if i was a normal level of unwell right now i’d be baking a loaf of bread. i don’t want to have to leave the house tomorrow and i can’t bring myself to go to this stupid womens meeting. i have been so clear that i can’t do non constructive meetings that don’t specifically need me right now because i’m worn so thin, but if i don’t come on my sunday off i’ll lose credibility and these other orgs won’t work on the abortion fund projects. it feels like it’s always all on me to defend the value of doing repro work— and sometimes that’s okay and as you know i’m stepping up to work on this structural problem. but the problem is that if i show any signs of fragility—or god forbid say, “i need my sunday to myself this week,” or even worse, “my pet snail is dying and it’s going to impact my productivity for a week,” what i will be told is, well, you don’t have the capacity to sustain this work, so we’re going to stop working on it.
and the problem isn’t exactly that i’m the only one doing it (right now for example i have a street outreach brigade pamphleting hash bash lol in ann arbor, a political research crew prepping for the leg piece, a new Posting partnership planned for soon, the fundraiser ask is being made by someone else, plus some workings in a second chapter… look at me defending the work to you!), but we don’t have quite everyone with ownership over the project yet (which you build to) and, as i’ve said, everyone is depending all their willingness to not put up walls around this on whether or not i personally look energized and perfect and like i know everything every time they see me. meanwhile i want only one thing all the time (to kill myself). and i can’t be in this position because i’m not doing great. but i’m an ill and severely mentally ill person who can—i know—do a couple hours a week of organizing most weeks. and i believe you can build effective campaigns that bring in more people and build capacity and bolster people’s belief in the power working collectively for 2-10 hours a week can have to change people’s lives and make them feel mostly better rather than mostly worse. it’s important to me to hold that line. but i personally can’t survive being scolded by social workers (anarchists) and sociopaths (postleninists and social movement strategists) not to mention the regular misogynists who I HAVE TO PRESENT THIS TO IN A WEEK HOPING THAT THEY DONT DO SOMETHING MEAN TO SCARY TO ME IN FRONT OF EVERYONE!!
anyway the thing is that i’m so fragile that i don’t see a way where this consciousness raising or whatever meeting doesn’t ruin my mood for the next few days, because every single one so far has been so bad it has edged on a traumatic experience. and i have to deal with that on top of everything else i have in my life (snail dying, baby, ANTS, being solely responsible for housework and most bills, feeding myself on no money, medical appointments, all my loved ones in crisis due to being poor women, eclipse???, my union, eating disorder, chronic pain, SNAIL DYING). and if you were a loser wannabe social worker you might say “it sounds like you don’t have capacity to organize” and, WRONG. i don’t have the capacity to waste two hours of my life + the bus travel on a consciousness raising meeting where someone tells me what’s wrong about me. and i disagree with the relational organizing (or even post bernie labor type) partisans a who say, that’s where the organizing happens. i disagree and i have a different theory of how this works (i may be inventing a caucus lol). and most importantly i think that i personally am more like a majority of working class women than i’m different. the main thing that makes me most different from other working class women is how much time i commit to communism. i want to change this!!!
today i need to work on things but i’m focused on my snail and the feelings around this. i’m having a hard time feeding myself. i don’t think crying on a saturday with my dying pet snail while managing mental illness during an eclipse makes me someone who can’t organize and i do NOT think getting psychologically torn to shreds by a social worker in training or a social movement strategist trying to force me to do drugs at a retreat is going to make me a better organizer.
j invited us over after the meeting and i’m overcome with guilt about coming empty handed. i miss him. i saw him in passing at the last meeting. he makes me happy and feel better. i don’t think i should be with him because i worry all i can do is complain. and he will be reminded why everyone hates me et cetera. but after i saw him that day when i wanted to die he reached out right after and said do you guys want to come over for dinner.
i can’t do the dishes. i made sniva a carrot. she got up to eat it. her trapdoor is so withered but i don’t think it’s a good idea for me to go on reddit to think about it. i want her to live six more days. i genuinely don’t know whether i’m neglecting her or should let it be. i am almost sure there is nothing i can do to fix her trapdoor. i’m going to do a small water change/replacement tonight if i can be upright enough. that’s it!! im as good as murdering her

No, really, this dude needs some kind of manager or something like that, otherwise he will drive himself into a dark corner.
I don't want to be overly critical, because I understand if Mr. Sanders has personal issues going on or if he's not able to manage his shit by himself. Not everyone is able to do it, so that's perfectly okay if he can’t.
However, he’s not a random guy who does a random job. He’s a public figure. He has his own series. And he made a commitment to his public to keep working on this series.
And before someone says “but he’s not forced to do it”... yes, but actually no. This is his job, this is exactly what he does for a living. Justifying him not doing his job makes no sense. It would be as if a waiter comes to you and says they don’t want to serve you. Sure, they are free to make this decision, but I doubt you would say that they’re doing their job because... well, they’re clearly not doing it.
In addition to that, there is the income Mr. Sanders gains from Patreon. This money doesn't come out of thin air: there are people behind every cent. People give him money, every month, because they want him to produce content with said money, as he promised. That’s literally how any job works: I pay you so you do the things I want you to do.
So yes, producing content is his job. And yes, he has to do it, because people are literally paying him to do it. And the content is clearly Sanders Sides, because that’s the reason why the majority of people follow and pay him.
But maybe that’s the problem: he’s not able to handle Sanders Sides. He’s not able to plan/write it. Maybe because of his lack of experience, maybe because he has personal issues, maybe because he just doesn’t want to.
Well, why doesn’t he hire a writer, then? Instead of wasting money on special effects, 200 props or other staff members, what about a writer? One single competent writer, who is not his friend, nor a fan of his work. He lives in America, not on Easter Island: I suppose there is at least one competent writer in a country so huge.
This way, the huge weight of the series won’t be just on himself as main writer and the product will be “bias-free”, because the writer will not be influenced by anything except the material he has. And, of course, Thomas will always be the one who has the last word, so it's not like the writer will fully replace him anyway.
Then he can use his money to hire a manager. One single competent manager, who knows how to do their job and helps him deal with schedule and communications. Again, he lives in America: I want to believe there are professionals somewhere. He may take time to find them, but if he searches, he can do it. Hiring staff is part of his job anyway, so he has to do it.
And if all of this is too difficult... well, easy jobs don’t exist. Every job has its ups and downs, even the one of your dreams. He's old enough to know that. And if he can’t do it, then I suggest him on working on himself first, then approach his job in a more mature, professional way.

