Pietro is his mother painted to look like his father, aka, why Pietro is Magneto’s least favorite.
It’s established quite a few times that Magneto and Pietro look quite similar. while i maintain that his paleness is because of his mutation and he’d look more like Wanda without it it’s still obvious in his facial structure.
However, if we’re being honest that’s about where the similarities end with him and Magneto.
Magneto is extremely calculating to the point of coming across as cold. While he’s capable of more emotion than a lot of people give him credit for he’s in control of most all of them, minus anger. He usually has a much grander plan in mind.
Pietro, however, is impulsive as all hell. He has seemingly forever to think about things but he still doesn’t. Love, anger, sadness, annoyance, and the whole spectrum of human emotion is displayed in him the moment he feels something. When he comes across as bored and disinterested it’s because he is, he’s been living in this moment multiple times longer than anyone else in the room. He’s also been known to do things that are undeniably stupid and desperate. Like running away from his adoptive father when confronted about theft, resulting in losing his parents to a fire he could have saved them from if there. And ya know. The crystals.
Very unlike magneto. But you know who shares a similar penchant for emotion? Magda Eisenhardt. When she finds out her husband is a mutant and daughter is dead she literally runs into the woods while heavily pregnant. Then running away again from Wungadore, probably dying as a result of her decision. This woman was impulsive and emotionally expressive, and it got her killed.
This brings us back to Pietro who, to Magneto, is a young mirror of himself with his dead wife’s words constantly leaving his mouth. It’s not acceptable that he’s so blatantly terrible to Pietro, but i can see why it happened.
