Magnificent Seven (1960) warning heavy spoilers ahead

Okay, compadres you ready? I’m leaving a few things out cause some of it just doesn’t make sense but for the most part, I didn’t leave anything out so that means there is a lot of cursing so be prepared for that

I actually love how everyone is wearing white (like yeah I know white doesn’t absorb sun well so that’s why) it just makes everything really picturesque and almost heavenly you know

All these guys have fantastic ideas about how to take care of the problem and the head honcho is like ‘really tricking the man who just shot one of our own is not going to work don’t be stupid’

thoughts on fandom (aka let’s see how many angry parx stans i can get to come yell at me again). disclaimer that this is just my opinion and no awsten knights were harmed in the making of this post:

1. Cherry Red-i really like this. v. good. wish it would’ve been longer. but maybe it’s short as a nod to the fact that awsten only had red hair for like a week

2. wwhn-amazing. show stopping. i love this song so much i don’t even care that aws is being overdramatic and ridiculous. 10/10.

3. dream boy- i enjoy this song fine but i don’t adore it. strikes me as a less good sequel to stupid for you.

4. easy to hate- real drums! real guitar! automatically gets points! but other than that i’m honestly kind of ambivalent on it.

5. high definition- sad. gets me in my feelings. i’m into it. my only beef is the lack of geoff and otto which wouldn’t be a beef if it wasn’t a recurring problem on this album.

6. telephone- fun. reminds me of take her to the moon but like updated and more in line with awsten’s new style. this is a great blend of old parx and new parx. if there was more of this on the album i would have no complaint about the new sound.

7. group chat- wat. well i did want more geoff and otto so.

8. turbulent- i know a lot of people don’t like turbulent but i really do. probably my third fave after wwhn and imhsbalidwda (maybe tied with telephone). it helps that it came out when i was going through a thing in my life that made me relate to it a lot. also i’m hype to hear it live cause it’s even better live.

9. never bloom again- different sound from high definition but the same vibe. i like high definition better though. see? liz can like new things. cause this sounds like lucky people and high def sounds like nothing they’ve ever done before and i like high def better. take that haters.

10. imhsbalidwda- so this is what the snippet at slam dunk was. i’m so mad cause i actually really like this song but the title makes me wanna cringe my skin off. there’s a deeper meta analysis there but that’s for another post or not one at all.

11. war crimes- did he write group chat when he realized he forgot to mention geoff and otto in this song and he wanted to make it clear that they were also his friends? aside from that it’s fine. my general thoughts pretty much apply to this.

12. [reboot]-see war crimes except not the friends comment

13. worst- i was so hopeful that he would get geoff and otto on this track and clean it up before it was put on the album. instead he just cleaned it up. which i guess is better than nothing

14. zone out- oh good. it’s dream boy asmr. sarcasm aside i actually like this sweet lil lullaby version possibly better than the original.

15. ifywwm- also a good mix of old sound and new sound. good shit. i like the title.

general thoughts: i guess i understand how we got 15 tracks this time when so many of them so short/repeats. not a complaint, it’s still more content than a 10 track album, but i do wish some of them had been longer (cough cherry red cough). needs more geoff and otto, the number of songs with real drums and guitars are outnumbered by the ones that are just awsten on his own. and on that note the fact that awsten said geoff and otto have parts on the new album in a tweet in response to someone asking if they sang on it and he clearly just meant group chat is just...more of the same bs to be honest. also that whole “i deleted a whole album so that i didn’t make an album that was just about my ex” is officially confirmed as a whole ass lie more than half these songs are clearly about ciara. i wish glitter times and lemonade had survived somehow. the lyrics aren’t at awsten’s usual quality imo. is there a pixar song title on here that i missed somehow or are we just not doing that anymore? since it came out on national coming out day should have been more gay.

tl;dr: i stand by what i’ve been saying. i like the new sound but not as much as the old sound. i wish geoff and otto played on it more. awsten is a lying liar who lies. i still love all of them, even awsten. hype to see this live cause parx is one of the few bands who is way better live than recorded imo.

KCON

Hello friends so I went to KCON this past weekend……… Here’s my story.

HELL ON EARTH i made a cute kcon vlog and made vanessa sit down with me for a kcon chat about the first day but its too long and do i have time to reedit that? No. so here’s my kcon experience my bros.

