frfr, idk how people abandon their pets. i’m literally so attached to every animal ever. i see a stray cat at a park and i’ll think of them forever and worry about them too. and people who don’t spay their cats and expect them to be outdoors are such assholes. i’ve had to spay/neuter 10+ cats due to overpopulation in the last two years and i have four more females to go (excluding my own 8 out of 9 cats). it’s insane and so so so sad. the fact that they took off the collar is so stupid too. it really sucks. i cannot comprehend.

1: Y/N is a ring fighter that used to beat the living shit out of people for rich people entertained. They used to be the skelly gang's top fighter but stopped (moral reasons, a kid, injury, family, etc) and no longer affiliates w/ the family.

Hold up! There's another fight coming up, and Sans really needs to win this one, and who else to call but you?

This one's allota hurt, misunderstanding, bad communication. Angst and sad back stories galore.

2: You save this gloopy lookin skeleton man from getting hit by a bus, AND NOW HE WANTS YOU TO INHERIT HIS CRIME ORGANIZATION!? You politely refuse (cause you have no idea how to run one of those), and so he suggests you pick one of his many sons to pick up his legacy. Now you got hot skellies flirting, threatening, and bargaining with you to choose one of them. You might just snatch that title outa spite....

Romcom again. Flirty, fun, dramatic. All the jazz.

3: Alright this one hella self indulgent.

You're the only child of a nefarious crime lord, and they appoint their best men as your body guards. They body guards being hot skeleton men. Oh hey! They also like you romantically cause, who tf wouldn't??? You're so segsy and amazing 🥰. Thas all I got though, no plot.

This one's giving me elegant romance. HELLA ELEGENT 😡. Kinda the same vibe as my hotel au.

Reincarnation au:

This one is essentially a rip off of those "villianess reincarnates in a dating sim/romance novel" mangas/manhwas.

Y/N was just a regular person who got hit by a bus and given a second chance at life. Surprise, surprise! They got reincarnated into a novel where the skellies are royality and all fight for the affections of an MC. Unfortunately, Y/N got reincarnated as a villain instead of literally anyone else. Yah know what else? The villian dies in the end! Wahoo!

In order to prevent this terrible end, you pull a few strings to make sure you're alive at the end of the day. But hazzah, the main characters are inescapable, and now their affections are geared towards you!

This one is a lot of romcom stuff.

1 - Games you’re currently playing?

i almost forgot somehow, but im playing street fighter 6! super fun and i love the cast except for when the game is too hard and i feel overwhelmed by all the tech and things you have to do to learn characters :< at least they are all hot... 😔✊ but also the like player characters you can make are cool. it's a very good character creator and i always love it when games have that for my roleplaying brain. but again theres too much stuff and it takes too much time to get i dont wanna have to unlock moves :<

2 - Do you like playing with mods?

yes! mods are so good... you can tweak your experience to be just a little more comfortable, or revamp the whole thing. i usually only go through the effort of getting them when its a game i really like, like the binding of isaac or monster hunter or smth. i get all the enjoyment i can out of the base game, then do mods. its fun! theres also just cosmetic mods that change like appearances and audio and stuff like that, and those can get kinda goofy so probably i'd also wait til i'd done enough of the base game in general, but those are really good too!!

6 - Last game you finished?

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hmmm i guess i would say... even though this is a replay, og pokemon platinum (emulated) i skipped the "buying the new remade game out of nostalgia" step and just went back the original without any of the annoying wait times due to emulation lol i like doing challenge runs on it like monotypes and nuzlockes, usually sort of building a team to a certain "character" (another roleplay thing, i really like doing that :p), its pretty fun! i dont always finish runs but theyre certainly enjoyable

13 - A series you’ve enjoyed since your early days of gaming and still enjoy to this day whether it still has games coming out or is one you return to?

