ok so last year (in like spring thru summer) I was mutuals with this guy and I thought we got along pretty well! he didn't seem to think very highly of himself, and made a lot of self deprecating jokes, which I would (as lightly as I could) discourage. sometimes he would make posts about wanting to block "That Mutual", or "deleting posts because That Mutual replied to them, etc etc, but being scared of getting a 50 page google doc callout if he did. when I saw these posts I would be like "omg just block them it'll be better for you both in the long run". but still this type of post continued.

eventually he blocked me, so I don't think I need to tell you that I was "That Mutual". but the thing is that he kept making vagues about me- well, not exactly vagues, since he literally tagged them all #rowan hateposting. the posts themselves were pretty vague, just complaining about seeing me on his dash and calling me his "feared and behated mutual in law" or "behated chia pet mutual in law" (the chia pet thing was a joke from when we were mutuals bc I had shaved my head and was now growing it out like a chia pet. so like, kind of annoying misuse of a fun joke with my friends). this got to me, so i blocked him back. a while passes, and I realize he unblocked me, so I do the same, and we just kind of exist like that for a while.

and then, on around September 2nd. he follows me. and I go to his blog because hey whats going on here and I'm immediately greeted with this post

so, after stewing for a bit on whether to confront him and try to talk it out, I finally decide that I am NOT dealing with this guy & softblock him. he makes a handful of posts like "this is so funny aslfajdkafsl" etc etc. and then he asks if he should post "the rowan drafts". I respond to this in the only way I can.

he blocks me almost immediately. and then. the hateposting begins. I counted 27 posts about how I was annoying, hated depressed people, hated him, was just SO annoying, and so on. and other people also joined in! one of them was another ex mutual of mine, but two of them I didn't even KNOW. and also he had screenshots of my blog? from like over months. and one of them was a post that was only up for like 5 minutes.

some more time passes, and one of his friends (one of the people I didn't know who participated in rowan hateposting, this one called me human garbage for tagging q slur) calls me a terf. for tagging q slur. and calls anyone who says "hey that's not right" a "rowan apologist"

a couple more months pass until we get to a handful of days ago, which is when I found one final (HOPEFULLY FINAL) rowan hatepost from early november

like yeah I'm obviously a neurotypical yoga mom for saying self hatred jokes r not funny. also peep that misgendering. anyway that's my drama hope you liked it

Y/N and Harry shared everything: a street, toys, friends and even a birthday (Feb, 1, 1994) just as their mothers had. Given that they were also childhood best friends. Y/N and Harry had been friends for years — but then, the X Factor happened… Y/N hated those 3 words. They were the words that had changed the entire dynamic of their relationship; as both friends and as a couple. Well… as much of a “couple” as love sick 16 year olds could be. They’d dated for just over a year before he auditioned for the X Factor. They had been each other’s first everything: first kiss, first real person, first time and of course, first heartbreak. First he broke hers. It happened when news broke that he had made it past the first round of auditions.

“I made it, Y/N.” he’d said. It was totally casual and caught her by surprise. They were lying in his family’s living room in Holmes Chapel watching The Notebook with Gemma, Anne and Robin.

She shot up straight from her position on his lap.

“W-what?” She gasped.

“I made the X Factor.” He said, sitting up to pause the film.

“O-oh. That’s great! I knew you could do it, H!” She stammered hugging him close.

“We’re moving to London.” He mumbled.

“Wait… what?” She questioned.

“We’re moving to London, Y/N. as long as I’m in the competition I need to be on set, and because I’m not 18 mum and Robin need to be with me on set.” He murmured.

“Oh… well London’s only 3 hours away. I could come visit on weekends.” She quipped.

“I don’t know, love. That’s a pretty big commitment. We can’t even drive yet, and that’s a lot to expect from your parents.”

“You could just tell me you don’t want this anymore Harry. I don’t need your pathetic excuses.” She cried rushing out of the living room.

“Y/N, honey! Come back please!” Anne called out.

“BABY PLEASE!” Harry cried running barefoot down his cobblestone drive. But it was no use, she was gone.

Over the next few weeks before he left for London, H made every attempt to contact Y/N. He waited for her at her locker at school, outside of her classes, showed up at her doorstep every morning before school with his famous iced tea that she loved so much and everyday she would walk right past him as if he were some stranger passing her on the street. She’d even resorted to blocking his number on her mobile and not allowing her mother to answer their home phone when his number showed up on the caller ID.

