Hey, you mentioned that Anastasia likes fantasy stories and manga, but does she also like sci-fi as well? Maybe something like John Carter or Dune?

Not as much, no! Ana finds that science fiction, in general, tends to be very "forward"-looking, while fantasy is much more inspired by myths and history -- and for someone like Ana who is also enamored of history, that's really more her thing. There are definitely some sci-fi properties that blur the line between fantasy and science fiction -- such as John Carter and Dune, as well as Star Wars -- but honestly, they're still not as much Ana's thing, not only because there are less women as the leading role in those works (Jyn Erso and Rey are really the only times for Star Wars, and Rey's storyline was...yeah, not the best executed), but because Ana likes worlds that are a bit more romanticized and comfortable. (Some of her favorite books are The Last Unicorn; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; and the works of Lewis Carroll, to give you an idea.) Then of course in the case of John Carter of Mars, the man was an ex-Confederate...sorry, budding political activist Ana really wouldn't warm up to that. 😅

Another thing dictating Ana's tastes is that a lot of science-fiction properties have a colder, cleaner aesthetic and oftentimes a far less optimistic view of the world than many fantasy properties do. In the realm of sci-fi, you're much more likely to find stories of man's hubris -- of Man creating monsters and fighting against evil dystopias. And Ana is honestly a true romantic at heart -- however reserved and difficult to trust she is, she actually believes that people are inherently good, and she likes feeling happy, powerful, and optimistic, in the fictional worlds she escapes to. She wants the promise of a happy ending, even if not everything goes perfectly and not everyone makes it. So she enjoys the warmth, color, and comfort of something like a Middle Earth way more than something like out of the Starship Enterprise. Yes, she does like Gothic and steampunk visuals (you can thank her stepbrothers Jasper and Preston for turning her onto those subcultures!!), but she likes a certain lived-in, but not dirty or cynical softness to her fictional worlds. Plus from a nerdy history perspective, Ana finds the diverse interpretations of familiar mythical and magical creatures in the fantasy genre -- such as fae, giants, yokai, and dragons -- incredibly interesting to compare. ❤️

You know it's been likr a decade and a half since it came out, but I was moderating a yaoi imageboard at the time, so I'm still to this day impressed with the pun in the yaoi manga All Nippon Air Line. See, the a major airline of Japan is called All Nippon Airways, or ANA for short. But if you change it to Air Line...

You get the perfect acronym for a yaoi manga. All Nippon Air Lines: Paradise at 30,000 feet.

I don't think I even read it, I was just that impressed by the name!

Also I just realized this is the Coward edition of the cover. They edited the plane, because it spelled out the acronym. Here's the original one:

When you think you've seen it all, it turns out there's more than meets the eye.

This will show spoilers from Captain Laserhawk manga Crushing Love and also it will brings some Splinter Cell lore, so watch out if you don't want to get spoiled.

This little discovery had showed me a different take of the Captain Laserhawk lore and probably will be answering some questions (or create more *I am creating more questions than ever and the anxiety to know*).

It looks like Anna Grimsdöttir got a role in Dolph past

For some that are not familiar who Anna Grimsdöttir is, she was an ally of Sam Fisher during The Splinter Cell games and books, she was the Communications Lead later Chief Technical Analyst for Third Echelon and then became Technical Operation Officer during her Fourth Echelon era. She provided Sam with technical support during his field work also adressing any high - technology issues and a skilled hacker.

In this panels we see how Dolph tells his story with Alex (Grim was the only lady who could Boss Alex and he would not complaint, that means the situation was bigger than anything) and suddenly Marcus is surprised by seeing Ana and mentions that she was part of the war (I assumed he was mentioning about the Wastelands War), who provided Intelligence and saved Sam and Marcus many times and after they Lost, she went missing, not knowing about her whereabouts...

Now with this little revelation, It looks like there more than meets the eye, I can't tell everything yet because It looks like I need to read the rest of the manga, but how the things are going, there will be many revelations that could unite the missing links of the series' lore and this could be a twist to some questions that are unaswered.

