its okay to be upset you can't eat foods you want. its okay to be pissed as hell that every time it seems okay, you get a flare up. its okay to be fucking angry that something you love to eat causes you pain

be angry abt it! be mad that some stupid starch hurts you! be upset at all of those doctors who brush you off! be pissed about people in your life not taking it seriously!

food is an incredibly important part of everyone's lives and its frustrating and infuriating to have any sort of struggles with it. cry over it, talk about it, be loud. it is hellish to have any gastrointestinal disability and, diagnosis or not, you deserve to be able to find comfort in food

so to all of my fellow stomach sufferers, I hope you have a nice evening / morning / night and I wish you good meals and snacks in the days to come. I hope your body goes easy on you and your flare ups lessen, I hope the foods you are able to eat bring you comfort and enjoyment. and I hope when things do get bad, you can find solace with others who understand what you're going through <3

#I cannot count how many times I've cried over food #especially when its social #I think my earliest memory of crying about food was when I was ~12 and had just discovered i was lactose intolerant #and my mom got me an ice cream cake for my birthday #it felt like a cruel joke. and she didn't even understand why j was so upset until I explained it to her #I had to take lunches to school and prepare meals because nothing at school was safe to eat #and on days I didn't have the spoons for it I simply Wouldnt eat #it was so frustrating because one issue became two became four became more than I can count #and food has lost a lot of the comfort and enjoyment it once had because of all the pain #but know that even with setbacks it can get better #narrowing down one bad food after the other is so so fucking worth it just to make food not a chore anymore #there will always be bad days and there will always be new things that crop up as unsafe #but know that even if an old favorite food becomes dangerous that new favorites are out there #I used to love ham on everything but now I can't eat it without awful pain and allergic reaction #but even without that old comfort food I've found new ones like turkey sausage and pasta #just. dude feel free to cry about food #its not dumb jts not overreacting #food is important and its completely fucking worth sobbing over #to everyone with gut issues I wish you good luck o7 know that there is food out there that you'll love and won't hurt you #food tw

Going back to work tomorrow... Not looking forward to it...

#i was gone for two months to work at summer camp #at camp i worked from 7:40am-9pm for the most part #but i woke up at 7:25. stayed in my area sometimes to help people with art. there could be meetings after 9 #i still had to shower and socialize #but i worked for like. 13-14 hours a day usually. and it wasnt easy work! teaching young scouts. dealing with asshole adults #paperwork. driving all over because my boss hadnt picked up the materials i need so i have to steal them from somewhere else in camp #got so upset with a scoutmaster i nearly decked him. had to bring one of my staff to the office so the health lodge could pick him up #BECAUSE a camper had come to get me in my area saying 'theres a guy at the bottom of the hill that says he needs... oxy something' #it was my assistant director who couldnt breathe. that was the scariest part of camp this year honestly #hard labor. lots of emotions. anxiety. lack of sleep. fourteen hour days. #its still my favorite part of the year. and i vastly prefer it over: #getting screamed at over cold fries. homophobic/transphobic/racist coworkers. having to smile and nod to whateve someone in a maga hat says #youd think it would be easier right. take orders. fry shit. assemble sandwiches. go home after eight hours #most nights i go home thinking 'i hate my job.' most nights at camp i go to bed thinking 'i cant wait to do this again tomorrow' #im also worried jt might be difficult to jump back in? just remembering basic shit might be wack at first #im good at this job but also it takes awhile to be good at. and itll be one of our busiest days #idk. but hey. ill be done after eight hours. five days a week instead of seven. #i wish i was at camp... #i miss my friends. i am very lonely. at camp i woke up next to a friend. now i wake up alone and drive to work #pray for death the entire day. go home. be alone again. god im tired #on the bright side i think ill be able to sleep tonight! ive been exhausted but hsvent been able to sleep lately. so i walked 11000 steps #all in one go so that i could hopefully tire myself out. i think ive succeeded. wish me luck #the only thing that could make my shift worse is by being exhausted #oh its gonna be weird to not have a leadership position anymore..at camp i could kick people out of my area. i didnt have to take any shit #now i have to smile and nod and take it. fuck. im gonna miss being an area director. i have a lot less responsibility but a lot less power

Sirius had done your usual Sunday dance, washing the sheets, folding laundry, meal prepping breakfast and hoovering the living room and kitchen while you’d organized the cupboards, your books and everything else.