KCON DAY 1

Wowie so we had like p5 tickets so we kinda just walked around the convention. We sat in on Joan and Edward’s panel for a while and then we stayed for GoToe and Sunny’s panel and GOTOE IS SO CUTEEE I honestly only used my camera to record him he was…. Adorable. But the panel was so quiet and awkward bc of the language barrier and Sunny wasn’t even talking she was just quietly doing his makeup. And there were only… like 30 people there? It was interesting. Then we bought a few albums (Vanessa bought 2 svt albums and a poster and I got Eclipse and we got AL1 for a friend). We went to this photobooth where you could take a picture with a drama background and they had this wall to vote for your fave dramas and leads and INNOCENT DEFENDANT DESERVED BETTER IT HAD HARDLY ANY VOTES. Anyways we were in line for the picture and we chose the Strong Woman background. As we were walking towards the green screen for our turn we were cut by a bunch of Korean businessmen and they turned around and apologized “I’m so sorry. He’s the president of __” and we honestly didn’t hear what company we kinda blacked out from the shock of these men talking to us. Anyways we were at the green screen to take out picture and I motioned to the photographer like “I am going to pick her up like a baby” and his eyes got so big he was like “Y O U?”. now let me tell you, Vanessa is 5’8 and I am 4’8….. He was like “There’s not much time…. How long can you hold?” anyways we took the worst/best picture ever and he was not amused at all lmao he looked so done with us. So we sat down at food street to wait to be picked up and I opened my EXID album to look at it. Two girls were sitting at our table and were like “Did I hear EXID?” so we started talking about the gorls then they asked if we were here to see VIXX (I was wearing a VIXX shirt) and we were like “No, seventeen” and one had an epiphany and said “WAIT i have a seventeen audience pass” AND WE WERE BOUTTA CRY she only had one tho bUT she also had a red carpet pass so I Took svt and vanessa took redcarpet for $20 each (People had been selling them for $200….) AND WE WERE SHAKING SO MUCH it felt so unreal we were both going to SEE SVT and honestly Eclipse it… the bible… a sacred album tbh, blessed. Then we got some FOOD and ended up sitting with these 3 ladies and they liked my pants and BECAUSE THE LIKED MY PANTS they offered us a bunch of free passes!! They had like 2 oh my girl, 4 Astro, 2 SF9, 1 Kard audience passes and this was literally like 20 minutes later we were SHOOK. We took Oh My Girl and gave them to Mely and Vanessa :^) But honestly we went in expecting NOTHING and the day was so crazy Its been a few days and I still can’t believe how kind people are and how lucky we were it all feels like a dream.

KCON DAY 2

I MET KAYLA WHAT A SWEETIE HI KAYLA IF U SEE THIS UR CUTE AND YOUR DRESS WAS CUTE!! ALSO I MET MELY LIKE UUUHHHHHHHHH ITS BEEN 5 YEARS AND VANESSA DIDNT FIGHT ME THANK GOD. SO we didn’t have many workshops we were planning to attend so my Vanessa and I watched Mely and her Vanessa learn how to dance DWC and Mely was talking up how she wanted to do all these dance workshops AND SHE DIDNT EVEN TRY Mely u looked like a limp noodle. Vanessa was better than u. Then Vanessa and I got some food with Kayla and Sophia (HI SOPHIA NICE MEETING U) and we noticed that it was about 12:30 and the line for SVT’s artist engagement was already forming so we waited a bit and ate as we watched that damn line grow. We eventually got in line and waited for an hour in the sun and it was abuse KCON im suing u. But Vanessa waited TWO HOURS in her line for saturday’s red carpet but she’s got more melanin than me. AND we talked to some really nice people in line IDK who ya’ll are but I lvoe you!! Anyways. We were like? In the 3rd row in the audience and there were a few people letting me get in front of them because I’m TINY and one really nice girl who was just a bit taller than me was trying her best to help me get by tall people and she was so sweet I wish I could have thanked her a million more times ;-; So there were like 3 people from a fansite to my left that wouldn’t let me by (of course) and then THESE TWO LADIES who when we asked they just looked down on me and shook their heads AND THEY WERE SO EXTREMELY TALL I WAS EFFENDED. I didn’t tell anybody this but they were playing DWC mv and i actually almost cried bc after all that anticipation I thought I wasn’t even going to be able to see them and I was so hurt. BUT After a few minutes I decided it wasn’t worth being so hot to not even be able to see SVT so I went to the back and watched from the projectors and WOWIE were they beautiful. Everybody was screaming so much /literally/ the only thing I heard was Joshua say “number two!”. But Scoops was so bubbly and had such prominent dimples, Vernon was a sweetie pie, Blond Jun looks better irl, Mingyu: an angel, Jeonghan????? BEAUTIFUL and dainty he really did look like an angel, Joshua is fkn pretty boy nerd he was just happy to be in LA. DK was his sunshine self and Mingyu…… is so cute?? I wish I coulf give much more descriptions on all the boys but I didn’t have a very good view :^( But let me tell you…. Lee Jihoon…………….. The most beautiful man I’ve ever laid eyes on like he honestly made it all worth it he’s absolutely drop dead gorgeous and I felt bliss amongst the chaos he’s truly a walking miracle on this earth. And omg he’s so tiny.

