Be Safe | Azriel x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: you are on your way to Day Court when Azriel stops you. After the two of you fall victim to Cassian's and Mor's teasing, Azriel realizes why he can't just let you go.
warnings: fluff and a hint of suggestiveness at the beginning
note: I saw this tiktok and decided to write it into a little scenario because I loved it so much.
Tumblr media
“Oh, you’re going to love the Day Court,” Mor purrs with a grin. “And it’s High Lord. Helion…let’s just say his pegasus isn’t the only thing you’ll want to ri–”
“Oookay.” Cassian chimes in with a chuckle, placing his hand over Mor’s mouth to keep her from finishing her sentence. “Settle down, Mor. We don’t want her to love it too much!”
“Don’t worry, I’ll come back,” you respond and then laugh as Mor bites Cassian’s hand. "Besides, Rhys will be there and he’s, you know, my boss. This trip is purely professional.”
The three of you stand in the foyer of the town house, Cassian cradling his hand to his chest with a pointed look at Mor, who merely rolls her eyes. You were heading for Day Court, where Rhysand already waited for you. Cassian and Mor had stopped you, insisting on wishing you well before leaving, even though your mission was amicable. The only danger you could possibly encounter on your trip, it seems, would be Helion’s chambers. A welcomed danger, if Mor’s insinuations were to hold truth.
“I should go now. I told Rhys I would be there within the next half hour almost an hour ago.”
As you gaze at your friends, a subtle ache tugs at your heartstrings, a silent yearning for another’s presence. Though you know he's currently engaged in a mission, you can't help but wish he were here beside you too.
You turn away from your friends, preparing to winnow to the Day Court. It's as though the Cauldron itself heard your unspoken longing. Just as you're about to step forward, a hand emerges from the depths of the shadows, halting you in your tracks with a gentle yet firm touch.
You turn back around, watching as the darkness seems to part for him, revealing those warm hazel eyes that could pierce through the darkest of nights. “Azriel,” you greet in pleasant surprise.
His eyes lock onto yours and you suddenly find it hard to breathe. “Be safe,” he murmurs, his voice deep yet sweet like honey. The way he looks at you, full of concern and something else you can’t quite discern at the moment, sends a delightful warmth seeping into your heart.
Azriel’s gaze flickers down toward your intertwined hands and you notice the subtle tension that comes from his scarred hands before he abruptly lets yours go. It’s a moment of vulnerability that makes your chest ache. You want to reach out for his hands again but he comes to stand by your side instead.
His arm brushes against yours. The dark tendrils dancing around his shoulders revel in your proximity, slithering down his arm and coiling around you in a cool embrace. You welcome his shadows, smiling softly when you feel them tug you closer to their master, deliberately enchanting you with the scent of cedar and night chilled mist. It’s as if they don’t want you to leave his side.
“I will,” you finally respond, your voice a mere whisper as you look up at him
Azriel’s gaze softens. The tension between you dissipates into something lighter, something magical. The world around seems to fade into darkness, leaving only the two of you suspended in a moment that feels both infinite and fleeting. No words are spoken yet so much is said.
Meanwhile, Cassian and Mor exchange a knowing look of their own. The mutual crushing between you and Azriel has been evident to everyone for years. Well, everyone, except for you and Azriel. Mor and Cassian will give you grace, as Azriel can be unreadable at times. But Azriel? The spymaster of the Night Court? How he cannot see your unmistakable crush on him is beyond them.
“Be safe,” Cassian says, mocking Azriel’s tone. There’s a mischievous gleam in his hazel orbs as he gazes down at Mor, pouting his lips in an exaggerated manner.
Mor’s eyes light up, mirroring Cassian’s mischief. She leans in toward Cassian’s shoulder–the very same way you’re doing with Azriel. Except, she wraps her arms around Cassian’s larger one, resting her head on his chest. “I’ll be so safe,” she cooes, voice like velvet.
Azriel feels the heat rising to his neck. He turns to Cassian and Mor, gaze darkening with an icy glare. “Stop,” he warns but it only encourages the two further.
They continue to hug each other and make kissing sounds. A blush creeps up your cheeks and you seek solace in Azriel’s arm, burying your face against it. Azriel’s wing instinctively curls around your form in a protective manner. Were you being that obvious? Your answer is immediately given as your hands gravitate towards each other once more.
“Stop it! Or I’m going to kill you!”
Cassian pulls Mor even closer. His brows furrow, softening his expression as he directs his pout toward Azriel. “But how would that keep us safe?”
None of you will be safe if you keep delaying y/n. Helion does not like to be kept waiting, echoes an all too familiar voice–Rhys’s– through your minds. He leaves your mind as quickly as he entered it, lingering only in Azriel’s long enough to add: Let her go.
Azriel blinks, not realizing that throughout the teasing, his fingers had intertwined with yours. He turns his attention back to you, reluctantly releasing your hand. A sheepish expression takes over his features as he brings the hand that had been holding yours to rub the back of his neck.
“I’m sorry. I just can’t help but worry when you’re not home,” Azriel admits quietly.
Mor and Cassian both let out a sound that Azriel is quick to stifle with his shadows.
“It’s only for a week,” you assure him as you open the door and step outside. You feel a flicker of anticipation tingling in your veins as you prepare to winnow. You turn back to face Azriel and your friends one more time.
“Don’t miss me too much, okay?”
But I miss you already, Azriel thinks as he feels a strange stirring awakening deep in his chest. His shadows buzz around him in excitement.
“Bye, y/n. Have fun but not too much fun!” Cassian calls out to you in mock warning over Azriel’s right shoulder.
Mor peeks out from Azriel’s left shoulder and winks at you. “But if you do find yourself having too much fun, call for me, okay?”
“Sure,” you agree and Azriel fails to notice the reciprocated teasing in your tone.
He’s too busy glancing between Cassian and Mor, hazel eyes wary. His shadows whisper to him, confirming the suggestiveness of their words. Uneasiness settles into his stomach, causing his entire body to tense up.
He’s familiar with the flirtatious nature of the High Lord of the Day Court. Too familiar that he can already dreadfully anticipate the sweet words Helion will shower you with. His shadows stir, excitement morphing into panic. What if you fall victim to Helion’s charm?
Suddenly, he hates the idea of you going to Day.
As your gazes meet once more, an unseen force seems to settle into place. His eyes widen in realization, his mouth parting to utter your name, but it’s too late. You’re already winnowing away and he lurches forward, after you, pulled by the golden threads that have wildly unfurled within his chest.
Mate. You're his mate.
Tumblr media
note: I did not know how to end this so please don't come for me for ending it like this lol. Just know that Az is winnowing away to join you in Day Court right after. I hope you enjoyed! <3

Sneaking around
Tumblr media
r.q: Hii I was wondering if you could do a Jacerys x twin!reader. Where they have been betrothed since they were young, and as the grow up they start slightly falling for each other. And one night she sneaks into his room and they explore themselves 👀can it be smut aswell. 💕🙏
w.c: 3.2k
c.w: porn with plot, misunderstandings, oral (f), p in v, very inaccurate first time, loss of virginity, jacaerys is an idiot, not proofread, supportive daemon, happy ending, avoids use of y/n, talks of baela/jacaerys
requests are open
part two coming soon
Tumblr media
You and jacaerys were inseparable ever since you were born. You two did practically everything together. You ate together, you sat and watched him train while he would sit with you and watch you stich. It was hard to separate the two of you. Your mother even told you when you were very young you would cry if you even lost sight of him and they had to bring him to you to comfort you.
You had thought nothing of it, not until you had reached the age of three and ten when your mother announced you were to marry him. You could not even process this news as seemingly right after came the news of lady laena’s death and funeral then very soon after the marriage between your mother and daemon.
When you could finally have a moment to breathe back at dragonstone you tried to turn to jacaerys but he seems to be avoiding you at all costs. More interested in spending his day with baela and lucerys. You couldn't even get along with him let alone speak a word to him without him dodging you and mumbling something about being busy before walking away and most of the time he would be spotted talking with baela and it broke you.
You began spending more time with Rhaena and Joffrey instead. Joffrey was far too young to even understand why you were upset but rhaena did and did her best to try and cheer you up.
It was hard to move past it but It got easier as the years went on and he still refused to even glance at you.
“Do you think she will call off the betrothal if I ask her too?” you were now eight and one after your recent name day and dread filled you as you realized you were getting closer and closer to marrying jacaerys. You two still did not talk, you had given up trying to speak to him a long time ago.
Daemon who was casualing sitting next to you takes a sip out of his goblet, “why ever would you ask her to?”
You do not lift your head to look at him with his curious stare and continued to stare at the game board in front of you, picking up one of the pieces before answering,
“He does not like me, it would be better for both of us if he married someone else,” you place the piece down before answering him, “like baela.”
He laughs, he laughs so hard he has to clutch his stomach, “it is not funny.”
He wipes a tear from his face as he manages to calm down. “You're right it is hilarious.”
You scoff and cross your arms, “i knew i shouldn't have brought it up-”
“No no, please continue why do you think he likes baela?” He seemingly picks up a random piece from the board and moves it before leaning back on his chair and looking at you expectantly. “Why should I not? When we had been betrothed the first thing he did was decide he wanted nothing to do with me since. Even on our shared name day he says nothing to me except simply wishing me well. He spends every waking moment with her, and when he is not with her he is with my brothers and simply acts like i do not exist he does not even extend me a good morning or a good night for gods sake!” one of your hands slam down on the table in front of you, the board pieces moving but not falling over and you only grow more and more annoyed at the amused look on his face.
“You are in love with him.” “What does that have to do with anything?”
“You do not deny it.” you angrily move another piece of yours on the board and lean back on your chair as he does.
“It doesn't matter he does not like me. I shall bring it up to mother anyway since you are of no help.”
He chuckles to himself as a servant enters the room to inform him rhaenyra requests his presence. He shakes his head as he stands moving one of his pieces before turning back to you. “Give it time Issa dōna.”
It is the last thing he says before he is led out the room. You glance down at the board and throw your head back with a sigh.
He had won.
“She plans to ask your mother to cancel the betrothal.”
Jacaerys freezes his head whipping around to look at daemon who was standing closely behind him.
“Whatever do you mean?”
Daemon laughs, “you sister. She plans to have your betrothal called off.”
“Why?”
“Gods you really are foolish boy.”
Jacaerys always believed you to be his better half. While he was more temperamental and hot headed you always seemed to be so rational and so kind. When he heard of your betrothal the first thing he felt was excitement, but it soon turned into fear as he began to worry he would not be a well suited husband to you. He began to spend more time with baela and his mother who taught him how to be a kind and honorable young man and in turn he had begun to ignore you out of fear of ruining your relationship. He had never thought you would turn around and ask for the engagement to be dissolved.
“You should act quick, she seems rather determined to be rid of you.”
Daemon could barely finish his sentence as he watches jacaerys march out of the room and a smile falls on his face.
–
You almost jump out of your seat as the doors of the room you resided in busted open. You moved to a balcony and had been reading. You clutch your book to your chest as you lock eyes with a seemingly out of breath jacaerys who lets out a sigh of relief upon seeing you.
“Jacaerys?”
“Sister, good day.”
You have no clue what to say. This is the first to who knows how long he had come up and approached you himself. All you could do is nod your head as you went back to reading your book.
“Could I sit with you?”
You hum and he takes that as a que to take a seat right next to you. You attempt to focus on the words in the book in front of you but you feel his stare burning into the side of your face you can't help but to feel flustered and the words are nothing but a blur.
“Would you not rather be hanging out with others?”
After a few moments of silence you cut through it like a knife without looking up at him you continue to feel him stare at you.
“Who ever could you mean?”
You scoff, aggressively turning the page despite the fact you had not read a single word on the previous one.
“Oh I don't know, baela perhaps.”
“Baela? I believe she's busy today. But what does she have to do with-” “Oh so you are finally spending time with me because your precious baela is busy?”
“Where is this coming from?”
You stand and take the book under your arm as he stands up as well looking at you alarmed, “y/n..”
Gods, you missed him. You missed the way he said your name.
“I must go i have a meeting with mother i must attend to,”
He looks alarmed and grabs your arm before you can rush past him, “you must not speak with her.”
He grabs your other arm and pulls you close to him so you are forced to lock eyes with him as you feel your breath leave you. He has a desperate look about him, a wash of guilt and sadness over his eyes.
“I do not deserve it such as i do not deserve you but i must beg for your forgiveness for my transgressions. I have been a bad brother and in part a bad partner but I must beg you to give me another chance. I know I shall never deserve you and I should not have stayed away from you for so long but I was worried you would begin to resent me so I sought out to become a man you would grow to l- grow to enjoy spending your life with. I am sorry. I shall work everyday to earn back your favor and to earn back your trust but I must beg you to not dissolve what has been written in stone between us.”
A tear must have found its way out of your eye as he brings one of his hands to wipe it away, his eyes never straying from yours. “Jace..”
He smiles and leans his forehead against your and takes a deep breath. “I beg of you. Allow me to fall and grovel at your feet for your forgiveness.”
“You're not just going to ask me for it?”
“I do not deserve such an easy fate. You must do me the honor of earning it.”
You laugh and your smile grows as he also begins to smile.
–
A switch from never seeing jacaerys to practically seeing him all waking hours of your day was a dramatic change. When you awoke he would be waiting for you by the door to walk you to breakfast where he would sit next to you and he would request you come and watch him practice with lucerys and you would try and not laugh as he practically threw the younger boy around like a rag.
The more and more time you spent with jacaerys the more brave he would become. When the two of you would walk he would place his hand on your back and slide it down almost low enough to be scandalous oh he would pull you into a empty corridor of the keep before dinner and just run his hands up and down your sides as he nudges his head into your neck, seeming content with simply just touching you as such.
Despite the fact he seemed content, you grew more restless. You wanted him. No, you needed him at this point. Finally having him in your grasp after many years you could barely keep control of yourself when you were around him, wanting nothing more than to jump in his lap and let him have you.
One night you're restless in your bed, turning side to side unable to ignore the ache that resided between your legs and groan as you run your hands along your face.
You decided to fuck it and just go visit him. Throwing on a cloak and don't even bother to tie it, keeping a firm grip on his with one hand as you walk out of your room and as quietly as you can begin to make your way down the hall down the very familiar path to jacaerys room.
You begin to rethink your choice as you stare down his door, your bare feet cold on the harsh flooring of the keep. You could see light peeking out from under his door telling you he was still up despite the later hour and against your better judgment you raise your hand and lightly knock on his door.
You hear a chair scrap and feet paddling towards the door until the door opens and you're met with his shocked face.
“y/n? What are you doing here?” He quickly peeks his head out and looks around the hallway before grabbing your arm and pulling you into the room.
“I just wanted to see you.”
“In the middle of the night?!? Where you could have been seen, what would mother think?”
“I'm sorry..”
You hang your head and jacaerys sighs and rubs his hand over his face, “I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get angry. I am just worried about your reputation.”
He walks over to you and places his hands on your shoulders and you look up at him. You finally notice something, he’s shirtless. You should have noticed that sooner, of course he would be shirtless. You know most men sleep shirtless. Why would he be any different?
He takes notice of your gaze and flushes, you take notice of the red beginning to shine on his ears and on his cheeks.
“I am so sorry allow me to go cover myself-”
You grab his cheeks and he freezes. In your rush for him not to leave your side you forget about your cloak and it falls to the ground.
You gasp and move closer to him as a chill washes over you.
“y/n…”
His hands grip your waist and pull you right up against him and he drops his head into your neck and leaves a kiss there.
“Tell me to stop at once.” he continues to kiss your neck over and over as he runs his hands up and down your sides and you shudder.
“I demand you ask me to stop.”
His lips trail their way up your jaw and his hands rest against your cheek, “why must i?” “For your honor you must push me away for I fear I desire you far too much, it is improper.”
“Jace.”
He groans and stops himself from kissing your lips, leaning his forehead against yours and breathing heavily.
“You must push me away.”
You decide to be bold and push your lips against his and he grips your face with his hands, kissing you frivolously.
Your hands find their way onto his chest and slide down under the band of his pants and he groans, his lips sliding off of yours, a trail of saliva falls between you as his head falls into your neck.
“Please, my love please.” he whines as his hips thrust against your hands. You had snuck away and read many a book about what a man and woman do in bed, especially after reconciling with jacaerys, and you wrap your hands around his dick and take your rub to rub around to the tip of it. He groans into your ear and suckles your neck. You use the seemingly constant flowing precum to pump up and down, taking pleasure in the way he whines and moans in your ear.
“You are too kind to me.” he slurs in your ear as you smile and work faster, “i only wish to please you, would you rather me get on my knees?”
You squeal as he rips your hands off him and lifts you up and carries you over the bed, “as thrilling as that view would be, I would much rather be pleasing you my love.”
He lays you down on the bed and gets on his knees pulling you closer to the edge, once he gets closer he lays his head against your thigh and admires you. “You did not come wearing anything under your gown?”
You cover your face with embarrassment, “do you think me desperate?”
He shakes his head as he moves closer, “no, i am much worse.”
He licks a long strip up your core and grips your hips down with his hands as he eats as if he had never eaten anything before.
Your hands grip his long curly hair and you can barely contain your moans as you try to push him even closer to you.
“How are you so good at this?”
He hums against you sending chills down your spine, “I imagined this more than I would like to admit.” His words are muffled as he continues to assault on your clit but you can understand him clearly and moan even louder. He does not care, if anything he seems to encourage you by not faltering even for a second, if you could have any coherent thoughts you would wonder how he could breathe.
Your grip grows tighter in his hair and your hips fight against his hands as you grow closer and you feel him smile against you. “Come for me, I wish to taste it.”
And you do and he takes his time licking up each and every single drop before kissing his way up and climbs on top of you and smiles at you. His hands fondle your breasts on top of your nightgown, “could you take it off me?”
Once the two of you are sat up he bunches up the bottom of your gown, “lift your hips for me.” he easily slides the gown up and off of you. His eyes glow as they rack over your body, “you are the most beautiful women in the whole world. I shall never deserve you.”
He kisses you before standing up and sliding his bottoms off, you do not get any time to admire his form before he is already climbing over you once more and kissing you again.
“Please jace do not tease me.”
“I should prep you more-”
“I dont care”
“It will hurt-”
“All I want is you, please.” He looks worried but gives in as you feel his dick slap against you and you moan as you grip his shoulders.
“Please tell me if it hurts too much.”
It does hurt. It hurts like hell. A part of you almost tells him to stop pushing into you but you power through until you feel him bottom out. You two sit there for a while, the only sounds being your gasping breaths and his strained groans as he seems to be holding himself back.
Once the pain seems to subside you test with a move of your hips causing him to moan out. “Do not do that.” “You can move.”
“Are you sure?”
“Please do.”
He is slow at first, so slow you can feel every vein up against your walls and you tighten around him and he hisses. As he continues to move your moans seemingly motivate him to begin to move faster and faster until he is rutting into you like he cannot control himself any longer.
You sloppily leave kisses on his neck as your hands grip his back, you are so overwhelmed, all the feelings you hold towards your twin rushing towards you at full force.
“I love you.”
He stops, out of breath he grips your face with his hands, “what?”
Tears flood your face as you stare at him, you thought he never looked so beautiful. “I love you.”
He leans down and kisses away your tears as he begins to move once again, “I love you so much so so so much my sweet.”
In your rush of emotions you came yet he continues to kiss all over your face and your neck until as he did earlier his head slumps into your neck. “Where do you want me to-”
“In me please I beg of you. I need to feel it.”
And so he does. The two of you stay like that for a while, completely out of breath and covered in sweat. One of his hands comes to your cheek once more and caresses it as he lays a gentle kiss on your lips.
“I love you so much.”
“And i love you.”

