You finish fixing her hair when there is a knock on the door, you are not waiting for anyone, Charles had gone out to buy some groceries but other than that you weren't waiting for someone else. So very cautiously, you walk towards the door and look through the peephole to see who it is.

“What... What he does... here?” You whisper to yourself, on the other side of the door is your ex-partner.

You feel your body start to shake, this can't be happening! How did he manage to find out where you live? You're honestly terrified to think that he might take Lily, but to be honest, coming back after almost three years of abandoning you both when you were pregnant it's pretty stupid and dumb.

With trembling hands you manage to write a quick message to Charles which, surprisingly, he read immediately and replied with “I'm on my way bubba. Don't worry everything will be fine <3” You let out a sigh and very carefully looked through the peephole again, he is still standing there with a face that is not at all pleasant.

With a heavy sigh you slightly opened the door. “What are you doing here?”

He smiled coquettishly. “I thought about paying my girls a visit.”

You cleared your throat. “Oh really? After almost three years, really? Besides we were never "your girls", so if you can go away I would be very grateful” You say with a coarse, serious and annoying voice.

He sighs heavily. “Do you have another man?” He says with anger. “Answer me, bitch.”

You roll your eyes. “So what if I have it or not? It's not your fucking problem!” You say exasperated.

He looks at you again with anger and hatred. “You are with that fucking little driver? Oh really? You are such a little whore, looking for new sticks to insert in your holes.”

“Please, stop now, please.” you whisper, begging him to leave you alone. “Stop this please.”

He didn't listen to you and slapped you in the face, the raw sound echoed in the hallway of the building, you were perplexed in your place with your red eyes full of tears. This was common when you were together? Yes, sadly it was, but you couldn't do anything, you were too young and, according to your parents, he was the "right man" for you... What a crap.

“Mama?” You heard Lily's soft voice and before your ex could hit you again you took her into your arms.

You looked at Lily with a somewhat sad face. “It's okay cutie pie, mama is here.” you whisper.

He looked at you both like you were fresh meat. “Is that Lily? Come to daddy sweetheart.” It's ironic how one moment he was hitting you and now he wants to play house with you and Lily, totally abnormal.

Lily looked at your ex and started whining. “You not ma' dada.” Lily said in a stammer.

“I know darling, dada is going to be here soon, I promise.” you whispered again.

He frowned and became angry again. “So, you're really with that little driver, huh? Oh little bitch, you'll see.” He said with his voice full of rage and egocentrism.

You closed your eyes and covered Lily as you waited for the impact of, perhaps, another slap or perhaps something worse, but that impact never came. Half open your eyes to watch as Charles held your ex's wrist with one hand and grabbed the door frame with the other.

“Listen, I don't know who the fuck you are but I'll just say one thing and I hope it's clear to you.” Charles said with a strong voice, you had never seen him so angry, well, only a couple of times when he got angry with his track engineer, but nothing more than that. “You come to touch a measly inch of my wife and daughter and I swear to you that you won't have an easy time finding a job or even a partner later on, is that clear?” he said rudely.

“You're just a fucking driver, what are you going to do to me? Run over me?” Your ex said.

Charles laughed sarcastically and without grace. “Please, I am capable of making your life miserable.” he smiled sinisterly. “Now if you allow me, could you get out of here? I want to spend time with my wife and daughter, and if that bothers you and you want to cause another stupid scene, I can call security.” he said in a serious voice.

As if it were a warning, the building security appeared and took your ex-partner away from your apartment door, you let out a sigh of relief and hug Charles with Lily in your arms and he hugs you back. You let out the suppressed tears in your eyes, it has been so long since you felt so much fear and terror and the fact that Lily has been present terrifies you even more, he begins to rub your and Lily's back very carefully.

“He's gone baby, let it out, there's no pressure.” Charles said in a whisper as you entered the apartment again.

You let out a little whimper. “I don't know what... I don't know what he was doing here, how he found us... I was very scared.” He caressed your face a little and then separated and looked for the bag with the groceries that he left in the hallway. “I don't what he wanted Cha... I'm... I'm sorry” you whisper he wiped your tears with his thumb.

“Baby... You don't have to apologize for his shitty attitude, the important thing is that I arrived on time, don't you think? And besides, you and Lily are safe, which is the most important thing.” he said. “Although, I can help you place a restraining order against him, if you wish.”

