i was wondering about matt and mello’s parents reaction about them being involved with the mafia, also just in general if they kept in touch with their families as they got older

another thing, would they come out ? i feel like they would just “oh yk my childhood best friend? yea that’s my husband now .. btw what’s for dinner?” (i can picture both of them saying this but matt specifically)

I always feel bad about posting walls of text, so here’s the short answer.

Chris doesn’t know about them doing mafia stuff, Matt sure as hell ain’t gonna tell him what they did. Matt comes out pretty much from the start to his dad even though he was so scared of it but Chris is accepting and loving about it. Their reunion was absolutely adorable. They keep close contact to Matts family post-canon. They regularly come over for a cuppa.

Ivanka, Ana and Jakov only suspect Mello stepping in their dads criminal footsteps but don’t know what exactly Mello is involved in and they don’t want anything to do with it either. Mello comes out straight away too at the initial reunion - the siblings are either ignorant or low-key deriding Mello and Ivanka has an intense internal struggle about it. You know, croatian catholic conservatism and all that. And like Lilo choosing Stitch at the shelter, I can imagine Ana leaning over to Mello, being like

Nikola doesn’t know the details but he followed Mello’s criminal activity from a distance. So he knows what’s up and he’s pretty proud, I can imagine. There is one clash between Nikola and Mello in a shady bar, where Nikola is chilling with his criminal buddies. Mello doesn’t beat around the bush and introduces Matt as his boyfriend - to a whole table of old white slavic gangsters. I don’t need to tell you how insanely provocative this is. A heated argument between the two breaks out (Nikola shouts in croatian, Mello in english) where Mello makes it clear how he lost all respect for Nikola, how he’s never been there for the family, how he doesn’t deserve to have kids in the first place etc etc. Matt pressures Mello to just leave before things happen, Mello spits on the table as a last statement and leaves.

Settle an argument for me: do you think Eddie and Ana ever had sex or do you think they never got that far?

ohhh anon i was thinking about this the other day so this is perfect haha.

so originally i assumed that they didn't have sex. i thought maybe they had probably made out or whatever but that's it. HOWEVER a few days ago i was watching that scene in 5x01 where eddie has his panic attack and when he goes to check on how chris is getting into his suit eddie says "you really like getting me all dressed up" or something like that and ana replies "yeah. and the other thing" and that's when eddie smiles and shushes her by putting his finger to his mouth (yeah that sexy looking moment you know it) SO to me that implies she has gotten him out of his clothes and leads me to believe they had sex. i mean i suppose it's possible they haven't but like what are they doing, getting naked and just looking at each other?? idk, but after watching that and hearing that which i had not at all remembered lol i now think they had sex.

Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one

Hmm ok. I just made a dnd character for a one-shot my friend is running where we're level 10 characters. I'm playing this character, Iseult or just 'Izzy', who was a familiar to a wizard. Said wizard knew he was likely about to die before a big fight that was coming and he made a deal with a hag to turn Izzy into a person (she's a hexblood) so she could essentially just live her own life after he was gone. She's spent the last decade trying to find someone worthy of inheriting his spellbook. She's a lore bard so she can't actually use it herself (she was a songbird beforehand). Every time she finds someone who might match her criteria of giving the book to she finds something wrong with them and ends up not letting them have it. It's definitely not cause it's her last connection to her dead best friend. Not at all.

rice bowls with veggies (and the protein of your choosing, if you want one) is my go to when i don't want to cook something more elaborate. i just cook the veggies for a bit in a pan, with whatever condiments i feel like eating that day, soy sauce, and add the rice (kind of like fried rice i guess). Or you can do the pasta version or the soup version ((same thing, just change the rice for broth)).

I don't do meal preps because i spend enough time at home to cut everything in the moment (and bc i don't like it) but if you don't, you can just cut your vegetables etc and keep them in the fridge in containers, and maybe make some rice at the beginning of the week (which honestly works best for this, because fried rice always comes out better with leftover rice). That way you'll have everything ready to be put together pretty quickly

hiya ana! thanks for the suggestion! this ask actually reminded me to buy some rice while i was at the grocery store :)) (i have a rice cooker that i have yet to use since moving so 👀 time to start!) alas one of my fatal flaws (if life was fictional) is that i have the same taste as a picky eight year old and do not eat 90% of veggies but! i must overcome this in order to make your fried rice bc tbh that sounds like an easy prep dinner

I need to correct the previous anon. Ana's mother was the one who said in the interview, through tears, that the company has done nothing to help them, and that she "knows this kind of information doesn't reach the singer and artists, but that she really, really wants their support on this", so it's clear as of now that Taylor and her team haven't contacted them yet. I know Taylor is a kind person to her core and that she cares and that she fixes not supporting them now. It's clear she's traumatized by this too, but the bare minimum her team should have done is this, I think. It's a matter of time before it hits US news