neglected | mattheo riddle
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: Theodore completly ignores you and doesnt take it serious that you miss him while he flirts with another girl at a party.. so his best friend has to help you filling up that hole inside your … chest.
warning: cheating? but is it if he does it first?, mattheo eating out the reader, fingering, nipple play, teasing, dirty talk, getting caught, he‘s a munch don‘t fight with me over this -
note: i do not support cheating, this is just for the story
Tumblr media
— monday —
I don‘t know how many times I already begged but from time to time.. i felt more and more neglected.
"Theo, please just this one weekend! You had been busy with your friends and studying the last 3 weeks!" Yeah, 3 weeks since my boyfriend went on a date with me, had some quality time or touched me.
"Y/n I told you I don‘t have time. I already promised the boys I‘d come to the party. We‘ll see us there, I have to go study now, with Lydia." Before I could even say a word he left his dorm. I hear a chuckle coming from the other side of the room, making me turn my head in it’s direction.
"Told you you deserve better baby." Mattheo, Theodore‘s best friend said, sitting on his bed. They share a dorm and every now and then he would see Theo and me arguing.
I huff and leave the room, a aching feeling in my body.
— the next day —
"Theo please, I need you. You didn‘t touch me once the last few weeks." I whine into his ear, sitting next to him. He just groans, but not the way I want him to and gets up with his book in his hands. "Don‘t you see that you‘re distracting me?" Irritated he leaves the room, probably walking off to the library again.
Ugh.. i let myself fall back down onto the mattress and cross my arms over my face. Is it my fault? Did my body change somehow? Why the hell won‘t he touch me? But before I could continue my thoughts, I hear the door again, my head shooting up, hoping it is Theo who changed his mind but no, it‘s Mattheo. I groan frustrated and let my head fall back.
"Wow nice to see you too baby, but I think you‘re laying on the wrong bed." he says, teasing me.
"Sometimes I think like that too." I mumble into my arms and more to myself.
"What was that?" he asks. "Nothing."
— two days later —
Patiently I wait on Theo‘s bed, dressed all up.. or down, in his favorite lingerie set and a pair of black knee socks. When we got together half a year ago he told me he loved them on me, made my legs look even longer.
As the door opens my heart starts beating faster and I look up, shrieking and pulling the blanket over my body as I see who it is. "Damn mami is that for me?" Mattheo asks as he stand in front of Theo‘s bed with a smirk on his face, his mouth wide open.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked furious, not wanting him to see me like that. What If Theo comes in and would see us, what would he think?
"Last time I checked this is my room, sweetcheeks." "But you‘re supposed to have quidditch practice!" I whine and look for my clothes.
He chuckles and steps a bit closer as I stand up from the bed. "Could you turn around? I wanna get dressed." "No." "You are such a pain in the ass!" I roll my eyes at him and take my wand, mumbling "Colloportus“. and holding it towards the door so no one can come inside.
I let go of the blanket, thinking fuck it, and grab my skirt, pulling it over my legs and then my hips. "Did your cute little boyfriend leave you unsatisfied again?" he grins and takes a step closer. "You know.. I could help you with that." he says in a suggestive tone. "He’s your best friend Mattheo, stop this shit." "I can’t princess. Hurts me to see that pretty little body of yours, knowing how desperate it must be after all these weeks." he whispers the last part as he lets his fingers slowly brush over my arm, sending shivers down my spine. "See? It’s so hot for just a little attention." "No, it is cold, thats why." I say, swallowing down the clump in my throat as i nod towards the opened window.
Just as I wanted to reach down for my top, I see Mattheo getting down on his knees in front of me. He looks up and licks his lips. Damn.. something about a men on his knees for me made me feel slme type of way.
"Please let me touch your legs, please. Need to know how soft these pretty thighs feel." I could feel his warm breath against my skin, again, sending shivers down my… spine. wet pussy
"Mattheo get the fuck up I swear to god!" i hiss at him. Yes I closed the door with a spell but it wasn‘t really hard for everyone above first years to open it with a spell.
"Please, I swear If you let me just touch it I‘m gonna leave you alone for the rest of the week!" he pleads, looking at my face and then my legs. I sigh as I think about letting him. Damn was I really thinking about it? Am I really going to let my boyfriends best friend touch my thighs?
But I mean.. nothing’s wrong If I don‘t feel anything for it, right? Plus he would just leave me alone for a bit. "Fine." I press out.
As soon as the words leave my mouth, I feel his big warm hands on my thighs. "Shit.." he mumbles as he lets them wander up and down my legs. He slighty squeezes them, making me sigh in relief.
I feel his curls against my skin before I can look down and see him kissing my flesh, grabbing it with a bit more strengh now. I had to bite my bottom lip as he starts massaging them. Completly lost in thoughts, I realize too late what he was doing.
Suddenly he stands up and kisses my cheek "Thank you, doll.", before leaving the dorm and leaving me breathless in the middle of the room. As I slowly come back from the dizzy feeling inside my head I again, stretch over to get my top but gasp with shaky breathing as I see what Mattheo left on my skin.
A hickey. And a bite mark. I didn‘t even notice him biting my leg. Shit.
— Saturday —
To say i was pissed, while sitting on a chair in some corner of the common room, was a big understatement. Theodore and I arrived at the party he talked about a few days ago.. 2hours ago. I saw him drinking with his friends and playing truth or dare in a little group, always walking away from me as soon as I approached him. So I decided to stop chasing him.
"What are you doing here all alone sweetcheeks?" I look to my right and see Mattheo. Of course it was him. "Leave me alone." I say, rolling my eyes and looking back to my boyfriend, sitting beside this girl named Lydia. She was a year under us I think.
Mattheo followed my gaze and shakes his head. "Well , the deal was I would leave you alone till end of the week. The week is over." I don‘t even answer him, not in the mood to argue.
"Yeah thanks for the hickey and the mark between." i say sarcastically. "Yeah it‘s not like your boyfriend would see, right?"
I roll my eyes again and look back at Theodore, to see him standing up. What was he going to do? Suddenly I see him taking Lydia‘s hand, pulling her up with him and kissing her. In shock I opened my mouth, but instead of crying like i normally would, my face got red in anger.
I tried everything and here he stands sucking of the face of that stupid thot. In the middle of the common room? With the girl he "studys" all the time? I bet that’s not the first time they kiss. Mattheo seems to see it too and looks at me more serious now. "Hey.. are you okay? I mean he‘s not worth it If you - " but before he can continue I grab him at the collor of his shirt and drag him with me to his dorm.
— 30 minutes later —
"Oh fuck yes, Mattheo!" I moan into the air, pushing his head against me while his lips suck on my clit, his fingers pumping inside me. "Shit who would have known that you go this feral for my tounge huh?" he smiles and mumbles against my skin.
"Stop talking and continue!" I whine and push his head back. I hear him chuckle before he laps at my throbbing clit again. God If I would have known how good this feels I would have had ended things with Theo way sooner.
His free hand slides across my body up to my left boob where he started to tease my nipple. I gasp and push my hips up, arching my back. My body was so sensitive I wanted to cry out of pleasure everytime he touched me somewhere.
It didn‘t took me long before my body starts trembling and shaking, Mattheo licking everything up as I come on his tounge.
"I could get drunk on your pussy." he groans before kissing me, making me taste myself on his lips.
"I hope you‘re ready cause that pussy screams for me." he whispers against my lips before going down on me again.
A few minutes in I hear someone yell. "WHAT THE FUCK?"
My head shot up and I looked to the door where Theo stood, looking ag us with an angry face.
I saw Mattheo looking at him over his shoulder, smiling at him with glistening lips. "Hey men, hope you don‘t mind? We got the impression you were busy.. never mind – bro how could you not eat that pussy like.. all day?"
"I‘m gonna kill you, Riddle!"

Tumblr media
SINCE THE 20TH CENTURY, the Sim Corporations and Celinea Enterprise, your father’s company, have been fierce rivals in the business industry. There has never been a time when your parents didn't criticize the Sim Corporations.
"Never speak or interact with anyone from that stupid Sim Corporation company, okay?," your mother cautioned as she adjusted your luxurious backpack, preparing you for your first day at a prestigious private school at the age of 5.
"Okay," you nodded obediently as she ran her fingers through your hair one last time, leaving a gentle kiss on your cheek.
"That's my little girl," she whispered before guiding you towards the waiting limousine. "Enjoy your day at school," she said with a wave as the driver closed the door and pulled away.
Arriving at school, you found yourself surrounded by groups of students already deep in conversation, leaving you feeling isolated and alone.
"Hi," a girl tapped your shoulder, and you turned to see a friendly face – Jiheon, around your age, with brown locks and a sprinkling of freckles.
"Hi," you replied timidly. "What’s your name?"
"I’m Jiheon, nice to meet you!" she said warmly, extending her hand. "What’s your name?"
"I'm YN LN," you smiled.
"YN LN? What a lovely name! Come on, let’s go play!" Jiheon exclaimed, taking your hand and leading you to the playground.
As you approached the swings, your favorite spot, you found a young boy already occupying it. His eyes were dark brown, and he had puppy-like features with fluffy, hazel hair.
"Excuse me?" you asked politely, hoping he would relinquish the swing.
"Huh?" the boy turned to face you.
"Could I have a turn on the swing? You can play in the playground. It’s empty," you suggested, trying to be accommodating.
"No, I want to swing. You go play over there," the boy insisted, his grip on the swing firm.
Disappointed but undeterred, you attempted to tug the swing from him, causing him to almost lose his balance.
"Hey!" he protested. "You could have hurt me! My parents are wealthy; I could sue you!"
"I don’t care!" you retorted, frustration bubbling up.
"Who even are you?" the boy demanded, shooting you a glare.
"I'm YN. Now, move," you asserted.
"I'll make sure you regret this. My father runs Sim Corporations," he threatened.
The word “Sim Corporation” seemed like a familiar word to you, but yet your 5 year old self couldn’t even remember. That’s when you remembered, the one thing that your mother educated you to avoid. No wonder why your mom told you to never interact with them, they were foolish stupid people. You backed off a bit and then yelled back, “Fine! You’re so childish and stupid!”
Soon the yelling began for minutes until finally the teacher put you two apart. From then, you knew you wouldn’t be alone in peace for the next whatever years you were with him.
Tumblr media
HERE YOU ARE AT AGE 21, still in university, still with Jake Sim (great). Jake Sim, renowned as the popular "handsome" rich kid on campus, known for hosting parties 24/7 and earning dismal grades. And then there's you, the hardworking, intelligent, and attractive girl on campus, always studying for perfect scores on exams and rarely attending parties.
"Still sticking around in the dorms?" Jiheon asked, your best friend since you were both 5.
"Got to study for the big exam in 3 months," you sighed, pouring yourself another cup of coffee.
"Girl, it's months until that big exam. We only live once, so why waste it buried in textbooks? Besides, you're wealthy enough to have all the financial support you need," Jiheon remarked.
"If I'm going to inherit my father’s company, then obviously I have to put in the work to earn it," you replied, jotting down notes for your homework.
"Boring," Jiheon muttered.
"Fine, if you manage to surpass your previous exam score on this week’s test, I'll accompany you to a party," you proposed. Jiheon immediately perked up, her eyes widening with a grin spreading across her face.
"A party?" Jiheon beamed, "Any party?"
"Any party, but you have to excel on that exam this week," you added.
"Deal!" Jiheon exclaimed, darting off to her room to study. Plus, what were even the chances of Jiheon getting a score over 90% on the exam, especially a girl who loves to go out 24/7.
Tumblr media
YOU WERE AT YOUR DESK, preparing to head to your next class when the front door burst open. Startled, you turned to see Jiheon panting by your room door.
"Y..YN.." Jiheon called your name, leaning against the door, visibly out of breath.
"What's wrong?" you inquired, raising an eyebrow.
Jiheon quickly approached and thrust a paper in front of your face, displaying the number "95%" written on the exam sheet. "95 percent! The highest I've ever scored since we started at this university!"
"95%?" you exclaimed in disbelief, not expecting Jiheon to achieve such a high mark.
"So... about our deal?" Jiheon smirked.
"Fine, I'll go to the party with you. But which party?" you asked, arching an eyebrow.
"I'll take you there," Jiheon winked. Perhaps attending one party wouldn't disrupt your entire schedule and studying routine?
Tumblr media
YOU PULLED UP IN JIHEON'S CAR at a sprawling mansion, its exterior adorned with blazing lights that illuminated the night. The distant thump of music reverberated from the building's gates, signaling the vibrant energy within. Jiheon had yet to disclose whose party it was as you approached.
As Jiheon pushed open the door, a wave of alcohol-laden air and the cacophony of revelry engulfed you. Couples entwined in corners, their inhibitions drowned in intoxication, greeted your sight. The pungent scent of tequila made your nose scrunch up in distaste as you trailed behind Jiheon towards the kitchen, where the makeshift bar stood.
“YN! Jiheon!” a voice called out, drawing your attention to Ningning stationed by the counter. You hurried over and offered a quick wave.
“Didn’t expect to see pretty miss YN here,” Ningning teased, downing another shot of alcohol.
“Jiheon dragged me along,” you chuckled softly.
“Not surprising, considering it’s Jake Sim’s party,” Ningning remarked casually. Your eyes widened in realization. It was Jake's party? You immediately contemplated fleeing until another voice interrupted your thoughts.
“YN LN?” You turned to find Jay, Ningning’s boyfriend(or Jake’s best friend..), with a raised eyebrow. Next to him, Jake Sim – the last person you wanted to encounter.
“What brings you here? Thought you’d be studying or something” Jay inquired.
“Jiheon invited me, so...” you trailed off, noticing Jake's intense gaze assessing you from head to toe.
“I see,” Jay remarked as he draped an arm around Ningning (ew happy couples). The scene around you was a blur of activity – the blasting AC, pulsating music, bodies swaying against each other. The scents of perfume, alcohol, and sweat made you feel lightheaded.
As Jay, Ningning, and Jiheon left quietly, leaving you and Jake alone, an awkward tension filled the space. You fidgeted with your fingers, wondering why he hadn't left yet. Shouldn't he be off somewhere, making out with some random girl by now?
To release the tension, you cleared your throat, "Aren't you going?"
“R-right…” Jake stammered, quickly retreating to the bar, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. Perhaps it had been a while since your last encounter, but there was definitely something different in the air.