Remember the last episode where a Rayman was send a message about going to see Bullfrog? Some assume many characters that would had sent that messege, but now with seeing this revelation about Grim, I can believe she could have been the one who send it. It looks like Anna was willing to stop Eden, too and the reason why she and Alex were working together, also there is something curious about a dialogue of Alex telling Grim if Dolph is not able to do his part he could talk to the Arms Dealer Andy (some that are not familiar with the Splinter Cell lore would past it unnoticed, but if I am correct, or I am assuming many things, Alex would had been referring to Andriy Kobin, an arms dealer who was enemy of Sam Fisher during Splinter Cell Conviction, then a temporal ally in Splinter Cell Blacklist).

So... Here it is this little discovery and man, there is a lot to be reveal and to see this, brings me a Big joy to know that more Splinter Cell characters are around the Captain Laserhawk serie, meaning that that maybe Sam will have a bigger part in Dolph's role in Season 2 (I really hope so). 🥺🥺🥺💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤

Oh!!! Almost forgot, Anna design in the manga looks like the design from Blacklist more than anything.😁😁😁😁💞💞💞💞💞💞

The Absolute Atrocious Audacity... of Anipoke's version of the Hoenn Battle Frontier

The Battle Frontier was arguably the first time in a mainline game where we got introduced to Battle Facility Characters. For a while, we had the titular Battle Tower, but for the first time, we had a unique boss to get to.

Much alike to Gym Leaders, they give out "badges" to commemorate your victory; Hoenn's being Silver and Gold Symbols.

However, for the time, many casual players that didn't focus on Competitive Training missed out on these special characters almost entirely. At the very least, they'd see them in Player's Guides along with their Silver and Gold Pokemon Teams.

But especially during that time, most, if not all, knowledge of these characters came from the botched version of them in the Ash Ketchum Anime.

I say botched because it's an honest to goodness fact that man the writers of the anime made some wild decisions.

This will be focusing mostly on Anabel of course, but I've been doing some snooping around the original Battle Frontier and Emerald's in-game text.

I'll go over why Brandon was never supposed to be the "leader" of the Hoenn Frontier, why Anabel was wrongly mistaken as psychic, why the Battle Tower was the real head of the battle frontier, and etc.

1.Who is the leader of the Frontier Brains?

Short answer, no one as far as we know. Long answer is that there are a lot of NPCs that, while making note of all the unique facilities, the Battle Tower is ALWAYS a stand out amongst them all.

When asking a guide about the Battle Tower, you get this dialogue:

"... It is the gigantic tower considered to be the BATTLE FRONTIER's symbol."

A child right outside the Battle Tower itself claims:

"Wow! It's huge! The Battle Tower feels special. It's different from the others."

Also to note that when looking for the Exchange Service and Rankings Building, they will be pointed over as "Near the Battle Tower" .... Which also points to how important the Battle Tower is to the Frontier as a whole.

It's good to note that no other battle facility gets this kind of fanfare. The Tower is uniquely special in its iconography.

... Seeing how both the Adventures Manga and Ihara's Manga puts Anabel as the symbolic 'final boss' of the frontier... It's safe to say that she's at least part of the very foundation and centralized symbol of the Hoenn Battle Frontier.

2.Why was Brandon the leader in the anime?

Chauvinism Brandon is often referred to as Chief... By only his Pyramid employees, and mostly in the vein of his whole gimmick of the Pyramid being an Indiana Jones type of adventure. So Brandon is the Chief of the expedition team that you meet inside the facility itself.

Brandon is never pointed out as anything particularly special or more important than the other facility heads.

He's probably a dev favorite, or for some reason, Anabel wasn't "leader" material for the anime. You know, the brain of the Frontier's central icon and one who became a head Chief/Boss within Interpol many years later.

3.Why was Anabel written to have Psychic Powers?

Oh you're not going to believe this. But I found that there IS an NPC at the Battle Frontier that is Psychic and can read a Pokemon's mind.

AND IT WAS NEVER ANABEL.