Praxis in the face of the OneD&D OGL License.
I'm sure by now we've all heard about the leaked OneD&D OGL License. I won’t waste time explaining what it means and its ramifications for us when smarter people than I already have. Check out those links if you aren't up to date, then come back here. What I am here for is this: community organization. If we plan on putting pressure on Hasbro/WOTC, we may have to do more than create a negative buzz about it (though it certainly doesn’t hurt). And so, I have composed a quick and dirty master post of some stuff you can do that help show Hasbro how detrimental this decision would be for their brand.
So, what can we do about it?
A great way to think of this list is that you don’t necessarily have to do all of them to participate. Instead, take what works for you and your circumstances. Not everyone will be able to afford buying new ttrpgs or supporting artists, not everyone is willing to “borrow” information and sourcebooks online, and that’s okay! The important thing is that we make clear our stance and opinions on the new OGL License, and these are just a few ways you can do that.
QUICK NOTE DO NOT Harass anyone who works for Hasbro/WOTC or Second Parties, even those calling the shots, and DO NOT Harass the cast of Critical Role. None of them have control over this. And ESPECIALLY don’t harass anyone who doesn’t follow the steps outlined below. Thank you.
1) Boycott Boycotting official WOTC/Hasbro products and second parties is a great place to start. In that case, that means not only abstaining from purchasing products from WOTC/Hasbro, but also second parties, Like Critical Role, Roll 20, D&D beyond etc. You can decide yourself if you want to boycott exclusively D&D content, WOTC content, or all Hasbro properties, but I find the more pressure we put on them and bigger the reach, the better.
2) Support other TTRPGs and Systems Take this as an opportunity to explore other TTRPGs and Systems. The biggest ticket here is Pathfinder 2e, which split off from 4e when WOTC first attempted to revoke the OGL, and which will probably be the most similar to the D&D ruleset we are familiar with. But if you want to play something different, consider trying Call of Cthulhu, Vampire the Masquerade, Cyberpunk, etc. I’d especially recommend going on Itch.io and looking at the smaller TTRPGs available (note: if you purchased the Bundle for Racial Inequality back in 2020 you probably already have a lot of great games available to you.). There is a treasure trove of great games made by smaller creators that are worth Trying out if given the chance. In the coming months/years, it’s highly likely a lot of new mock D&D systems like Pathfinder will be coming out. Try out those too.
3) Fan Content and Content Creation Additionally, refraining from consuming/making D&D content online (actual play, and the like) will take attention and reach away from WOTC. consider this a humble suggestion to ease up on making/consuming content about D&D. If your favorite D&D creator starts branching out to different kinds of content and TTRPGs, show up and support them. The less attention we pay to WOTC, the better. I’d specifically recommend not watching Critical Role for a time, considering their partnership with D&D Beyond and WOTC. (Nothing against Critical Role, I love Critical Role)
4) 3rd Party Supplements Supporting 3rd party supplements is crucial at this time. If we take pressure off Official D&D products and supporting exclusively smaller creators, we show that our money can and will go to other avenues. Make sure to only purchase/use homebrew specifically from 3rd party websites, kickstarters, and the like rather than the D&D Beyond website. Additionally, support artists and writers. Patreon, commissions, tips, etc. are great options.
5)🏴‍☠️
Here’s some resources:
5etools - all information you need about 5e, easily searchable for free.
The Vault - information on torrenting D&D materials
Wikidot - less information than 5e tools, I but find it specifically useful for character creation. Once again, free.
6) Spread the word The more negative buzz we stir up and the more backlash generated, the more WOTC/Hasbro will be forced to do something. And if more people know about the additional ways we can support the cause, the better as well. Remember, the more pressure we put on them, the more likely they will be to cow to our demands for a less restrictive OGL license akin to the one we have had for years.
In Conclusion:
That’s about it for everything I personally know!  Remember, only do as much as you are able! Even if the only thing you can do is spread information on social media, that’s okay!
If I missed anything or you want to add to/correct something I said, feel free to leave a comment/reblog with that information. I’ll be sure to edit this with as much new information as possible, and give credit where applicable. Thank you!
The strength we have against Hasbro/WOTC here is that we are a large community surrounding a game designed to encourage working together for a common goal. It’s important to remember that we have the power to walk away if necessary and rebuild our community elsewhere. No matter what happens, keep your spirits held high! We will survive this, whether WOTC/Hasbro is with us or not.  And lastly, a prompt for engagement: feel free to reblog/comment with some TTRPG systems made by small creators you would personally recommend or that you want to try. Let’s keep the ball rolling!