Eventually he learned his lesson and stopped attempting to contact her. But not before he could leave a note in her locker before he left for London.

It had been nearly 3 months since Harry had made any more attempts to contact Y/N, and she had made no attempts at all to reciprocate those attempts. But nonetheless, it still broke her heart to even think about Harry in the arms of another girl — let alone an older woman… not to mention a woman 14 years his senior! It was sickening. She tried her hardest not to pay attention to the rumours and wanted nothing more than believe they were false, but when every media outlet in the UK was reporting about the supposed relationship between “16 year old X Factor contestant Harry Styles and the host Caroline Flack, aged 30” the rumours became rather hard to ignore. But she had to see for herself, so one weekend, close to the show finale, she decided to take Anne up on one of her multiple offers to make the trip to London because “Harry was dying to see her.” She, Anne and Gemma decided to surprise Harry and meet him at Nando’s one evening to surprise him with her visit, only to see him show up hand in hand at the restaurant with her.

That’s when Y/N truly decided to let Harry go. She no longer tuned into the competition, deleted him on all social media and no longer hung-out with the friend group they shared at school. Instead she became a secluded introvert, only going from school to work.

—— 8 years later (January, 28, 2018) ——

It’s been 8 years since Harry and Y/N had physically laid eyes on one another. Not even at Robin’s wake or service. She went of course she did. He was almost as much of, if not more of a father to her than her own dad, she just sat in the back and only made her presence known to Anne and Gemma when Harry was no longer in the room. She decided to unblock his number for a short while and send him her condolences on Robin’s passing, but then she was back to ignoring him. That doesn’t mean that she’s a stranger to her ex boyfriend’s crazy success and scandalous relationships. She’s run into Anne now and again when she was out and about in Holmes Chapel visiting her mother. She also still had the occasional girl’s day in London with Gemma whenever their schedules meshed properly.

She’d moved there 6 years ago when she was 18 after being accepted to Oxford for (your choice in major). She decided to stay in town after she graduated, she received a job offer with a salary that was impossible to pass up just weeks after graduation.

Soon after she started her new job was when she met Kyle. The way they met was kind of serendipitous, if you will. She’d literally spilt her iced tea on him after they collided turning a corner on the street. They’d been inseparable ever since. He’s been her everything for the past 6 years. Which is amazing, considering she never thought she’d feel this way about another man ever again. Not after he broke her heart all those years ago. Anne and Gemma were happy for her, but would be happier if it were Harry she were still with. They liked Kyle enough though, he treated her well and that’s all they ever wanted for her.

Now, four days before their shared 24th birthday she’s sitting on the sofa in the flat she shared with Kyle trying to get Gemma off the phone.

“Gem, how many times do I need to tell you I. Don’t. Want. A. Party. 24 is no special occasion. I’m not 16, or 18 or 21. ‘M just another year older. Can’t we just go to Greece for a weekend? Just the 2 of us and the mums?” (Anne and Y/M/N). Y/N begs.

“Ugh. Fine. I guess, if that’s what you want. But are you sure you don’t want anything on your actual birthday? Y’know like dinner or summat?” Gemma questions.

“Um, no. I think Kyle’s taking me to Gordon Ramsey’s new restaurant in Chelsea that night. Think he wants it to be a surprise though. I over heard him making the reservation a few weeks back.”

“Oh yeah, I know the place. Fancy little bloke inn’he?” She giggles finding her own sense of humour rather amusing.

“Ha ha, Gem. Laugh it up. S’more than you can say H—-“ Y/N stops herself just before her friend’s brother’s name leaves her lips. “Never mind. Sorry. I didn’t mean that.” She retracts.

“No, Y/N, S’okay. I get it. Know he’s m’brother and what he did was a while back but it still makes him a wanker.” Gem agrees.

“Okay. I’ll call you in a few days to sort out the details of the trip, Gem. Talk soon.” Y/N smiles.

“Laters, baby.” Gemma laughs.

—4 days later, Birthday evening (Feb, 1, 2018) Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant.—

“Wow, Ky. This place is amazing, you shouldn’t have.” Y/N gasps as the hostess brings them to their table and informs them their server will be by shortly to take their orders.

“Course I should, love. S’not every day the girl you love turns 24.” Kyle smirks.

Just as the sommelier (wine expert) approaches their table.

“Excuse me, are you Miss. Y/L/N?” He questions.

“Um yes? What is this about?” She asks sheepishly, confused. Kyle himself seeming just as clueless.

