In which Phil is seventeen years old, and has an interesting day when he notices some new lines in his memory book. (a work in the "flipside" universe by fensandmarshes)

God, the Flipside universe by @fensandmarshes, what a beautiful thing <3 Flipside!Phil is another one of those things that gripped me by the brain stem and wouldn't let go of me until I wrangled all of his most compelling qualities into a single 4.5k word fic set to the tune of Dream Sweet in Sea Major. He's seventeen, he's forgotten everything, he has panic attacks, a terrorist called him his father immediately before Phil killed him, his muscles should be bigger than they are, Fundy doesn't know what to make of him, the Blood God and the Reaper keep trying to take care of him, he has this journal he writes in and no idea what the words mean, that dead terrorist from before talks inside his mind, he's Death's favourite, he's in a really weird book club... there is something wrong with him for REAL and he is not going to work out what. But I can play with him like a little paper doll and I do and it's great. Read all of the works in this universe because they're all amazing, but this specific one is mine!

Niki looks up at the sky, sun obscured by what’s just about to be pulled away. She wonders if she looks like a martyr or a heretic like this, knelt in a cage, human limbs and skin and presence. A girl barely older than most of them, a god who has seen eons pass like moonsets.

The anvil begins to fall, a rush of pressure, and her hand clenches tightly around emerald and gold.
