hiii it’s my first time making a request and I saw that you were looking for Leighton Murray x reader requests.
So I was thinking about Leighton x reader, where reader knows Leightons dad and he tries to match them up. And she’s like the whole package, she plays soccer with Whitney, is an Lgbt advocate and also joins Leighton’s advanced math class. Leighton feels threatened so it’s like academic enemies to lovers.
You're better than me
Tumblr media
“Hello,” you greeted Leighton and the other two people in the room as she walked into her advanced math class. She was new in there after her family forced her to take harder classes. The other two greeted you happily while Leighton only rolled her eyes. You had to hold in a scoff, even if she wasn't the biggest fan of you, was it so hard to say hello?
While Leighton wished that this was the only time that she had to see you, it wasn't. You were also on the football team with Whitney and you often visited the women's center. So, she wasn't safe anywhere cause Whitney liked to bring you into their dorm to study since you were pretty good in all your classes.
This was precisely why Leighton could not be more excited for the family weekend, which was crazy because her family was exhausting. But at least you would be busy too, or at least she guessed that you would be.
“Hey Dad,” she said as her father got out of the car. He immediately walked up to hug her, holding her too close for her to get any air.
“Hello, how are you? How is Essex treating you?” he asked, not really hearing the answer as she had to mumble into his chest. “I can't wait for dinner tonight, I want you to meet somebody” he added as he finally let her go.
“Meet somebody? Please tell me you don't have a side chick.” She frowned looking at him.
“Leighton! No, of course not. Now, let's go. I believe we have a packed schedule.” She nodded and followed him into the building, constantly thinking about who she might have to meet. The blonde had to say that the day went quite well, it mostly did when she was alone with her dad. They talked about college, her mum and Nico, about what she might do after her years at Essex and how his job was going.
After some long hours, it was finally time to go eat and she would finally see who he would want her to meet. As they walked into the restaurant her heart stopped when she was to whom her father was walking. There you sat in a women's suit, with some makeup and heels. God, she hated the fact that she was attracted to you right now.
“Y/n, it's so lovely of you to meet us here,” her dad said as he hugged you, making her nearly gasp. You gave him a smile as you hugged him back.
“No problem, Henry!” you told him and again the blonde nearly gasped. You turned toward her and sent her a big smile. “Hey Leighton, it's nice to see you,” you said as you pulled out the chair for her. Henry did not tell you that he would bring Leighton tonight which made the whole thing kinda awkward. You actually liked her but she seemed to hate you.
She sent you a tight-lipped smile and sat down, you and Henry then joining. “So, it seems like you two already know each other,” Henry said, giving you both a big smile while his daughter rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, we do. But, just out of interest, how do YOU TWO know each other?” the girl who hated you asked, aggressively pointing between you and him.
“Oh well, after you came out your dad wanted to know what to do, and how to act. You know it can be hard for parents of gay kids, even when they accept their children for it. They never know what is too much and what is not enough” you started to explain but didn't get far.
“Can you maybe skip all this shit and just answer my question?” she snapped making her father furrow his brows.
“Yeah, of course. Since I am an LGBT advocate your dad asked me for help” You gave her a short nod when you finished your explanation.
“Why would you ask her dad? And why would you want me to meet her?” It wasn't hard to see that she was annoyed, by you, her dad and just life in general you guessed.
“Well, she's a great woman Leighton. She plays football, has a scholarship for it, she is great at math, she is part of the lgbtq and she is exactly your type” You wanted to disappear so bad right now and it seems like Leighton wanted the same thing. For you to disappear. Her eyes were wide and her brows raised as she stared at him with disbelief.
“Dad! I told you we’re not gonna talk about my dating life. Not ever. Got it? And especially her” well, that hurt. Henry gave her an unhappy look before giving you a sorry one. You only gave him a short nod to signal that it was alright.
“Leighton that’s enough! I’ll go to the restrooms real quick before we eat” he stood up and walked away. As soon as his back was turned towards you the blonde was on her phone.
“Look,” you started and pushed her phone down so she could look at you “I know that you hate me for some weird reason but your dad was really nice and asked me to come so I said yes. I didn’t know that you were coming alright? So how about you use some manners and act like you can at least stand being in a room with me huh?” She only picked up her phone again making you sigh. “I don’t get why they talked about you so nice in the women center” you mumbled out making her look up from her phone.
“What did you just say?” She couldn’t believe your audacity. Who did you think you are that you go and talk to her and about her like that? Especially mentioning her ex. God, she hated you. You were so annoying and she didn’t even know why.
“I said that I do not understand why they said that you were nice and shit. I was really happy when I heard that you were in my advanced math class, but you only acted like a bitch the whole damn time. You even do it when I visit Whit, and the only thing I ever said to you there was ‘hi’” you ranted, happy to finally say what you’ve been thinking of for so long. Luckily for you, Henry came back before the blonde could say anything else.
“So, did you guys decide what you want to eat?” He asked as he sat down.
That was one of the most exhausting dinners you ever had. And after hours, Leighton still kinda ignored you and Henry ordering his drink extremely weird you were finally out. “Are you sure you don’t want us to drive you back to college? It’s quite far” the man asked again making you chuckle.
“Yes Henry, thank you tho. I’ll walk, need a bit of fresh air and exercise” it was a lie. You didn’t really feel like walking but the thought of sitting in a car with Leighton was not even close to what you dreamed of, so walking seemed like the best idea.
And after a really long discussion with Henry, he finally let you go. “Wait, I think I will walk with her dad. Then you can make your way back home, it’s late already and I could use the fresh air too” you sighed internally but didn’t want to make this awkward in front of the older Murray.
You waited for them to say goodbye before making your way back to college. “Why?” You just asked after a few moments of walking as you just couldn’t keep your curiosity at bay anymore.
“Didn’t wanna discuss this whole thing with him” you chuckled at her answer, it was clear that she didn’t wanna talk so you just shut up and kept walking. At some point you looked over to see the blonde hugging herself, goosebumps covering her arms. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before deciding what to do. Right now, you hated her as much as she hated you. Why did she have to be so endearing and cute while being a goddamn asshole at the same time?
“Here” you mumbled as you draped your jacket over her shoulders, making sure that it would stay.
“What the fuck? What the fuck am I supposed to do with your cheap ass jacket?” She asked, but her voice wasn’t as harsh as it usually was as she noticed the goosebumps now covering your arms.
“Get warm. Just accept it, it doesn’t mean that you have to like me or anything. Look, I’ll even fall back ok? You can walk in front of me so nobody realizes that we were somewhere together” you immediately slowed down and let her walk to get some distance but she stopped too.
“This is a bit much don’t you think? It will be even weirder when we do it like that”
“Why do you hate me? I’ve been nice to you, you hate me. I ignore you, you still hate me and try to bully me. Why? What did I do to you? I was really excited to meet you” you looked her straight in the eyes, this time you weren’t going to break it first.
“No particular reason” she shrugged but it was a lie, this time it was obvious. So you just kept staring at her, challenging her to go with her lie. “Fine, I just feel like you may be smarter and a bit more academically advanced than me which made me… I don’t know. I just don’t like it, and then you also have to be hot and trained, I mean even now I can see your damn abs” you couldn’t help but grin as you finally knew why she hated you.
“You know, if you really feel like I am smarter than you, then I can’t say anything else other than would happily tutor you” you joked, breaking out in laughter while Leighton hit your shoulder, an unamused look on her face. “Alright, I’m sorry. But I think the same thing about you, you’re extremely smart. Way smarter than people think you are and as if that wasn’t hot enough, you also look hot. Like damn. But I was so excited to meet you because I’ve been crushing on you since you came to one of our games” you smiled, this time it was a real smile.
“And… even after I treated you like shit, would you still be open to… you know?” She asked, her voice unsure.
“Otherwise you wouldn’t have my jacket right now. So, do you wanna go on a date?”
“You really still wanna go?”
“Yeah, I do”
“Then I would love to”
“Finally” you mumbled as you walked closer to her, one hand slowly going towards her waist. You moved slow enough for her to move away, but were more than happy when she stepped closer too. After she didn’t make any sign of discomfort you leaned in and pressed your lips to hers, kissing her softly.
“I should have stopped being a bitch way earlier” she mumbled before kissing you again, the kiss getting more passionate.
You walked her home, your hands brushing against each other every now and then making a warm feeling spread in both of your stomachs. “Alright, so we will go out tomorrow after math?” You confirmed, smiling when she gave you a nod. This time she leaned in first, kissing you again before giving you your jacket.
“I cannot believe you beat me by one point in this damn math game” Leighton complained on the way to the restaurant you were taking her. You chuckled as this had been going on for about 15 minutes.
“Well you said it yourself, i am smarter than you” you joked, petting her back to assure her that you were joking. By the time the blonde finally shut up about this game you had arrived.
“Go y/n, go Whitney” Leighton screamed as she stood up while watching you and her roommate play, her body clad in your soccer jacket. The sight making you smile every time. After the game was won you quickly ran to Leighton pressing a kiss to her lips. “You did So well” she praised.
Her roommates watched from the other side as you and her smiled at each other, a similar happiness adorning your faces. A happiness no ex of Leighton had ever put on her face.
You couldn’t wait to see Where this relationship would lead.

Ever Since New York
Part 2 of Meet Me in the Hallway
Leah Williamson x Styles!Reader
Warnings:Angst hidden relationships, lots of sighing
You hummed into Leah’s chest as she brushed her hand through your hair the two of you wrapped up on her couch watching The Arsenal boys against Southampton, you loved these moments the mundane couple things where you were able to forget that you lived four hours away and rarely saw each other unless it was through a phone or you had a free day to drive down to her for a few hours. You smiled hearing Leah whisper a quite yes as the boys took the offence “if they don’t win this one Le they will prove themselves to be absolutely shite.” Leah squeezed you slightly “hey United are just as bad “you shook your head “yeah but we have a trophy in our collection that’s younger then 20 years old.” Leah laughed squeezing you again huffing as Arsenal lost the ball. This was the few times in the last few months where it had been just the two of you, both being called up to the Olympic squad didn’t mean you got to spend time with your blonde lover instead you both kept your interactions to a minimum so this right here was bliss until it wasn’t.
You groaned lifting your head from Leah’s chest as you answered the phone “hi Harry.” Leah watched concerned as you sat up abruptly “how did you know I’m in London.” You looked at Leah panicked “just a friend H from the national team.” Leah sat up before getting off the couch and standing in front of you. “Yeah I can call around in an hour.” You looked at Leah “stay the night.” You felt your heart sink as you watched Leah nod her head, you didn’t want to stay at your brothers you wanted to stay at hers this was the only break you where getting for the next few weeks and you wanted to spend as much of it with her as possible. Sighing you agreed “yeah H I’d love to I’ll see you soon alright.” Hanging up the phone you began getting your shoes on as Leah looked at you confused “hey where are you going you told him an hour love.” You looked at Leah “I am not in the mood for this conversation right now I’ll see you in a few weeks ok.” Leah looked at you confused “but Y/n..” you shook your head “I’ll text you when I get there, I love you.” You kissed her goodbye before jumping in the car to head to Harry.
Harry to his kindness never asked which national team mate you where visiting simply talking about his up coming shows in New York titled “Harryween.” Before you both decided to watch a movie and just relax, we’ll try to relax you instead sat picking at your fingers thinking about your girlfriend who lived less than an hour away.
You hadn’t seen Leah in since you left her that night to stay at Harry’s but you had been talking daily trying to organise your schedules so you could drive down to London to spend time together only something always came up “sorry can’t do this weekend Arsenal girls are going out.” Or “sorry love not this weekend family thing, event I have to go to with Al, family night with the Arsenal.” The list went on and you felt yourself hating your hidden relationship more than before.
You where sat in your Mums house for a small family dinner, it was one of the rare occasions you all seemed to be in the same place as Harry was home, Gemma wasn’t working and you didn’t have a match. Harry cleared his throat before looking at you excitedly “so you know how my team and I came up with the plan to do HarryWeen.” You hummed in acknowledgment focused on cutting your roast potatoes “well my team checked your schedule for October and you’re free to fly out for it so.” You looked up at Harry “so what H.” Harry rolled his eyes “so will you come over to New York.” You looked at him eyebrows raised in surprise “I don’t know Harry I don’t know what the plans are for Halloween yet with the girls.” Truth was you had been hinting at Leah that you wanted to spend it with her “Invite them.” You nearly chocked on your dinner “what.” Harry nodded “invite the girls, even your national squad if you want.” You looked to your mum then Gemma “oh that would be lovely Ella, Alessia, Chloe and Alex. I agree darling invite them.” You sighed dropping your fork to rub your head, they would love to go you knew that but it was Leah you wanted to see not them. “Yeah I’ll ask.” As if on cue your phone rang as you flipped it over to see the photo of you and Leah staring back at you “sorry I have to take this I’ll be back in a minute.”
“Hey Le.” Leah sighed happily down the phone “god I miss you.” You smiled sitting on the stairs “I miss you too, what’s up are you ok.” Leah began talking about the match she had just finished playing a match you had recorded back in your apartment to watch later but nevertheless you sat happily listening to her talk about it. You began picking at the carpet as you worked up the nerve to ask “Hey Le.” Leah hummed softly telling you she was listening “Harry was just talking about his show in New York next month and eh well he said our schedules are free and asked if I wanted to invite some of the eh the girls over like you know El, Less, Chloe and Al and I was..well I was wondering if you wanted to maybe come over too you know to see him perform.” “Y/n.” Leah tried to speak but you couldn’t let her to scared of what she would say “I could introduce you this time like you wanted and you I mean you could even invite Kiera and Georgia that way it’s not just you so it’s less suspicious with the girls and all.” “Y/n” you hummed this time halting your speech “I would love to, I’ll text the girls now ok, Halloween with my girl in New York sounds cool.” You smiled happily “yeah.” Leah laughed “yeah.” You let out a breath you didn’t know you where holding “ok cool, ehm listen I have to get back to the table but I love you and I’ll text you later.” Leah laughed at how excited you sound “ok go on I’ll text the girls now and ask, I love you pretty girl.” You stood up on the stairs and squealed happily at the thought of Leah coming to New York with you as you went and sat back with your family. Harry laughed looking at you “what’s got you so happy.” You shrugged “New York.”
You had excitedly texted the girls that night asking if they all wanted to come to New York for the concert as well as a small shopping trip before texting them back when Harry said he was going to give you his jet for it before excitedly texting Leah “oh my god Le Harry said we can use his jet for New York.” Leah sighed looking at the text “cool.” You texted back immediately “maybe we could sit together, only if you’re comfortable with it.” Leah’s head shot up as her mum spoke “who’s texting you that you can’t listen to a word I’m saying.” Leah rolled her eyes “just one of the girls asking if I wanted to go to New York, I have to check.” Amanda hummed “which girl.” Leah shook her head “one of them god mum stop snooping.”
As the days grew closer to your departure date your family couldn’t help but smile at your excitement, it’s the first time they had seen you this excited in a while. The plan had been set weeks ago you, Ella, Less, Chloe, and Alex would all stay at your house and leave for the airport together and meet your Mum and Sister in New York, you had texted Leah the plan but she simply said she would stay at Kiera’s and that Georgia was going to stay with them.
You had all gotten up at 4 am happily getting yourselves ready for the airport texting Leah updates before squeezing into the car Harry had sent to get you. You shot one last text to Leah telling her you were leaving and that you would see her shortly. After arriving at the airport you all got on the plane and sat waiting patiently for the last three girls, it was a surprise for the rest of the girls who were coming. An hour later Ella groaned “Y/n we have been waiting for ages come on your other friends aren’t coming.” You looked down at your phone again, all your texts had been left on delivered since you got up and you had tried calling her 15 times but to no avail, finally it was when the captain came out that you agreed to leave.
Landing in New York you turned on your phone to see a text from Leah stating her and the girls had slept through their alarms and where so sorry but they arranged to get a flight that would land 6pm New York time. Sighing you got in the car to drive to the Hotel before leaving to meet up with your Mum and Sister at a restaurant. “Come on Y/n cheer up we made it and your friends are on the next flight out.” You nodded along to Chloe’s words “right ok yeah let’s go.” Sitting in the restaurant with your mum you couldn’t help but keep checking the time on your phone. “Hey im going to head to the airport to meet the girls arriving in I’ll meet you all back at the hotel ok.” The girls all wished you goodbye as you hoped back into the black Cadillac to the airport. You texted Leah “hey you never sent your flight details, I’m guessing T1 I’ll see you soon, I don’t think I’ve said it yet, but thank you for doing this I love you Le.”
You stood excitedly at the welcome gate ready to wrap your girlfriend in a hug before your other friends. You sighed checking your phone as it read 6:45 before googling flights arriving into JFK only to see that the 6pm flight had in fact landed already and they should have been out ages ago, shaking your head you decided to text Leah again “hey love, did you girls get lost??.” You decided this time to also text Kiera “hey Kie, did you guys get lost on the way out, where are u??.” You looked up as more strangers emerged from the airport but still couldn’t see the trio before looking back at your phone as it buzzed “Y/n wtf are you talking about get lost where.” You frowned in confusion before typing Keira back “Getting lost in JFK in New York, Leah said your guys flight landed at 6pm.” You watched as the bubbles appeared on screen “eh wtf why would I be in New York, Y/n are you sure you’re texting the right girl.” Your breath hitched as you stared at your phone “Keira where are you.” You felt tears begin to prick your eyes “I’m in Manchester, with Lucy, Leah hasn’t texted me in a few days.” You shook your head, deciding to call Leah but of course it went straight to voice mail, you let out a huff as you began to speak “Le, darling I’m..I’m not mad I promise I just…what’s going on..please Le..Keira said you never said anything to her about New York…I just..Le please call me..I’m sorry if I pushed you to fast just let me know your ok…. We can organise to see each other when I get back…I love you…Le god do I love you.” You hung up the phone before turning to head back to the driver.
You couldn’t wait for New York but now all you wanted was for this trip to end.

