hi love ur work!!! could u write an eddie munson x reader where reader tells him she’s pregnant and he kills himself in the upside down instead of being a parent. also could y/n be secretly vecna? thanks 🤩🤩
I'm on my way to tell my boyfriend, eddie munson, that i'm pregnant. i'm so scared he will be upset, but i know he loves me, and deep down i know that he would never hate me for anything. i'm just so scared for such a big change. a baby is a huge responsibility! i hope we can make it through this endeavor!
i knock on his door.
'KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK'
he opens it and i see him, wearing his iconic hellfire t-shirt and jean jacket, hair a frizzy mess, but that was my man! i lunge forward and trap him in a hug, pee stick in hand.
"why are you so happy? especially when vecna is going around killing everyone!" eddie warns me. little does he know... hehehe.
i show him the pregnancy test in my hand. he jumps back. "EW DON'T TOUCH ME WITH IT!" he exclaims as he wipes the peepee off of his clothes.
"sorry! i'm just so happy! we're gonna have a baby!" i smile big at him but he doesn't smile back. what's wrong, i wonder.
"i-is it mine?" he asks me like a dumbass.
"of course it's yours! i'm not a slut, munson!" i poke fun at him. he still doesn't smile back.
suddenly, over a walkie talkie, a frantic voice starts talking. i think it's dustin, his weird little friend. he's already basically a father figure to those young boys in his dnd club. i don't get why he isn't happier to be a real dad!
"listen... y/n... you should probably go... don't call me... don't come by my house... we're done"
"EDDIE NOOOOOO!" i scream but it is too late. he kicks me out of his trailer, and i land hard on my ass on the cold, hard, ground.
i'm so fucked!
___
on the boat at lover's lake, above the entrance to the upside down
"so, how are things between you and y/n, eddie?" steve asks him, looking wearily down at the glowing portal below. no one knows where exactly it could magically transport them.
"she told me she was pregnant, so i dumped her ass!" steve high fives him at this.
"nice one man!" steve is happy at this.
"shut up you two! we have to jump down there to the portal! we have no idea what might happen to us, though! what are we going to do?" nancy worries like the worrying bitch she is.
"i'll go first" eddie volunteers.
"eddie no! it coul dbe dangerous!!!" robin warns like the hot bitch she is.
"girl. danger is literally my middle name!" eddie tells her sexily then jumps off the boat into the unknown. they all follow soon, hoping eddie doesn't lead them to certain death.
___
as sooon as eddie wakes up, he is face to face with y/n, his pregnant ex-girlfriend. "w-what?"
"hi eddie" she says
"this can't be real!" he says but looks around and sees the rest of the gang down there with him.
"you bet your ass it is! if you don't want to be a father, then all your friends will have to die! also blarg!! i'm vecna! i'm actually evil and stuff and you r baby will be half vecna half munson!"
"noooooooo!" eddie curses the heavens above for his terrible fate. "it's a good thing i always carry around a rope!"
eddie takes out his pocket-rope and walks to a vecna tree, which is like a regular tree but it's in vecnas house and thats scary!
he ties a noose with the rope, and gets up on a chair.
"omg eddie nooooooooo!" steve cries but it is too late, eddie has tied the rope around his neck and jumped off.
he is now dead!
"noo! how will i ever raise my baby now!"
"omg girl he's dead..." robin whispers to nancy and nancy agrees bevcause its true.
"now you all have to go! prepare to die, teens!" y/n/vecna says in her vecna voice and she does the clock thing and then robin and nancy and steve all die from the vecna curse of whatever scares them or something.
"haha!" y/n/vecna exclaims in victory!

shot thru the heart, pt 3
pt 1 //pt 2
-
Steve staves off actually caving and asking Billy for the notes for as long as he possibly can. Which is like, four days.
He actually needs those notes, for real, because he hasn’t been able to write a single fucking thing except the day’s date on his paper since…. Since Billy started sitting behind him at the beginning of the semester. It’s just been distracting, okay? That’s all.
That’s all.
And if Steve thinks about this anymore his head is going to literally explode so-
“Hey, Hargrove.” Steve catches up to Billy just as they are both leaving class. And he spaces out for a millisecond thinking how every time he thinks about blonde-curls-blue-eyes he thinks Billy, but what he says is ‘Hargrove.’