everyone thank @psychedelicrocker for telling me to write this instead of f1 alex again, also it's not v obviously 90s au whoopsies
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
alex was fucked.
he had been trying to write one simple song for hours now, and nothing seemed to stick. either a lyric would be too complex for the tune or he'd dumb it down too much. there really was no in between.
in his defense, though, he was freshly free from the harsh confines of a world tour and had lost all semblance of sanity.
he kept pacing around his office until he realized something. through all of the fans and drugs and groupies, he remembered one thing that was a constant.
you.
you met alex at the new jersey show he did with his band and he was intrigued, to say the least. he brought you backstage and had his way with you, sure, but he wanted more. he needed it, or rather, you.
he got you tickets to their next show and told you to come if you could, and you did. you thoroughly enjoyed the show, just as much as you enjoyed the way he destroyed your cunt before it and the way he fucked you til you cried after. the cycle repeated, they'd finish a show, he'd give you tickets to the next one.
the boys hadn't really tried forming connections with the girls they took back to their hotel rooms because to them, it was just a one time thing, they were high and their girl of the night would be starstruck and it was a fun way to unwind post-show. alex had the same mindset for years. until you. you ruined him completely. as much as he adored tearing you apart with his cock, he obsessed over the way you'd laugh breathlessly after a good fuck. he knew he was gone the moment you kissed him, the way your lips felt against his— soft, gentle, caring— it changed him.
the feelings alex had towards you could be described in many ways. an obsession, a need, a want, a love.
he couldn't care less. as long as he had you.
he crumpled up the messy, inked sheet of paper in his hand and tosses it into the trash and runs over to his untouched suitcase and digs through it until he finds the note you gave him at the last show he'd perform before moving to the european leg of the tour. the note had your phone number along with your address and the words 'don't forget me' written with a heart.
he realizes that you only lived a few minutes down the road. he decides to take the risk and punches your number into his landline and holds the receiver up to his ear. you take your time to pick up, but he let it go, it was half past two anyways.
"um, hello?" your voice called out, almost instantly making the hairs on the back of his neck stand and his cock harden.
"hey, doll. been missin' you. been missin' your cunt, to be real specific. come over, i need my muse back." his voice is as sharp as it had always been, hearing it sending you into a frenzy. you were well and truly speechless, and he knew.
"i'll see you here, bunny."
you were still half asleep but the familiar warmth of alex's voice woke you up and you instantly got on your feet and began running around your room, scrambling around for anything to make yourself look more presentable for alex.
you quickly try fixing the mess that your hair was and apply a quick swipe of the red lipstick of yours that alex adored so much.
you threw on the first things you could find and decided you'd rather walk to his instead of driving, because all the thoughts you were thinking would not lead to a safe drive.
you showed up wearing his band's shirt and a leather jacket with spikes around the neck that almost resembled a collar.
he has to take a second to take all of you in.
he pulls you in by your waist and shuts the door behind you and gives your lips a quick peck.
"i've missed you, doll." he murmurs against your lips, "you always were my favourite from the lot."
he kisses you again, deeper this time, less sweetness and more desperation. teeth clashed, his slight stubble scratching your face, adding to the stimulation and making you hum into the kiss.
alex slips his hands from your waist to your ass, cupping the flesh and massaging it, also pushing your hips into his waist and grinding his cock into you. he pulls away, breathless.
"you know the drill. everythin' off, except that jacket. i expect you on all fours by the time i get to my room."
you open your mouth to retort but decide against it and tiptoe past him and run up to his bedroom. you get undressed and forget to put the jacket back on.
alex, still downstairs, fixed himself a drink and almost finished half of it before he was upstairs. his cock throbbing at the sight.
you were on all fours on his cozy, pristine bed, your back arched so perfectly.
"where's the jacket, doll?"
"'m sorry, al, i forgot."
alex discards his clothes slowly, leaving himself in his boxers. he crawls onto the bed and kneels in between your legs, his hands running up and down your back, pressing it into more of an arch.
"it's alright, angel," he presses a kiss to your soaked pussy from behind, "next time, hm?"
you grind against his face, trying to tell him what you need without irritating him. you hear him swear at himself before his tongue delves into your core, lapping at anything he can get. his fingers come to your front and play with your clit as he devours your dripping cunt. you feel that knot in your stomach threatening to snap as he pulls away, whining at him stopping so suddenly.
"al, please, i'm good, i need you, please—"
you moan excessively loudly when he pushes two fingers into your cunt with no prior warning, feeling your eyes rolling back into your head as his fingers thrust in and out of you, curling and hitting every spot you needed him to get to.
"what did i tell you about doubting me, sweet girl?", he asks sweetly as he spreads his fingers as far apart as he can, watching your hole gape as you scream out his name.
"never doubt you, al, never ever doubting you," you trail off as he continues his relentless movements.
alex suddenly stops all his movements, taking his hands away from you, licking his fingers clean.
"taste as good as you did the first time, doll, fuck, you're takin' me back."
alex's mind flickered back to tour, how despite you both considering your interactions as a rockstar and one of his groupies, there was something different. it wasn't just sex, at least, not to him. he constantly fantasized about taking you out, buying you anything you ever wanted and more, treating you the way you deserved.
but he wasn't sure if he deserved you at all.
he saw himself as a pathetic excuse of a man who thrives on the validation of strangers and crumbles with the slightest criticism, but that also led to him imagining how you'd comfort him in these moments of devastation.
but that wasn't important to him now, he couldn't care less.
"you ready?", he asks, finally freeing his cock, pumping it slightly while watching his pre-cum spill onto your ass and then aligning it with your aching pussy, running his tip through your folds.
"mm, yes, please, fuck—"
alex slides into you before you can finish speaking, your words turning into a choked moan. alex doesn't even hesitate and begins thrusting as fast as he can, jaw hanging open as your cunt squeezes him. his writer's block disappears, everything does. you're all he saw at that point and he didn't mind it at all.
you almost scream his name as he fucks into you with no hesitation, going as fast as he can.
"just as good as i remembered baby, god," alex groans as he runs his hands up your sides, grabbing onto your hair and tugging it so he has your back pressed against his chest. you actually scream this time, the stinging feeling of his cock stretching your cunt and the pure euphoria of the act being almost too much to handle. you throw your head back to rest on his shoulder as he keeps fucking into you, one of his hands slipping to your clit, playing with it as he littered your neck with kisses.
"takin' me like a champ, doll, so so good. perfect lil toy, aren't you? fuckin' soaked too."
his fervent thrusts get slower and sloppier as you squeeze around him. "fuck, al, 'm gonna cum, please," you beg mindlessly as he brings his other hand up to wrap around your throat, squeezing slightly as he nips at a spot under your ear.
"hm, not yet."
you whine in response, your moans getting louder and louder by the second.
"good girl, keep waiting for me, perfect lil slut," alex mutters as he slows down slightly, leaving small kisses of appreciation on your cheek as tears well in your eyes. he notices this and you can feel him twitch inside you as you tighten around him once more, unable to hold back any longer.
you scream out his name as your back arches against his chest, one of your hands flying to grasp at the back of his hair, pulling as you shake and moan until your voice is completely hoarse.
alex stills after you stop shaking and gives you a few seconds to compose yourself.
"you enjoy that? filthy fuckin' whore."
he pulls out of you roughly and flips you onto your back, almost instantly pushing his cock back into your sore cunt.
tears stream down your face as he bottoms out, you're desperate for him to stop and give your ruined pussy a break but at the same time, you can't stop yourself from wrapping your legs around his waist and trying to get him even closer. you dig your nails into alex's back as he pounds into you relentlessly, the sting of your nails scratching along his back making him hiss and go even faster.
alex's hands push your legs even further apart and he lifts them up onto his shoulders, his eyes fixated on the way he could see the outline of his cock filling you up.
"fuck, doll, you're gonna let me fill you up, aren't you? you gonna take it for me, baby?"
alex moves your hair out of your face as you nod pathetically, your eyes rolling into the back of your head. he dips his head down to take your nipple into his mouth and slows his thrusts to synchronize with tongue swirling around it, humming softly. he pulls off and latches onto your neck, his teeth clamping down slightly as he picks up his pace again, making you see stars as he fucks his cum as deep into you as possible.
alex collapses onto your chest, breathing heavily. he waits for a while before pulling out and looking at your ruined cunt, smiling as he sees the mixture of your cum and his seeping out of you.
"perfect, bunny, so gorgeous."
two of his fingers circle your aching hole once more and he pushes them into you until they only part of them he can see are his knuckles. he scissors his fingers and spits directly into you, pulling his fingers back out only to scoop up everything and push it back into you, he keeps playing with you like this until he's satisfied enough. he pulls his fingers out and taps on your lips with them and you open your mouth, sucking on them until they're clean.
"good girl, you did so well for me tonight."
he presses a gentle kiss to the space between your tits and moves upwards, leaving a kiss on your collarbone, your jaw, your cheek and finally kissing your lips.
kissing you feels liberating to him, it doesn't feel forced or purely driven by his need to fuck you. but there is something wrong.
"we can't keep doing this."
alex rested his chin on your chest and looked up at you as he spoke.
"we need to do this the right way, doll. i wanna take you out, do all that shit. let me have you, princess, please."
you open your mouth to respond but your voice barely comes out which makes you him laugh as you hide your face in his shoulder. he soothingly rubs your stomach as the laughter dies out and the silence takes over the room, alex doesn't feel awkward the way he normally would and his heart only feels lighter as he sees you nod with that smile he'd grown to adore.
"can't fuckin' wait."

OMGOMGOMGOGMO
FWB GHOST x FWB SOAP x FWB READER but soap and reader have never met and- and- EEK.
You had been friends with Simon for a little while. You met when your mothers went to pilates together years ago and they wanted to have a dinner together. You remember seeing him, he came back from a deployment and had his tactical gear on. Of course the skull balaclava caught your attention, and when his mom attempted to introduced you, he grumbled out a “ello” before going to his old bedroom.
You kept seeing him, whether it be at the grocery store, outside when you were taking a walk (and you met his dog, Riley), or even at the bar. You were tired, your toxic ex had just gotten engaged and you refused to believe you weren’t over him, so you resorted to cheap alcohol at the bar. Simon was on a nearby barstool, and one thing led to another. You found yourself in an alley, his tongue down his throat. You refused to allow him to take you right here, so you went to his flat, considering that he didn’t have much to drink.
That whole night was a blur. You remember his hot tongue on your clit, sucking and licking as you mewled. The feeling of his hand making you choke on his large and girthy cock, not allowing you to come back up for air until you had spit running down your chin. His slow thrusts into your tight pussy, but slowly turned into ruthless and quick thrusts. You remember the white hot ecstasy you felt when he came right after you had also reached your climax. And now, he wasn’t in the bed next to you. You watched as he came out the bathroom. “This isn’t gonna be anythin’ more. Either we cut this off now, or we fuck as friends.” He insisted, not even looking at you when he told you and rather went through his closet to get clothing. You agreed to just being friends with benefits, putting on your clothes, giving Riley a smooch before leaving. You walked to your own flat, which luckily wasn’t far, thinking “Friends with benefits is perfectly fine.” You were just out of a relationship, anyway. wouldn’t want to be starting anything new too quickly.
And that’s how it was. Hang out, fuck, part ways. You didn’t get to learn much about him. You could sense a weird feeling when you were at his house with your mom that one night. how protective Simon looked over his mother, and why his mom lived alone.
But when Simon’s brother got married, he invited you to Tommy’s wedding as his plus one. Claimed he didn’t have any other friends to invite, since all the soldiers he knew from the military were all busy or weren’t local. You had fun at that wedding, saw how happy Simon looked being his brother’s best man. His wife was pretty and nice, and Simon had revealed what happened with his brother after the wedding. His drug addiction.
So imagine how happy Simon is when he learns he’s gonna be an uncle. His brother, once at rock bottom, had picked himself up and even gotten to a part of his life where he would have his own family. He was proud. You remember Simon’s happiness when Joseph was born. His love for him. When he lost all of them, he was terribly depressed. Becoming Ghost, that was surprising to you. The Simon that had taken so long to open up had once again put his walls up.
The one thing that stayed were your hookups, however. It was fine, you convinced yourself. He’s hurting. He needs this.
But at one point, he..changed, seeming happier. He began to open up just a bit again, and it made you happy. But then one time when you were hooking up and he was balls deep into you, he let out a name.
“Jesus, Soap,” He grunted out.
You remained silent, and the heat of the moment was now awkward. “soap? Who is that?” You say after a long moment, and stare at him confused. He avoided the question, instead burying his face in your chest. You let it slide, wanting to reach your long needed orgasm before questioning him again. After you both came, he muttered out an answer after you bugged him a bit more. “Military friend.” he says. You don’t say anything more. You thought that YOU were the only friend that had benefits with him in his life. You weren’t supposed to be jealous, but Simon never even said your name during sex, let alone someone else’s. You left the next morning, hateful thoughts of this “Soap” going through your mind. She had better had been more pretty and better at sex than you.
This wasn’t the first time that he would say her name. And one too many times pushed you off the edge. Telling him to stop calling you that. He got angry, “stop bein’ clingy. I can fuck whoever I want.” He spat out harshly. You stayed silent. and you noticed how little he wanted to hang with you now. Only for hookups now, you guessed, because everytime you hooked up it was always follow by sex, when before it was just a hangout then sex every once in a while.
You ended it when he ditched you for that “Soap” girl. Your toxic ex treated you like shit, so you sure as hell weren’t going to let the guy you had been good friends with for years treat you like this. You insisted that you still could be friends, but he grumbled out some response before leaving you in your bed.
He barely contacted you, now. You had made it awkward, you convinced yourself. He hates you now. The only person that was there when his family suffered turned against him. You felt insane, both furious and sorrowful at him. but you were furious at Soap, some girl that you didn’t even know. You hated feeling like this; you knew it wasn’t her fault, and you hated those scenarios where a girl found out her boyfriend was cheating on her and got revenge on the girl that he cheated with.
You went out to a bar, one that was much farther than the one you usually went to. Didn’t want to run into Simon. But what you didn’t expect was spotting a athletic man with beautiful ocean eyes and a few scars marking his face, one through his eyebrow, another going into the shaved part of his messy mohawk, and one that ran across his jaw. Introuced himself as Johnny. He talked up a storm, making your heart race as you laughed whenever he called you “lass” or “bonnie” in his sexy Scottish accent. getting deja vu, you went home with him similar to the first time hooking up with Simon. But after Johnny ate you out for half an hour like a starved man and made slow, deep thrusts into you, rubbing circles into your clit, you laid on his chest. And of course, you noticed his cross necklace and the dog tag, labeled ‘Johnny “Soap” MacTavish’.
Shit.
Holy fucking shit.
(sorry for any inaccuracies lol it’s 1am im tired but had to get this out)