Top 20 Tested, Tried, True, & Trusted Tips for College Success
I dare you to try that 3 times fast! …and hi! It’s Mac Crushes Monday! The day I crush Monday into the dirt with y’all’s help! Inbox me something motivational, okay?
Anyway, I don’t think I’ve mentioned this to y’all but I’m on Dean’s List at my college. I want to help other people so here I am to do that. If you find anything helpful in this post, please share it for others!
1.      Vague is a waste of time. You won’t get a good grade. I try to spend another thirty minutes or whatever adding specifics. It’s worth it, trust me.
2.      The first thing I do at the beginning of a semester is get ahold of that syllabus! Plug all your due dates into your calendar & block out scheduled times to work on schoolwork.
3.      In terms of that last tip, I plan what I’m going to work on and when. It’s like budgeting, except with time instead of money. Y’all… planning which assignments to tackle and when has SAVED ME from missing due dates!
4. I include a “safety block” in that scheduling habit. Perhaps a day on the weekend to play catch up if I skipped a blocked-out time for schoolwork during the week. Look, life and lack of motivation happens. Be prepared.
5.      Are you to your safety block at the end of the week and still don’t want to work on school with the little time you have left? Suck it up and do it. I know you probably wanted an easier tip but really, it’s what you have to do.
6.      Skip Google Scholar. Use JSTOR and ProQuest with your institutional access instead. Google Scholar, though a great resource, includes many articles and peer-reviewed journals that cost to access with no way to filter those out.
7.      Include an italicized section of “Notes” after your “Works Cited” section. This section of notes explains to my professors why I included certain features in my paper, or violated any of the guidelines, or whatever. I can do this without sending a separate explanation in an email; or worse, skipping an explanation all together. Don’t do that!
8.      Citation Machine is a website where you plug in a link or a what-have-you and it’ll pump out your citation to simply copy and paste into your paper. Tried and true. I depend on Citation Machine a little too heavily, to be honest.
9.      CITE ALL SOURCES and avoid using information from someone else’s essay you found online, or Wikipedia, etc. You WILL eventually get caught, I promise, and it’s not worth the risk of being thrown out of your college!
10.      I don’t let utilizable study tips sit in my Pinterest boards collecting dust. I use them. Shoot, some of them might’ve even inspired this list!
11.      Studying in a library or coffee shop can be very distracting. It will either motivate you or hinder you. Figure out which person you are. For me personally, doing school at home increases my focus and enhances my productivity, versus being out somewhere.
12.      Try different incentives to study and if the right incentive helps you, stick to it. Whether it’s your “Cheat Meal” being on study day after you finish, or something totally different... a hit of the reward hormone Dopamine can work wonders.
13.      If you don’t understand something, your luck will be that it will be on the exam. Don’t skip over it no matter how badly you want to. Grab Google to help you figure it out.
14.      To memorize something, I physically write it down, literally say it out loud, and quiz myself, answering out loud. For most confidence-boosting results, articulate it as impressively as you can.
15.   What kind of learner are you? Find out, then research how to succeed as this type of learner.
16.   Stay organized! Being messy may be associated with brilliance, but organization is associated with success.
17.   Aim to make Best Attendance Award. Unless you are violently or contagiously sick, do not skip. Commit to the classes and learning experience good money was spent on, and be proud that you are! Wear it as a badge of honor.
18.   Don’t miss the point: Ask questions! “Why are we learning this? What does this tie into? How can I use this in the future?” This can help motivate you to learn.
19.   Sit in the front or second row. Show the teacher you’re serious and force yourself to pay attention. A professor being able to clearly see me if I’m on my phone DOES deter me from using it when I could be taking notes.
20.   It can be hard work to come up with your own great conclusions and ideas. However, that’s what librarians, professors, and tutors are for to help you with. With their help, commit to honing new skills and improving yourself academically.
Bonus: I need mentors and so do you! Start your assignment early as crap so you can contact mentors for help when you’re in an area where you feel stuck.

Manifesto: Proclamation of Artistic Intent.
Inspired by reading the manifestos linked on the yesterweb site, I wanted to write something for myself.  The manifestos on the linked page are mostly about the state of the internet.  I chose to write an artist statement, which happens to be affected by the state of the internet.  I’ll put this on my site later.
Please read this if you’d like to collaborate with me, whether it’s for a commission, zine, or group project.
Tumblr media
My Art
My art is a manifestation of my information and ideas.
My information and ideas may manifest as illustration, narratives, writing, and whatever I feel like at the moment.
My information and ideas should be disseminated freely and accessibly so my evil thoughts can grow.
My art does not necessarily educate, instill values, or provide comfort.
My art is meant to share emotions and experiences.
My art is made primarily for me and my wife.  If anyone else happens to enjoy it, I’m glad.
I publish almost all of the art I make so it can live outside my head and stop bothering me at 4am when I’m trying to sleep.
I unabashedly self-promote with reblogs, retweets, and reposts.  But I don’t waste other’s time with clickbait, popup ads, or spam.
Art In General
Porn is art.  Sexuality should not be inherently shunned.
Technical skill is only useful if helps depict what is in your mind, or if you’re going into the art industry to draw things for others.
Spending eons on practice and studies is only helpful if you want to improve and find joy in improvement.
Make art for yourself, and not the algorithm or for the approval of your peers or parents.
Art is semi-precious.  Discard the art at will, or treasure the art for as long as it brings joy.
Make tons of quick messy sketches to get every idea in my brain out!
Make a couple of well-worked pieces slowly to enjoy the process.
Other’s Art
The art I want to see is being made by independent artists and my peers, not corporations.  Independent artists need more support than corporate art to stay alive.
If I see art I love, giving the artists money to survive in our capitalist joker society is a fine action if I can afford it.
If I see art I love, sharing the art helps spread the joy.
If I see art I love, commenting on the art helps let the author know that their art is being shared and enjoyed.
If I see art I do not like, I discard it from my view and mind so I do not waste energy or time on it.  Perhaps that art was meant for someone else to see.
If I see art I profoundly dislike, use it as a learning moment to figure out what I would personally avoid and what I would personally do better.
If I see art that promotes hatred, bigotry, or other fucked up shit that hurts real people, I do not spread the art.  Spreading shit art is a net negative: vulnerable people are exposed, the spread message fortifies other bigots, and bigots crave negative attention.
Projects
My art must to free to view, read, and enjoy.
Paywalls are only for limited physical runs of zines
Paywalls must eventually be lifted when all physical copies are sold out.
If someone likes my art enough to pay for it, they will.
Closing art off with an indefinite paywall to prevent piracy does not mean you are recouping money from people who would not have paid for your art anyways.
Always credit the used works, such as fonts and design assets.
Always credit contributors.
Zines should be easy to DIY and cheap or free for others to enjoy.
Independent art books that end up with hardcovers, glossy pages, 50 contributors, $2000 budgets, and $50 price tags should be called art books rather than zines to respect the craft and work that goes into them.  They should also compensate their contributors with money.
Group zines and artbooks should at the very least compensate their contributors with a free copy of the final product, shipping included.
Values
Actual diversity and intersectionality makes art so much more beautiful.  Diversity has meaning beyond the corporate buzzword of fictional characters depictions.  It means real living artists of every race, gender, sexuality, financial status, and other backgrounds making art, having a platform to share their honest emotions and feeling, and actively being supported.
Art is more nuanced than a 1:1 assessment of moral character.  It ain’t as simple as “wholesome, good, safe people only consume and make wholesome, good, safe art”.  The most abusive human beings can hide behind the facade of a Pixar director making cute kid’s cartoons.
That being said, viewers have the right to avoid any art or artists they do not want to see.  Boundaries should be respected.
Even with things I do not understand, I try to give basic respect.  I assume good faith, and do not debate others’ self-identification.
Bigotry, hate speech, hate mobs, shaming, “cringe culture”, insipid fandom drama, harassment, and devoted negativity is a waste of one’s life.  I do not want to provide a platform for any of that, nor associate with people who promote shit like that.
This list is non-exhaustive.  I hope it gives you a good idea of the artist I am.

