no bc I agree w everything you are saying about Buck!!!
I always got the vibe from s1 that he wanted more than the hookups
YEAH EXACTLY like maybe this is just my headcanon but. idk. buck's behavior never struck me as malicious & i think it's quite normal for people to seek out sex for pleasure and fun & whatever other reasons that are not directly connected to relationships.
and with buck's whole 'buck 1.0' era i never interpreted it as a misogynistic "women are only useful for sex" thing. to ME, i always felt more like it was the opposite, that buck learned early on that he's 'too much' for people but at least they found him attractive and were willing to fuck him, & that hookups were a way he could at least guarantee he wouldn't be alone for a second. that he could at least allow himself to be wanted this way, even if it was temporary and ultimately made him feel worse (hence why he stopped) because it was never a true replacement for the love and intimacy and connection he wanted so badly from everyone else, but he pretended it was enough until it just resulted in him getting hurt worse and worse (i may or may not have some Strong Opinions on the creepy therapist debacle in s1)
and because buck is notoriously excellent at masking his true emotions and motivations, when people make jokes about buck being a player or a womanizer, i feel like he runs with the punches & lets himself be the butt of the joke bc it hurts less than admitting "actually i just wanted someone to love me and sex made me feel loved for 5 minutes of my life" thanks for comign to my ted talk

Be mine?
Tate Langdon x female!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Meeting you was his destiny. He had to make you his so he could feel alive... It was meant to be.
Genre: Smut.
Word count: 3,172
Warnings: Virgin and inexperienced reader, mentions of bullying, self-harm (just once and is nothing detailed), obsessive and stalkish behavior, swearing, cunnilingus, fingering, unprotected p in v and cumshot.
A/N: English isn't my first language and this is my first time writing smut, so sorry if it sucks or if I have grammatical mistakes or something TT. Btw, also sorry if Tate's out of character. Anyways, hope you enjoy it!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ཐི ♡ ཋྀ
Tate had another bad day. It was the usual. Bullying, failed tests, the teacher humiliating him after he couldn’t solve a simple equation on the chalkboard, his mother scolding him. Nothing seemed new, and it seemed that nothing wasn’t going to change at any point.
He needed something, a reason to live, something to make him feel alive. Because he was dead. Dead in life, which in his own opinion, was even worse than being a rotten corpse.
He headed to the music store after secretly stealing some of his mom’s money, just a few bucks; the enough amount to buy a vinyl or some CD’s. Tate was sort of a music elitist, always believing that the artists nowadays just created pure, hollow, and trashy songs. In fact, he didn’t believe those could even be considered music.
Walking around the nearly empty store, rummaging through the shelves filled with Nirvana vinyl’s, someone bumped into him.
“Oh, sorry.” You spoke, after accidentally taking too many steps back and bumping into Tate’s behinds.
He frowned, somewhat annoyed at you for disturbing his moment of peace. The blonde turned around to look at who it was, scanning your body from head to toe, taking note of your appearance. Then, his dark eyes drifted to the sign that was on top the shelf, which indicated the musical genre of the records that were on that rack. Alternative pop. His gaze went to the album you were hugging to yourself.
“Cry Baby? What type of crap is that?”
“Huh, excuse me?”
“Never mind, you won’t understand.” Tate talked in such a volatile and rude manner, already feeling superior because of his likes.
You arched an eyebrow. What was his problem? You did nothing to him and yet he was here, judging your amazing music taste.
“Well, people’s free to like whatever they want to, hmm?”
“Uh, yeah, but what’s the point of that if everything is so generic?”
“Have you ever listened to Melanie Martinez at least once?”
He shook his head no, still scowling, now fidgeting with a ring that was on one of his fingers.
“Have you listened to Nirvana?”
“Just like… Two songs?”
“Don’t tell me. Smells Like Teen Spirit?”
“Guilty.”
Tate rolled his eyes. What was going on with this generation? What happened to good music, to the greatest artists? Why was everyone just listening to trash?
After sharing your names and a few more words, debating about who was right and who wasn’t, you placed one of your hands over his right shoulder, as an attempt to stop his rant of how superior he was. And indeed, it worked. The teen stopped venting and stared at you, all confused and a bit uncomfortable. You noticed it and quickly stepped back, apologizing for touching him without permission. He told you it was okay, that you just surprised him. But deep down, that simple yet complex touch meant a lot to Tate, even if it was absolutely nothing to you.
For the first time he felt something more than sorrow.
“So… What do you think of this? I’ll make you listen to some songs by Melanie and other artists, and I’ll listen to your beloved beautiful grunge music.” You said those last words in a mocking way.
Tate huffed, clearly offended by the way you referred to his taste. Nevertheless, in the end he agreed with you.
After paying the stuff you two picked, both of you went to Tate’s place. As you walked next to him, your fingers brushed his, making his cheeks turn a light shade of red and his heart flutter. He felt dizzy, not sure about what was going on.
In his house, he took you to his room. The boy didn’t want his mother to see you, otherwise she’d be too nosy and probably scare you and push you away from him, and that was the last thing he wanted.
“Get comfy.” He mused, extending his hand as if inviting you to take a seat wherever you feel to.
“Thanks.” You sat on the floor, using one of the sides of the bed as a support for your back. He did the same and sat right next to you.
He was nervous. So damn nervous and excited. He brought a pretty chick to his place. The Tate Langdon, the outcast, the bullied, that Tate Langdon was in the same room with a girl? He couldn’t believe it.
“Ladies first.” Tate pointed the record-player with his thumb, and you obeyed, placing the CD in it. The music started playing.
“We could’ve used Spotify, y’know?”
“Nah, I don’t like it. I prefer the old school.”
‘Cry Baby’ was the first track that was listened to.
He squinted his eyes and rubbed his chin, analyzing the sounds, the melody, the harmony and of course the lyrics.
Although it wasn’t his style, you definitely were. The way you looked, talked, walked. How you stood up for your beliefs and didn’t allow him to step on you (even if you just discussed about music). It was new for him. He craved your independence. He craved you.
That was the very moment when he realized that you were the thing he was looking for all his life. You were the one who was meant to be his, he was meant to be yours. It was destiny. Tate truly believed it was some kind of divine prophecy, and he wasn’t going to let you go.
He was so immersed in his mind that he didn’t pay attention to the song anymore. He was solely focused on you, remembering how warm and kind your touch was, how sweet your voice was. ‘Oh, she’s mine’, he thought.
“So… That was the first track. Its name’s Cry Baby. Did you like it?”
Tate snapped out of it and bit his bottom lip. He didn’t listen to your question.
“I’m sorry, what did you?—”
“Did you like the song?”
“Ah, yeah yeah. It’s quite… Innovative. I’ve never heard something like that.”
You smiled and clapped your hands. “Of course! She’s such a genius. Let’s finish the album, hm?”
He just nodded, as a little smirk appeared on his face.
The days flew by, and Tate asked you out on many friendly dates. Or at least that’s what you thought because you were so oblivious at the fact that he had a fat crush on you.
With every hang out, you noticed that Tate was lonely. Like, really lonely. Maybe that’s why he was so clingy with you.
He told you about his family, about how annoying Constance was, about his siblings and about how his father left him behind. He also mentioned the bullying he suffered and almost talked about the self-harm but stopped himself.
Both of you grew closer, as his obsession.
Since you went to a different school, he would skip class and infiltrate your campus just to see you. He couldn’t stand being away from you. And if he did, his mind was full of you, thinking of you all day, unable to focus on his homework and tests. Tate didn’t care anymore if he failed subjects, as long as you were next to him, he was happy and alive.
The void he once felt, was now fulfilled with your mere presence. You could step on him, and he would thank you. In his twisted little mind, you were free to have everything of him.
He was willing to do anything to keep you by his side. The thought of losing was so terrifying that it would make him throw up.
Tate learned every single detail about you. Your mannerisms, your likes and dislikes, your dreams, and your fears. Everything. And that includes your schedule since you wake up, and since you go to sleep.
That was his definition of love. No one ever taught him about how to express it, and he ended up being the way he was with you.
One day he invited you over to his place. The Langdon's house was empty, and he was going to take advantage of it. No doubt.
“Your mom isn’t home?” You questioned as you followed him behind, going upstairs straight to his bedroom. Little did you know this wasn’t going to be another afternoon of playing board games while listening to some music.
“Nah, dunno where she went but she won’t be back any time soon.” He shrugged and let you inside of his private space,
You went to lay down on bed, feeling relief in your aching back after a long day at school. “Damn, I need some rest!”
Tate chuckled softly and sat on the edge, looking at you as you closed your eyes and tried to relax. He was focused on your steady and calm breathing, on how your breasts went up and down with every inhalation and exhalation. His eyes stared at your lips, at how kissable they looked. He felt a sudden desire, the intense urge to make you his. Feeling conflicted, he shook his head and tried to distract himself, pretending to ignore how aroused he was getting.
He wasn’t going to say it out loud, but of course he already had some wet dreams of you. He imagined you beneath him, your precious body shivering and responding to his touch, to his kisses. Your cunt wet and ready for him, just how he wanted to.
“Y/N…” Tate cooed, unable to hold back any longer.
“Yeah?” You opened one of your eyes and spotted him, sitting on the bed with his fists clenched over his thighs, while his breathing looked kinda rapid. “You ‘kay?”
“No.”
“Uh? What’s wrong?” You reincorporated and sat straight beside his warm figure. Your right hand touched his left, rubbing it up and down with your thumb.
Tate shoved you to the bed, pinning your arms above your head and holding them tight.
His breathing pattern was no longer normal. It was a heavy one.
His dark brown eyes locked with yours. Your orbs were wide, not understanding what the hell was going on. Or maybe you did but were in denial.
“Please. I want you.” He purred, seeing you with puppy eyes, the ones he knew you couldn’t resist.
“Hahah, you funny.”
He let out a frustrated whine, almost begging on his knees for you to get the hint.
“I’m not kidding. Pretty please. I need you.”
“Do you mean…?” You raised your head a few centimeters to look at his crotch in order to confirm your suspicions. Your cheeks had a cute blush as soon as you noticed Tate’s erection restrained by his jeans. It looked painful, and it actually was.
“Yes. I want to. Please, I truly need it. Please, please, please?” His voice was shaky and low, a needy desperate whisper. “Can I?”
This wasn’t what you expected for today. You saw Tate as a best friend, but you couldn’t deny he was handsome… And that he already provoked butterflies in your stomach before.
Hesitantly, you gave a shy nod with your head, giving him consent to continue. “But Tate… I’ve never done this before, I dunno what to do, I—” You trailed off, being cut off mid-sentence when Tate placed his lips over yours. The kiss was slow and tender, not rough at all. Your bottom lip was between his, as he nibbled it with extreme care to not hurt you.
After some seconds, he pulled apart and led his hand towards the side of your face, brushing some hairs away. “Don’t ya worry, princess. Leave it all to me, hm? I’ll be gentle. Unless you don’t want me to.” With that being said, he leaned into your neck, pressing his mouth on your sensitive flesh. He left sweet kisses, making you hum as you melted under him.
His lips continued to tease your skin, leaving some little bites between every kiss, trailing down to your collarbone. Tate stopped there and helped you get rid of your blouse, tossing it aside and continued his journey, this time kissing your sternum while his right hand cupped one of your breasts, kneading it gently over the fabric of your bra. He pulled down the straps and took off the piece of lingerie, setting your tits free.
The cold air hit you and your nipples perked up, looking ravishing and making him desire you even more.
He introduced one of the hardened buds into his warm mouth, sucking it greedily and making lewd wet sounds as he did so. His left rubbed the other nipple in circles, taking it with his thumb and index, pulling it and pinching it.
“Hmph… Huh…” You let out soft whimpers, slightly arching your back meanwhile he abused your breasts.
Tate stopped after some minutes, letting go of your nipple and looking at you, grabbing your chin and tilting your head to the side. He approached your ear and whispered, “You like this?”
“Yes…” You begged. Your voice was already ragged and shaky.
Instinctively, you pressed your thighs together, rubbing them as a pathetic try to feel some relief. Tate realized it and spread your legs with one of his hands. He took his digits right to your clothed pussy, eagerly rubbing the spot where your clit was.
“Someone’s already wet? Cute.” He giggled and took off his striped sweater, throwing it away. He positioned himself between your limbs and pulled down your pants, mesmerized as he saw your damp panties. Tate continued rubbing your bundle of nerves over the fabric of your underwear, still fascinated at how humid you were.
This was the moment he had been waiting for the past weeks. He wasn’t going to need to jerk off to your photos anymore, because now he would be able to jerk off to your tits in person.
Tate removed the last barrier that was stopping him from touching your womanhood directly. He pulled them down to your ankles and you helped him to get rid of it by shaking your feet.
He got closer to your cunt and placed your legs over his shoulder, spreading your folds with two of his large digits, blowing some air at the sensitive meat. Finally, he started sucking on your swollen clitoris, enjoying the feeling of your dampness against his face.
“Mmh…” He moaned, still toying with the nub. You grabbed him by the hair, not thinking about what you were doing. You just let yourself go and pulled him closer to your pussy, wanting to feel more. Your body twitched, unconsciously bucking your hips against his mouth that was currently making slurping sounds.
His attention changed and was now on your slit, teasing just the entrance with his hot tongue, while his nose rubbed against your clit. He lapped your pretty cunt, savoring your juices as if they were a delicacy.
Looking at your adorable face contorting in pleasure, he introduced his ring finger into your wet, tight hole. It was a slow and kind movement because the last thing he wanted was to hurt you. He slipped it deeper, pumping it in and out with care, increasing speed after a few seconds once he saw you comfortable. “Tell me if it hurts…”
“Mhm… It feels nice. Huh…” Your melodic whimpers and moans were just too much for him. He could listen to you for the rest of his days and never get tired of you.
Without further ado, he introduced his middle finger, now finger-fucking you with two. Tate’s thumb was also working wonders on your lil’ bundle of nerves in circular motion.
She was clenching around Tate’s large fingers, that he curled inside of her, hitting the right spot to make you squirm and feel a new and foreign sensation in your lower belly.
“Fuck it, I can’t wait anymore.”
He undid his belt, unzipped his pants and pulled down his boxers, quickly getting rid of them and letting them fall to the wooden floor.
You just stared in awe; it was the first time you saw one in real life.
Tate grabbed his hardened cock and stroked it a few times on top of you, finding amusing your silly reaction. The reddish tip was glistening with pre-cum, which he used as lube. He spat at your pussy and rubbed his slick saliva with two digits, before finally thrusting his dick.
He did it slowly, beginning with the head. Eventually, he pushed his entire length, hitting your cervix and stretching you out for the first time.
“Fuck, you’re so tight!” Even if he was taking the lead, he was a whiny mess, vocal and loud.
He continued pounding into you, his gaze never leaving your face. Tate loved how you rolled your eyes to the back of your head and how your little mouth was letting out such nasty sounds.
The room was filled with slapping and wet sounds, created by his skin slapping against yours, his balls always hitting you with every stab. Again, he placed your legs on his wide shoulders to have a better angle and pump into you deeper than before.
His big veiny hands were roaming all over your body, specifically your breasts. Within minutes, he developed an addiction to them. Probably because of his mommy issues? He grabbed them roughly, tweaking both of your nipples as he fucked you mercilessly.
Tate lolled his head as he felt your hole gripping him tight. Very tight.
He increased the pace and moaned your name, begging you to squeeze him tighter.
“Oh, please, please, please!” The blonde kept whining. He left one of his hands taking care of your nipples, while the other went back to torture your clit. He stroked it in circles, and then up and down, applying the enough amount of pressure to make you beg for more.
“Tate, I feel like I’m—”
“It’s okay, let it go, mhm?”
You couldn’t hold yourself any longer and squirted all over him, coating his lower body with your warm fluids.
“Oh, oh, oh, oh, gonna cum!” Tate pulled out from your cunt and pumped his cock with his hand finishing with a loud moan. His hot sticky white cum coated your breasts and abdomen, creating an incredible sight that he always imagined.
All spent, Tate threw himself next to you on the bed, pulling a blanket to cover both of you as he filled your pretty face in candy pecks.
“Did it hurt? First time usually does.” He looked at you, concerned for your wellbeing. “I was too rough?”
You laughed and shook your head no, caressing his messy locks with your fingers, tenderly scratching his scalp. “Don’t worry, I’m fine, really.”
Tate smiled at you and kissed you on the lips, “You’re so pretty, Y/N.”
You hugged him from behind, him being the little spoon this time. Your mind was going wild; you were still processing what happened and was about to drift to sleep when he whispered.
“Y/N…?”
“Mh, what is it, Tate?”
“I love you… Please be mine?”