There is a little girl that is often cited to appear a lot at Spencer's Battle Palace. Here's her dialogue:

"Ehehe! I can tell what POKÈMON are thinking! Please! Can I see your POKÈMON?" + "That's silly! An EGG is asleep! I can't talk to it!"

Supplementary NPC dialogue:

"How charming! That little lady claims she can understand POKÈMON!" Beyond this, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald has an unfortunate Psychic Trainer generic NPC that looks like this:

So the anime writers might have put two and two together that someone who is mysterious and has purple hair MUST be a Psychic type specialist.

Otherwise, the only dialogue in relation to Anabel has absolutely zero implications that she is or was ever psychic to begin with. Which takes me to...

4.Did they change Anabel's personality?

YES.

AND IT'S BAD.

First of all, Lucy got it so much worse. NPCs describe her as a "Scary trainer," with a particular incident causing an NPC to retell their bad encounter with her:

"A while back, I met this older girl at the BATTLE PIKE. She had these eyes that were scary in a real ornery way. She got all furious: "Will you quit eating!" Then she whaled on me. It was a hair-raising kind of scary experience, sure enough."

Another NPC, one who deals in rumors, also titles her as the "Scary Trainer of the Battle Pike."

And she is scary! She doesn't hold back! She tells you firmly that she fought her way to her title, and she IS SUPER PISSED that some kid like you just beat her, telling you to just leave her sight already.

Ahem. IN THE ANIME, Lucy's anime counterpart is kinder and friendlier, probably because kids are watching. But all of her sharp edge is just kinda gone. What's worse, she is so commonly known for a gag in which she was the first woman to "reciprocate" Brock's affections.

For a gag. Because she just liked his close eyes look, as her anime counterpart collects squinty eyed Pokemon like Cyndaquil and Skitty.

Also, Brock is 15. Lucy is stated to be an adult woman in Masters, plus she's pretty tall. The anime is known to de-age characters sometimes but... Echk.

Onto Anabel... Oh sweet Anabel-- Just like Lucy, Anabel's edge was dulled into just being some generic sweet girl for her counterpart. As we know in the games, Anabel is not shy to telling you just how she feels about you; she is not impressed by the rumors she has heard of you, and even when you lose to her in the first battle, she will straight up call it 'disappointing.' She expected nothing and was still disappointed.

Here's some NPC dialogue involving Anabel:

Ace Trainer: "Man! Oh man! I've never lost once before! But I got wiped out with no saving grace at all! And then I'm told I don't have any talent?! Man!" NPC next to Ace Trainer: "This guy ran into a horribly tough TRAINER while he was on the BATTLE TOWER challenge. Now look at him... You need to be cautious if you ever decide to go to the BATTLE TOWER."

Also, Anabel apparently is said that when she's using a fucking Snorlax, Alakazam, and Entei on you, she's trying to "measure up her opponent." When she's serious, she uses Raikou, Snorlax, and Latios.

SHE'S USING AN ENTEI TO MEASURE YOU UP BEFORE BRINGING OUT BIGGER GUNS???

... Anabel in the anime was a joke. Her counterpart was made a glorified psychic type gym leader with none of the very sharp personality she had before. Perhaps kids would have hated a girl who shot down Ash the moment he stepped into her tower. Honestly she could have given him the same treatment Nanu did MAAAAANY seasons later.

But no. Had to be sweet and kind. And had to have a Metagross that dies to a Tauros using Take Down and she also was given an Espeon to replace Snorlax? An Espeon which was just "girly version of Ash's Pikachu" because it had Zap Cannon, Iron Tail, and Quick Attack WHICH IS SUCH A BAD MOVEPOOL FOR ESPEON GOOD LORD.

And of course, the elephant in the room that this version of Anabel's only fucking thing that people remember is that she had a crush on Ash. Why? Because May was being rewritten to have a thing with Drew so Ash needed a "romance"(?) for some reason. Not like it even went anywhere or was ever needed? They had no romantic interactions and it was basically a last minute reveal that she gained feelings for him just out of nowhere. Ultimately, Anabel never came back, and this entire point was practically retconned or erased from existence as OTHER girls later down the line would fill the "romantic undertones" role for the season/series, each one making the former fucking meaningless.