do you have any tips on how to live off as an artist professionally?
I’m still trying to figure that out myself honestly. I work a full time job and do this on the side right now, but overall the general points that I would give are:
A) have at least four separate streams of financial revenue (so when you draw something, stream and record it, sell the design on products through printers or separately, etc.) my current methods are sketches through donations, then I stream the process. I also take cuts from steams and videos and reupload them as YouTube shorts since that’s being pushed pretty hard right now, algorithmically. Clip Studio Paint has a Timelapse feature as well so that cuts down the time I would have taken to edit down a screen recording myself. For designs that can be printed, I sell the design files for a few dollars on Etsy- which is a great way to do it since it’s only a few cents per listing and you can have 999 “products” per listing. So it’s a good way to sell generic designs to third party printing shops. Just make sure your pricing it so you’re still making money off of it with that listing fee in mind. In the future I plan on selling physical products but for now this is what I can do. Another tip is that for printing designs, I sell them as a zip file with TIFFs and PNGs so if the printer is using a cricut cutter for vinyl the design will still be compatible, I’d do some research on this if that’s the route you want to go with.
And B) the other big thing is being sociable, but not overly soliciting. Reaching out to people to sell a product won’t always go well, but I won’t say don’t do it at all. Usually if i reach out directly to someone as a “cold lead” I offer a specific service for free so I can get experience doing it if I’ve never done it before (my first music video with Broekai was a free service so I could learn about timing and BPM in relation to editing and animation for example). Generally you should only directly reach out to people if they’ve shown interest in a service you can provide. Respond to people, be proactive in direct interactions, keep in mind the people who keep coming back.
Other things to keep in mind are the going union rates or general rates for people within your industry, and seeing if there are guilds, associations, etc. that you can join to expand your network and learn more about the inner workings of your trade. I have not made this effort because I’m not in a position to.
Notes on commissions: regardless of quality or time, the general rates for illustrators and freelancers are between $11-$15 an hour, and you should price it hourly rather than a flat rate so if you keep having to do revisions you get compensated for that. Commissions are different than requests in the way of effort and final product. In the past I’ve allowed clients to sit in on discord calls with me while I work so that feedback is immediate and time isn’t wasted for either of us. This also gives me and my clients the opportunity to get to know each other, so if future projects are in the works we know what to expect from one another.
Again, I’m not full time right now and I don’t anticipate myself going full time for a very long while. If you live in the US, my final tip would be to look up your individual state’s Arts Commission to see if there are any state funded programs you can apply for. They give funds for state-based art, preformance, and writing programs and may even have job openings, or business development classes if youre wanting to make a presence on your local front. I have not done this because I have an already full plate, but I do check the website from time to time to see what’s updated.
Thank you for the question, tldr: four separate streams of revenue, be social with clients, research your industry, and check to see if your government funds the arts

I seriously wonder if anyone will catch the mistake on this posted at first glance but let me just tell you that it made the author of this article mad.
Le Nouveau Film, 15 October 1938
Errors to be Avoided
It may not be necessary to be very well-read to be a book seller, nor very cultivated to be a movie theater manager. However, knowledge is power - because maxims and proverbs never grow old. Let us come to a precise fact. No one who goes often to the suburbs has been able to resist the urge to photograph a poster decorating a wall in Asnières. On it you will read: “New complete version, in one single film, a masterpiece by Emile Zola: Les Misérables.” And now we can all agree that it is regrettable that a theater manager invites the inhabitants of the town, who are not all idiots, come admire Les Misérables, “Zola’s immortal masterpiece.” All the same…They must know of Victor Hugo in Asnières. It made me think of that producer, whose name I will not cite, who one day said “Beethoven!...They don’t know him in the countryside.” No joke! I’ll say it bluntly: these people are terrible.
They are terrible because they will try to make you think that the public is beneath it all, doesn’t know anything, doesn’t understand anything. From there, all discussions of aesthetics, sophisticated criticisms, the handling of ideas, the effort of thought and design that, in the end, make up the constant progress of cinema, all that is for nothing and is wasted time. In effect, if the spectators are still to be confusing Victor Hugo and Zola and are incapable of attributing the exact paternity of Les Misérables…just turn everything off and let’s go to bed!
Do you find it acceptable that certain theater operators, imposing between the production and the audience, decide at first glance “the more idiotic it is, the more it pleases them”? I cite that phrase because I heard it often and it runs around theaters like a slogan. Well it’s just not true! Additionally, it’s not true that those that doesn’t understand a “beautiful film” are idiots. There are movies that require the habit of spectatorship, a general ambiance that is almost always found in Paris and which is less likely in the countryside. The initial misfortune and mistake is that producers, distributors, and theater operators are never in agreement. No one, by the way, is in agreement. Just look and listen. They’re saying right now that the public wants happy films. But statistics prove that grand dramatic films are making money everywhere, hands down. It’s said that the public doesn’t like musical films. That’s not true either. There are examples. They’ll tell you that some great super artistic film won’t “work” in the countryside. That’s false. There are examples. Or that some funny comedy isn’t for the Champs-Elysées. That’s false. There are examples, and the audience at the Champs-Elysées is like those elsewhere, except that there are certain low categories where they won’t venture - most likely, by the way, because of snobbism. They say, they said…all of it is false. And so?
So, we must be reasonable and realistic. Can we say that good films are those that earn money? Without a doubt, on the condition that you complete the phrase by saying “Good films, very good films, are those that earn money everywhere. And they exist.”
Only, to come back to my point of departure, if examples like that of the poster in Asnières are going to happen often, I know lots of people who will renounce going to see Les Misérables, if we insist that it is a work by Emile Zola, even if Les Misérables is a very good film.

