Hihihi!!! Sorry this has been sitting in my ask for a bit I've been trying to find the time and energy to put down my thoughts!

The general overview is, I think I definitely see the faults people had with it, I think the book is hard to fix and even with the changes there are certain beats they HAVE to hit because of the music, but I also think it has so many gems and this show is so well acted like I find the good far out weighs the bad for me. It's just really engaging grand theater to meee it can be so silly and fun but also really hit with these very earnest moments 🥺, also considering all the drama and tragedy it is surprISINGLY HILARIOUS!! I was giggling so much in act 1. Like RIP to the person sitting next to me who had to see me grip my face and GASP every time something wild happened lmaooo. GOD JUST AHHHHHH SOME OF THOSE MOMENTS WENT SO HARD!!!! Here I'll try my best to narrow some down jk I did a horrible job at narrowing down

- AH that imagery of the single tree in the snow at the very top of the show. Lovely.

-the entire scene with the wedding gone wrong is just soo good and like a mini show on its own with its own little arc. I was so charmed by Phillipa and Andrew's chemistry fr fr so good! I could probably fill a whole post with just moments from this bit!

-When Guinevere is below the right side of the stage (I was sitting to the left)and when she hears the knights refer to him as King her head just slooooooooowly pops into view like 👁️👁️

(consult ur doctor to see if hypnosis is right for u lmaooo that's my legal disclaimer here). in popular media, at least, hypnosis fucks with your memory. if we take the bit in the giann is a mastermind theory, the one where he's hiding in plain sight at the giannovyn mental research center, then it makes sense for him to get his memory wiped. he's out of the playing field, might as well make sure that he stays out until vyn is ready to bring him back into play (as per a mutual agreement. you can't hypnotize someone into doing something they don't wanna do.)

alas, as you've said, it's been a while since this theory was posted. what are my thoughts now? well, it's not looking pretty, people. so: giann is one of the only people without a sprite that is important to the story. take marius' personal story 4: the main perpetrator of the impersonation was someone who's sprite was introduced that same chapter. giann was introduced in a flashback via marius' rrg card. so, following this logic: i don't think giann is going to get a sprite. i feel like he's dead. galena does a really good job as breaking down why she thinks giann is dead in the post you linked (and i shall also link here) and after a good chunk of the year and how i see the story progression going, i stand firmly with galena on this one.

theres also a thing i've been thinking about related to this and ironically, the fic i'm writing. galena, in her post, talks about how memory is an important part of the game, and also links this post by zak about memory. why is this important specifically? because of the effects of the nxx drug/flora x/X03A. i have a running theory on luke being affected by the drug which then leads to his illness, and in his anni card it states that it's neurological. it checks with how the drug itself works: "It affects the brain in many different ways. In children still developing it causes delays in growth. In adults, it makes them unstable, prone to depression or other mental ails." (that's,,, a quote for the fic i'm writing LMAOO) so who's to say the drug doesn't cause memory loss? what if giann is afflicted with the same stuff luke has, only it's worse on him? that the reason he doesn't have a sprite is because he lost himself?

*shrug* there's a lot of things that it could be. the theory holds up if you look at it through that lens, but i'm more inclined to say that they offed giann. after all, that makes for more conflict in the nxx and sometimes conflict drives the story. it all depends on your point of view.

the loneliness, ohhhh the loneliness. i find it so interesting how u manage to isolate ur mcs from the rest of the world in so many ways and then always dig INTO what that means for a person and how it affects them. it's always so tragic too :((( let me give your mcs a good ol' hug, every single one of them :((((((

and even when they have people around them it does nothing for them, often makes it even worse. like here, yeosang likes to play his games but ultimately does not really care for y/n when it comes down to it, mingi (my BOY <33333 *sobs* i lov him) is sweet and kind and the closest thing to a friend they have but ultimately can't do a whole much for them, can't protect them from the court's games or even really be there for them, and for hongjoong, at least i feel like, this whole thing is just about possession. i don't believe that he loves y/n, i don't even think he likes them very much, but in his eyes they're his after all the time spent together and every time they have challenged him in the past and he WILL make them realize it by having them completely dependent on him.

i think that's what his whole "you will ask for my help" schtick is really about: wanting the mc to be so vulnerable and so helpless and defenseless that they have no other way to go but to him. and marrying san would save them from exactly that: their mother, who would want to elevate their pain as much as she can from how far away she is, would want the best for them suggested him, and even mingi, who seems to be at least a little in love with y/n, has nothing bad to say about him. and it makes it all even sadder imo: knowing so well that marrying san would save them from so much pain, and maybe they could have a better, happier life even. and instead, from the looks of it, they're getting pulled straight into the black hole because hongjoong and his stupid little ego can't stand not being all-powerful💀

I suppose I will start writing about the concerts I go to again just for fun.