Chapter 18 - Uncontainable
When you stormed away from Luke back towards the cabin, the raised voice coming from inside stopped you in your tracks as you reached the front porch. All your years of FBI training kicked in at that moment and you slowly and cautiously crept to the window.
The first thing you saw was a wave of bright red hair flashing before your eyes as the person it belonged to moved frantically back and forth. But it soon became clear she wasn’t moving of her own accord.
Spencer, who was only wearing a pair of underwear, shook her by her wrist somewhat violently, yelling in her face.
“Listen you little bitch, do you have any idea how many people are actually assaulted every day? How many don’t report it because they’re scared they won’t be believed? And you want to use their real pain for your own sick gain?”
You frowned at his words, trying to deduce what they were arguing about whilst also making sure you didn’t make a sound.
“You know you’re not helping yourself right? If you bruise me it’ll only make my story seem more believable.” Mary spat back at him and you saw Spencer quickly let her go. “And don’t think I haven’t seen the bruises on your lovely wife. I’m sure she would back up my story.”
Story? What story? Was she exploiting Spencer? Had Luke told her who you really were and now she was trying to blackmail him? He said something about unreported assaults, was she going to tell people he assaulted her?
“The only story she would back up is the one where you’re a desperate little whore who shamelessly wanted to fuck a man you perceived to married.” He barked at her.
“Well I guess we’ll see won’t we? Who’s going to believe the strange out of towner over the young, innocent girl.”
That was all you needed to hear. You could put an end to this, clear up this mess before it got out of hand.
You crept around the side of the cabin and let yourself in the back gate. You made sure to walk silently up the spiral staircase that led to the first floor patio and thank god you’d been too drunk to think about locking the bedroom doors last night.
You snuck inside and quickly found the SIG in Spencer’s nightstand. You’d done this so many times before, sneaking up on an unsub, it was like second nature. Breathe through your nose, steady, shallow breaths. Feet barely ghosting the floor. Do not make a sound. Keep the gun pointing straight ahead.
You silently made it down the stairs and you heard her voice again as you reached the kitchen door.
“I told you I want out of this town. I work three jobs and I am nowhere close to having enough. Finding out your little secret is the best thing that could have happened to me. So if you don’t give me what I want, I will disgrace the former FBI agent Spencer Reid and tell everyone that you raped me. Ten grand should do it.”
You could feel the anger rolling off of Spencer in waves before you even entered the room. He would see you the second you stepped inside and you had to hope he could control his facial expressions long enough so Mary wouldn’t see you coming.
“Let’s just talk about this, please?” He was begging her as you slowly pushed open the door. His eyes flicked over toward you and you couldn’t tell what he was thinking.
“No, no more talking. You pay me now or I will go straight to the cops.”
You cocked the gun and if she heard it, it would have been too late. You aimed at the back of her head and pulled the trigger without hesitation. The sound of the gunshot rang out through the room as the bullet hit its target and continued careening out the front of her skull towards the wall.
She made a pathetic gasping sound as her body crumbled to the floor right at Spencer’s feet. The shock was written all across his face as he looked up at you, still holding the smoking gun in your hand.
You tucked it in your waistband and strolled closer to Spencer whose mouth was hanging open and wide eyes glared at you in a stupor.
“W-what did you…? Why did you?” He croaked out as you stepped closer, not a single hint of remorse in your eyes.
“Karma’s a bitch.” You shrugged simply. “And so was she.”
“Are you insane?” He yelled in exasperation. “We don’t kill close to home! How are we supposed to talk our way out of this?”
Her blood was splattered across his bare torso and arms, but he didn’t seem to notice, his frustration taking precedence.
“She was threatening you! What was I supposed to do? Let her tell the whole town you raper her? Or let you fork over all of our cash to keep her quiet?” You glared at him.
“Fuck, Y/N, this is bad.” He scratched his head, trying to formulate a plan. “We need to clean this up. We need to make sure every inch of this cabin is as clean as when we found it. We need to get her body in the trunk of the car, we need to dispose of it, and then we need to leave town.”
“Leave town? That will only make us look more guilty.” You scoffed.
“By the time they figure out she’s missing we will be so far away from here, they will never find us. And with any luck the freaking BAU won’t find us again either!” He spat.
You rolled your lip between your teeth and took a step back.
“You know that Luke was here.” You looked guilty.
“Yes, Y/N I do. Fuck, this is falling apart like a house of goddamn cards.”
“I’m…I'm sorry.” You swallowed thickly, your previous bravado fading around you. “I’m so sorry.”
“Hey, hey. It’s ok.” He stepped around Mary’s body closer to you, suddenly softening. “You were trying to help.”
He cupped your cheek in his hand and held you so gently you could cry. He looked at you as though you hung the moon, his love for you so painfully clear at that moment.
“I fucked up, Spence.” Your bottom lip quivered.
“And we’ll fix it. Together, ok? We’re in this together, sweetheart. I promise you we will figure this out.” He leant closer to you and pressed his lips to yours.
You believed him, you had no reason not to. If anyone was going to be able to set this right it was Spencer. When the two of you worked together, it was some kind of magic. With Spencer on your side this didn’t seem quite as daunting as it actually was.
***
Luke’s cell phone rang as he was letting himself back into the hire car. He grinded his teeth, not particularly wanting to talk to anyone right now.
His encounter with you had left him with a bitter taste in his mouth. He knew there was something bigger at play here, he knew Spencer had done something, he just had no idea how to prove it.
He slid into the driver's seat and pulled his phone from his pocket, brows furrowing instantly when he saw the name on the display. He gnawed his bottom lip and answered it, placing the device to his ear.
“Phil?” He ran his fingers over his stubble.
“Hey man,” Phil’s voice lacked its usual bounce and under normal circumstances Luke would have asked what was wrong but it was the least of his concerns right now.
“I’m sorry now really isn’t a good time.” Luke slotted the key in the ignition but didn’t start the engine.
“I really need to talk to you.”
“I’m up to my eyes in a case, I’ll call as soon I’m-”
“It’s about Duncan Green.” Phil cut him off.
Luke’s hand that was still on the key fell to his lap as his blood froze in his veins. It had been several years since he’d last heard that name but it didn’t make it any less sinister.
“I’m sorry, what?” Luke leant back against the chair, gaze somewhere out of the window but not focused on anything. He could feel every erratic beat of his heart.
“A body was found in a shallow grave in the Rio Grande National Forest in Colorado. We got a call after local cops got a match to his prints.” Phil’s tone was morose, not at all how Luke expected him to react to this.
“He’s dead?” Luke wanted to jump for joy but he put the party on hold. He could tell there was something Phil wasn’t saying.
“Had his throat cut. He’s been living in Albuquerque under the assumed name of Matthew Richards since his escape from prison.”
Luke closed his eyes, holding the phone in a vice like grip. Green had been murdered, his body found in Colorado. He took a deep breath and tried to keep his cool, at least for the time being.
“Is it a coincidence or do you think someone tracked him down?” Luke kept his eyes squeezed tightly shut.
“I don’t believe in coincidences. The bureau still has sightings of him come in everyday but you know we can’t check out every lead, it would be impossible. But the Green case was accessed just a few weeks ago and again a week ago by the same government login details.” Phil’s voice sounded even more sullen.
“Who’s were they?” Luke held his breath, already having a pretty good idea of what he might say.
“L. Alvez.” Phil sighed as he spoke.
Luke opened his eyes, slamming his hand violently against the steering wheel and letting out an animalistic groan.
“Fuck.” He spat, slamming the wheel again. “Fuck, fuck, fuck!”
“I can only assume it wasn’t you?”
“Of course it wasn’t me!” Luke spat, pinching the bridge of his nose firmly between his fingers.
There were only two people who he could think of that would have accessed that file. You knew him well enough to assume his login password, like it wouldn’t be hard for him to guess yours. And Spencer was a goddamn genius and it wouldn’t be at all difficult for him to figure it out.
He had a post it note on his desk at work, hidden under his keyboard with his password scrawled on it, even though he knew it was dumb to do so. Realistically anyone at the BAU could have found it and logged onto the database as him but you and Spencer were the only ones who had the motive to do so.
Green killed your sister, it wasn’t a far stretch to think you would have wanted him dead. And if Spencer was really in love with you, maybe he’d do just about anything for you, including finding the monster who ruined your life.
He took a few deep breaths to try and compose himself before he spoke again.
“How far is the National Forest from Crested Butte?” He grumbled, still pinching his nose.
“Uh, why?” Phil’s tone was riddled with confusion.
“Just look, please?”
“Fine, let me check.” Phil started tapping away at a keyboard for a moment or two before he spoke again. “About one hundred and sixty miles south, give or take.”
“Goddamnit.” Luke hit the steering wheel again.
“You gonna fill me in on what angle you’re working here, Alvez?”
“I…no not yet.” Luke shook his head. “I gotta go.”
“Alvez, tell me what you’re thinking.” Phil remained calm.
“I can’t. Not yet. I need to piece this together first.”
“I can help you.”
“No, you can’t. I’ll call you later.” Luke quickly pulled the phone away from his ear and hung up, smacking the wheel several more times. “God-fucking-damnit Y/N, what have you done?”
Suddenly he grabbed the keys back out of the ignition and was hurling himself onto the street and marching in the direction of your cabin.
***
Spencer closed every single one of the curtains on the house just to be sure. He wiped the residual blood off his torso, he’d shower properly later as he was bound to get dirty again, and threw on a pair of jeans and a hoodie, foregoing a shirt.
While he was busy doing that, you laid out garbage bags and wrapped Mary’s dead body in them, sealing every inch to ensure no more unnecessary blood leaked out. You dragged her dead weight through to the kitchen, on your way towards the back door when there was a sudden and rampant knocking at the door.
You froze in your tracks just as Spencer appeared at the top of the stairs. He looked at you, now covered in Mary’s blood after wrapping her up. He slowly padded downstairs, as quietly as possible in the hopes whoever was at the door would think you were out.
But then they knocked again.
“Y/N, I know you’re in there! Open the door!” Luke’s voice carried through to you both.
“Shit.” You hissed, ducking below the kitchen counter even though the curtains were drawn.
“He’s not gonna leave easily.” Spencer sighed, looking down at himself to ensure there was no visible blood. “You stay here, it’s about time Luke and I had it out anyway.”
“Spencer, there’s a blood pool in the middle of the room and a fucking bullet in the wall!” You reminded him, glaring at him from the floor where Mary’s trash bag covered body was laying next to you.
“Shit,” he groaned. “You’re right. If I open the door he might try and force his way in.”
“Y/N! Open this goddamn door!” Luke yelled louder this time.
“I’ll go round back, it might look suspicious but it’s better than the alternative.” He nodded to himself. “Stay here and don’t make a sound.”
“Spencer!” You whined, halting him in his tracks. “I’m scared.”
He rolled his lip between his teeth and moved closer to you, dropping to his knees next to you and cupping your face.
“I’m going to take care of it sweetheart. I promise you, everything is going to be ok.” He placed a chaste kiss on your forehead before standing back up and you watched him stroll out of the kitchen towards the back door.
You whimpered a little when Luke knocked again, heavier and angrier than before. You held your breath, moving to a sitting position on the kitchen floor and drawing your legs up to your chest and leaning back against the cupboard.
Spencer marched through the garden and out of the side gate, ready to face Luke for hopefully the final time.
“Y/N open the fucking door! I’m not going anywhere until you talk to me!” Luke slammed his palms against the door just as Spencer was rounding the house and stopped at the bottom of the porch steps.
“You’re gonna be here a long time then.” He folded his arms across his chest and he saw Luke tense at the sound of his voice.
Slowly, the older man turned to face him, hands going to his hips and squaring his shoulders.
“Where is she?” Luke spat.
“That's none of your concern.” Spencer kept his cool, he needed to keep his anger bottled up if he was going to get through his encounter.
“She’s my friend.” He folded his arms too.
“But she’s my wife.” Spencer smirked, unfolding his own arms and proffering his ring finger toward Luke.
“You and I both know that’s not real.” Luke scoffed.
“It’s a symbol, Alvez. She loves me and who knows, maybe one day we’ll make it real. So stop chasing her down like a pathetic love struck puppy. She doesn’t want you, man, deal with it.” Spencer shrugged, offering him a slightly sympathetic smile.
“You think that’s what this is about? You think I came all this way because I want to win her heart? We’re not in high school, Reid.” He rolled his eyes.
“I think you’re jealous and you’re concocting scenarios in your head as a way of making yourself feel better when the truth is, Y/N and I just wanted to get away from it all. From you all. Do us a favour and leave us alone, Alvez. We don’t need you chasing after us.” Spencer spat as Luke headed down the front steps towards him.
“So it’s just a coincidence that Duncan Green turned up dead in the same state you and Y/N decided to call home?”
Spencer’s breath caught in his throat. It felt like a trap, he needed to pick his words very carefully. He made sure to keep his expression unchanged, didn’t even so much as blink at Luke’s words but inside he was panicking.
Just take a breath. Calm down. Don’t rise to it.
“Who?” Spencer hid the recognition from his face, but Luke still saw through it.
“Don’t play dumb, Reid. It doesn’t suit you.” Luke rolled his eyes. “Duncan Green, the man who killed Y/N’s sister, who broke out of prison and who we were chasing at the FTF for years. He was found with his throat cut less than two hundred miles from here and my user was the last to look him up. All seems a little coincidental doesn’t it?”
“Right, yeah Y/N has told me about him. What are you implying, Alvez?” Spencer cocked his eyebrow. “You think, what? I killed him? Oh come on, do you really believe I’m capable of something like that?”
“The thing is, I’m not sure what you’re capable of. I thought I knew you both but I’m not so sure anymore.” Luke shook his head. “Some twenty two year old told me you were sleeping with her. Some diner guy told me Y/N said you were a bully. Hell, the guy at the used car lot thought she was scared of you! All that makes me think that maybe I never really knew you.”
Don’t let him break you, Reid, do not give him anything.
“Luke with all due respect, why are listening to these morons over me? You do know me, and you know I’m not capable of killing someone.”
Luke’s expression faltered and Spencer breathed a small sigh of relief, seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. He just had to stick the landing, don’t fumble it at the last hurdle.
“I really don’t know what to think, Spencer. Of course I don’t want to believe you’re capable of something like this but there are just so many things that don’t add up here. And I swear to god if you did kill Green and you’ve put Y/N in danger, I will make it my life’s work to put you back in prison for the rest of your life.” Luke spat, his expression one Spencer had seen him use many times in interrogations.
Spencer took a step back as a smirk twitched at his lips. He shrugged his shoulders at Luke.
“You’re not as intimidating as you think you are, Alvez. And I can promise you, if I had done something, you would never get me back inside a prison cell.” He took a few more steps back and stuffed his hands into his pockets. “Now if you’d kindly get the hell out of here and leave us alone.”
Spencer turned on his heels and started back towards the side gate. He thought Luke might have more to say, he heard the other man grunting in frustration behind him, like he wanted to speak but couldn’t find the words.
He threw open the gate and bolted it behind him, not slowing as he traversed the backyard and made his way inside the cabin, locking the back door behind him. He found you more or less where he left you, cowering on the kitchen floor next to the garbage bag stuffed with Mary’s corpse.
You looked up at him, bottom lip quivering as you hugged your legs to your chest. It was such a strange juxtaposition to see you so frightened when you hadn’t hesitated in pulling the trigger and killing Mary not so long ago.
Spencer slid down to the floor next to you, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and you instinctively rested your head on him. He could hear your erratic breaths as you snuggled against him.
“Is he gone?” You whispered.
“Not yet. I’d kill him with my bare hands if I didn’t still respect him so damn much.” Spencer sighed.
“I would never forgive you if you killed Luke.” You raised your head and looked at him.
“I know, sweetheart. And I wouldn’t do that to you. But jeez he’s a pain in the ass.” He used his free hand to cup your face delicately and his fingertips brushed lightly over your cheek. “He knows about Green.”
Your face paled, colour completely draining from your skin as you stared at him in horror.
“He…what?” You swallowed.
“I didn’t get the full story but I guess they found his body. There is nothing that can tie us to him, Y/N. We were careful.” He tried to insist.
Apart from the fact I used Luke’s credentials to track him, he decided against saying out loud.
“What happens now, Spence?”
“We have to wait him out, he won’t stay out there forever. Once it’s dark we have to get rid of the body, clean up this house and we have to get the fuck out of this town before anyone realises she’s missing.”
“I like it here.” You sighed sadly.
He could have pointed out the fact that if it weren’t for you being so trigger happy then you wouldn’t have to leave. Not so long ago, he would have pointed that out. He would have gotten angry, blamed you for this, for Mary’s death, for Luke showing up here and for the BAU being on your asses. But something had changed in Spencer.
It was entirely plausible that his time in prison had caused a break in his psyche. The PTSD that he’d left untreated for so long had manifested itself in the form of a second persona, much more dark and evil than himself. When he found his anger rising, he switched into this alter ego without meaning to, maybe because Spencer had never been good at dealing with anger or emotions in general.
His alter allowed him to stand up for himself, to deal with that residual trauma and not bottle it all up like he’d been doing his entire life. You’d told him he was like Jekyll and Hyde and you were right.
But he was learning that the love he felt for you, that swarmed through every inch of his body was what could tether him. If he focused only on that love and not on the rage, he could keep the monster at bay. Best case scenario, he may never need to kill again, but really he’d just settle for not ever having to make you scared of him again.
He wanted to be the man you needed him to be. None of this hassle was worth it if he didn’t have you at his side at the end of the day. You were worth not giving over to his demons for, you were the only thing that mattered in his completely fucked up existence.
He knew if it came down to it he would take the wrap for everything, Green, Mary and Jason Durand included. He would not let you go down for any of this. He was going to the ends of the Earth to protect you no matter what. He loved you so much, it was the least he could do. He just hoped it wouldn’t come to that.
“I know sweetheart, but I’ll find you a new Stars Hollow, I promise.” He kissed your forehead.
“Won’t they just come for us again? They’re going to keep coming for us, Spencer.” You chewed on your lip.
“We have to be extra careful this time. We have to figure out a plan, we can’t use the Nissan anymore, not now the team knows about it. And our aliases are blown. Fuck, I don’t know what we’re going to do.” He confessed, letting go of your face so he could pinch the bridge or his nose.
A smile tugged at your lips which caused Spencer to frown at you.
“Good job I’m always prepared. I was a fugitive hunter, Spencer, we don’t leave anything to chance.” You sat back and reached into the pocket of your jeans, pulling out four similar rectangular cards which you handed over to him. “I think through every eventuality. The BAU have no idea what they’re dealing with.”
Spencer looked on in awe at the four driving licences in his hand. Two bore your photograph and two his. There was one matching set of Arizona issued licences for Samuel and Violet Truman and another set of Florida licences for Jack and Lily Waters. He glanced up at you with a curious expression on his face.
“Samuel and Violet will buy themselves a little car to go on their American road trip. Meanwhile, Jack and Lily will be checking into motels along their way.” You smiled mischievously at him Spencer’s own smile grew. He had never loved you more than he did at that moment.
“Good god woman, you’re an evil genius.” He pulled you close and kissed you hard. “If we make it out of this, remind me to marry you for real one day.”
You giggled against his lips, both of you completely forgetting the imminent danger you could be in, ignoring the dead body by your side and Luke still skulking around outside.
“We’ll be ok right, Spence? If we leave this place, we’ll find somewhere new and they won’t find us. We’re gonna be ok, aren’t we?” You needed to hear him say it.
“We're going to be just fine, sweetheart. We’re going to take care of this mess and we’re not looking back, only forward. They can’t curb us like they want to. They don’t get us. It’s you and me.”
“You and me.” You repeated. “We’re uncontainable.”
Hey,
we're takin' our crown, we're takin' it now, yeah.
Hey, we never look back,
We're uncontainable!
Woo!
(Are you ready? Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls for the main event.
Ha-ha, they aren't ready for this one! Yeah, here we are!)
Comin' out the gate I'm swinging,
And if you're in my way you'll feel it.
I hear you think you're tough,
So put your hands up,
We never back down from a fight.
So lemme ask ya,
Can they stop us?
(No!)
Break us?
(No!)
Get your game face on,
We're against the ropes!
Tap out?
(No!)
Throw in the towel?
(Hell no!)
'Cause when the bell goes off the gloves do too.
Hey, we're takin' our crown, we're takin' it now, yeah.
Hey, we never look back,
We're uncontainable!
Hey, we're takin' our crown, we're takin' it now, yeah.
Hey, we never look back,
We're uncontainable!
Throwin' off the chains,
I'm runnin'.
You think you're at the top,
You're fallin.
Swing and miss you're through,
You're out of the loop,
We're gonna bury you alive.
So lemme ask ya,
Can they stop us?
(No!)
Break us?
(No!)
Get your game face on,
We're against the ropes!
Tap out?
(No!)
Throw in the towel?
(Hell no!)
'Cause when the bell goes off the gloves do too.
Hey, we're takin' our crown we're takin' it now, yeah.
Hey, we never look back?
We're uncontainable!
Hey, we're takin' our crown, we're takin' it now, yeah.
Hey, we never look back?
We're uncontainable!
Keep swingin', keep dreamin',
But you'll never knock me out.
I've fallen too often,
But you'll never keep me down.
You see it, you feel it,
Your mama can't save you now.
One day they'll say,
The throne was made for me.
Yeah,
Uncontainable.
(Is he?)
We're uncontainable.
Hey, we're takin' our crown we're takin' it now, yeah.
Hey, we never look back,
We're uncontainable!
Hey, we're takin' our crown, we're takin' it now, yeah.
Hey, we never look back,
We're uncontainable!
Stop us?
(No!)
Break us?
(No!)
Get your game face on,
We're against the ropes!
Tap out?
(No!)
Throw in the towel?
(Hell no!)
Never look back,
We're uncontainable.