i have so many of these!!! well, they more apply in a "single game i always come back to" sense, but still

i have to say smite first bc i still play that game sooo much (almost 3000 hrs ack...) the third person moba + characters u play as are gods from various mythologies combination is really good, hi-rez kinda struck gold with that

theres also left 4 dead of course (but really its l4d2 since it has all of l4d1's stuff) which ive played since i was a kid... its fun i love it! def a favorite of mine... altho the periods i play it are kinda intermittent

binding of isaac series... i played the original flash game which was not as fun but it was a more like, meaningful experience. which is definitely part due to the amazing music, and possibly in part due to that unfairness making it feel hopeless. i only play rebirth these days of course because it is much bigger and better in terms of gameplay, and gameplay is pretty important for roguelikes lol, but you can't talk about rebirth without talking about the original! also rebirth doesnt have good music :(( the only actually good track is the burning basement one (which is really good, but not enough to make up for a whole soundtrack of meh songs). although the recently added dogma fight song is great too, the cathedral ost is good, and the hush fight is one i personally like... other than that its all :l

oh and i still play long live the queen every now and then. a sequels coming out soon which is great!! but its not like the same setting where youre a princess trying to become queen and also theres cool magic which is sad... also the deaths in that game are adorable i love them

look at it isn't it cute. go play this game everyone its fun you have to stop a princess from dying. i like how its written too. i recommend 👍

First impression: oh so this is one of those characters thats specifically catered to my interests huh. Cool.

Impression now: Yeah of course she is my favourite. No surprises here. I have a type.

Favorite moment: ... that moment in the final episodes where the camera zoomed into her missing finger, the deadlines on her calendar, her meds and brett immediately went from telling her how sad he would be if she left the company to pretending that he wasnt sad at all because he knows how much she is suffering here and he only wants the best for her. Even if it means never seeing her again. Also EVERYTHING about Appleton tbh. God. Also that time she kicked her dad out of her house??? Queen.

Idea for a story: haven't had any concrete story ideas about my girl reagan sadly 😔 i should get around to reading some inside job fanfics, get some inspo.

Unpopular opinion: nothing comes to mind really. I haven't interacted a lot with the inside job fandom to know their popular and unpopular opinions tbh.

Favorite relationship: god.... Bret and reagan besties 4ever. Also! I was shocked by how much i liked her relationship with ron?? I usually hate it when my fave characters get a love interest half way through a show. Like HATE IT hate it. But honestly when they first started dating i couldn't help but wonder HOW she was going to fuck it up. Like this is Reagan we are talking about, she cant be happy for more than a few episodes in a row so i was hooked waiting for their relationship to fall apart somehow and holy shit????? Their ending was literally so much better than everything i could have ever imagined??? I was sobbing my eyes out god bless.

Favorite headcanon: this woman is bi sorry i don't make the rules. But honestly i feel like i don't have a lot of headcanons about her sadly.

Christine Daae 🎵

First impression: just an average girl character from a century old book. Nothing too wild.

Impression now: oh this girlie is INSANE insane. Ive seen it. I enjoy it. Impressive case of daddy issues. Beautifully kind and determined. She wasn't even in love with the phantom my girl thought she was being visited by the angels sent by her dead father. Good for her. Honestly the phantom is WAY closer to what i usually consider My Type when it comes to fictional characters when compared to Christine. My love for her completely blindsided me, she was one of those characters i didn't expect to be my faves.

Favourite moment: "wishing you were somehow here again" for the musical and everything about her insane "talking with the weird gremlin man who lives in my walls and pretending he is an angel" era for the book. Also the cemetery scene in the book? My girl is delusional.

Idea for a story: none tbh. I haven't read this book in years im not as obsessed with her as i was back then but she still holds a special place in my heart.

Unpopular opinion: idk i never had a strong opinion on the whole phantom - christine - raoul love triangle thing and i feel like the people fighting over this are a little insane skksks. Like. I don't think she ever fully loved erik even tho she sympathized with him? Also fighting over who Christine should choose reminds me of the people who used to fight over who katniss from the hunger games would choose. Like peeta is Katniss' chance to heal while gale is still at war and raoul is the light while erik is the night!! Of course she chose raoul in the end like cmon. Now, that doesn't mean that i can't appreciate the fucked up insane relationship between a basement dwelling sewer man who kills people just because and a grief stricken woman who searches for divinity in everything that surrounds her.