LN4 X shy reader 🔥
You and Lando fly home to visit his family for Christmas, Lando can’t keep his hands off you.
~It was a cold day in England when we landed to visit Lando’s family. I haven’t seen them all for months after the season has ended. As we were waiting to get picked up from the airport Lando noticed my goosebumps and placed his jacket over my shoulders and pulled me into his side- just like every time he notices that I’m cold. However this time it made me blush more than normal as his dad was pulling up to the pick up point at the airport. It’s not that he hasn’t seen us hug before but it’s normally a good luck hug or a well done hug.. I am very shy and especially around family. It took me months to be okay with lando putting his arm around me at the garage (not that I didn’t like it I just don’t like attention being on me). Landos sister Flo jumped out of the car to help put our bags in the boot and gave us both a quick hug whilst telling her dad to blast the heating up as I was “practically freezing”. Adam just laughed and told us to get in before me finger tips fall off, Lan pulled open the back door for me and ran around to the other side to let himself in. The car journey wasn’t long and the entire way Lando kept his hand on my thigh rubbing circles as we drove to help calm my nerves, when we pulled up to the beautiful house they all call home everyone ran inside as it had just started raining. Lando quickly got our bags out before joining us all inside. As we entered I could smell the hot chocolate that landos mum knew was my favourite, bluey was playing on the TV which only meant one thing- landos nieces were also here to greet us. They came running and crawling through and Mila jumped straight into landos arms squealing whilst everyone laughed at the adorable encounter.
A few hours had gone by and I excused myself to go and freshen up before dinner. As I was drying myself off with a towel Lan came into the room and rapped his arms around my waist and started placing delicate kisses on my neck and shoulders. I turned around in his arms and planted a kiss on his lips which made him smile his bright radiant smile that I would never get bored of seeing. I wiggled away from him to get changed and noticed him plant himself on the large bed in the centre of the room. As I grabbed my clothes to try and go to the bathroom to change he stopped me. I was hoping he wouldn’t do this on the trip but apparently I was wrong, he hates when I walk away to get changed his point being he’s seen everything already so why wouldn’t I get changed In front of him. The problem is he doesn’t remember every time I change in front of him it takes double the time as he just can’t keep his hands to himself- which eventually results in him removing all my clothes and lying me down on the bed. Just as I was explaining that we don’t have time for his antics as all his family are waiting for us he shakes his head and tells me to just change here. I’ve learnt to pick my battles and this is not one I can be bothered fighting.
We eventually make it downstairs and join everyone else at the table, everything is going well until Lando places his hand on my thigh, this isn’t unusual for him but I can see in his eyes that he wants something more. I try to take his hand off my thigh but he just squeezes harder and moves higher up. I started to blush and take a sip of my drink, just as I put my glass back down I feel hot breath on my ear and immediately know who it is coming from. Lando is leaning into me and tells me to be a good girl and I will get rewarded later and leaves a seemingly innocent kiss behind my ear but what nobody can see is the devil like lick he leaves before he kisses. If I wasn’t red before I definitely am now, his entire family looking at us sweetly as their son and brother appears to be lovingly kissing me to soothe my nerves but what they don’t realise is that his hand has now made its way to be touching the outline of my underwear. I squeeze my thighs together to try and make it harder for him but that’s no match for his strong hands, as he pried my thighs back open a bit with one hand he manages to slip his fingers under my underwear and feel all the way up my slit dipping his finger in when he’s done. My breathe hitched as he drew his finger up to my bundle of nerves and circled it a couple of times, he leans over again and whispers into my ear how wet I already am and how naughty I’m being for enjoying his touch at a dinner table- he then removes his hand completely and wipes his fingers off on my thigh smirking at me.
I thought this would be the end of his attack but as we all settled down on the large sofas to watch a film he pulls me on his lap and throws a blanket over the both of us. This would be a normal scenario but there was enough seating for 15 people in this living room so I wasn’t sure why he wanted me on his lap. His sister throwing some popcorn at him stating he didn’t need to make her feel so single at Christmas time, he just smiled in return and kissed my temple wrapping his arms tighter around me. It was about 30 minutes into the film when I felt him pulling my legs apart so they were on the outside of his legs. I turned to whisper to him but when I looked at his face and saw the smirk he had whilst watching the film I knew I was done for, not even a second later he was dragging his hand up my thigh straight to where his hand had previously been at the dinner table, he moved my underwear to the side and swiped his finger up my slit and chuckled. He leant down and bit my ear as he dipped his finger back inside my whole, whispering how good I feel around him and to stay quiet. I bit my lip and couldn’t deny that this was a massive turn on, his finger inside me whilst his family was focused on the film. He started to pick up his pace and added another finger to the attack he was currently completing. I could feel the knot in my stomach begging to tighten and he must have felt it too as he leant down again and told me to let go and that I had been such a good girl taking his fingers so well for him. This completely tipped me over the edge and he covered my mouth as I came clenching around his fingers. Just as he removed his hand from my mouth his brother turned to ask if we wanted a refill, landos fingers still inside me he nodded his head for the both of us. He slowly moved in and out of me as his brother returned with our drinks. Lando then removed his fingers from inside of me and grabbed the glasses from his brothers hands, at this exact moment the screen went white and you could see landos fingers glistening as he took the glasses from his brother. I nearly chocked on nothing and Lando has his famous smirk back on his face, I was hoping his brother hadn’t noticed but when I looked up at him and he had the same smirk on his face as Lando and shaking his head I knew he had seen and knew exactly what had been going on. I buried my head into landos chest and could feel him chuckling whilst stroking my hair to soothe me, if this wasn’t embarrassing enough landos brother fist bumped Lando before going back to his own seat. I am definitely never getting changed In front of Lando again. ~

Uh! I'd like to request a JennaxFem!Reader oneshot!
So, I was thinking about Jenna inviting Reader to spend Christmas with her family!
Everyone is actually super cute with Yn, probably even too much and Jenna's mum is like "yeah, you know.. It's just great to see you since Jenna can't shut up about your beautiful eyes and handsome smile and we're happy you're dating now!!
And that's cool... it's nice, really... But they're not dating..
Merry Christmas
Word count: 2.1K
Summary: request above
Warnings: none
Pairing: Jenna Ortega X Fem!Reader
This was very cute to write! I hope you all like it 🤍✨
———
Ever since you lost your parents you didn’t really celebrate Christmas. Well you would, but you just didn’t have anyone to spend it with. The only times you celebrated it were when you were on set during the Christmas period and you would spend it together with the other actors, or if they went home to celebrate it you would spend it with the crew or you wouldn’t celebrate it at all. You didn’t even feel the Christmas atmosphere anymore, it had become just like a normal day, but with a decorated tree in the house, which you didn’t even put up anymore. You didn’t hate Christmas but you didn’t even love it. You had almost finished recordings for the year, and you were both chatting over the phone as you both separated from the set of “Wednesday” and headed to your apartments.
Jen (Y/N) I forgot to ask! Did you decide on what to do for Christmas?
You Uh not yet actually. I’m probably just gonna stay home and watch a movie🤷‍♀️
Jen aren’t you going home to visit your family?
You My parents left a while ago so I don’t really have anyone to celebrate it with🥲
Jen oh shoot sorry, I forgot about that🥺
You it’s Okay Jen, I’m used to it now, no need to worry❤️
Jen well do you wanna come spend it with my family? I’m sure they won’t mind and they’ll love you!
The request seemed strangely odd on her side. Jenna inviting you to spend Christmas, with HER? There was no way you would say no. But on the other hand, they didn’t know you, you didn’t know them it was gonna be so awkward. You had to admit you did like her, but there was no way in hell she would reciprocate her feelings… if it wasn’t for the fact that recently she had been spending more time with you. You kept telling yourself that maybe it was just because of the scenes, but even when you all went to dinner together she would sit next to you or walk next to you or snuggle up to you… each time you would tense up because of your feelings for her, and even though she gave you contrasting signals you never understood what she truly felt.
You realized you were taking too long to reply when another notification from her popped on your screen.
Jen you there?
You yes sorry. Are you sure your family won’t mind?
Jen yes I’m sure! Pleaseeeee🥺🥺
You smiled at the emojis
You okay then! Send me the location and tell me what time I should be there
This was how you went to wanting to spend Christmas alone to spending it with Jenna’s family. Well now you just had to buy the Christmas presents… you knew Jenna’s family was big and there were kids, too. You didn’t want to show up empty handed so obviously you had to. You went for Christmas sweaters for her siblings and parents, and toys for the kids, while for Jenna you brought a diamond necklace. You knew she loved Necklaces so it was an easy pick. You wondered what gift she would get you. Probably something simple, since you were just her friend… even if you wished you two were more.
You wanted to make a nice impression on her family so obviously you couldn’t just go wearing whatever you found in your closet, it was just a family dinner but on the other hand you couldn’t even dress up too elegant. So you decided to go with something simple, light gray jeans and a white and red short sweater, so you at least looked decent. You turned on the hair curler so you could make some waves and then you started putting make up on. That was simple too, just some eyeliner, some mascara and a little bit of highlighter. Though you didn’t quite look when you took the curler and ended up burning yourself on your right hand
“Shit, fuck-“ you told yourself as you immediately put the hand under ice cold water. Because of this little incident you were late. Not too late, like 10 minutes late. To say you were nervous was the least. You were freaking out, scared that they might hate you or that you might come out too harsh to them. Aside of that, you were now outside of her HUGE house (of course it was huge, they had lots of money) with two bags in hand, filled with Christmas gifts for all her family. As soon as you got to the door you rang the bell and soon after the door opened, with Jenna looking beautiful as she smiled at her. Your jaw nearly dropped, she was wearing a white blouse with a black mid-length skirt.
“Hi (Y/N)!” She smiled as she pulled you into a hug, you put a bag down and reciprocated the hug with a small smile, the perfume of hers filling your nostrils as you enjoyed every last bit of it. “Hi Jen, it’s good to see you” you say softly and both of you soon broke the hug to look at each other. “What’s up with the bags?” She asked curiously as she invited you in. You scratched your neck nervously and looked down “I uh- I brought some gifts for your family… I didn’t want to come empty handed so I bought gifts for all of you.. even for the kids” you smiled and she smiled back, leading you to the living room as she put a hand on your back almost lovingly.
As soon as you reached the room and everyone took a look at you, they immediately realized who you were and Natalie, Jenna’s mother, stood up, coming towards you as she hugged you. “(Y/N)! It’s so good to finally meat you! Jenna’s been talking a lot about you, I’m Natalie, nice to meet you!” She said smiling. You blushed a lot as you were introduced to her whole family. It was really embarrassing. It was very welcoming, too, but on the other hand it was kind of uncomfortable. You didn’t know how to act around them. “I uh- I brought gifts for all of you… It’s nothing much but, I hope you like it” you said and Natalie smiled at you again. “I’m so sorry we didn’t get you anything… Jenna only told us last minute that you would be coming too” she apologized. She was a very sweet woman, and so was the whole family.
“It’s okay really. Being here is just good, I haven’t spent one Christmas with an actual family and that felt actually like Christmas in years so this is just perfect” you said honestly as you smiled and sat down on the couch next to Jenna. “Honey do you mind me asking you why aren’t you spending Christmas with your family?” God no one hasn’t called you like that in years. You missed how it felt. “Well uh.. ever since I was young I wanted to be an actress. But my parents had bad experiences in this field, so as I turned 16 and insisted on wanting to become an actress, they made me chose. Either them or acting” you knew this would make you look bad, but you couldn’t lie to Jenna’s family.
“I know this might make me look bad, because I didn’t wanna be with them. But I couldn’t give up on my dream just because of their experiences. So ever since I haven’t heard from them and I didn’t actually celebrate Christmas unless I was on set and it has never felt the same. I’m almost 21 now so…” you shrugged “But being here is reminding me of some good memories. Thank you for letting me join you” you said smiling at the woman as you looked around. The house was filled with Christmas decorations and you felt like you were a little girl again. Jenna laid her head on your shoulder and you tensed up a little, why was she being this affectionate? Today it was even more than how she used to be.
“Oh Jen I forgot to give you your present” you said, also using it as an excuse to relax a little. You took a jewel box from your bag and handed it to her as everyone else was opening their presents and gave it to her. As soon as she noticed it was from her favorite jewelry she opened her mouth in shock. “You didn’t have to…” she whispered and smiled, you blushed and looked away, knowing that it was probably too much. Then she opened the small box “did you really get me a Diamond necklace!?” She said as she immediately took it out and put it on. “You have been ranting non stop about how much you wanted it so I got it for you” you said smiling and then she hugged you tightly. You hugged her back and soon enough you were at the table having lunch.
“You know” Natalie started again. You were taking a bite from your food as you turned to look at her. “I was thinking again that it’s so good to have you here. Jenna couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous your smile is and how beautiful your eyes are too, I’m now seeing she was right. It’s good to see you two are finally dating now” you almost chocked on your food and everyone turned to look at you. Wait, Jenna told them all that about you? And she told them she wanted to date you!? Your mind was going a million ways as you turned to look at Jenna noticing how she was smiling awkwardly. Her cheeks had turned a bit red as she tried to avoid all kind of eye contact with you. Though you didn’t want to ruin the moment so you decided to just go with it, maybe it was a way to tell her what you felt.
“Y-yeah” you tried to go along as you grabbed another bite. Your leg started bouncing up and down nervously. “It took us a while to realize our feelings for each other, but yeah. Let’s say I’m the shy kind of person and I would have never admitted my feelings first so I’m glad she took the first step” you watched how Natalie nodded, and then you turned to look at Jenna. Her leg was shaking too and she was biting her nails. You hesitated, but eventually grabbed ahold of her free hand and held it in your own. Finally, she turned to look at you and you smiled reassuringly before you both went back to your food.
After lunch everyone was basically free to do what they wanted so Jenna took your hand and took you to her room. When the door was locked she was the one who spoke first. “Was that true? What you told my mom, I mean.” She said as she looked at you. “Was what YOU said true?” You asked her, she didn’t reply. “You never told me anything-“ you started and she quickly interrupted you. “But neither did you!” She said and you walked closer to her with a soft look on your face. “Let’s not argue, please… just, do you really feel that way?” You asked in a low voice tone, almost whispering as you hesitantly brought a hand up to her face. At first you wanted to caress her cheek, but then you ended up moving a strand of hair behind her ear.
She didn’t reply. You were focused on her eyes, who looked at both of your own and then your lips and back to your eyes, forming a sort of triangle. She then brought both of her hands up to your cheeks, gently caressing it as she leaned in to meet your lips with her own as they started dancing in sync. You moved one of your hands to her back, pulling her closer to you as she hummed and smiled in the kiss. You soon pulled back for air, foreheads still connected.
“Does this answer your question?” She asked in a whisper. “Yes” you whispered back.