While we waited for Vanessa to finish the red carpet we got some bomb ice cream i loved that man. And OH BOY WAS VANESSA ZAZZED WHEN SHE RETURNED.

And now here are Vanessa’s thoughts about the red carpet: Ok so the red carpet was really GOOD but I was talking to the girls I met while waiting in line we all kind of agreed its kind of not worth it if you’re in the way bc fansites (I think I saw Jihoon’s fansite mintbreeze there). Also it was really cute seeing all the different fans there. I had a VIXX stan standing in front of me and she was just adorable. SF9 were really cute and one of them said “ITS LIT” before they left and I was like wow same. Donghae and I made eye contact for like 1 second and it was so awkward I had to look away. Cosmic girls were ADORABLE and Xuan Yi kept smiling and waving at fans which made all the fangirls scream and that made Xuan Yi smile even more. When VIXX greeted they greeted and all of them bowed except for Leo who had his hands together as if he was praying and I was like wow that is the most Leo thing i’ve ever seen. Girl’s day…. When I saw Minah’s outfit the girl I met while in line offered her hand for emotional support and i took it so fast bc oooooooh man I lost it. Minah kept posing so….. Suggestively like she knew what she was doing. Also I was super gay for Yura. When SVT came out ho boy I almost fell to the floor bc Jun was first and he was fcknin handsome and really tall????? Vernon is a work of art and Seungkwan is an actual baby. Mingyu was gorgeous I legit couldnt take my eyes off him man. I witnessed Wonwoo be a meme. He just looked at Minghao and had his hand on his shoulder, nodded a few times and looked away and Minghao just laughed to himself. Woozi saw some girls next to me who kept going crazy for him and I could tell he tried so hard not to laugh out loud and looked kind of embarrassed or shy about all the fangirling they were doing for a few seconds it was so cute. But tbh out of everyone except for Mingyu and Jun, Woozi kind of stood out to me the most. He was just so?????? Unique looking??? Idk how to explain it but he was beautiful. Chan was almost the last one to leave the stage bc he kept waving at the fans and doing the finger heart thing and he just looked so happy :’)))) Like Jun had to push his arm a little to make him go forward since Chan was the second to last. Also I had my banner up while they were about to leave and I saw Woozi look up a bit when I did and did a half-smile laugh mainly bc of the way I was holding it and doing a :| face ya know what I mean. So he basically laughed at me and it was an honor.