Gale x reader, where she works at the 100 and gale thinks she comes from nothing and a hardwarding woman and he finds that attractive but then finds out she’s really from a rich wealthy family and he kinda feels betrayed in a sense
hello! 😊 thank you for your request, I loved it so much and it made me think of a Downton Abbey inspired scenario (just a little) 🥰 I wanted Buck and The Reader to have a happy ending no matter what, though, so I kinda lost control and wrote almost 6k words of this fic 🙈 long live the drama!!! 👑
reqests for buck and feyd are open btw 😇
Tumblr media
Out of all the women working at the base, Buck Cleven liked (Y/N) the most. She was a local, British woman helping with the papers in the archives. Most people didn’t know a lot about (Y/N). She was a mystery and rarely talked about herself but Buck loved how eloquently she sounded and how well-read she was.
She was helping him to fill the papers for the Colonel and they quickly befriended each other. There was something about him that made her open up a little. They started to take walks in the evenings around the base and talk about their lives.
“Where are you from?” He asked her. “Somewhere around?”
“Yes,” she nodded and looked away quickly.
“We don’t have to talk about it,” Buck assured her. “I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
“It’s fine,” she shrugged her arms, visibly uneasy. “What do you want to know?”
“Your parents…?” Buck took her hand gently and she smiled, allowing him to hold her fingers like that.
“They’re both alive if that’s what you’re asking. My father is…” she was looking for the right word, “...managing some land. We are not close, though.”
“So, he’s a farmer?” Buck raised an eyebrow.
“I guess you can call him that,” she nodded shyly and bit on her lower lip.
“How do you know how to use a typewriter and all those books you’re talking about?” Buck chuckled softly.
“Oh, so farmer girls can’t be intelligent?” She asked, playfully. “I’ve been working hard to get out,” she assured him.
“I know what it’s like. But I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for a woman. I admire you,” he nodded and leaned in to place a soft kiss upon her lips, taking her breath away.
She was confident, good at her job, intelligent, witty and to him she quickly became the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He would smile any time he saw her walking by and he would call her a farmer girl, to which she’d reply pilot boy. (Y/N) reminded him of his mother. The way she had come from nothing and worked hard to prove her worth, the way she was so soft-spoken, so elegant in the way she moved despite her harsh upbringing. She felt like home to him. Buck Cleven gave her heart and soul. He was already thinking of proposing to her after finishing his twenty fifth mission. He didn’t want to ask her anything of that sort too early. He didn’t want to ask her to marry him and then die. No, he had to wait.
But other things did not wait. He was a gentleman and she was a proper lady but since he could go down any day, they just allowed the heated moment to take them one of the nights in her small office next to the Colonel’s one. It didn’t feel wrong at all. It was no sin to love and be loved. Buck could already imagine them growing old together and raising their children. He would take her home with him or he would stay in the United Kingdom. For her he would.
And then, a week after giving each other a physical proof of their love, an expensive looking black Rolls-Royce parked in front of the base. Buck was there, too, talking to Harry Crosby, as they both observed an elegant driver leaving the car and looking around, visibly lost.
“Excuse me,” the man approached them. “I’m looking for Lady (Y/N) (Y/L/N),” he explained. “I do believe she happens to work here.”
“You’re looking for (Y/N)?” Harry furrowed his brows and scratched behind his head. “I’ll go for her,” he nodded and went inside the building.
Buck was left alone with the stiff and elegant driver.
“How do you know (Y/N)?” He asked him and the man blushed uncomfortably.
“I’ve been working for Lady (Y/L/N)’s family for ten years now,” the man answered.
Buck was confused. He had no idea that farmers in the United Kingdom could afford their own limousines and drivers.
“Tommy!” (Y/N) ran out of the building and the man straightened himself at the sight of her. “What are you doing here?!” She snapped at him angrily as everyone around started to watch the scene curiously. Buck had never seen her snapping at someone for no reason this way.
She would get angry when someone was lazy with filling the papers but even then her annoyance had some smooth and elegant undertone. But the way she treated the driver was signalising a different sort of dynamic between them two. He cleared his throat and looked down like a child scolded by his mother.
“Lady (Y/L/N), do forgive me… but I bring urgent news from Rosefield Hall,” the driver told her and handed her a letter from the inside pocket of his jacket. “It is about the Earl of Peterborough’s health,” he added.
(Y/N) grabbed the letter and opened it nervously. She gasped as she read it and her hands began to shake.
“I must… I must go home…” She whispered and handed the letter back to the driver before running to the building where the sleeping quarters for women were.
Buck followed her, demanding answers, as his heart was already stinging in his chest. He wasn’t sure if he was ready to know some of these things but he had to.
“What is going on, (Y/N)?” He asked as she was packing her things chaotically into a suitcase.
“My grandfather is dying, I must see him,” she explained nervously.
Her grandfather…? The only man whose health had been mentioned was some Earl of Peterborough.
“I am sorry to hear that,” Buck took a deep breath in. “But what’s going on with that driver? The Rolls-Royce? Rosefield Hall? Why is that man calling you a Lady? Who's the Earl of Peterborough?”
(Y/N) froze for a second with one of her blouses in her hands as she was about to throw it carelessly into the suitcase. She looked up into his eyes and Buck Cleven did not recognise his girl at that moment.
There was something different about her. Something cold and unreachable. Something posh. Her glance could kill and he would rather face the Luftwaffe missiles than her eyes.
“The Earl of Peterborough is my grandfather. Rosefield Hall is my home. I’m Lady (Y/N) (Y/L/N) of Rosefield Hall,” she informed him and he took a step back, furrowing his brows. “What? You’re really surprised, Major? Did you really expect a farmer girl to know Kant or quote you Charlotte Brontë? I’m rather surprised that you know them,” she pointed out.
Buck didn’t say anything at first as his mouth opened slightly and blood in his veins ran cold.
“So, you lied,” he whispered, feeling his heart shattering into a million pieces.
“No. I have never called myself a farmer girl. You’ve been calling me that,” she shrugged her arms.
“I don’t understand…” He shook his head. “Why couldn’t you just tell the truth?”
“Because I didn’t want to be treated differently,” she threw the blouse inside the suitcase angrily and went back to grabbing other things. “I didn’t want to be teased by a bunch of Americans for being a Lady. I wanted to blend in.”
That part was understandable for Buck and it was making him feel better, too, to know that she didn’t want to use her titles for getting special treatment.
“But why did you lie to me when we were alone? I wouldn’t tell anyone…” His voice shivered and he hated himself for letting her see how weak he had become for her. He hadn’t minded showing emotions in front of her before but now it suddenly started to feel too exposing and too humiliating.
“I didn’t lie because I was scared you would tell. I know you would not, Buck,” she shook her head and looked into his eyes again, attacking him with one final blow of the coldness of her gaze. “I gave you what you wanted, Cleven. You wanted me to be a determined working class little mouse that you’d offer a better life one day. And I lied because…” She hesitated as she bit on her lower lip. “Because I wanted you to like me,” she admitted casually and closed the suitcase.
Buck was petrified as he watched her. She lifted up the suitcase and that was when he hurried to her side.
“Let me help you, Lady (Y/N),” he tried to make a joke to release the tension, still too shocked to process the situation properly.
“You don’t have to call me a Lady, Buck,” she informed him. “And the suitcase is light.”
“Don’t have to?” Buck stood still as he watched her walk out the door. “Well, thank you very much for being so merciful and allowing me to ditch the title while I’m addressing you,” he clenched his jaw. She furrowed her brows at him.
“Oh, Buck, that’s exactly why I was lying, can’t you see? But I wasn’t lying about everything, I can assure you of that. It wasn’t a bored rich girl’s game. I will contact you soon, I promise,” she gave him the last, beautiful smile and walked out of the room.
Buck kept watching through the window. The people from the base were gathered around, pointing fingers at her. She approached the Colonel and explained some things to him as he nodded. He had to be the only person who knew her secret. The driver put the suitcase in the Rolls-Royce’s trunk and opened the door for her. She looked around, probably searching for Buck’s face amongst the curious crowd but he wasn’t there. So she sat inside and they drove away.
Buck didn’t know if she had tried to contact him or not like she had promised because he went down a week later.
Tumblr media
One and a half year later he was back and everything felt so odd and out of place when he was going through his old things. One of them was a black and white picture of (Y/N). He took it in his hands and caressed it gently.
After everything he had been through in Germany, he was a different person now. He forgave her as he didn’t want to hold any resentment in his heart. And the memory of her – even if it hadn’t been the real her – had been keeping him alive on the cold and scary nights. A tiny hope to perhaps be able to see her again and explain a few things.
“You’re still thinking of her?” Rosie asked, awkwardly and Buck nodded.
“Sometimes,” he lied. It was way more often than sometimes.
“Actually, she did send you a letter,” Harry told him. “I have it in my office, unopened. It came two weeks after you had gone down. I wrote to her that you had been captured by the Germans when we found out but I never got the reply. Do you want her letter?”
“Yes,” Buck nodded. “You could send it to the camp through the Red Cross.”
“I could have but there was no guarantee you’d get it. They’d most likely lose it,” Harry told him and left the room to go to his office.
“Did she ever come back here?” Buck asked Rosie and his friend shook his head while pursing his lips.
“No, I’m sorry.”
Buck nodded, waiting in silence for Harry to be back with the letter. Thankfully, he was quick.
“Here it is,” he handed Buck the envelope and sat back on the edge of the bed.
The envelope was elegant and there was a picture of the family crest on it. Buck felt uncomfortable opening it but on the other hand, such a long time had passed that whatever was inside, was most likely no longer accurate anyway. The past couldn’t hurt him because it was unchangeable now.
Dear Gale, my pilot boy, My grandfather passed away two weeks ago. I was close with him, therefore it is a great loss for me to grieve after. I know I have promised to contact you and possibly explain everything but there is an urgent matter I have to discuss with you first. I fainted in the church during the funeral. It was not a big deal and I did not make any fuss about it but my doctor insisted on taking blood tests to make sure I was okay. Yesterday I had an appointment with him and he told me I was expecting. You can only imagine what a shock that was for me. He promised me he would not inform my father for now, until I contact you. But he is my father’s close friend and I do not trust him. You see, I was not lying when I said I was not close with my father. I know he will not be pleased with my pregnancy. I am scared. Can you please come to visit me? My parents were opposed to the idea of me working for the military so they will not allow me to leave again, especially in the time of grieving. My darling, there is not a day going by without me missing you and regretting the way I treated you. The things I said, I wish with all my heart that I could take them back. I kept lying to you for so long but please, do know, I have never lied when I said “I love you”. I do not expect anything from you – I do not even expect you to take responsibility for this child. And I know it is a complicated situation since we are from very different families and different countries but please, I need you to come here as I have to discuss this matter with you face to face. Yours, forever yours and only yours, (Y/N)
When he finished reading the letter, his hands were uncontrollably shaking. He checked the date of the letter – 20th of October 1943. It was the summer of 1945 already and he had left her with no reply all this time.
If the child had been born in the meantime, they would be one year old by now.
Buck stood up so rapidly that he got dizzy for a moment.
“What happened?” Rosie looked up, worryingly.
“I need to… I need to borrow a car,” Buck told him. “I have to go to that Rosefield Hall. Immediately,” he explained.
“But why?”
“I… I can’t… I will tell you when I’m back,” it felt difficult to say all these things out loud. He was anxious about what had happened to (Y/N) and their child and he was in a state of shock after finding out about the child in general. The way she had apologised and assured him of her love had also brought him a deep comfort and relief. He had to see her and he could only hope it wouldn’t be too late.
Harry nodded, realising that it was something important and he respected his friend’s decision not to share the details yet. He ran out of the building to talk to the Colonel about the possibility of using one of the military cars from the base.
Ten minutes later, Buck was already behind the wheel, studying the map on his lap with Rosie leaning on the car and peeking inside through the window.
“Rosefield Hall, here it is,” he found it and pointed with his finger. “About an hour away from here.”
“I can make it in 40 minutes,” Buck said.
“Man, be careful. 20 minutes won’t save you after such a long time,” Rosie furrowed his brows. He didn’t like the state his friend was in. “Listen, I’ll go with you,” he proposed. “You’re out of your mind.”
Buck tried to protest but he gave up seeing Rosie already sitting on the passenger seat. He sighed and started the engine. On their way to Rosefield Hall, he opened up to his friend and told him about everything. Rosie’s eyes were widened throughout the whole ride.
“It’s like straight out of the movies,” Rosie commented.
“Thank you very much for cinematography of this sort,” Buck shook his head.
“Man, what are you even worried about? I mean, she’s some rich lady, what could have happened?” Rosie asked.
“What if she got rid of the baby? What if she’s married now? What if she died? Or the baby died? And I missed all of this?” Buck swallowed thickly.
“None of it would be your fault,” Rosie pointed out and then he gasped at the field they were approaching. “Look! Aren’t those roses?”
“Yes, they are. It’s a rose field,” Buck nodded. “Which means the house must be nearby.”
“You call that a house?” Rosie whistled at the sight of the mansion in the distance. “It’s a fucking palace.”
Buck didn’t say anything. Seeing a place where (Y/N) had been raised made him feel uncomfortable when he compared it in his head to his home back in the USA. He felt like a beggar on the street, knocking to get the first warm meal in a week when he parked the car on the driveway with a small fountain.
“Wait in the car,” he told Rosie and jumped out of the vehicle.
He was approaching the doors when they opened on their own and a grumpy butler walked out with a surprised face.
“Excuse me, sir, are you lost?” He asked.
“Is it Rosefield Hall?” Buck asked to make sure.
“Yes, indeed it is,” the butler looked him up and down.
“I need to see (Y/N),” Buck explained nervously and the man furrowed his brow. “I mean, Lady (Y/N)...”
“Who are you, sir?” The butler remained suspicious.
“Major Gale Cleven from The 100th Bomb Group,” Buck took the cap of his uniform off and squeezed it in his hands.
“Cleven… Cleven… Oh!” The butler’s eyes widened. “Come inside, Major,” he finally invited Buck inside the mansion. “You are lucky, Major, because the Earl is in London today and only the lady of the house is present. Please, do follow me, I will inform her,” the butler nodded at Buck and led him through the beautifully decorated corridors to one of the living rooms. “Please, wait here, Major,” the butler bowed his head down and left Buck alone inside.
Buck looked around nervously. The place looked like a movie set indeed. Perhaps there was some truth to Rosie’s words. He glanced at the framed pictures on the piano and the fireplace but none of the pictures was of his (Y/N).
The doors opened again and a dignified middle aged woman walked inside as the butler announced her.
“Countess of Peterborough.”
Buck bowed his head down, not knowing what to do. She laughed softly at that and approached him to grab his arms.
“Please, tell me you’re that American Major who got my girl in trouble,” she pleaded but there was no anger in her eyes, only hope.
“I believe I am, my lady,” Buck swallowed thickly. “Where is she? Can I see her?”
The Countess smiled sadly at him and pointed at one of the sofas. They both sat there and faced each other as if they were whispering big secrets between each other.
“What took you so long?” The Countess asked with pain in her voice.
“I was a captive in Germany for over a year. I’m back in the United Kingdom for a few hours, really,” he explained nervously. He had a very bad feeling about his (Y/N). The way her mother was so sad while talking about her, the way there were no pictures of her around… “Please, tell me she married someone else,” he mumbled out and The Countess furrowed her brows. “Just don’t tell me she’s… She’s dead.”
“Not dead, no,” The Countess explained and he sighed with relief. “My husband was furious when he found out about her pregnancy. She refused to get rid of your child, she claimed that she loved you,” The Countess broke yet another sad smile and Buck’s heart started to pound in his chest. “I tried to change his mind but my husband is a… stubborn man…” She swallowed thickly and looked down, uncomfortably. “He disinherited her and threw her out. I sometimes visit her, I’m trying to keep in touch and help her financially in secret… Oh, Major, please…” She looked up again into his widened and terrified eyes as she tugged on the sleeves of his uniform. “Please, get her out of that place and help her. You have a son, a baby boy. He’s a year old now and such a beautiful child. They both deserve so much better. She’s there because she chose you, she loves you… Please, help her,” The Countess sobbed.
“Excuse me, my lady… She is… where?” Buck asked, nervously.
“Convent Home for Unmarried Mothers,” The Countess explained. “Oh, Major, it is a dreadful place! My girl is slowly dying there, it’s so painful to watch. There is absolutely no joy and fighting spirit left in her anymore.”
Buck felt a stinging pain in his heart when he remembered his (Y/N) with her red lips and a wide smile, her sparkling eyes and her neatly combed hair. He couldn’t imagine her in a place like this.
“How could you let that happen?” He asked her mother, not holding back the anger of his voice.
“It works differently for people like us,” The Countess explained. “In many ways we are still in the XIXth century,” she added. “But I’m so glad you’re here, it gives me hope… Please, tell me you are here to take the responsibility.”
“Of course,” Buck straightened himself. He was a man of honour. “Just give me the address of that convent,” he told her and she smiled through the tears and stood up to grab a piece of paper and a pen to write down the address.
“By the way,” The Countess sniffled her tears back, “when you’ll be asking for her, don’t ask for (Y/N) (Y/L/N). My husband forbade her to go there under her real surname so she had to choose a new one for herself.”
“And what is it?” Buck stood up to get the papernote  from her.
“What do you think?” The Countess smiled at him softly. He had a feeling but didn’t want to make an idiot out of himself by saying it out loud so he remained silent and allowed her to answer the question on her own. “She goes by (Y/N) Cleven there,” she explained. “That’s how I knew it had to be you when the butler told me who was waiting for me downstairs. Because (Y/N) has never told me anything. She kept you as a secret in her heart. She was always a stubborn girl, a family rebel of some sort. So desperately she wanted to get out of here, to be away from her father – for which I can’t blame her, he’s a difficult man – that’s why she signed up to help in the military,” her mother explained. “I know, though, what she has told me. That there were misunderstandings between you two, some sort of argument and she regretted deeply for the way she had treated you. Please, do forgive her. She loves you so deeply, like I’ve never seen any woman of our sort to ever love a man. A rebel, as I’ve said.”
Buck’s head was spinning. He was glad for Rosie waiting inside the car because he wouldn’t be able to drive anymore. He only nodded at The Countess and hurried outside, not even waiting for the butler to open any doors for him.
He knocked upon the window and showed Rosie with his hand to get out of the car.
“What’s going on?” Rosie asked and Buck handed him the paper note with the address.
“Take me there. I can’t drive,” Buck looked down at his shaking hands. Rosie only nodded and they switched the seats.
The convent was another hour away. This time they were both sitting in the car in complete silence.
“Do you think I can just take her like that?” Buck finally asked when they were getting near. The sun was slowly setting in the sky with a beautiful orange hue.
“It’s XXth century, Buck, I’m sure she can just walk out of there any time she wants,” Rosie tried to cheer him up. “But where will you take her? Do you think the Colonel will let her stay with us at the base?”
“I will worry about that later,” Buck told him. “I want to get her out there first,” he explained and placed his hand on his chest as if this gesture would calm down his pounding heart when Rosie parked the car in front of the convent home. It looked like a scary and unpleasant place from the outside.
“Do you want me to go with you?” Rosie asked, worryingly.
“No. Wait here,” Buck nodded at him and walked out to hurry inside the building.
“Excuse me, sir, we are closed. You can come back tomorrow after nine am,” the nun sitting by the desk in the reception room told him.
“With all respect, I won’t wait until tomorrow,” Buck approached her and she looked up, scared. “I don’t want trouble,” he explained quickly. “I’m a pilot from The 100th Bomb Group in Thorpe Abbott, Norfolk,” he introduced himself and she nodded her head. “For the past year and a half I’ve been a captive in Germany,” he added and her eyes saddened. “I came back today only to find out that my child and his mother are here. Please, I want to see them.”
“Well, I think we can make an exception for you, sir,” the nun had lots of sympathy in her voice. “Let me ask the Reverend Mother,” she stood up and Buck nodded. “Please, wait here.”
So he waited, nervously squeezing his cap in his hands and looking around at the religious images on the walls. Finally, the doors opened and an elderly woman entered. She looked less nice than the previous one.
“Sister Cecila has told me your story, Major. I am willing to make an exception because of your bravery and service, sir,” she said and Buck sighed out of relief, giving her a nervous smile. “What is your name, Major?”
“Gale Cleven, sister,” he answered and she furrowed her brows.
“Ah…” She hummed to herself. “I know who you want to see then… Follow me,” she ordered and he nodded before walking out of the room after her.
She led him through a maze of cold corridors into the staircase and then upstairs to the living quarters. They were in a renovated part of the building but it was not very pleasant either. Buck felt a chill go down his spine at the sight and when he imagined (Y/N) and their son in a place like that.
“She was sent here by her father with no savings at all. Her mother sometimes sends us money for new clothes and toys but Miss (Y/N) is not interested in getting anything for herself anyway,” the nun explained. “She only cares about her son. She named him Winston.”
“It’s my middle name,” Buck told her as his heart filled with so much love for his son already at the sound of his name.
“I see,” the woman nodded her head and stopped in front of one of the doors as she searched for the right key on her keychain.
“Why is she being locked up?” Buck furrowed his brows and the nun gave him a scolding look.
“Do you think we let those harlots run around freely at night so they come back pregnant with even more mouths to feed?” She asked, accusingly.
Buck’s jaw clenched, trying very hard not to react in any way to her awful words.
She opened the door and then she pushed them open aggressively without knocking first. Buck’s heart skipped a beat at the sight of a small and neat room that was almost not decorated at all. (Y/N) was sitting on her bed with a little boy in her arms and reading a book to him, her finger was pointing at something on one of the pages but they both got startled by the nun entering the room rapidly.
“You have a guest, Cleven,” the nun told her coldly and stepped back for Buck to walk in awkwardly.
(Y/N) gasped at the sight of him as she dropped the book down on the bed. Her little boy, unaware of anything, reached out his little hands to grab the edges of it as he giggled.
“G-Gale…” (Y/N) left the boy on the bed and ran up to Buck.
He felt tears forming in his eyes at the sight of her. She looked like a shadow of her old self. But it was still her. His (Y/N) that he had been dreaming of for all these months in Germany.
“I thought I would never see you again… I got the letter from Harry, that you were a captive. But I didn’t expect you to come back for me…” She sobbed.
“I came back this morning and have been looking for you ever since,” he put his hands on her arms to calm her down. “Here, come to me,” he pulled her to his chest to hug her and she twisted the fabric of his uniform in her fist as she hid her face in it. The nun squinted her eyes at them. “Can you leave us alone, sister?” Buck asked her.
“It is out of the question!” She protested.
“I’m taking (Y/N) and our son away from here tonight anyway. Get out,” Buck snapped and she made an offended face before walking out.
“You… You really mean that?” (Y/N) looked up and Buck caressed her wet cheeks. Her eyes were so hollow now, her lips dry and shivering. “After everything I have done to you…? You still want me?
“I have forgotten already,” Buck smiled sadly at her. “I only remember how much I love you.”
(Y/N) sobbed once again and threw her hands around his neck.
“I will take care of you,” Buck promised and rubbed her back. He laid his eyes on his son who was sitting on his mother’s bed and playing with the book in his tiny hands but he was curiously looking up as well. “Will you introduce us?” He asked, nervously and (Y/N) took a step back and nodded, wiping her cheeks with the palms of her hands.
“Winston, baby, come to mummy,” she picked the boy up and he whined as he dropped the book. “Look, this is your daddy,” she approached Buck again as the boy widened his eyes. She kissed her son’s temple and handed the boy to Buck.
He held his son delicately and stared back into his eyes, feeling so much love and affection filling his heart that he was sure it would burst and explode any given moment. Little boy reached his hands out and caressed the scars on his father’s face. Buck felt the fresh tears streaming down his face.
“He’s so full of kindness,” (Y/N) explained in a whisper. “Just like you.”
“Pack your things, I want you out of here as soon as possible,” Buck told her and she nodded.
He kept staring in awe at his boy and allowed his little hands to caress his face curiously, giggling occasionally. In the meantime, (Y/N) was packing an old worn-out suitcase. Buck noticed that she was mostly packing Winston’s things and not her own. It made him sad to see her in such a state but it also filled his heart with even more love for her when he realised how much she loved their boy and how much she sacrificed for him. For all of that, he would now give her everything and she didn’t have to worry about anything anymore.
When she packed the suitcase, she nodded at him and they both walked out of the room where the angry nun had been still standing.
“So, you’re just going to walk out like that? In the middle of the night?” She asked (Y/N).
“I’m not a prisoner here, Sister Bertha,” (Y/N) reminded her. “And it’s barely eight pm.”
“And where will you even go?” The nun followed them nervously to the staircase.
“As far away from here as I can,” (Y/N) only told her and shrugged her arms.
The nun didn’t follow them downstairs. Buck and (Y/N) left the convent after saying goodnight to Sister Cecile sitting in the reception room. At the sight of them, Rosie jumped out of the car with a wide smile.
“Rosie!” (Y/N) ran up to him and hugged him.
“(Y/N)!” He picked her up to spin her around as she dropped her suitcase. “I’m so happy to see you again, we’ve all been wondering about you!” He put her down on the ground and he laid his eyes on the little boy in Buck’s arms. “And that must be your boy?”
“His name is Winston,” Buck told him with pride and Rosie winked at the baby boy who giggled in return.
“Let’s go back now, eh?” Buck told him and Rosie nodded. He picked the suitcase up and packed it inside the trunk.
Buck and (Y/N) both took the backseats with little Winston sitting on Buck’s lap. Their pinky fingers were touching delicately on the seat.
“I have only one question,” Buck looked at her softly when the boy fell asleep in his arms.
“Yes?” She turned her head around to look at him, too.
“Why didn’t you get out of there to find a job somewhere? You can use a typewriter and you’re well-read.”
“I didn’t have savings to get out like this. I was bringing this idea up to my mother but if she gave me more money, my father would realise. He is very controlling. I didn’t want her to be exposed to his anger because of me. And I… I just gave up, to be honest. My life didn’t seem to have any prospects anyway,” she admitted sadly. “There was no future for me.”
“There is a future for you,” Buck assured her and held her hand to squeeze it lightly. “Long and bright. I will give it to you.”