Plus, Anabel and Lucy in Emerald are both referred to as "Older Girls", possibly a localization of "Oneesan", with Anabel being a bit taller than May and Brendan in Emerald, so her original appearance was most likely at the very least a teenager older than the protags? Not that it's TOO bad echk but... CHRIST. WHAT WAS THE POINT? WHY???

The only point for Lucy and Anabel to have pointless crushes and character changes to be appealing and sweet and kind is because "Boys only like girls who are cute and like them and aren't combative."

let's be fucking REAL HERE THIS IS ALSO WHY ANABEL WASN'T THE LEADER OF THE BRAINS and she never kept her original pokemon and ARGH. THAT ISN'T ANABEL THAT'S JUST A SKIN WALKER.

salt over im so angry good lord. People thought this was Anabel for YEARS. Can you believe it??

5.Why was the Hoenn Battle Frontier in Kanto?

Firered and Leafgreen promotion :'y Had to be made a Kanto thing to "mix the elements" of FRGL and Emerald. This was hilariously walked back on when Ash revisited the Frontier in Journeys... Now exactly in Hoenn and appearing exactly as it did in the games with none of the frontier brains actually appearing.

You can tell they totally have no regrets about doing it the other way. :))))

6.Why did Anipoke do so many changes?

Not out of malicious intent.

The pokemon anime was always primarily made for kids. It's going to have cheerful adventures, and I can see why perhaps Lucy shouldn't be a scary woman on screen or why an adult like Brandon would be easier to see as the "big leader" of the brains due to being an older man.

Lots of decisions were made with kids in mind... Anabel's competitive and strategic nature would never have been as showy as "heehoo Brandon has THREE LEGENDARIES that means he's the strongest!"

Due to mostly boys watching Pokemon.... Girls got a really bad hand. Girls were apparently written to be changed with each new game series and are probably most remembered by being love interests. This is why no one talks about Greta-- She didn't have a romance. She wasn't tugging at the growing mind's "maybe girls aren't so icky" brain cells, idk.

And frankly, the Battle Frontier would just be boring otherwise, I guess. It's very much an older kid/adult set of facilities for advanced players, and Ash Ketchum is not an advanced player.

He is the representation of the little casual kid who believes in the power of friendship. He's not going to use competitively viable Pokemon he's going to use his iconic starters that sometimes don't evolve because they're cute and have a lot of character as their smaller forms. He's not going to climb a tower of high level trainers nor understand what EVs and IVs are. Hell he usually loses championships because he needs to be moved to the next region to start anew all over again.

So... They wrote the Battle Frontier as just. A glorified Kanto Gym Challenge, as they have done. They looked at the characters and their Pokemon and wrote alternate versions of them all to fit a series that is very kid oriented.

Things needed to make sense for kids. Older adult guys are the leaders, girls get crushes on boys, and Pokemon isn't about competitive play but the power of friendship to overcome all odds.

And unfortunately, because so many players were young and didn't get competitive battling, that was the only thing Anabel and the Frontier Brains were known for. Not their original games; but the heavily revised versions made because they needed to fit a children's TV show.

I have been told that "otaku" has an incredibly negative connotation, but Kyo, Kaoru and even Toshiya to such an extent are profound fans of manga/anime/Godzilla/you name it. I did a compilation post on Kyo's references to cultural series, let me grab it...

Kaoru has drawn manga character heads on a Tora no Ana menu for instance, and I think I remember Toshiya posting about the Slam Dunk movie recently and some other series? Aside from the Dio or Dragon Ball character head that was drawn in his meeting room where he took a selfie.

Die is more obsessed with baseball and wrestling, and Shinya is a bit all over the place hah.

Young Bad Education (Dayoo): I fell in love with Mizusawa’s eyes on the cover and bought the volume in Japanese years ago without an ounce of idea what the story was about. No regrets. Young Bad Education and its continuation Young Good Boyfriend will feed your soul. You can read it on Manga Planet (Futekiya).