So the concerto. He was a good man. The venue wasn’t as huge as I thought it was going to be so our seats actually felt really close! Preshow: Of course Jun Curryahn was a good man when isn’t he. Then Korean Effects did some BEATBOXING and he was SO GOOD I felt the bass of that man’s voice in my chest. A girl that I do not know the name of came and sang blood sweat and tears to his beatboxing and that was the first time that night that Vanessa turned to me and screamed “IM SO GAY”. The show: Leo and Minah sang a song from Lalaland and it was beautiful. THEN JOSH VERN AND MINGYU came out as the MC’s and I was SHOOK I didn’t expect those boys. I don’t know SF9 but they were good I was amazed they got the stunts! Cosmic Girls were OF COURSE adorable and amazing. Then the screen was showing 17’s intro and we were like “OH SHIT BOY” but THEN it said “special unit performances” and we SCREAMED We didn’t think they would perform unit songs!! It was sad seeing Swimming Fool without Hosh but they did very well those boys. Habit OF COURSE WAS AMAZING I CRY THINKING ABOUT HOW I ACTUALLY HEARD THOSE ANGELS. And OHHHHHHHH BOYYYYYYYYY the day came. As soon as the first notes of Check in played Vanessa and I held on to each other and started screamiING. Check in is oUR JAM OOOOOOHH YEAHH. Then Girls Day performed and they were T H E hottest group there honestly these girls were RUDE. During their stage vanessa informed me 3 more times how gay she is. She was so angry at Minah for doing that^™. Then Cosmic Girls performed I Need U (boy) and SF9 & Cosmic girls performed Sorry Sorry AND GUESS WHO WAS NEXT THE KINGS EUNHAE. Now let me tell you a story. Super Junior was the first group I ever learned and I became friends with Vanessa and Mely because of them. Oppa Oppa? Vanessa and I have been dancing to that for 5 years and u bet we went HARD when they performed that. I’m still so angry that Eunhyuk made us say “LA oppa”. AND THEY PERFORMED I WANNA DANCE I WANTED THEM TO PERFORM IT BUT I DIDNT THINK THEY WOULD SINCE IT WAS A JAPANESE TRACK!! But the whole time they performed I was screaming about how much I hated their hair. Then Vixx performed and I could tell that a lot of fans were there for them (as well as Eunhae) they got the loudest screams. HYUKS ENGLISH WAS SO CUTE I HAD TO HOLD VANESSAS HAND MY BABY BOY. Im really lowkey glad they didn’t perform chained up tho I was blessed that night. And then………...it was SVT’s stage. I had no idea they were the headliners and OH BOY did those boys rock it. There was one VERY RUDE FOCUS ON JIHOON DURING DWC AND I CRIED INTO VANESSAS SHOULDER. I never didn’t think I was going to scream during this concert… but wow did I surprise myself. Even Vanessa was like “WOah”. But SVT performed a super sick remix of Rock and AND they had a little random play dance time which tbh they didn’t even try that hard but then they shot some tshirt cannons and I saw Jihoon rush over for one and honestly I was terrified for my life. He exudes such a different aura on stage that Jihoon really is “El Woozi”. AND HE STANDS WITH ONE HAND ON HIS HIP BOY WHAT IS THAT SASS FOR. During their ment Boo was being his lil Diva self he was so funny and Dino……. A man? He was so handsome I can’t believe. And Minghao got so many screams I was so proud and happy he deserves them all!! Really all the boys Looked amazing and performed so well I could go on for hours. I heard Seungkwan do the Boo airhorn sound effect and i shed a single tear. Dino was so stunningly handsome like??? He really actually does look older than Mingyu he does not look like the youngest at all what are they feeding him. At one point Vernon was like “Wow Josh, I can tell why you hype up your hometown so much” And JOSH gave him THIS LOOK it was so funny he looked offended, disgusted, and sassy I don’t even know who that man is. Good news: I personally caught no signs of butt touching but I /could/ have missed something. But really the whole concert was absolutely amazing, even if you don’t know all the groups the stages are all so great and I think it was just an excellent concert overall. And the next day we dropped off Mely and Vanessa at 11 for their Oh My Girl audience.. That started at 11. Im sorry Chicas but I’m glad u made it in time. ANYWAYS this has been my kcon experience I had a very good time and TBH I would probably consider going again if Seventeen never fkn comes to california.

I really never got SUPER into Underoath beyond A Boy Brushed Red... but MAN that song goes hard

3: what is a very unpopular band you're into? tell a little bit about them

Unpopular as in no one knows who they are, or unpopular as in... they’re kind of a joke and no one takes them seriously/admits to liking them? The former would be July Talk, who are my darlings and one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. The chemistry between the two singers is UNREAL. They’re like... indie rock but sometimes kinda bluesy? Also they’re all my faves, their guitarist spends 90% of his time on twitter retweeting people talking shit about them and their drummer is the purest ever and just uses Instagram for his birding photography, I love him. The latter, a band no one admits to like/no one takes seriously/are pretty much a fucking meme are the Plain White T’s but LISTEN!!!!! I’ve been listening to them since 2002, they are so much more than Hey There Delilah, they’re my boys and I love them.

I don’t know if it like, actually counts/if there are recordings in existence but listen there are songs written BY Fall Out Boy FOR One Direction that were considered “too weird” for them and I’ve never needed to hear any specific songs more in my life.

