So, since everyone else has been dropping their Origins character in their older, Inquisition era... I figured I should work on the same for Mahanon! This was originally an AU design, but it's so gorgeous that I'm considering making it canon to his worldstate; @vahingoniloinenlapsi did an excellent job capturing the look I was going for! Mahanon has always been one to flirt with fringe cults; why wouldn't he take advantage of the rising power and shack up with the Inquisition? The Sword of the Herald, perhaps?

Insane actually that Sam and Dean never had a hunt in New York City, specifically on Roosevelt Island.

It has to actually be one of the most concentrated hauntings in the entire United States. Only 2 miles long and 800 ft wide at its widest point, then Blackwell Island housed prisons, "lunatic asylums", and the city's mandatory smallpox quarantine hospital all at the same time.

30,000 people died in the Renwick smallpox hospital alone. Patients were as likely to die from the conditions there as they were of the disease. Locals still speak about strange lights and noises coming from the roofless ruin at the island's southern tip.

Nearby visitors say they can hear the inmates of Blackwell Penitentiary working in the neighboring quarry where they were sentenced to hard labor breaking the stones used to build Renwick.

Ships were regularly wrecked at the north end of the island which sticks out of the Hudson River and came to be known as "Hell's Gate".

People currently live in the 500 condos that were built inside the former insane asylum. The hospital treated its 1,700 patients so terribly that Nellie Bly's famous expose on the place sparked outrage and an overhaul of the entire mental health industry. Residents claim their pets refuse to go in certain areas of their apartments. In the shadow of New York City, one of its inmates literally escaped and built a fortress to protect the island from an invasion he'd decided was coming. The wall still stands accompanied by a poem he carved into the rock asking passersby to pray for his soul.

It's serene and peaceful now, but it is unclear just how many tens of thousands died in these quarantined institutions.

We've hit Fall Saturday in the Chill Save, and instead of more store times today, we instead have a party! Because Smiler needs to have more parties, and I wanted the specific rewards you got from this specific party. :D However, before we had party times, we had to get through a few things --

He and Alice hung out with the cats for a little bit -- Victor getting a song from one of the kittens by the phonograph (as said kittens are very Talkative) and Alice giving Kelly some time with the laser pointer -- then I sent Victor to the mirror to make an important change. But to his, and everyone else's, last names. I THOUGHT I might have to go into "Manage Worlds" to change this, but as it turns out, you can update a Sim's name right from the mirror. So everyone in the household is now surnamed "Van Liddelton," like their grocery store! :D I was very happy to be able to do that -- while I wasn't exactly UPSET with them all ending up with the last name "Always" from the web of weddings we've had in this save, I genuinely prefer being able to give them a name that reflects all of them. :)

-->With THAT sorted, it was time to get to chores! Smiler set up the party, then popped into the greenhouse to make some sadness alleviation lotion before heading back to their robotics bench to tune up Bugs and Elmer. Alice spent a little more time slathering Kelly with love (gotta make sure mama cat is content), then headed to the computer to start a new Playful book ("What's One And One And One And," a book on Wonderland mathematics -- think those Wayside School math puzzle books), and Victor bought a bunch of dyes and started making more candles to put in the store later -- before getting distracted by Shadow wanting some attention. Victor felt the love from the dog, then decided to continue "Play Dead" training. As you can see, Shadow's got it down pat! :) Good girl, Shadow!

#i've been trying to move kijiko's eyelash remover to the occult scars section because i didn't want it taking up a skin detail slot #and y'all. i have been FIGHTING for my life trying to figure this out T_T i thought changing the cas part would be the simple solution but #it ended up disappearing from my game entirely (this was bc i had my altered version And the original one in my game + they had the same #instance ID and so the altered version was overriding the original one) #and i couldn't find it anywhere. WELL. i just realized the version i was editing was disabled for female sims + i never tested to see where #it was on male sims. so! i enabled it for female sims and it finally shows up <3 #i realized that the file is probably a merged one because girl. </3 it distorted the face when i tried it on cella so. i think the file has #male and female version packaged into one SO. once i get home from work i'm going to see #very excited though bc i'm hoping against hope that this was the issue with the other stuff i've tried moving that just disappears ;w; #but. we shall see.. much testing is otw #sriracha.txt

Despite the fact that I have over 50gb of cc, I surprisingly didn't have these staples in my game. I plan to eventually make a second part to this set, but tbh I want to take a little break from cas cc. My next project I'm working on is a Paris-inspired world mod!