Buck breakdown meta(+ a little bit of divorce 2.0 era)
“Did you know you were clinically dead for three minutes?” - “Bobby” from Buck’s coma dream or Buck’s part of the brain that always helps him to find the answers (6x11)
“Buck, you died” - Maddie(6x12), Bobby (6x14)
“You died, Buck” Eddie (6x12)
Before I started this meta I remembered these three (well, technically four but how you can see Maddie and Bobby said the same thing) times someone said in real words what happened with Buck, what exactly he experienced in his life, how he lost it. Because it wasn’t just “an accident on the job”(Buck 6x14), not even a near death experience Buck had in his life before(and not once), because Buck is indeed a good “friend” and “old acquaintance”(Buck 6x15) with death since he was born (as a donor to dying child) and not just “for a moment” how he believes. But I haven’t remembered Buck himself (not a coma Bobby), especially after he woke up and “started his healing” (the lyrics of the song right before we see Buck after hospital in 6x11) saying it. And I really thought aha, you sneaky boy, you haven’t really recovered as you never even said “I died”. But he actually said it once, but, to whom do you think he said it?
To his sister who raised him as a parent and said “Buck, you died”? No.
To his father figure who he knows was praying to God sitting in his room, thinking  his another child is dying and he can’t AGAIN do something? To the man who was cradling him like a baby to put him on a gurney and wanted to take it easy on him in 6x14 because “Buck, you died”? No.
To his best friend, to whom he ran to hide from his sister’s fussing? To the man on whose couch he fell asleep seconds after sitting on it? To the man who tried hard to support him, how Buck supported him during his breakdown? No.
He said it to the woman he never met before (btw Natalia is cute and it’s not her bashing post. so DO NOT DO IT IN TAGS PLEASE), just a matter of factly, when helped her with her injury because he heard that she is “death doula”(but before it, he tries to say it in the other words)
Tumblr media
But even to her he says it ONLY THIS ONE MOMENT. When they met again he spoke about his death experience in the pattern we saw before.
And this pattern is : “When i woke up,” “I woke up in a world” “I recovered” “accident on the job”,  joking with Maddie, “it’s all a gift” or with Eddie not even himself in 6x12 talking about HIS death experience. With Eddie he asks about shooting, but Eddie makes it a conversation about “You died, Buck”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Buck doesn’t like when people talk about death, showing him their grief, so he tries to talk about his new life. He jokes, or moves the conversation to the point of talking about his new life, new possibilities for him, about how he processes he is still here, but NOT HOW HE DIED. Buck refuses to process that he died. Yeah, it happened, he knows everyone grieved him, but he refuses to talk about how it changed him and others. He just wants to accept changes not to “act” like an “old same Buck”(Buck 6x15) for everyone, but to be a new Buck. And who is perfect to make him think about not his death, but about how many new experiences he can have, if not the person who is amazed by his death, who thinks it is “cool” he had the opportunity to experience it and get back, if not the person who never grieved him? Natalia wasn’t around to see him dead, she wasn’t the one who saved him. And Buck knows his family had to see him like that and act to save him, but he can’t think about it. He concentrates on good things, on being alive, on moving forward, to see “what’s next” for him. And he refuses to look and speak about what happened before it, to really move from it.
But I think we all remember how Maddie said that Buck is more than good at pretending that he is ok(4x4). Remember how in therapy he said “You said, I hide my true feelings from others. You might be right”, but then what happened? Oh yeah “new Buck 3.0” and him forgiving his parents for going to therapy with him. Because he hides it not just from others, but from himself too. Acting as Buck 1.0, 2.0, etc. Buck knows how to repress his feelings and move on to a new stage. How to act as a new Buck, not just for everyone, but for himself too. How to believe he is ok.
And he for years was mistaken or even hiding a lot of his feelings, so it’s not hard for him to play like he moved on. And on the way to make everyone, except one person who till the last moment (cemetery seen) tried to make Buck talk about his death. Who was the last person to say it to Buck, who used death, and died, in one conversation right to the point till Buck with his words “She sees me. like she really sees me for who I am and what I’ve been through. I think she might even see more in me than I see in myself” almost stopped him. He stops for a moment. Tries to play with Buck on his rules, tries to wait for Buck again how he did in 6x12, but tries one more time to make Buck talk about death.
“You cheated death”
But Buck speaks about life. About lightning. About his new life being a gift.
“My life could have ended right then and there, but it didn’t. That has to mean something, right?” (Buck looks at Eddie because even closing himself he still need Eddie)
“It means you are one lucky guy”(Eddie does’t not look at him)
“Yeah, well, I don't think I’m gonna get that lucky again.”
“We, maybe you don’t have to. Lightning doesn’t strike twice at the same place.”
“Which is why I have to make the most of every single moment. Because from here right now out it's all a gift”
Tumblr media
And after that, Eddie, who thought he could give Buck the same “shoulder to cry on” and “sit with you” while you experience bad moments, stopped doing it. He looked at Buck and saw the man he saw, the man he thinks doesn’t need his help. Because Buck doesn’t look affected as Eddie expected him to be. Buck overplayed Eddie with his tires to prove he is ok. Eddie believed him. But also he heard that he is not that Buck needs to feel ok. He needs not that Eddie expected he would need (talks about his death and Eddie’s help), but someone else living with Buck his life and Eddie understood that Buck doesn’t need him at all.Not in the way he needed the man a year ago, crushing his room. And the feeling of loneliness he started to experience while he gave Buck time to come to him, before Buck pushed him away when he wasn't ready in the cemetery, just became all consuming. Because now Eddie believes Buck never needed him, how Eddie needs him. But the thing is, Buck needs him. He just pushed Eddie from him, because he feels that it’s dangerous to look at his death, because he doesn't want to be a burden, because he doesn't want to run in a circle of “someone loves me when I’m in pain” he did all his childhood. He doesn't want to experience love when he is broken, so he closes his death deep inside him, in a box. But we know how boxes explode if it’s too many things inside.
And let’s think that Buck has in his box: childhood of neglect, truck bombing, tsunami and embolism, well and shooting, ambulance hostage situation, Bobby shot, Maddie almost killed by Doug, the secret about Daniel being revealed, and then his real death. All it packed neat inside him, never spoken about. And after shooting we never heard him talking about therapy again. So Buck acts as a “new Buck” ALL THE TIME. Buck 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 it’s a proof. And he is just ready to be another “new Buck”, but others don't, because to see the new Buck they should fully grieve the old Buck. But Buck doesn’t want them to grief, he wants to joke and move on and that’s why he is feeling like he should stay “same old Buck”, act the same, but IT’S A PROBLEM. Because old Buck can’t help to mask the pain and fear from the death he experienced. Old Buck never looked at his life as a “gift”. This old Buck can’t help Buck to hide under this mask of everything being fine. And let’s nor forget how old Buck tried hard to find HAPPINESS. OLD BUCK WASN’T HAPPY. But the new Buck should be. He is still alive. His life has ended yet. But has he found his answer for happiness after death when Lev did it? No.
Buck's answer for happiness wasn’t shown, which means he tries to be happy, but he still doesn’t know HOW. And on the way he pushed his best friend from him, starting their as we call it in a fandom “divorce era 2.0”. Because it is what Buck does when he feels trapped (lawsuit waves at us). When Buck thinks he needs other things, not that others try him to do, speak about, heal properly before move on, not just “rush with his head first”, he pushes everyone from himself (yes yes boy with abandonment issue does it, but it is easier this way). In the lawsuit it was easier to blame Bobby, right now he ofc doesn’t blame Eddie, but he also doesn’t want Eddie to constantly talk about his death. So he pushed Eddie from himself.
So Buck can’t hide behind old, and new Buck is not something his family is ready to see, and it’s still an act. Buck is on the edge of breaking, and I’m sure in 7s it will happen. After Bobby's near death or maybe something else, but it will break him.
Now Eddie. Eddie, who already felt kind of alone, started his journey of trying to find someone who makes him feel not alone anymore. Who will make him feel enough. Because for Shannon, for Buck he wasn’t(at least it’s how he sees it).
That’s how he sees the cemetery. Buck pushes because Eddie is too much for him at this moment, because he isn't ready (something something “you need to move on. I did.” Eddie himself pushed Buck from himself when he wasn’t ready, but he thought if he would make Buck talk NOW Buck wouldn't break like him.) Buck wasn’t ready to be supported by Eddie, because he never was supported like that (Eddie wasn’t in a place to really support him after the fire truck. don't even start. Eddie was deep into his grief and “suck it up and move on” era to really support Buck on this deep mental level). But Eddie was finally in the place to give this support, and he felt like it’s not enough. So he dates, he meets Marisol. He opens himself to the world and new opportunities. Maybe even starting something serious in season 7, when Buck goes deeper and deeper in his own grief and pain of losing the life he had, of losing the part of himself, of not knowing who he is right now, how he should act.
Now we add Bobby’s and Athena’s water related near death experience and … BOOM. Buck is broken, a crying mess. Because he feels grief and fear of losing people he loves so hard, and he can’t imagine who they felt, and he can’t even say what the fuck is the answer to happiness. He doesn’t remember his death, but he remembers his coma, he remembers how he woke up, he remembers old him, but who is new Buck? To this we also add that he feels that his best friend pushed him away, not understanding he did it first(because he did it subconsciously trying to hide from his feelings).
Buck will break in season 7, because it's long overdue. He has so many things he never “allowed to feel it” before moving on. They can’t just stay forever inside him. “At some point that box is going to blow open. And take everyone around you”. Eddie was ready to support Buck and eventually in season 7 Buck would need it and Eddie would see that Buck needs him, he never allows himself to ask, to see what and who he needs. Buck always tries to look at himself through other people's eyes, still tries with Natalia. Maybe look at himself thought Eddie’s feel help him to see something new
Why I also see the possible divorce era 2.0 it’s because we started and continued 6s with domestic Buckley-Diaz scenes but scenes 6x13 Buck wasn't even talking about Chris. So I see it as a possible proof of divorce era, but after new stills I’m not so sure anymore