Any recommendations for someone who wants to get fish but hasn't really ever cared for them before? They're such fun little guys but I haven't any idea where to start...
Ooh, yes I love helping people get into the hobby! May your wallet Rest In Peace
The absolute first thing to do is read up on “cycling” a new tank. It’s the process of establishing colonies of beneficial bacteria which will break down the harmful byproducts of fish waste into much less harmful components. There’s tons of fantastic guides out there, and this one is pretty comprehensive! It may sound a little intimidating but it’s actually very straightforward
https://www.buildyouraquarium.com/how-to-fishless-cycle/
I’ve always done cycling with a liquid ammonia solution, because it keeps the tank relatively clean. There’s a number of brands made specifically for aquariums like Dr Tim’s and Fritz Fishless Fuel.
The one thing I DON’T recommend are those bottles of beneficial bacteria like API Quick Start. It’s tempting to try and speed up the cycling but I think that it’s much safer to let the BB establish naturally. And those quick start products aren’t even really guaranteed to work anyways
Those are really the biggest things starting off. From there it all depends on the size of tank and fish you want!
But a few other random thoughts/tidbits:
Larger tanks are actually easier to take care of than smaller tanks! In smaller tanks, similar changes in water chemistry compared to larger tanks, have a larger effect since they’re less diluted
Try to avoid buying fish from large chain pet stores if you can. They’re not always kept in the best conditions or sourced from the best conditions, and the sales people aren’t usually experts. If there is one, find a local store dedicated to fish, AKA your LFS (local fish store!) 😄
30gal/110L is a great starting size, but go larger if you have the money/space! Just try to not go smaller than 10gal, I tried that when I was first starting out and had a bad time with that
If you’re getting multiple species, try and stick with ones that come from the same general geographic regions, e.g. only South American species or only SE Asian species, etc. Fish usually prefer or even need specific water parameters like certain pH levels and temperatures and ones from the same regions usually (but not always!) have the same preferences/needs. That said captive bread specimens are generally more tolerant of deviations in these parameters
RESEARCH, RESEARCH, and RESEARCH. Basically every commonly available fish species for sale has dedicated care guides online
Don’t be discouraged if something doesn’t go right! The fish are pets, yes, and it sucks when a mistake affects them, but it’s still a hobby and you’ll learn from your mistakes! You’ll always be learning something new no matter how long you keep fish! 😄

I’m not fussed if nobody listens, I created it and I want it to live forever!
Everybody has different reasons for writing and recording songs. Some do it because they want to reach the dizzy heights of stardom and play in front of thousands in a stadium with people cheering their name and singing along.
I remember seeing Noel Gallagher sing Don’t Look Back in Anger at Wembley stadium. How he had 80’000 people in the palm of his hand singing his song back to him. I can understand why that would be a goal for an aspiring musician writing songs in their bedrooms.
When I started writing songs I did it because I was inspired to by my song writing hero and because I found writing songs to be a cathartic way to release the angst and stress that made me feel so depressed. I truly am happiest when it’s just me, my guitar and a pen and paper. I can release my stresses through music, metaphors and sometimes open attacks on the people or issues that anger me.
I record my songs because I enjoy the process. I’m particularly fascinated by the production element. I study it and learn as much about it as possible. Again. It because I want to be a producer but because I enjoy it and music is my hobby.
Don’t get me wrong to be involved in music and to make a living out of it would be amazing but putting myself in front of people and singing night after night doesn’t appeal to me. I’m to much of an introvert unless I’m drunk and that’s a dangerous road to go down.
So why do I waste money and put my music out there? Why would I waste my time and effort?
Well because if these words that were said to me by my friend and mentor Nelson King.
“Record the songs you write, even if it’s on your phone, if you don’t they die with you”
By taking the lyrics out of my books and recording them and even publishing them means they exists and no matter how bad or good they may be every song will out live me and who knows when I’m dead someone might like them.
I don’t want to be famous, the thought of it makes me sick. All that attention and intrusion doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. I don’t even publish my work with my real name partly because my real name isn’t exactly rock ‘n roll but mainly because I just happier being not being known.
Do you write, record and publish your own music? Why do you do it?

biiiiig vent under the cut
once again feeling suffocated by the corner i have been getting backed into for some time. i need money but don’t know how to get it, seems like any option i have is a huge risk in some way. none of the jobs in walking distance will hire me, and i could only work a shitty min wage job for so long until it’s unbearable. i could attempt to afford & go to community college for a year or two but that is putting a lot of faith in my brain that isn’t functioning well (& is getting worse bc of the med i take to manage pain), and even then if i could handle it & graduate i may not even get more money out of a job that requires schooling, or i may hate whatever field i go into. i don’t even know anyone who can point me in the right direction, i have no “ins” to any field. i can’t get on disability because i don’t even have a ‘solid documented diagnosis’ that would qualify. shit even things like giving plasma might not be an option bc of my blood work or might make me feel like shit for days. all i want is to be with those i love yet that seems far-fetched, a concept perpetually out of reach- as does any decent future i wish i could pursue. am i just being dramatic? am i wasting potential & missing opportunities without realizing it? am i orchestrating this fate of mine, still, as i have been for so long- or am i just another product of this country’s shit economy? just another speck of dirt the corporate elite walk over. isn’t it depressing that that is how the majority’s lives are treated?
you know, i admire people who can experience the worst kind of treatment humans have to offer, & the worst hand they could be dealt- who still believe in humanity, in any way. because from my perspective, humans are inherently greedy and selfish and have no bounds to their cruelty. destroy this society and it would just spit out the same horrific outcome over and over again. people are easily brainwashed, people are stupid and will do anything to tear you down from what little sanity you’ve held onto.
i am so angry all of the time. i am filled as full as i can be of bitterness and resentment- knowing things could be better for me and those i love if a select few put an end to their own greed. & knowing they won’t. how does anyone function like this? how does anyone function at all? how do you stop the misery from consuming you? there seems to be no bottom- you just keep falling until you die. & somehow even then your matter won’t be allowed to rest.
i am just broke, and aching. i want one painfully simple thing and yet it’s perpetually out of reach. i don’t know what to do, i don’t know which direction to turn to, i don’t know if i should even bother. i am tired.