You blinked a few times. “Really? Charlie, it's not necessary, you know?” he shook his head multiple times.

“Love, you have to do it. It's for your safety and Lily's! I wouldn't mind talking to my lawyers about it and getting help from them.” He said in a calm voice as he carried a calm Lily in his arms.

“You're sure?” I looked at him hopefully.

He nods. “Completely sure, darling.”

You nod with a shy smile on your face. “Okay babe.”

He kisses your temple. “Now, how about we cure that ugly mark on your face? And then we can have a cuddle session for my favorite girls, how does that sound?” He says while tickling Lily's tummy, you nod.

“That sounds good." You smile a little. “Thanks again love.” you said and he kisses you softly.

He guides you to the room and heals the minor wounds left by your ex's slap. His touch is gentle and soft, it's like he doesn't want to hurt you and that's good for your soul. Finally, he placed one of Lily's bandages on your cheek and kissed the spot, causing you to giggle.

“Your stuble tickles me love!” you say and he smiles and blushes.

“And why isn't Lily tickled, hm?” He says with a little smile and starts giving Lily kisses and she giggles loudly.

“Dadaa! Tickles!” she says between giggles.

You smiled. “What did you say, honey?”

“Fine, fine. Maybe you have a bunch of tickles!” he says with a chuckle. “My ticklish girls.” He says and tickles you and Lily again and you both laugh louder.

After a few hours, sleep overcame Lily and you were just a push away from falling asleep, the fatigue of the unexpected day was hitting you hard. But you couldn't go to sleep without first talking to Charles a little, it was a kind of routine that you do before going to sleep.

You murmur. “Mhm, baby?” you asked.

“Can't you sleep my darling?” He asks and you nod. “Come here petit bébé.” He says as he opens his arms. (little baby)

You snuggle into his arms. “I don't know how to thank you for what you do for us.” You whisper.

“Baby, you don't have to thank me for that, you know?” He says softly. “It's something that comes naturally from me, it's nothing really.” He says while placing kisses all over your face and you giggle.

“you are an angel charlie.” You smile.

“I don't see myself as an angel, but if you say so, that's fine!” He giggles and blushes.

You make a little silence and then speak again. “So... My wife, you said earlier, tell me, sir, what do you mean by that?” You giggle a little.

He blushes even more. “Oh well, I don't know, it just came out... I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable darling.” He said a little embarrassed and you silenced him with a short kiss on the lips.

“Not at all... I have to say that I liked it.” You whisper and he opened his eyes wide.

“Doesn't it make you uncomfortable?” you denied.

“You can call me that as many times as you want bubba!” you giggled.

“Oh god, thank you so much chérie, you make me the luckiest man in the world!” he giggled.

“It's nothing baby boy! It's like you say, it's something that comes naturally.” You say and give him several kisses.

With him you feel safe and loved, a feeling that you haven't had for a long time (since before you finally knew him). And so in the warm arms of your loved one, you fall into a deep sleep thinking that not everything is bad, there are good moments as well as bad ones, but with him and Lily there is nothing they cannot overcome as a family.

— he seriously can't resist whenever you just come up to him, either strut to his direction, or behind him and tap his shoulders, and you go; "can I braid your hair? Please?"

— he wouldn't dare resist.

— first time you did this, he was overly confused and flustered.

— you're so sweet when you braid his hair; you always ask if you're accidentally pulling his hair too hard, or if he was feeling uncomfortable or tired.

— you're also surprisingly fast when you do braids. But he notices that often times, you slow down your pace just so you both can have an excuse to talk to eachother longer.

— at random times, when you're braiding his hair and he start randomly flirting and telling jokes, whether it'd be bad ones or good ones, you always pull on his hair as a way to make him stop.

— one thing about you too, is that you put flowers behind your ear to finish up your looks. So yes, flowers are your signature style.

— he also noticed that the flowers you use on his hair matched the ones you used, so it does fluster him everytime he realized.

— he wasn't the only one who noticed, though.

— his mother also did when she complimented your hair.