• Brothers in arms, these two have developed a bond that goes deeper than that of just any comrades. They work like a machine, gears oiled and intertwined, always moving forward and further into unknown territory.
• Ghost and Soap aren't romantically involved, but they don't mind it if it's the other. Both know and respect the other's boundaries; Gaz once called them psychics for understanding each other without so much as words exchanged.
• Their lives are anything but conventional so why shouldn't their relationship be too? It's a strange idea, sure. Much to your surprise though neither seemed taken aback or even shocked at the suggestion - not in the slightest, for they agree on more things than they disagree on.
• If you ever go on a mission with them and the team gets split up, both Ghost and Soap would find solace in knowing you're with the other, that you're well protected even in the face of death.
• Ghost and Soap are two different types of love; Ghost is more of a calm, quiet lover. No big words or pda but rather small acts of service and quality time. Ghost remembers all your quirks, all your likes and dislikes by heart. He prides himself in knowing you better than anyone else, reads you like an open book, and slowly... Opens up in and about himself, too.
• Soap is loud, if not a bit boastful. He doesn't mind calling you sweet nicknames, throwing a flirty line or two over comms. His love languages are words of affirmation and physical touch, and he isn't shy about giving nor receiving. He's quite sensitive to personal space and highly receptive of your emotional state.
• You know that Ghost has a hard time conveying his thoughts and feelings. Hell, he can't even decipher them himself most of he time. Comes with the life he agreed on living, doesn't make it any more frustrating when he refuses to elaborate on decisions he's made.
• Soap understands you both. He's had his fair share of troubles with the stoic Lt, and thus acts as a mediator. He jokingly calls himself the "peacekeeper of the 141", taking the deadly stares from both of you with stride.
• Ghost and Soap often share late night talks. It's an intimate moment between these two on an emotional level: Let the stars be witness to their hopes and dreams, their frustrations and fears, let their heart get lighter until the sun shines on them and reminds them of the hardships daylight brings.
• It's nights like those where Soap nudges Ghost in the right direction when it comes to you. Gentle but stern pushes towards an apology, in whichever form it may come in, Ghost's words carry nothing but candour. Be patient and he'll do his best to learn.
• "Live as if you're dead", they say, but how can one not feel alive when you love pulses hot through their veins? They should know better. They should know better than to let themselves fall for you like so and yet they're utterly powerless, for no knife may cut that damned red string.
Bonus:
Price raises a brow at whatever you three got going on, but chooses to remain ignorant as long as it doesn't affect work. If anything, he finds amusement in it; how the three of you bicker back and forth, how your dynamic confuses everyone not sharp enough to catch on. Besides, he's won quite a few bucks over drunken bets with Gaz - and he gets to see Simon more often too, rather than Ghost. A bonus if anything.

