Hello! I don't know if this is useful to anyone other than me, but I decided to try compiling a list of Shinee's shows + links (eng sub). I've created a metadata Database so all entries can be easily tagged and searched according to needs/wants. I don't have links to every show ever, but I do largely have links to more recent stuff (will slowly update to adding older stuff too).

daithí is a single dad living in henford with his teenage daughter felicity. they’ve got a quaint house on a quiet road with an open garden.

things had always been rocky with his long term girlfriend. hoping that things would get better between them when felicity came along, they soon realised that things just weren't going to work. they split up not long after felicity turned four, and daithí decided it was best for her to stay with him because her mother travels for work. nowadays they co-parent with felicity staying with him on the weekdays.

daithí is a veteran daniel stan. he’s been following daniel’s career since before his big popularity boom. he has very proudly collected every single episode of ‘your dad’s garage’ and has them neatly arranged in order of their release date. he bought a very pricey signed poster on e-bay that probably isn’t even legit and he has a little backyard space dedicated to crafting items made on the show. he’s not great but he tries! he doesn’t really watch them for the carpentry tips anyways, there are more interesting things to look at in the show.. 👀 he also made some bootleg merch from a t-shirt printing store that says “#1 daniel fan”

up until last year daithí worked as a caretaker for the library across the road. he had no problem with the job but decided to give it up to pursue his hobby as a career. he’s always had a passion for drink making, and now runs his own craft beer business from his backyard. he sells it on to local pubs and its been pretty successful!

seeing as he works from his garden and he’s in the house alone on the weekends, he decided to partner up with the nearby vet shelter to take some dogs off their hands. he fosters puppies and tries his best to house train them alongside his own four dogs. the place is usually pretty hectic with dogs doing zoomies throughout the whole house but it’s something he’ll never regret getting himself into.

daithí has absolutely no idea any of this is happening. he doesn’t know what ‘kiss me in komorebi’ is, nor does he understand the concept of a bachelor challenge. felicity’s decided not to tell him about the application unless he secures a place, fearing that he might get his hopes up too much.

some fun facts:

everyone always asks him what the meaning behind his face tattoo is. he tells them that it’s a very personal and meaningful reason that he’d rather not share, when in reality he just got it on a drunken night out as a teenager.

he’s the calloway twin’s uncle on their mom’s side. cillian thinks he’s cool but cathal is scared of him. he thinks he’s too loud 😭

he has the strongest accent in the family, and it’s really bad. like it’s difficult to understand what he’s even saying if you don’t know him.

felicity really wanted a septum piercing for her birthday one year, but she was too scared to get it done. daithí made a promise to her that he’d get it done with her so she wouldn’t be as nervous. so now they’ve got matching piercings!

if he does get a part in the show, it’s going to be very difficult to get him to do any of the ‘outdoor enthusiast’ challenges that the producers might have in store. he absolutely hates the cold and is very much a comfort zone kinda guy when it comes to danger.

he’s a big grump in the mornings, but a cup of tea will usually fix that.

i can't stop thinking about what if Sylvie had stabbed Loki instead of kissing him

Spoilers for season 2 episode 1

Thinking about Loki running as best he can with a fresh wound.

The time slipping makes it even worse. It stretches it and looks like the ever-branching timeline

He's running around the past and present TVA, leaving a trail of blood wherever and whenever he goes.

By the time he finally does get to Mobius, there's blood all across his torso.

Mobius immediately running to him, taking off his jacket to try and stop the bleeding.

Loki holds on to Mobius as he's led out of the room, trying to express the urgency of He Who Remains and wondering why no one seems to care about it. Then he releases his grip from Mobius' arm and leaves a bloody handprint, thinking for half a moment that he's hurt him.

That's when he looks down and remembers he was stabbed.

Mobius leads him to an infirmary to patch him up.

"She stabbed me, and then she kicked me through a Time Door "

"Well, I would ask who won, but..."

"....it was a draw."

"....you both stabbed each other and kicked each other through Time Doors simultaneously?"

OKAYOKAY, question because a lot of people have different answers in the Deltarune community and I wanna hear your take on it!