I've been to so many live houses at this point that I'm always a bit surprised when there's one I've never even heard of in the city. I mean, I'm sure there are tons and tons more, but I assume they're primarily for genres I don't go to anyway. STEP UP BOYS (ｶﾘ) didn't have it on their long long list of dates forever so I almost missed that they had one more Osaka live tbh. It was during a stream one day Oe was like telling someone from not Osaka to go then I appeared "MISHA YOU TOO IF YOU CAN.. PLEASE COME.." Like sure my bro i got u.

I've been VERY TIRED this month for reasons that pretty much all lead back to work so I won't get into it, but I wasn't even sure if I could muster up enough energy to go into front row for SUB. The fact that it's a 1hr trip (one way) is pretty draining in itself. Luckily music tends to reactivate my brain so I was a functioning adult when bands were playing. But the live was "運動会" so all the bands brought songs where people can move around a lot (two step, circle mosh, etc)

So I started off in the back for Free Aqua Butterfly. I think this is technically my third time seeing them?? I thought there were four members but there were only three? Or was someone just blocking my view of a member the whole time? I feel like last time the Saki didn't sing as much as she did this time?? I don't know, maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Anyway, FAB is fun, I don't mind when they play at events.

I honestly did not stay inside to watch びわ湖くん (what sort of fish was he supposed to be anyway lmao)

I didn't really stick around for live kids aruaru person's DJ set at that point and hung out in the bar area. Slingshot Million2 was OK. Didn't love them, didn't hate them.

After they finished I took my place in front row @ the center because I don't know how to not be extra I guess. Also, I think Oyuu would be sad if I wasn't there for him. I probably would have regretted hanging out in the back anyway. By the end though my arm felt like lead I could barely keep it up lmaooo They didn't do アルテマ even though it is THE two step song. But they started off with time show, they did pusherman, pumpkin napkin, and that new song Light My Fire. I feel like there was one more?? OH RIGHT Rep(ly) me again!!! Idk how to write リプ in romaji without it looking weird. Idk how that slipped my mind at first since it was probably the one I was most pumped for yesterday LMAO. At least there wasn't that song where we have to kick up right leg in time to the beat because I am not prepared for leg day also I have terrible balance and almost always fall over LMAO not that they haven't seen my fall on my ass before... but you know. Last time they did pumpkin iirc they had people pretend to be cats with the wall of death but this time they had everyone turn around and walk backwards to touch butts for the wall of death. edit re setlist: wow i forgot about Can&豪 too. I JUST LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCh and am forever mad that the physical cd is sold out. lmaoooooooooooo I had had a bad feeling from the _by_2024 part to their hashtag they'd added recently and then at Oe's bday live they announced that in 2 years if their oneman isn't a success Oe's going to stop playing on stage (and I guess act like a manager full time) which is just a depressing thought I hate when they bring it up and they're bringing it up every time am I going to have 2 years of hearing this at every MC 😭😭😭

After that I was hanging out at the bar and suddenly the was a big commotion and they were asking everyone to make space etc. From what I've put together this guy's blood sugar dropped and he passed out? Maybe? And hurt his leg. They dragged him out of the main room into the lobby to wait for the paramedics and I gotta say I love the concert scene with everyone looking out for each other. Another guy was so shitfaced drunk at the concert and they were looking out for him too.

VOI SQUARE CAT -- I mean I wouldn't mind seeing them again. They were fun? The singer has a really great voice. I just don't think there's anything at the moment that really made my brain go brrr and so I don't have any particular desire to check them out again after. But if they play again at a concert I go to, I'd watch it.