Evil Woman Sees (Big) Red Pairing: Eddie Munson x You Summary: Remember in I Touched Banana Bubblicious For You, when Evil Woman had to get gum out of Eddie's hair? Again? Well… what if she found the person responsible? Contains: A rage blackout, emotions, tears, violence, protecting Eddie Munson at all costs, consequences that are totally worth it. Words: 1k
Tumblr media
No male teacher has ever denied a bathroom pass to a female student after she says two magic words: "Lady Problems."
You'd used this bit of witchcraft on Mr. Williams a few minutes ago, and decided to use your untimed break to check on a certain crazy-haired metalhead who meant the world to you.
You leaned against the lockers across the hall from Eddie's classroom and angled yourself so you could see him through the thin pane of glass in the door. He'd been stressing about this test all week, but by the look of him, he was doing just fine. He was so focused, he didn't even notice you were there. He was fully in the zone; eyes darting from test to scantron sheet with purpose, tongue sticking out of the corner of his mouth while he filled in the bubbles with the freshly sharpened #2 pencil you'd presented him with this morning. You know he's got this one.
A movement behind him catches your eye. It's Kimmy Little, reaching across the aisle to pass a note. One of those girls who had everything: popularity, good grades, new car, the body and style every magazine told teenage girls they should aspire to. She's practically perfect in every way. And she makes you sick.
No, not a note. A piece of gum. How thrilling. She unwraps it and pops it in her glossy little mouth and chews with her whole jaw. Like a cow chewing her cud. Wonder what Tiger Beat would say about this?
Your focus returns to Eddie. Looks like he's done and double-checking his work. He hadn't cared enough to do that last year. Or the year before. You smile, knowing he's really trying this time, because he wants to graduate with you. He gathers his papers to take them to the teacher's desk, and you see Kimmy lean forward and extract a wad of red gum from her mouth. When Eddie gets up, she makes her move.
That's how they're doing it. They wait until he moves so he doesn't notice the sudden weight of the gum they've planted in his hair.
She and the girl next to her shake with silent giggles as Eddie walks to the front of the classroom to turn his test in.
With gum in his fucking hair.

"HEY!"
A yell. Muffled. Ears ringing.
Something squeezing you. Arms?
The arms are dragging you backward.
Instinct tells you to fight it.
You twist. Kick. Boots leave black streaks on the white classroom floor. Your gaze follows the streaks until they turn into… is that blood?
You stop struggling.
Kimmy Little is curled into the fetal position on the floor. Her arms shield her face. Blood speckles the tile around her head and the white sleeves of her otherwise spotless sweater.
The arms aren't dragging you anymore. They push you forward. Help you stand. You're wobbly. Is there something wrong with your legs? You look down to check, and see red on your knuckles.
Oh, fuck.
All of the noise comes rushing at you at once. People are yelling. Kimmy is screaming. You look around the room. The desks near Kimmy are vacant; there's a huddle of students who'd vacated them in the back. People on the far side of the room are standing on chairs and desks for a better view. You try to turn, and the arms holding you give you enough slack to move, but not to be free.
You turn and stare into Eddie's wide eyes.
You feel the adrenaline drain from your body, and suddenly find it hard to breathe.
"OUT! NOW!" Eddie's teacher screams. She points to the door with her classroom phone. Probably calling for help. The cord bounces on the desk.
Eddie drags you from the room without a word. You stumble, but don't fight him. He pulls you into the bathroom around the corner and spins you around to face him.
His hands hold your shoulders. You stare at the Hellfire logo on his shirt and try to focus on breathing. Why is it so hard? Eddie's hands cup your face and lift your chin so you have to look at him.
"What the fuck just happened?" he asks. And then you remember.
A sob escapes from your throat, and he pulls you close. You wrap your arms around him and cry into his shirt. What have you done?
Eddie holds you and absentmindedly rubs your back for a while, until you're able to choke out: "It's not fair."
"What's not fair?"
"The way people fucking treat you."
"What do you mean?" he mumbles against your temple.
You look up through teary eyes and reach for his hair. You pull the matted pile containing gum outward and nod toward the mirror. He glances toward his reflection, and then back to you.
"You tried to kill a girl for putting gum in my hair?"
"I wasn't trying to kill her," you whisper. "Just wanted to smack her around a little… I think?"
Eddie snorts, and pulls you back into his chest.
"It's not fair," you repeat.
"I'm used to it," he says quietly, hands drifting up and down your back. You melt into him and sniffle.
"You shouldn't have to be."
He kisses the top of your head. He may have accepted his fate as the freak everyone loves to hate, but that doesn't mean you're done fighting for him.
"Bet those bitches'll think twice about sticking gum in your hair again," you mumble into his chest. Eddie chuckles, and you hold him tighter.
"I love you," he says.
"I love you, too."
You look up at him and wonder how anyone could be so cruel to someone like Eddie Munson. Why are you the only person who can see how amazing he is?
"YOU TWO."
You whirl around and see Principal Higgins standing in the doorway of the bathroom. You fight the urge to shrink into Eddie's side.
"My office. Now."
You scored a 5-day vacation and 2 weeks of detention.
But you never had to extract gum from Eddie Munson's hair ever again.
(Well, aside from the time he laughed so hard, he spat his own gum into his hair. He's so talented. Dreamy sigh.)

He Came From Hawkins
The day Steve Harrington's afterlife changed forever.
Ghost!Steve Harrington x Witch!Reader
Series Masterlist
750 words
Tumblr media
The patter of rain against your bedroom window lulls you as you sit in front of an unorganised stack of books, the rug underneath you tickling at your thighs. You’d come upstairs looking for a particular book. One of your oral histories of the music scene in New York, but you can’t remember which, or even particularly why and now you think you might just take a mid-morning snooze.
Not an actual nap, just a moment or an hour to close your eyes and listen to the rain. You’re just about to get up from the floor, the soft cotton of your sheets calling you when you hear a noise downstairs.
It sounded like a voice, deep and confused.
Your front door is unlocked; there are no threats in your witch’s coven up in the mountains, but it wasn’t common for any of your sisters to come in uninvited. Everyone knew you valued your privacy. An introvert who wasn't always up for company.
You make your way downstairs, the wood creaking under your light steps as you descend slowly.
“Uh, hello?”
“Jesus fucking christ.” You stumble clutching at your heart that’s rapidly increased in pace. A young man is standing in your living room. “Wh–who are you?”
“Steve Harrington.” The boy reaches his hand out as if offering to shake yours before faltering and placing it back in his pocket. “I think I’m in the wrong place.”
“No shit.” You take him in, this boy who allegedly broke into a witch’s house in the middle of a well-established, secret coven. Your eyes flick from the moles on his exposed neck, the perfect quaff of his thick hair and widened hazel eyes, finally noticing the slight translucency to his form as he stands before you. “Oh, you’re a–“
“Ghost? Yeah.” He holds up a hand, face squinting as if to say what are you gonna do about it? “I was supposed to be like moving on to whatever comes next I guess.” He scratches his jaw, “I was just in this trailer back in Hawkins, saying goodbye. This witch, a good witch, was helping me say goodbye–and now I’m here.” He looks around your house. “This isn’t it is it? Like, the afterlife?” His eyes fall back on you, giving you a once over before smirking, “Not that I’m complaining, it’s just not what I expected.”
“No, you’re still in the land of the living…kind of.”
He nods, taking you in again, “You don’t look that shocked.”
Your shoulder shifts in a slight shrug, face showing little emotion, “I’m a witch too.”
“Oh, cool.” He smiles wide, a sureness in his features that prickles at your skin. “Do you know why I’m here?”
“No,” you shake your head, and he bites his lip. “I don’t see what business you could have here I’ve been borrowing this land for eight hundred years.”
“Right, well I just died last week so…where are we?” He looks around again, trying to get a glimpse of any recognisable landmarks outside of your window.
“Uh, Catskills.”
“Never been.” He frowns.
“Right.”
The ghost of Steve Harrington didn’t leave that morning, or the next. He wasn’t sure where he was supposed to go so, he stayed.
It was weird, even for a witch familiar with the unexplainable nature of the world. You didn’t really know how to help him, your experience of communing with spirits lacking. Steve said he didn’t mind. Told you with that disarming smile of his that he’d just hang out until he figured out what to do.
So, he did. He hung out.
He hung out while you pottered about your house, cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, reading by the window with the afternoon light. He hung out as you cooked dinner and settled in front of your staticky TV in the evenings. He hung out as you watered your garden, looking on from the window as you nervously smiled at fellow coven members passing by, his gaze burning the back of your neck.
The ghost of Steve Harrington wasn’t leaving. In fact, he seemed pretty settled, growing in confidence every day with the amount he stared at you, unabashedly and with a smirk that made your body tense.
“Is there a problem?” You didn’t have to look up from the book you were reading to know he was doing it again.
“No. Just admiring the view.”
You shake your head, hiding your fluster with a look of agitation, “Any closer to figuring out your next move?”
“Nope.”
You bite your lip at the evident smile in his voice. “Great.”

I'll Love You 'til the Grass Around My Gravestone is Deceased

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN (see full series list here)
Tumblr media
1993
"Alright, guys, have a good evening," you say to your fourth-years as they pick up their bags and start to head for the exit. You've just started to pack up your own things and head down to your room when there's a voice behind you.
"Uh, Professor?"
You turn, finding Harry standing there. You smile and nod at him and he pulls a scrap of parchment out of his pocket, holding it out to you.
He glances at his classmates leaving, some of which look back at him curiously. "One of the other teachers told me to give this to you."
That's odd. Usually the teachers would just send it themselves.
You take it anyway. "Thanks, Harry. Have a good night."
He leaves, catching up Ron and Hermione who had been waiting for him, and you lean back against your desk, unfolding the parchment.
Your heart leaps when you recognise the messy, sprawled handwriting.
My love,
I'm flying north immediately. Harry told me about his scar, I presume he told you too, and I have heard far too many strange rumours to ignore it. I need to talk to you and Harry.
I miss you so much it hurts. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of you. Please stay safe and I'll be in touch soon. Remember how much I love you.
Yours,
Sirius
What about Harry's scar? He didn't tell you anything. So much for your whole getting-your godson-to-trust-and-confide-in-you plan.
You can practically hear Sirius' voice dripping from the page. The letter is short and looks rushed, he must've been in quite a hurry. Your stomach constricts with worry — he's completely putting himself in danger by coming here.
Whatever Harry told him, it clearly worried Sirius. Worried him enough to risk his safety to come north just to speak to Harry. And to you, too.
You ought to ask Harry what this is all about.
You read over the letter a few more times, a smile on your face, before you tidy up and start down the stairs, heading for bed.
The next morning, you wake bright and early, hoping to catch Harry at morning breakfast. To your luck, you do. He's sitting at the Gryffindor table with Ron and Hermione. As you approach, you notice him having heated words with Hermione, but they suddenly stop when they see you.
"Morning," you greet. "Harry, can I speak to you when you're finished? If you have time before your first class, of course."
He nods, immediately standing up, exchanging wary glances with his friends.
"You're not in trouble, Harry. You look like you're expecting me to expel you or something," you reassure with a chuckle and he loosens up slightly, following you out of the Hall. You lead him down the corridor until you find one that's empty and where you won't be heard.
Involuntarily, your eyes flick up to Harry's scar, and he notices, pulling his hair down to cover it up.
You sigh, lowering your voice. "Harry, that letter you gave me last night...Sirius said he's coming north because of something to do with your scar. What happened?"
Harry glances away from you, shrugging, before putting on an awkward smile. "Oh, it was nothing, really. I just, er, imagined it was hurting...bit stupid now, to be honest."
Your eyes widen. "Your scar was hurting?"
"Like I said, I imagined it — "
"An unlikely thing to imagine, Harry," you tut, unimpressed. You think for a moment, racking your brains as to what could have possibly caused a scar to be painful. "And it was just out of the blue? There was nothing that could have caused it?"
Harry blinks at you.
"Yup, very random."
He's lying. It's as plain to you as the nose on his face. "I'm not that thick, Harry, I can tell you're lying."
His eyes widen, like he didn't expect you to call him out on his lie and he raises his hands yo in defense. "Honestly, you don't have to worry about me. And Sirius doesn't have to either, it's nothing really. Honest."
You just sigh, shaking your head and shrugging. "I'll worry about you regardless, Harry, for as long as you have to go to Professor Snape's classes. And, y'know, 'cause it's my job. Sirius and I will always worry about you." You shuffle on your feet, thinking of what you should do. "But...if you're really that unwilling to tell me, I'll let you off. Just — just tell me everything you hear from him, won't you? Who knows what that fool will do next..."
Harry chuckles, nodding.
"Alright, off you go. Time for class," you say, glancing down at your watch. You pat his shoulder and he hurries off back to the Hall to find Ron and Hermione.
✧*。✧*。
You find yourself standing outside the castle, watching as students file down into the courtyard in single-file lines. Minerva leads her Gryffindors, throwing orders out left, right and centre.
"Weasley, straighten your hat," she barks at Ron. "Miss Patil, take that ridiculous thing out of your hair."
Parvati Patil scowls and removes a large ornamental butterfly from the end of her plait. Aw. You thought it was pretty.
All the students are shivering, shifting from foot to foot in anticipation as they await the arrival of the students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Minerva makes her way over to you, still casting a watchful eye over her house.
"I wish they would hurry up," she says quietly to you. "I fear Colin Creevey will not be able to stay still for too much longer."
You glance past her at Colin, who is practically shaking with excitement. He keeps glancing back at Harry behind him, grinning widely. Colin is quite a sweet lad, actually. He's very keen to learn and you like that about him. He's very enthusiastic in your class, even if he does have trouble discerning between Astronomy and Astrology.
"I share his excitement, honestly," you reply. "Who knows what we're in for?"
Down the line, Dumbledore speaks up. “Aha! Unless I am very much mistaken, the delegation from Beauxbatons approaches!”
Many students ask 'Where?', eagerly scouring the area for any sign of the French school's arrival.
"There!"
Something large hurtles through the dark sky towards the castle, growing bigger as it gets closer.
"It's a dragon!" One first-year student, Melanie Mills, yells. She looks to have completely lost it.
"Don't be stupid...it's a flying house!" Dennis Creevey cries.
You share a look with Minerva, returning your gaze to the approaching shape. To your surprise, Dennis isn't actually that far off. You see a giant, powder-blue, horse-drawn carriage, the size of a large house, soaring towards you. It's pulled by a dozen majestic, winged horses, beating their wings as they glide through the air.
The enormous horses skid to a stop right in front of the first-years, who all rear back skittishly. The door to the grand carriage opens and a boy in pale blue robes jumps down from the carriage, bends forward and fumbles with something for a moment on the carriage floor before unfolding a set of gold steps.
You watch in shock as the largest woman you've ever seen steps out of the carriage. She's so tall all thoughts in your head genuinely just melt into pure shock. Bloody hell, she looks bigger than Hagrid. She's dressed from head to toe in black satin, and many magnificent opals gleam at her throat and on her large fingers. She's quite beautiful, but you just can't get over the sheer fact that she's about three times your height.
Dumbledore starts to clap loudly, and the students follow his lead. You clap, open-mouthed as you continue to stare at this incredible woman. Minerva elbows you and jolts you out of your stupor.
A graceful smile settles on the woman's face as she walks forward towards Dumbledore, extending a bejewelled hand out to him. Dumbledore barely has to bend to kiss it.
"My dear Madame Maxime," he says. "Welcome to Hogwarts."
"Dumbly-dorr," Madame Maxime says. "I 'ope I find you well?"
"In excellent form, I thank you," he replies.
“My pupils,” says Madame Maxime, waving one of her enormous hands carelessly behind her.
You now notice about a dozen boys and girls, all looking to be in their late teens, emerging from the carriage and moving to stand behind Madame Maxime. They're shivering, dressed only in their fine silk robes and without any cloaks. They stare up at Hogwarts with apprehensive expressions, glancing around at the students curiously.
"'As Karkaroff arrived yet?" Madame Maxime asks.
"He should be here any moment," says Dumbledore. "Would you like to wait here and greet him or would you prefer to step inside and warm up a trifle?"
"Warm up, I think," says Madame Maxime. "But ze 'orses — "
"Our Care of Magical Creatures teacher will be delighted to take care of them," says Dumbledore, "the moment he has returned from dealing with a slight situation that has arisen with some of his other — er — charges."
You're sure that means Hagrid's current muse: blast-ended skrewts. Nasty buggers, they are. You're glad you're not a student taking that class.
"My steeds require — er — forceful 'andling," Madame Maxime tells him, looking as though she doubts whether any Care of Magical Creatures teacher at Hogwarts could be up to the job. "Zey are very strong..."
"I assure you that Hagrid will be well up to the job," says Dumbledore, smiling.
"Very well. "Madame Maxime bows slightly. "Will you please inform zis 'Agrid zat ze 'orses drink only single-malt whiskey?"
"It will be attended to," assures Dumbledore, also bowing.
"Come," Madame Maxime says imperiously to her students, and the Hogwarts crowd parts to allow her and her students to pass up the stone steps.
The students continue to stand in waiting, their teeth chattering with the cold. Quiet murmurs sweep through the group and Madame Maxime's horses snort and stamp at the ground.
"How long are we gonna have to wait?" Sprout says from your left. "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse."
"Don't say that to Madame Maxime," you mutter quietly and Sprout chuckles.
Then, you hear a distant rumbling and rippling of water.
"The lake!" Lee Jordan yells. "Look at it!"
The Black Lake, usually calm and serene, seems far from it at this moment in time. Some disturbance is taking place deep inside. Bubbles form at the surface, waves crash onto the muddy banks, and you squint as a small whirlpool begins to form in its centre...
Slowly, magnificently, a ship rises out of the water, gleaming in the moonlight. You're impressed at the sheer size of the ship, which has an interesting...skeletal look about it. It's misty and dim, looking like it was just plucked from a silent crypt.
The ship nears the bank, and with a great thud a plank is thrown down onto the ground. People start disembarking, and you notice that as they get closer and closer, they appear to be wearing heavy coats of some kind of matted fur. The man who leads them is wearing a different fur cloak to the rest, this one is far more sleek and silver, like his hair.
"Dumbledore!" he calls heartily as he walks up the slope. "How are you, my dear fellow, how are you?"
"Blooming, thank you, Professor Karkaroff," Dumbledore replies.
Karkaroff is quite a tall and thin man, not unlike Dumbledore, with short white hair and a goatee that ends in a twisted curl. When he reaches Dumbledore, he reaches out and shakes his hand with both of his own.
"Dear old Hogwarts," he says, looking up at the castle and smiling. It's not a true smile, you notice, it doesn't reach his eyes. It's dishonest. "How good it is to be here, how good...Viktor, come along, into the warmth...you don't mind, Dumbledore? Viktor has a slight head cold."
A young man steps forward towards Karkaroff, and when the light from the castle windows hit him you realise that it's none other than Viktor Krum, the Quidditch player. Several of the students let out gasps as the sight of him. Ron looks like he's about to faint.
✧*。✧*。
Time passes and the Goblet of Fire has been left in the Great Hall, where occasionally, someone puts their name forward for the Triwizard Tournament — among them Fred and George Weasley, of course, who decided to employ a cheap Ageing Potion to swindle the Age Line. It did not work out as they planned. They ended up in the hospital wing with two long, silvery beards sprouting from their chins.
Sirius would have loved this. All the excitement and bravado of the Tournament, everything about it. You can picture himself and James putting their names into the goblet, walking away with smug smirks.
You miss him. You miss him so much. Every day you worry about him, hoping that he hasn't gotten himself killed since you last heard from him. It's tough.
One night you can't sleep, mind rampant with thoughts of Sirius, so you go up the Tower to sit and watch the stars like you usually do. To your disappointment, it's too cloudy of a night for you to see much and you decide to just go for a walk around the castle instead. Dubh joins you, jumping into your arms and clinging to your shirt, purring contentedly.
It's perfectly quiet in the empty corridors, silent but for the soft echo of your slippers sliding over the stone. The paintings are all still and sleeping. Some of them are snoring. You know this castle like the back of your hand. At this point, you probably know it better than your own home. You've spent so many days here, countless times have you passed through these same hallways, at all times of the day.
You stroke Dubh's head lovingly, gently scratching behind her ears. You'd be lost without her, really. She's the best company you could ask for.
You near the Great Hall and that's when you hear a muffled bang. You stop walking immediately, furrowing your brows and trying to listen for more. Perhaps it was just your imagination.
Bang!
No, you definitely heard it that time. It's quiet, but not quiet enough, and it's coming from the Hall. Your heart starts to beat a little faster, and you pull your wand from your pocket, edging closer to the double doors of the Great Hall. You slowly, apprehensively pull one open just a crack, and slip into the Hall.
Clunk, clunk, clunk.
Moody is approaching your end of the Hall, and when he looks up and sees you he stops dead in his tracks, good eye wide.
"Sir?" You say in confusion.
He doesn't respond.
"Is, uh, is everything alright? I heard noises..."
He grinds his teeth. "No, no. It's fine. What are you doing down here?"
You shrug. "I couldn't sleep, wanted to go for a walk. Why are you down here?"
"None of your business, girl," he snaps quickly, barely letting you finish your sentence before he's jumped in.
You swallow, glancing away from him, petting Dubh anxiously. "Right, yeah, okay."
He clunks his way over to you, and you brace yourself as he passes, glass eye fixed on you. Dubh hisses at him and you just worry that'll anger him even more.
It's not long before he's left the Hall and you're still standing there, confused.
What the hell is going on?
✧*。✧*。
You sit, once again, in the Great Hall. It's Halloween, so pumpkins and enchanted bats bob high in the room. Every student is watching the goblet closely, hoping it'll do something soon.
You glance down the staff table. You see Snape, who gives you a dirty look when he catches you and you scoff; Hagrid, who is eagerly chatting with Madame Maxime; Ludo Bagman, who is currently caught up in conversation with Minerva beside you; and Crouch, who could not look more uninterested and bored. What a lovely chap.
"Well, the goblet is ready to make its decision," Dumbledore announces, and several students look to each other excitedly. "I estimate that it requires one more minute. Now, when the champions' names are called, I would ask them to please come up to the top of the Hall, walk along the staff table, and go through into the next chamber" — he indicates the door behind your table — "where they will be receiving their first instructions."
He takes out his wand, quenching every candle in the room but for the ones in the pumpkins, plunging the Hall into semi-darkness. The mesmerising blue flame of the Goblet of Fire danced and captured everyone's attention, waiting with bated breath for its decision.
Any second now, you think.
You spotted Angelina Johnson putting her name in not too long ago, you hope it's her. Such a lovely girl. You'd heard too that Cedric Diggory also put his name in, and while you think he's also a great fit for Hogwarts champion, you'd like to see a woman lift that cup this year. A Gryffindor, too, that'd be nice.
Suddenly, the flame turns red and sparks begin to fly from it. Next moment, a tongue of flame shoots into the air and a piece of parchment flutters out of it. Everyone gasps.
Dumbledore deftly catches the piece of parchment. "The champion for Durmstrang..." he booms slowly, "will be Viktor Krum."
Loud cheering and applause sweeps through the Hall as Viktor Krum stands from the Slytherin table and approaches the staff table, passing down it.
"Bravo, Viktor!" Karkaroff booms loudly, clapping heartily and grinning at his student. "Knew you had it in you!"
The clapping and cheering dies down again and you return your focus to the goblet, its flames glowing red once more. Before you can even register it, a second piece of parchment fires into the air, propelled by the flames.
"The champion for Beauxbatons..." Dumbledore reads, "is Fleur Delacour!"
Fleur Delacour's face is bright and full of smiles as she excitedly heads up past your table to the raucous applause from the room, before she too disappears into the side chamber with Viktor Krum.
Silence falls and you can feel the added tension of this one: Hogwarts next. You don't even notice the way you lean further into the table, tapping your foot in anticipation as the Goblet of Fire finally turns red again, spitting out the last scrap of parchment into Dumbledore's waiting hands.
"The Hogwarts champion...is Cedric Diggory!"
This time, the applause is by far the loudest. Each and every Hufflepuff gets to their feet, clapping and cheering loudly as Cedric Diggory makes his way past them, grinning broadly. You clap enthusiastically and smile encouragingly at him as he passes you, following the other two champions into the chamber.
"Excellent!" Dumbledore calls happily as at last the celebration dies down. "Well, now we have our three champions. I am sure I can count upon all of you, including the students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, to give your champions every ounce of support you can muster. By cheering your champion on, you will contribute in a very real — "
Dumbledore suddenly stops speaking, and you crane your neck to look and see what's stopped him.
The fire in the Goblet has turned red again. Sparks are flying out of it. A long flame suddenly shoots into the air, spitting out yet another piece of parchment.
As if automatically, Dumbledore reached out his hand to seize the parchment. He holds it out and stares at it, his expression unreadable. You stare at Dumbledore, wondering what's going on, but his face reveals absolutely nothing as he continues to study the parchment like there's some sort of unbreakable code written upon it.
He clears his throat.
"Harry Potter."