Hitorijime My Hero (Memeco Arii): This title is a classic so you might have already seen it but just in case. Hitorijime My Hero has an anime adaptation as well (I’m anime-only) and the manga has a spin-off with the side couple as far as I know. The height difference is less pronounced here but if you’re like me and you love delinquents as well, this will be your jam.

The Trees in Spring (Nakaoka Naka): I’m kind of cheating but I’ll do anything to recommend this title! MCs here are a teacher and student, but the teacher isn’t teaching the student, they meet each other in a different way. I have reviewed this title before and take any chance I can get to recommend it, so there you go!

Age gap + teacher/student

Warbler, Sing of Spring (Nago Nayuta): I felt like they don’t have height difference (and checked the first chapter again) but the MCs are always drawn in weird angles so I’m not sure. Another title with the delinquent sprinkled on top. Really enjoyed reading this, Nago Nayuta’s works have a cuteness I like and the uke in Warbler is kind of unhinged xD Love him!

The Neighbor I Desire (Makoto): This one started off a bit weird for me but I can assure you it’s super cute! I have written a review before so if you want more details, here you go.

The Good Teacher (Eeej): Another title I reviewed before. It’s pretty, fun but short and while the plot is not this series’ strongest point, I think it’s worth giving a shot.

Age gap + height difference

Love for Sale (Dal Hyeon-ji): It’s official, you guys. I will literally disintegrate if I don’t recommend Love for Sale, the doctor said it not me. But honestly, do yourself a solid one and read it if you still haven’t. The pinnacle of ultimate goodness. I wrote on LfS before but since the post contaşns spoilers and is more about sugar dating than a review, I’ll spare you the link. On Lezhin.

Love Me Doctor (ANA): Another series I constantly recommended on Twitter and got a couple of unassuming, kind-hesrted people to read it with me as well. Focuses on a university student and a urology doctor he had tovisit for his ED. If you’re comfortable reading a title where a doctor kind of uses his position to get to know a patient and stepping over boundaries, please give it a chance! TOTALLY worth the time. On Lezhin.

On or Off (A1): Can’t say I understood the drama with the artist and the series being wrapped up rather quickly, but I read this popular webtoon with joy! Not as big of a fan as the rest of the BL fans but if youdig these two tropes I think it’s worth checking out. On Tappytoon, but I think TOKYOPOP has released it in print.

Metro (Chika Hongo): This is more of a dramatic title, where a high school student is being touched regularly by the same man on the train and he likes it, until one day he follows him home upon being invited. If you prefer a story that’s laced with trauma and flawed characters, this is for you! On Manga Planet.

Pound Cake on a Sunday (Amida Shizuku): Man this series is SUPER funny that I had to reread today! A father and son lives alone after the mother’s passing and one day, out of the blue, the father starts complimenting the new transfer to the company about how he’s so beautiful or saying how shiny his hair is. Is his father gay? Did he finally lose it? Read and find out! Very different from your usual BL, worth your time!

Bonus - I’m a Dom and I Want You To Stroke My Head (KINACO): Has dom/sub universe (a big fan) height difference as well, but it’s a teacher x teacher pairing.

PREVIEW - LGBTQ Manga Review - Sirius: Twin Stars

Sirius: Twin Stars is the second manga from Spanish Yuri artist Ana C. Sánchez. As with Alter Ego, her previous work, Tokyopop publishes it in English under its LOVE x LOVE and International Women of Manga line. Similarly to Alter Ego, this oneshot tells a dramatic, if somewhat contrived, romance between two young women with surprising depth and artistic merit. And yet, as long as we are compare the two, I find I enjoy Sirius far more than its predecessor. The manga improves on Alter Ego in almost every way, from the characters and their connection to its pacing and artwork. And considering that Alter Ego is not by any means a low-quality manga, I awarded it a six out of ten, after all, the comparison further cements Sirius’ quality.