Something I’ll regret (Rúben Dias x Reader)
Tumblr media
**A little angsty request. I hope you all like it ❤️❤️ **
Word count: 2583
Masterlist
Wattpad
“Do you have any plans for today?”
“Yeah, I have to go to Bruno’s for an interview”, I tell my boyfriend Rúben while we have some breakfast. I’m not really looking forward to today but I can’t escape it either.
“Why do you have to be there for his interview?”
“It’s what the tv channel asked for”, I shrug.
I often have to be around for these types of interviews. People love it when famous people are related and I happen to be the cousin of one of Portugal’s biggest football stars. And I’m also dating another one of their stars…but we haven’t made that public yet.
“At least I get to just be there with the kids and hang out for a bit while they ask him things and I say two words. Could be worse”.
“Poor you”, he laughs.
“Well, it’s time I could spend with you instead of doing that”.
“Poor me, then”.
“I don’t have to leave just yet”, I say, giving him a wink.
                                    **
When I get to my cousin’s house, it’s his wife Ana who opens the door.
“Hi! You’re early. Come in”.
“Thanks. Are the kids back from school?”
“No, they’ll be here soon. They wanted to go play with some friends and their mum will bring them back here in a bit. I love your dress, by the way! You look stunning”.
“Thank you”, I say, blushing slightly. “Rúben bought it for me the other day, actually”.
“Take notes, Bruno!”
I can’t help but laugh when I see my cousin’s face.
“Thanks for that, Dias”, he mutters. “Ready for the interview? I told them not to ask about your personal life but you know how they are”.
“Yes, I’m ready. I guess”.
Being part of a small ballet company in Portugal doesn’t turn one famous. Having a famous boyfriend does. And when the press found out that the dancer who was dating a famous actor happened to be the cousin of a famous footballer, they just didn’t leave me alone. I went from having the most normal life to being followed by the paparazzi everywhere I went. I hated every second of it.
That relationship, thankfully, it’s over. And I promised to myself to never date someone famous again. My life was a lot simpler when no one knew who I was. But then I met Rúben when I visited Bruno after a Portugal match and…well, he made keeping that promise really hard.
At least he understands I want us to be private.
“There they are”, says Ana.
“The kids?”
“No, the journalists”.
Time to do this then.
                                       **
“And where is your beautiful cousin?”, I hear one of the reporters ask.
“She’s over there, playing with my kids. She’s their favourite cousin”.
When I see the cameras pointing at us, I move so the kids aren’t shown too much on camera.
“Hi!”
“Hello. How is life in England?”
“It’s alright. I love being here with some of my family”.
I expect the next question to be about work. I have moved on to other projects ever since I quit dancing, but no. Of course, the next question is about the same old topic.
“Anyone you met here that makes you want to stay? You know…as in a new love?”
“She doesn’t like talking about that”, interrupts Bruno.
“Yeah, I rather keep those things private. Sorry”.
“Of course, after what happened the last time…”.
By that, he means when my ex cheated on me and the whole country found out. Yes, that makes me want to be more private. But these people don’t get it.
“We’ll go play in the garden. Have a good rest of the interview”.
                                   **
Days later, I get to Rúben’s and find him watching Bruno’s interview.
“Why are you watching that?”
“I wanted to see you”.
“I’m right in front of you now, you can’t stop watching it”, I laugh.
“And…I also wanted to see what you were asked. You were in a bad mood after it and I was a bit worried when you didn’t want to talk about it”.
“Just the same thing they always ask”.
My mood isn’t the only one that changes after my words. I can see Rúben looking uncomfortable.
“What is it?”
“Nothing”, he says.
“Rúben, come on”.
“It’s just…I get why you want us to be private but if you said you have a boyfriend, they’ll leave you alone”.
“Are you really that naive?”
“Whatever. Whenever we talk about this, you just get all defensive”.
“Because you don’t get it, Rúben. And this wouldn’t just affect us. It could affect my cousin too”.
I know Rúben wants to say more. It’s written all over his face. But once again, he’s the one who stops before we say something we regret and just changes the topic.
A couple of hours later, while we are watching a movie, my mind goes back to our argument. I don’t think he’s right but maybe it’s worth a try. Maybe if I just say that I’m seeing someone, they’ll leave me alone. Ugh! I hate how complicated all of this has to be.
                                     **
One of the reasons why I’m staying in Manchester, apart from Rúben and my family, is that Bruno got me a small job at United. Every couple of weeks, I help the players with their recovery. They are a great bunch of guys, and there are a lot of Portuguese speakers in the team too. So overall, it’s a lot of fun and I get to earn a bit of extra cash, which is always nice.
Their social media team likes to film little bits of the sessions to put on youtube. And for the last few, it’s become a bit of a tradition for the players to annoy me after the sessions. Those little clips are shared by all the fans. They love them. And I know it's just banter so I don’t mind.
“Fans! Say thank you to our favourite teacher. We wouldn’t have won the Carabao Cup without her help”, says Dalot to the camera.
I just shake my head before my cousin takes Dalot’s arm off my shoulders. “Leave some space between your favourite teacher and yourself, Diogo”.
But his teammate just laughs at that comment and looks at the camera again. “Guys. He’s doing that so you all stop making up rumours about which one of us she’s dating. Captain Fernandes wouldn’t allow any of us to do it so there you go”.
I’m trying to leave when Antony joins the conversation.
“Ok, no one from United but what about the national team? Would you allow that, Bruno?”
That comment stops us from walking to look at Antony. What does he know?
Dalot, who knows about Rúben and I being together, is the first one to react. “What do you care, mate? You play for Brazil”.
“Just wondering”, he shrugs.
“He wouldn’t allow that either”, I say, leaving the room.
My reason for saying that is to avoid people looking at the Portugal team when I finally say that I have a boyfriend. But not everyone understands it that way.
                                     **
“Hello? Rúben?”
The apartment looks really dark despite not being that late, but I can hear some noise, so Rúben has to be home.
When I get closer, I realised that what I hear isn’t the tv, but the conversation I had with the boys only hours ago when I was in Carrington.
“He wouldn’t allow that either”, I hear coming out of Rúben’s phone. Of course, they added that clip to the video.
“Hey!”
“I’m trying to understand you, but I might give up”.
“What are you talking about?”
He sits up on the sofa and points at his phone.
“Are you embarrassed by me? By our relationship? Is that it?”
“What? No, Rúben. Why would I be?”
“I don’t get it. Why did you have to add that? You could have ignored that question but no, you couldn’t help it”.
“Yes, you don’t get it”, I say, tired of his accusations. “I just said it so when I say I have a boyfriend, they don’t go look at everyone my cousin knows first. That way we can stay private for longer”.
“We’ll never talk about our relationship if it was up to you. It’s one thing to be private but this is too much. I’m afraid of saying anything just so you don’t freak out. And it’s getting really boring, you know?”
“Well, it’s not as if you’re talking about your love for me every day, is it?”, I hate the bitterness of my words so much, but can’t control it.
“You don’t allow me to talk about us!”
“Is that really the reason? Or do you just don’t mention me because it’s better for you if people think you’re still single?”
I know I’ve gone too far the moment the words leave my mouth. I’m such an idiot.
“Get out”.
“Rúben, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…”.
“Get out now. Before I also say something I regret”.
And knowing he’s right, I leave. Head down, ashamed and worried about having messed up what Rúben and I have.
                                     **
The only place I can go is my cousin’s. And when he opens the door and sees my face, he understands something is wrong and lets me in without asking why I’m there.
“Do you want to talk about it?”, he says when he brings me a cup of tea.
“I messed up”.
“How? And I’m assuming we talk about Rúben, right?”
“Yes”, I sigh. “He watched the video United uploaded today and didn’t like that I said you wouldn’t let me date a teammate from the national team either”.
“I’ll talk to the boys so they stop pestering you with those questions”.
“Bruno, it’s not about them. I’m the problem. I keep hurting my boyfriend because I refuse to talk about our relationship. It’s me that needs to change. No one else. I can’t hide behind other people’s actions any longer”.
“Why do you do that? Refusing to talk about it. I respect your decision but you guys have been together for a while now. I expected you to have gone public months ago. And you know I’ve supported you since the beginning, so that can’t be it”.
Why am I doing this? Fear, simple as that.
“I don’t want a repeat of last time. And if people don’t know about us, then it can’t happen”.
“I get it, but it’s not really fair to Rúben, is it?”
But before I have time to say something, little Gonçalo runs towards his dad, asking for a hug. And so my cousin has to take him back to bed and do their little routine again.
I take my phone and end up on Rúben’s Instagram profile. When I see he’s uploaded a story, I can’t help but click on it. It’s actually a link to a post in the City profile and I go see what it is about.
It turns out he did some sort of Q&A for the team. He was asked about his fitness routine, and his favourite food, …and then I realise I’m a bigger idiot than I already thought.
To the question of what he likes doing in his free time, he answered “spending time with my girlfriend”. And as if that wasn’t painful enough to hear, I go to the last one. My cousin enters the room just as I’m listening to Rúben say “who inspires me the most? My girlfriend”.
I throw the phone away and put my hands on my face.
“I’m an asshole”.
                                    **
Despite wanting to run to Rúben’s the moment I watched those stories, I don’t. I know he needs time to be angry at me. He has every right to be. I just hope he can forgive me.
“When are you talking to him?”, asks Ana.
“Later. After his training. I want to give him some time to be alone”.
“Probably a good idea. He’ll be hurt after what happened”.
I volunteer to take the kids to school. I could use the distraction and they know how to cheer me up, making me sing songs on the way to school or playing games that have to be cut short because the drive there isn’t that long. But I promise them we’ll continue playing later.
When I finally go to see Rúben, I fear he might not be there. But after a second knock on the door, he opens it.
“I’m sorry”.
He doesn’t respond but leaves the door open so I can go inside.
“Rúben, I shouldn’t have said that”.
“No, you shouldn’t have”.
I sit next to him and try to hold his hand, expecting him to take it away. But he doesn’t. He lets me hold it and that small gesture gives me so much hope.
“You know what happened with my ex. The worst part wasn’t the cheating, but the fact that everyone knew. Because all the headlines and covers were about me. Me looking sad, me going out with friends despite people expecting me to be sad, …me me me. Everyone wanted to humiliate me. And I couldn’t stand it. I didn’t want to date anyone famous ever again”.
“I understand that”.
“I know you do. And I took advantage of you because of it. I forced you to do as I said because I knew you didn’t want to hurt me. And I was really unfair”.
“I wish I could say I disagree”.
“I get it, Rúben. And I’m sorry. So sorry. Can you try to forgive me?”
He looks up at me and I squeeze his hand harder without noticing I’m doing it. I’m really that scared of him saying he can’t forgive me. I can’t lose him.
“Only if you change. I’m happy having a private relationship but I can’t live constantly worried about saying something that uncovers the secret. I want to be able to mention you, even if I don’t say your name. This whole thing is exhausting. And…I know a part of you didn’t want us to go public because you are afraid I could do what your ex did. And while I get it, it hurts to know you think that of me”.
I try to avoid his eyes but he doesn’t allow me, holding my chin so I look at him.
“Tell me I got it wrong”.
“You didn’t”, I confess. “I would feel the same with anyone. I guess that’s what happens when you’re cheated on once. But I trust you. Really. I wouldn’t be with you if I didn’t. And I also wanted to protect you”.
“From what?”
“People creating drama between my cousin and you”.
“Let us worry about that, ok? We can protect ourselves well”.
I hesitantly move closer to Rúben, and when he allows me to do that, I put my arms around his waist. I missed being this close to him.
“I’ll change. I’ll stop being so worried and afraid about people knowing about us”, I tell him, meaning every single word. “And I trust you. Honestly. I won’t make you feel again like I don’t. Because you don't deserve it”.
“That’s all I needed to hear”.
“Am I forgiven?”, I ask, looking up at him and when I see him moving closer to kiss me, I can’t help but smile.
“You know I can’t stay mad at you long. And yes, you’re forgiven”.

Just wondering if you would ever consider writing a Matty fic where he falls in love with a fan in the audience of a show? Maybe he writes songs about it all? It’s very cliche but man does it pull on my heart strings, the Cinderella of it all. Getting swept up into his life like that would be so romantic.