The relationship between Sam and you had begun to blossom in the fall of your first year in Pelican Town. It had all started out quite simple; playing pool with the blond and Sebastian in the saloon turned into hanging out and playing video games together. Taking turns trying hard levels bled into fleeting touches and looking at one another longer than necessarily needed; until it all ended in a chaste kiss behind near the river. It hadn’t taken Sam much longer to show up on your doorstep with a bouquet of flowers, asking you to officially be with him.
Ever since, your relationship had grown like the crops on your fields – filling your heart with a deep, comfortable feeling of contentment and calm, something no one ever had managed up until the town. However, whenever Sam walked up to you, looking at you with these deep blue eyes filled with excitement and genuine happiness and smiling at you as if you were the first warm day in spring, you felt like you were at the right place, at the right time.
However, there was gossip in town. Little whispers, really, nothing you wouldn’t have expected living in a sleepy community like this. The gossip here was nothing more than a fleeting thought that was spoken out; here one moment, gone the next. You had always promised yourself to not let these whispers stick to you, to just smile and forget about it. And so far you had done well; the most attention you had spent on anything that wasn’t rock solid was wondering how someone would come up with something like that. In all seriousness, you just didn’t care for it. It rolled off your back like droplets of rain rolled off your raincoat. You didn’t think a simple visit to Pierre’s would change that. You were standing in front of one of the shelves in the far back, looking at the different seasonal seeds in stock, considering trying out something new on the fields when you heard Marnie’s voice. It was hushed as it usually was when she was gossiping. Any other day, you would have just turned back to the bags in your hand, but today, you heard your boyfriend’s name. Much to your shame, your ears perked up almost immediately, and even worse, you actually tilted your head a little to catch what Marnie was saying.
“Yes, I am surprised he didn’t end up with Ms. Penny. The crushes they had were quite obvious, even my nephew picked up on it,” she hummed. Another voice now answered with a hum, but when they talked, you were able to identify it as Mayor Lewis’s. “Even my old eyes picked up on it! I saw them at the bridge often, and I always thought Ms. Penny just waited for him to make the first move and she would have been all his.” Your heart sank. Sam had had a crush on Penny? You furrowed your brows as you thought back, trying to remember if you ever had picked up on anything like that. Then it hit you – they had often hung out by the bridge together, and if you were honest, you had always felt a weird tension sizzle in the air between them. Marnie again: “It is quite a shame, really. Jas told me that Ms. Penny looks a little sad when they pick up little Vincent. I think they would have made a good couple; she could have taught him a lot, I bet.” “And maybe he would have helped her to get out of her shell a little. I thought they were a good match as well.” You couldn’t take any more. You stepped out from between the shelves and almost ran to the till, slamming the bags onto the counter. “Just these, please,” you smiled at Pierre, loud enough for the hushed whispers behind you to stop. “Thanks,” you murmured after you had been rung up, fleeing the general store without as much as a look in the two chatterboxes’ direction.
You had genuinely wanted to let go of what you had heard today. After all, Sam was with you now, and he seemed genuinely happy with you. Even now in his sleep, he was looking peaceful and content; his arm stretched out towards you as usual. Whenever you and Sam slept together, he had to touch you in some way. You didn’t mind that, in fact, it usually calmed you and lulled you into a deep slumber. Tonight, it didn’t help. You had started thinking as soon as your conversation with Sam had faded as his breathing had grown heavier; a clear sign that he was drifting off to sleep. Had you gotten in the middle of something between Sam and Penny? Would he maybe be better off dating her? Would he be happier with her? Why did he choose to be with you when there seemingly was a spark, big enough for others to notice? Penny, in all honesty, was not only a beautiful human but had an incredible personality at that. She was a catch, no doubt. Maybe you had ruined the best relationship Sam could have ever had, because what could you offer? You were a farmer, nothing more, nothing less. Doing work many considered as nothing but simple and dirty. Whereas Penny was always clean and well-kempt: being noble enough to try and give the town’s kids the best possible education. Trying to give your boyfriend’s little brother the best possible chances, for crying out loud! Holy shit, you had probably ruined Sam’s life, what did he even see in you? “Babe?” a groggy voice next to you asked, making you tense up. You had been so lost in your whirlwind of thoughts that you hadn’t even realized how much you had been tossing and turning. You tried to stay still, even out your breathing. Maybe he would just go back to sleep. But you knew Sam better than that. And just as you had expected, two strong arms slowly snaked around you, pulling you into a warm chest. Sam’s hand found your hair, long fingers running through it just mere moments later. Sam knew you, sometimes better than you knew yourself, and he knew what to do when you were nervous. And even now in your state of inner turmoil it helped; you relaxed into his arms, and for a split second, your head was quiet. “What’s wrong, baby? Bad dream?” That was your chance. If you said yes now, he would probably cuddle you, caressing your hair until you fell asleep. Sleep sounded nice right about now. “Did I ruin your chances with Penny? Would you rather be with her?”
The caressing stopped, and you could feel the mattress behind you shift. Was he leaving now? The light switched on, and before you could say something else, you saw Sam’s face hover right over yours. His rough hand was placed on your cheek now, thumb caressing the skin gently as he peered into your eyes. All sleep had vanished now, replaced by honest concern and confusion.  “Why would you think something like that?” You bit around on your lower lip, looking away in embarrassment. “I heard Marnie and Lewis talk at Pierre’s today…They…they talked about the crush you had on Penny and the crush she had on you and how you would be a great match and how she is sad when she picks up Vincent now and-“ Noting how stupid you sounded, you stopped yourself, taking in a deep breath and not being able to stop yourself, “and it had me wondering, because I saw you hang out as well and Penny is so beautiful and kind and noble and she would have a good influence on you! And what am I, just a farmer, you have seen me in dirty clothes more often than in clean ones and-“ You looked at Sam helplessly, tears in the corner of your eyes. “And I just…Why did you choose me when you could have had her, Sam? Why didn’t you choose her? You could have…I…” The blond looked at you, patiently waiting for you to finish speaking. Only when your stream of words had seemingly ceased did he lean in and press a soft kiss to your lips. “Because Penny isn’t you, my love,” he murmured against the plush of your lips, looking into your eyes. His thumb was still caressing your cheek, allowing his other hand to lock together with yours. “Yes, Penny is a good-hearted woman, and yes, I might have had a crush on her.  But you touched my heart in a way no one ever has. I fell in love with you, and I mean all of you. Your eyes; the way they light up when you’re proud or happy. The way you smile and the many different smiles you have. I love every single one. I love that you get dirty every day while doing what you love. I love that you give it your all every day.” Sam kissed your nose carefully, his eyes peering into yours again. “I love how careful you are with everything, especially with things that are dear to you. Yoba, I love the way your breathing sounds when you are next to me, I love the way you ramble to yourself when you are working on something and think no one can hear you. I love the random sounds you make. I love seeing you. I love being around you. I love you being mine. I love you.” Sam kissed your lips again, holding onto your face. You looked up at him with teary eyes, hiding your face in his chest. The blond laid back down, carefully pulling you on top of him. He drew random patterns onto your back; mostly hearts and clouds and little stars. “I remember the first actual date we went on. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I was so close to just throwing up. Sebastian kept teasing me, asking me why I was nervous, I had been to the beach so often…” he kissed your head again, holding you a little tighter to his chest. “And then I saw you there. All bundled up in your winter clothes, and I asked myself why I had been so stupid to suggest a date on the beach in winter. But when you smiled at me…Shit, that was the moment I just knew that you were my one and only. And I wouldn’t want to live a life in which you weren’t.” You sniffled a little, but smiled a little as you thought back to the date. You had, in fact, asked yourself why Sam would want to meet up at the beach in winter, but you could have never allowed yourself to pass up the opportunity. You closed your eyes; taking in your boyfriend’s scent. He smelled like cotton and a hint of vanilla. Honestly, you found he smelled like home. You could feel Marnie’s and Lewis’s voices quieten down, as did your worries. Sam could feel you relax in your arms and slowly lifted your chin with two fingers. “I love you.” “I love you, too, Sam.” “And tomorrow I will skate on the Mayor’s property.” “No, Sam."