Hey! Could you please do an Eddie Munson X reader where Jason tries to hit on the reader and ask her on a date. She doesn’t want to and keeps saying that she has a boyfriend (Eddie) but he says “he’s not here now.” Maybe he gets annoyed and grabs your wrist or something but Eddie turns up and protects you from him
overprotective eddie fuck yeah (even tho this situation it's a v normal reaction so...regular protective eddie fuck yeah!)
you don't see jason for like a year after you graduate. mostly because you have no reason to because he's just genuinely just an all around asshole but also because he went off to some fancy ass university on a sports scholarship in illinois
you cross paths for the first time again over a year after you've all graduated; it's christmas time and he's home for the holidays
you're staying with eddie in the trailer; his uncle's away seeing family & all of your annoying relatives are over. it's just you and him and it's pure fucking bliss
that is until he accidentally blows the power w his guitar amp and you're left in the fucking cold
so he sends you packing down to goodwill one tuesday evening with 20 bucks in hand to buy whatever blankets you can find
eddie waits in the car because "he doesn't do well in the cold"
he's a terrible liar
anyways - you're crossing the street from his van when jason spots you. he's loitering outside family video; he looks the same as ever, just with slightly longer hair and a half-arsed attempt at a beard
he calls your name and it takes you a second to realise who it is. you give him a small smile and wave but the way he moves towards you implies he's about to make small talk
it's fine for the first two minutes. jason asks about work, your mum, the usual bullshit. it's not until he makes the suggestion of meeting for dinner the next day that you realise where the conversation is going
you know what he's getting at - according to his friends around hawkins, he has very little success with women
"my dad is friends with the owner of that new italian place down the street. we can get a few drinks and-"
"- i still have a boyfriend, jason. thanks for the offer though."
that's what jason's face falls: he had a crush on you for most of high school and it killed you a little bit inside when you started dating eddie in senior year
"c'mon, take a break from the trailer park trash-"
(that was when he took your wrist in his hand. hell fucking nO)
"- and spend the night with a proper guy. i'll treat you right."
it's at that point that you hear the door to the van slam and within seconds, a denim jacket and mass of curly hair is making its way across the road
"hey, man - didn't you hear them? back the hell off!"
eddie isn't overprotective by nature; he's chill as fuck 99% of the time but jason carver is the exception to the rule
he has an arm around your waist in seconds, chest puffed out as he pushes you behind him a little in an attempt to shield you from what he has deemed to be the worst man alive
"calm down, munson. i was just putting the offer out there"
and honestly it sort of boils eddie's blood a bit?? because he cares very little about how successful his classmates were, even less about what they think about him, but he has constantly thought about the possibility you might one day wake up and realise you can do better than a washed up musician
a guy like jason for example, who for all of his shortcomings, has a rich family, goes to a great university and will probably be in the nfl one day or some shit
but it's bullshit!! btw. because you literally would never even give another person a single thought. eddie is your whole life.
"you should go"
and surprisingly, jason does. he admits defeat, holds his hand up in defense and begins his walk home
which is when you press a kiss to eddie's lips and turn around to face your new enemy
"MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS, CARVER!"

I’m OBSESSED with the choices in last episode
- the first thing he remembers is Eddie calling him “cowboy”. The second thing he remembers is the Chris screaming in the tsunami.
- Buck literally thinking “you know who would believe that I’m trapped in an alternate reality? Chimney” and being RIGHT
- Thunder by Imagine Dragons playing when he goes to Chimney’s house
- “I know why your name is Chimney” and CUT. So good. I hope we never find out why his name is Chimney.
- They literally said “Buck is the only reason Bobby is alive. He’s also the only reason Eddie didn’t lose his son after a nasty custody battle btw” and I’m supposed to be normal about this????
- A guy goes into a coma and the entire A-shift doesn’t show up for work for like a week.
- That’s why the firefighter who went to Maddie’s house looked so mad, he was probably thinking “these freaks are gonna be MIA for god-knows-how-long. why are they so weird about each other”.
- Eddie looked sooooooo bad. Props to Ryan Guzman for looking like he hadn’t showered or slept in a week for the entire episode.
- we thought Eddie was gonna bring Chris to say goodbye but somehow it’s even worse???????? Chris getting so mad Carla had no choice but bring him to the hospital and then saying “you HAVE TO come back” because he has no choice, there’s no way he would leave them.
- Stoic-always-keep-his-cool-Eddie-Diaz randomly crying in the background A+++
- Everyone looks like they’re ready to jump off a bridge if things go south and May looks like she just shot a Dyson Airwrap commercial
- BOBBY. Oh my god Bobby.
- “Mom brought two kids into the marriage. You brought one”. Canon “Bobby Nash is Evan “Buck” Buckley parental figure” ao3 tag??? This FUCKING SHOW. I have no words. This is all i’ve ever wanted since Season 1 Episode 1.
- Sorry to insist on this but THAT’S HIS SON
- Buck decides to leave a world where his parents love him because he can’t save Bobby there. THAT’S HIS DAD. Buck Nash 4Ever.
- I already said it. I literally don’t give a shit about the Buckley parents. me @ their redemption arc: argue with the wall. Same goes for Chim’s dad. I have no idea why they decided to go with the “blood is thicker than water” stuff but that’s very conservative of them and I hate it. I’m gonna pretend the last 5-6 minutes don’t exist.
- Who did Buck go home with? I have no idea but probably Bobby or Eddie.
- i‘ m sorry but Buck running with Fix You playing in the background was too funny. And that’s what you missed on Glee.
- His imagination gives him Chris who’s looking for Eddie to convince him to stay in the dream. This means absolutely nothing.
- I was terrified what bullshit lesson he was gonna have to learn to wake up but what he had to learn was: you don’t have to fix everything, you just have to be Buck.
- Once again, Bobby and Buck relationship has my whole heart <333