Sirius begins as Dani, a teenage or very young adult tennis prodigy and daughter of a former champion, is relocated to her family’s villa by the sea to recover after an as-of-yet unspecified tragedy. As they drive along the shore, Dani catches sight of a beautiful and bright woman carrying a telescope, Blanca.

hese opening panels are some of the best in the manga, establishing Dani’s early determination and drive to become a tennis legend like her mother, the collapse of that “unattainable childhood ideal,” and the surly cynicism that has overtaken the once exuberant girl. Her gaze, narrowed and turned downward, is contrasted wonderfully by Blanca’s joyful and open observance of the beach and beautiful blue sky. Although they have yet to meet, the dynamic between the two main characters and the inevitable struggle between their optimistic and shattered worldview is immediately apparent, setting the stage for their relationship.

A few pages of this introduction depict a surreal and imaginative scene drenched in symbolism, its meaning becoming clearer throughout the story. As a figure of Dani walks a narrow, crocked yet direct path towards her goal, a distant conflux of light that dominates her focus, the road behind her starts to crumble, signifying both the degrading relationship she and her mother and coach had throughout her career and Dani’s loss of innocence and passion that occurred before events of the story. I love having manga as palate cleansers because they're so fun. The Graham Effect would've been a 4-star had the ending been different but alas! I'm still conflicted), Grown by T*ffany J*ckson (An AMAZING READ), and Heartsick by Ch*lsea C*in (give me hannibal lecter but make her a woman; we accept woman's wrongs here) INSPIRATION : BOYYYYY I am heavily, heavily inspired by the music I'm listening to in the moment, so here's a few albums that have my current Brain Rot™ for the blog. tl;dr: i love messy people ↪ Dead Club City - N*thing But Thieves (biggest blog inspo RN) ↪ Dawn FM - The W*eknd ↪ After Hours - The W*eknd ↪ Lemonade - B*yonce STORY BEHIND URL : ↪ based on the song "City Haunts" by N*thing But Thieves; the album, DEAD CLUB CITY, has a loose plot based in the fictional city that the album's named after, and City Haunts is the end of one of the character's story lines from the album. The vague premise of "City Haunts" is that the character we are following in this context is choosing to stay in Dead Club City, letting themselves succumb to the madness and vices that keeps them tied to the city. Which these eight characters on the blog have some sort of Vice/Virtue that they've succumbed to that they need to climb out of (or not, I promote character detractment instead of growth). ↪ the url is also a reference to a "haunt" on multiple levels - a) a place frequented by a specific person or group of people, b) to continually seek the company of, or c) to stay around or persist; for all the characters on this blog, I feel like each of them are going their own "haunt", whether they are doing the haunting themselves or they continue to linger / stagnante in a place they shouldn't. They're all haunting this so-called "Dead Club City" and they have to figure out what to do there... Plus, the url looks cool. FUN FACT ABOUT ME : I've been one of the top performers at my job for the past 2+ years which is apparently achievement. Sales is a scam. Don't do it kids.

Anastasia “Ana” Read had escaped onto the pages of fantasy books for as long as she could remember. From the likes of Lewis Carroll and L. Frank Baum to fantastical Japanese manga like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura, she’d always found comfort in the stories of ordinary girls finding themselves through exploring worlds of magic and mystery.

The day she received her own wand, therefore, was a day the aspiring writer had trouble describing through anything other than the written word. Ana didn’t think she could ever have coherently articulated all of the feelings she experienced in that moment, even if she’d tried.

The surprise. The excitement, the power -- the potential. The feeling that you had liquid fire dancing in your veins, and yet it didn’t hurt -- it was only invigorating. Like you could go running and dancing -- maybe even take flight, just from the feeling!

The warmth. The companionship, the completeness, the acceptance. The feeling that you were suddenly so much more than you were before, and who you were always meant to be. Was this what self-love felt like? Even just in flickers? If so, was it hardly a wonder why those blessed with self-confidence walked so tall?