Now he’s got lavender oils in the diffuser and the bedroom lights are all off- save for your flower lamp on the bedside.

He’d even talked you into taking a soak in the bath to calm down.

It all helped till it didn’t and now you’re unable to sleep or settle down.

“Wanna watch the fruit thingy?” He asks, heart beating steadily beneath your ear. “The one that calms you down?”

“Can you do the moon one this time? And can you brew another chamomile tea?”

Your voice is scratchy from the tears and your red rimmed eyes and pouty lips has Sirius giving in with not a single tease of you requesting an ‘old lady’s brew.’

“Course poppet, sit pretty f’me in the mean time yeah?” He fiddles with the tv a bit before settling on the right video and then pops off to the kitchen.

When Sirius comes back you’re swaying in your spot on the bed, shoulders much more relaxed as you watch the stars and the moon move along the screen.

“Here, sweet girl,” he kisses the crown of your head as he passes over the tea cup. It’s not ten sips before you’re yawning and a lot more calm than you had been earlier. “S’all gonna be okay, m’love. Don’t worry.”

❤️ Luckily though, Johnny isn't as fussy about them being as perfect like he would be if Tomas wasn't regressed, he gets that they're just having fun

💨 It also made Tomas absolutely blubber and apologize a million times because he didn't mean to!! He was just trying to mess around, he didn't wanna hurt Dada on purpose 🥺

⭐️ Luckily no true hard was done but Tomas was no longer allowed to naw on Kenshi's arm (he pouted but understood that he could hurt Dada again and didn't protest much)

❤️ Luckily though, Johnny got Tomas his first baby chewing toy and Tomas absolutely loved it

💨 Hates to admit it, but gets to distract when things jingle above him

⭐️ He could be pouting about being unable to have a sweet or because he did something naughty and got in a bit of trouble, and Kenshi will jingle his keys and suddenly Tomas thinks has a new toy to play with

You had joined Lexi and Dru back out in the stands, then giving you concerned looks as you had rushed out of there quite quickly.

“He okay?” Dru asked as she held Lexi’s newborn.

It was into the bottom of the second inning and Alec had been announced to be the next hitter at the plate.

The fans roared in cheers and applause as they stood up for their young third baseman, him taking in the love and acceptance that they were offering.

He knew he had fucked up, but he also knew that these Philly fans were accepting him because he had owned up to it all.

He did a full circle as he took it all in, a grin on his face as he walked up to the batters box.

Could I get your thoughts on Teen Titans #78 and 79? Also how would you have concluded Rose's character arc regarding her family?

i LOOOOOOOOVE that story <3 its such a great representation of roses relationship with slade w the way she comes there to kill him then later on goes "nvm i love him and dont want him to die. this sucks."

not to mention!!!! it shows the difference between rose & joey's relationships with slade sooooooo well bc joey was raised by slade and thinks theres good in him! but rose wasnt raised by him and doesnt believe in any good in him (but loves him anyway)!!!!! GOD.

i love it its a fantastic wilson family story and gets all their dynamics down rly well <3 i love rose & joey in that story i love it when they get to hang out (disregard the zombies theyre just hanging out) 💕💕💕

as for how i would have concluded the arc. i have thoughts.