6: is there an artist whose solo career you prefer over their work with their band(s)?

I prefer Justin Timberlake to N Sync because those battle lines were drawn when I was 12 years old and I chose BSB. I OBVIOUSLY made the right choice but man, solo JT is the shit.

7: which is you favourite side project by any band member?

Blaqk Audio. But I also really like Brian Fallon’s solo album but I think that’s just... his project now, I don’t think Gaslight Anthem is a thing anymore.

8: which song do you think should everybody listen to at least once in their lives?

Hear me out -- it’s the Neverending Story theme song by Limahl. I FUCKING LOVE THE NEVERENDING STORY MORE THAN MOST THINGS. (also the New Found Glory cover is A+++)

9: explain why your favourite song is your favourite song

I don’t really know what my favourite song is, like, of all time. As a kid it was probably Forever Young by Alphaville and I can’t really explain why except that instrumental bit at the end is amazing (also ask @sinceubeenjon about how I feel about the One Direction cover because... I love it. I’m not ashamed). My favourite like... not-embarrassing song is probably “Falling Slowly” because I also love the shit out of Once, and it’s like 7 years later and I’m still obsessed with it winning the Oscar over three Disney songs, it’s the greatest underdog story of all time. And I’m in love with Glen Hansard.

10: any bands you got into after seeing them live?

So okay my love of the Plain White T’s (which started after I saw them open for Jimmy Eat World, so there’s one) meant that for a LONG time I was seeing them open for other bands or as part of really weird lineups and because of them I got into The Rocket Summer, Lucky Boys Confusion and, recently, Set It Off. I also got into Anberlin in 2003 when they opened a show I went to and they went on to be one of the most important bands in the world to me (and then ruined my life by leaving me forever in 2014 but IT’S FINE I’M FINE)

11: any bands your friends got you into?

I guess I can count Jacques who got me into Creeper lmao. Also in high school my friend Shannon fell in love with the first Taking Back Sunday album and gave copies to EVERYBODY, so there’s that one, and I fucking love that album (kiiiiiinda fallen off them lately but damn that was a good record.)

12: a band which is the only band from their genre you like?

I don’t regularly listen to all that much hip hop but I adore clipping. so I guess they count.

13: an unpopular opinion on which is your favourite song by any band?

Listen, all you former emo kids are dead wrong about MCR, Welcome To The Black Parade is not their best song, it’s obviously Headfirst for Halos or You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison or Helena like... anything off Three Cheers. Also like as recently as last week I was thinking about a band where the die-hard fans all pretend to hate their most popular song and wanted to say we can all admit it’s fucking great, let’s not be too cool for it but I CAN’T REMEMBER WHAT BAND OR SONG THAT WAS ANYMORE. I REMEMBERED WHO IT WAS IT WAS JIMMY EAT WORLD AND THE SONG WAS THE MIDDLE. FUCK Y’ALL THAT’S A GREAT DAMN SONG.

MxPx - Life In General. I’ll fight you on this. I love that album cover. Although Glassjaw - Worship & Tribute had a bad ass minimalist design too.

It doesn’t feel like this should be my real answer but I both love and hate what Anberlin did with Lowborn, from the cover variants (I have all of them and they’re framed with a signed one in the middle because I am GARBAGE) and the band photo on the back of it with like an obituary type layout. It hurts my soul but I like it too.

18: favourite concept album?

Showbread’s Anorexia & Nervosa albums were INCREDIBLE but then everyone hated them because no one likes when bands take risks for some reason??? and it made them bitter as hell and they called everyone out on their next album lmao I miss them. Also Boys Night Out’s Trainwreck was really good and someone made it into a stage show I want to see so badly.

19: which bands would you like to see live one day?

I think I’ve actually gotten to see almost every band I would ever want to but there are a handful of boybands I never got to see because they never made it over here that I’d like to. A1 and 5ive mostly. I don’t care. I’d go hard for them.

20: which was the longest concert you ever attended?

Like in terms of a single artist’s set fucking Eric Church played for three and a half goddamn hours on his last tour. C’mon man I don’t have that kind of energy. Good show though.

21: a musician whose music you enjoy but whom you dislike as a person or vice versa?

So uh... Stephen Christian from Anberlin SORT OF falls into this because obviously I love him??? and I love Anberlin and I love Anchor & Braille but MY DUDE I cannot do the worship album he just released. Can’t. Sorry. Not for me.

