Can’t stop thinking about Willy’s proposition to the teens. They’re free to go but where?
Back to the place so lovingly crafted by a devoted mother to accommodate for a lack of a father?
Back to the place that once held so much love and strife, the place that reliably held a girl’s mother and best friend only to now hold nothing but a safe left in her name by her stepfather?
To a ruined plot of land, now full of ash and burnt reminders of a presence that will never return?
To a place that once held a child’s whole world?

The Green family dynamics are so interesting because like, Viserys is the father but due to his decay he seems more like the grandfather, whereas Otto is the Grandsire but seems to fill out the role of a father more, not only to his daughter but also her children, so he and his daughter are a mother/father unit but in some situations Alicent is treated like a sibling to her children (by Otto) and then you have the obvious Helaena/Aegon happening (siblings who are also husband/wife and mother/father to their children), but at the same time it seems like Aemond is the one trying to be the family's protector and attempting to step up as patriarch, with some of the scenes between him and Alicent giving off the vibes of equals rather than Mother and Son (like when they discuss Aemond finding Aegon) and his relationship with Aegon seeming like he's the big brother and not the other way around, in this essay I will-

Oh my god, anyone realise that for Jiang Cheng to have had the comb to give to Wen Qing after Lotus Pier fell, he must have had it on him on the day which means...he regularly carried it around. This teenage boy who knew full well after the Qishan Indoctrination that the Wen were The Enemy and he wouldn't ever be allowed to be with Wen Qing carried that comb around with him because he presumably couldn't bear to put aside that symbol of his feelings. Remember the day Lotus Pier was sacked started out the same as any other day - even if Jiang Cheng anticipated trouble from the Wen at some point following the fiasco in the Xuanwu Cave, there's no way he could have known that by nightfall he would have lost his home, his parents and his sect and be on the run with his siblings with nothing but the clothes on their backs and whatever they carried with them. And so he carried that comb around next to his heart everyday, just like afterwards he would carry his love for Wen Qing despite her clan massacring his, despite being so traumatised he flinched from her in the supervisory office. He carried that love through the months after the sacking until he offered it to her along with the comb when he found her in that cell. And much later, when she followed him down from the Burial Mounds and returned it to him because she couldn't accept his love and his protection, not when she would have to leave her family behind, the freaking devastation on his face as she gave it back and the way he took it so reluctantly as if it physically pained him because his feelings hadn't ebbed at all...man, that comb encompassed so much. And it was a crying shame that they couldn't be together, that the world wouldn't let them.

Aaaaand we somehow made this whole thing Yiwa's fault because she's the one that asked for the fake marriage. But here's a list of things Yiwa didn't do:
Aggressively pursue Nuea
Actively lie to Nuea despite every single possible opportunity to tell him the truth
Kiss Nuea when he was sleeping
Keep telling Nuea about being in love with her fiance
Confess her feelings to Nuea
Not leave Nuea alone
Fuck Nuea and make him think he's ruining a loving relationship
Those are, however, all things that Lom has done. So yeah, maybe let's not blame Yiwa for things that aren't her fault. In fact, I recall her telling Lom to tell the fucking truth. I also recall her telling Lom to get Marine's perspective on the whole thing since she's been through it before. But you know what Lom never did? Take Yiwa's advice. Instead he made it out to be her fault for the whole situation. I know he didn't do it intentionally but intention doesn't matter. What matters is he blamed Yiwa and didn't hold himself accountable for his own actions. But that's okay. Looks like Nuea's family will hold him accountable.

obsessed with the idea of the doctor and the master standing together in opposition to gallifrey post-end of time. less in it being the reality of the situation, and more in it being what the master perceives it to be in the immediate aftermath of being. well. told he was going to be disposed of. the combination of that rejection with the doctor choosing him, the way that sets them up with a common enemy. but where that enemy for the master becomes gallifrey in the abstract with the council as the face of it, the doctor never sees it that way, never thinks of it as the two of them against their own world. the doctor, crucially, kept count of the children. when he saves gallifrey, it isn’t about the master at all, not to anyone but the master themself. because how are they supposed to take the doctor choosing gallifrey over them as anything other than a betrayal.