so i’ve been thinking about it for an additional five minutes and here’s what i’ve got and its kinda blowing my mind. Each person in buck’s life either had a Moment with him either in the coma dream or at his real life bedside, with a few noted exceptions. I’ll explain:
Chimney: coma dream, and MY GOD did they make good use of him here. As the guy who is always first to believe in The Crazy he was PERFECT to be the guy who’s like “yeah alright, one ticket to the crazy train.” I’m sorry but Buck proving that he knew him by knowing why he’s called Chimney had me lollling
Hen: Sceptic. And in the coma dream as the milder voice of reason. Funny, and good at keeping things moving. She and Chimney were also great to have in imaginary land since they are the ones who are the most stable without Buck in their lives, likely because of how much they stabilize each other
Maddie: In the coma dream and IRL, but coma!Maddie is essentially Maddie from season 2. Literally heart breaking. Speaking of, my heart is still not over the way she saw the firefighter at the door and simply said “which one”
Athena and May: Buck’s (let’s face it) step-mom and by association, step sister. They’re in real life because without Bobby there, they don’t ever have much to do with him. They understand clear as day that Buck is Bobby’s other son, and they accepted it ages ago, to the point they find it amusing every step Bobby takes to realize it himself. (Back to Bobby in a moment.)
Eddie and Christopher: They’re of course in IRL because without Buck intervening as he does they wouldn’t have a place in his life or in each other lives (pause so i can SCREEEEEEEEEAM about this) In real life, they’re begging him to come back--or more accurately, Chris is, while Eddie stands silently behind him, barely able to see Buck and crying his eyes out. I think when Eddie wasn’t initially fighting for Chris to see Buck all Hospitalled Up, as it were, is because Eddie didn’t think Chris could handle it. The real truth of the matter is Eddie couldn’t handle it. We saw it ourselves--Chris was shaken, but able to pull himself together enough to say his piece and beg Buck to come back into their lives (insert couch metaphor here, y’all make it fit). Eddie could barely look at the bed, and when he did, his eyes filled with tears and he couldn’t speak. Eddie in the coma dream exists, is mentioned, but he’s lost in his anger, doesn’t have his life-lines to reach out for, is missing the man who has his back, and because of that lost everything. These two men truly are unanchored without each other, and without their son (yeah I said it, sue me), are missing a key element that makes their family a family.
Now Bobby. Bobby is the most notable one who is both there irl and in Buck’s coma dream. The man who entered his second marriage with a son he didn’t fully realize he had, though now he’s definitely realized it. The man who is dead without Buck in his life. Who stayed alive because one pesky kid had the gall to work his pesky way under Bobby’s skin and stressed him out enough to look after him and care and not stop caring until he had a whole goddamn family in his hands, both with Athena and at the 118. I’m still struggling to fully feel all the feels here and btw I think we need to take a moment to give MAD PROPS to Peter Krause for his turn as dead addict Bobby because he was fantastic.
It’s interesting, because for some reason in my head, I expected Buck’s coma dream to actually be really pleasant and happy and the lesson he learns is that life is hard but you gotta do it anyway and you’ll be rewarded for hard work. The coma dream was very different--twisted and, for all that Buck was in it, it was missing him like an open wound. I didn’t realize it right away, but Coma Buck is the Buck that’s born for parts, the Evan Buckley that Buck sees himself as in his own head.
It’s the Buck that can’t help but reach out to help, that desperately tries over and over again to be the support that he himself is desperate for, that has irrevocably changed lives, with his worn heart out on his sleeve, collecting people that care about it without him really realizing, and in return making them care more about themselves, that makes Buck truly who he is, and makes his actual reality what it is. And that’s goddamn beautiful.
Please add your thoughts to this, my brain is still expanding

hEY btw I think that Cult of the Lamb except instead of any of the actual stuff please focus on God!Dream being married and fucked by loyal devoted worshipper Punz who kills in his name and tells Dream how beautiful he is as he makes him cry on his cock
I think that God Dream should be absolutely obliterated carnally
I think that he saves Punz from death and in turn Punz spend eternity loving him
I think Punz, right before he's executed, seeing the axe swing down, is brought before Dream, who takes an interest in him and decides to spare him On A Whim, and in turn Punz must dedicate himself to Dream. Dream expects "dedication" in maybe the form of occasional prayers and thanks, maybe a small altar, and believes Punz will ultimately just be grateful to be alive but not be happy to be tied to Dream.
He Is Very Wrong
Punz is the only person to touch Dream in hundreds of years
After Punz shows off how much of a crush he has on Dream (he is covered in blood and murdering people in his gods name and gifting Dream pink roses and so, so reverent) Dream offers to show his appreciation for Punz's worship in turn.
And Dream very much treats it like he's being High and Mighty to this small mortal who doesn't understand a lot of things, he's giving him such a Gift, allowing him to touch his God
Listen Dream is expecting to hard dom in this scenario, and for a bit he is!!! Because Punz is so, so utterly enthralled, willing to let Dream take whatever he wants, absolutely down for that. He just also really likes those little flashes of vulnerability, likes being able to serve Dream and make him come, likes Dream writhing with pleasure and know that he's brought it
Punz is a monsterfucker and this is not something Dream accounted for in any situation when he really should have. Honestly. Dream tries to keep his appearance Semi-Human when they fuck but he has trouble controlling it when Punz fucks him so well he can't focus
the claws the eyes the horns and teeth the demon wings
Punz is having a good time. Dream is also having a good time, but like, unexpectedly
I'm trying to bring my thoughts together to write coherent smut. I don't know if I'll succeed but so far I got
"Dream milks Punz's cock for a bit, smiling like a lazy cat and asking if it feels good, if his follower is satisfied, has his god attended to him? And Punz tells him how it feels, tells him how good Dream feels,
But he brushes his hands over Dream's human form and asks if he's felt the same, do you feel good, my lord?"
listen to me
please consider that Dream fucks Punz on his cock, doesn't let him come, but gets him right on the edge, then slicks Punz up and straddles him and sinks into him, letting Punz fill him, talks about how gracious he's being as he shimmies and tightens around them until Punz is bucking and coming inside him. Lazy and relaxed and magnanimous, polite, mmms and ahhs as he grinds his hips down, prolonging Punz's orgasms and getting some pleasure for himself
and Punz gets to come a few more times, Dream will allow himself to be filled. It feels nice, its so rare for Dream to indulge and allow for such closeness. Really, he should be thanking his dear worshipper for giving Dream the opportunity to engage in this act. Its so rare that Dream touches someone without violent intent (so rare that someone tries to touch Dream, although he would never frame it that way.)
But he's thanking his worshipper now by allowing him to come again, sweat dripping down his brow and loud moans that sound so pretty falling from his mortal's lips
and Dream this entire time has been feeling low level pleasure, but he's Not Mortal and doesn't Need It so like, while he finds sex enjoyable and fun, he's not particularly prioritizing his own pleasure here. Its that aroaceness thing where "oh sex, nice" but also if its not brought up you forget that it exists and masturbation is a thing people do. thats the best way I can explain it here. Dream is experiencing a rare stimuli that feels nice but not essential. he's not like, being a martyr or anything by focusing on Punz.
But also Punz would very much like to bring pleasure to their God, and Dream not getting off is Not Good Worship You See
obviously Punz needs to ask if Dream feels good, if he's been attended to. And Dream laughs and teases his worshipper for not properly enjoying their gift, and Punz is reverent when they cup Dream's cheek and say its a gift to serve you, my lord
and I think that Dream startles and shifts as Punz grinds his hips up, stops gripping the sheets (because Dream fucked them so hard its all they could do to hold on and ground themselves to sanity) and place their hands on Dream's thighs so they can angle themselves better inside him, and yes, Dream could feel that lovely sweet spot inside him on occasion, it was fascinating how good it felt, but suddenly Punz is hitting it every single time, and Dream can't stop the moan he lets out
Dream feels his form shift, his claws tear into the sheets, but Punz only praises him, breathless, you're gorgeous, beautiful my lord, does it feel good? Am I pleasing you, my lord?
When Dream's voice cracks, it gains something otherworldly, losing his composure, ah ah ahs as he falls forward a little, flushing because Punz is so completely awestruck watching him. Dream whimpering when he feels Punz twitch inside him, brushing against his prostate, biting his lip and unable to scold himself for making such a noise because Punz seems intent on fucking him until he can't think about propriety. Dream moaning louder and louder, hearing my lord but for a moment it sounds like my love
Punz stopping suddenly and Dream feels his sanity untangle a thread, panting heavily while Punz suddenly grabs his hand (still clawed and blackened and inhuman) and presses a kiss to the palm, sits up and kisses his arm, his shoulder, his collar.
you're taking liberties beyond your station. Dream tries to keep his voice even, but its shaky.
I'll never take anything you don't want me to, my lord. Punz murmurs. May I kiss you?
And Dream allows it. Dream lets them, on the condition that its Only Once, Only The One, Don't Be Greedy, and Punz is tender, treating it like the gift it is, and Dream moans into their mouth as they rock into him, starting up again
Punz has already come inside Dream before this, when Dream pushed him over the edge. So he's already been filled, it's dripping down his thighs
And maybe he lifted himself off of Punz's cock before, to show off how Punz had left him a mess. Let some of it leak out of him before dropping himself back down
Or maybe he just kept going, and Punz is now fucking his come back into Dream

I'm wondering how they're going to get rid of Natalia on the first episode, Marisol makes sense show up again but Natalia simply disappearing will be very weird as there won't be a huge time gap, a maximum of two weeks if the cruisy is the same as Bathena cruise. We have to wait and see but I don't think Natalia will disappear for now, maybe in the 3rd episode and Marisol in the 5th or 6th episode
Btw happy new year my darling
Apologies for being a bit late with this, love. I hope the first week of the new year is treating you well. <3
IF (yes, everyone, I realize I could have read this wrong) my instinct regarding Natalia not returning - not even to be broken up with on screen - is correct, I think Tim is going to take the easy route and repeat what the show did with Ali since she was the prior LI whose future was unclear between seasons and then never went back. The timeline you’re referencing supports my theory, too, so thanks for that. 😜
Say it’s only supposed to have been a few weeks or MAYBE a month since we last saw the characters. (Is this cruise in real time or is Bathena recovering from what happened, reliving the events? No clue.)
Odds are Buck won’t have announced the breakup to the 118 just yet. There he was a few weeks back singing Natalia’s praises and they’re already over? Not his finest moment, right? So maybe there’s a casual conversation happening - just like how it did at Buck’s welcome back party in 3x01 - where someone asks how Natalia’s doing or if they’ve got plans and he has to admit she’s not in the picture. Things get awkward for a sec, Buck says it’s for the best. Everyone moves on.
As for what reasoning Tim may have come up with, I have two specific thoughts on this part:
— Buck first felt drawn to Natalia when he was hyperfocused on his experience with dying, yes? He felt like she “saw him” because of what he was feeling in those days/weeks after the coma?
Well, if season seven is bringing us a Buck that is TRULY trying to move on from everything, TRULY trying to focus on the fact that he’s still alive rather than the fact that he could die at any time…he and Natalia won’t have as much in common anymore, will they? Is Buck going to want to be with someone whose life revolves around death and dying when he’s worked hard to get himself out of that headspace?
Obviously if Natalia were to stick around the show would make changes to the character just like it did for TayKay, but if she’s not meant to reappear? Buck’s new outlook on life is the perfect excuse to keep Natalia as is and say they’re going in two different directions now.
— There’s a post on my blog (from not too long ago) where I talk about the IG live in the final days of filming season six in which we could hear the cast getting ready for a scene describing a “boring” date Buck was to have had with Natalia. (Natalia was confirmed by Kenny)
Why is that important? Because it means there was an alternate ending on the table, one that would have led to Buck NOT getting serious with her.
Just like Tim doing the cruise ship disaster that Kristen wouldn’t touch, I wouldn’t be surprised if he uses whatever the original script said to get the point across. It’s much faster than coming up with his own brand new dialogue for a character we’re not supposed to care about anymore. A character that he didn’t have a direct hand in creating, either.
(As usual, this is TL;DR, but the one thing I’m always gonna do is cover all my bases!)