Part one
Strayed a little but it’s still very much fluff filled, maybe not what you’d first expect? Idk, that sounds strange but I hope you enjoy it anyway! Thank you for the prompt!<3
Part Two
Tumblr media
--
It was official.
After days of relentless pleading and having been so blatantly coerced into it by my mum and younger sister, I’d finally relented and given in to attending the concert. And I sort of hated myself for it. Strange, I know, but now I had no choice but to see some fuck-off band- I’d never even heard of- with my teenage sister and her best mate, who were practically mad about them.
I mean, I love the girls, I truly do. With all my heart. But having to spend an entire evening with them, surrounded by a thousand other screaming fans, just wasn’t something I was looking too forward to.
And who could honestly blame me?
You see, it had all begun earlier that same week. I’d been on my lunch break, grateful to have just a minute to myself, when my mum had called. We’d gone through the motions, happy to catch up; she told me the gossip whirling round back home (next door were back to rowing again and Tracey in the post office had fallen pregnant for the seventh time); she’d asked after me, like she always did, questioned if I was eating enough, sleeping alright, if I’d met anyone new…
My mum and I had always been pretty close. She’d had me young, I was her first baby- something she never failed to remind me of- and we’d sort of grown up together. Seeing as how my father (nickname: The Sperm-Doner- yes, the caps were necessary) had gone and fallen into all kinds of shit and ultimately decided to fuck off when things had gotten too real. She was my rock, the one person I could count on to defend my corner, and always believed in everything I ever set my mind to.
It had been hard on the both of us when I’d left home, especially seeing as I was now a couple dozen cities away. But life continued on and we adapted, I went back to visit as much as I possibly could, and called whenever I had the time. Even though in moments when all I really needed was a good hug from her, it was easy to remember what I was doing this all for, and that my family was only a train journey away. They were a constant, even if they lived a couple hundred miles from me.
So she had phoned, I’d immediately noticed the stress which underlined her tone and I’d asked what was up. She’d danced around the topic as much as she could- she hated asking for things, ‘that’s my job,’ she liked to reiterate whenever something occurred and I tried to help out. But I’d dragged it out of her in the end. And oh how I now wished that I’d just left it.
Because here I was, stood in the freezing cold, outside of the O2 arena, in a line full of a couple hundred other excited fans who were all waiting eagerly for the gates to open.
The two girls were squirming beside me, so ecstatic you’d have thought that I’d gone and laced their drinks with something other than sugar, jumping all about the place whilst they squealed to one another in such a high pitched tone that anyone else would’ve believed that they were conversing in another language all together.
It was amusing to a point, because I could honestly recall the same euphoric high I’d felt when I’d finally gotten tickets to an Arctic Monkeys gig almost a decade ago now.
Internally I winced as the memory drifted to the forefront of my mind, feeling far too old for my twenty-three years.
But I could also admit that I was honestly in a tad bit of a mood, had been for the last half hour or so, because I truly fucking hated the cold. And right now? It was baltic and I was freezing my tits off.
I’d already buried my face into the opening of the leather jacket I’d thrown on that morning and wrapped my arms around my torso to enclose some of my remaining heat, but it was of little use. I was still shivering away with a frown.
I’d gotten a couple of lingering looks whilst here, something I’d noticed but could’ve cared less about. It was far too cold to be stood about waiting in any sort of line, so they could all excuse me for not being overly delighted with the whole ordeal.
I sighed and peered down at my phone screen, glancing at the time, then double checked my pockets for the tickets I’d been handed on arrival and told to guard with my life.
It was probably the twentieth time I’d done so, because who in their right mind would give me, of all people, something important to look after? I was the least irresponsible person I knew when it came to being organised.
Because listen, I could get anywhere on time, I was insanely good at that- a job interview, an airport, a school play… But nine times out of ten, I’d almost always forget the one thing I’d needed most. My resume, everybody’s passports, the wig I’d worn one halloween and promised to my younger brother so that he could complete his costume in time for his class assembly…
Yeah, so I was a bit of a mess. But who wasn’t?
Albeit saying that, I had ultimately been the one to score these tickets. My mum and step-dad had gifted them to my younger sister as an early Christmas present after she’d literally begged for months on end during the lead up to the drop of the presale.
It had just been the three of us, all sat down in the family living room, back home up north, earlier this year. We’d counted down the minutes, a dozen devices in hand and at the ready, and it had been something short of a miracle, in all truth.
The website had crashed a couple times, my step-dad’s phone had died, and then my laptop had quickly followed. The dog had knocked over a freshly made brew and almost pissed itself. And then the postman had scared the absolute life out of us when he’d knocked on the front door.
So to say that we had all breathed in sudden relief when I’d loudly announced that I’d managed it, was a MASSIVE understatement.
Note. The worst part to seeing your favourite band live; Ticketmaster.
Even the thought of doing it again had me riddled with anxiety. I shivered involuntary, whether it was from the mere idea of it, or the cold, I’d never know.
But being stood here now, I was cursing myself for having been the one to officially bag the stupid things. I sighed inwardly, if only I wasn’t such a brilliant, caring and amazing older sister. But it was a hard life, I supposed.
“I’m so excited!” My sister, Rosie, squealed, drawing me from my thoughts. She’d gripped onto Tea’s arm in her sudden bout of elation, and the two shared a maddening grin. The other girl didn’t seem to mind the tight grip her best friend held, and so I figured it was probably down to the anticipation of it all- or the fact that it was still so bloody cold.
The thing about Rosie and Tea was, they had been as thick as thieves for as long as I could remember. There’d never been one without the other, and so it was sweet to see the pair looking so forward to something like this, something which they both shared such an obvious love for.
“I know!” Tea breathed dramatically, looking a little flushed, “I want to meet them so bad, it actually hurts.”
I fought the urge to roll my eyes at the pair, in good fun of course, because they were both so adorably obsessed.
Oh, to be a teen again.
“You two are really looking forward to this,” I commented with a light chuckle, watching on as the two girls danced around happily in the small section we’d claimed. “I just don’t get it.”
Once those words had left my lips, I instantly regretted it. Having been met with the deathly glare of two teenage girls was not something I’d offer up to just anyone.
“Are you serious?” My sister outrightly demanded, staring up at me with a face of utter bewilderment. Scarily, she looked a lot like our mum in that moment. “They’re The 1975, Y/n. They’re- incredible! You must have heard at least one of their songs!”
Tea nodded her head alongside Rosie, bobbing up and down in agreement.
I simply shrugged at the pair of them, finding amusement in their infatuation. “Can’t say that I have, Ro.”
“But, Y/n/n, you love bands! Music in general- I’d bet my whole vinyl collection that you’ll love them too!” Rosie stressed, she then smiled brightly up at me when I merely quirked a brow in retort. I dug my hands deeper into my pockets.
“I like bands, yeah. Band’s like The Stone Roses, The Kooks, Joy Division… The type that make music for music’s sake, you know? Not the kind that strive to get on the top ten, babe.”
I shook my head fondly at the two.
This band they were so enamoured by were probably just as decent as they claimed, and I could admit that simply because, well, they’d have to be to have all these crazy fans gathered in one place. But they just weren’t my cup of tea.
Ooh, talking of tea, I was proper gagging for one. I’d yet to have my daily fix, and after having been rudely rushed out of my flat early this morning, I’d been unable to stop off at any sort of coffee shop on the way over in fear of losing a spot in line.
The two teens rolled their eyes at me, and my forehead pinched when my sister pulled out a pair of headphones and all but shoved them into my ears. “Look, just listen, okay?”
I reeled back in alarm, having not expected the sudden ambush. “Christ, Ro!” I exclaimed, but the girl only huffed at me before turning to press play on her phone. She gave me a stern look. I relented.
At first, I couldn’t hear anything but the slow intro to an unfamiliar song- even with the swarm of fans gathered around me. But I continued to listen, honing in on the tempo and its melody. And as the song went on, I begun to understand why so many people enjoyed it. The lyrics, although a bit out there and entertainingly vulgar at parts, were smart and witty, they fell with the instrumental perfectly and the singer’s voice was pretty different to what I’d first expected. It made me want to really listen, to follow along, to understand the backstory.
Honestly, they weren’t half as terrible as I’d first believed. And once the outro had faded out, I actually felt a little conflicted. The song obviously had a much deeper meaning to it, but its instrumental made it so lively and energetic that I’d found myself bobbing along almost subconsciously. It was something I could see myself getting lost in, and I wondered whether or not they’d made anything more raw, or emotional.
The songwriter was definitely talented, I couldn’t deny that, they’d had gone through some shit, and I found myself longing to read deeper into their words.
“They’re sick, right?”
The headphones being ripped out of my ears brought me back to the present and I blinked slowly at my sister’s question.
“Yeah.” I shrugged a shoulder, handing over the wire. “Yeah, they’re alright. Can sort of see why you two like them so much.”
I laughed to myself when the girls faces lit up.
“They’re amazing! And you’ll so enjoy this show- as well as the boys! They’re proper nice deep down, like really care about us as fans and all that.” Tea encouraged, seemingly quite happy that I hadn’t just gone and shit all over her favourite band.
“Yeah, they’re so lovely, Y/n!” Rosie added, eyes alive as she barrelled on to explain further, “There’s four of them, right? First, we have Adam, he plays the guitar mainly- blonde, tall, only one who’s started his own little family. And then there’s Ross and George-”
“Ross is on bass, long haired with a beard, whilst George plays the drums.” Tea weighed in, before Rosie was back to chattering away again.
I was honestly beginning to feel as though I was watching an extreme game of tennis with the way my attention kept batting back and forth between them.
“Tea’s obsessed with him.” Rosie felt the need to inform me, before her face immediately brightened, “Oh, and then there’s Matty of course!”
My sister was wearing one of the biggest grins I’d ever witnessed on any singular person and I snorted when Tea rolled her eyes and made a slight dig, “You can see who Ro’s claimed.”
“Hardy har.” Rosie deadpanned, jutting a light elbow into her friend’s side before she gave me a serious look, “I haven’t ‘claimed’ him. I just…”
“You just want to have his children. Yeah, I know, Rose. You never fail to not mention it.”
Rosie stuck her tongue out in retort whilst I tried to bite back my rising amusement when they continued to bicker. The two made a right pair.
“So, what’s this Matty like then?” I questioned, wanting to know a little bit more about the guy who’d caught my sister’s eye, but mainly just eager to poke a bit more fun at her. “Come on, what’s so great about him that you’ve gone and dubbed yourself a tribute to birth his prodigy spawn?”
The girls wrinkled their noses at me, Rosie’s upper lip curled in faint disgust. “Why’ve you gotta word it like that?” She scoffed, shaking her head at me.
I chuckled, shrugging a singular shoulder. “Because I live to annoy you. So, are you gonna tell me or do I have to ask about?”
I made the effort then to pretend as though I was about to disrupt the group behind us’s conversation, but the girls were quick to waylay me, jumping hastily to grab at my outstretched hand. I smirked.
“Stop it!” Rosie all but hissed, her worried eyes flicking back over towards the people beside us before falling on me again, this time they were slitted. “God, you’re so embarrassing.”
Me, embarrassing? Hah. She should be thankful that I knew when to stop. I could still vividly recall the days when my mum had attempted the same shit with me, except she’s the type to actually follow through, leaving her daughter to stand sheepishly behind her, internally cursing the day her mother had decided to forgo an abortion. Dark, yes, but I’d also been a hormonal fifteen year old girl, so sue me.
I rolled my eyes instead of voicing this though, knowing it would only go in one ear and out the other. And ultimately, my sister sighed allowing me to prompt her on further with the rise of my brows.
“Matty, he’s the frontman basically.” She said, back to talking with her hands, forgetting about the whole ordeal.
That made sense, I thought to myself, although I’d always been a drummer sort of girl. Helders, Taylor, Fleetwood, Bonham, Moretti… I could go on.
No honestly, I could, so I was just glad that Rosie chose that moment to stop me.
“He’s a proper performer, you know? Like he just belongs up there, on stage.” My sister breathed, and she wore the sweetest look of admiration on her face. “He’s got this mop of messy black curls and he’s covered in tattoos. Wears all this cool shit and he’s-”
“-also a bit of an arsehole.” Tea summarised for her, before Rosie could get too carried away.
I blinked at my sister’s best friend in surprise, before a loud laugh bubbled out of me.
In all the years I’d known this girl, this deceivingly sweet girl, not once- once, I stress!- had I ever heard something so shameless spill from out her mouth, and with the exasperated look she had paired with it, I couldn’t hold in my delight.
“Tea!” I exclaimed, and was so tickled to see the younger girl’s cheeks redden when she turned to give me a sheepish sort of smile. “How crass! I always thought it was Rosie who’d been the bad influence between the pair of you, but now I see quite a few secrets are coming to light tonight.”
Rosie snorted in reply, “She’s done worse. Trust me.”
Tea swatted at my sister’s arm upon hearing that, widening her eyes in a silent warning.
“Oh, come off it.” Rosie waved away with a roll of her eyes. “It’s just Y/n.”
I decided to leave off of the teasing, feeling a bit bad for embarrassing the younger girl. “Yeah, I’m just messing, lovie.” I told Tea with a soft smile as I draped an arm over her shoulders to draw her in for a hug. “You can relax, nothing that happens tonight will be getting back to your mum, alright?”
“Yeah, ‘cause we all know what she’s like.” Rosie tittered under her breath and I slapped lightly at her bicep to scold her. “What?” The girl exaggerated with a high-pitched drawl, rubbing at her arm with a narrowed eyed glare that was directed towards both Tea and I. “I was just saying! And what’s with you two and smacking me about today?”
Tea giggled and I squeezed her lightly before letting go.
“Don’t talk about things that have nothing to do with you.” I told my sister simply, “Freya’s a perfectly lovely woman, just a tad…”
“Insane?” Rosie offered, at the same time Tea said, “Extreme.”
“Eccentric- was what I was going to say.” I shook my head at the duo. “Honestly, the two of you.”
The girls only laughed.
The line started to move a little while later, slowly mind, but it was a progress I was grateful to see.
Anything to get out of this chilly wind in truth.
And as we waddled along, the two teens I was with continued to speak of the band, trying to catch me up on anything and everything I’d missed before the show officially started.
Not that it helped at all. I was beyond crap when it came to things like that- recalling anything trivial- I could hardly even remember the band’s actual name and it was plastered practically everywhere around me. As well as this big box thing.
I breathed out a loud sigh of relief when I realised that we were up next, and when we were signalled over towards the gates by one of the arenas guards I could see just how nervous Rosie and Tea had grown, giddy but mostly eager to just get inside. I couldn’t help the fond smile which limned my lips then, happy to see them so excited.
“You three.” A large man, branded in a security uniform, called, jerking his head over at us. I heard the girls take a deep breath as we approached and I quietly chuckled at them. “Tickets?” He stated.
Oh shit, yeah. The tickets.
“Tickets…” I murmured quietly to myself, patting down my pockets to find them, “Tickets, tickets, tickets…”
I could feel the apprehension radiating off of my younger sister as I continued to riffle around for the poxy things, and so I flashed the bloke a wry smile before I started to unload the contents of my jacket pockets into both Rosie and Tea’s hands...
Gum, house keys, a stray tampon. Pack of haribo (because you never knew when you’d need those), ID, bank card, phone, charger. A few spare pound coins-
Oh God, that was where my Argos receipt had got to! I could finally return that shitty Nespresso machine my cousin and her fiancé had talked me into buying now.
I grinned in quiet victory whilst tucking the slip into the back pocket of my trousers.
“Y/n.” My sister stressed out in a hushed whisper, I just simply waved her off.
“They’re here somewhere. I felt them like, twenty minutes ago.” I assured her and- “Aha, told you! Three tickets, all here!”
I wore a triumphant grin when I held out the wrinkled papers towards the guard, who appeared to have been throughly amused by my prolonged charade. He took them from me to scan with a toothy smile.
“Oh cheer up, we’ll be in there in a sec.” I huffed at the girls, tucking all of my belongings back into their rightful place. Rosie didn’t look too cheerful though, but I could see that Tea’s lips had started to twitch, so I have her a conspiratorial wink in turn. Then glanced back towards the bloke, “We all good here?”
“Yeah, all good, love.” He exhaled on a faint chuckle, waving us in through the barrier without further issue. “You girls enjoy your night.”
“We will!” I promised, gifting him a gleeful smile, “You too- hope you don’t have to spend too much longer out in that cold!”
He just nodded at me, still looking rather entertained by all our antics.
“So embarrassing.” My sister felt the need to reiterate as we wondered further into the arena, practically growling.
“Oh, loosen up, would you? He was proper nice about it all. Fit too, don’t you think?” I said, glancing back over my shoulder.
But Rosie just rolled her eyes at me. Fed up, I was about to bite back at her when Tea’s unexpected gasp broke us from our little quarrel.
“Oh my god. They have the limited edition LP!”
Rosie’s eyes widened dramatically and before I knew it the two were scurrying away from me and over towards the merch stand. I sighed to myself and glanced about, hoping to see a sign that would lead me to where the bar might be.
We were here. In the middle of a fucking mass of people, but we’d actually done it. We’d finally managed to swindle our way near the front of standing, practically touching the barriers, even after having loaded up on snacks and drinks- mine mostly alcoholic.
The girls were buzzing. Looking all cute and excited in the outfits they’d planned months in advance, singing along to the set that was playing through the speakers to keep the crowd entertained before things begun.
And me? I was getting swept up in the atmosphere. Unable to believe that I’d almost forgotten how good it all felt. Because live music was truly unmatched.
There was just something about the heavy thud you felt in your veins, how being this close to the amps could make your chest ache in the very best way, and how’d you’d have to scream just to be heard over all the noise whilst you got lost in an avalanche of happy people.
It really had been too long.
I was already a fair few drinks in by the time the opening act came out, and was chatting away to the couple crowded beside us. They were both a year older than me and studying down in Bournemouth. They’d bought their tickets off of a mate, who hadn’t been able to make it, on a whim when they’d had the cash to spare, and had decided to make a weekend out of it.
We’d actually only gotten to talking when they’d almost sloshed a canned cocktail all down my back.
I’d been startled at first, rightfully so, as this giant of a man had all but stumbled right into me, eyes as wide as saucers. His boyfriend had come to his rescue though, offered me up one in apology, and who would I have been to deny?
So I’d cracked it open, found myself pleasantly surprised by the taste, and one thing had quickly led to another and they’d ended up letting me share the bagged vodka they’d also managed to smuggle into the stadium in the bands of their socks.
To say that I’d been impressed wouldn’t have been a lie, I sort of felt like I’d found my people in truth. Because the price of alcohol at these kind of events was always extortionate. Practically daylight robbery, there was no other way about it.
And my bank account had taken quite the hit from the first trip to the stands alone. And with two teenage girls, who could care less about money unless it was their own, I’d almost wanted to shed a tear when I’d handed over my card to the boy behind the till- he’d sympathised with me, I’d seen it in his eyes as he wished us a good time.
So here I now was, pissing it up in the pit with a bunch of strangers, a medical bag full of spirits clutched tightly in one hand.
“Oh, God! Y/n, Y/n! It’s starting!”
I turned away from one of the boys to glance back towards my sister, who was staring up at the stage with this starry eyed expression, Tea was right beside her wearing the exact same face. I chuckled beneath my breath.
“You girls ever been to a show before?” Lewis, one half of the couple I’d met earlier, asked Rosie.
My sister shook her head at his question whilst the screens above us begun to distort and screams overwhelmed the arena. Lewis merely chuckled at Rosie's nonverbal reply, she only had eyes for the stage it seemed.
“It’s her first gig ever. She’s been dying to see these lot for years.” I answered for her, leaning in close so that he could hear.
I saw his eyebrows lift at the information before he was grinning against my ear. “She’ll never want to see anyone else after this!”
My forehead pinched, silently questioning his statement, but just laughed it off when a row of boxes flashed brightly above us.
Lewis and I separated on cue, just as the world around us hushed for a split second and the sudden intro of a loud guitar pierced the veil.
“Please welcome, my favourite band, The 1975!” A voice then announced and I looked up, right into the eyes of a man who’d seemingly taken claim of the stage.
His smile was wide, unmatched, as he pranced up and down the front, his hair a mess of curls as a set of drums picked up the pace of the opening beat. I had to be reminded to close my gawping mouth.
Who the fuck’s that?
And I must’ve said it out loud, because I heard Lewis snort obnoxiously from right beside me, continuing to sing away whilst the girls immediately turned towards me to shout, “Matty!”
Shockingly, their loud exclamation also managed to garner the attention of the man himself when he danced by, and I watched on as the dark-haired frontman smiled down at Rosie and Tea. Waving hello.
I was caught by utter surprise when I then found myself trapped in his heady gaze, still giggling away at the girls' hysterical reactions.
Okay. Before I continue on, I truly am putting this all down to the alcohol that was streaming through my system, because it was then that Matty appeared to pause before me for the briefest of moments.
And I didn’t dare look away. I couldn’t.
He smirked down at me, eyes so observant, and I found myself shaking my head at him with a smile of my own. But sadly he only left me with a sly wink as he traipsed away to sing out into the rest of the audience.
Rosie and Tea had squealed beside me, excited to have captured the singer's focus, whilst I tried to catch my breath.
The show continued on after that and I allowed myself to relax and get lost in the people, their heat, the music. I danced, the girls and I swayed, twirling about, Lewis and I laughed, and I even managed to sing along to a couple of songs I sort of recognised.
The current one came to an end though soon enough, and Rosie informed me with a glossy eyed smile and smudged liner that the last song was fast approaching, whilst Tea just pulled out her phone to record again.
I nodded at my sister, squeezing her close before she pivoted away back towards her best mate, leaving me to sip at the drink I’d been trying not to spill all down myself due to the constant shoving and pushing.
Minutes went by and Matty engaged with the burly bloke on bass- whose hair I found I’d rather like to touch (because honestly, how did he get it so glossy?). Before he continued on, pointing out signs here and there, and sparking up another massive round of cheers by vocalising the inner workings of his mind, which was something he supposedly did quite often. Enough for the rest of the band to begin playing again only to shut him up. That had made me giggle.
Dozens of faces passed over the main screen, most of them beaming, or crying, there wasn’t much of an inbetween. And Matty interacted with them all, grinning and joking in such a way that only screamed sincerity.
The shouts around us only started to double then when he made his way over to our section, and even my own heartbeat sped up as I watched his eyes drag over the absurdly large crowd. He was unfairly attractive, okay? I could easily see why my sister had taken such a shine to him.
He was smiling and my pulse stuttered then stopped altogether when Matty paused right by us, to look me directly in the eye, his eyebrows drawn tightly together.
“Alright, darling? Having a good night?” He quizzed me, the sudden weight of his attention making me jump even though the surrounding screams had yet to cease. “What’s in the bag?”
I glanced down at the liquid filled bag I was still holding, gaze drifting to Lewis for a split second before it darted back up towards the singer. “Vodka.” I told him before I could think better of it.
The sound Matty produced then was almost inhuman and I was actually quite proud of myself for having been the cause of it.
“Definitely snuck that in.” He accused, quieter this time around and with a growing smile. The audience laughed.
Rosie and Tea spun around to face me, huge smiles threatening to split their faces in half, as my brows pinched.
“Way to out me to an entire arena!” I instantly called back, ducking slightly to avoid the eyes of the hefty security man stood on the other side of the barricade. Matty’s cackle echoed out around me, coming from all directions.
“Oi, mate! Escort her out, will you?” Matty ordered, nodding down at the same man I’d previously noticed. “Ruining it for everyone.”
I gaped, eyes widening in sudden alarm whilst he just shook his head at me, feigning disappointment.
Thankfully though the singer was quick to go back on his word, waving the guard (who had actually begun to MOVE) off with a sway of his hand and a thoroughly amused grin.
Fuck, this man was really going to be the death of me, I thought.
I willed my racing heart to slow.
“I’m just joking, love.” Matty reassured me, eyes twinkling under the array of lights. “Spotted you a couple times tonight, actually. Like to stand out, don’t you?”
It didn’t sound like much of a question.
“Might do.”
I could physically feel my brain struggling to make my mouth cooperate, and I figured I might’ve drunk a tad too much, because I usually wasn’t this tactless. Which was how I managed to surprise even myself with the next sentence I fired back.
“Or maybe it’s just you.”
“Just me?” Matty queried with a tilt of his head, and he squatted down then, bouncing on the balls of his feet for a moment before he took perch on the side of the stage. “What do you mean?”
“You’re the one who spotted me.” I retorted with a smug smile, raising my voice to be heard. “I’m just one face in a thousand. Nothing I did.”
He hummed, mouth quirked to one side. “So this is all on me then?”
I shrugged casually, but my mind was reeling.
Matty laughed before he motioned me closer. “Here’re.” He prompted, jutting his chin out and willing the crowd to woefully part. “Come on, let her through. Let her through.”
I frowned but did as I was told, slipping my way past the few who had actually managed to claim the metal fence before us, quirking a confused brow up at him.
He towered above me, even from where he was seated on the stage, and I willed back my shock when he proceeded to jump down from off his perch and approach me. My heart hammered and a lump formed in my throat.
“Have you got a favourite song of ours?” He asked and I actually felt how embarrassed I must have looked in that moment, gifting the singer a sheepish smile before I quietly informed him that I didn't have one.
His head jerked back, “What do you mean, you don’t have one?”
The sudden crow of Rosie's voice sounded above the rest of the buzzing noise then and I was unsure on whether or not to be grateful for it.
“She’d never heard any of them before tonight!”
I grimaced slightly from behind the hand that had come up to hide my face, silently hoping for the ground to just open up and swallow me whole. I could feel the heat radiating in my cheeks and the tips of my ears, knowing full well that Tea was definitely recording every inch of this mortifying moment.
“Oh, so we have a fake fan within our midsts?” Matty voiced and it was full of mirth, he found pleasure in his teasing.
A soft brush touched my skin and before I even knew what was occurring my hand was being pried away from my flushed cheeks by the singer himself, who looked me dead in the eye and had the utter nerve to wear the most devastating grin.
“Is this all part of your plan? Lure me in and then break my heart. How’re you at my gig, after never having heard a single one of our songs?”
“I’ve heard a few!”
But my attempt to defend myself was waylaid, it seemed Matty had other ideas.
The frontman nodded over towards Rosie, who blanched under his gaze. “Go on. Tell me more. What’s her motive here?”
I watched on as Tea nudged my younger sister into talking, Rosie too shellshocked to remember that she had the biggest gob I’d known to man.
“Um,” My sister startled, blinking away before she took a deep breath, “I dragged her along tonight. Me and my friend, we’re huge fans!”
“Lovely to meet you. Glad you could make it- only wish you’d made a listener out of this one beforehand!”
“We’ve tried!” Rosie exclaimed with an exasperated sigh that had me rolling my eyes. It appeared as though she'd reverted back to her usual self, despite being under the gaze of her favourite person in the entire world. Yes, you could be assured that that was an actual quote.
“Oh it’s like that is it?” Matty asked, peering down at me. I couldn’t tear my gaze away, his brown eyes smudged with kohl making them that much more enticing.
His attention differed then, flitting back towards my sister.
“She seemed to be enjoying the set whenever I looked over though, so what happened?”
“She’s stubborn!” Rosie shouted back, and I could hear her muffled laughter through the crowd, probably upon seeing me so put out.
“Stubborn, are we?” Matty smirked, and his lips were by my ear before I knew any better, his mic long forgotten. “I like a challenge.”
And then he was gone, back to wooing the crowd and making the most of having all this attention.
I let myself slip back into the seams, breathing heavily as my sister and Tea joggled me about, Lewis and his boyfriend beaming madly from ear to ear. I tried to focus.
What had just happened?

