Aha, thanks for asking, it's one I'm very excited about. So, I noticed a severe lack of light-hearted fics in the OoT zelink fandom. Longer ones with plot, anyway. It's always hero's shade this and trauma that... Yes, I know my own isn't exactly all sunshine either, but I'm here to fix this terrible situation!

The premise of this story is that Zelda begs her father to arrange a betrothal between her and Link before he leaves for Termina. It's a child's castle in the air, but her father loves her very much so he agrees. Under one condition: Link must come back and ask for her hand until her 21st birthday or the betrothal will be resolved.

The story somehow leaves the castle walls and becomes some kind of fairy tale legend. It helps to keep up the mysterious air that Link never comes back.

By now, Zelda's 21st birthday is approaching rapidly. Someone suggests a festival of three days of masquerade balls. The idea is that she either accepts the hand of another man that she has met on the balls or that Link might come back to fulfill the betrothal.

Of course, the people are thrilled about this. A month before the festival, Castle Town fills up with country knights, noblemen, and other important people. Zelda's ladies-in-waiting are especially excited about a handsome young nobleman who ignores all their approaches because he's certain he can win Zelda's favor.

The festival approaches and the Sheikah provide their magic of light and shadow to give Zelda the chance of getting to know her suitors without worrying about decorum. Their magic lets the mask become one with the face of the wearer so that only they can see the true face of the visitors. It's truly anonymous!

Zelda is indeed enchanted by one of the guests; it happens to be the nobleman who was so sure he had a chance. She uses her own magic to become Sheik for one of the evenings but unfortunately, the Sheikah magic doesn't work for her, so she still can't tell who he is.

And what about Link? Will he really wait until the very last second to surprise her like the rumors say? It's just gossip. It must be! He has never been seen again since that fateful day ten years ago...

ooo, he might also get a job on a tv show. a tv show that can show his wits and analysis skills on a bigger platform. maybe he'll appear on like a detective or spooky type programs? yep, scorpio card here so something to do with mystery, crime, etc. the show might also have emotional moments to do with family, friends - reunions or seeking closure. i also get an energy that he might be a fixed cast on this show too or at first, he might be invited as a guest and then the cast will love him so much that they'll offer him a full contract. this seems so interesting and exciting honestly, i'd love to watch it!!

The first drawings are redraws from The Lonely Planet. (This is my favorite WOY episodes, and the episode I obsess over….A LOT !):

The second ones are redraws from The Heebie Jeebies. (This episode is actually the ONLY WOY episode that scares me!):

loved what you said about nct (127)!they’re one of my favourite groups too and doyoung is one of my biases too, i sooo get what you mean. at first i only listened to their music without watching any videos or content, so his voice stood out to me first and i was like … damn, who is that … and here we are now! he has a fantastic voice and is really hilarious dhhdhehje. and your song choices! ahhh, i loved seeing those! your blog title made me think of time lapse right away and seeing you mention it i was like, well, that’s clear now (what a good song whew). overall, i just love how nct always has some stuff going on and you can just sort of pick what you want to enjoy and see from them 👌

loved your character list, i feel like these are so very you and fit what you’ve told me about the shows and stories you go for (and dw i would find it difficult to seoerate jwds and vegaspete too, they are so intertwined in each other). your taste really shines and i love how your gifsets always are an extension of that. the way you see your favourite media and characters and give them room in your stuff and your creativity is so cool! ☺️

i know our time is coming to a close, but some last questions bc i still love reading what you have to say: are there any dramas you are looking forward to in 2023 or any on your watchlist? any movies you really loved this year? and any show or movie that took you completely by surprise or was just a fun watch for yourself?

hello my mystery friend! i'm a little sad that our time is coming to a close--i've had such a nice time "chatting" with you!

this got kinda long, so i'mma put this behind a cut!

i'm trying not to freak out about the holidays--this was a rough year for us and frankly i don't need to compound my stress, y'know? it'll be okay. my family is relatively healthy and happy, and that's more than i could ask for.

right??? doyoung's voice is so good! doie, release a solo mini album, i beg 🙏 my friend pointed out once that my biases tend to skew toward the singers and when i thought about it, i realized she's right. doyoung from nct (also taeil!), kihyun from monsta x, onew from shinee, baekhyun from exo... there's definitely some merit to that lol

i was reviewing that list and wow i do have a type, don't i? i like my men slutty and/or emotionally stunted. 👌

you're so kind 💕thank you for saying that about my gifsets. i'm enjoying making them and stretching myself creatively. honestly, i haven't felt this creative in years. i didn't realize how much i missed giffing until i started doing it again on a regular basis. i thrive on engagement, and i'm so happy that people seem to enjoy what i do.

hmmm. dramas i'm looking forward to... i don't have a lot of new dramas on my list but there's a lot of already-released stuff waiting for me. 'prison playbook', 'under the skin', and 'big bet' are a few that come to mind. there are A LOT of dramas that i need to get back to (that adhd brain baby!): 'tomorrow', 'extraordinary attorney woo', 'the guest', 'flower of evil' and 'my country: the new age' come to mind. despite having lots of shows to resume, i've delved into a couple of new ones--'bad and crazy', 'somebody' and 'connect'. i'm enjoying them all so far. 'bad and crazy' is so much fun right now (i suspect it will get less fun as the series goes on) and the chemistry between lee dong wook and wi ha joon is great. 'connect' is interesting (and kinda gross, but it is takashi miike so). and 'somebody' gives me the chills. love it.

as far as movies, i really liked 'incantation'. i finally saw 'the handmaiden' this year--amazing. i also watched 'mother' and 'memoir of a murder'. both very very good films. i hope to continue my journey through shin ha kyun's filmography 😍 (god that man makes me insane)

i'm trying to think if anything took me by surprise, and honestly it would be 'beyond evil'. i realize i'm a broken record at this point, but that series really changed my life. i went into it anticipating a murder mystery and what i got was this beautifully told story about love, loss, death, greed, companionship, loneliness, found family, and flawed people. i think about it literally every single day, i've watched the whole series three times so far, and i feel like i'm due for another one soon.