What's so wild to me is like. Wille technically hooking up with anyone in Hillerska would've been a scandal. Simply because like. While within the student body it would've likely been fine (the same way all the girls pretty much KNOW it was really wille in the video with Simon but publically it "wasn't wille"), if his cousin August wanted to fuck up his life he could still leak info and hurt Wille. Like... Wille could've immediately gotten with Felice, and any public leaks of a video would still have led to his mom going "We need you OUT of that school and making a press statement." Or if it had leaked to the public they had the party with drugs, which is why getting Alex not to rat them out was such a big deal.
Within Hillerska, in fact, even if he'd been with a boy... if it had been say one of the inner group that knows August, most likely everyone would've kept their mouth shut. Still it would be a risk, because being with a boy means scandal blackmail they can use over Wille if they want to hurt or threaten him to do something (cough August cough). But still, in the grand scheme, Wille could've probably been fine crushing on some person like Alex along with a non disclosure agreement.
But Simon. Simon and his sister Sara in particular are the outliers of the school. Sure, it would be a scandal in PUBLIC either way if anything Wille does at school (that isn't picture perfect) gets out. But Simon is partly such a Risk, because INTERNALLY Hillerska does not approve. They don't want someone who isn't elite to talk to them, sit with them, converse with them. Sara gets off slightly easier because Felice does make an effort to see her as equal, use her own status to back up Sara (and since Felice is queen bee there's no bully pushing back on it the way August tries to push Simon back down if Wille tries to treat Simon as equal), and Sara tries hard to blend in and not stir the pot. Simon gives zero fucks about blending in, about playing nice or tolerating bullying, he is himself pure and simple. And Hillerskas elite little teens don't want to be seen mixed up with a regular teen, and in particular the guy's don't want to look chummy with a guy with zero power (is it fragile masculinity? That they all NEED TO OWN MASSIVE PROPERTY to be respected by each other? need to have tangible POWER which is why season 2 Wille has a pretty easy time pushing August down since August doesn't have any). So for the guy's and their fucked up values in particular? It hurts their ego, to see how HARD they have to try just to get a speck of respect. And then to see Wille, the PRINCE who's automatically got more than they ever will (and who they like pushing down in the hierarchy on technicalities to feel he at least has to conform to be powerful too), to see Wille talk to Simon as an equal? Absolutely unacceptable to them. Even without the crush, just being Simon's friend is so unacceptable to them. Seeing Wille value Simon more then them is like throwing all the hoops they jump through and maintain in their face (much like Wille starts breaking things for August season 2). It was always going to be a massive hurdle for Wille to want to be close to Simon. Not even to the country or the monarchy, but also at a much smaller level. In their world in their school, its not a possibility that their peers can allow to exist. At least not when Wille starts school. (Though ill say Felice and Wille have done a bit at starting to dismantle that)

(mgv) john house was an alpha, blythe was a beta. house presenting as an omega was another layer of disappointment to john, who didn't bother learning to sympathize with his son. this also led to a small amount of ire from house that he still can't quite shake towards his mother for not understanding how his problems aren't the same as john's. greg knows it's childish and petty, but he's a bitter man, sue him.

Hi so small HC of Wally Darling I’ve randomly thought of today;
The 70′s were a very interesting time period of fashion trends, music and many more! But also big, BIG changes for the gay community... that’s right people, we’re talking about the great stonewall riot of 1969! And keep in mind, Welcome Home was still being filmed and most likely, some puppets were going through heavy remodeling until ready to see the public. But I do like thinking if there’s a spring cleaning episode that focuses on scrap-booking of the neighbors in their youth, Wally has some... surprising photos of his wild days, that many of the neighbors, including the viewer never expected from the small silly guy that’s only about 12 apples tall. Turns out, Wally had a few mugshots... and it’s not that he isn’t proud of defending his friends and fellow gays that were in dire need of help, but he’s mostly embarrassed by how messy his own hair looked. :P In fact, he’ll even proudly say that’s how he met Poppy originally.
Though if ask Poppy Partridge about her past, she’d tell you more about the history of why the riots happened and how she even met Wally there and helped clean the tear gas out of her own eyes. Though she doesn’t have pictures as much as Wally has. For one, it was at a time before she transitioned. She admits she had a wild edge too. Now that she’s matured, she’s a little more cautious! But even though she doesn’t like talking those times, Poppy and Wally are very happy that they’ve made so many friends that are a part of their community now. :]
Bonus:
Wally’s mugshots but they look like Bugs’ in the looney tunes show