How long do you think the Ads have been around? Time clearly moves differently from the light world versus the dark world, with Jevil being in jail "for an odd hundred years" and the darkners having full backstories supposedly on a portal that seems open yesterday. (Personally, I like to think they always existed and the dark world only made them personally accessible to the lightners [double-sided since they interact daily] within that day. Especially since the "Spamton is 45, May 3rd 1978." headcannon is near and dear to my heart. I love middle-aged men with trauma. I also REALLY like the idea that Spam was in his early twenties when he was at the peak of his fame, (if they have adolecent years of any kind) and then completely fell off before he reached his thirties. Especially since a lot of people consider that to be the prime of their lives.

On that topic, how long do you think the Adds were friends before Spamton went MIA? Do you think they had some type of childhood years? Is there a significant age gap between any of them? How many years did they have a relationship to where his absence significantly impacted their lives like that? I'd love to hear it <3

I don't think the addisons have such a thing as a 'childhood' or 'adolescent years' actually haha like i imagine them as quite literal programs, who once developed by lightners, just kinda spawn into their cyber world, already familiar with how to operate. The concept of age is irrelevant, but is replaced with 'order of appearance'. Honestly i've always headcanoned spamton as the first addison on the scene, with the next following later. (Online advertisements rlly got hot in the early 90's, so there's a definite gap between him and the rest of the ads).

spamton's just always had that middle-aged shady car salesman vibe to him ever since moment one to me.

i'd feel they were around spamton for quite some time before he got his special call, say a couple years or even close to a decade. enough time to have been a witness of the extent of his desperation, while also getting to know the good side of him to max out their regret by the time we meet them in the trash zone.

but like in the concept of time it's so weird from light world to dark world. Like jevil's been locked away for ~100 years but the extra classroom hasn't been unused for that long presumably? That and spamton's whole deal and timeline. Truly, I've pondered that time also gets a metaphoric transition into the dark world, and becomes weird. Kind of like how the light world characters have a set time compared to us, the players, who are waiting 2+ years for their 'tomorrow'. It's kind of like that but for the dark worlds. I'm clinging to time being sort of ambiguous until it's explained in further chapters :D

i do share the headcanon where the fountain being opened let the dark world be accessible, as we get spade king's whole deal of their world being abandoned=the extra classroom closed and then him like hating lightners.

even if i'm completely wrong lol i will die holding the "spamton is a middle-aged guy with trauma" headcanon so close to my heart and everybody else can try to pry it from my cold dead hands :)

Okay, no, sorry, I’m still mad about this. “Be critical of the media you consume and examine why you react to it in the way that you do, support marginalized and stigmatized identities.” Yeah, until it’s about mental illness.

A woman (or even man, if he’s deemed over-emotional) makes music about suffering from mental illness and people just go, “What are they complaining about, that’s so immature, hashtag wangst.” (And then, sometimes, inexplicably, if the mentally ill woman gets better and writes happier music, they then talk about how artistically bankrupt she is now and that she should go back to hating herself.) People LOVE cis white pRoBLeMaTiC (straight) fictional men until they are realistically mentally ill, in which case they’re “whiny” and “insufferable” and deserve to die violently, apparently (or, if fandom is merciful, they’re ignored). (And then they celebrate when they DO inevitably get killed off.) “Do your duty and watch [thing I, mc13, personally find insufferable] For The (white) Gays because it has Gays.” Sure, will you watch c4 Pure, the ONLY show specifically about OCD, then? (No, the answer is no, it’s always no.)

I can’t get anyone to watch Doom Patrol. I couldn’t get people (in general-I did convince a few irl friends thank GOD) to watch Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. One of the most popular and acclaimed shows right now has a character with schizophrenia who was turned into the Big Bad Villain for no fucking reason. One of the most commonly-cited examples of Iconic™ queer media involves a mentally ill man being broken over and over and over again before The Ship™ can reasonably happen. DW introduced a major character who was at one point suffering from mental illness in her past, AND THEN ALL MENTION OF THIS WAS COMPLETELY DROPPED IN THE FUTURE, WITH NO BEARING ON ANYTHING TO THE POINT WHERE I FORGOT IT EVEN EXISTED??!?!? R*tched was a thing that existed despite the Sad Sympathetic Backstory treatment being IN DIRECT CONTRADICTION OF WHAT PURPOSE THIS CHARACTER SERVED IN One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. THEY GAVE. A SAD WOOBIE VILLAIN TREATMENT. TO THE /LITERAL PERSONIFICATION/ OF ABLEISM. THAT IS HER FUNCTION. TO EXIST AS A SYMBOL OF ALL THE WAYS SOCIETY OPPRESSES THE DISABLED AND MENTALLY ILL.