______________________________________________________________________
You had been living in the small town you were born in for all your life, and that meant all your life, you never spent a year abroad, never went to schools outside and even vacations or visits out of town were never longer than a week. You basically knew this place like your right pocket, and everyone there knew you and you and your family as well.
It wasn’t that you particularly hated it, it was more that you were so goddamn bored of it, this place felt like a desert at times, and really, the only thing that even attracted people from outside was the diner down the streets, ‚Freddy Fazbears Pizza‘ a pizzeria ran by two of your fathers friends he met in college. The place was actually a huge hit all around the state, gradually extending its popularity all around the country, which was because of, you guessed, the children’s entertainment animatronics that had always been the face of the franchise.
Despite it easily being the hottest place in town for both children and adults, it wasn’t a place you particularly liked to spend your time at, first of, the animatronics always creeped you out a little bit, secondly, since Henry was particularly close to your dad, should you have run into him at the restaurant, you‘d always have to awkwardly try and chitchat, which was nearly unavoidable with him being at the place like every day anyway. The only time you ever really went down there was when your parents asked you to go and pick up some pizza to eat for lunch or dinner and despite him sometimes being a bit too friendly for your own taste, Henry was a nice man, often times telling you to keep the money your dad gave you and to take the food on the house, that was always a welcomed boost for your wallet.
Right now, you sat on the sidelines of your family’s garden in the shade trying to block out the soldering heat that was a summer in Utah, your family was hosting a barbecue at your house, inviting Henry with his wife and kid, as well as the Aftons from down the block, you never knew them as well as the Emilys, but you were always well aware of their existence.
In the garden, three kids ran around the active sprinklers, Charlotte, Elizabeth and Evan. Out of the bunch, Charlie was the one that you were most comfortable with, she was a nice and respectful kid and most of all knew her boundaries, while on the other hand Elizabeth was just too extroverted and energetic for your taste, and while he was a good kid at heart, Evan always felt like a bit of a time bomb. You never wanted to handle the awkwardness of accidentally making a small child cry that you always felt came with interacting with him.
Both Liz and Evan belonged to the Aftons, they did have another brother called Michael, but just like you, he was long an adult and instead of jumping around the cold sprinklers rather sat in the shade, far away from anyone else.
You looked up to the parents mostly standing out in the middle of the porch, your mum and dad were both next to the active grills, chatting with Henry and his wife, while off on the side a bit away from them, there he was, William.
Honestly, you never spend a lot of time around him, for one, when you were down at the pizzeria, he was apparently working in the back and when you were home, if Michael was telling the truth he was usually in the downstairs basement working on new ‚creations‘. All enough to tell you that he wasn’t very sociable which felt a bit ironic knowing he managed a restaurant chain targeted at kids.
The only times you saw him was when he occasionally chatted with your dad in front of the house, peeking out his office at the pizzeria or that one time he helped your mom fix her car, but really you didn’t remember the last time you saw him like this, in a populated area with his family, standing around in the open.
Visually, you didn’t find him particularly …unappealing, he was a tall, slender guy, with short and messy brown hair and most times in mediocrely formal attire, his eyes were quite cool and most times sunken in with a typical, wide, british grin, which was also mirrored in his accent.
Who were you really kidding here? You didn’t think of your dad‘s friend as unattractive, he was the typical, dilfy, older guy for you, and finding him so appealing was also one of the factors why you didn’t really come around to the pizzeria the last few years. You questioned your tastes a little bit, after all, a lot of the neighborhood kids and even some teens were straight up terrified of William for one reason or another and avoided his mere sight at all costs.
You sighed, trying to brush the thoughts out of your head, you wished you could have just watched this all from your room, but your parents insisted that you stayed outside with them now that you were ‚one of the adults‘.
„Y/n!“ you flinched suddenly realizing your dad was calling out to you, you shifted from the stones you were sitting on as quick as possible as you hurried over to know what he wanted.
„Gosh darling is your hearing okay?“ he shook his head as you tried recovering from your total daze earlier, he sighed, „ugh… would you be so kind and fetch some plates from inside, oh, and some ice pops for the kids?“ he asked.
„Oh uh, yeah sure.“ you replied swiftly, you didn’t mind getting away from the others outside for a little. You quickly walked inside and into the kitchen, leaning over the counter to pull around a recent newspaper, your eyes scanning around the articles for a bit as you slacked down into one of the kitchen island‘s stools and reading trough the texts, losing grasp of what you were even supposed to do.
„Still in here, eh?“ you perked up at the sudden voice in the room, mortified to see William of all standing at the opposite side of the kitchen island, crossing his arms.
Your scrambled up, nearly knocking over the stool you were on with you on it and barely preventing a fall, „Oh uh- Mr. Afton, do you need anything?“ His lips twitched up at your sudden nervousness and loss of composure, „Your fatha‘ told me to go in here to check on you, said‘ he didn’t want you sneaking off to your room.“
You hissed a little, knowing thats the exact type of thing your dad would say, not taking into account if it‘d embarrass you or not. You folded the newspaper back up and quickly pushed past him to go to the kitchen cabinets in which the plates were, almost feeling nervous as his arms barely crossed yours. „Don’t rush, I‘m not gonna blame ya‘ „
You turned back to him raising an eyebrow in confusion, „I‘m not an ‚extrovert‘ myself yknow‘ , Henry‘s usually the one handling the kids down at the diner.“ he leaned against the counter behind him as you pulled out a few plates from the cabinets and set them down, chuckling awkwardly.
You undoubtedly felt embarrassed being completely alone with him, not that it had even happened before anyway. You had no idea what to say, or talk about, but then, one small thing still came to your mind. „So uh, are you building any more of those …robots?“
He chuckled, „oh yeah, plenty, are you interested in that sorta stuff y/n?“ fuck, that was the first time you think you had even heard him say your name at all. „Heh- A little maybe, I was kinda curious I guess.“
„hmhm, well I‘m flattered, you can come down to the diner sometime, I‘d be happy to show you some the endos we use.“ he offered, it did seem sorta interesting… you always kinda wondered how those animatronics looked like without the faux fur covers, although, you weren’t sure if it wouldn’t be equally terrifying.
You turned back to the plates, you weren’t sure how many would be used, so you just got a good stack. You bent down to the cooler, cramming around for any ice pops to keep the children at bay for a while. „So, you got yourself a fit bloke round‘ here?“ you felt yourself a bit startled at the sudden questioning, trying to keep your eyes fixed on the cooler and not up to meet his.
„Eh- no Sir, I‘ve uh.. I‘ve never had a boyfriend before I don’t really like the guys around here.“ you replied, that was actually the truth, most the people your age around here were far from your type, your mom had asked you plenty of times what you thought about Michael, and while he definitely aged better than most around there, you couldn’t see anything like that with him.
„Well, what about the men?“ you nearly choked for a moment, awkwardly laughing as if what he said was just some generic joke, yet you had no real idea what he actually meant by it. You finally scrambled out the ice pops from the freezer, putting them on top of the stacks of plates, „Are ya sure you can carry all that by yourself?“ he asked, you paused, looking at the stack for a moment, but before you could reply he had already pushed himself beside you and picked up half the stack himself.
You smiled awkwardly, „Thank you Mr. Afton…“
You quickly picked up your stack, following him outside as you didn’t want to bother your parents anymore with your reluctance, “there you are y/n, what in the world you took so long?” Your father asked seeing you finally leave the building, you were already prepared for a long lecture and being damned to stand next to him by the grill but to your surprise, before you had to say anything, William answered for you, “Bloody hell Bill give them a rest would you? We were just inside having a chat.”
Your father looked over to William, then to you, before seemingly calming down, “Whatever you say Will…” before you could turn to thank him however, Elizabeth and Charlie were already scrambling to steal the ice pops you had from you. Precious kids.
Quickly after you were done handing out ice pops to the kids, you were urged by your mom to help deck out the table for everyone to eat, while doing so, unwillingly your gaze often wandere back to William, who had taken back the spot at the side of the porch, simply leaning against the wall, on occasion meeting your eyes only to have you scrambling back to deck our plates with napkins to which you swore you could hear him chuckle in the distance, his mere presence was seriously starting to kill you.
After everyone sat down to eat, of course he had to be sat right next to you, and sure maybe the bench you sat on was a little cramped since elizabeth wanted to sit right next to her father, but surely not so cramped that his shoulder had to be constantly pressing against yours right..?
“So y/n, are you still on the lookout for a job? Like I said I’d always offer you a place down at the diner.” Henry mentioned, “Ah no worries, I’m still trying to manage my work from home since its the easiest at the moment.” You replied, your form stiffening even more when William turned his head to you.
It probably didn’t look weird to the others, but for you he was starting to be so close you felt his breath on your neck, his eyes always threatening to meet yours should you just risk the tiniest glance over at him.
“Thats a shame, I’m sure you’d look fantastic in one of our work uniforms.” The comment made most adults at the table chuckle, even Henry, but for you, it split your mind, you felt your emotions make you dizzy
Before he could say anything else, as if your hand moved on its own, you ‘accidentally’ knocked over your glass of lemonade, spilling it all over your top and shorts.
“Oh- Y/n are you okay??” Charlotte peeked up from her side of the table, you quickly stood up, “Oh yeah- please excuse me I’ll go change in my room!” And before your parents or anyone else could say something you rushed back inside and upstairs, sliding down your door as soon as you slammed it shut.
Fuck
You had absolutely no idea what had just happened to your mind, it was like the pinnacle of tension in your body, not even neccecarily awkwardness but something else. You slowly got back up and took a deep breath before taking off your now very sticky shirt and shorts, ‘ am I letting myself get so tense just because of that man? What is wrong with me??’
You crammed out a new pair of shorts and a tshirt, god previously you didn’t even talk to William and now after so little interaction you were letting him get to you so much? For gods sake he was your dads friend and probably old enough to be your father too, this… this wasn’t becoming more than a silly crush right?
You grabbed a pillow from your bed and hit it atop your own head, trying to quite literally bonk yourself, by now, the sun had gone down, and surely it was time for everyone to leave anyways, you could surely go downstairs now right? Sure your dad would be pissed for you not saying goodbye to your guests, but you’d just have to deal with that.
You slowly made your way back down, it was awfully quiet, ‘huh… maybe they left already?’ It would have been much to your gratitude.
‘Huh… seems like it’ the front porch was empty, only the grills coal slowly burning out, you breathed a sigh of relief slowly backing away to lean against your kitchen island in victory, but ran into something else halfway, immediately flinching back.
Great. Just your fucking luck.
“AH- Mr- Mr. Afton, Im so sorry I thought you and your family were already gone-“ you stuttered, trying to hold composure even though you had just blatantly walked right into his chest, but he once again, merely chuckled.
“Its all right luv, I just wanted to say goodbye to ya, its not even me and you see each other aight?” You felt your face heat up, now it wasn’t just tension, it was straight up making you blush, was he meaning to do this????
“Oh of course- have a good night Mr. Afton, I- I’ll say hello next time in down at the diner!”
“Just visit me in my office, I’d be happy to have you around.” He grinned, one last time, before turning away from you, “Liz, Evan, Michael! Get over here we are going home.
You stood in the kitchen for another few moments, dumbfounded, red and confused.
This was, definitely becoming more than a silly crush.