I think asking eddie to go karting was a nod to the poker date that made buck feel alive again but now eddie doesn't have time because he's dating :( feels weird that buck didn't even tell eddie about his breakup. Maybe he sees that eddie's priorities are shifting - cue some realizations and maybe another breakup? I'd love for the karting date to happen like you said 💛
yeah! i found it kinda odd the way buck was just like oh yeah btw i broke up with natalia. but i think it might have been also in part because of the limited time they have to tell us the stories???
like its only one hour and this season we only get 10 eps so i feel some stuff will be mentioned and not shown???
but also!!
Tumblr media
kinda interesting tho they mention buck finding and pursuing joy and the first thing we see is him asking eddie on a date 🫣
but also i hope ur right anon. i wanna see the girls fightttttttt. i want a grocery store yell match 2.0!!!

frank has an extremely high sex drive. has had countless one night stands.
goes to strip clubs
is physically able to produce semen (i have no way of explaining this btw)
fucking loves boobs
huge dom. frankie can and will manhandle the fuck out of you
missionary and doggy style are his favorite positions
frankie has never had genuine romantic and intimate sex. it’s also been hard, rough and stress relief sex. he’s never fallen in love with anyone to be able to have romantic love making. it’s literally just empty sex.
very experienced , over 100 bodies
likes faint/vanilla bdsm (ex; blindfolds and cuffs). but he only likes it when it’s done to the person he’s with. he doesn’t like being tied but he likes doing the tying.
can get very rough.
doesn’t really moan, but he’ll let out a few groans here and there.
love’s receiving and giving head
will fuck in borderline public, he likes the rush and it makes him feel excited, like he’s alive. it’s more of an adrenaline rush than anything.
has hired hookers (never paid over 50 bucks for one)
has been in threesomes/gang bangs but doesn’t particularly enjoy them
doesn’t kiss. he finds kissing to be an actual romantic and intimate thing he would only want to do with someone he was dating.
hates being called daddy he’d rather jump off a building
makes a shit ton of noise (slamming the headboard, hitting the wall) purposely to get revenge on his neighbors (he’s petty as fuck)
anyways that’s it let me know if you’d like me to make any other hc’s or whatever byebye

ok here is a VERY LONG dump of every somewhat coherent thought i have put together about my first greywaren read. for the love of GOD do not click read more if you haven't read the book. unless you want to spoil literally the whole book for yourself in which case go buck wild i guess
anyway
declan motherfucking lynch, you guys. he keeps making coffee even though it makes his stomach hurt because matthew likes the smell of it in the morning. he was the first person to ever love ronan. he tried not to love matthew but then matthew reached for his hand at the fair. when he was a child he organized records by color for fun. find whoever killed matthew and make sure they are never happy ever again. he didn't want to be the last one left. you were the story i chose for myself. literally the entirety of chapter twenty seven. he used ronan's sun dogs. he sat on the driveway and cried for the first time since his father's death. he cried again when he set the moth free. he's literally everything to me. he's everything to me
ON THE SEVENTH DAY THE LYNCH BROTHERS DISCOVERED THEY WERE FRIENDS ONCE MORE
i can't believe stief played the long con for so many years making us all believe niall was a soulless irredeemable bastard when actually he wasn't. when actually he loved declan more than anything in the world and loved ronan when mór couldn't and gave up the memory of declan's birth because it was too painful to keep
i want a whole spinoff series about the new fenian btw. he's a dreamt copy of a man who carries memories around in a briefcase. that is actually the tightest shit ever i'm not even kidding
matthew punched declan in the face. that is all
actually i lied i have more matthew thoughts. he knows american sign language. he asked bryde if bryde has any bones. seems to me that if i had to learn to be sad, you have to learn to be happy. he walked all the way to the barns from boston. how did he walk all the way to the barns from boston? also where did his hair go?
i feel like a FOOL for theorizing that bryde was the big bad and had been manipulating nathan when really nathan was the big bad all along and bryde was just some guy coping with his miserable existence. sorry bryde. also i really thought whoever dreamt liliana was gonna be someone we knew, not just some random man a thousand years ago, but yeah. ok. that's fine
CARMEN AND HENNESSY GIRLFRIENDS CONFIRMED. i was hoping for carlianessy but also i guess i understand why liliana had to die in order to share her vision with carmen so i will take it
hennessy monologues so that she doesn't really have to say anything at all. her first sweetmetal since jordan in white was the notecard of her broken heart. she threw herself at the lace because she could handle the pain without the fear. jordan saw herself as just jordan without hennessy before hennessy could see herself as just hennessy without jordan. she gave ronan a snakeskin tattoo. she brought adam back from the lace. shit's about to get real touching and i worked too hard to not get the satisfaction of seeing it go down
not as much jordan as i would have liked but i guess she completed most of her arc in mister impossible? i just want more of her i love her so much she's just so GOOD. she barely knew adam but she fed him sugar water to keep him alive even when she had to fight to stay awake. how about i just take you out of that suit now instead?
ronan! RONAN! he's human but he's not. he's an ancient entity in a human body but he grew up in this world so now there's real human in him, too. it's declan who first makes him remember himself. he belongs to both worlds, actually, so he gets to pick which one he wants and he chooses the one with everyone he loves in it. he has to choose between adam and the world and he chooses the world even though adam is everything to him. he gets to keep adam anyway. he's maybe the most powerful entity in existence and his parents (dreamers? manifesters?) were worried that maybe he would end the world but he saves it instead and it's because he's so full of love
adam. my adam. adam! (slamming my head against the wall btw)
i left my adam-specific thoughts for last because i could literally launch from my seat and crash through the ceiling if i sit here and think about him for too long. his accent came back. don't call me he says but then he finds chainsaw and he cradles her lovingly like he clearly has before and he cries with his legs intertwined in ronan's and he scries even though it's dangerous. 'cause i made this fake version of me, right, and i was wide awake when i did it. he speaks to the lace politely. over the summer he tried to convince himself not to love ronan every time he was alone but fell apart every time he saw ronan again. his face just wore a raw relief, a peace
i'm gonna tear the epilogue out of the book, shred it into small pieces, and eat it. what the fuck. jordan and declan are getting married. hennessy is there with her girlfriend carmen and henry is there with his mom and all the fox way women are there too. gansey and blue are there and honestly it tracks that they're both sociology majors. adam transferred schools twice (something something he's finally realized he's allowed to make changes in his life if they make him happy instead of suffering through the present for the sake of the future) and now he works for some secretive government agency because of course he does. ronan tells gansey he wants a wedding like this and adam said the same. ronan and adam are canonically engaged. what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck
i love this book i want to be buried with it the end
wait i came back to add something because i just remembered. hennessy brought adam back with just enough pieces of himself to actually be adam. it's like gansey being remade all over again. i love that stief keeps bringing characters back to life but like, slightly off. it's soooooooooooooo