Ave! Here's a list of various links to all things heavy metal. Doesn't matter if you're just getting into the genre and feeling totally lost, looking for something new to expand your already fvking brvtal taste, or seeking to win a debate under a Facebook post - this post is for you! (I'm by no means an expert, but I do try.)

Archives, music-sharing platforms and news outlets:

Encyclopaedia Metallum - If you want to own someone in an online argument, this is the place to go. Everything on every band, album and genre. When I say "every band", I mean it - even my local thrash outfit with 40 listeners on Spotify have their page. If you create your own account, you can add more pages to the Metal Archive, write reviews, browse forums, et cetera. Just don't fuck around and the mods will leave you be.

Kuttengallerie - A huge gallery of various battle vests and battle jackets, mostly from the 2000s and early 2010s. They're even sorted alphabetically. If you're looking for ideas or references, head on in. It's also part of a larger online forum, which is sadly mostly inactive. (This one's in German, but Google Translate exists, guys. Also, shout-out to my brother in metal Blues for showing me this!)

Rate Your Music - Not exclusive to metal, but you can create lists, rate music (like the name suggests), write reviews, et cetera. Good way to discover new things.

AngryMetalGuy - Funny, scathing, high-quality. One of the most prominent metal blogs. Bonus points from me because TheKenWord is a fan of Artificial Brain. (Big thanks to @dropdeadjack for this suggestion - and many others!)

Bandcamp - You can buy digital tracks, albums, even merchandise. Oftentimes it's "name your price", so look out for bargains. Bandcamp charges very low fees - it pays artists way more than most other platforms do. Also, it has curated collections.

Soundcloud - Good for uploading your own things, as well as finding others' stuff. A sort of alternative to Spotify/Apple Music/et cetera.

Loudwire - Mostly big news and sensations (picture Slipknot's beef with MGK); not a valuable source of information but it is funny sometimes and keeps you up-to-date with the talk of the town. Things like reunions, break-ups, new albums; rock and metal alike.

Metalsucks - Also lighthearted, but seems to be more respected in the metal community itself. Again, keeps you up to date.

Metal Injection - Another fairly reliable metal news outlet.

Documentaries, movies, YouTube channels:

Metal Evolution - Really well-made, high-quality series, but I've only watched part of it myself. By metalheads and for metalheads. Here are links to some episodes: Extreme Metal, Pre-Metal, Thrash Metal, Power Metal, Early Metal, Glam Metal.

Banger TV - Hosted by Sam Dunn, the guy who did the Metal Evolution documentary. Lots of interviews, reviews, tips; hell, even a comedy series (Heavy Metal Hitchhiker). They've also started a podcast, apparently.

Heavy: The Story of Metal - Not my favorite, but it does get the point across. Here's a link to episode 4 - Seek & Destroy. You can probably find the rest of the episodes on YouTube.

Heavy Metal Democracy Project - Banger TV strikes yet again. This playlist has videos such as "How to get into death metal", "How to get into thrash metal", so on and so forth.

Festivals:

Wacken Open Air - Germany. Considered by most to be the largest one in Europe.

Hellfest - France. Also a contender to Wacken's title.

Download - UK. The Donington Park one. Not metal-exclusive, one of the biggest festivals in the world. See also: Download Australia and Download Japan.

Bloodstock Open Air - UK.

Maryland Deathfest - US. As the name suggest, mostly death metal.

Louder Than Life - US. Possibly the biggest festival in America.

Aftershock - US. Rock and metal.

Ozzfest - Touring. Put Osborne back on the map.