“This is for you. Compliments of the gentleman over there at table 4. Enjoy your meal. This pairs lovely with the prime rib, if I do say so myself.” The wine master smiles as he departs from the table.

Y/N looks over Kyle’s shoulder to see the one and only Harry Styles smirking at her from across the dining room. “Happy Birthday, love” he mouths, lifting his own glass of wine in a “cheers” salute.

“If you’ll excuse me, Kyle I need to take care of something really quickly.” Y/N says, giving her date a tight lipped smile before marching over to Harry and hauling him up from the table by the cuff of his Gucci suit jacket.

“Oi, love. That’s no way to greet an old friend on his birthday is it?” Harry jabs as she continues to maneuver them out the main doors of the restaurant.

“First of all a $300 bottle of wine? Are you freaking kidding me, Harry? Second of all… s’tha’ all I am to you, an’ “old friend?” And third, how the bloody freaking ‘ell did you find me? Especially tonight of all nights?” She whisper yells as they gat far enough into the parking lot.

“One, happy birthday. I know you love that wine. He probably would’ve ordered you some cheap $50 merlot. Two, no love, yer much more to me than just and old friend. S’what I came ere to tell yeh. And three, I’m Harry freaken Styles, love. There’s nothin I can’t do. Not to mention Gordon owed me a favour after I performed at his daughter’s graduation last year. When Gem told me yer new bloke was bringing yeh ere tonight I decided to call in that favour.” Harry smiles, taking in the appearance of the girl he’s loved for the last 20 some-odd years of his life. The same one he hasn’t seen in nearly 8 years. But seeing her here, tonight looking gorgeous as ever in that tight black dress and killer Louboutins, with him?? Well that was a hell of a kick in the nads.

“Why did you really come here, Harry? Because I know it wasn’t just to give me expensive wine and say happy birthday. But if it was, happy birthday, Harry. Goodbye.” Y/N mutters, shaking her head and walking away.

“N-no, baby please! Don’t walk away. Not again.” He begs grabbing at Y/N’s wrist and pulling her into him. “Please, baby. I love you. Don’t walk away again. If you do, I don’t think I can take it.” He says, full on sobbing now and literally begging on his knees outside the busiest restaurant in the Chelsea district, not caring who sees him.

“Get up, Harry. You’re making a scene. Im not your baby anymore. I haven’t been for the last 8 years. And that was your choice. I loved you, but I love Kyle, now. I’d still like to be friends though, yeah?” Y/N says in an attempt to plaster a fake sad smile on her face and look away from Harry to wipe her own tears.

“Not Harry to you baby. ‘M anything but. What happened to H or babe or love or handsome?? Anything but Harry. That makes it too real. You know we can never be friends. We’ve been through too much.” He sobs, standing up to hug her again.

“M’sorry, H. I love Kyle and he’s inside waiting. I’m sure I’ll see you around yeah?” She says, releasing herself from his embrace and kissing his cheek before reentering the restaurant and leaving Harry out in the cold.

eddie is horribly abusive and y’all need to be aware of him

i really did not want to have to resort to this. i fully intended to not call eddie out and just let this die off. since it hasn’t, multiple friends have convinced me to come forward with the abuse, stalking, harassment, manipulation, gaslighting, misgendering, etc i have been subjected to at the hands of eddie over the past week+. i haven’t used tumblr in... ages, so i’ve completely forgotten how to use coding in tumblr posts. sorry in advance for that. this is going to be both a call out and a “hey, this is what really went down” type of thing.

this is going to be long, sorry. tw for... pretty much everything. reblogs are encouraged and appreciated. let’s expose this abuser before he can abuse anyone else.

alright. for background’s sake, eddie followed me on twitter because we had a mutual friend, catherine. right off the bat, he bombed me with positive attention, liking all of my tweets, complimenting me, etc. a friend has since pointed out that abusers often do this before abusing their victims. i just figured he was a friendly guy and didn’t think anything of it. catherine and i had a falling out because she kept frequently using the r slur, despite not being autistic, and it was really making me, an autistic person, feel extremely uncomfortable (this is a whole different can of worms, though. catherine has also been outed as an abuser and a suicide baiter). disgruntled by the situation, i posted this to vent my frustration.

this is my personal opinion on the issue, as an autistic person with autistic friends and family, all who agree with my stance. i’m not here to debate this. i want this to focus on eddie and not get derailed.