first of all it haunts me every single day of my life that the new 52 came and stopped anything from happening with this. her mom was ALIVE and she was being talked about!!!!!! then n52 came and erased her from existence and i will never not be upset about it (also the last panel lili has ever appeared in they made her BLONDE.) i wish i could contact jt krul and ask him what the plan was i need to know so badly

but honestly. if it were me writing it i would not have brought lili back. i think the story would be so much more intriguing if rose was basically on a wild goose chase since the only evidence she had wasnt very strong but it gave her HOPE so she clung onto it for as long as she could

plus i feel like rose would have a lot of guilt surrounding her mothers death (since she died protecting her) even though she doesnt outwardly show any guilt and just blames slade for all of it, so shes doing everything she can to a) prove to herself that she didnt actually kill her mother and b) make up for the fact that it was her fault (in her mind) and get forgiveness for it. but she doesnt get any closure or forgiveness so she has to learn to accept that she did have a role in her mom's death but it doesnt make it her fault

anyways after obsessing over finding her mom just to realize that she actually was dead the whole time rose would have a catastrophic breakdown and probably take it out on slade, who would probably make it worse on purpose

i havent thought about it in depth so i dont know exactly how it would happen but i would say that eventually she realizes that the titans were there for her while she was looking for her mom and while she was in the middle of her breakdown, then be like "the titans are my family and its great <3 fuck my stupid dad"

then she has insane lesbian sex with cassie and then everyone lives happily ever after until another writer comes along and decides to retread the same drama and ignore character development because thats what they love to do in tt03

Don't understand pekple being confused about Natsuhiko

I understand if someone's upset about him killing Mitsuba but! It isn't out of character! I wrote q rant earlier I'll share here:

"Natsuhiko hasn't done anything bad before!!"...So? He's an antagonist for goodness sake! I may not have a good grasp on Character analyzation but this isn't really anything shocking tbh. We never have seen a deep dive into his character, we don't understand him, we haven't seen his backstory, but based on the little information we DO have, although motives unclear, hid actions aren't shocking.

Let's start with what we do know. We know is often conveyed as a comedic antagonist who works with the other two more serious antagonists, Sakura and Tsukasa. (We will get to his acquaintance with Mitsuba later.) Natsuhiko is deeply inlove with Sakura and is willing to and WILL do anything for her. He also works with Tsukasa, and as does Sakura. We have seen in previous chapters that Sakura is dedicated to Tsukasa and is his apprentice. I don't know where Natsuhiko stands with Tsukasa, but seeing as he follows Sakura (who I mentioned before works for Tsukasa) he's okay with following his orders seeing as his lady does as well. Another thing to acknowledge is what Sakura wants out of this whole thing. We don't know much about the trio, but we know Tsukasa is always trying to help others, Natsuhiko is cursed, and that Sakura is apparently unable to be a human or make human friends (? This is a question as I can't fully remember her motives but I'll get back to her on another occasion.) She helps Tsukasa to attain her goal. In chapter 104, it depicts Natsuhiko saying "And it makes me look like some kind of bad guy."

Natsuhiko doesn't seem to want to be considered an antagonist, as if he thinks he's doing this for a noble cause (helping sakura). Another thing is AS I SAID BEFORE, HES AN ANTAGONIST! OF COURSE HES GOING TO HURT PEOPLE IF THEY GET IN HIS WAY! He loves Sakura! Besides he never fully considered Mitsuba a friend, perhaps an acquaintance, but never someone that's further than "someone he can hang around with in good fun."

He's never shown to do bad things becaude IT WAS NEVER REQUIRED! No one was getting in his way prior to this! And when he realized mitsuba dying could help Tsukasa and ultimately Sakura, of course he's going to betray someone he doesn't care for. Also need I remind you that everyone in the trio are complex characters, you can't expect you understand them, especially with a character like Natsuhiko who's characterization hasn't been shown as much as the others!

SUPER LONG ITAPAN RAMBLE INCOMING!!!!