Then I was hanging out with R and she introduced me to two of her friends, one of which had come from Tokyo to see SUB. It's funny like She loves Oe, another loves Zuma, R loves Shoma, and here I am as an Oyuu fan. So we had everyone covered 😂 Though they talked about how certain members wont look them in the eye etc and i'm like "hm I've never thought that about any of them" but also sometimes I wish they wouldn't look at me? I just want to be a mess in front row in peace </3

Oe came over to talk to us then he started asking me like seriously, hand on my shoulder, "Misha are you ok" and legit worried about me & my mental state because all I do is say on twitter that I'm tired these days. Oopsies sorry my bro. He also brought up wanting to learn English again so when we took our cheki together he was like "let's pose like we're studying English" and there you have the "I study English..."

Oyuu and I are as awkward as always. He has this really stupid joke like it's so stupid and not funny that I can't stop myself from laughing at it every single time he says it ("1, 2, sushi~!" whenever he counts down for taking cheki). He had to ask me "Misha is it really that funny" me like "the way you say it.........." 😂 Taking cheki with Oyuu and he asks "Misha what are we going to do for a pose" me like always"Idk" and suddenly I had an arm around me. OK that's fine Oyuu!!! I'll accept that!!! Today he remembered the ♨ mark on the cheki. My friend had named him Hot Water when we went to see them one time because his name oyuu is like hot water in Japanese (oyu/お湯) and he's been drawing it on cheki ever since but he forgot on Halloween.

At one point Ryo came out and he had this big fluffy jacket on and Oe hugged him and snuggled up against the hood and was like "wow I could fall asleep like this" because the jacket was so soft and everyone is just taking pictures of it while I stand there like "lol" I kind of miss being that obsessed with specific members of bands but at the same time nah I'm gucci

zuma was wearing a shark shirt but apparently he hates/has a fear of sharks because of an encounter he had as a kid. "It was probably a baby shark but I was a tot so it seemed HUGE"

While I was waiting for them to write on the cheki you could probably see the life visibly draining from me. I didn't watch the last band or stay around for any tomfoolery afterwards because I just wanted to go home and eat dinner and sleep😭😭😭

you know, that at the end of the night, that it’s you he’ll be thinking about, and you take that, using it to your advantage.

you are dressed to the nines, the long ball gown you adorn reaching the floor, yet the tasteful slit exposes more skin than usual. people try to talk you up, but you have, really, one true reason for being at the ball tonight. prince oikawa would stay in the palm of your hand whether he wanted to be there or not.

alas, he enters the ballroom with his betrothed, a girl from a neighboring kingdom, and wouldn’t know the difference between her left and right foot even if you told her. too arrogant for her own good despite having nothing to offer the world, she thinks that all of the eyes will be trained on her, when in reality, no one spares more than a millisecond in glancing in her direction, her fiancee included.

what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her, though. and it’s not like she knows much at all.

you are the prince’s royal advisor, his right hand, the brains behind the operation.

the person whose name he moans at night. that’s you, no one else.

he makes his rounds with the ditzy girl glued to his arm, and when he reaches you, you sense the surprise at your gown and how you look exactly like the seductress he dreams of. you know him enough to notice how his gaze shifts for a millisecond before plastering on a fake smile.

“advisor y/l/n.”

you curtsy to both of them, but your body is mainly angled towards him, the action allowing him to sneak a peek under your low cut gown. you know he glances at it; after all, you are his, as he is yours.

“good evening, your highnesses. lovely to see you as well.” you smooth out your dress. “i hope you enjoy yourselves at the ball.”

“yes, this is wonderful,” he murmurs. “i hope to catch you for a waltz.”

“whatever pleases you, sir, i am obliged to follow.”

it’s ironic, the titles you use for him in public, knowing that the roles absolutely reverse behind closed doors. you are too alluring for him not to submit to. it’s a tragedy that you were not born into royalty, but at this point, he thanks the heavens that he still gets to feel your skin against his.

he and the princess walk away from you, though he spares you a glance over his shoulder as you take a sip from your flute of champagne.

the music starts, and it’s a slightly uptempo, but still moderately timed waltz. one of the princes from a neighboring kingdom (though, in some fashion, a rival one as well) takes you for a spin around the ballroom, the attention of the crowd in between the two of you and the crowned prince himself.