All eyes felt like they were on you as you disconnected from the crowd of students and moved towards the front. Your hands grasped the strap on your bag, knuckles begging to turn white from the grip. As you passed by the 23 and stood in front of the Dean, you were sure you were dreaming.
“Ms. Stillwater, please. Have a seat.”
You hesitated as you turned away from Highbottom and spotted the empty seat directly behind Sejanus next to Festus Creed. You made your way over, sure to avoid the glares being directed at you as you placed yourself amongst the group, feeling awfully out of place. The red uniform was an eyesore amongst the expensive suits and custom dresses. You set your bag down under your chair, careful not to cause commotion.
“You are all hear, eager to learn what your final task will be and who's won that Plinth Prize, no doubt. And a golden future. However, as you know, there has been a change this year. One final assignment to prove your worth. Because…”
The dean paused, almost as if he was about to regret his words. “...the esteemed citizens of the Capitol have grown bored of the Games and simply aren't watching anymore. And if the Games are to continue at all, there must be an audience. So, Head Gamemaker Dr. Gaul has stepped in to...incentivize patriotic values with her own unique flair, starting with you. The Plinth Prize will no longer be determined by who has the best grades.”
“Excuse me?” Arachne whispered in front of you.
A gasp resounded in the auditorium. If this project had nothing to do with grades, what then would determine the Plinth Prize winner. And what did Dr. Gaul’s presence have to do with anything? The mumbling continued as the dean kept speaking.
“But by who is the best mentor in the Hunger Games.”
The room seemed to deafen as all of the 24 students stiffened. You could’ve sworn you saw Festus choke beside you. Your eyes bore into the back of Sejanus’s head. He had to have known that this was it. It was no wonder he was in such a mood this morning. Over and over, every year, he dreads this day, knowing that he should be amongst his old peers in District 2, awaiting his name to be drawn as well. But the fact that he was here and that there was nothing that he could do to stop it had adrenaline running through his veins. You so desperately wanted him to turn around and face you, but the way that his face was turned down towards the ground told you that he couldn’t look anyone in the eye.
“This is a brand new role. As the Reaping progresses live, I will allocate each district tribute a Capitol mentor behind the scenes, one who must just persuade them to perform for the cameras,” the dean continued.
“Obviously, the best mentor will be the one whose tribute wins the Games,” Festus argued.
Sitting ahead of you, Arachne Crane also spoke up. “What if I get a pathetic runt girl from one of the poor districts, like 8 or 12? They're just gonna die in two minutes like they did last year and the year before.”
You hadn’t even thought about that yet. Just the matter of having to mentor a tribute made your heart stop. This was all coming to you too soon. Just last night, you had thought that your future was over, but now, here you sat, waiting for your name to be called alongside a tribute like an auction.
“Your role is to turn these children into spectacles, Ms. Crane. Not survivors,” Highbottom enunciated the last word. “Victory in the Games is only one of our considerations. Your entire future rests on this last project. Oh, and I must tell you that anyone caught cheating to give their tributes an unfair advantage,” he laughs, “will just have no future at all.”
A brass anthem played above the dean's words, announcing the start of the Reaping. The screens above the podium where Dr Gaul stood moments before turned on, bringing all the students a live feed from the district stages as the Reapings progressed. Highbottom sat down on the stairs in front of Coriolanus, drawing your eyes to his rigid form. He seemed immoveable, head held high as he waited for his assignment.
“District 1. Boy goes to Livia Cardew.”
A slight applause sounded as the girl across the room from you blushed and gasped to her friends sitting beside her.
“Girl goes to Palmyra Monty. District 2 boy.” The dean paused, seemingly trying to hold in a small laugh. “How apt. Boy goes to Sejanus Plinth.”
Your best friend didn’t move. Which means, he knew. He whoever was plucked in the Reaping would be handed to him. Without a doubt, you believed that his father probably bought the tribute for Sejanus. Why else would he so openly fight with his father? Sejanus may not agree with his father’s choice all of the time, but he never went as far as to argue with him. The only time you had ever seen Sejanus yell at Strabo in front of you was when you were both eleven.
Ma and Strabo had taken you both to shop for new clothes. Sejanus was inconsolable as he cried in the middle of the boutique about how he wished that he was home, dressing in dust filled clothing among his TRUE family instead of trying on clothes that felt like they would choke him. It was almost as if the suits and uniforms knew that he wasn’t truly Capitol. When his father came to reprimand him, Sejanus stood and yelled at his father, causing a scene and directing stares towards you and the Plinths. You were sent home shortly after that with a message from Ma that it would be a while before you were allowed to see your best friend again.
“You got the pick of the litter,” you heard Coriolanus whisper to Sejanus, more casually than you would have expected.
“You forget. I'm part of that litter.” Sejanus’s voice was filled with disgusted, seething as he spoke. You leaned forward to place a hand on his shoulder, only for it to be received with a shrug, shaking your hand from its place. Coriolanus looked over at the interaction, smirking when he saw that your friend wanted nothing to do with you. Embarrassed, you leaned back in your chair, continuing to listen to Highbottom read of the names of District 3.
“4, boy, Y/N Stillwater. Girl, Festus Creed.”
“Congratulations,” Festus said, leaning over to you and holding out his hand for you to shake. You met his hand in the middle, hoping that he wouldn’t say anything about your sweaty palm. “Guess we’ll be working together.”
You tried to give the sincerest smile to him that you could, nervous about working with him. He hadn’t been the kindest to you since he found out about your friendship with Sejanus, dismissive of the district boy. Taking your hand from his, you processed the information. You had a career tribute and a boy nonetheless. While it wasn’t unheard of for a girl to win, the male careers lasted longer because of the jobs that they were given in the districts. The dean did say that winning did not determine the winner of the prize, but it would most certainly have the most influence on the decision.
Coriolanus tried to seem unaffected as the first half the tributes were read off and his name didn’t follow. Even though things were different, the dean still seemed to find a way to sabotage his chances. The numbers continued to count down. 8, 9, 10, 11. Yet his name still wasn’t read, making him shift in his chair, trying to maintain his composure.
Your attention was directed back to the Reaping as they progressed into the smaller, less important districts, You kept hearing names getting called on, followed by mixed responses depending on the appearance of the tribute on the screens above.
“Oh. You'll be happy about this, Ms. Crane. The ‘runt girl’, from District 12,” the dean said, standing to face the half of you. “She belongs to Coriolanus Snow.”
No noise was made in response as the mayor read off the female tribute's name on stage in 12. “Lucy Gray Baird.”
Amongst the crowd of teenagers stepped out a girl with dark hair, the color of chocolate and a dress that was as colorful as something you would see in the Capitol, pinks, purples, oranges, and yellows in the fabric.
“What is that dress? Is she some sort of clown?” Arachne punched fun at Lucy Gray’s attire which you thought was a bold statement. It seemed to send a message that she didn’t fit in with the other girls of District 12.
The camera tracked her path as she walked in between the split crowd of guys and girls. On her way a boy stopped her, grabbing her arm, but she recoiled from the gesture, keeping her head held high as she walked to the front. Just as she was to cross to the stairs, Lucy Gray Baird disrupted her path to reach for another girl’s dress and placed something in her neckline. The girl’s screams filled the auditorium over the speakers, making Coriolanus stand up to see what his tribute had done.
“My daughter! Help her!” the mayor shouted from the stage, reaching his hand out towards the girl. Peacekeepers held him back, however, as two other guards assisted his daughter. The cameras panned to the scene, revealing a small snake wriggling out of the bottom of her dress as she collapsed on the floor.
As Lucy Gray walked up the stairs, she made her way to the mayor to shake his hand as her male partner, Jessup Diggs, had done moments ago. Rather than being met with a handshake, the mayor’s hand met your face with a slap, leaving both the auditorium and the crowd in the districts with a resounding gasp. Peacekeepers dragged the mayor back further, pulling him to the chairs in the back of the stage. Another tried to reach a hand out to Lucy Gray who was on the floor. Instead of taking it, she held her hand out, whispering something inaudible to the cameras. Suddenly a small voice was heard over the screens, singing.
“Can’t take my past, can’t take my hist’ry. You could take my pa, but his name’s a mystery.”
Lucy Gray’s voice took over the tune. “Nothin’ you can take from me was ever worth keepin’. Nothin’ you can take was ever worth keepin’.”
“Singing? Is she out of her mind?” Arachne commented for what seemed like the thousandth time that morning. Like she could ever understand what these kids have gone through. You pushed off her comment, however, and continued to listen to the saccharine voice over the speakers.
“Can’t take my charm, can’t take my humor. You could take my wealth cuz it’s just a rumor.” She got up from her spot on the ground and made her way over to the microphone where the mayor had been standing. “Nothin’ you can take was ever worth keepin’.”
The tune seemed to be familiar to you, one you feel you could’ve heard before, but you brushed it off. You told yourself that the melody must have been a common one because there was no way that you could’ve known a song from the districts. But you couldn’t help but hum along. This got you a stare from Festus beside you, making you stop, hoping that nobody else had heard it.
Lucy took the mic off of the stand, beginning to put on more of a performance for the audience both in the districts and the ones she had to know were in the Capitol. “You can’t take my sass, you can’t take my talkin’.” She took a deep breath before screaming her lungs out into the microphone. “YOU CAN KISS MY ASS!”
If the murmurs weren’t loud enough in the auditorium, they sure were now. Dropping the mic, the District 12 girl took a bow. Everyone’s eyes were on Coriolanus, laughing under their breath about how unlucky the boy must be to have someone as crazy as her. But all you had in your heart was jealousy. The dean did say that it wasn’t about winning. It was about getting your tribute to perform. Coriolanus didn’t need to assist his tribute in that front. She was doing well enough on her own.
“Well she’s mentally ill.” Coriolanus wanted to slap Arachne for her words. She perhaps was just jealous she was stuck with someone from District 10 and he had someone with courage.
Coriolanus looked around, feeling the stares that he was receiving. But all he could do was smile. His ‘runt girl’ had more spunk than he thought. While she was practically skin and bones to look at, there was a fire behind her, one that he seemed to be missing, that could quite possibly give her more of a shot in the games than he thought.
Tumblr media
After the ceremony, Coriolanus had found a spot outside of the auditorium after everybody had been dismissed to class. He made sure that no one was near before reaching into his bag and pulling out a cloth of food he had snuck from the front tables this morning. Practically shoving the pieces of bread in his mouth, he longed to stop the growls of his empty stomach. He had given up food this morning for his grandmother and he knew that he wasn’t going to last until lunch. Before he could even begin on his second piece, someone cleared his throat from behind him. At the noise, he quickly bundled up his scraps and shoved them back into the pocket of his bag, making sure he was presentable enough before turning around.
“Proud, I see. Like your father,” the dean told him. At that, Coriolanus gave a strange look to the man in front of him. His father was a famous general, but his father was emotionless, cold to everyone except his family. Even then, at the death of his mother and baby sister, Coriolanus never received the same love from his father anymore, left to a lonely life. “Yes. He and I were best friends. Once. Enlighten me, Mr. Snow. What are your plans after these Games?”
Coriolanus stood proudly. “I hope to go on to the University, sir. Naturally.”
“And if you fail to win the Plinth Prize, what then?”
“We'd pay the tuition, of course,” the blonde said firmly, hoping he masked his concern well enough. If he didn’t win the Plinth Prize, he could consider his education, his name, his life, over.
“Look at you. Your makeshift shirt and your too tight shoes. Trying desperately to fit in when I know the Snows don't have a pot to piss in.” Highbottom gave him a pitiful look, making him break his gaze from the short man only a few feet away. “Good luck with that poor little songbird.”
The dean’s voice carried as he walked down the hallway, away from Snow. As the shoes began to carry closer to you, you tucked yourself behind a pillar, much like the one where Coriolanus was standing in front of. You hadn’t meant to eavesdrop on their conversation, but you wanted to talk to Highbottom after the ceremony, but he had spent an awful lot of time talking to Dr. Gaul. You had been waiting outside until you heard the doors open. Though you thought it was Highbottom, you were unpleasantly surprised at Coriolanus walking out. The whole time the two were talking, you tried to stay as quiet as you could, but when you heard a shout and a clatter, you felt like screaming.
“FUCK!” Coriolanus shouted, throwing his bag off at one of the statues near him, leaving all of his stuff to fall out of his bag and scatter over the floor. He could not believe the audacity that the dean had to screw his life over like this. Something must have happened between his father and Highbottom to make him this set on destroying his life.
You peeked around the pillar to see him, getting down on the ground to pick up the mess that he created. Something in you told you to go over and help, but you stayed glued in your spot, worried what the boy would think of you spying on him. As he finished slipping everything back into his bag, however, he looked over, spotting your head peeking out and watching him. When your eyes met his, you shot back behind the pillar, clenching your jaw for being so nosy.
“Hello?”
You didn’t say anything back.
“Who are you? How long have you been here?”
Again, you stayed quiet, hoping that he would just walk away, too ashamed to actually face you. You blocked out the sight and noise of the hall, hoping that if you couldn’t see him, he wouldn’t be able to see you. But you were proven wrong as you felt a hand pull your arm when your eyes were still closed. Before you could open them, Coriolanus was yanking you into the corridor to face him. When he realized it was you, he cursed the gods. Why couldn’t it have been someone not friends with Sejanus? Why did it have to be you?
“You,” he said, seething.
“Ow,” you exclaimed, pulling your arm away from him. “The hell are you doing?”
“What the hell are YOU doing? How long have you been standing here?”
You didn’t contemplate your next words very much before spitting in his face just what was on your mind. “Enough to know that Highbottom is trying to screw you over with your tribute.” It created a brief smirk on your face, but that was before you realized what you had just revealed to him.
“What do you mean?” he asks you, crossing his arms to seem unbothered by your truthful comment.
Clenching your bag strap at his cockiness, you wanted to scream in his face that you knew about the fact that he wouldn’t be able to go onto University without the Prize. You wanted to yell at him for lying about how well off he was. But you couldn’t. Because he was just like you. Screwed without the prize, without your tribute winning the games.
“N-nothing,” you chose to answer instead.
He seemed to calm down after you didn’t give him an explanation. Maybe you didn’t hear as much as he thought. “What are you doing out in the hall, Y/N?” he asked, still angry.
“I could ask you the same thing.”
When both of you couldn’t share an explanation, Coriolanus finally spoke up. “Go to class, Stillwater. Just forget about this.”
He brushed past you, his shoulder colliding with yours as he continued down the hall. You looked back at him as he walked away, but he didn’t look at you. After you couldn’t see his face anymore, he let out a sigh of relief. You didn’t know. You didn’t know what apparently Highbottom knew. Lucy Gray HAD to win the games now in order to prove the dean wrong. He brushed his forehead with the back of his hand, wiping away the thin layer of sweat that had grown on from anxiousness. Tomorrow, the tributes would arrive and he could keep his mind occupied with the games.
Tumblr media
“He's sabotaging us. That girl's not gonna win these Games. You saw her. She's underfed, unstable,” Coriolanus said, pacing back and forth, rolling the rose from his lapel around in his hands.
“The Dean said it's not just about winning.” Tigris was concerned when Coriolanus came home that afternoon, looking pale as a ghost. But when she had asked him what was wrong, he just stared at her, explaining he would tell her later.
“Everything is about winning. If not the Games now, then the crowd. Lucy Gray won't survive a minute inside that arena. So that means we have to make every second before then count.” He paused, trying to think of a way to get Lucy Gray to connect in some way with the people of Panem when suddenly, it came to him, making him stop in his tracks. It was so painfully obvious. “I'll get her to sing again.”
“I wouldn't sing a note for you if I was her. I wouldn't do anything at all. Unless I could trust you.”
Coriolanus was disgusted at the notion. Trust? How could he trust someone who came from a place that had tormented Panem and had killed his father? “She's district, Tigris. She knows we hate her, and she wants us dead. How am I supposed to get her to trust me?
“Imagine it was your name that they pulled and you had been ripped from your home,” she argued, trying to keep her voice down as they talked. Grandma’am was sleeping in the other room and the very notion of what Tigris was talking about would give their grandmother a heart attack. “I'd just wanna know that somebody still cared about me out here. Don't discount her just because she's district, Coryo. You might have more in common with her than you think.”
Coriolanus scoffed lightly, not sure if Tigris’s advice would be worth it, let alone if it would actually work. But it wouldn’t hurt to try. He needed all the help he could get in order to ensure the Plinth Prize. Thinking about the prize made him think of his run in with you in the hall today. How much of the conversation with Highbottom had you truly heard? Maybe he was just being paranoid, but he couldn’t bear it if he knew someone out there knew the truth about his family. If the dean already knew, so be it, but one of his classmates? “Do you remember Y/N Stillwater?” he asked his cousin.
She thought for a minute, trying to conjure up an image of you. “Maybe. Is she the one who’s friends with Sejanus Plinth?” He nodded. “What about her?”
Coriolanus debated saying anything, thinking it silly to even consider saying something to his cousin that would only make her worry. “Do you know much about her? She and I had a...run-in...today and I just wanna make sure she’s not going to be a...problem.”
“I don’t think she’ll be a ‘problem,’ Coryo. From what I know of her, she’s a sweet girl. She’s come down to the fabric shop with the Plinths a few times. Her father passed in the war and her family keeps to themselves.”
He had no idea that your father passed, only assuming that you kept close to the Plinths because of your friendship with Sejanus. And suddenly, he wasn’t too concerned about you anymore. “Just forget I asked. Goodnight, Tigris.”
Coriolanus got up from his spot, moving to give Tigris a kiss on the cheek before moving to his room. He began to undo the buttons of his father’s shirt, being careful not to pop a button off or rip the thin fabric. The only artifacts he had left of his parents were his father’s shirt, his mother’s scarf, his father’s compass, and his mother’s compact, and he cherished every one. He wondered if you had any symbols of your father from before he died or if your mother would even allow you to keep those reminders in your house. His father didn’t know about the scarf or the compact after his mother’s death and Coriolanus was glad he didn’t because everything else of his mother was thrown into the flames.
Why his head was now seemingly filled with you, he didn’t know. But what he did know was that he didn’t trust you. If he wanted to ensure that you wouldn’t get in his way, he’d have to befriend you. Better yet, it would allow him to get closer to Sejanus, closer to the Plinths. His head hurt, thinking of all the people he would have to gain trust with for the Prize, but he kept telling himself that it would be worth it. Eventually, he drifted off to sleep, mind wandering and dreaming only nightmares of the day to come.