OKAY. OKAY. its been a while since ive rambled on this account so today im going to clear up how i see itapan so that no one gets confused when i say “i dont think they would ever date” and then proceed to draw them making out or whatever.

when you hear “one sided itapan” you might think italy has the stronger feelings (because he’s the one approaching and hugging and kissing japan or whatever) but i feel that it’s actually japan with the stronger feelings.

when italy’s affectionate towards japan, its not because he’s necessarily attracted to him, but that’s just how he behaves. i think that he’s kind of trying to lead him on so japan is nicer to him. italy has been coddled his entire life like he’s been taken care of by austria and hungary and spain and france and germany and literally everyone loves him. and he KNOWS that everyone loves him so he purposefully babies himself to others so he can get even more special treatment. hes an annoying little asshole who uses his good looks and weakness to get out of trouble and i love it!!!

throughout the series (both in anime, manga, and a little in hetamyu), japan actually grows a bit of a soft spot for italy because of how weak and pathetic he makes himself seem. at first he’s polite and awkward because he idolized italy to be strong and capable, but once his expectations are SHATTERED he gradually begins to want to take care of him in a way. he doesn’t get mad at him as often and sometimes even defends him when germany is upset or lecturing him (like in hetalia fantasia). he tucks him in bed and lets him sleep on his chest and share a bed and bathe together and do the gayest shit ever. i probably would’ve thought “well thats because he’s too polite to refuse” but he ACTIVELY wants to do this stuff with him. he puts a hand on his back to keep him in place when he rests on his chest. he visits italy often and loves to cook with/for him. he wants to learn how to hug and kiss him back even after italy says its fine. he writes him letters and a SONG where he asks italy to visit him and gives him a pressed flower bookmark. japan goes out of his way to return italy’s affection and spend time with him while italy just does it because he’s italy.

i dont really think it’s a “sad” one-sided crush because in the end they’re still friends! they still both care about each other and confide in one another and hang out. italy isnt just affectionate to japan because he wants to lead him on and get more special treatment, but because they’re friends and he does still like him platonically! they can act like a couple without actually BEING one and thats insane!!! i love that shit!!!!!

ive mentioned how itager/gerita was my first hetalia ship and it still stands as one of my favorites. the problem is that im PICKY with it because i dont like a lot of the fandoms’ interpretations of them. i guess i wasnt as picky with itapan and liked it simultaneously with (although much more than) itager. but when i rewatched all of hetalia over the spring i realized how much MORE i liked itapan in the context of itager, which kind of blew my mind. like i remember mentioning to some itapan friends how i think they would never date and i still stand with that today. like italy and germany are too busy trying to win eachother over and they would just get together instead. japan actually likes his friends though and wants them to be happy so he would just go “ok” and move on while still doing all that gay shit with them. i guess jt makes itapan more of a brotp but it doesnt make it any less enjoyable for me. i LIKE to see them hanging out and being friends and dont really mind fanart where they’re dating or whatever because i can just pretend that they’re not!

What common Degrassi takes do you most disagree with, ie Zig being cocky and smooth, etc!

1.) Obviously, that one LOL. If someone legitimately tries to argue that Zig "I'm terrible at pretty much everything" "But is it good enough for you?" Novak is confident.. they're objectively wrong. They're getting stuck on him looking the part of the confident, bad boy and ignoring half of what comes out of his mouth.

2.) Darcy isn't irredeemable or a bad person because she falsely accused Snake of being inappropriate with her. She was a scared, traumatized child who panicked because she was thrown into a situation where she would be forced to talk about her rape before she was ready. Snake handled all of that completely wrong, even though he meant well. It didn't come from a heartless, malicious place. She immediately tried to take it all back and openly supported his return to the school. His career wasn't ruined. He eventually became the principal. I genuinely don't understand where people's compassion is when it comes to this story line. Darcy wasn't the ideal victim. She was never supposed to be.

3.) None of the canonically lesbian characters should have been bisexual. Based on what we saw from each one introduced to us with the assumption that they were straight (Alex, Fiona, Zoe), their eventual coming out journeys made sense. Could they have been written with more care with an actual explanation as to how they came to identify this way? Absolutely. But I feel like the Degrassi fandom constantly invalidates their sexualities, especially with Zoe, because they're upset they no longer get to justify shipping them with men.