"I love that flower in your hair, (name)."

i wish i drew more of robin solely for the fact id want people to see pictures of robin and assume that hes a canon character in 6 (esp if they assume the story of 6 is about robin and mashu friendship rather than the garbage we got in canon)

#ive literally had a joke sir robin servant for like. since i have gotten into this game and franchise #and he was mostly intended to just be a joke character until 6 dropped and i really didnt like the concept of the fairy knights #so i just made robin and made it so hes a fairy knight. and then canon got worse #but actually canon getting worse made robins story better #he got this cool plotline with the nature of purpose and identity and had the cool detail of being a pucca fairy #like robins story was not supposed to be this cool but it is #its like a story abt finding your own purpose and identity and the nature of courage and the power of companionship/friends and grieving #its unfortunate that i didnt find as much to write abt herb/patsy/ect but i like to think eventually ill flesh them out more #i think rob had his design already and hes the last knight from the main group so it focused on him #also mashu being in just such. a. horrible. storyline. and rob protecting her in a way with his cowardice was just -chefs kiss-#mashu protecting rob physically and rob protecting mashu through like the most last minute unrehearsed 'deception' is so good #i think theres angst potential for mashu (or even david and/or zerkerlot) meeting herb due to his resemblance #which i think is prolly bc of meeting mashu and co. he latches onto an appearance they like #idk maybe herb is like. similar to a siren? i never established what his fairy type is #i think thats another thing. rob being the servant to puck and therefore his fairy type being pucca was just such a good fit #i was salty puck was cut from canon (esp since puck is actually a legit thing in mythology) for dumb reasons #but i like the idea of puck willing his legacy to rob and rob having the pressure of taking it up #patsy and lilys relationship was sweet too. with patsy being like the jaded older sister figure to lilys (remaining) innocent kindness #bc lily has learned abt the worst of things after sw2 but she still has a lot of innocence and naivete #in a way patsy saving/encouraging the last bits of innocence/naievete/faith that lily has is very sweet #and in turn lily being the support that patsy never got but realizes she really loves is also great #and thats just the fairy characters. not even counting the cucu subplot #bully cucu as i call it lol #but its actually a suave backstabbing frenchman and a high school magician thief standing on each others' shoulders in a robe

Lucifer x Adam’s Sister!Reader

Lucifer had his fair share of significant others in his life, but there was only one that he truly loved, Y/N.

They had a relationship during his time in Heaven, which was eventually cut short as he fell not long after.

Y/N’s brother, Adam, didn’t like Lucifer, in the slightest. Lucifer had been with two of Adam’s wives, and he was not happy about that.

Unbeknownst to Lucifer, his beloved, had fallen not long after he did. But that was about to change.

Charlie, your first friend in Hell, was getting her rehabilitation hotel set up for her fathers arrival, various decor was hung, and (burnt) cookies were baked.

Charlie stood next to the door before taking a deep breath, “Okay everyone.” She said, getting ready to open the door, “It’s showtime!”

“Charlie!” A man’s voice says, you couldn’t see him, but his voice rings a bell.

“Hey da-” The blonde man runs up to his daughter, and squeezes her tightly, you finally got a good look at his face and… holy shit, it’s Lucifer.

“Oh, it’s so good to see you!” He exclaimed in a babyish tone, yep, Lucifer. “It’s uh, good to see you too, dad!”

Luci let’s go of his daughter after a moment, Charlie steps to the side, presenting to her father “Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!” She says, as confetti pops out of two of Pentious’ non working canons.

“Wait…” Lucifer murmurs, before his eyes widen.

“Y/N?!”

You grin, ‘Fuck yes, he remembers me!’ You think to yourself.

“Hi again, Luci.” You say, a wide smile present on your face, as you approach him.

You both smile at eachother, before some incoherent, awkward mumbles are exchanged, ‘Shit, I did not think this through.’ You thought. Then both just settle on giving eachother an awkward but friendly hug.

“Uh… Dad?” Charlie said, focusing both of your attentions to her, “You know eachother?”

“Oh, me and dear Y/N here go way back, we used to fling around if ya know what I mean!” Luci said, pointing finger guns at his daughter awkwardly, as she gave an awkward yet also disturbed smile, as your face flushes a bright red.

Vaggie steps forward. “Wait. Y/N? Like the Adam’s sister Y/N?” She asks, eyeing you in shock, “Heh. Yeah. A lot has happened since I fell.” You say bashfully.

Everyone kinda stares for a moment, sort of in shock, they had no idea you had a relationship, let alone you fell from Heaven, let alone you were Adam’s sister.

“So uh…” Lucifer starts awkwardly. “Who’s up for pancakes?”

“So this is what you’ve been up to since Eden? Gotta say, you’ve let yourself go.” Lucifer jokes, as Adam attempted to toss him around. “You judging me? You’re the most hated being in all of creation!” Adam says, flying after him.