It’s Christmas so it’s time for the 2023 year in review. This is going to be a rollercoaster so strap in.
We kicked off 2023 with a trail ride down to our neighbour’s place to ride on her lovely arena, and needless to say Sky took it all in her stride, though she was a little wide eyed when she met their many, many, many blood hounds. It was, however, extremely hot, and we both came home drenched in sweat and ready for a shower.
We had, of course, been preparing for our Novice debut for nearly 12 months now so we were also starting to work with a bit of elementary stuff, working slowly on our laterals and developing our walk to canters. January at work was deeply miserable, as my excellent manager had left and I was left in a job I hated, surrounded by people I didn’t like, plus I wasn’t allowed to work from home which made riding a bit miserable. Still, we plugged along through January.
I once more rode at the MARC Unofficial comp and did another two Unofficial Novice tests, with one scoring 73%! Unofficial scores are never a good indication of where you are realistically, but it’s always nice to see that score starting with a 7. Then, finally, FINALLY at the end of January, we competed in our FIRST Official Novice test at Bowral Dressage Club, more than 8 months later than intended. We had one more error (broke to canter in the lengthen trot) but otherwise put in two very solid tests and scored 64% for both, and placed 2nd and 4rd. Not bad for our first official comp! It seemed the curse was finally broken!
In February, it was off to South Australia to see Mum and Dad, during which time I went on a hot and rather random trail ride on a standardbred out the back of some random lady’s paddock, enjoyed some beach time, and went for a lot of dog walks. We did get excellent weather for  change which was nice!
The end of summer brought a boon of blackberries, since our property at Gunning is rank with them and even as annoying as having a property full of noxious weeds is, at least these ones have berries.
We also started preparing for our Novice Freestyle, which was supposed to be debuted at the Festival last year, but never got finished due to the broken hand. This meant a few trips out to a local arena to get the timing right, which we also used to start to develop our elementary work a bit more.
In March it was off to Melbourne to meet my delightful cousin and her new hubby, back from London to visit the family, and Mum and I had an excellent time exploring some museums while we were there.
We had another solid official Novice at ACTDA in March, with 64% and 65%, keeping our scores fairly consistent. We probably could have done better but Sky decided to do a choose your own adventure test so was anticipating pretty badly. In March we also tried our hand at hacking, and did excellently, though it was revoltingly hot, and landed Champion Led Pinto and Reserve Champion Led Warmblood, and picked up a ribbon in almost all our classes.
April rolled around, and with it, Dressage in the Bush. We camped out at Bendick Murrell Showgrounds, and competed in the AOR Novice Championship and the Novice Freestyle. Our Freestyle went well and we won (after a bit of a snafu with the scores) and we placed 3rd and 6th in the Championship, only JUST missing out on Reserve Champion due to an error of course in our first test. But Sky was absolutely exemplary the whole time and I was SO proud of how well we went.
We also won a lesson with the amazing Susan Elekessy, who has become our eyes on the ground, helping us pick up little things that Peter can’t see through the Pivo. She was very complimentary towards Sky, as well, which is always nice.
After the excitement of Dressage in the Bush, a certain SOMEONE (looking at you Lexi) conned me into entering Elementary at the HDC Festival. I figured it would be a good opportunity to see how we would go, how solid our Elem work was. Afterall, we had most of the main movements alright, though our travers was less good. Due to a wedding, I wasn’t able to compete AOR, so I found myself riding my first ever elementary tests in an OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. No pressure, right? And yet somehow my magical unicorn Sky managed to not only not embarrass us, but to PLACE 6th in the 3.2 with 65%, which ALSO qualified us for States. Insane! We also got 2nd in the Novice Freestyle. Unfortunately the big week and competing elementary meant that by the time we got to our Novice championship, Sky was exhausted, so while we put in decent tests we didn’t manage to place against the Open horses. Still, it was amazing to finally make it to the Festival that I worked so hard to help organise, to actually be able to ride with my amazing friends.
Post Festival, I finally started a new job at ANU, transferring from the Digital Literacy team back into the Library, taking on the role of Information Access and Training Officer, which was a HUGE step in improving my attitude towards work. I love my new manager and my new team, and I’m having so much fun being back as a librarian.
Peer Pressure struck once again, and I found myself entered at States in both Novice and Elementary. With not a lot of time between the Festival and States, I trekked out to Wagga to try and get one more ride at Elementary in before States. We did the 2.3 and the 3.3. We had some hefty mistakes in the 3.3 and ended with 62.8%. Even better, we cracked 70% at Novice for the first time in an Official test which is an excellent benchmark!
Before States I went back to South Australia to surprise Dad for his birthday. Little did I know, it would be the last time I saw him outside of hospital.
Then it was States again. On paper, it wasn’t the most successful Championship we’ve been to. We scored 57% in the 3.3 which was one of our worst ever scores, and 61% in the 3.2, which put us mid field in both tests, which considering these were our 6th and 7th ever Elem tests I was still pretty pleased with, however it did show that Sky was getting a bit scrambled about the simple changes. Then in the novice, again, she was tired, scoring 63% and 64% in the two tests with some silly mistakes. So no ribbons, but the fact that we were even competing at States in at two levels when before Sky the thought of competing at states AT ALL was far out of reach, so I’m still proud to have been there, and we were mid-field in all our tests so definitely not at the bottom!
We took some time off competing while we addressed the issues that had arisen in rushing our Elem start, namely that for a while we were entirely unable to trot, and could ONLY do walk to canters and canter walks. It was a whole thing. So we stepped it back to Novice while we addressed that.
In September, my dad unexpectedly went into hospital with severe pneumonia, among other things. I rushed down to Royal Adelaide hospital to be with him, and stayed for a week as he slowly recovered. He seemed to be getting better, so I came home. I competed at ACTDA in Novice, in a howling gale. Her tests were tense, but obedient, and we got 63% and 64% (at least we’re consistent).
Then, a week later, Dad passed away in the ICU at Royal Adelaide Hospital. It has been the most devastating thing that has ever happened to me.
I came home and tried to pick up my life again.
In November, my bestest for the restest and I decided to start a Podcast, revisiting our terrible writing from when we were teens, in an effort to try and create some sort of platform since apparently that’s what you have to do to publish a book these days.
Finally, it was time for the Canberra Classic. The big local championship that I missed last year due to Sky’s endless seedy toe. I was tough, being the first time I’d competed since Dad died. He was always so invested in my competitions. It was hot, and windy, but Sky put in two lovely tests. We got slammed in the first with 62% for having her poll too low, but scored 69% in the second test to place 5th AOR. If we’d competed Open we’d have been second! Still, I can’t complain about a 69% so was extremely happy, and we got to take home a shiny ribbon.
On the 18th of November we said goodbye to Dad with a wake at one of his old haunts in Balmain, spreading his ashes off Darling Street wharf. I was reminded how truly beautiful the friendships I’ve made are with the support of my amazing pals. I wish they could have met him.
Sky and I came 4th in the AOR Novice Horse of the Year rankings, and I was awarded a Bronze performance medal at ACTDA.
And so we have rolled onto the end of the year, starting to reintroduce our elementary work, getting stronger and ready to start competing at Elementary next year.
Then, approximately 10 minutes before leaving to fly to SA again, I bought a new towing car, a 2010 Mitsubishi Pajero. Hopefully it’s excellent, and I can pass my trusty Prado on to a new owner!
This Christmas is a little bit sadder. A little bit emptier. There were no power tools under the tree this year. Less beers in the fridge. The weather is crap and somehow appropriate. I wish you were here, Dad. Merry Christmas.

i’ve got a bit of a personal issue that i need advice on, i’ve spoke to my boyfriend about it obviously but i just need other people’s opinion…
so my family went no contact with us when i was young, my mums whole family havent spoken to me since she died almost 15 years ago (we hate them) and my dads brother who was like another father to me (who this situation involves).
my uncle moved to spain almost 10 years ago and i havent spoken to him since, ive spoken to my little cousin (you remember the footballer one?) but not as much as id like to. myself and my uncle were so close to the point i was at his house every day as a kid, right up until he moved. our last proper conversation apart from the odd happy birthday or merry Christmas was about him coming to visit me whenever he comes back to england. now it’s important to know that him and my dad have never had the best relationship, it’s really toxic to the point if he turned up at my house now, my dad would flatten him. now over the past few months, since i was in spain for that work trip (i was literally staying in the same city that he lives!), i’ve been wanting to reach out and try to rebuild that bond i had with him yet im hesitant because he didn’t keep his promise to see me, and i haven’t seen or spoken to him since the day before he moved.
i guess i’m just scared that it’s not going to go down well with my family because he comes to england and only visits his dad, not even my nanna who is the purest human in the world. it’s also important to note that his biological dad abandoned him and my dad when they were really young, and my dad has no relationship with him (there’s a connection there to the monster my sister dated too but that’s where things get really messed up!).
i’ll be honest, i’m fucking terrified that if i contact him and start to rebuild the bond we had when i was a kid, my family would start to stop speaking to me (it’s not beyond them, trust me). i’m just in a predicament because i want to do this but i don’t want to make anyone upset or uncomfortable, i just don’t want to risk them hating me for it 🥲
i know my family sounds complicated and messed up, imagine how it is for me trying to wrap my head around it. i can’t complain too much because so many people have it worse than me 🫶🏼
sorry for the little personal dump, i just need some advice that isn’t my boyfriends “i’ll punch him” 😂