4.) Don't kill me, but Eli calling Clare a whore wasn't out of character. It was cruel and he had zero excuse, but based on the number of times Eli lashed out at Clare and other people, it makes total sense that he'd say the worst possible thing he could think to say under the mistaken impression that he'd been wronged. He was hurt and angry, and he wanted her to feel bad. He behaved in a similar way after their first breakup.

5.) Jimmy wasn't the perfect boyfriend. In fact, Jimmy never gets enough shit for being so passive aggressive in relationships, particularly when he's ready to end it and emotionally invested in another girl. But because he's cowardly, something we saw pretty consistently over the years, he waits for his girlfriends to notice so that he doesn't have to be the bad guy and can play innocent. Overall, there are little things about Jimmy that bug me, such as calling Ashley a slut. And on that note, this fandom is way too comfortable openly enjoying slut shaming when they feel like the character is unlikable or irritating enough to "deserve it" (Clare and Ashley).

6.) Obligatory reminder that Zig didn't murder Cam due to his depression leading to his suicide and multiple things over the course of a couple of days playing a role in the headspace Cam was in when he ended his life

7.) Liberty was completely fucked over during her pregnancy arc. Excuse me. JT's pregnancy arc. It was blatantly racist how the show chose to be revolutionary by focusing on the black pregnant girl's white boyfriend for the entirety of her pregnancy. Liberty was the villain in her own story line because the writers really wanted us to understand how much pressure JT was under due to expecting a child, worrying about finances, his life changing drastically, etc. Things must have been rough for Liberty as well, but meh. She's just a bitter, controlling, bitch who never deserved JT. Seriously, I see that take a lot. In my opinion, they both could have handled things better, but neither was getting the help or support they needed. Liberty seemed to be in denial and couldn't cope with the fact she'd allowed herself to become pregnant due to carelessness when she's supposed to be so responsible. A lot must have been going on with her, both mentally and emotionally, but we never hear about it or see any of it.

8.) Clare and Drew were actually a good (no, great) ship. Many fans just weren't prepared or happy to see either with someone else due to the popularity of the Eli/Clare and Drew/Bianca relationships. It also wasn't random, out of character, or even all that forced based on how their characters had grown through the years. It's funny to see Clare described as being not Drew's type when he's pretty consistently into smart, ambitious women who can put him in his place. And in the case of Clare, her preferences are all over the place with Drew not being all that different physically or personality wise from KC or Jake. Their emotional connection grew and deepened for almost the entirety of season 13, including the summer between school years and for the majority of their senior year. Even though their decision to sleep together was impulsive and surprising, in reality they'd been circling each other for months. It was bound to happen, and then it did.

9.) Another thing I disagree with is that Maya should have talked about Cam more or told ___ about his suicide. It was very obvious to me that Maya was extremely triggered by Cam's death and struggled to move past it. It makes perfect sense that she'd struggle to even talk about it. It was extremely painful and personal to Maya. Miles was never going to be the one she opened up to. He just wasn't. This isn't even necessarily a pro Zaya thing. But the fact Zig was around for Cam's death and understood most of Maya's pain meant that Maya opening up to Zig about the way she was feeling and acknowledging her ex's existence was far more likely than Maya opening up to Miles, someone she struggled to open up to emotionally or relate to beyond what he was willing to share. At a certain point, it starts to feel like Maya bringing up Cam for the sake of bringing up Cam. Not because it's actually helping Maya or moving her story forward in any way.

10.) Tristan's biphobia towards Miles didn't happen in a vacuum. While Tristan's character was extremely flawed and he wasn't always the most likable person, it honestly came across to me that his biphobia got so out of control because it took the writers a long time to catch on to the fact that Tristan invalidating his boyfriend's sexual orientation was inappropriate, dehumanizing, and shouldn't have been written off as catty comments not meant to be taken seriously. Degrassi overall didn't handle polysexual identities very well. Paige's attraction to women was downplayed aside from her relationship with Alex. Imogen was also never labeled, eventually being referred to multiple times during her final season as a lesbian.