“Well you’re first wife didn’t seem to hate what I had to offer her.” He said, putting a ‘V’ to his lips with his fingers. “Or the second.” He spoke, continuing to fly. “Or Hell, even your sister!” He said laughing, thrusting his hips back and forth, referring to what they’ve done in bed. “Bicka-chow-cho!”

“I will fucking end you!” You heard your brother scream to your (ex)boyfriend.

Request: hii! i have a request for a fan fic abt dean ♡ so basically reader and dean are really good friends (they've had crushes on each other for years now) and basically, the reader.. wasn't doing well for months and dean noticed that. and one day he's like "that's it" and asks her about it. after some time she just breaks down in front of him and asks him for a simple hug.

"You all like [Y/N], right?" Dean asked the room. He was currently reclining on an armchair in his Dean Cave, just finishing up a movie night with Sam, Cas, and Jack.

"Of course", Sam said as he started to gather up the empty packets from all of their movie snacks.

"Yes, she is very good at researching and has proven to be a valuable asset on some of our cases", Cas nodded.

"I haven't met her, but from what I've heard, I think I'd like her", Jack smiled back at Dean.

"Why?" Sam asked, pausing his tidying to listen to what Dean had to say. He knew Dean liked [Y/N], as in liked liked her, but he also knew that Dean wasn't about to ask for everyone's opinions on whether he should finally ask her out or not.

"I was just thinking that maybe she could stay here for awhile. I mean, you're right Cas, she's great at research, so imagine what she could do with all of the bunker's books at her finger tips?"

"That makes sense", Cas said.

"You want her to move in with us so she can do research?" Sam raised an eyebrow at him. [Y/N] had quite a lot of the bunker's books on loan at her own place, Dean had even made her a library card as a joke once. She lived quite a long drive away from the bunker, but on gaps between hunts, Dean was quick to volunteer to drive books to her that he thought she might find useful. They'd met a couple of years previous when they'd rescued her from a wendigo that she'd been 'researching' just a little bit too closely. Her research notes had impressed the boys, and they'd called her on their next hunt to ask if she'd ever dealt with vodníci before. Surprisingly, she had very useful notes on how to free the souls that the vodníci had trapped, and the Winchesters were able to save everyone as a result. Ever since then, they'd called her whenever they faced a monster that they were unfamiliar with. She usually had useful knowledge on it.

However, Sam had noticed that Dean had taken to calling and texting her on every hunt, finding some sort of excuse to ask for her help. He'd called him out on it several months ago when Dean had asked her for help with a werewolf case. Dean had tried to defend himself by telling Sam that you can never be too careful, and that it might not be a normal werewolf, but Sam just found it amusing. Dean had progressed to calling and texting her in between hunts, under the pretence that he had a research question, but then letting the conversation morph into non-supernatural topics. They'd become closer, or at least he felt so, and as a result, Dean knew that there was something off with her for the last month or so. She'd been taking longer to answer his texts, she'd been quieter on phone calls, and the last time he drove to her house, just a week ago, she hadn't invited him in to talk about the books like she usually had. He was worried.

"Yeah", he shrugged. "Don't you feel like this team is one person short? I mean, Cas, you're not always around. And Jack, you're still learning. Sam, you're good at research, but you can't research well when we're out hunting something. If [Y/N] was officially on our team and lived here, then we could really rely on her while we're out there".

"Yeah.. but doesn't she have a job, Dean? In her own town? I thought she worked in a community college?" Sam asked.

"Yeah. Yeah, she does", Dean sighed, before pushing himself up out of the chair. "Well, goodnight". He grabbed a couple of unopened snacks before leaving the room without another word. Sam chuckled as he finished tidying up, and both Cas and Jack looked at him with confused expressions.

"What's funny?" Cas asked, and Sam chuckled more at their cluelessness.

"Dean.. he uh, he likes [Y/N]".

"Yes, how is that funny?"

"No, like he likes her, as in has a crush on her".

"Oh", Jack nodded in understanding. "Is that why he wants her to move here?"

"Yep", Sam smacked his 'p', showing off his dimples in the process. "But don't mention it to him, he'll get embarrassed. If he brings up [Y/N] again, just pretend you don't know about his crush on her". He also happened to know that [Y/N] had a crush on Dean. He'd seen their interactions over the years and could tell that they both wanted the other, but she was too shy and Dean didn't believe that someone like her could want someone like him. Sam was hopeful now that Dean was thinking of asking to move in, that he might becoming open to the idea of admitting his feelings for her.