eddie absolutely flipped his shit at me. he claimed that since he has adhd (which he went on to say is EXACTLY LIKE AUTISM... not even gonna bother to explain how wrong that is. i have both. i should know) he is entitled to use that slur, my feelings be damned. he said that me saying he should not use the r slur erases the ableism people with adhd face. again, this is... not how it works. i wish i had grabbed screencaps because it seems that his tweets have been deleted. all i have is my side of the conversation, where you can see that i was perfectly calm and polite.

i ended things by explaining that i could agree to disagree for the sake of our friendship & that as long as he didn’t use the slur around me i would be fine. he stopped replying to the thread after that.

a while later, i received this message from eddie.

i’m going to point out real quick that the last time i posted to twitter about my makeup was months ago. eddie could only know this if he dug through MONTHS worth of tweets. this was where his stalking began. he went through hundreds upon hundreds of tweets looking for any tiny thing he could use to attack me over. he was actively looking for conflict & things to be mad about. he needed something to demonize me over, because “they asked me to not say r*tard” is obviously going to make him look bad if he cites that as his reason why he has beef with me. we discussed jeffree star briefly & then he blocked me. i wrongly assumed that was going to be the end of it.

i noticed that, during all of this eddie/catherine drama, someone had stolen my url. i thought it was petty/funny, and posted this to twitter. this is the only thing i said about the url. this is literally it. i did not and have not accused anyone of stealing it. i honestly don’t care because i very rarely am on tumblr nowadays.

i’m not sure of exactly what happened, but i’m assuming either catherine told eddie i had said it was him, or eddie somehow convinced himself of it. eddie unblocked me instantly and sent this.

he reblocked me after this. at that point, i consider it harassment.

as i’m combing through his twitter for all of this shit he did to me, i just now saw that he posted screenshots of our conversations in an attempt to turn people against me, while omitting that this whole thing began because he wanted to use SLURS. he posted a handful of tweets gossiping about me.. he has been attempting to paint me as a racist transphobe and he has been telling everyone i accused him of stealing my url, even though i told him i hadn’t accused anyone.

a mutual friend of ours (who has since ditched him) then contacted me saying eddie was posting screenshots of my social media while shit talking me.

the green thing is a screenshot of my listography. i don’t like or associate with q*eer because it’s a slur. i’ve been distancing myself from the lgbt community as of late due to the influx of rape threats, misgendering, harassment, racism, and overall nastiness i’ve been dealing with from lgbt people. i shouldn’t have to justify this. i have my reasons. this is, again, eddie grasping for anything he can use against me.

because liking problematic things makes someone a bad person, amiright? it’s not like i’m an adult who can recognize when something is problematic & still have the capacity to enjoy aspects of it. to put into perspective... eddie is vocally kin with a serial killer from a game that demonizes mentally ill people. he has no room to talk.

this whole time, eddie has been telling people that he cut me off as a friend over me owning jeffree star makeup and was incessantly trashing my name publicly while spreading lies about me. we have mutual followers, so i posted this, trying to keep his name out of things in an attempt to not escalate the drama.

eddie continues to vague and obsess. meanwhile, i’m trying to move on with my life.

not wanting to be associated with a community that treats me poorly doesn’t mean i suddenly don’t face the same struggles as them or can’t have an opinion on the issues i face, just so you know.

at this point, i sent him a message politely asking him to stop talking about me all over his twitter and to move on with his life. he deleted the response but the preview is still on his twitter.

here he is, again, lying about me. i have not contacted a single one of his friends once. i have harassed no one. i haven’t even spoken with catherine since this all began.

anyway.

2) anyone else think him calling my friend ‘babe’ is kind of creepy? just saying

eddie began implying if not outright saying that i’m abusive. he posted this while talking about me. he was “confronting” me at the time so... who else could it possibly be about?

i tweeted these in response, because i take abuse allegations extremely seriously. as an abuse survivor, i do not appreciate even having it be IMPLIED that i am abusive.

after posting these, i hopped in the shower. eddie proceeds to have a meltdown. he had me blocked but i had not blocked him. at this point, i had blocked our mutuals. the only way he could have seen these tweets was by refreshing my twitter over and over again, waiting for me to say something about him/the situation. eddie unblocked me & quoted my tweets with this.

i haven’t lied about anything, as my screencaps illustrate. he just wants to be absolved of any responsibility. i also did not “throw a fit” - i very politely requested that he stop gossiping about me publicly. he also messaged me around the time he quoted my tweets.

again, have not lied about anything. he attempted to gaslight me by saying he was actually calling jeffree star abusive, which is absolutely not what he did. check the screencaps.

i was tired of being nice to the person who had so far harassed and stalked me, lied about me, and attempted to gaslight me.

this tweet below was confirmed about me. in it, he calls me a trans man. i have explicitly stated many times that i am not a trans man. i am nonbinary. i have told my twitter following countless times that calling me a man is misgendering. it is in my bio.