Also, there used to be the concept of “Good Guys Bad Band” thrown around the scene a lot, and I very strongly associate it with Simple Plan because it SEEMS LIKE THEY GOT HIT WITH IT A LOT and honestly? Those guys are/were the best. I can’t really speak to it now but like 15 years ago when they were starting out, they were rad as hell. SUPER nice, SUPER friendly, just really good dudes. But their music. Bruh. Same thing with Marians Trench, actually, Josh was just THE BEST but holy shiiiiiit they suck. (I’ve heard he’s kind of a dick now and that disappoints me)

“I think LA is going to be fun. Imagine how many music shops they have there,” Namjoon spoke while looking at his phone, Hoseok basically bouncing beside him. All of BTS were headed for LA to continue their ongoing tour, and everyone was excited. Even you who was already all the way in LA and completely prepared to go to their concert.

“I’m excited too, what do you think we’re gonna do there?!” J-Hope asked excitedly, causing small smiles to spread across the other members faces.

“I don’t know just hangout I think, visit random sights you know,” Namjoon responded, locking his phone as he turned to look at his hyung.

“It’s going to be so fun!” Jungkook exclaimed happily, looking out of the van window as they moved along the streets of LA, slowly approaching their destination.

“Wonder where we’re going to be staying?” Taehyung pondered, looking out his window in awe at the scenery.

“I'm hopefully staying nowhere near you guys,” Yoongi joked, yawning tiredly, just being awoken by Jimin. A chorus of giggles surrounded the inside of the van as they screeched to a stop in front of a grand hotel.

It was fairly sunny out today, so you were sitting outside on a chair in the middle of your lawn with sunglasses covering your eyes. Your hand fanned slowly in weak attempts at cooling yourself down as you carefully watched the oncoming traffic. Despite the heat pouring down on your hot skin, you were filled to the brim with excitement.

Today, you were going to see BTS in concert. You had been a fan for a while and the minute you found out they were coming to your state you bought a ticket the second they were on sale. Every time you thought of it butterflies exploded in your tummy, proving how nervous and happy you were about it.

The boys dragged their suitcases up the stairs tiredly in attempts to reach their room quickly and sleep the day away. Half of their morning and all night they were stuck on a plane and it would be a lie to say they weren't jet lagged from all the air travel.

Despite the weary aura the rest of the boys were giving off, Namjoon was unusually bursting with energy and was excited to explore. Asking the rest of BTS to join him, he was quickly declined as he moved outside.

A couple hours into his explorations he happened upon you, close to sleep as you now lie on the grass. Your sunglasses lay carefully next to you and your arm was slung over your eyes instead. Regardless of your comfy position, your head lifted to look at the culprit of the crunching grass coming closer to you.

Namjoon now towered over you, not helping how small you began to feel in his presence. You blinked carefully, the sun momentarily blinding you.

“Can you tell me the way to the record shop?” You knew that voice; even if it was really broken English. His name was right at the tip of your tongue until you could clearly see him, allowing his name to finally echo silently through your brain.

“Namjoon? Oh my, you're Namjoon from BTS. I'm a huge fan of yours and BTS’ music.” You smiled, happy you had learned how to speak Korean long ago as you stood up to appropriately talk to him. “Don't worry I'm not a sasaeng.” A delightful laugh left Namjoon’s mouth causing your smile to grow as he held his hand out for a handshake.

“That would be me, and what is your name?”

“(Y/N),” you smiled once again before turning to the sidewalk in hopes that Namjoon would follow. There was something intriguing about you that kept pulling RapMon towards you, so he was in tow as you began walking down the sidewalks of your neighborhood in synchronized steps.

“So, why did you decide to live in LA?” Namjoon randomly questioned, causing you to turn and look at him in bewilderment for a moment.

“Well, I’m a musician and I figured I’d have more luck getting somewhere if I lived here I guess? I’m not too sure.” An awkward laugh escaped your throat as you continued walking.

“You’re a musician? What kind of music do you make?”

“All kinds,” you grinned at him, turning to look at your feet as they dragged across the cement afterwards.

“I know you enjoy books so I figured I could use that as a conversation.” After a few minutes of comfortable silence you had finally conjured a topic to converse about with this Kpop idol named Namjoon that you were lucky to meet.