"Hi, Dean". Jack smiled as he walked into the bunker's library the next morning. "What are you looking for?"

"Hey kid. Uh, just something interesting". Dean had several cardboard boxes full of books up on the table, books that weren't used regularly enough to take up space on the shelves. He didn't think that any of them had even opened these boxes before.

"For [Y/N]?" Jack asked as he walked over to stand beside Dean and looked at the pile that Dean had made so far.

"Yeah, yeah I'm gonna go see her".

"Again?"

"Yeah, Jack. Again. When you have friends, you can see them more than once a month if you want to". Dean was not in a good mood. He'd texted [Y/N] after his movie night the night before but she hadn't responded. She'd seen it, so he knew she was alive, but she hadn't replied. He'd messaged her again that morning and tried to call, but she hadn't answered again. He'd left a voicemail, making up something on the spot about how he'd found an interesting book in the bunker and that he'd drive it over to her, so now he was stressed, trying to find a book that was interesting enough to serve as his excuse.

"Are you going to ask her to move in here?" Jack asked and Dean sighed, running his hand down his face in frustration.

"I don't know, Jack. What's with all the questions?"

"I'd just like to meet her", he shrugged and Dean sighed, feeling a little guilty for being short with Jack when he hadn't done anything wrong.

"Yeah. She'd like you", Dean chuckled, imagining [Y/N] dealing with Jack's 50,000 questions.

"Oh", Jack scrunched up his face. "But she should like you, not me".

"You can like more than two people, Jack. You like all of us, don't you?"

"No!" Jack quickly responded. "I don't have a crush on anyone", he shook his head.

"What? Who said anything about a crush?" Dean leaned away from the table and crossed his arms, frowning at Jack.

"Sam said", Jack froze, remembering his instructions not to bring it up, and he quickly cleared his throat. "Nothing. Sam didn't say anything, I.. I just got mixed up". He nodded, happy with his explanation, and slowly and awkwardly stepped away from Dean before turning around and walking out of the room. Dean stared after him, wondering what exactly Sam had said to him, then continued searching until he found a book that listed several creatures and artefacts he'd never heard of before.

Dean was nervous when he got to [Y/N]'s front door. He was always a little bit nervous going to see her, but this time he was worried on top of it. He didn't know if she was even going to answer the door, considering she still hadn't responded to his texts or voicemail. He had his excuse tucked under his arm, and he took a deep breath to make himself relax. He told himself he was being stupid, he shouldn't be worked up about going to visit a friend. He was Dean Winchester. Monsters, demons, even angels were scared of him, he shouldn't be scared of a woman who he happens to be attracted to. He shook his head and forced himself to ring her doorbell. When he didn't get any response, he knocked on the door and tried to peer through a small window beside the door.

"[Y/N]?" He called out as he knocked on the door again. "Come on, open up, I know you're in there. It's Dean". He continued to knock until he heard the door unlock on the inside, and it slowly opened to reveal [Y/N], though he took a moment to recognise her. She had bags under her eyes, her hair was a mess, and she'd almost definitely been crying. She didn't open the door fully, just enough for her to stare straight ahead at his chest, avoiding eye contact. His gaze softened as he took in her appearance. He mentally scolded himself for not getting her to let him in the last time he visited. He knew something was wrong and he'd let it go on for too long. He wasn't good with feelings, or emotional conversations, but he wasn't going to let her be alone any longer like this.

"Okay, that's it. You're gonna open the door, you're gonna let me in, and then you're going to tell me what's going on with you. Got it?" She nodded slowly, still not looking at him, but opened the door wider, stepping aside and quickly wrapping her arms around herself in a weak attempt to hide her appearance. Dean wasted no time in stepping forward and closing the door behind him. He looked down at her and put a hand on her shoulder, but she didn't look up at him. He gently squeezed her shoulder before letting go, and hooked his finger under her chin to pull her face up, making her look at him. "Can we sit down somewhere and talk?" He asked and she nodded, pulling away from him and walking into her kitchen, where she sat down at the table. He followed her in and set the book down on the table before sitting down opposite her. "Okay, go on". He nodded at her and she took a deep, but shaky breath.

"I got fired".

"What? When?"