Billy slows, looks over his shoulder a little like he’s letting Steve know he’s allowed to continue, but he doesn't stop walking. He’s a faster walker than Steve, even though Steve’s legs are longer. Too long- he feels like a fucking. One of those. Desert-deer things. Antelope? No, a gazelle- it’s a gazelle.
“I, uh,” Steve realizes he’s never actually walked anywhere with Billy before, and has never entertained the possibility, but he started talking, so he may as well keep going. “If you’re still cool with it, borrowing your notes would be like, really helpful.” Why does he sound so stilted?
“Sure.” Billy seems so impartial to the whole thing, but Steve grins, a little relieved.
“Great! Uh, thank you.”
“Don’t mention it.” Billy nudges past him.
Now Steve’s standing alone on the sidelines of the main hall. And he feels warm all over again.
Steve is sitting at his desk the next day when a small stack of notes gets dropped in front of him- the paper snaps a little against the desk’s wood top.
Steve turns around in time to catch Billy sliding into the seat behind him.
“Hey,” Steve smiles, tries to think of something else to say like ‘thanks again’ when Billy goes,
“That's everything I have from this unit. Don’t write on them cause I want them back.”
“Okay,” Steve thinks Billy seems like he's trying to compensate for something. “Thanks again.”
Billy shrugs. But he does smile a bit. One of his nothing-matters-I'm-cool smiles.
“Maybe we could study together sometime-” Steve says before thinking about it at all, so it comes out way lower than he means it to so he has to clear his throat and go “If you want.”
Steve panics for a split second, something trying to flip over in his chest and he worries Billy’s gonna think he was asking something else, is gonna get him all wrong- but-
“If I didn't know better I’d say you were asking me to hangout, Harrington.” Billy laughs just a little. A little huff, sharp off his tongue.
Steve looks away, then looks back to Billy. “I mean, sure, yeah.”
Steve can swear Billy lights up for a second, smiles a little brighter, sits up more- but then, no. Billy only looks nonchalant again. “Hm. Maybe.” Then he looks back at his own notebook. And Steve takes that as a signal that the conversation is Now Over.
He turns back to his desk. Billy’s notes are still there.
It's days before the test, and Steve is sure that Billy's notes would be super helpful if he was actually reading them for clarity and understanding or whatever, but instead he’s discovered something entirely different, scribbled in the margins of almost every page; commentary. Billy writes literal commentary, more scrawly and casual than the rest of his legible nites.
Shit like; “Incorrect date in lecture but who’s gonna notice that certainly not the guy whos supposed to be fucking teaching us this no sir” and “just saw a bird out the window” and “Five minutes in and you have no idea what’s going on huh?”
That last one seems a little sweeter than the two before it, though. Like Billy’s talking to someone, other than himself.
Steve loves looking at those notes.
Loves the slopes and slants of the writing. Loves the commentary. Loves the little doodles Billy does in the margins. A knife with a spiraly handle. A skull that’s actually pretty good, could make a good tattoo maybe. Roses- lots of them. All different sizes. And a little heart with an arrow shot through it. Steve didn’t know Billy likes to draw. He’s not half bad. Steve smiles to himself a little. Runs his hand over one of the roses absently, wonders if they’re Billy's favorite because they’re Steves favorite, because they’re the classic-
Steve should probably be learning a lot more than he was though.
Steve actually studies for a few days. Like two, but still. He looks at Billy's notes multiple times. Actually invests time and energy into learning shit. So, you know, good for him. Good for him, managing to get good enough with Billy to actually reap the benefits of almost-friendship, because honestly maybe they could be friends, right? Maybe.
Hopefully.
Steve kind of likes sitting near Billy now, kind of likes the banter they have going, likes how Billy never makes him feel dumb, even if he calls him dumb…
But he still leaves class right as the bell rings, quick as a whip crack. Steve can barely even get in a ‘goodbye.’
He’s only a little disappointed, but it’s not like he has any reason to care-
He looks down.
Billy’s notebook. On the ground in the desk aisle.
It must have fallen out of Billy’s backpack on his brisk way out.