11.) Lola got the right endgame, and she definitely shouldn't have kept Miles's baby.

THE BEST I CAN GIVE IS UHHHH a little bit of background on some things that have been cooking because im bored.

The basis of elkas character being a control freak who is so obsessed w upholding the status quo of her mind and staying normal and being ‘happy’ in her future despite everything she sees being a doomed ending. the vision of a married life with nils lutefisk, who never really seemed to care about her and who she doesnt even know she actually loves or not. because it doesnt feel like how it SHOULD feel and she wished he was something different but she doesnt know what

she doesnt allow herself to think maybe shes Never been happy with a man. that maybe she only feels the need to be because thats all shes ever known or seen herself having

also the added very important headcanon that elka gets so obsessed over this future that she forces herself to have visions of it constantly, over working her future sight to the point that by the time the canon game happens her vision has clouded over and shes completely blind and has to use clairvoyance to ‘see’. (based on her early concept model with white eyes. anyway)

her first year of summer camp kicks off her relationship with nils but also an unexpected friendship with Kitty, and they end up getting very close, and though its confusing its the best elkas ever felt- up until she’s graced with a vision of her and kitty getting into a terrible fight, and rather than putting herself through that she just pretends they were never friends in the first place. (because shes normal)

kitty is understandably confused and upset about this and doesnt know why elka is suddenly giving her the cold shoulder. they both leave camp completely fucked up over their toxic female friendship drama and the next year kitty is ‘seemingly’ over it, already rebounding to a New girl she met on the bus, franke.

of course, franke is a lot different than elka. kitty finds her a lot easier to get along with, more relaxed, they kind of compliment each other in a way. the budding friendship to serious crush to summercamp love story pipeline.

BUT.. franke cant really help but noticing how tense kitty and elka are around each other.

its a lot to get into but my friends and i kind of spitballed franke having like. psychic hyper empathy based powers. shes more of a feelings guy. she kinda goes with whatever kitty wants but she can be good when shes not around. theres like a whole thing i made up for it BUT anyway

she doesnt know whats wrong with them just that the vibes are fucking rancid and she wants to help kitty out by getting to the bottom of it. and so she starts talking to elka when she can , and elka pities her a bit because she sees franke as this completely gullible goofball under kittys spell, cursed to follow her around like a lost puppy. especially because kitty has only grown hostile to elka since theyve been back at camp, elka kind of knows kitty is/was using franke to make her jealous. much like , well, she was using JT to get to nils. so franke is kind of like a tennis ball getting kicked between the two of them.

because a lot of this stuff is roleplayed out there was a bit going about franke being illiterate (because shes dumb) that franke plays into in a self deprecating humor kind of way, but elka takes it completely seriously and takes soooooo much pity on her she decides to help franke learn to read by showing her her favorite book pride and prejudice. has franke hold the book while elka uses her eyes to read it for her. this made a lot of sense in the moment dont worry

franke goes along with this even tho she can. absolutely read. because, like, maybe if they talk enough she can squash her and kittys beef. this ... goes okay, but franke ends up really enjoying this little book reading thing they do together. she is unfortunately a little baby butch lesbian and elka is pretty and nicer than she initially thought, when she isnt talking about stupid boys, and gets Really into the romance aspects of the book that Elka herself enjoys. and elka ends up enjoying it too, because without kitty around, franke is just such a good listener, and a little charming, and does whatever she asks, and gosh, if she was a boy she’d be everything elka wanted, wouldnt she? oh well!

and even though she looks, she cant find an end in sight for their future. maybe this friendship could be different from kitty, maybe she doesnt have to be afraid of how close they are. so she lets it happen, because it distracts her from the grief of boys who refuse to understand her. every time her and nils break up, franke is there to say Well, he never deserved you anyhow! and she feels better for just a little while.

this isnt even getting INTO the feelings that evolve over the future and the self destruction elka puts herself thru to secure her marriage but ive rambled enuff. maybe you all will feel what i feel if only for a moment