"About six weeks ago", she sniffed. Dean knew how much she loved her job, so it made sense to him now why she was so upset. He didn't know why she hadn't told him though.

"Why? They couldn't have someone better than you". He reached over to grab her hand, and she squeezed it in a thank you.

"I kind of missed a few days. I got caught up in researching Garth's vegetarian werewolves a couple of months ago. I lost track of time and when they called to ask where I was, I panicked and made up some stupid excuse that they didn't buy. They said that was my first and only warning. Then I.. I kind of did it again six weeks ago, I just got caught up on a research trip and didn't have cell service so I couldn't let them know that I wasn't going to make it to work. They fired me when I was finally able to call them back the next day".

"Shit... I'm so sorry [Y/N]", he squeezed her hand comfortingly. "Why didn't you tell me?"

She looked up at him at this, slightly confused. "I didn't think you cared that much about my personal life. We usually just talk about research". She wiped her sleeve against her eyes as a few tears had escaped during her explanation. "And I didn't really want to tell anyone, I don't like people knowing that I'm struggling".

"Of course I care about your personal life. You've become a good friend of mine", he shook his head. "You can always tell me about anything that you're struggling with. You've really taken this job loss hard, haven't you?"

She shrugged and looked away from him. "It didn't exactly pay a lot", she took her hand away from him and wrapped her arms around herself again. "It wasn't really enough to save much. I'm running out of money and I haven't been able to find another job, this is a small town".

Dean leaned back in his chair. He felt sad for her, he knew that she had loved her job, but he couldn't help but see this as a good thing for his desire for her move in with him, one less obstacle in the way. He knew that was selfish, so he quickly pushed that though to the back of his head as she continued. "I just feel so lost. I don't know what I'm supposed to do", she wiped away another tear. "I'm not going to be able to pay my rent this month, and I don't have any family, I have nothing now". The last part of her sentence was slightly difficult to hear as she started to cry, and Dean's heart broke for her. "I'm sorry", she whispered.

"Hey, no. It's okay, you don't have to be sorry. Do you want me to get you a glass of water? Or anything?"

"Could you..." She sniffed and then shook her head. "I mean, no thank you, I'm okay". The tears that continued to stream down her cheeks did not agree with her words.

"You're not okay, what were you going to ask me for just there? Anything you want, just name it, I can get it for you". He stood up and stepped around the table before kneeling beside her. He took her hand and rested it on her lap, pulling her around to look down at him.

"I was going to ask for a hug".

Dean looked up at her and smiled. She sounded so innocent, she was such a nice light in his world. "Come here then". He stood up and pulled her up with him, immediately pulling her into his chest. She wrapped her arms around his waist and he could feel her take a deep breath against his flannel. He pressed his lips into her hair before resting his chin on the top of her head. He held her tight, wanting her to feel secure in his arms. They stood there for several moments, and Dean closed his eyes, letting himself enjoy their closeness.

After her breathing became less shaky, he gently moved his hands up to her shoulders and pulled back from her a little bit. "[Y/N], I uh, I actually wanted to ask you something. And before you say anything, I decided to ask you this before now, you can ask Sam, I talked about it with him and the others back in the bunker last night, so this isn't me trying to give you a handout or anything". She looked up to him a look of confusion.

"What were you going to ask?"

Dean gulped and scratched the stubble on his jaw nervously before brushing a tear off her chin. "I was going to ask if you wanted to try staying at the bunker for awhile, like if you wanted to try being on Team Free Will on a more full time basis. The research you do... [Y/N] it's so valuable to the world, and you're not paid anything for it. You shouldn't have to keep a low paying job just to support your research. I know you liked your job, but I also know you love your research even more. You can't give that up, not for anything. You save people with it". She gave him a small smile, and he smiled back before continuing. "You know my friend Charlie, right? I've told you about her? Well, she gave me and Sam a hacked credit card. We don't have to worry about money at all. And, we have a bunch of rooms in the bunker that you could choose from, and a seemingly endless supply of research material", he chuckled at her as her eyes widened at his offer. "What do you think? I mean, if you don't like it, you can always leave, but would you be interested?"

She blinked up at him, not responding at all, and he could feel his cheeks heat up in embarrassment. 'Of course she wouldn't want to come live with a bunch of hunters in a windowless bunker', he thought to himself. 'She probably doesn't even think of me as a friend, she probably helps out a load of different hunters. Why the hell did I think I was in any way special? Idiot'.

