Obsessed with how ghost Cole didn't wish to be human again in Skybound. How it didn't even seem to cross his mind.

He doesn't like being a ghost. We know this based on Day of the Departed. In Skybound, we see that, based on his reaction to being invisible, just how genuinely terrified he was of not having a future due to his lack of reflection in the tomb. He grasped desperately at any other possible explanation.

And yet, in Skybound, wishing to be human doesn't even seem to cross his mind. Why? How?

The only thing I can think of is that he wanted to save his wishes for his friends. Even if he wasn't good at using those wishes, the thought that he'd use his wish for something selfish didn't even... Seem to occur to him. Nadakhan didn't try to push him to wish for humanity at all. He didn't see what happened with Clouse, so he had no reason to expect it to be agonizing or whatever.

So... Did Cole choose to stay a ghost so that he could save his wishes for his friends? To make sure they're okay?

Desmond, my boi, my silly little guy, bartender of the AC afterlife!

Imagine him, our traumatized little Chosen One, carving out a space somewhere not in the Grey, but connected enough, to have some time wonky bullshit and end up meeting the Assassin’s Creed cast one by one.

So when they die, they meet Desmond, a reluctant sacrifice who finally gets to retire, and as soon as the first of them show up he just goes:

“Oh, I get it.” And sits them down with a good Shirley Templar, and just chats with each of them. (Even mixing drinks inspired by each person who walks in, crafted with their personal tastes in alcohol in mind)

So we just have a bunch of Assassins (and a few Templars) finally fixing things with each other and getting to know their stories. (Maybe in the form of playing their respective games on the bar’s big screen, who knows, that’s up to you-)

Oh and Clay is there too, because both of them got done so dirty. He’s just sitting on his designated stool playing Mario Cart lmao.