Favourite relationship: probably erik and christine solely for the fucked up factor. Also her relationship with her father even tho he is dead before the book starts and we barely know anything about him. Its pretty obvious that his death affects her a lot.

Favourite headcanon: cant really think of anything tbh. Once again its been a while since i last read this book. But also i feel very strongly about this woman being a brunette for no particular reason.

People from memorial day (the ones I remember)

Older woman maybe 70s states she's been more clumsy the last couple of days and now her left leg doesn't want to work right and has tingles in her left hand. She was a stroke alert and ended up having a HUGE brain mass but no stroke.

Another older lady who was in fact having a stroke with last known normal time of like 2hrs before she came in.

Frequenty flier. I'll call her groaning lady. She was admitted last week with DKA and a blood glucose of 1149 or something. Comes back to the er probably 2 hours after discharge still in gown with her band still on complaining of high blood sugar but she didnt give a number.

Middle aged guy says his wife got great care from us before and trusted us to take care of him. States he has dull generalized abdominal pain for like 3-4 days now and today it's sharp and just above his right hip. Oh and he has nausea/vomiting. After scans, my suspicions were confirmed. It was appendicitis.

Younger woman with muffled hearing. She used ear drops from previous infection and it kinda helped but they're so swollen she can't get drops in anymore. Double ear infection 😫

The allergic reaction to wasp stings. Had 3 or 4 stings in one spot and it was too much for the epi pen to manage. She stayed for like 2 hours after treatment to make sure her throat didn't close and then left. The charge nurse kept trying to get her a bed even though she felt fine.

The sheer amount of people that think they need to come to the er cause they or their child puked ONCE in like 24 hours. But hey, EMTALA says we can't send them away. We also can't say no to the people that have a sore throat or sinus pressure.

The lady that screamed at us in the lobby while threatening to sue because she saw a doctor before she saw a nurse and we can't discharge unless they get vitals charted by a nurse. She had congestion and clearly didn't need to stay as she was able to yell and scream at a coworker and me for 30 mins.

The lady who thought she was having a heart attack cause she couldn't breathe. Ekg revealed it was a panic attack.

This is understandable. Kid fell in pool, wasn't in for very long and he's walking acting normal but he's nonverbal autistic. Parents brought him in to make sure he was OK since he can't respond.

The lady who broke up a fight between her dogs and I put it in as a finger wound so they wouldn't go after her dogs. Her middle finger had a chunk missing.

EMS brought us a younger male OD and they gave him 6 doses IV/IM narcan. How much is enough? Apparently 6 doses.

The sad babies that now have RSV because their siblings have it and it's just sad 😔

The mom that brought her kid in for constipation and checked herself in for like the same thing. She had a muscle strain. Got discharged, went to the car, and came back complaining of chest tightness/shoulder pain but wouldn't pull her dress up for an EKG.

At one point we walked a group of like 4 patients back to pediatrics cause they won't open our pedi er entrance. And as soon as I got them back there, i had 3 more to go back.

The lady with 4 children in the lobby that hasn't had her period for 2 months. Thinks our tests are better than the drugstore?

Nausea while 32 weeks pregnant? Not an ER issue. That's an L&D issue cause that baby could pop.

I may think of more and add it to a new post but jeez we saw lots of people and our normal capacity is only like 30 something even though we have lots more beds. Pedi is like 15-20 beds and adult er has 2 triage rooms, 4 trauma rooms, 6 bed vertical ED, 5 bed BHU, and then I think it's 48 or 50 single bed rooms. We just don't have the staffing or the need to keep it all open all the time. We shoulda opened intake though. It hides some patients from the lobby view.

authors note: sorry it’s been so long 😔 work has been killing me and i just finished moving sooooo yeah lol but enjoy my loves and as always stay safe 🥰🥰

i couldn’t bring myself to wake up. i had been awake for a week now but i refused to open my eyes.