"Okay", her voice was quiet but it pulled him from his thoughts, and now he was the one blinking at her.

"Okay?" He asked, slightly unsure about whether he'd heard her correctly or not.

"If you're sure you don't mind, I'd really like to join the team and see what it's like... you said you talked to Sam about it, does he mind? Do the others mind? I don't want to encroach on their space if they don't want me there".

"[Y/N], I can assure you, they'd love to have you there. I think you'd be a huge help on our cases".

"Then... okay", she breathed out.

He grinned at her and she smiled back at him, feeling excitement instead of sadness for the first time in six weeks. He pulled her back into a hug and then chuckled. "I have to warn you, Jack really wants to meet you, but he's going to have a million questions for you. And we also have a movie night at least once a week, we take turns choosing so you'll have to suffer through one of Sam's choices every four... no, now every five weeks. Yeah, we definitely need you on the team".

Various Adam headcanons

A/N I'm not an Adam simp, I just have been thinking abt him since the last post I did.

A lot of these are just things I feel in vibes and are completely baseless haha.

If you're close with him, he'd likely feel more comfortable to take it off around you - would fight to keep it on at all times if he doesn't trust you or feel safe with you.

I headcanon he put on weight after getting to heaven because after he was kicked out of Eden he didn't have nearly as much food, so he began binging when he finally had it again. It kind of just stayed a comfort for him.

He's really insecure about his weight gain too. If you point it out he's gonna get really upset. (Like how Lucifer does in ep 8)

Follow up: he literally always has snacks and is an absolute bitch about sharing them. If he does share them with you, he expects you to be really grateful.

His masculinity is fragile as it gets.

Would physically wilt if you even slightly imply he's not masculine and then become extremely angry and try to prove he actually is.

The main reason he is misogynistic is due to his experience with Lilith.

Before Lilith ran away from him, I think that Adam actually had extremely high respect for women.

His whole purpose was to reproduce. Women do a hell of a lot more then men during the whole process of reproduction and dude worships pussy even now (he named his best soldier after it. Not after dick, vag)

I imagine that it was a much larger appreciation for women in general before Lilith screwed him over.

This soured into misogyny, though, after she ran away and likely grew much, much worse with Eve due to her actually being made from him.

Eve then proceeded to eat the apple given to her and resulted in them being kicked out of Eden, which made it even worse.

summary: basic sick-fic. Shuri is hella stubborn, that’s abt it.

A/n: Ive had to redo this a good 3 times. Anyway, this was requested on my old acc and I’ve finally finished up, hopefully whoever requested this is still around 😭

I love going on missions. More than anything. But this one had to get cut short once I got news of Shuri being sick. I’ve only been gone for 48 hours, I’ve just landed back from a mission only to hear that my beautiful wife is sick. And I thought that shit was a joke because how the fuck does she get sick? She’s got one of the most powerful plants in her system and not only that we’ve got the most advanced technology known to man.

I crack the bedroom door open only to find Shuri turned into a mass of blankets wrapped up in our thick comforter. I drop my duffel bag in front of the door and walk towards her, peeling away the layers of the covers.

I hear her heavy breathing and I see her pretty face in real-time for the first time in 2 days. Her cheeks are hot and sweat dampens her skin.

“Hey, baby…” I whisper doing my best to keep my volume down. She doesn’t respond, her eyes shut close and her body curled into itself. I gather her in my arms and it’s enough for her to blink her pretty eyes open.

The white in her eyes is red and her skin is damn near dripping.

“Have you not had any medicine?” I question, whether she shouldn’t be doing this bad with how much tech we have. But knowing her, she’s so damn stubborn. I should know better than to ask, her throat is probably scratchy.

“I’m fine.” She mumbles trying to turn around but her body is too weak to.

I move her curls out of the way and look at her clothing, my red MIT sweats and a white shirt, the same outfit she was in when I last FaceTimed her right before landing.

She hasn’t left her room at all, I’m assuming while I peel back her shirt to feel how damp it is, I touch the skin along her abdomen and it’s hot to the touch.

I grab her wrist to navigate her kimoyo beads and begin to administer some herbal medicine.

“Griot, give me Shuri’s Stats please,” I order.

“Griot, don’t do that.” She groans, grabbing my wrist.

“I’m sorry, Your Highnesses, whose orders do I follow?” Griot questions and she reacts too slowly for him to catch anything.