Steve scoops it up, shoves it in his backpack, and is out the door without so much as a second thought.
The second thoughts kick in when Steve gets home. When he tosses his backpack on his bed and paces around like that's gonna do anything before walking back over and pulling Billy’s notebook out and just, Holding it. Looking at it. Feeling overcome with.. Something.
He should open it. No, he shouldn’t, it’s not his.
But he wants to.
Billy ripped out pages to give him notes, clearly there’s stuff in here for Billy’s eyes only.
Steve can’t help himself.
He opens it.
And honestly, it’s pretty standard stuff. Old notes. More commentary that Steve relishes with every new word. A doodle of Bugs Bunny holding a joint that’s actually pretty good.
And a half-ripped page in the back that reads:
“Literally so beautiful it’s impossible not to-
But I don’t think you’re a dumbass-
I promise. Which is dumb, bec-
but I can’t help myself. I-
wish you knew how -
wonder if I’m i-
smells good-
Stupid-”
It’s a love letter. Steve’s dumb, but he’s not stupid. No doubt in his mind- this is a love letter.
Steve sits there. Reading the broken up sentences, over and over.
Billy wrote a love letter. Unmistakably his handwriting. Pieces of beautiful ideas about someone Billy is clearly crazy about-
And Steve’s heat sinks. Sinks all the way down from its high-falutin place in his throat, pushing at the back of his tongue down, down, into the darkest pit of his stomach. Immediately he knows-
That warm feeling from before? The all consuming too-hot cinnamon and grease feeling from before was not jealousy.
This is jealousy.
The idea that Billy cares about someone enough to write them a letter in his perfect pretty collected handwriting makes Steve sick with envy. He just sort of figured he was the only person relevant enough to take up Billy's brainspace. Not like anyone else thinks about Steve in any way anymore…
Steve drops the notebook back on his bed like it burned him. He sits on the edge of his bed, tilts his head up to the ceiling, closes his eyes.
Fuck. Fuck please dear god why now.
Steve wished this was the first time this had happened. The first time he'd stumbled his way into thinking about a guy like that.
But it wasn't. God he didn't want to have to think about this. He tries never to think about this shit. It wasn't like it happened all the time, wasn't like he couldn't just wait for it to go away like he had before.
But it did mean he had to stop talking to Billy right the fuck now.
No more copying his notes. No more maybe-hanging out. No more fucking banter in class. Steve needed to crush this… fluke. Before it became anything worse.
But if he was so resolved to not think about Billy like that, then why couldn’t he just get rid of the torn letter?
-
part 4 coming sooon! the thrilling conclusion !!!

Hi! For the ask-thingy! How ‘bout 2+3:tropes you wanna try and tropes you wouldn’t touch; 9:which fic was hardest to write;12:which fic inspires you most of all;35: dub/noncon -yea or nay?; and let’s end with 37:talk about your current WIPS! Whenever you have time, all or none! (ps-i was gonna ask about smut but because you have written some of my FAVORITE scenes of hotness it was kinda moot) Have a great day!!!
Thank you for these! :D
2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
Off the top of my head I can’t think of anything that stands out. I mean, I haven’t done the obligatory coffee shop AU for any fandom yet, and some of the other common tropes, so there’s still that ^^. But I can’t think of anything, you know, super extra that I’d say I definitely need to write one of those.
3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
I’m not sure if you can call it a trope or if it’s more of a genre of itself, but I’m not interested in / attracted to Alpha/Beta/Omega stuff and genderswap at all. Nothing makes me click the X faster than these two. That’s not to say I won’t dabble into intersex or gender issues in general, but I just don’t see the need to make a male character into a female one (or vice versa) just for the sake of it. That said, I do have a fic started where Loki is a woman, but there’s a reason for that and he’s not going to stay one for long ^^
9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?
I’ve answered that one here, but let me say that the second hardest to write was This Pain that numbs my Heart, because I really, really wanted to get the characters right in that one, and I wanted it to feel real, like something that could be in the gossip news tomorrow while at the same time being plausible enough to also happen to these people. And it’s hardcore RPF, so that’s always a challenge because unlike with a fictional character you don’t have certain liberties, you constantly have to question yourself “Would this person really do X or Y”?. Plus, you have to keep it on the respectful side, so yeah.