Summary: Cinder getting anxious over meeting Torin and his family over a lunch date, Kai being the unhelping but cute partner like always.
Ship: Kaider
Words: 1k
Genre: Fluff (mostly?)
A/N: Suho is an OC, here Torin's husband.
Cinder's Perspective:
"I can see the worry lines on your face," he jested.
"Cause I'm tremendously worried," she replied, no attempt to hide her said worry lines.
"Chill-," he muttered and before he could continue, she had turned around in her seat and glared at him promptly asking him to shut up which he effectively did.
"You have seen him so many times and not to mention you know Torin. I don't even know what you are worried about," he pointed out.
"Easy for you to say, I don't want them to hate me."
"Cinder, c'mon you are worried over a possibility that is as impossible as you being a queen again."
"I don't want to talk to you," she fumed and launched herself into the pile at her desk. Her willpower didn't maintain the charade for a long time as she voiced herself again.
"It feels like I'm meeting your parents and I have multiple expectations to fulfil," she explained.
"Cinder you met them multiple times."
"But never as your fiancee and never on a lunch date invitation."
"I don't see how it changes anything."
"Imagine you had to see my mum and seek her approval for marriage."
"I think the comparison of Torin's family to your mother is a little cruel, Cin. No offence but I think Torin will take offence there."
"Kai," she chided "I'm saying imagine."
"Well, my creative mind says that I would be more scared for my life rather than seeking a good rating from your mother."
Her mother, Queen Channary wasn't a just ruler nor was she much benevolent in person, Cinder had to admit comparing her mother to Torin was an inept scale.
"Still, you would be nervous about meeting my mother and I'm nervous about meeting your family too."
"Cinder, you're hyperventilating. It's better if you calm down, crack puns that make only Lili laugh, laugh at all of Torin's stories and speak nice about the food that's cooked and you shall get good acceptance."
"Not funny Kai."
"You don't even take criticism. All my advice is wasted on deaf ear," he grinned, mockingly shedding tears of irony.
She thought to herself for a while, scrolling through her feed to apprehend how she could be a polite guest. Honestly, she was extremely worried. She had Torin and Suho to impress, their daughters were already impressed by her so that was one point. Torin was still hostile towards her when she spoke against Kai's ideas but he had grown on her.
The real deal however was Suho- he adored Kai and Kai looked up to him far more than Torin in comparison. She couldn't deny how Kai had practically been raised in their household only to stop spending so much time when his lessons increased after his mother's death. She couldn't overstep their made-up family by just bombarding on their peace.
"Shall we buy them something?" she asked.
"That is a fine idea but keep it minimalistic. Suho doesn't like grand gestures of wealth and Torin doesn't like what Suho doesn't like."
There he goes making her feel like the outsider she thinks she is.
"Just flowers?"
"You could do better Cinder, we are the royalty."
"You said no wealth."
"But some wealth is okay."
"Says the Emperor who owns the state treasury."
"It's the state's treasury"
"You said minimalistic."
"I didn't say flowers either."
"Flowers are minimalistic."
"I mean not that minimalistic."
"Then you tell me what we should gift?"
"Maybe a painting," he suggested.
"Who is being minimalistic right now?"
"A painting isn't expensive," he said in his defence.
"Says the Emperor."
"We will buy an inexpensive one then."
"But it shouldn't look like we bought gifts 'cause we had to."
"Holograph photobook?"
"I think it is too elaborate. You could do that the next time you visit."
"What if there's no next time since they don't like me enough the first time?"
"Well you are going to be there, you are going to be wife. I refuse to not take my wife everywhere with me."
"You know if cybernetics would fail me right now, I would be blushing."
"Oh, thank you for the appreciation, my lovely fiancee." He said, a cheeky smile hiding the pale hue of pink on his flushed cheeks. She chuckled, Kai was very charming with the least of effort.
"Can't you give me some better insight than Suho Liking minimalistic things?"
"I don't know- I have never gifted him anything and they didn't gift me anything. I was the next in line, there is very little that a crown prince might not have and be gifted," He mentioned with little cheer in his voice, a gloom rather evident.
She might have consoled him but some things were better undiscussed than talked over with impending concern.
She understood his lack of gifting- Cinder herself was too poor to gift someone and too worthless to be gifted anything, Kai on the other hand was very rich to be gifted anything he couldn't have.
"Still, I want him to like me like he adores you."
"He doesn't adore me", he retorted laughing.
"He does and you absolutely love it."
"Well what can I say, everyone loves a decent fellow!"
"Oh, decent fellow would you enlighten us about all the magic you cast on your loved ones?"
"You should tell me the answer for that one darling."
Kai really might make her blush someday if machines could malfunction.
The knock on the door saved her from answering something witty enough.
"Your Majesty-"
"No need for formalities, Torin. No one here but for Cinder." He reminded Torin for the umpteenth time.
Before she could think over the idea she blurted, "I'd some favours from you, Torin. Before you announce the work you have brought, can I just ask a few questions?"
Kai eyed her sidewards, while Torin did little to hide his surprise.
"Yes Cinder-Daren, you may."
Kai shook his head, knowing exactly what she was about to do, "Take a seat, Torin, something tells me this might be a long afternoon and hand over the file, Id make the changes while you two go on."
__
A/N: All done for today, quite short but had it in my drafts for years now. Also not me trying to bring Torin in every fic I write ;)
Besides finally writing my something outside of angst, so leave some kudos!

Rambling abt the half dream half nightmare that woke me up today below the cut. feel free to ignore, just need to vent it out somewhere. Probably going to include me talking abt Current Family Issues and Feelings so. yeah. TW for mentions of someone in hospital, death, religion, and overall family dysfunction lmao
I know that ultimately, right now, if something big and/or terrible happened medically to anyone in my family back in ND, I wouldn't be able to go see them. The money just isn't there (part of why I'm not going out there this summer nor are they coming out here at all.) I've accepted it, and I try not to think abt it.
That said, LOVE (read: HATE) my brain deciding a hyper realistic yet weird dream abt my mum winding up in hospital is the way to go this morning. Complete with:
-her bf refusing to speak to me abt it, and telling me not to bother going to visit her in the weird, somehow existing in both CT and ND simultaneously, hospital with a 'haven't you already been enough of a burden to her?'
-me staying in my grandparent's old house in ND, and for some reason that meant being wildly unable to get ready to go to the hospital. Finding my clothes was nearly impossible, but. all their old decorations were back up on the wall so even as I was searching for them I like. Didn't want to leave? As if the house would revert back to being sold like it has been irl, if i left it. Finally I wound up just stealing clothes from my grandfather's side of their closet (specifically his old 80s styled 'eagle on a tree branch' print sweater that he got forced to toss a few years ago bc it was becoming more holes than sweater, and one of his old, big leather jackets. somehow i found jeans that fit me, idk how considering i can't seem to do that irl rn but i digress)
-me showing up to the hospital FINALLY only for Noel Fielding?? to be sitting outside it with a friend dressed in what i can only describe as absolutely gorgeous future techno witch clothing. Unfortunately they were fucking dicks in this dream and scared the shit out of me by joking that 'it was so nice I'd shown up still despite the worst' and implying my mum had already passed. Noel did shout apologies as i stomped off inside and that as far as he knew she was still okay, but his friend is the one who handed me a wrapped in plastic, small, metal stool with a weird cartoon face on the seat so i could 'sit with her body, like sitting shiva, right?' (not like that at all to my knowledge, but then again my family has rarely to never fully followed any of the various religious rituals around death, we just. take the bits the dead person liked from them and ignore the rest, for better or for worse. Maybe that's just what happens when a family is a mishmash of various christian sorts from Catholic to Protestant with the hidden knowledge that actually, prior to ppl moving to the States, ppl in the family were Jewish but inter-marrying into Catholic families for safety-sake, and so any Jewish traditions used now are done wrongly and weirdly and in odd bits and pieces. At least that's as much as I've been told/have found out abt it, anyway)
-I proceed into this stupidly fancy and open concept hospital, to immediately find a hugr crowd mucking up the elevators (crowding the elevator bank and refusing to let others on.) That's where Con showed up, and helped me make it up the ridiculously wide, roundish staircases (think like. wide rounded stage steps, but for each level of this hospital), while also trying soothe me by telling me Housemate was already here and waiting for me, so were my grandparents and even Mum's bf (he promised to keep him away from me lol, it was v sweet in an otherwise filled with anxiety dream.)
-however, as we were struggling up the steps (also full of crowds, pushing each other around, so we literally had to hold hands and hold onto the railings and walls to avoid being shoved down the stairs), he kept hesitating on saying more abt mum. He tried to distract me by mentioning that, since I was here, the docs might want me to address some of my own health issues but that he wouldn't let them force me into any treatment i didn't want. Then he finally alluded to mum being in worse straits than I'd been told abt and said something to the effect of 'doing only what you can, not what she or others would expect of you' and 'not to set yourself on fire to keep someone else alive' plus admitting he was deeply worried my family was abt to force me into a big decision that absolutely wasn't the ONLY treatment option that would help mum, but it was implied to be the one mum's bf and my grandparents were pushing for.
-still dunno exactly what that option was, but just before i woke up i started hearing the latter part of the song Gethsemane from JCS (Housemate and I have been watching various versions irl this weekend lol), specifically the bit where Jesus dares/begs/etc God to see how he dies. This was accompanied by me finally reaching my mum's hospital room, and a stupid bright light emanating from it and like. Not to critique my own brain and the dream it created, but that was far too on the nose for me personally lmao.
-and I woke up thinking abt the call with my grandparents that I had on Thursday (didn't go super poorly but went. kind of weird and uncomfortable and confirmed again that like. they're happy for me being out here in CT, yet at the same time hold it and my happiness against me to some unconscious degree as originally outright confirmed by Mum in an earlier call her and I had like. Tail end of last year lmao. the main crux seeming to be 'why couldn't i find happiness in ND/what's wrong with all of them/why wasn't i willing to keep trying to make my life work in ND regardless of my happiness/don't i know how hard it is without my being there to help everyone whenever they ask/etc family bullshit')
And now I'm laying here thinking. If the Worst would happen for any of them, they would fully expect me to empty my bank accounts and do whatever else i had to, to get to ND not just to see them, but to help. to take care of as much as possible for them (mum and grandma get decision paralysed by sad/scary life events, my aunt is so uncomfortable with sickness and death she won't do hospital visits or funerals at all anymore for anyone, my cousins...are young enough they won't know how to handle it/won't want to, my grandpa tends to just shut down and isolate when things go to shit, and that's not to say that they all don't still get done things that need doing in these situations, but that they DO all usually need prodding and help and have leaned on me for that since i was a kid.)
And i would of course want to see them/help however i could, but. not to that extent. not to the point that I'd have nothing for myself, no money or help (bc they're not in a position to return that help or money to me, and they'd be so emotional as to likely be extremely offended and upset if i mentioned needing help myself.)
That said, I'm sick of silently daring them to watch me die just for their sakes, even tho i do still love them all dearly. and of course, that's entirely too dramatic but at the same time, Mum and I have had convos abt 'what if there's a shooting somewhere that we're at, how do we handle it, how are we attempting to protect each other' and Mum always says she would take a bullet for me, but she didn't protest when i say that I'd take one for her or anyone else in the family first. Last time she just nodded like. yeah. of course you would. so. Feelings, abt all of this.
If u actually read this full thing that was A. very sweet of u and i appreciate that u care abt my silly lil fucked up brain enough to do that (genuinely, I'm v grateful) and b. here is a pic of Nisha as what little compensation i can give for u reading this long ass ramble lol

"Yes they are. They're gonna be a little later. How is Y/n?" Nikki asks smiling.
"She's good she's visiting family right now so I haven't talk to her yet. I hate the time differences." He says leaning back on the couch. "Mom I love her. She's just amazing, mum. She's kind, she's funny, she's so beautiful. She's an amazing mum too! I love her sons too, they're so much like her! Flynn he read to me! He's not even in first grade yet he's so smart, and Felix he is great at drawing! He drew spiderman and it was so good! I have a photo of it on my phone" Nikki has an amused smile on her face as she listens to him. She can't wait to meet you or the twins.
"You really love them don't you?"
"Yeah. How'd you know?" He laughs.
"Your eyes lit up when I asked about her. You're also bragging about those boys, it's sweet. I can't wait to meet them they must be very special."
"They are mum. I've never felt this way before about a woman. I think she's the one." He looks at her with a giddy grin.
"Im happy for you dear, I can't wait to meet her. And her sons, I've always wanted grandkids. You've been taking a while too." Nikki chuckles
"You have four kids Im not the only one who can give you grandkids."
"You are the oldest though you've had the most time."
"Yeah."
"But seriously when will I get to meet them." She smiles.
"I don't know I want to fly them here maybe as a Christmas gift but she still wants to keep me separate from the twins so maybe next summer if I don't have any projects."
"Okay, me and your dad really are happy for you."
"Thank you mum." He smiles looking down at his phone when he heard it ding. It was you, you sent him a photo of the twins and Amelia at brunch. He replies before showing the photo to his mom. "This one is Flynn you can tell cause his eyebrows are thicker than Felix's and Felix has bigger ears. The little girl is their sister, Amelia."
"Awe." She smiles looking at the photo. "They're so precious."
———
You were finally home. You sat the bags on the floor as the boys ran past you to the backyard. You sigh and go to the couch flopping down on it. You look towards the window the boys are playing on their playset. You pull your phone out texting your dad letting him know you got home safely before doing the same to Tom. Tom responds almost immediately says that's good. It's about 7pm here so it's about midnight there in London. You're not surprised hes aware hes been staying up late to talk to you since you became official. He calls you right as you start writing a response.
"How was the flight? Were the boys better this time?"
"It was alright, yeah they were great this time. Luckily this time we didn't wake up early and we got dinner right before the flight so they weren't cranky."
"That's good."
"How was dinner with your parents?" You ask looking out the window.
"Good."
"That's good." You say.
"Where's the boys?"
"The backyard playing. I don't know how but they have so much energy." You say taking a deep breath.
"Is it dark over there yet?"
"No they have maybe an hour or so." You says standing up and going to the back door. You could barely see them through the window of their playset.
"So you have time to talk!" Tom says you can't see it but he's grinning.
"Isn't it late for you? You should get to bed."
"No I wanted to talk to you about something actually." He says, "so you know how I told you I'm going to take a break from taking roles for a little while? Well I was thinking maybe I could get an apartment close to you. I've been thinking about applying for duel citizen ship anyway with how much I'm in America anyway."
"Really? You want to move out here?" You whispers looking outside to make sure the twins weren't listening.
"Yeah. It probably won't be till after Christmas though. But I do still want to come down for the boy's birthday."
Tumblr media
"It would be nice having you close. And my dad will be back and able to babysit by then." You mention absentmindedly. "I'd like it but it's up to you."
"Okay."
"Uh I should go I need to get the boys asleep but I can call you back after?" You say.
"Yeah sure. Bye darling."
"Bye."

i know my uncles have their reasons for distancing themselves from their parents. valid reasons. but leaving my mum, eldest daughter, firstborn, to shoulder every bit of expense and labor for their parents, for their mother, over the last 25 years is insane. they are entirely spineless and selfish and cowardly. tw: abuse / domestic violence mention
my mum's probably paid four years of ivy league tuition to keep them alive. and as of yesterday they're both dead. both my maternal grandparents. these men couldn't find a shred of compassion for their mother because she didn't "just leave" her abusive relationship when they were kids. be mad at your dad and fuck i guess even be mad at your mom but she lived in fear for her life for so long. she genuinely believed she had to stay or you'd all be killed by him. it was a credible threat. she stayed to try to keep you alive, and you blame her for this.
and the eldest daughter, the one who got it second worst next to your mom, you let her pay for everything and take care of everything and suffer it all over again. not a penny towards her end of life care. not a visit or even signing her birthday card. just signing it. couldn't be bothered. five 3d printers and new bike parts all the time, a hundred rolls of filament - can't just cut a check, even. you hate your mom for being abused and in turn "letting" it happen to you, okay. i get it, you're mad she didn't make the "easy, clear" (impossible, DEADLY) choice to leave, you hate her for that. you hate your sister? the one who did everything for you? it seems like you must because you couldn't even do anything for your mom just to make it easier on your sister. too annoying, too inconvenient. too emotionally taxing to sign a birthday card.
good god, grow the fuck UP. i was kinder to my mum when i was fourteen and actively dying of sepsis. i could barely see because my body temperature was literally cooking my brain and i was still nicer to her than you've ever been in your entire adult life.
and now grandma's dead and you didn't go see her, didn't speak to her, the last thing you said to her was "stop annoying me about calendar alerts" before you went to facebook to bitch about how technologically illiterate your DEMENTIA RIDDEN MOTHER was. and when you were rightfully called on it, you proceeded to act like even more of a bitch.
you can't see anything those women have done for you all your life, you only see what they didn't do. you only see how they failed you. you don't understand anything about what either of them put up with just to give you the chance to get out of there. and you did get out, and fucked up your life of your own accord, and now you're bitter they didn't make it better for you. you've never tried, actually tried, to make it better for them.
maybe this entire family is going to hell for our collective sins against each other and maybe that would serve us all right!