The vindication. The reassurance that this was not a dream -- that you weren’t just some freak -- that you were special, and that there were others like you, many others! That they’d likewise felt alone and friendless and uncomfortable in their own skin, just as you did...but that now, you didn’t have to hide. You didn’t have to, nor should anyone else. And soon...soon, you’d feel strong enough to make sure no one else ever grew up as lonely and lost as you did.

Ana may have been incredibly quiet upon receiving her wand from Ollivander’s (as she often was), but her heart was aflame and her mind danced with surrealist dreams of what other amazing things could be in store for her. What glorious adventures she herself could go on, as Dorothy Gale and Tsukino Usagi did in her favorite books...

Her magic had been truly awakened -- and with it, dreams of heroism that swept this taciturn idealist up like a romantic fantasy.

Introducing myself and giving an explanation.

Hi everyone! 🙋🏻‍♀️

My name is Ana, but you can call me An or Annie.

I'm Mexican.🇲🇽

I like many things like animals, read history, classic novels, esoteric stuff and magic, manga, watch anime, belly dance, music, tv shows and movies, videogames.

Some of my favorite things are:

Animals like felines and canines (ALL OF THEM!), bats, hummingbirds, crows, rabbits, bears.

History:Ancient Egypt (everything about that time), and other historical periods (Middle ages, Ilustration era, Victorian era).

About the cultures of my country I love the Aztec (Mexica) culture, Mayan culture, Toltec culture and others.

My favorite books are:

The strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Dracula by Bram Stoker.

Other books I love that are on Spanish are "Cuentos de la selva" (Jungle tales) by Horacio Quiroga

"El Diosero" by Francisco Rojas González .

About the Esoteric stuff, I'm a Tarot and Oracle reader, I learn and practice Reiki, I love quartz, rocks and minerals for spiritual, magic and therapeutic uses, talismans and charms, candles, dowsing with pendulum, astrology.

Anime I like Yu-Gi-Oh, InuYasha, Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, Card captor Sakura, Record of Ragnarok, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z (just to mention a few).

I'm not a belly dancer, but I really enjoy belly dance (oriental dance). I practice at home by the moment. I hope I could go to a dance academy someday.

I like the Egyptian style. Particularly, the Golden era period. Some of my favorite dancers are Souhair Zaki, Samia Gamal, Tahiya Carioca.

Music: I like the music of the past century, specially since the 70's till 90's. I like disco and funk, classic rock, hard rock, glam metal, heavy metal, but also the New Wave or Pop music.

My favorite singer is Michael Jackson.

And my favorite band is Guns N ' Roses.

Tv shows and Movies I watch a lot. I like animated shows and movies, action and superhero, some comedies, medical drama, police drama, supernatural shows.

My favorite films are Alice in wonderland (animated and Tim Burton's version), The Prince of Egypt, Beauty and the Beast, The Mummy and The Mummy returns, Hitch, School of Rock, The Nightmare before Christmas, Sam Raimi's Spiderman films, Star Wars franchises.

My favorite shows are Looney tunes, Powerpuff girls, Arrow , Friends, The Big Bang Theory, House M.D , E.R, Law and Order Special Victims Unit, White collar, Supernatural, Charmed.

This last year, I've been watching a lot of K-drama. I'm really enjoying it.

Videogames like Castlevania ( I like both, videogames and the Netflix TV shows), Halo, Mortal Kombat, Devil May Cry for example.

I had a Tumblr account with the same name before. It was fully dedicated as a fan blog of Castlevania. Many of the things that I had were some of my silly memes about Castlevania Netflix (most of them about Alucard).

I deleted the account because I was very inactive here and I felt a little bit limited by just post about Castlevania.

Sometimes I reblogged the nice drawings of friends that are here, sometimes I shared about ancient Egyptian history, but not so often.

After deleting the account, I didn't feel well about leave this place, so, I decided to create an account and start all over again.

I want to use this place to connect with people that enjoy the same things that I do.

So, I hope find again the cool friends who are still here, but at the same time, find new friends.

With the time, I'll be re-posting the material of Castlevania that I posted before, just in case there's someone interested.

For the last, I want to share some pictures of my favorite things.