“he’s gone,” mijoo, my nurse, states. okay, so maybe i refused to open my eyes… for jungkook.

when they had told me he was the one who saved me, i was so embarrassed. how could i look him in the eye after that?

how could i have let her overpower me so easily like that?

i was more so angry at myself because of how weak i was. i can’t believe i really allowed myself to cave like that.

there was also something else that prevented me from really opening my eyes and speaking to him.

“i love you, please don’t leave me.”

he loves me. he loves me. he loves me.

no matter how many times i repeat it in my head, it still doesn’t sound real. he told me loved me after seeing me at my lowest. i wanted to combust from happiness and embarrassment all at once. someone like jungkook really loves me. i don’t think i could ever get tired of hearing or saying it.

“you know, you’re going to have to talk to him eventually,” mijoo says pointedly, checking my vitals.

“what do you i even start with? ‘sorry you had to rescue me don’t worry about the concussion by the way. oh, i love you too’. yeah, cause that doesn’t sound mental,” i scoff.

when i had woken up a week ago, mijoo was changing out my iv bags. i begged her not to say anything yet, only to the doctor. i wanted time to process that i put myself in this position again. she agreed, staying by my side the entire time. but a week had came and gone and jungkook was as stubborn as stubborn comes. he would come at the start of visiting hours and leave once they ended. it was such a regular thing that the nurses at the desk greeted him by name and would chat with him. i knew i would have to eventually come clean and speak to him but i didn’t want to do so while i was still trying to understand why he loved me.

maybe it was a spur of the moment kind of thing? ya know, something you say when someone is dying. or maybe he didn’t mean it at all and was just speaking out of his ass? what if he did mean it? i couldn’t figure out what scared me more: him lying or him meaning it.

“you could start by asking him how he’s been,” mijoo chides, continuing with her daily task.

“what do you mean?” i ask, slightly nervous to her underlying tone.

“he’s looking sicker and sicker everyday,” she sighs, placing the IV bag back on its hook. it broke my heart. despite everything, i had forgotten about his illness. not intentionally, of course, but because he never acted sick so i was never aware of how bad it was actually getting. it was easy to pretend like the bad never existed when you shroud yourself into your own cloud of selfishness.

“is his treatment not working?” i asked, curious about his progress since i’ve been to selfish to ask him myself.

“you know i can’t disclose patient information. besides, this will give you an opportunity to talk to him and ask him yourself,” mijoo smirks, discarding her gloves in the bin.

“don’t act like hipaa is the real reason you’re doing this,” i scowl, folding my arms over my chest and leaning into my seat. she chuckles and shakes her head, heading out of the room.

“talk to him. it might do you both some good,” mijoo says before heading out of the room for good, shutting the door behind her. i scoff at the door and rolled my eyes. i knew she was right. but it was taking everything in me to continue to find reasons not to talk to him. but it was getting harder and harder because i did miss him more than i cared to admit.

when the next day rolled around, i made a decision. i had to see him for myself. the curiosity was killing me on what he looked like. it has been nearly a month since we last looked at each other. and i mean really looked at each other.

i woke up extra early and waited for him to arrive. my heartbeat matched the beat of the ticking seconds on the clock. it was like time was slowly inching closer to it’s desired time and i could feel, hear and smell everything within each passing second. i knew why i was so nervous, but it still didn’t help. i waited anxiously for the time to reach 8 AM and when it did, i could hear him down the hall, animatedly speaking to the nurses at the check-in counter. he stood there speaking to them for quite some time, as he normally does, before making his way over to my room. i tried to relax my body the best i could but nothing in the world could relax me for this moment of truth.

and nothing could relax me for the moment our eyes met.

the door swung open slowly, as if he were trying his best not to disturb me. but the minute his eyes looked up from the ground, he froze. his eyes widened, his mouth forming in a surprised ‘O’. he made no sound as he paused in the doorway to the room.

