face, no Longing Stares and for fuck’s sake.... there is no confession at every time they meet alone!!!!

Naruto and Sasuke were alone during their battle with Haku - “I hated you... My Body moved on it’s own.... Don’t you die” - A confession.

They were alone during VoTE1 - “To me, you’ve become my closest friend” - A Confession.

Under the Bridge, inside Psychic Plane - “You are my Goal. I wanted to be cool and strong like you”. - A confession.

VoTE2 - Chapter 698 is entirely a confession....

What the fuck is this?????

Why confess if they see each other as Brothers or Friends???? Kakashi and Obito had never confessed that they have become friends... It just happened on it’s own.

Why is it that when it comes to Naruto and Sasuke, Hashirama and Madara, to an extent Haku and Zabuza (Even though I don’t ship them)..... Many of those Romantic tropes have been played between them???

Or let me put it this way, Why is it that the relationship between Obito and Kakashi felt neat, direct and no-weird??? Whereas the relationship between Hashirama and Madara felt unusual, intense, obsessive and sometimes uneasy???

It’s because Hashi and Madara were never written to be friends or brothers.

[[Disclaimer: I used the word ‘Creeped out’, ‘uneasy’ a lot throughout this post. Don’t mistake me that I got creeped out because such an intense scene was happening between two guys. It’s quite the opposite. If only those ‘creepy’ scenes happened between a boy and a girl.... I would have freaked out and stopped watching it. Because I watched this series under the assumption that it’s an anime that targets 12 year old kids. If only Hashirama was a girl and Madara flashed Hashi’s face like a trophy...it would be much more horrible ]]

Anyways, to conclude this super-lengthy post...

I am totally not the right person to say whether Sasuke is Gay or not. But with the way he was written, Sasuke definitely has certain child-like ‘attraction’ on Naruto, I mean, Sasuke liked Naruto’s presence and narratively he was the most sexualized character in Naruto Series.

We really need only two brain cells to realize ‘Why does the most Sexualized character in Naruto series always ends up being in an awkward situation which involves only Men and especially he has certain Obsession & Weakness towards Naruto?’

Sasuke may not be Gay... He may very well be an asexual or pan-sexual or demi-sexual. But he isn’t Straight either. He was never interested nor obsessed with any girl. Added to that, his portrayal as a Casanova in Road to Ninja, I am very positive that he is not Straight.

When 2 people of same Gender show their love without hiding any feelings, without obsessing over the other, then that is called just Affection.

When 2 friends of same Gender are ‘attracted’ (non-sexually or sexually) and at the same time ‘Obsessed’ with each other with some crazy amount of repressed feelings, which makes you wonder, ‘Wait!!!! What’s going on?’ then that is called Homo-Eroticism...