“prince sugawara, you had never told me that you were such a good dancer. i would have danced with you much sooner had i known.” you smirked at him.

“all things come in their time,” he teases back. “besides, most of the kingdom is watching the both of us. tonight is the biggest ball of the year, after all.”

“yes,” you affirm. “perhaps you’re not so bad after all, your highness.” you smile at him. you continue to dance for two more songs, before tooru decides that, yes, he had enough of seeing you with him.

“may i have a dance?” tooru murmurs. he ignores his betrothed's glare at the both of you, obviously wanting his attention. “prince sugawara.”

“prince oikawa.” sugawara nods. “wonderful ball we have here this evening.”

“yes, advisor y/l/n planned most of it, it ought to be good.” tooru nods at sugawara. “but i’m confident that you know that.”

“yes,” sugawara smirks. “wonderful job, advisor.”

“they are a fine asset to our kingdom.” tooru affirms. “let us go, advisor?”

“yes, your highness.” you go to take his arm, but sugawara, never one to miss a chance to mess with the other prince, pulls you towards him, giving you a kiss on the cheek.

“i suspect some thanks is in order for that. alas, i simply wanted to see how our little prince fairs when i spend time with what is his.”

you pull him towards you, whispering in his ear that he is just as much yours as you are his, and that tooru knows that as well.

you curtsy towards sugawara, bidding him a good evening, before making your way back towards tooru, who has a scowl on his face.

“i don’t like to be kept waiting,” he says, taking you for a spin around the ballroom as the same waltz begins again.

“i know how impatient you are, my prince, but you need to wipe that scowl off of your face.” you squeeze his hand, hoping that your touch will make him ease up. it does, though just by a tad.

“are we still meeting tonight?”

“if you would like, my prince. my chambers are always open to you, after all.”

“about three quarters of the hour after the ball ends, i will be there.” he guides you for a spin, then moving you into a dip.

“careful there, your highness,” you smirk at him as he pulls you back upright. “you wouldn’t want anyone seeing more of me than you have, would you now, darling?”

“simply giving them a look at what they can’t have, love. fret not, for i am as much yours as you are mine, yes?”

“of course, your highness.”

never one to break a promise, tooru meets you at your quarters, and as your hand wraps around his neck while he fucks you, the red marks that will be left on his otherwise untainted skin will remind him that it is you he loves.

the next morning, after he slips away to retreat back to his betrothed, you kneel on the side of your bed to pray for forgiveness, and that whatever deity listens to your pleas knows not to judge you for your sins but for the contents of your heart.

what you also know, though, is that this won’t be the last time you’ll be praying for forgiveness. after all, it hasn’t stopped you from taking him again and again, has it?

as tooru’s wedding to the princess draws closer, though, you see him less and less. it doesn’t stop altogether, not until the day he is married. and after watching the prince get married to the princess, you let him pull you aside at the ball that follows.

“i’m afraid i cannot continue our situation, advisor.”

though this day was inevitable, you were still a bit taken aback and hurt. you shake it off, and smile at him.

“of course, sir. if you excuse me, i’d like to adjourn myself from the ball. i have some business with the neighboring kingdom.”

he raises an eyebrow at you. “what is it?”

“just some trade agreements to get in order with the prince. nothing out of the ordinary, i should be back by dawn tomorrow.”

oikawa clears his throat. “will you be seeing prince sugawara?”

“i may run into him, yes.” you fight to hide back a smirk. “we have some things to catch up on.” you curtsy to him. “if you excuse me, your bride is looking quite helpless over there. you must, uh, deal with that, i assume?”

he sighs as she struggles to walk in her big dress (one that she had, no doubt, chosen for herself) and runs to her aid with a plastic smile on his face. you duck out, sighing, but you also know he’ll come back. and you were never one to be wrong.

you could recognize his quick raps upon your wooden door any day, but you are alarmed, knowing that the guards must know that he is at your door. you open it for him, not having slept due to the fact that you had just gotten out of your bath.

he steps through the door without invitation. “good evening.”

you raise a brow at him. “very rude of you to intrude, sire. what is it?”

he turns to face you. “you know what i want.”

