now why do I go on Twitter and find out that Gina wasn't casted as Gabriella bc she wasn't "innocent" enought to play her?? no bc I'm fucking pissed that makes no sense. gina is a new student, a sophomore, so one of the youngest people in the cast, and the only interaction ms jenn had with her prior to casting was her audition; there was no way to gauge "innocence" from this limited interaction except for racism. she was (and is) more qualified that nini at every step and the literal only reason nini was casted was bc she was calm when the lights went out and remained committed to her performance. it's simply not adding up. also on ricky's sheet, she said he had off the charts chemistry with nini but they weren't even casted yet so why did it matter??? ugh Gina DESERVED to be gabriella no one can tell me different like me jenn is simply anti-Black. gina had every single right to feel robbed; she fucking toured with Annie when she was younger while nini was playing the back end of a cow. yeah Disney will pay for their crimes. also including the pics of the auditions from the book