0 To 5 Billion
Twenty-five years ago, the number was 0. No, it wasn’t the temperature, in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. It wasn’t the inflation rate or the interest rate. It wasn’t the number of EVs that had been sold.
Nope, it was the number of people on social media. It simply did not exist. But data released earlier this year show just how much of a force it has become, because there are now slightly more than five billion people worldwide on social media, or 62.3% of the world’s population. It may not be Ferrari-like acceleration, but it is still pretty impressive.
The typical user spends 2h23m per day on 6.7 platforms. Of course, your mileage may vary, but those are the averages. Among Android users, they spend 34 hours per month on TikTok and 28 hours per month on YouTube.
And you wonder where all of your time went.
Overall, Instagram takes top honors as favorite platform, toppling WhatsApp, a popular platform everywhere but the US. Overall, we spend 6h40m a day online doing one thing or another. Based on my weekly screen time report that pops onto my phone every Sunday morning, I am above average.
Tumblr media
All of this time has to come out of other things, since we are still kind of locked in at 24 hours available each day. Television watching is in decline, losing another 17 minutes last year. I suspect it is also coming out of interpersonal time, productive time at work, and leisure activities. Sure, we might figure out how to juggle things (how many of you keep a social app open on your computer while at work?), but let’s face it: You’re probably not dedicating quality time to either.
And since marketers go where the eyeballs are, digital ad spend grew by 10% last year to $720 billion. Social media ad spending was $207 billion.
So what does this say about us as a people? A lot. It says that we have changed considerably in a quarter of a century, that no matter how much we may naysay social media specifically, or this digital lifestyle more generally, we have embraced it all nonetheless.
Social media has become the way that people connect and reconnect. Yes, some people use it as a substitute for F2F interactions. Like it or not, this is how we do it, and in the developed world, it has become the de facto means of communication. When was the last time you sent a greeting card of any kind, such as birthday, holidays, anniversary, etc.? Do you even call people these days? My calling log grows more sparse with each passing year. Do you no longer feel the need to attend reunions and similar social gatherings, because you already know what your old pals have been doing thanks to their posts?
We get our news online. We find our entertainment online. We shop online. We get our recipes online. There’s not much we don’t get online. And the implication to marketers is clear as the world approaches digital totality: you either join the tidal shift in redirected advertising dollars, or run the risk of completely losing relevance.
But as we continue the transition, we must be cognizant of the fact that old-school methods of advertising, notably mass communication on broadcast or print media vehicles, is probably a waste of time and money. A shotgun approach to advertising means spending massive sums to spray messages in the general direction of people, hoping that you actually reach some of the people you really want. We can do much better now with targeted advertising. It behooves us to understand the users of each platform, and then utilizing all of the tools available, go after specific people. The audience of many has been replaced by the audience of one.
I know that this creeps out some people, as we have discussed multiple times. But as we approach the end of this course, we need to step back and try to see the bigger picture. This is where we are. Digital marketing commands an ever growing portion of all marketing activities, and I suspect that, while old-school methods may never go away completely, it will be the gorilla in the living room.
Discussion topics like this may summon comparisons to Black Mirror, the Jetsons, The Matrix, and numerous other pop culture touchstones. Those may very well have been prophetic; we just didn’t realize it at the time. If you are uncomfortable with change, you’re in for a rough ride ahead. I don’t see this crazy train slowing down any time soon.
I do hope that my students will ponder these stats, but more importantly think about what it all means. Things have changed even in just the three months we have been journeying together. It may not feel like much, but when you turn to look over your shoulder, you can see just how far we have come, not just in 2024, but in the last 25 years.
That little speck you see in the distance is where we were. We can’t go back there, and to try is futile. Zero may have been quaint, but we’re at five billion now and growing. What you do with that reality is up to you.

Is Prosperity Of Life A Scam?
I’m sure you’ve heard of Prosperity Of Life. Maybe you’re wondering if it’s one of those pyramid schemes or not. Or is Prosperity Of Life a scam or is it legit? Well, you came to the right place because I’m just going to shoot straight with you. I don’t want your money and I don’t want to waste your time with nonsense.
I simply want to give you my honest opinion of this program and let you decide for yourself, if it’s something that you would want to try.
There’s a lot to learn about this company so let’s get to it.
What Is Prosperity of Life?
Prosperity of Life (formerly known as Polaris Global) is a network marketing company that was founded by Shane and Rachel Krider. They sell personal development and wealth building events and if you want to make money with this program you have to recruit people to attend these events and ultimately get them to join the company.
Here’s the kicker though…. these events are very, very expensive so good luck finding people to join in. That makes it pretty similar to a pyramid scheme to me. That’s just my opinion. But let’s keep digging and find out more.
There’s red flags all over the place when I read up on this company. The main focus of these events is to get the attendees to join as a monthly member.
On top of these live events and conferences they also sell digital products that consist of personal development workshops and online training modules that actually just promote Prosperity of Life.
Products
One thing I do like about this program so far is that all the products are high-commision-products meaning you can make anywhere from $1,000 on up per sale! With that being said, these high-ticket products will be difficult to sell as not everyone has a couple grand lying around to join a make-money-online business that may or may not make you any money.
The products and services they offer are called “Master Of Destinies” and they are pricey!
Product #1 – M-1: Master of Destinies – Home Study: This is a home-study course where you can watch previously recorded seminars that will supposedly transform you into a perpetual individual. Seminars include: Foundation Live, Sovereignty Live, and Influence Live.
Price: $2,855
Potential Commission per Sale: $1,828
Product #2 – M-7: Includes 4 more recorded seminars from Sovereignty Live and Influence Live.
Cost: $5,740
Potential Commission per Sale: $3,672
Product #3 – M7 Fast Track: This is a combo pack that includes M-1 and M-7.
Cost: $7,820
Potential Commission per Sale: $5,000
Product #4 – M2 Sovereignty Live: This is a 5-day live event that covers all kinds of important topics like how to invest your money, asset allocation, tax minimization, and much more.
Cost: $9,940
Potential Commission per Sale: $5,000
Product #5 – M3 Influence Live: Learn about personal development and leadership strategies. Find out how to create a life that you desire that doesn’t go against your personal beliefs and values.
Cost: $16,190
Potential Commission per Sale: $8,000
So, as you can see it’s pretty expensive just to get started. The least expensive product will cost you $2,855 bucks! But it may be worth it if you can make some sales and get some of those high-ticket commissions.
Is Prosperity Of Life A Scam
No, I don’t think it’s necessarily a scam but I just couldn’t see myself spending all that money knowing that there’s a chance I may not even be able to break even.
Plus there are some Red Flags I should mention to you…
Shane Krider got into some trouble with his last network marketing program, Liberty League. He took more than $5 million in a pyramid scheme. I understand that people can learn from there mistakes and perhaps he has changed for the better.
The bottom line here is that Prosperity Of Life is a MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) Scheme meaning you will have to work your tale off recruiting people and selling all these expensive products. It’s very similar to a Pyramid Scheme.