“Good morning Capital FM listeners!” The man greeted into his microphone, “I am very glad to announce that we have a very special guest in the studio today.” He smiled at you, “Drum roll please.” 

The room formed a clapping rhythm putting you that extra bit on edge. You were nervous. But it wasn't because It was your first interview ever - and it certainly wouldn't be the last. Yet you still become apprehensive sitting at the table of people you'd idly listen to on your way home. 

Abruptly the clapping soft and the man spoke once more, “The infamous Y/n y/l/n is here!” The others around the table cheered and gushed over you and your talent. 

“Thank you,” You smiled clearing your throat, “I am very happy to be here today. Big fan.” 

Jimmy, the host, chuckled, “You're a fan of us?” 

“Well yes, what else am I supposed to listen to? Plus yall have a habit of using my music which is definitely something that will get you in my good books,” You smiled meekly at the man. 

“I knew it! Let's just say that we here at Capital FM are HUGE fans,” He admitted. 

“Oh, so you did it on purpose?” 

“Well no not really but I already have the best job in the world the only thing that would make it better would be getting to listen to the best in the biz,” Jimmy complimented. 

“I’m flattered, really,” You bit your bottom lip. 

“But of course as much as I’d love to chat with you about my love for you. I would love to talk about your upcoming album,” He prompted. 

“Oh well, there's nothing much I'm allowed to say,” You blushed. 

“Oh c’mon just a lil’ bit,” He pressed. 

“Right of course. Well, I guess I can say it's my favourite thing I've ever done,” The two of you grinned at each other, “And it's all down to the incredible people I get to work with because frankly, I could have not done it without them. You honestly have no idea how much I want all of you to see it! I can't wait! So look out June 27th it's coming your way.” 

“Hear that folks June 27th. Mark it in your calendar. Set a reminder. Count down the days to hear Y/n Y/l/n’s new album. I personally cannot wait.” 

Charismatically, Jimmy continued the interview speaking clearly into the microphone - and profusely compliment you. 

“So from what I hear your new album shows a whole new side of the mystery that is you,” He smirked. 

“Oh really? The mystery?” You blushed. 

Jimmy laughed before continuing, “Well yes on this album I've been told it debuts your first grasp of love songs. Would you like to tell us anything about that?” 

“Oh I don't know, Jimmy,” You chuckled, “What would you like to know?” 

“Well to start who are they about?” You said nothing, “Oh my... Have you got a crush, Y/n?” 

“No... no,” You insisted, “Well maybe.” 

Jimmy sat back in his chair laughing, “Go on, y/n. Spill it what do you got to lose?” 

“I wouldn't say its a crush. Maybe more than that. Ugh, I don't know,” You shut your eyes embarrassed. 

“Tell me a little bit about him,” He spoke down the mic. 

“He's well... he's perfect. I mean I've only met him once and it was like across this bar from him. We didn't even speak and I was so infatuated already. This man, my crush, is so freaking talented. He’s so smart and funny and nice and-” 

“Hot?” Jimmy teased. 

“Oh god so hot you don't even know,” You blurted making your cheeks burn. 

“Tell me, y/n, is he famous?” He inquired silencing you, “He is!” 

“Yeah, he is,” You gave in sheepishly laughing along with him. 

“What’s his name then?” You looked at him unsure, “C’mon you've come this far and it might not even see this.” Cheekily Jimmy looked into the other room worrying you as you felt as if you didn't understand the joke. “Go on then.” 

“Ugh fine, it's uh... it's Tom Holland,” You divulged, “And I know I'm falling for his charm as did millions of 14-year-old girls. But he's just great, isn't he? I mean how could you not?” 

“Well, that's very kind of you to say,” Someone entered the room. Shocking you but not because of the suddenness but because it was Tom freaking Holland. 

“O-oh,” You gulped nervously, “Hi.” Weakly you waved your hand him returning it with a more confident one. “You're Tom Holland.” 

“That I am,” He smiled - god that smile, “And you're Y/n Y/l/n. I love your music.” 

You almost choked at his words. He the Tom Holland liked your music. “I love your everything,” You blabbed before slapping your hand over your mouth. 

Tom moved further into the room sitting on a chair next to you, “Thank you, love. That means a lot coming from you.” 

“It does?” You furrowed your eyebrows. 

“Yeah well I've liked your music for some time - amongst other things,” He placed his hand on yours, “I heard what you said.” 

“You did?” “I did,” You sucked in a breath, preparing for the teasing but it never came. 

“Funnily enough I feel the same,” He admitted, “And well I came here today to tell you that. I just- I never expected you to say it first.” 

“Wha-?” You croaked flustered. 

“And I know this is quite strange - meeting like this. But I like you and you like me. So would you like to go out for a drink after this?” Shakily you nodded bring a huge smile on Tom's face, “Great. I’ll go wait out there. I’ll see you soon love.” Oh god ‘love’. The butterflies erupted in your stomach catching the words in your throat. 

“Yeah see you.” Tom turned to you before leaving and planted a small but meaningful kiss to your cheek - very close to your lips. 

“I can't wait,” He muttered before turning and exiting the room. 

“Oh wow,” You mumbled. 

“Oh wow indeed. For any listeners just tuning in I think we just planned Y/n and Tom’s future wedding,” Jimmy turned to you, “Which means you have to name your children Capital FM.” 

“Shut up,” You shied away. 

He chuckled before addressing you and the listeners, “Now where were we?”