“Yeah, I enjoy reading in my spare time. It’s quite enjoyable,” he responded, sending you the dimpled smile that could make any girl weak in the knees. You guys delved deep into a conversation about books and authors you both enjoyed.

“You said you were looking for the record shop, right?” You stopped in your tracks as you finally reached the record shop he was asking about earlier, saddened to end your time with him.

“Yes,” he informed, looking at the small shop in awe as if it was the best thing he’s seen in awhile. And it was, except for you of course, you were on top of his list of the most beautiful things he’s seen in LA. “Why don’t you come in and give me some recommendations on music?” His offer was strictly in attempts to extend the time you both had together; not that he didn’t mind getting recommendations on music.

“Sure,” your voice was sheepish as you entered the store, Namjoon holding the door open for you like the gentleman he was. Both pairs of attentive eyes scanned the surrounding records carefully, in search of one’s you would both enjoy.

“Hm this is a really good one, I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to this on repeat.” You held up (A/N), showing Namjoon one of your favorite albums to listen to. “The composer is really good at what he does, and the bass in some of the songs throws me away every time,” you said with a small giggle as you read the back of the case. Namjoon’s eyes were looking at you in adoration as you giggled and showed off albums without a care. He felt so lucky to meet you while he was here, that he didn’t want to let you go.

“You should come backstage during our concert tonight,” he randomly blurted, causing your orbs to shoot up to look at him in surprise.

“I mean if you really want me to, but I don’t want to burden you guys.” Your voice was music to RapMon’s ears, and he wanted to relish in it for a long time.

“It’s not a burden. I wouldn’t be asking if it was,” Namjoon pointed out, causing a look of stupidity to cross your features.

“Duh, I should’ve known that.” You rolled your eyes at yourself as you placed the album back on the shelf, smiling up once again at Namjoon.

“Why don’t you just come hang out with us until the concert?” Namjoon’s brow was raised at you in question, hoping that you would say yes. Meanwhile you were in complete awe at the offer he had composed to you.

“A-Are you sure?” You had felt so lucky, that you pinched yourself, worried that this might just be a dream. How could someone like you, a small musician who is struggling to pull through in the industry, be noticed by someone like him, a musician that’s known and loved worldwide? Namjoon nodded quickly at you before grabbing your wrist and pulling you back outside, hailing a taxi so you both could put your legs to rest.

The concert had finally began and all you could hear was the sounds of screaming fans as one of your favorite bands performed. You were completely flattered at the fact that Namjoon kept turning towards the backstage to wink, smile, or blow a playful kiss at you during their songs. The boys had completely welcomed you when you hung out with them today, and you were completely grateful.

All of the boys quickly made their way backstage, sweat dripping quickly down their foreheads causing their skin to glisten in the light. It was hard for you to look away from Namjoon’s now see through white shirt, completely drenched in sweat from dancing his heart out.

You began spacing off until you were pulled into a tight hug and spun throughout the air, your hair whipping softly against whoever it was that had a hold of you.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself,” Namjoon’s dimpled smile was back as he once again towered over you. It was effortless to get lost in each others eyes, completely ignoring the ruckus going on around you. That was until hands connected with the back of both of your heads and pushed you both together in an unexpected kiss.

You swatted at the hand at the back of your head, face crimson red with embarrassment as you turned to glare at Hoseok, the culprit of the unwanted action.

“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to, it’s just Hoseok-” you blabbered before you were cut off by his lips again, but it wasn’t forced this time. Hoseok was bouncing happily beside you both, thoroughly enjoying the fact that he brought this on. Your eyes slowly fluttered close as your arms were pulled by Hoseok to wrap around Namjoon’s neck. You internally rolled your eyes but ignored him as you lost yourself in the kiss, wanting it to last forever.

“It’s fine,” you both were breathless as you pulled away, Namjoon finally responding to your rant from earlier. “I enjoy your lips against mine,” his cheeks were a light pink as he stared at you with a large grin. “Say, can I get your number? I would love to take you on a date sometime,” Namjoon questioned. You quickly nodded your head, tugging your phone out of your pocket and handing it to him so he could enter his number into your contacts. When he gave you it back, you glanced down seeing ‘Your Fave’ as his name with a kissy and heart eye emoji. You giggled quietly before texting him so he would have your number as well.

You bid your farewells before leaving the venue, smiling idiotically as you made your way home, excited to see where this thing between you and Namjoon would lead.