New Goth Household: Chapter 2, Part 6
Part of what I love about rotational play is my sims being able to visit family that I'm not having to control. Keira is close with her family, Joey's sister Devin is one of his best friends and with Alexander's parents gone he has to make new family. Since I couldn't keep to my normal limit I decided to throw caution to the wind and let families catch up.
Tumblr media
Keira: How was your shift
Marta: People always need coffee, how was class
Keira: So so. Are you ready for a challenge
Marta: What kind of challenge
Keira: Mum text me to come visit and I thought you might like to come
Marta: To meet your parents
Keira: Parents, siblings, sister-in-law
Marta: Why not
Tumblr media
Sulani, the place where autumn and winter are relative.
Keira: Anyone home? I brought cookies
Carson: Cookies?
Reece: They smell good
Kayleigh: Are you going to introduce us to this wonderful lady you've brought with you
Marta: Gracias
Keira: Right well... Mum, dad, everyone... This is Marta, my girlfriend
Tumblr media
Kayleigh: How long have you been seeing each other
Keira: I wasn't keeping her secret or anything, I've just been busy with university
Kayleigh: Remember, university is not the most important thing you can do in life
Keira: I know mum, I know
Marta: I asked her to be my girlfriend recently
Tumblr media
Harvey: A woman who takes the initiative, we can always use more of those
Keira: But we actually met back when I started university, or close to that
Marta: Just before your first exams
Keira: So it's not as if we've just met
Reece: Why would we care if you just met
Keira: We're actually living together
Tumblr media
Charlie: No kidding. Congratulations Marta, you landed a good one with my sister
Reece: Some sims have all the luck
Marta: You would not want a girl though, no
Reece: Not in a million years, gay as a maypole here
Marta: What is a maypole
Reece: I actually have no idea
Charlie: Some genius you are
Tumblr media
Marta: I am lucky, Keira is romantic
Carson: Gross
Harvey: One day you may not think romance is gross
Carson: Never
Kaori: So what keeps you busy Marta
Marta: I'm a barista
Kaori: Serving coffee all day? Sounds like tough work. Customers can be such a pain
Reece: Plus memorising all those orders
Tumblr media
Marta: You're not disappointed in my job
Kaori: I don't even have a job so you're already ahead of me
Harvey: We tried to teach our kids that there are many options in life
Kayleigh: University is just one path, not everybody travels it
Harvey: Finding things that make you happy, that's important
Tumblr media
Charlie: How about your parents
Marta: They have both passed to the forever save
Kayleigh: You're so young for that loss, I'm sorry
Harvey: Please visit whenever you need substitute parent hugs or advice
Marta: Gracias
Keira is delighted at how well things go, no one hates the cookies either.
Tumblr media
Before long however the sun is setting and it's time to head back home.
Harvey: Good to see you kiddo
Keira: And you dad
Harvey: That Marta is a keeper
Keira: She's pretty great
Harvey: Just remember you're only 21, it's fine to take your time with things
Keira: I know dad, I love you loads
Tumblr media
Keira: I don't think that could have gone better
Marta: Si. Your family is so friendly
Keira: We're all very close. Thank you for coming with me
Marta: Sulani reminds me of the beaches back in Cuba
Keira: Really
Marta: We weren't there long but I have good memories. Now I get to make more with you
Tumblr media
Joey has been working hard on his mobile app so his sister Devin wanted to treat him to dinner. Joey is also creeped out at Caleb vampire running to the table. Come on dude, humans cannot keep up. Joining them is Devin's wife Luna and both of Joey's parents, Calista and Aaron.
Tumblr media
Aaron: Most of this looks pretty adventurous
Joey: Watcher can't be bothered sorting out another in game restaurant right now
Calista: Sure son
Luna: OMW they have pasta
Devin: Lu I make you pasta all the time
Luna: But this one comes with a boatload of sauce
Calista: You are eating for three
Tumblr media
Devin: Hi, could I please have a simsmapolitan. Just water for my wife, she's pregnant
Luna: Like she couldn't tell from looking at me
Devin: And I'm paying for everyone so we'll just need the one cheque at the end
Joey: Are you sure?
Devin: You may dream of being a tech guru but you're not there yet
Tumblr media
Joey: Any updates on the Goth case pa
Aaron: I really should keep that between me and my clients
Joey: You know whatever you tell Alexander he's just going to tell me anyway
Devin: He's right
Aaron: We got the footage of Milton walking unattended up the drive to the courts, but a judge has to review
Tumblr media
Joey: Do you think they'll be able to get Milton back
Aaron: I think so, the finances will take longer
Joey: Sis did you hear Dina called Alexander a golddigger
Devin: OMW she did not! What a hypocrite
Joey: Right! She's so ridiculous
Devin: What about Alexander's half siblings
Joey: Yeah, they exist
Tumblr media
Devin: But will- Oh! Our food
Aaron: How do you suppose I'm meant to eat this
Joey: With your mouth
Aaron: Well thank you Joey
Luna: I cannot wait to dig into this
Callista: It looks nice but Yorks do pasta best
Luna: I'll let you know when I'm finished
Callista: Fill up those bambinos
Luna: Yes Ma'am
Tumblr media
Devin: Seriously, they're Alexanders half siblings though, he must have some opinion
Joey: He's pretty focused on Milton
Calista: They tie Dina into his family forever
Luna: Calling the boy after his dead father, ghoulish
Devin: Seems nice to me
Luna: Because you're a cheerful sim schatz
Tumblr media
Luna: Eve is a nice enough name for the girl but- oh dear
Devin: You okay Lu
Luna: Just some nausea it'll pass
Calista: I told you, those bambinos prefer York pasta
Aaron: Italians do it better
Joey: I've been told that
Calista: *laughs*
Aaron: Watcher save us from bro humour
Joey: Sorry pa, I'll keep my manners
Tumblr media
Devin: This food really isn't too bad
Joey: I'm guessing you don't have the refined palate quirk yet
Devin: Wait- no I do
Joey: So how can you eat normal quality food without being sick
Devin: You should see some of what is on offer on set, the vegetables barely remember they're vegetables
Joey: Glamour of acting
Tumblr media
Devin: I'm not sure how much time I'll get on set when the boys arrive though, I want to support Luna
Luna: Aww *blows kiss*
Devin: *grins*
Aaron: Remember if you need help we're just a phone call away
Joey: And me. I'm almost finished my degree so I can lend a hand
Luna: You're welcome anytime Joey
Tumblr media
Joey: I'll be the cool uncle
Devin: Seriously though. When you've finished studying, if you need a place we have a spare room
Joey: You sure
Luna: We know how hard it is to establish yourself in Del Sol Valley
Devin: If you want to move in, just ask
The meal ends and goodbyes begin.
Tumblr media
Joey: Bye you two, don't beat each other up too much in there
Calista: Luna seems to be coping well
Devin: I know she feels like a beached whale
Calista: Your bambinos will be here before you know it
Devin: I'm still worried about juggling twins
Calista: Remember help is a phone call away
Tumblr media
James: Shall I compare thee to a summers day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate
Alexander: Aw sweets. You don't have to read me poetry to impress me
James: I know love but it makes you smile, and I love to see you smile
Alexander: I can't believe the wedding is tomorrow, it feels like-
Tumblr media
Alexander: -we've been waiting forever
James: I know I've waited my whole life for you
Alexander: Aww sweets-
James: I mean it. You're the high point of my life
Alexander: Promise you'll stick around
James: I'll dodge the reaper as long as I can love
Alexander: Until then, be with me
James: Every night

In The Beginning Women Was The Sun
Ever since I was a child I never once truly smiled.
I never got to be raised like a normal kid with a loving family, no, the universe hated me I hated me. I guess some part of myself still does, but I could never hate nor blame them. It wasn’t our fault we’re different, but people move on, I moved on,most died sadly sadly, I miss them and I hope they miss me-
“KEIKO IM GOING!!” My brother was hanging out with his friend Akkun, he acts weird a lot, his personality kinda switches, like he’s a new person, but I don’t ask, he’ll tell me when he’s ready.
I walked downstairs. “Bye, have fun” and walked off into the kitchen hearing the door close behind him.
“Alone again huh? Maybe I’ll finish that painting today” I make myself a hot chocolate and go out to the little garden shed where I do my art.
———————
The house phone was ringing, I could hear it even from all the way out here.
“Hello, yes this is she, yes I do, thank you yes I’ll be on my way now thank you.” That idiot landing himself in the hospital. I grabbed my bag and went out the door riding off on my bike. Passing the cars and all the buildings was rather calming, I like to think I’m calm right now but the way my hands were gripping the handles or how much faster I was riding the bike then I normally do said otherwise. The car park was busy, mostly filled up but there was a spot near the door for me.
“Hello” I approached the lady at the desk. “I’m here to visit my brother Hanagaki Takemitchi”.
“Hmmm, room D3 love.” She smiled
“Thank you” I turned to walk away.
“Hi, what room is hanagaki takemitchi in?” A soft voice I recognised asked.
“Hina hey,you can come with me.” I waved at her.
“Ah! Keiko, it’s been a while how are you?” She asked.
“I’m going good, you?”
“I’m great, I haven’t seen you much anymore, you stopped joining me and takemitchi on out walks to school, and our study sessions every Thursday night.” She remarked.
“Sorry, mum got me a new therapist so the sessions had to change” I looked down, eye contact made me nervous.
“Oh! What happened to the old one?” She asked, she knew I didn’t like direct eye contact so she was fine with me looking at the floor.
“She died.” I left it simple, I didn’t know much other then what the news said, all I got told was that she died due to gang violence, she’s lucky it was only a gang.
“Oh..that’s sad” yes it is, she had a life ahead of her, I liked her, but I didn’t know her.
“We weren’t that close but I still feel bad, it was some gang thing.” We arrived at takemitchis room and I held the door open for her. We heard a sobbing like sound. Hina pushes back the curtain.
“Are you ok!what’s wrong?” There was a blonde girl with her head on his lap, she was crying, I think Hina took it differently though, common mistake anyone would make.
“Oh no stop! That’s gross!” She looked disgusted “how dare you” she sounded like she wanted to barf. I think he got the message.
“NO NO NO! It’s not what it looks like Hina I swear!!!” She hit him.
“You good to be released?” I asked not wanting this misunderstanding to continue, I like Hina, can’t have him lose her.
———————
“I’m leaving now is there anything you want?” I poked my head through mitchi’s room to see him doing the puzzle I got him.
“Uhh no thanks just some snacks” he’s actually concentrating for once.
“No medication that the doctors gave you?” I ask for confirmation.
“No they gave me none actually.” He’s still focused on the puzzle.
“Alright I’ll be back soon bye” I wave him off and go downstairs. I stop by the mirror in the hallway to make sure I look good before leaving, it’s not that hot nor that cold so I can wear an outfit with a fair amount of accessories and layers. I open the door and I’m greeted with the sight of Mitchi’s friend group.
“Hello guys, Mitchis in his room.” I let them in. “Don’t cause a mess or get him to move around to much.”
“Thank you Keiko” Akkun says leading the rest up the stairs.
I leave the house and start walking down the street, I can’t take the bike so I’ll walk. I pass by a few people but one sticks out, he’s tall and blonde with the sides of his hair shaven of, the rest pulled into a plate, with a dragon tattoo on the side of his head, he’s a gang member definitely. I go about my day not stopping for him, why should I he holds me no importance but being a stranger on the street.
———————
The shopping got done but the front yard was undone.
“Mitchi and his friends had fun I see..” things were thrown everywhere, his bat was broken, his favourite bike, at least mine was left untouched and unscathed. I made my way through the yard carefully and opened the door with my foot, I slipped my shoes off and put the groceries on the counter. I grabbed my phone and called the bot at the source of all this mess.
———————
Takemitchis POV
“Oh Crap!” Keiko was calling me, I remember the way we left the yard and prayed her bike was ok, I never got to check.
“Hey Kei how’d the shopping go?”
“Good I got all the stuff but I have a question”
“Uhhh yeah..?”
“What happened to the front yard?!”
“Ahhh! I’m so sorry Kei really my friends had a fight and I tried to stop them but it got out of hand look-“ at this point everyone stopped to look at me with the mention of the fight.
“Your lucky my bike is ok.”
“Oh thank god.”
“You and me are cleaning this together tomorrow alright? And where are you anyway it’s late out.”
“I’m ok don’t worry I’m with my friends at the par-“
“But still it’s dangerous past sunset you should come home, what if you got mugged, or beaten up or-“
“Keiko. I’ll be ok, this isn’t Yokohama ok shibuya might not be the safest place ever but it’s not Yokohama.”
“Ah.. I know, sorry I just-“
“It’s ok your just looking out for me, I’ll head home in a minute alright I’m safe.”
“Hmm.. alright we can talk more when you get home, but be safe, by Mitchi, love you to the moon”
“And I’ll love you all the way back, see you soon Kei” I ended the call with the others looking at me.
“What..?” I sweat dropped
“Who was that?” Mikey asks.
“Uhh.. it’s Keiko, my sister.”
“What! You have a sister! And you never told us! And here I thought we were friends.” Mickey complained.
“Yeah what’s up with that takemitchi.” Darken turns to me.
“Well it’s not like the topic came up and she’s a keep to herself kinda person..” I answered.
“But she’s really nice! And pretty, and quite protective, but she’s cool.” Hina adds talking about Keiko. Emma looks at her.
“You know her Hina?” Hina nods her head.
“Yeah, apart from Takemitchi I was her first friend when they took her in.” She had a smile on her face, one she wears for Keiko, it holds sincerity, she treats Keiko like her own sister, it makes me happy that my two favourite girls get along well.
“Took her in?” Draken asks.
“Yeah my mum took her in when she saw her passed out in an alley near her work. She was in bad shape but refused to go to the hospital when she woke up, almost got out the car while it was on the freeway, mum came home to patch her up.” I explained shortly, I didn’t think it was ok for me to explain the whole story, it wasn’t my decision.
“Woah! So she was a street rat!” It was mikey.
“HUH!”
“Uhh..”
“You can’t say that you idiot!” Draken gave him a slap over the head. “Don’t go bad mouthing Takemitchis sister! Now apologies!”
“Hmph! Sorry Takemitchi.” His apology was half assed!
“It’s alright I guess..” I rubbed my neck not knowing how to respond. “Hey, I uhh..gotta go now so I’ll se you guys at the festival yeah?”
“Ask Kei if she wants to come! She needs to get out more and plus she could meet Emma!” Hina stated.
“I’ll try to get her out..” I turn and take my leave home. “Bye!”
NOTE: boom! Done with this first chapter, so idk how this story is gonna go or if it’s gonna be continued but I do have some backstory for Keiko and I think if I do continue this it’ll be really fun, also don’t worry I’m still doing the twst one I’ve got a chapter in the making rn it’s half way there but tell me what y’all think of this, also the first person thing might not be forever I just wanted to give it a shot, anyway bye ✌️ have a good day.