For Love Of Novelty
There’s this idea in board game discourse of ‘the cult of the new.’ I’m sure it exists elsewhere, but I can see it very much in the culture of spaces like BoardgameGeek, and I always like making fun of that site, so I shall do so. The idea is that new things get more attention and are considered more worthy than old things, and this is true even if the old things aren’t actually all that old. At the time of writing, the oldest game in the BoardgameGeek top 10 is War of the Ring: Second Edition, which is from 2011. While sure, 2011 is 13 years ago, it is pretty interesting that this is a hobby with important representatives from the 1960s, 1920s, 1880s, and then we get into things like Chess and everything gets weird.
And it isn’t just that these older games like Uno and Scrabble aren’t considered part of the ranking system on BoardgameGeek, that the site is categorically unrelated. They absolutely are, and you can see their place in the rating system that they have. It’s a funny thing that I’ve spoken about called the tail of spite, and a smarter scientist than I have written about it.
With Cancon behind me, I have been thinking about this vision of new things. Board games are a fascinating media space where I think it’s reasonable to say unless you have a position in the distribution and transport side of the industry, people do not appreciate the scope or scale of the available products. In 2023, more board games released than I could reasonably play in my lifetime. I don’t want to, of course – a lot of them are games that just don’t interest me, and some of them are just continuations of existing games. Even if I just looked at every game that released in 2023, BoardgameGeek tells me that’s something in the order of fifty thousand games to then sift through.
Working CanCon is an interesting balance point because it’s also the home of the Good Games ding-and-dent pit. It’s a huge collection of games in varying stages of damage, priced down to clear out the warehouse of a big game company in the country. It’s a place I want, so bad, to spend a lot of money, because my brain reacts to heavy discounts with that poor-person brain problem of ‘well, I’m wasting money by not taking advantage of the deals.’ Despite this deep love of the discounts — And we’re talking about some ridiculous discounts, like Seafall for $5 AUD — in 2023 and 2024, I didn’t buy myself anything in those pits. I did use the pit to get some presents this year, but that was very pointedly getting things for other people. The thing that keeps me constrained in this way is the material needs to transport goods from CanCon (in Canberra) to my home (four hours away) in a small vehicle. I did get some gifts this year, and Fox got some stuff from her wishlist, but what I mostly did was see a lot of cool game ideas that may or may not be well-executed across a host of interesting themes.
God, I love checking out the Pit.
I don’t have much time to spend in the Pit, really. I do little five minute walks when I’m taking break every hour from my time at the booth. And in the Pit, I find games all the time, games I’ve never heard of, and games that look interesting. They’re often heavily discounted, and in many cases they’re really good when I get them home. That’s how I found Purrlock Holmes, a game I wholly love, and Ghosts Love Candy, which I also think is great. The economic system of success or failure doesn’t necessarily produce good games.
One of my favourite examples of this is the game Wise Guys, which I have a copy of, which is, literally, the same game as Sons Of Anarchy. The license ran out, the company redid the game with different images and a different flavour. The game is 100% the same, and it seems that, based on the sales of Sons of Anarchy, Wise Guys got heavily produced and warehoused. But Sons of Anarchy sold amazingly well, and Wise Guys has been in stacks for years – regularly, marked down to the $30 to $5 range, just trying to move units of it.
It’s the same game! It’s even newer than Sons of Anarchy! But somehow, when this game gets judged on identical merits, this one is considered a bit of a meh game and the other is a big best seller.
The success or failure of a game doesn’t really relate to its actual quality, it seems. It’s just pretty much rolling dice and on the one hand that’s pretty cool, it means that board games (and its cousin the TTRPG) space are this vibrant ecosystem full of so many different choices where you might find your absolute favourite thing at exactly your right vibe, it does have the unfortunate asterisk that there are still some big trends that are driven by capitalism. There are train games that sell to Train Game people and that means that anything Train Game Like that tries to explore similar but not the same space eventually gets pushed by publishers into being Another Train Game. If you make board games, you pretty much have to make it modestly on services like Print on Demand tools, release it as a print-and-play, or hope against hope that kickstarter catches fire for you, and kickstarter,
well, Kickstarter brings its own novelty problems.
Kickstarter is a space with biases. Kickstarter will generally favour game projects that have a specific look and vibe. Kickstarter also likes things like stretch goals and of course, lots of plastic. Famously, kickstarter is a place to make game projects into big projects, where a game that might have been great as a $40 experience that lasts an hour instead needs to bloat up into a campaign and miniatures project just to make enough money to justify the creation of that core game.
And these problems
aren’t new.
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!

A must-try for macrophiles

Thanks to this I was able to make my dream come true. I tried it with my girlfriend and the next thing I knew I ended up half a cm tall in her hand. I was able to explore her body all night. A few tips: 1) Make sure you get the antidote as well when you buy this. It’s sold separately so unless you want to stay tiny… plan accordingly. A lot of people complain about this. First they shrink and then they have to stay tiny for the next couple of days until they can get a taste of the antidote. Well, that doesn’t sound that bad to me at all! But whatever you wish to do, if you are reading this, you have been warned.
2) Make sure you can really trust the person you’re going to use this with. Horror stories are surfacing about people shrinking and then terrible things happening to them. DON’T use this with someone you just met, no matter how hot that may sound. DON’T use this with prostitutes. DON’T use this without telling your girlfriend/wife/whatever.
3) It’s called FAST because it’s meant to be used fast. Its effect wears off a few seconds after it’s opened. It’s made that way for a reason, otherwise it could be used to shrink unwilling peeps by adding it to their food and drinks. So don’t hesitate and just swallow it as soon as you can once you take it out of the blister. It’s not cheap so you’ll want to make sure you don’t waste it.
4) There are currently four sizes available: M (turns you ten times smaller, so about 17/18 centimeters if you’re average), S (turns you twenty times smaller, so about 8/9 centimeters), XS (about three hundred times smaller, more or less half a centimeter) and XXS (almost two thousand times smaller, more or less a millimeter). Make sure you get the version you would enjoy best. Essentially S means human dildo, XXS microscopic fun. Personally I made sure to try them all and can’t wait for new sizes to be added.

Works as intended, tastes awful

I have no qualms about the functionality of this product. It works just as advertised. I only wish it didn’t taste so bitter. It left a horrible taste in my mouth which almost ruined my playtime with my wife and I was too small to do anything about it. Because of the peculiar way it has to be used, there is no way it can be added to some orange juice or soda. They could make some strawberry or chocolate flavored versions to fix this problem and I really hope they do.