@ranunculae aka fawn reached out to me late at night on the 21st. we had a 5+ hour long conversation in which they explained to me that eddie had abused them and has spent the past 2 years harassing and stalking them like he was doing to me. eddie and catherine had teamed up and suicide baited fawn until fawn had to go inpatient. eddie and catherine have been attempting to socially isolate fawn for 2 years now by spreading lies and doctored screencaps in a sketchy “call out”. you can read fawn’s statements here.

i’m going to post some things that fawn sent to me over chat just because they’re semi-relevant.

my irl best friend, cat, was close friends with catherine. fawn and i felt that cat needed to know that catherine was involved in suicide baiting and abusing fawn with eddie. so, we approached cat about it and fawn explained their entire side of things to cat.

eddie, through his relentless stalking of me, noticed we were all in contact.

i want to clarify that fawn/katie has not been on his twitter once throughout all of this. fawn’s boyfriend periodically checks eddie’s twitter to see if he’s still stalking and obsessing over fawn. fawn’s boyfriend saw eddie harassing me, and he let fawn know that eddie had picked a new target to abuse. then fawn contacted me. it literally is a smear campaign. and fawn said the smear campaign was against ME, not them, even though eddie has been posting libel about fawn for years.

1) actual minors have come to me and fawn to tell us about eddie preying on them and grooming them

2) this was a response to cat taking mine and fawn’s sides

3) eddie called cat a ‘cuntbag’, which is misogynistic

4) these ‘victims’ have not come forward because they don’t EXIST. meanwhile, i am nearly the 30th victim of eddie’s that has ACTUALLY COME FORWARD.

again, more lying about me. as you can clearly see, i never threw a fit. i have been calm during this entire ordeal. also... this is, once again, him trying to divert attention away from what really started this; his NEED to use the r slur around someone who is uncomfortable with it.

i can only imagine what filth eddie is saying on his locked personal twitter. i think i’d rather not know, though.

it has been more than an entire week of stalking, harassment, gaslighting, manipulation, lying, smear campaigns, misgendering, misogyny, etc etc from eddie. he is awful. he is abusive and a manipulator. do not befriend him. the second you upset him, he will turn on you and treat you like he has countless others. i am just one victim out of many. stay away. block him. spread this to warn people.

PS/ SS - Chapter 3 - The Letters From No One

Two posts in a day!

Oh gosh when will the sad Dursley content end??? This is the worst. I want Hagrid. I want Hogwarts. I have this infuriating need to research dates and times, so here’s to sad research I guess. ... Harry was given his “longest-ever punishment” in his cupboard. Starting at Dudley’s birthday and ending when “summer holidays started”. Dudley’s birthday is June 23. And I’ve been doing a bit of digging on the average school schedule for Surrey, UK I’m a bit out of my element, but I think I see that the “Surrey County Council’s” website here says that last year summer term ended on July 21. That makes 29 days (counting Dudley’s birthday). In 1991 it might have been different, but probably not much. That is a whole month. There are no words.

Dudley knocked down Mrs. Figg on his bike, and it’s terrible, but the way JK wrote it made it sound comical almost cartoon-ish bc the woman was on crutches trying to heal from breaking her leg from a month ago. It’s written as slapstick and I feel bad for laughing at it almost.

Bev, you replied to my chapter 2 about Yvonne. We both mentioned our thoughts that it’s not likely that she was nice, if she kept company like Petunia. Here is Dudley following his mother’s footsteps, by having his “gang”. Terrible people like to find other terrible people to enable their actions.

I did a bit of Googling on Smeltings to see if it had any real-life relevance, and I enjoyed this brief forum thread of pictures of the over-the-top uniforms at similar-ish schools. Like Dudley’s uniform seemed too impossible to me, but I get the joke now lol. “maroon tailcoats, orange knickerbockers, and flat straw hats called boaters. They also carried knobby sticks”

To you, Nick and Laura, bc you two may not read the US editions. In your books is the public secondary school that Harry almost went to called Stonewall High? I thought that high school was an American thing.

“’They stuff people’s head down the toilet the first day at Stonewall,’ [Dudley] told Harry. ‘Want to come upstairs and practice?’