12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?
Hmmm not sure I understand this correctly. Like, an “episode” as in a certain scene in a movie, or an event in an actor’s life (a premiere or a con or something like that), or another fic? Well, if it’s a scene in a movie….idk, the first Hobbit film in general still inspires me. The Stone Giants sequence in particular, ouch, that gets to me every time. As for real events, haha, Aidan and Dean at Hollycon will forever be my Aidean!fest that I draw inspiration from ^^. And fic…that’s so tough because I’m not the type to re-read anything frequently, so there’s not really that one fic that I always come back to, but there are a lot of amazing writers whose style is a great inspiration for me, as in “I wish I could write like X one day”. I’ve recently read some incredible stuff in the Thorki fandom, so I think I’m going to compile a rec list in my AO3 bookmarks sooon (because I suck at coming up with author’s names and fic titles).
34. What are your thoughts on non-con and dub-con?
You said 35, but the dub con question is #34 so I’m answering that one; in case you’re interested in 35, I’ve answered that here. So, my thoughts. Would I write it? Yes I would, and I actually have, both non-con (rape) in At the End of the Rainbow as well as highly dubious consent in Blood Slave. In my opinion, it’s a vast and interesting field to delve into; certainly not a pretty one, but there’s two things I like about it. Firstly, trying to get into the perpetrator’s head and trying to understand why someone would do something like that to another person - without being apologetic of the deed itself, of course, but I’m not one to simply roll with the “well s/he did it because s/he’s evil” trope. There have to be motivations. In Rainbow, it’s a fixation issue combined with a sense of absolute entitlement, so in essence there’s something wrong in the mental department. Sometimes it’s revenge, or jealousy, or control issues that triggers a person into inflicting non-con or rape, and I like to explore these motivations. Let’s take Mitchell in Blood Slave for example, he never thinks for one second that what he’s doing to Anders is not what Anders would choose for himself. He doesn’t even see the consent issue, while Anders slowly accepts the situation and even comes to think that he enjoys it. And that’s the second aspect that interests me from a writing POV: all these little inbetweens, like what’s the difference between non-con and rape? When does dub-con become non-con? Can a character go from dub-con to actually enjoying it, or is that a rape fantasy, or Stockholm syndrome? There’s no clear line between all of that, and even more than the physical aspects I’m interested in the psychological implications on both sides.
37. Current WIPs
Right, I’ve answered that as well here, but if you like, let me get into a little more detail.
So, there’s this Hobbit piece that I started writing, idk, two years ago. It’s about Thorin and the loves in his life, so it covers Bagginshield, Thorinduil and Dwalin/Thorin. I usually don’t say that about my own stories, but it’s a beautiful piece of writing that came to me on a train journey and flowed out within an hour or so. It just needs some final touches, but I haven’t been in the right mood yet :-( Here’s a paragraph from it:
For a moment we stand in silence, the elf, the dwarf, and the hobbit, reunited by memories, and there is a smile on all our lips as our thoughts travel back in time. Then we look out onto the sea, at the grey ship that lies waiting, and we know that it is time to say our farewells. Memories pass between us as our eyes meet for the last time; pleas to keep them safe in our hearts for as long as we live. Before long the ship sets sails and we watch it pass through the gap, the sun embracing it with golden arms as it passes out onto the sea and is seen no more.
Then there’s an Anders/Mitchell medieval AU that I forgot to mention in my other answer. Anders is a witch in that one and Mitchell is a creature that’s been keeping an entire country in fear, until he gets captured and imprisoned. It’s rather dark and touches on a lot of religious / historical issues.
The boy sighed as he made his way through the crowd. All these people knew so little. It wasn’t their fault they were so prone to fall for superstitions, but Anders felt appalled by their stupidity nevertheless.