“uh.. hi?” i whisper, afraid of breaking the silence completely. he still stood frozen, not moving for some time which started to send some panic up my spine. maybe this was a bad idea.

and then he ran to me, his body collapsing onto mine as he laid on top of me.

“fuck, i missed looking into your eyes,” he whispered into my chest. i laughed and started playing with his hair as he cuddled into me.

“i missed seeing your face too much,” i admitted nervously, still toying with his hair that seemed to have grown short over the past few weeks.

“i’m glad you decided to stop pretending and talk to me,” he chuckled, nestling his head further into my chest. my fingers froze and my body tensed as i looked down at him. he rested his chin on my chest to look up at me, smiling brightly.

“you knew?” i asked incredulously, shocked that he allowed me to play out my lie this long.

“i mean… you’re no emmy award winning actress,” he chuckled, his eyes never leaving my face. this made me laugh, and i mean sincerely laugh, for the first time in weeks. god, i missed him.

“why didn’t you say anything?” i asked as i continued to play with his hair. he shrugged first and then stared at me in silence.

“i didn’t want you to feel pressured to talk to me, even with everything that happened, so i let you come to me on your own terms,” he sighed, turning his head to lay on my chest. he inhaled and exhaled slowly, content with the moment he was living in. it was absolute bliss having him here in this moment. i took a second to look at his frame. he looked tinier than i remembered. his hair was thinning out and his skin was as pale as snow.

“how bad is it?” i ask after while. i could feel his body go rigid at my question as he tried his best to think of something to say.

“ugly truth or beautiful lie?” he asked. of course his answer is poetic. it wouldn’t be him if he didn’t.

“honestly? the ugly truth. i’m tired of living my life in beautiful lies,” i sigh, my fingers threading themselves into his dark locks.

“what do you mean?” he asks, his eyebrows furrowing. i giggle and shake my head.

“nuh-uh. you first tough guy,” i laugh. he chuckles and then exhales deeply, trying his best to compose himself.

“i’ve stopped my chemo and am gradually weening off of the radiation,” he murmurs. i feel my heart drop at the news. it was as bad as i thought.

“is there a reason?” i asked him, trying my best to understand the medical aspect of everything.

“they wanted me to stop treatment altogether. but.. i couldn’t just give up. not like that,” he pouted, his thumb rubbing circles on my hips. i didn’t realize he had even grabbed my hips to begin with.

not like that.

he meant not while i was battling for my life. he didn’t want anything to happen to me because… he hadn’t said goodbye to me yet.

i was fighting to keep the tears inside as i started rubbing his back.

“i know what you’re thinking and it’s not like that,” he murmured.

it never really surprised me anymore how well jungkook could read me like a book. before, it used to scare me. i was always one to mask how i was truly feeling inside. i could say i was fine with a smile on my face and people would buy it like it was on sale. now? i could fool everyone else except jungkook. never jungkook.

“what else am i to think except for the fact that you are holding out for me?” i asked incredulously. he sat upright, legs crossing as he sat at the foot of my bed.

“it’s not for you. it’s because of you,” he reasoned.

“what’s the difference?” i asked.

“i’m not living for you. it’s too much of a burden to place on your shoulder. but it’s because of you that i have found a reason to live again. to want to keep fighting even when i have no fight left in me. you have painted a new world for me to see and i want to live in it with you and only you. you make me the happiest i’ve ever been. and i know i’m not gonna live through this, but with the time i have left i want to spend it with you. because i love you,” jungkook confesses.

i giggle at him and watch as his face falls. i try to bite back my laughter but i couldn’t help it as i reminisce back on our first encounter. i grab his hand and kiss his knuckles softly, my laughter bubbling out as i do so.

“remember when we first met and you told me to be careful not to fall in love with you?” i murmur, stroking the back of his hand in soft circles.

“yeah?”

“i should’ve probably taken you seriously back then…”
