Out there concept, but... I'm a system, I have a dissociative disorder. And I hesitate to try to form a relationship with a digimon partner. I worry my unstable sense of identity may impact them, because I've been told that digimon are very changeable and their growth tends to reflect their human partner. What are your thoughts? Are we stressing for nothing?

Hey there friends, before we start, there's nothing out there about having a dissociative disorder. Y'all are in a pretty common situation and it's good that you're taking the health of your potential partner into account. That being said, I don't think you have much to worry about. There are plenty of partnerships in which multiple humans share a Digimon partner, so I don't think your situation would be any different. I'm sure if y'all explain your situation to any potential partner, they'll understand pretty quickly. They may even relate to your experiences! After all, being a system isn't too far removed from being a Digimon that's undergone Jogress.

"life doesnt get better, you just get stronger" does NOT include ages 11-17. life does in fact just get better from there. those years are dogshit. like, you do get stronger but its mostly just a factor of not being 11-17 anymore. positive thinking helps but it doesnt fix whatevers going on at 15, you have to brute force through that one raw

thinking about how sanji is simultaneously one of the coolest and lamest characters in all of one piece. a suave badass with a heart of gold AND a pathetic, wet paper bag of a human being. every time he's on screen i'm swooning over him while also fighting through twenty layers of cringe. truly a man of multitudes.