Yes, it had been a bad year; the worst so far in a row of many bad ones. A merciless winter held the land in its grip for far too long, freezing the soil to a rock-hard layer and delaying the ploughing and sowing that was so vital. Summer in turn had seen little sun and a lot of rain. Harvests had been poor already in the years before, but this time crops had died on the fields, struck down at the roots, rotting at the stem before they could bear fruit. A hailstorm of biblical proportion had destroyed most of the land’s vineyards earlier this year. People were dying from hunger in front of their empty bowls. And the war took on the remaining ones. Some said that death on the battlefield was merciful compared to the alternatives. It was no surprise people began looking for a scapegoat.
As for the Thorki ones I mentioned, it’s a mixed bag of smut, action, hurt/comfort and a lot of dabbling into magical issues because Loki being this master sorcerer just gives me a huge kick (and also sibling incest and canonical mpreg). Since you complimented on my smut writing (ahaha, thanks for that!), I’ll just leave this here for you:
Thor chuckled, stroking lightly along the line of his brother’s arousal.
“I can see that.” A thought occurred to him then. “I didn’t say that out loud, did I? Are you in my head?”
“As much as you are in mine,” Loki replied huskily, pushing his hips into Thor’s warm hand. “Although I’d rather you were in another part of me right now.”
“Loki…” Thor half-moaned, palming himself through his breeches.
The movement prompted his sibling to open his eyes, emerald and coal, half-lidded, dangerous and intriguing, pupils wide and black and gleaming with lust.
Thor had never been so hard in his entire thousand years of existence.
Thanks for asking; I hope my answers were okay :D

Hello!
BIG NEWS PEOPLE! Our Will Read For Booze twitter account (formerly Sam’s personal account) is going to be dedicated to the whole blog! So go check us out kthxxxx. While that’s amazing, Sam has to start from scratch on a new account, let’s show her some love huh? Check out her new account TheBooktender_  She’ll love you forever and ever.
Linz’s Updates
Ugh chronic pain is useless and work gave me a new grey hair, but I got promoted and finally had anniversary dinner, so balance?
What Linz read:
The Wife by Meg Wolitzer: Contemporary novel about a woman’s life as a a famous author’s wife. It’s not breaking any ground and the “twist” is telegraphed pretty hard early on, but it’s well-written and I enjoyed it
Sisters of Shadow and Light by Sara B. Larson: The publisher has kindly asked us to not post reviews until 2 weeks before sale date, so I don’t want to say anything just yet about this fantasy story involving 2 sisters who are stuck in a Paladin citadel, but I’ll post my review on Goodreads Oct. 22.
What Linz is currently reading:
The Good Luck Girls by Charlotte Nicole Davis: OK so I’m an idiot and thought this book was about girls who were forced into magical servitude via cursed tattoos, but, like, as child soldiers, not prostitutes-in-training. Whoops. So given that I thought this was a very different book, I’m not into it yet, but I’m gonna try to hit 20% and re-evaluate if I finish it.
My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing: JUST got this from the library and I’m a little excited to start reading it today. From Goodreads: “We all have secrets to keeping a marriage alive. Ours just happens to be getting away with murder.”
Sam’s Updates
It’s starting to get cold, so, like Linz, my chronic pain is flaring up. But who can think about that when thE NATS ARE IN THE WORLD SERIES?! We also have Dewey’s 24h Readathon this Saturday so my TBR is here too.
What I read this week:
Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern: So this is where I would normally tell you what this book is about, but IM NOT GONNA. It’s so much better to go into Erin’s books blind and I’m not going to ruin that. What I WILL say is it’s got a giant (as in world size) library. I have no words. This book was perfect and I already want to reread it. Drunk review comin sooon.
The Broken Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin: This is the second book in the Inheritance series. Parker wrote a hilarious review. Listening on audio. I enjoyed this a lot more than the first one. Maybe it’s because I understand it more? Idk. I already downloaded book 3 from the library so that’s good news.
What I’m currently reading:
Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore: So this is a story of a family that always has 5 girls, 5 cousins. The men that spawn these women disappear, so it’s always the women. 5 ladies, 5 mothers, 5 Grandmas (abuelas), when suddenly a boy appears. He has no memories. Guys I know I’m slow going at this but some stuff happened in the book and now I’m v v sad.
Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia: This is our book club book for the month. Basically it’s the 1920s-ish in Mexico, and our main character Casiopea accidentally lets the god of death out of prison and he gotta put himself back together before he turns mortal and for a variety of reasons (including potential death herself) Casiopea goes with him. I am getting some SERIOUS Hades and Persephone vibes from this and I love it.
Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman: This is the first in a new sci-fi series by our fave Illuminae duo. Tyler has it made, he’s gonna get the #bestsquadever. But then when he’s out practicing space stuff, he finds a ship that has a buncha dead people in cryopods, except one isn’t dead, she’s Aurora. Anyway he ends up with the last of the last crews and may have accidentally witnessed the start of an intergalactic war. So.. that. I’m really really liking the dynamic of the squad, everyone is a little odd and a little broken but they’re starting to get to know each other. We’ll see if my love for them overcomes the pace of the story (slowwww).
Dewey’s 24h Readathon TBR
…And Other Disasters by Malka Older: I got this ARC in the mail a few weeks ago and I want to knock it out before it comes out. It’s a collection of poetry and short stories and I can’t wait
A River of Royal Blood by Amanda Joy: I picked this up at ALA and the cover has me hooked. Cannot wait to read it.
Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan: This is the sequel to Girls of Paper and Fire which Linz reviewed. I wasn’t super impressed with book 1, I’m giving the series another chance with book 2.
Minda’s Updates
What Minda finished:
These Divided Shores (Stream Raiders #2) by Sara Raasch – So really loved the second installment and double love that it was a duology. I think two books was the perfect amount to explore the intricacies of the island melting pot of Grace Loray and the threat its people face from the mainland. With plant magic! Stay tuned for review. 4/5 shots.
What Minda is reading now:
HEIST by Kezzy Sparks – A debut magic-based paranormal suspense novel that I will 100% finish this week. Look for the review around when the book drops Oct 31
Ginny’s Updates:
Well, I finished my first full week as an aunt and it was delightful! I got about 8 hours of baby time today (which equals approximately two hours of reading while mom, dad, other aunt, and nana all takes naps). Also, there were some other surprises this week (no worries – no books were harmed… actually some comic books were harmed, but for a good cause).
Currently Reading:
Queen of the Unwanted  by Jenna Glass: This is the sequel to Women’s War which came out last year. Because I got the arc of that, Netgalley asked if I was interested in reading this and the answer was YES. I’m not super far in but I’m excited!
Agent to the Stars by John Scalzi: I read a book by John Scalzi a while back called Fuzzy, where the main character discovers the cutest animal ever and it turns out to be sentient and he has to prove it. This is the kind of the opposite, aliens exist but they look like the thing of nightmares but are actually super cool. Tom, the main characters, is a Hollywood agent who has been tasked with figuring out how to introduce the aliens to the public. It’s pretty delightful, the idea and the characters are fun. You can tell it’s one of Scalzi’s earlier novels as there’s some undertones of (as the news has told us) industry-standard misogyny. The main character, luckily isn’t a dick, but there’s still some statements that were a little bit cringey. Doesn’t change the fact that I trust Scalzi and I’m enjoying this book.
Finished:
Laughter at the Academy by Seanan McGuire: I’m lucky enough to have gotten this as an ARC from Netgalley. This is a collection of short stories from throughout McGuire’s career. It’s delightful to see some of the earlier stories next to things that have a more modern feel. I’m planning on writing a review for this one!
Pocket Apocalypse by Seanan McGuire: Yes, okay, I read two of these books in the same week. This is the 4th book in the InCryptid series and continues to delight. Alex has to go to Australia to try to help end a werewolf infestation. Yet again, planning on writing a review of this so I’m not going to say too much.
How Long ’til Black Future Month by N.K. Jemisin: This is another book of short stories and like all collections, some are stronger than others. That doesn’t change the fact that there’s some absolutely amazing pieces among this collection, the kind of pieces that make you never want to write a single word ever again because you aren’t going to be able to write something so good. My particular favorites ended up being a story set in a reality bubble where people are only connected via blogs and one set during Hurricane Katrina that included a set of lizards that could talk. Both of those stories (and many of the ones I didn’t mention) had this beautiful flow to it, and had these really subtle feelings of hope or dread. 5/5
Until next time, we main forever drunkenly yours,
Sam, Ginny, Linz, and Minda