“Mine,” I answer clearly.

“The Queen’s temperature is at 101 degrees Fahrenheit, she’s been in and out of sleep for 30 hours, her heart rate is at 69 beats per minute,”

The only thing alarming is her temperature.

“Shuri, I ain't tryna scold you right now, but why didn’t you say nothing?” I ask only for her to groan.

“M’fine, it happens.”

“Walk then,” I tell her and she looks at me like I’m crazy. Then she rubs her eyes and sits up slowly. She’s only sitting up because I’m supporting her back so I let go only for her back to hit the bed.

“Fuck off.” She curses and it makes me laugh harder than I have all week. When I’m done laughing, I help her off the bed and onto the sofa bed that’s across from it.

I change the sheets for her to her favorite dark purple ones and clean up all the stuff she’s left around the room.

“Griot, did the Queen get her shots this year?” I ask, I’m not sick and no one else in the citadel is. I settle next to her and she’s not asleep, just blinking slow as fuck.

“Yes, however, it had left her system once she took the herb,”

She had a challenge to the throne a week ago by someone from the river tribe, and she was fine at first. Maybe that entire month of training drained her body a lot.

“Is there any other reason why she could be so sick?”

“The Queen hasn’t had a sufficient amount of water in a couple of days, Her body is also trying to handle the effects of the herb being back in her body,” Griot says as I place her head onto my thighs and watch her lie down. Her lips are parted just a little and her breathing is so shallow.

“I’m fine like I’m okay,” She insists.

“Dude, literally shut up,” I say and it earns me a dopey smile.

She’s shaking a little and her clothes are nearly drenched I feel her forehead with the back of my hand. She’s nowhere near burning up. Her skin feels normal just damp. What the fuck is goin on?

I’m confused, this AI ain’t helping me, I hate this.

I get up slowly so I don’t move too fast. I’ve spent days bandaging her up as she has for me but this is sickness, not wounds. There’s not a single scientific explanation I can think of that explains this.

“Griot, what should I do?”

“Keep her awake, A very hot shower should help, a couple of herbs can be found in the garden that should be able to ease her pain, I’ll make a list for you and you may demand it once ready.”

Sounds like a plan.

….

“Shuri, get in the shower,” I order only for her to glare at me.

“No, you don’t see how hot it is? Are you mad?” She asks, sniffling while steam fills up the bathroom.

“You’ve fought wars, Shuri, get in the shower, ‘it’ll help I swear,” I tell her. She’s always been so picky about the temperature in the shower which is one of the reasons why we can’t ever shower together. She loves her a cold shower and I can’t stand it. I wouldn’t take a cold shower if you paid me. She says they help her get ready for the day but I would never.

“You already naked man, just get in the water,” I mutter, she’s only in a towel and she’s already undressed. I need her to just get in.

“A’ight listen, man, If you don’t get in the damn shower-“

“Then what?” She challenges, letting out a little cough while she’s at it. I’ve lifted her before, that’s only happened recently. I wasn’t able to do that when I first met her. But I’ll do it again if I have to.

“Shuri, please, it’s not that bad.” She steps closer and puts her hand out to feel the water.

“It’s too hot.”

“I’ll get in with you.” I offer.

“I guess it’s not so bad then.”

…

“Shuri, open your mouth,” I tell her, calmly as I pour the syrup into a cup. She looks at me in disgust and shakes her head like a kid. It’s medicinal syrup, made here that I take when I’m sick and I feel better by the morning.

But unlike Shuri, I ain’t this fucking stubborn.

She turns over in bed till she’s lying on her back. After a couple of seconds, her mouth opens slightly for her to breathe.

“Fine.” She groans before taking it all in one sip. Her lips curl in disgust before she lifts the comfort over her body and I can hear her breathing as she huffs. She turns so her back faces me.

“You’re acting like a kid.” I chuckle when she coughs.

“You’re the height of one.”

“You sure you sick? ‘Cause you got a lot of slick-ass comments.” She doesn’t say anything and I realize it’s because she’s finally asleep.

We end up falling asleep soon after and she wakes up, refreshed, earlier than I do. Like she was never sick. I have to get back to my mission but I wake up feeling dizzy, my head is pounding.

I feel her hand on my forehead, gently caressing my baby hairs while I do my best to sit up.

“Tell them you can’t make it to the mission.” She murmurs.