I haven’t used this product and I don’t intend to. However, since it was made available to the public, all kinds of freaks and perverts have started using it to sneak into my house and spy on me. Just so you know, everyone I’ve caught has ended up underfoot. I have no reservations about stepping into perverts who have no respect for the privacy of women, and no one should!

Beware of compatibility!

I wish I never agreed to let my (now ex) husband use this thing. Apparently the growth formula in the antidote does not react with his body, so he stayed small. He’s here with me as I write this, sitting on the desk. Five millimeters tall. I’ve spoken with doctors all around the state and no one was able to ultimately find a cure for him. Just do not use this. It’s not worth the risk.

Not just for sexy purposes!

I’ve gotten a bottle of this and I’ve started using it to carry my boyfriend around. I can sneak him into a concert then hide in the bathroom and get him back to normal there. Of course, because of its high price, it doesn’t make sense to use it for a $10 movie ticket. Just do your math and make sure the money you’re saving is worth the effort. EDIT: Beware because it can backfire as businesses are starting to wisen up to its use. Airports are a no-go. They have updated their metal detectors so they can sense hidden tiny people. It made the news once when they found a woman who was carrying someone in her panties. Imagine her embarrassment! Trains and buses are still fair game as far as I know.

“Cured” me of size-related fantasies
28 of 30 users found this helpful
I guess this is personal, as many people enjoyed it just fine. For me shrinking down wasn’t a very good experience. My girlfriend at the time was very careless and rough and ended up bruising me and leaving me in pain. When she finally returned me to normal, I ended up with a broken leg. We broke up soon after. I don’t fantasize anymore about that kind of thing. I guess it’s some kind of PTSD, but whenever I check some size related materialnow, I sorta panic. I guess my advice would be: use it if you really want but make sure you really know who you’re getting in bed with.

Me and my husband divorced over this
75 of 100 users found this helpful
Honestly I found this kind of annoying. My husband would come to me and ask me to be his giantess. OK, I said at first, why not. But then he started wanting to do it every night. Regular sex wasn’t on the menu anymore. Instead he would climb up my feet as I sat down on the bed or on the armchair. All he wanted was to be at my feet and sometimes other parts of me while shrunken. Naturally this was boring to me, so I began to object to it. Eventually I told him I didn’t want to do it anymore. It was about that time that he started seeing another woman, I think. Eventually he left with his new mistress. Our daughter is mad at him and says I should have crushed him back when I had the chance. She’s probably right…

Writing this review in place of my boyfriend
80 of 134 users found this helpful I’m writing this because he can’t. He is currently 1 mm tall and licking (I guess? I can barely see or feel him) my feet. Since he shrunk a week ago he hasn’t wanted to return to normal (I’ve given him the antidote a few times, but he refuses to take it). So for him, this thing would be a 10 out of 10. For me, it’s more of a 0 out of 10… I’m getting real bored of having a speck-sized boyfriend hanging out on my toes. To other girls who might be reading this: learn from my mistake and if your boyfriend is that much of a pervert, dump him on the spot and go look for a normal one instead. Rating: 5 out of 10

Ooops! I lost her

My girlfriend had always wanted to be tiny so I let her have her way. Problem is… I can’t find her anymore! I’m not sure where the hell she might be. I’ve searched anywhere, from my clothes to our bedroom. Be really careful what you do once you shrink someone down. I’m leaving a good rating anyway since this thing clearly works.

I squished my brother 99 of 127 users found this helpful
this is maybe too personal to share, but i wanted to warn other people of the dangers of using this “shrinking powder”. one day we couldn’t find my brother anymore. me and my mom thought he had run away from home and wanted tocall the police. that’s when we found the bottle of shrinking powder in his room. we started panicking and searched the whole house. we were very careful of where we were stepping and completely clueless as to why he would use such a thing. i only found out a few hours later, when i was about to do my laundry. he had climbed on the crotch of my dirty panties and was frolicking in there. it grossed me out at first, then i got so mad. he had shrunk himself so he could go into my bedroom and perv on me, his own sister. i could not think straight anymore and squished him on the spot. to this day i don’t really regret it but i never told mom the truth. she thinks he’s just missing and hopes maybe someday we’ll find him on the floor of the living room…

I prepared for this in advance. I started searching for a house with a hot female roommate. I found the perfect apartment and signed a one-year deal. I’m really sorry about this, Sarah (not your real name, of course), but I’ve been spying on you for months now. I make myself small enough that I can sneak under a closed door, then make my way under your desk. That’s the perfect place to look at you undressing. Sometimes when you’re studying at your desk I stare at your beautiful feet and legs for hours. The shape of your toes, every wrinkle in your sole is forever burned into my mind now. You don’t know how many loads I’ve blown under your desk, Sarah… To you, I’m the rommate who’s always outside. I heard you talking on the phone, you’ve said it so many times. You love having me as a roommate since it means having the house for yourself most of the time. Ah, if only you knew the truth…

Great for busy moms
78 of 104 users found this helpful
I realize many people don’t endorse this use of the powder, but who cares. I think it works great for busy moms like me. I just make my kids small, then bring them to the office so I can keep an eye on them all of the time. My co-workers actually find them cute. It’s way cheaper than a nanny when you consider the money you save on food. And if needed, punishing them requires no effort. Just a tiny fickle with your finger and boom! They straighten out. They fear me like I’m some kind of god, which I appreciate. I don’t even need to raise my voice to make them afraid of me. Some people in my family have criticized me for the way I’m raising them. I told them I’m sure my kids will grow up (no pun intended) as better people than most of their peers, we’ll see who gets the last laugh.

Why should I use Green Energy Sources?
In ataşehir çekici , every home owner can benefit from being frugal, and using green energy is a great way to accomplish this. Keep reading for a few great ideas on how you can convert the standard technology in your home to greener energy, enjoy greater savings in your out-of-pocket costs, and reduce your impact on the environment. Before you start incorporating green energy sources into your home, you should cut back on the amount of electricity you use. Make sure you're not wasting power by leaving things turned on when you're not using them. This way, when you make the switch over to alternative energy sources, you'll be more efficient with your energy usage. Make sure that all heating and cooling units and registers are not blocked by furniture, window treatments, or kid's toys. If a piece of furniture must be placed in front of a baseboard heater, leave a space of two feet. This may seem like a waste of space, but this allows you to avoid wasting energy. Find out more about active and passive forms of solar power. Passive solar systems are less expensive but cannot store energy like active solar systems do.