‘No, thanks,’ said Harry.’The poor toilet’s never had anything as horrible as your head down it -- it might be sick.’”

Harry is so clever. Look at that twist of a phrase! That’s an impressive joke for an almost eleven year-old kid. Like he probably didn’t watch a lot of tv or anything this is just raw talent. Honestly, there is not a single good reason as to why he wouldn’t be good at writing essays for school when he applies himself.

[After hearing Dudley being praised for his appearance in his school uniform by his parents.] “Harry didn’t trust himself to speak. He thought two of his ribs might already have cracked from trying not to laugh.” /// One of the worst/ best feelings that I know of.

“They heard the click of the mail slot and flop of letters on the doormat.” /// Hedwig’s Theme starts playing.

“he didn’t belong to the library, so he’d never even got rude notes askign for books back.” /// I laughed for two reasons bc for the first time I imagined that this was something that had happened to JKR one too many times so she added it here. Also, bc I myself currently have almost a two dollar fine at the library.

That is quite the large wax seal if Harry could make out all four animals. And it’s purple, which I’m glad about. When I was a kid watching this scene, I didn’t think that it was a wax seal. Bc the envelope was ripped from Harry’s hand and there was a red seal, I thought Harry got a nasty paper cut for years. It seemed a bit unnecessary to have in the movie.

Harry’s non-reaction to the letter saying “cupboard under the stairs” is the most unrealistic thing in this series tbh.

Why did Petunia not ever imagine that Hogwarts sending Harry a letter was a possibility???

The Dursleys moved Harry upstairs in fear that the letter writers would call the authorities on them I bet. This was probably Dumbledore wanting to strike paranoia into The Dursleys. Good.

Dudley’s terrible temper tantrum astounds me. He threw a living animal “through the greenhouse roof” and hurt his parents. I haven’t read this in a while and I’m shocked again.

On the flip side, here’s JKR’s (literal) slapstick humor again: “After a minute of confused fighting, in which everyone got hit a lot by the Smelting stick”

An almost eleven year-old Harry: figured out that, since the letter writer knew he moved rooms and knew that he didn’t get his first letter, that Harry should expect more future attempts at correspondence, and also repaired an alarm clock. Can we please put to rest the fanon that Harry was “unintelligent” and “unobservant”??? And also do the same for Ron too, bc I hate those unfounded claims for Ron as well.

“Uncle Vernon didn’t got to work that day. He stayed at home and nailed up the mail slot.” /// A.K.A. /// “Uncle Vernon didn’t go to work at a company that sells drills. He stayed at home and used a hammer and nails instead.”

Is friutcake more of a thing in the UK/ England?? I’ve watch a bit of The Great British Bake off and I’ve seen a bit more positive reaction to it and Vernon is eating it here without it even being remotely close to Christmas. And somehow I still remembered that JK likes fruitcake. omg I feel like I need to lay down after remembering that very tiny detail from last year. How does the brain work? I don’t remember where my junior prom was at (and a friend asked me that just last week) but I can remember a tiny tweet from March of last yearrrrr???

I just want to know what kind of “nasty letters” the post office were taping to the Dursley’s door saying, “stop boarding up your door we can’t do our jobs.”

They have a milkman. Was that still a thing then??

I looooooooved the deleted scene of a scared Petunia finding the letters in the eggs.

I would PAY to have Dumbledore and McGonagall’s POV of this chapter. I would pay a lot. I bet it would be filled with both of them fuming and then later laughing bc “Hey Dumbledore, what if we sent a hundred letters to the front desk!!” “OMG, Minerva, that is inspired. Let’s do it.”

Dudley asks the question “Daddy’s gone mad, hasn’t he?” in both the movie and the books, but the movie made Dudley look sympathetic. The book says Dudley asks this “dully”. There’s no concern here.

Its nice to imagine how many letters and bills that got lost to the Dursleys when they left before unblocking the mail slot.

This scene of them on the boat going towards the shack reminds me a lot of Harry and Dumbledore riding in a boat to get the Horcrux.

Harry shivering under a thin blanket on the ground is similar to one of the night’s rest I got during my camping road trip last year. I feel so sad for this tiny child bc it was miserable for like that hour before I woke her to ask if we could layer our sleeping bags and cuddle with her and her dog. It rained that night too and I woke up to a slightly damp sleeping bag bc I happened to sleep touching the side of the tent. lol The personal story was free of charge.