Knotfest - Touring. Founded by Slipknot.

Summer Breeze - Germany.

Mystic Festival - Poland. Biased because I've been there.

Sweden Rock Festival - Sweden (lol). (Not listing all the Scandinavian ones because we'd be here all day.)

Metaldays - Slovenia. Biased because I almost was there.

Brutal Assault - Czech Republic.

Tuska Open Air - Finland.

Copenhell - Denmark.

Things I want to give spidey that appeared in canon but not enough:

Spider drones

The capiora what-cha-ma-callit fighting styles from spiderman ps4. I want them to appear as flavouring. The visual is gorgeous. It's perfectly suited to his whole aesthetic.

Whatever the deal is with madame web. Like some sort of Persona velvet room equivalent??

The spider to spider resonance from spider verse, that sent me FERAL we need more of it!!

Things I want to give spidey that appeared in canon, yes, but can we just tweak it a bit:

Man spider. Come on it's so cool. Maybe it can appear more often, as like, a biological last line of self defence? It's big and fluffy and feral and op, what more do you want??? Half transformations, even, like spidey growing eight eyes for a Halloween prank or being able to spit acid when cornered.

Spider whispering - it appears in some form in some comic runs, but spideys relationship with normal spiders is WILDLY variable. He doesn't have to talk to them like ant man, just let him have, like, a mutual understanding. Spider pheromones or smth.

The iron spider extensions. I know he doesn't really ever get to keep the suit, but at least let him take inspiration from the four extra limbs, come on.

Venom. Like, yes it's destined to end in failure because of venoms brain eating tendencies and spideys Absolute Refusal, but like,,, maybe they could reach some sort of accord when they part ways and he can borrow him sometimes?? I want to pair it with man spider for some truly unhinged eldritch horror shenanigans. Eight eyed eight legged mass of black goop the size of a small car with a giant fanged maw. Come on.

Bio webbing! A movie spidey had them! (Toby maguire??) Listen it doesn't have to replace the artificial stuff but he needs like. A back up. Something biological that couldn't be mistaken for an insect. He can fiddle with it. Do little web designs (hehe). He should have knitting and crochet and lace making for a hobby or three, come on. Spider weaving instincts. He's gotta.

Things I want to give spidey that aren't really canon but if marvel let me they COULD be:

Mandibles. Poison mandibles >:]. Man spider has them! Maybe they could stay after the transformation, like they just tuck inside his mouth, between his lower gums and cheek, with joints that let them unfold out his mouth and click menacingly. Imagine you're trussed up by spidey and he's trying to play bad cop and you're 100% convinced he's too moral and bluffing until these giant glistening black daggers the length of a child's hand slowly pierce through the mask on either side of where his mouth would be and you're suddenly Very Aware no one knows what spider man looks like outside of the full body suit.

Psychic blast. Now hear me out! Just the spider sense, weaponised. Like the reverse of the resonance. He does something funky and whatever layer of reality the spider sense functions on just absolutely wigs out and anyone caught in the area goes with it. Like vibrations on an interplanar web except the spider in the centre isn't reading the vibrations but stomping vigorously until it looks like tsunami waves rather than plucked guitar strings.

Low key endurance. Please marvel. Sure it looks good and realistic and poor meow meow but this guy can survive his own terminal velocity like it's NOTHING. You could drop him from the eiffel tower and he could land on his neck and be 100% fine unscathed not even a bruise. It's in the spider job description. Happy Queer Media Monday!

Today: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

I only watched the movie, but it was quite lovely.

(The original, English book next to a German edition, from a random bookshop in Germany.)

Red, White & Royal Blue is a romance novel originally published in 2019 about a relationship between the son of the US President and a Prince of England. The two start out disliking each other enough to cause an international incident, which leads to their families starting a PR campaign focussing around giving the impression of them being actually friends. During it, they get to know each other better, and soon start a relationship, that they need to keep secret for diplomatic reasons.

The book was extremely popular upon release and got a lot of positive feedback. It has been made into a movie by Amazon Prime in 2023, and quickly became one of the most watched romantic movies on the platform.
