so i love x reader fics. its how i got into fandom and was generally my primary form of media interaction with whatever my latest Thing was since i was about 8-9.

that being said.

man. it was a lot more enjoyable when i thought i was a girl.

#like hey no shade x reader fics are first and foremost self indulgent wish fulfillment for the author and a lot of them happen to be cis #and afab. so yeah most of their reader protags are going to be afab women. #but also just... i want to read a fic and not have the reader character called ‘girl’ or ‘the woman’ for once #it’s.... pretty bad with sw fics #there are so few good longfics with a trans or gender neutral reader character #most of the ones i find are less than 1k words and written specifically as a request for a trans/gn reader #personal #i actually have a lot to complain about on this subject hold on new post time yee fucking HAW