Timeskip Accident 3 Nahoya Kawata
Tumblr media
When did everything change? When did your loyal, caring boyfriend become so distant? So angry? So aggressive? As teens, Nahoya had been nothing less than doting and protective.
So why was he now hurling insults at you along with dishes and fists?
You dodged this way and that, trying to avoid whatever punishment was being handed to you for the unknown thing that had angered him. The house you shared with him was a mess now. Dishes broken and the drywall cracked in various places. Souya had told you to run years ago. Your brother-in-law only wanted what was best for you.
"Nahoya, please..." How tragic to be backed into a corner with your only hope being that maybe he would finally see you again, "Hoya..."
He slapped you as hard as he could, his jewelry covered fingers hurting more than a bare backhand, leaving you stunned in every sense. For a second you thought you were back in the old arcade. The smell of expired candy and screaming teenagers, every machine whirring as loud as it could, and the awful EDM music that tried to cover the sounds.
"Hey, you zoned out again?" Nahoya's old curly hair appeared in your vision. No thoughts seemed to be running through your mind as you reached out and laced your fingers in his kinky hair. "Earth to Noodle Brain!" Nahoya waved his hand in your face and asked if you were okay when you flinched away from him. All you could do was nod, because if you responded then he would lash out. "Aw, don't tell me that my pretty girl won't speak?" Nahoya's laugh brought all types of emotions back. Above all of them was the love that you once had for him.
Love for the way he grabbed your hand in moments like these, where you cried unconsolably and he had no clue why. Moments where he threatened to kill anyone who looked at you while you had tears in your eyes. Moments when he wasn't Smiley, but Nahoya. Your Hoya.
Souya was never far behind him, hitting anyone who came too close to his new sis. Neither of them were okay with you crying.
"What happened?" The cracks in your voice made Nahoya's little heart clench. "Please, Hoya...please don't change..." You begged him and he couldn't do anything but hug you close. Seeing you cry, hearing you spout nonsense as the twins led you from the arcade, it broke something in the hotheaded teen. Made him see how truly fragile you were compared to him.
You weren't some hardened gang member. You were a girl, and you needed for him to keep you out of that target. Nahoya wanted you by his side, of course, but what was the point if you had a snotty nose and bloodshot eyes?
He cherished your smile and the way you did a little happy dance when he cooked for you. Not this-this mess of a girl begging for him to not change. Whatever that means.
"I'm not changing on ya', gorgeous. Just get on the bike, yeah?" Nahoya helped you onto his motorcycle, taking a quick moment to snap his helmet over your head. "Wanna come home with me for a bit? We can sit and Souya can cook something."
"Hey!" Souya protested from his bike.
But you were reveling in your dream. It had to be a dream, right? Nahoya and you from middle school, that dingy arcade with his brother and friends? That wasn't actually happening? Neither was you walking in their parent's home, or Souya cooking your favorite soba or the way Nahoya bundled you in his biggest blanket so he could start a movie he knew you'd love.
None of this was happening...right?
Maybe you had died. Maybe Nahoya had finally hit you hard enough that you fell into the afterlife. Hell, if sitting in Nahoya's squat room curled up in a blanket was your death, so be it. It was better than being hit. And Nahoya was more than happy to listen to you fall asleep next to him. It was much better than hearing you sniffle the last of whatever mood had clutched you.
The light was dim when you finally opened your eyes, a faint scraping sound of someone pulling curtains together sounding like nails on a chalkboard. What time was it? Where were you?
"Sleep some more, gorgeous. I already called in for you." A deep, raspy and sleepy rumble sounded off next to you, Nahoya's arm tugged at the blanket to get warm with you.
"Called in?"
"Yep. Me and you all day." There it was. That same old laughter you'd fallen in love with years ago. It was ringing in your ears again.
But it was impossible. You didn't even have a job to call in to, Nahoya had made sure of that. Hadn't he? The muscles in your body moved on their own to touch his hair. It would be straightened and and he'd be pissed that you paid attention to his curls again-
Except his hair wasn't straight. It was kinky and peachy and tangling you're fingers as if to trap you to him. And he was laughing. Laughing! As if you hadn't just done something to upset him.
"Sleep some more, gorgeous. I'll wake you up for breakfast."

Chrissy woke up in Robin’s arms a few hours later, rested but disoriented. There was an odd sound she couldn’t place, a jingle that her morning-sleepiness wouldn’t let her focus on.
The music was still playing in the background, a constant loop. She looked around, relieved that everyone was still there. Nancy was curled onto her side with Max laid out at the very end of the bed. Steve and Eddie were laying on top of each other on the couch, while Dustin snored in the chair.
She wasn’t sure what woke her up, not until she realized that tinkling was the sound of keys in the door, followed by it slamming open.
“I hate that damn door,” She heard a gruff voice say under his breath.
Chrissy popped her head up, her eyes widening when Eddie’s uncle stepped inside. He stopped, a loud sigh escaping as he looked around the room. His eyes zeroed right onto Eddie and Steve on the couch, Eddie still peacefully asleep on Steve’s chest.
He didn’t even look surprised. Just vaguely annoyed.
Chrissy watched as he walked over, nudging them both until they started grumbling. Steve came to first, rubbing his eyes before looking up at Wayne with a very guilty look on his face.
He shook Eddie with him, waking him just in time to hear it when Wayne sighed, “Boys, why are all of these people in our house?”
They looked at each other, another silent conversation raging on until Steve nodded.
Eddie rolled off of him, landing on his feet as he looked at Wayne, “We have something to tell you. And… you’re probably going to want to sit down for it.”
The rest of the group was starting to wake now, everyone coming to consciousness from the noise. But Wayne listened. He sat on the couch, obviously confused as Steve shook Nancy awake. He whispered a few words into her ear, her eyes going from sleepy to focused in record time.
She nodded, “You’re right. He deserves to know.”
“Will someone please explain what the hell you’re talking about?” Wayne finally snapped, “I’m getting off a ten-hour shift here.”
“I know, I know,” Eddie sighed as he sat next to him, “But you’re gonna want to hear this. Nancy, go.”
And go she went, explaining the same tale that Chrissy got, but with none of the circumstances to force her to believe it.
By the end of it, Wayne had his head in his hands, groaning as everyone chimed in about their corroborating stories.
He was struggling to believe it, they could all tell. Chrissy couldn’t blame him. She was still struggling, despite the fact that her life was on the line.
He finally looked up, his eyes zeroing in on Steve and Eddie.
“So you’re saying, that day you two came home beaten and bloodied wasn’t a fight? You almost died fighting monsters. That’s what you’re telling me?”
“I-It technically was a fight-” Steve tried.
“Have you or have you not, been risking your lives for the past four years dealing with supernatural shit? Yes or no, Steven?” Wayne interrupted.
It was enough to snap Steve’s mouth shut. Chrissy was pretty sure she’d never seen him look chastised before, but here he was. Steve nodded, nearly hiding behind Eddie as Wayne groaned.
“W-We had to sign NDAs!” Eddie tried, “We would have told you but we didn’t think-”
“What? You thought it would be better for me to find out my kids died through some shady government agency? Do you even know how insane all of the shit you just said was! I- how do you expect me to react?!”
It worked just as well with Eddie as it did with Steve. He snapped his mouth back closed, thoroughly reprimanded.
“We’re sorry,” Steve mumbled out, oddly child-like. Almost as though he was getting scolded by his father instead of his friend’s uncle.
“Steve, I don’t want to hear it,” Wayne said, “Because neither of you are going to stop, are you? Not when that girl’s life is on the line.”
They both shook their heads and it was enough to have Wayne groaning again.
“I don’t want to believe you,” Wayne finally said, “I haven’t heard anything like this since I was a kid. Boys, this is just too damn much!”
“Wait, what?” Nancy asked, her soft voice ignored as Eddie jumped in.
“But it’s true! I swear it is! Think of all the weird shit that happens here, Wayne. A kid came back from the dead. You know this town is messed up!”
Steve was still going for a more meek approach, “Are you really that mad?”
“You’re damn right I’m mad!” Wayne snapped again, “The two of you have been risking your lives for - I don’t even know! Why would you-”
“No, wait,” Nancy interrupted, firm enough to get all eyes back on her, “What did you say before? The thing about when you were a kid?”
“Nothing, nothing,” Wayne said with a wave of the hand, “Just old ghost stories.”
“But what ghost stories?”
Wayne shrugged, “Just… something crazy. It doesn’t matter.”
“But what if it does?” Nancy pressed, “What happened to Will is probably known as a ghost story around here now, and it was at the center of everything. We have no reason to think whatever this is started with him. What if it started before?”
“She’s right,” Dustin chimed in, “What happened when you were a kid?”
Wayne sighed, rubbing a hand over his face as he spoke, “There was a man who lived on the other side of town, in that abandoned house with the stained glass. Killed his whole family. Snapped all their limbs apart like some kind of monster. They never even explained how he managed it, let alone what he did to his son. They never found his body. But he was insane not magic. He sewed his own eyes shut after, never admitting to what he did. Victor Creel doesn’t have anything to do with my kids being stupid-”
“That was his name?” Nancy interrupted, “Victor Creel? What happened to him?”
“I think he’s still at the asylum,” Wayne said, “He got a plea deal, because he was off his damn rocker. Haven’t heard anything about him since.”
Nancy turned to Chrissy, her brow raised, “Does the stained glass ring any bells?”
Chrissy blinked at her, “I-maybe?”

*mischievous laugh* mueheheh
hypothetically, what if reader dies? 😈 what will poor megumi and tsumiki do now? what would gojo do too? 🥸
um… hello??? what is wrong with—
okay, so let’s start off with the simplest reaction. megumi is out for vengeance.
it’s clear that he’s got a bit of a… sadistic nature to him (undefined by whatever morals normal people have, yeah whatever). but why is he strong if not to protect the world from evil things? why does he have power if he’s not supposed to use it?
so, you being a jujutsu sorcerer, it’s likely that you died fighting a curse. if that’s the case, megumi is hunting that curse down and eliminating it in an instant. and then he keeps going. he’s going to kill every curse he can find, because you shouldn’t have died.
if anyone doesn’t deserve to die, it’s you.
and while megumi can hear your words in his head, telling him to protect others, to take care of people, to stay with his family… if you’re gone, what does it matter?
megumi will live in his anger. he doesn’t need depression or acceptance. what he needs is you, and if he can’t have you anymore…
and then there’s tsumiki. she wouldn’t feel angry, like megumi, but lost.
it’s obvious that she believes there’s a sort of destiny within the world. she thinks that all bad things happen so that the good things, the truly good things, can come next. she believes that you have to feel pain to feel pleasure. she trusts this idea.
before you die, tsumiki isn’t afraid of anything.
but after you die, she loses her purpose. her ideals, her faith in the world.
she goes from the trusting little girl who would believe satoru if he told her that he was really a robot with a human heart inside of him, from the girl who took everything at face value, believed that all people should protect each other, help each other—
she goes from your little girl to something entirely different.
what’s the point of this? she wonders. if her mom had to die to bring her to you and satoru, she understands. if she and megumi had to take care of themselves for a year—living in some apartment that didn’t have running water—just to find a real family, then it was worth it.
but what’s worth it if you’re dead? what’s the point to losing another mom, another person that tsumiki was supposed to help take care of?
she can’t do anything, though. she’s always been the most powerless of her family members. and after you die, she’s not your little girl anymore.
she’s just lost.
and, of course, satoru.
i think he shares the same grief that both megumi and tsumiki feel—anger, denial—but he’s older than them. he loves you differently than they ever could.
there was a time when satoru had pushed you away just to get back to that place where he was nothing but strong. where his feelings had no bearing in his power, where emotions didn’t matter as long as he was the honored one.
but, really, if it takes you dying to get back to that place—then satoru never wants to be strong again.
when suguru died, satoru was committed to carrying out his plans. to protecting sorcerers from a world forged against them. he wanted to train a generation of sorcerers who didn’t have to worry about dying with regrets, who could take care of themselves along with all of the non-sorcerers in the world.
to eradicate cursed energy, in whatever capacity.
but when you die, satoru loses all that purpose. why should he care about the world when he no longer has to protect you from it?
why should he care at all?
so, just like after riko died, satoru is back to being nothing but a vessel for power. he doesn’t care who he kills, what he kills, as long as it has some meaning, some pointless purpose that doesn’t matter to him.
but, it only takes one memory of you to snap him out of it. he can almost feel you clawing at his chest, your voice begging him to take care of them.
so, eventually, satoru finds his way home. he’s got two other people to protect.
and he’ll be damned if anything happens to them.

a.n - this took wayyyy too long for me to write 😭

You’ve been standing at Seungmin’s door for almost ten minutes now, contemplating if you should knock. Before you can second guess yourself into spontaneous combustion, the door swings open and reveals a nervous looking Seungmin. He has a blush painted on his cheeks and his deep boba eyes have a little extra sparkle to them.
“Did you get lost or something? You took forever,” And there goes the moment. You roll your eyes and walk right past him into his house. You’re immediately met with a fragrance you know all too well.
“Do you want anything? Food? Drink?” Seungmin smiles. He looks like a puppy and it is ridiculous. How are you supposed to stay mad at him?
“No thanks.” You can hear the nervousness in your voice and pray that he doesn’t.
“So uh- fuck,” Seungmin sits on the couch next to you and blows out a frustrated breath. A twinge of relief courses through your veins at the sound of his shaky syllables and your mouth threatens to twitch into a smile.
“Your place is really nice,” You say sincerely. This is one of the first times you’ve stepped into a clean house inhabited by just a man.
“Oh,” Seungmin’s blush intensifies, “Thanks.” You nod and look around, waiting for him to say something. “Thank you for coming.” He wonders why you’re having this effect on him. You’re making him embarrassed of himself and he hates it.
“What did you want to talk about?” Now is his chance, Seungmin thinks to himself. You are quite literally giving him the opening he so desperately needs to shoot his shot.
“I wanted to see if you would help me with this project,”
He fumbled the bag, as per usual. Seungmin has to fight the physical urge to hit himself right there.
You, on the other hand, are ecstatic. Or, atleast, you would like to be. You should be. The guy you’ve done everything in your power to make like you is now asking for your help. But then your trust issues come to light. Right now you need to think about your mental stability. If whatever he’s trying to do ends poorly, you have no idea how you’d recover from it. The familiar twinkle is back in his eyes, the same twinkle that got you into this situation. But as soon as you open your mouth, his sparkle diminishes.
-
“So let me get this straight. Feel free to stop and correct me at any moment.” Hyunjin sighs dramatically on the other end of the phone, “You told him that you had more important things to do than help him? You little fucking sado-masochist.”
You wince, “Okay, yeah, I suppose I deserve that.”
“You’re damn right you do. I don’t think in my 21 years of living- or hell even in our 6 years of friendship- that I’ve seen someone be so stupid. And you are far from stupid.” You frown. “No offense, I love you and all but damn.”
You cover up your flustered face with your hands, thankful that he can’t see you. “I know-” You whine, “I panicked. Like- what the hell was I supposed to say?”
Hyunjin snorts “Hmm. How about Sure Seungmin, of course I’d love to help you. Maybe now we can bond and I can jump your bones like I’ve always wanted to.” You choke on air and your face turns such a deep red that you’d might as well cosplay as a tomato.
“I don’t want to jump his bones, nor have I ever wanted to.” You lie straight through your teeth. Who are you kidding? The amount of attention he gives you is much more than any past boyfriend has ever shown you. Despite it being negative, you’re constantly finding yourself craving it- craving him.
“You’re a fucking liar. Are you planning your own demise?” Your best friend scoffs. You sink into your bed and pray for it to swallow you whole. You’d never get that lucky, though. “Here’s what you’re gonna do: first you’re going to shut up and let me speak without groaning and or scoffing every five seconds. Then I’m going to hang up on you and you’re gonna call Seungm- what did I say about voicing your grievances.” You can’t help it. You don’t think you have the confidence to speak to Seungmin again after today. Like ever.
“What do you think I should say?”
“This might come as a shock to you so be prepared,” You scowl immediately, “A normal person would apologize,” Hyunjin goes silent, as if he’s waiting for you to go off on him.
“Why the fuck would I have to apologize? And what do you mean by a normal person? Are you insinuating that I’m not normal?” You’re teetering on the line between bawling your eyes out and screaming until your lungs give out. You decide on the latter and put your phone on speaker, tossing it to your side before grabbing the nearest pillow and screaming into it.
“I appreciate you subjecting me to the ear piercing screech that sounds like it emerged straight from hell.”
“Remind me why I’m friends with you again?” You pick your phone back up.
“Because I’m Hwang Hyunjin. Who doesn’t want to be friends with me?”
“Dick,” you mutter. He laughs and scolds you again before hanging up.
-
A few hours - and two glasses of wine - later, you’re sitting on your kitchen counter with your phone balancing on your thigh while you nurse your third glass. You know you should’ve stopped at one. You know yourself well enough to realize that you get a little chaotic when tipsy. Which is exactly the reason that Seungmin’s contact is
[You] - im sorry… delete
[You] - im actually in love with you and have been for the past 2 years… delete
You have to fight the physical urge to beat your head off the wall. What was wrong with you? It shouldn’t be that difficult to apologize- or at least explain yourself. You groan into your hands, using your palms to muffle the sound. You swear that your neighbors must hate you by now; the walls in your apartment complex are too thin for them not to.
The options presented to you, you think, are either a) you apologize, which is the most unlikely scenario, b) you wait for Seungmin to apologize, actually that might be the least likely possibility, c) you ask Hyunjin to talk to Seungmin for you, or d) you move on with your life and pray that he gives up on you.
Is that the smartest answer? Absolutely not. Is it the safest? Most definitely. At this point you’re debating just staying in bed forever or moving to a different country.
What you didn’t realize, however, was that you’d underestimate just how much you affect him.
Every waking moment, it seems, he’s thinking about you. How you smile. Your outfit. Maybe he likes the way you did your hair. Seungmin notices everything about you. If you’ve changed anything, your mood, body language. He sees everything.
He’s straight up fixated on you lately. Seungmin’s been thinking: maybe it’s for the best that you indirectly rejected you. Maybe he dodged a bullet and saved himself from becoming borderline obsessed,
But then Seungmin opens Instagram, a picture of you in a dress that he wishes he was the only one seeing you in, and he changes his mind.
He’s not going to stop until you’re his, come hell or high water.