“tell me.” you don’t miss a beat, never one to let yourself be taken by surprise or seen vulnerable.

he takes a step closer to you. “you already know. i don’t want it to seem that i think less of you and have to say what is in between the lines.”

you smirk, looking at him in disdain. “spell it out for me, tooru. tell me how i am the only one that you want, that i’m the only one that can satisfy you, and that you belong to me.”

“no.”

“fine.” you motion towards the door with your eyes and a quirk of your head. “get out.”

“and what am i? who am i?”

the air is silent, poised with words unsaid and memories of the unholy things.

“you…” he takes another step closer to you. he caresses your cheek as you feel your back press against the cold stone wall of your palace chambers, but you both know who remains in control.

you’d never thought a king would kneel in front of you, especially in your own chambers, but he is on his knees, his head bowed like you were a deity sent to be in his presence, like he was unworthy to serve you, let alone be in your presence.

“you are the person who owns me, body, heart, mind and soul.” he murmurs to you. “and i am but your humble servant.”

“good. up, tooru.”

her glare falters, her grip on her dagger loosening, and you take it out of her grasp.

“he will never need you like he needs me, never want you like he wants me, and never fuck you like he fucks me. you are disposable, and you will never be his.” you take her dagger with you as you walk to the other side of the castle to attend a meeting, but not before she attempts to tackle you. you merely take a step to the side as she faceplants on the floor. you look down at her desperation, wanting to make her plead.

“please…” she murmurs helplessly. “no more.”

you lean towards her on the ground.

a simple word of dissent falls from your lips as her tears begin to cascade.

Before you even THINK about performing step 1, he will read the entire fucking leaflet like it’s a Shakesperean monologue.

The complete opposite of Ushi

Does everything wrong and the unconventional way.

Absolute disaster but doesn’t even sweat it since Tendou basically thrives in chaos and the disorderly.

To him instructions are purely equivocal, will read them for five seconds then toss them away.

Step aside Gordon Ramsey, Chef Tendou is here.

Despite doing everything the unorthodox way it still comes out amazing.

While you’re waiting for the timer to ping, Satori being the schemer he is will use this as an opportunity to pull some fuckery and tease you in any way he can.

Unholy activities aside, once your baking session is completed you finish it off by feeding PHAT forkfuls of brownie to each other and giggling like dorks when it gets all over your mouth.

The jackass actually got a fingerful and SMEARED it over your cheek and forehead, drawing a little cross and snickering when the crumbs fall onto your nose.

Tendou was smart to draw a cross bc he gonna need jesus with the ATTACK you launch on him after that, which promptly leads to an all out food war in your kitchen that neither of you want to clean up after ward.

Don’t worry though it’s Tendou, he’ll somehow find a way to make such a mundane activity fun.

Nishinoya:

stirs WAY TOO VIOLENTLY

IT’S LIKE AN ELECTRIC WHISK ON OVERDRIVE.

IT WILL SPLATTER OVER THE COUNTER, CUPBOARDS AND EVERYTHING YOU HOLD DEAR WITHIN A 1 MILE RADIUS.

You best believe he will try and eat some of the batter and you have to swat the spoon away from his mouth since he has NO REGARD FOR THE FACT HE COULD GET SALMONELLA.

Plus you know what Noya’s like once he starts eating something the whole thing will be gone in a matter of milliseconds.

He somehow managed to get Baking powder EVERYWHERE and even gave him self a little moustache with it.

The white substance kinda looked like something else but you didn’t really wanna say lmaooo.

could explain why he has so much energy all the time oK ILL STOP-

While you’re putting the mix on the tray he is SO extra and will do fancy lil swirls and over extend his arm like a swan to gracefully spread the batter

until he nearly fucking knocks it over.

During processing time since he is so excitable and impatient you best believe he’s gonna suggest a game of ping pong or something because my guy can well and truly never sit still.

ping pong match with the spatulas, kitchen island and a hard boiled egg.

Pls be careful he will rolling thunder that egg and pimp slap it so hard with the spatula it’ll damn near give you a concussion, not intentionally, but like protect your noggin. Wear a helmet.

