You ever get neck deep in a long WIP using a character you revived from 20+ years ago that you didn’t RP with much but thought about using as a pseudonym and now after using that character’s name like a shitton over the course of the last few months and feeling super comfy with it have the realization that oh hey yeah this is why I used to like that name and then something shifts into place and you think well shit fuck maybe this name belongs to me after all and you have some kind of Possible Gender Moment?
Haha me neither.

10 Questions
Created by the always lovely @milkyway-writes!
Rules: Answer 10 questions, ask 10 questions and then tag some friends and fellow writeblrs!
1. What genre do you want to write for but haven’t gotten around to yet?
Sci-fi/solarpunk/cyberpunk, but I feel I’m not clever enough for it tbh, like, I don’t have the smarts to casually learn about physics, you feel me?
2. What are some tropes you like to see (no matter how cheesy)?
‘oh no there’s only one bed’, fake dating, coffee shop AU, enemies/rivals-to-lovers, and ‘the kids solve a mystery’ are tropes I can never get enough of. just...a lot of UST. so much of it. slow burn me away.
3. What tropes do you dislike and why?
crackfic, non-con, mpreg, crossover... i honestly believe crackfic is only the most fun for the writer and their incredibly tight circle of friends who helped create it. not to say there is anything wrong with that, but as an outsider looking in it is too much for me. non-con is obvious...and i mean in the sense where it’s a very active part of the story. a character who has experienced non-con can be handled well. mpreg...nah. and crossovers also get too messy in my opinion.
4. What does your writing space look like? (Or your ideal writing space)
i have two versions: my desk at work (tidy, organized, cute plants, constantly switching tabs on my screen just in case), and at home (dying laptop, cross-legged on the couch, hunched like an absolute gremlin with no bra on). i prefer my desk at work, unfortunately i don’t have a similar set up at home.
5. What do you like to snack on when you work on your WIP/writing?
cups of tea i will always forget about, whatever chocolate i can get my hands on, salty snacks like chips and popcorn. also cereal, but cereal is like...a life line for me lol
6. If you were transported into one of your projects, which would you rather be in? Which would be the worst?
the best one would probably be stardew valley? i mean???? the worst one though...maybe my bnha fic cause i am soft and that one is very action driven and combative. my (still untitled) nano wip is basically my city but with d&d races and that would be SO DOPE.
7. If you went on a date with an OC, which OC would you choose? How would it go?
they would all be a mess if i’m being honest LOL like... with saga it would be drinking in a bar and a conversation would turn way too real way too fast; kestrel would probably create a situation that we would have to immediately get away from; cork would be drunk, like, the entire time; marlowe is probably too cool for me; and terris... i mean??? we’d probably hang out on a rooftop and eat shitty convenience store food and there would be absolutely nothing romantic about it whatsoever but it would be pretty chill.
...this question made me realize i just want to hang out with my OCs as friends LOL
8. What’s something you’d like to see more of in the Writeblr community here on Tumblr?
i’m not too sure. if i’m being honest i feel pretty dumb about the writeblr community outside of the group of friends i made during nano (love you guys to bits), so i don’t even think i know the full scope of what goes on. like...people have amazing tag systems and they have intro posts to their work and i’m over here like
‘(: i made’d dis pls like me’
9. Do you have any scraped WIP ideas you would like to go back to?
maybe? i don’t delete anything, so they all just collect in various stages. i definitely want to get back to my drarry one cause i actually really love the voice i found for it, but i feel a lot of expectation to continue with EIOANIB since i’ve like...put it out there on ao3. honestly i want to get back to all of my WIPs. i miss them D:
10. Name something you’re proud of achieving this year.
i wrote an entire first draft of a book in a month. not only did i participate in nano for the first time after wanting to for 12 years, i surpassed the word goal and got that story down, start to finish, on paper. i’m still riding that high tbh? and now i’m thinking of setting another insane goal to carry me through the revision process for it.
10 questions from me!
1.  If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
2.  How do you select the names of your characters?

5. What time of day do you usually find yourself writing?
6. Any tropes you can’t resist putting in your WIP?
7. Coffee? Tea? Cocaine?
8. Have you ever made yourself cry from writing?
9. Which OC would be your best friend IRL?