5x15 - FOMO - The Setup for Eddie's Coming Out
I just have to start out with this: this is purely speculation and I could be completely wrong but the way this episode played out immediately had my Eddie bells going off. I know that the episode was FOMO-themed and it applied to all of the characters but where it applies to Eddie...there is so much gold. Also, I hope I don't offend anyone with this post, that's never my intention.
So first, we have the conversation between Eddie and May in the beginning of the episode, about the influencer Selene aka Rebecca. Where Eddie mentions “A high price to pay for living a fake life.” I found this particular line interesting because technically, in a way, he's been doing just that. Not that he's fake but he's been suppressing the trauma and his emotions/dealing with it for so long that in a way, yes he is faking a smile and moving forward, always for Christopher's sake and because he doesn't know anything different thanks to Ramon's teachings (though he is definitely learning, the fact that he mentions he's in therapy to May this episode is phenomenal progression he has made; can you imagine s3 Eddie admitting this to someone who isn't Bobby or Buck?). The conversation continues about how Rebecca's regular life wasn't enough and then boom, Eddie says the kicker once May mentions FOMO and explains it: "You make it sound like some kind of sickness."
Tumblr media
Immediately my head snapped up from my notes and I did a double take, then jumped for the remote to rewind it to make sure I heard him right.
When I heard this line one more time, my instincts kicked into high gear and I was like, 'oh!'
Tumblr media
They're literally playing on the word "FOMO" for something else, in his case, holy shit! So I rewatched the scene again with this in mind, and sure enough it made total sense.
So I continued watching the episode (which was really good btw!) and several other things popped out at me:
1) Reality Show Emergency: When this happens, the guy passes out at the altar and sure enough, the 118 show up. (I would also like to point out that this is the SECOND time we've seen Buck happily soaking up the attention and Bobby shooting him down to remain professional, while this is on point for Buck's character and funny as hell, Oliver is hysterical, there is a reason for this, especially since Lucy was filling into Eddie's role more this episode, this emergency relates to Eddie, and so did the quinceanera emergency a few episodes back, the one of the guy not landing on his feet properly & getting hurt) So then Hen takes front and center (more on that in a bit) and she finds out that the heartbeat is muffled (interesting) and that pressure is keeping his heart from beating fully, and the organs in his body are on the wrong side. The writers couldn't have laid this out any more perfectly if they tried. We already know one of this season's themes is heart, especially when it comes to Eddie. But here we have yet another heart not possibly working right or being prevented from operating as the norm (i.e. Eddie thinking he's having a heart attack when really it's a panic attack, the felon's heart needing to be pumped even though he shot himself so it can be kept alive for the transplant).
So we have a performative marriage for a reality show, where the bride was worried that she wouldn't get married before reaching a certain age and she doesn’t want to be alone, and the groom passes out because of a heart issue where it's not working at 100%. Hmmm 🤔
Then Buck confirms to Lucy that the show is a sociological experiment, based on compatibility. Oh-kay... Then the groom gets disqualified from the show due to his “undisclosed medical condition” even though his "heart was in the right place, well maybe not yours specifically" and the bride gets married to someone else. Who else do we know who always has his heart in the right place when making decisions for Christopher for example? Exactly. -> This emergency was meant to show us that something is off and meant to start subtly suggesting (though again I'm not sure they're really being all that subtle at this point) that this is in relation to Eddie (and when I say off, I don't mean who Eddie is as a person or his sexuality, I meant they are trying to hint at that Eddie is being performative when it comes to women/the idea of marriage, that's all I meant)
2) Social Influencer Emergency Ending: At the end of the episode, we have 100%Rebecca saying she was afraid of who she really was, that it’s always better to be yourself, that family is important. “I guess it took a near death experience for her to actually appreciate her life” (4x13 shooting anyone? while Eddie may not be as traumatized by that particular event, I don't think it's any coincidence that what made him explode a couple of episodes ago was the knowledge that everyone in his unit that he saved is now dead). Then Eddie and May have this closing conversation: she's wondering if she’s living her life for herself (Eddie; that age old question of when he will follow his own heart), her choosing to look out for Athena after Athena almost died (Eddie; wanting to resume marriage with Shannon for Christopher's sake, always making decisions for Christopher but not for himself like Ana, etc).
Then:
youtube
Eddie: “There’s nothing wrong with wanting to protect your family” -> 'There's nothing wrong with me making decisions that I think are best for Christopher and for me to try to keep giving him the life I think is best for him and want for him'
May: “But before all that I wanted to be someone, a very specific someone, and I think I’m losing that person”
Tumblr media
Eddie: “Trauma often causes us to turn inward”
Tumblr media
May's reaction here:
Tumblr media
Because that wasn't what she was saying at all. While Eddie is right and this is a profound way of looking at it, this isn't exactly what May was saying. Yes, she was traumatized by Athena's attack and took the job in order to make sure it didn't happen again, possibly a trauma response (I'm not a mental health professional or trauma expert so I don't want to say that too definitively) but what May did wouldn't really be considered 'turning inward'. (not the context Eddie is putting it in) She is speaking along the lines of the theme of the episode: FOMO. She made a decision based on her family and wanting to protect them, a decision that set her on one path, away from what she originally planned for herself. But because this episode relates to Eddie so strongly as well, this particular piece of the conversation makes it more than evident to me that this word FOMO (and the feeling that comes with it) actually represents something different for him.
And sure enough:
Eddie: “Guess therapy’s rubbing off on me." (he laughs it off after seeing May's reaction and because he does, so does she) Then: "You hid in a place you knew, where you could feel safe and keep your family safe, I understand the motivation.” May: “Does that make me a coward?” -> interesting phrasing here, again this is definitely about Eddie, on the surface it's about May and her story line, deeper than that it's about Eddie and his internal conflicts this season, exactly why they had this Eddie and May interaction happening not only here but also in the beginning of the episode
Eddie: “I don’t think cowards usually ask that question.” -> while this is a great line (and he's right) it also pertains to Eddie; if he's doing what he needs to do to keep Christopher safe, to make him happy, can he really be considered being a coward for doing that? And for someone to question the status quo, that's incredibly brave and he knows it, but he's not ready yet himself
May: “So how do I get back to that person I wanted to be?” Eddie: “I’ll let you know when I figure that one out” (he smiles and gets up) -> this is Eddie's whole arc this season, trying to figure himself out and who that person is
And the writing of this is so brilliant that it's also done in a way that it also relates to one of Eddie's surface issues: choosing what he thought was best for Christopher by leaving the 118 but he desperately misses his 118 family, his job as a firefighter, and wants to get back to it but isn't able to yet. I was so glad they didn't have Josh there this episode (after that whole exchange with Eddie, I also liked how the contrast was set up here with May, showing that she was accepting of Eddie assistance in an emergency) but I think they did that because it would have been too on the nose had Eddie and Josh had this conversation instead, and the show is trying to build up to this big reveal about Eddie.
3) Hen and Karen: Going back to Hen and Karen, I don't think it's any coincidence that Karen took front and center this episode along with Hen. Especially considering we haven't seen too much of Karen (or their relationship; btw where is Denny???) this season before this. Or that Karen was the one who was experiencing FOMO and "feeling old". And I especially don't think it's a coinkydink that Hen was the one who took center stage with the reality wedding emergency (while Chim was almost subdued and to the side) or that Hen and Karen were watching that show at one point in the episode.
And what kills me even more is that during that viewing scene you have Karen stating the couple will never last and Hen mentioning their compatibility is off the charts (a la Buck at the emergency scene). And after this, we see on the tv that the bride hits the groom and storms off with the groom looking after her, seeming surprised and worried slightly. Then when Karen suggests they watch the finale to find out who is right, Hen shuts the tv off and turns over saying she wants to sleep.
youtube
Because when you peel back the layers, in actuality, this is about the idea of not only Eddie but also slightly Buck and Eddie. I know that people have noticed the parallels between Buck and Karen before but if I had to take a guess with this episode, I would say Karen represents Eddie here (the FOMO feeling) and Hen is Buck (not only in similar dialogue and of course Buck looking to fix things for Eddie, Hen wanting to fix this for Karen). Not to mention that Karen refers to her job and her co-workers being younger than her (when Eddie is missing the 118 and is bonding with May at his new job who is younger than him & who is feeling FOMO herself that he's talking to her about). "You know what I was like at that age. It was work hard, work harder." (Eddie to a T)
And while we don't see resolution for Eddie here (because it's a major plot point this season that requires this big build-up/reveal), we do see resolution for Karen. While Hen didn't "fix it" for her, Karen finds a happy middle ground and the last time we see them, Karen and Hen are happily dancing at a club after catching the credit card thief.
4) Chim's quote (as well as Maddie's FOMO about Jee-Yun's firsts moment): "There’s no such thing as making up for missed time" -> This is true and such a contrast to what he told Maddie about her catching up on Jee-Yun's moments with his photos and videos. But he's saying it after Hen has spoken to the 118 about Karen's FOMO & it's an unfortunate truth that all of the characters experiencing it have to realize. Yet we also see Maddie's FOMO resolved by her being there for another first for Jee-Yun and telling Chim not to record it, to just enjoy the moment. (something that Eddie will also have to come to realization with for himself, because once he has his moment of self-realization his FOMO is going to be incredibly strong)
5) Alleged upcoming interaction with Ramon and Eddie going back to Texas (his original home) to do it: It makes absolute sense that the show is sending Eddie back to where it all began for him: Texas. And it makes even more sense that Eddie is going to try to "resolve" things with Ramon, the man who taught him to keep moving forward no matter how hard it was, basically to suppress his emotions/traumas, etc. The guy who was more focused on the medal Eddie got for his service and showing it off than on how it affected Eddie himself or how he got that very medal. Personally, I am very anti Diaz parents (because they're greedy manipulative fucks for parents) but I do sincerely hope that Eddie is able to resolve whatever he is going there to resolve, and if that makes things better with his parents then I am all for it.
That being said, I have a sneaking suspicion (and I could be wrong but this is just my opinion) that either Eddie is going to have his self-realization in this episode while he's dealing with Ramon in Texas or he's going to have self-acceptance (meaning he's already aware of who he is and how he feels but has been fighting it). "Inward" -> internalized. I just hope for his sake that his parents somehow become better people and love and accept him for who he is. (but I know this is more of a naive hope sadly, based on their characterizations set up already in the story)
Going back to Buck in those emergencies:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's what I think: this isn't Buck being performative or attention-seeking. The attention is on him and he's enjoying it but not because he craves it or expects it. To me, while these are both hilarious, are indicative of Buck's character in a couple of different ways. One, this is Buck, genuine Buck. Two, he is not shying away or being grumpy or ignoring the limelight. If we go with the theme of this meta, then I would venture to say that since both emergencies feature Eddie in some way (without him actually being there), this shows two things: 1) Buck is not going to think differently of Eddie once Eddie has his self-realization or treat him any differently (which I personally think Eddie somewhat fears, he doesn't want to lose Buck or his close friendship/family with him), he will be full on accepting and won't even bat an eyelash & 2) Buck is very confident in who he is...on some level. Meaning that while Buck has his own issues and background, as we've seen in Buck Begins and with his relationships, there is something Buck is very confident in and doesn't shy away from or have any doubts about. And it doesn't bother him if any attention comes to that something about him.
I also think it's interesting that both times Bobby had to be the one to get Buck to knock it off and leave, get back to work basically. Not that Bobby would have an issue at all if Eddie and/or Buck were gay, bisexual, or any other sexual identity, but it does make me wonder at the work aspect of it:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
And I also think it's very interesting that this is the first time that we've seen Buck be a bit more open and comfortable around Lucy, the very first episode that we see her definitely stepping into Eddie's role in their work partnership, being a (temporary) replacement for him. While things may be okay with Taylor right now, I doubt that is why we see this friendly demeanor all of a sudden spark up. Especially in that moment above where both Bobby and Lucy tell Buck no (as Eddie would have done had he been there) before Buck says it himself and leaves. Especially with them showing us in framing just how comfortable Buck has gotten with Lucy (with the seating in the firetruck) and even Lucy's response to Buck's when discussing the Karen situation with Hen and the rest of the 118.
I also think once Eddie has this self-realization moment (or self-acceptance) this is what will help him eventually come back to the 118. (I don't think it's going to magically happen the very next episode, but the show is certainly building up to this and keeping him separated from the 118, minus Buck and Bobby, for a reason)
So basically tl;dr: Eddie Diaz is coming out this season y'all. And this will be yet another benchmark on the path to long range Buddie. Buck realizing things about Eddie (and possibly himself) will be next, mark my words.

beams you. hello zip my swaggy friend zip i also have to say you def have piqued my interest and am curious to what animorphs is abt !! ive always known abt the books but im very curious :]c
ramble as much as you want i am listening
HAHAHAHAHHA YES YESSSSSSSS
OK SO. Animorphs is simply put, a war story. A sci-fi war story about child soldiers. Pretty much, there’s a bunch of alien races and one of them is called the yeerks. The yeerks are gross little slugs that crawl in your ear and take control of your body. They have successfully taken over many species, such as the taxxons (who are willing hosts) and the hork-bajir (unwilling hosts). They have now moved on to humans, and taking over earth. The andalites, another alien species, are trying to stop them. One andalite crash lands on earth in an abandoned construction site one night before five 13 year old kids, Jake, Rachel, marco, Tobias, and Cassie. He gives them the ability to morph into any animal they can touch, a technology created by andalites, and begs for them to help stop the yeerks. The andalites will not be reaching earth soon enough to stop them. Then the yeerks come down and eat him alive. So these five kids experiment with their powers before realizing like. This is worse than they ever could’ve imagined. It’s important to note that morphing gives you a two hour time limit. If you’re in something else’s shape for longer than that, you’re stuck, forever. Almost immediately, the character Tobias (my favorite btw but that’s irrelevant) gets permanently trapped in the body of a red tailed hawk and loses his morphing powers. He’s like… a cautionary tale for the other kids but his own plot line revolves a lot around like. What is humanity and who am I and who do I want to be? There’s a lot of deep themes such as the exploration of trauma, child soldiers who are forced to fight in a war, morality and the willingness to do bad things, and how there is no true good and bad guys in war, among many other things. But it’s also buck fucking wild like there’s a race of pacifistic android dogs, and they time travel and kill Hitler at one point, Rachel has an allergic reaction to crocodile DNA and has to like vomit it up, the yeerks get high off maple ginger oatmeal, god is a twitch streaming goose, and so much more.
Overall amazing fucking book series, I won’t spoil anything for those of you who want to read it, but it’s so so good. Keep in mind that despite the content it IS intended for elementary schoolers so the writing is fairly easy and simple and the humor can sometimes be a bit immature but honestly it adds to sending home that these are literal CHILDREN and. Yeah. It’s really good. All the books are legally free online by permission of the author herself and if anyone wants the link I will gladly give it ushsjsgsjsh.
Those of you who do read it tell me EVERYTHING

Hi amazing Mars! What are some of your unpopular opinions on Scream? You already know a few of mine---including the fact that overall I love these recent three films even more than the original trilogy. (Don't hate me---obviously I love the first three too, I just have a weird attachment to 4, 6 and even the underrated 5!)
ohh this is a good question and one i feel like i can easily answer but fair warning because obviously these will be semi-unpopular opinions lmao 😅
1.) Tara is my LEAST fav of the core 4 and i think she’s one of the most boring new age characters. I’m a huge Jenna Ortega fan but if they killed Tara off I literally don’t think I’d be mad and I’d majorly prefer that to losing one of the twins in Scream 7.
2.) Gale > Sidney. I absolutely ADORE Sidney as a character and a final girl but I find Gale to be more fascinating from a meta / narrative perspective.
3.) ^ And on this note… Sam > Sidney 🤷 Once again I find Sam to be a more complex final girl and I enjoy the way she bucks against the tropes of the genre. I could write a whole essay on this topic but Sam exhibits a lot of flaws that usually only male characters in media are afforded and I find that to be really interesting/forward thinking.
4.) I’m going to go off of one of your points there but 4, 5, & 6 were the best movies since the OG and definitely the best sequels in the franchise.
5.) I think Stu Macher is overrated. And the fact that people STILL think he could be alive or come back even though Scream 6 clearly made fun of that theory by having Ethan literally get killed by the SAME FUCKING TV is actually insane to me.
6.) People who complained about the amount of survivors in Scream 6 clearly weren’t listening to the meta themes of the movie, lol. Every (good) Scream film has a meta commentary and then a societal one. Scream 6’s meta commentary was on subverted expectations, and the movie does that by subverting the audiences expectation that expectations will be subverted. You think that one of the twins is going to die because they survived in 5 and this movie is “obviously” going to try and subvert you by killing a survivor! NOPE! Plot twist, they all live and even one of the newbies does.
(Mindy literally laid this out in her monologue btw, they name dropped subverted expectations and the last jedi for a reason and THIS was why…)
7.) I think the Scream fandom is too obsessed with ghostface kill counts and etc 😅 I judge the killers based on vibes and how interesting their narrative was… not based on how many people they offed.
8.) I really loved the Bailey-Kirsches motivation as ghostface and even if most of the fandom didn’t like their reveals I thought they had one of the best unmaskings/third acts in the franchise 🤷
9.) Also… last controversial take Chad > Dewey!