For the remaining 5 minutes of baking time y’all just sit like kids in front of the oven and watching it rise like starved hyena’s observing it’s pray before demolishing it into sad particles of cocoa.

And lemme tell u, once the timer pings, that baking tray is free real estate for Noya. Half of your creation will be devoured before you can even put it on a plate and marvel at your handiwork.

Such a dramatic bitch like he got the whole she-bang going on.

Proceeds to drop entire bowl on his foot and yelp like a little girl in pain.

Once they’re done he takes the tray out of the oven and since it was heavy, subconsciously propped it with his knee and nearly dropped the entire tray from the pain. (I’ve actually done this before when making chicken nuggets I do not advise being that brain dead)

I don’t know I just write? Lol I’m no professional. I write like how I see the world I guess? How I think about things, especially something impactful for the day, I’d think back on that moment way too often, memorize every detail. Lol that’s why I remember so much nonsense about high school and college😩😩Usually I do dialogue first then like three edits for details and scenery 🤷🏻‍♀️ then I have like a side notes for stuff I want to happen and things I should remember later on

Ceo: I don’t know I really just wanted some office crack that sorta makes sense but doesn’t at the same time. stupid ridiculous things happening that no one questions lol also I really wanted to use stuff my little cousins and my friends say 🤡

Dark: lmao oh boy I just wanted some sort of taboo smut, so I wrote that first, then I started detailing tattoos and piercings and scars and a whole bunch of stuff that was way too in depth for just a quick au smut one shot. So I kept the smut on the back burner and tried to write stuff I’d think would happen before that hahaha so now that smut is source material for all body mods. Also I really wanted to write a bad guy Cardan in which, sure there’s a back story, but he’s like not the good guy no fucks about it and a Jude thats naïve and innocent until we realize she really isn’t.

Junior mafia: lol that was really supposed to only be a one shot then I got bombarded w sequel requests and I was like u know what I kinda do wanna explore the ghost being a love interest too... but like for the both of them haha. The first sequel was like me watching fast and furious and true romance and also robbers by the 1975, but the last two updates were really me not being in a good place and just writing nonsense to piss myself off lol 😩 idk when I’ll ever revisit that, but I think you can tell my heart wasn’t in it by the last update.

Pregnancy: I just got a a lot of requests for pregnant jurdan and I was like??? Idk about pregnancy??? (I still don’t and here I am 13 weeks pregnant lmao) I literally thought of like a parasite lmao all I knew was like that one scene in alien v predator, rosemarys baby, Juno and some weird nightmares I chronically have lmaooo but I’m like eh I can probably do something and put it all in the same setting? Tried to go for humor so that’s why it sometimes maybe seems like it should be bulked in with ceo, but there are some soft moments like the spring flower and some more serious toned ones like cardans reaction and what not. And some (one) smut lol

Rockstar: my dearest. I do love all my aus but rockstar really holds a special space in my heart. I had actually written the concept back in high school, just brain storming with my best friend who used to love my writing lmao I literally promised I’d write rockstar for her. It was a lot different then, but I think I wrote three chapters and sent it to her to ~review~ and she sent it back with all these pink comments everywhere. Originally they were OCs named David and Juliet (and a third guy named Rafe) and the concept was a little bit different; Jules and David have been friends since kids, Jules was far more outgoing and bubbly, David was more stoic, unmoved by anything except in regards to Jules, then this small band came about, Rafe was the lead singer and somehow became involved with David, pulling him into the band on the rise of fame while his relationship w Jules struggled until they finally grew apart. Then they meet again 4 years later. I had it outlined and stuff but forgot about it for years really. Then last summer my best friend passed away. She had brain cancer so we were expecting it, but it still sucked. I was going through old texts and photos and emails and I found the story I’d sent her all marked up in pink and for that whole week from her death to her funeral, I couldn’t stop thinking about the story. I ended up writing like the first 10 chapters when I came back from her funeral, tweaked it A LOT to fit in all the characters and stuff, and with taryn now involved, a lot of what happened to juliet in the original is actually split now between Jude and her (so spoiler? Easter egg?) as with Cardan and ghost/Garret, and Rafe became ~the embodiment~ of DeathSweet and our uncle randy LOL anyways basically rockstar is her story that I’d promised.
