i weighed myself this morning and i am 199!! i know this is a small win, and later in the day ill be over 200 with water and some food, but i am just so happy to see progress!
Constantly asking for pics, constantly saying things to get control over me and gain my trust (e.g. "I'd be proud if you tossed it", "I'm not going to judge you")
Some major red flags from the start:
1. In my experience, if anyone's comment contains "dm me" it's usually bad news. Could be fine sometimes but personal experience it's a red flag.
2. Right off the bat they asked for pics.
3. Asking for your age (especially when they don't say theirs to you).
4. Saying things to reassure you and gain your trust or gain control. Such as how they said "it sounds like you don't want to commit to getting better ):" as a way to make me feel guilty.
5. The fact that they mentioned coaches at all is a red flag.
6. Asking for my bmi, weight, and height.
7. Their account is basically empty. No pfp, no background, no name, no bio, 1 post, 3 likes. Them following multiple people means nothing.
8. Constantly asking for pictures after repeatedly being told no.
9. Becoming defensive when I got angry for them making an insult/"joke(?)" instead of apologizing when I was clearly not in the mood for comments like that
10. If they immediately shut down after you denying pictures (e.g. "Whatever." "I don't think this will work then" etc.) then they are 100% only looking for pics from you. No doubt about it.
11. Continuously assuming things about my situation. Most likely trying to find a way to seem smarter and trusted. It's easier to answer yes or no when they assume something than answer an open ended question about something vulnerable.
12. Trying to relate and seem knowledgeable about what's happening to you. (e.g. "and SAME. So tired this whole weekend. Sucks." & "I know how addictive it is")
13. The sentence "I'm def not a creep" SCREAMS creep vibes.
14. Obviously them flat out admitting it is a huge red flag if that's not obvious.
15. Asking for my name and many questions about me that are easily answered in my intro post. These are easy to find the answer to. I find it a red flag that they need to ask me and don't bother to check my bio or intro.
Try to avoid people with these traits (especially if they have multiple). Some of these are not a big deal if it's just one of them, but in the end, trust your gut.
Apparently yoga burns a ton of calories. I never even thought of yoga to burn cals. It said on google you can burn like 400-600 in an hour?? Even half an hour can burn around 200 cals. Of course this is all depends on your weight. Yesterday I did 40 minute yoga session from a video. It really wasn’t that bad and definitely didn’t feel like 40 mins but it was. I hate working out so this is great for me.
Does anybody have any exercises or like videos or playlists on youtube to help me lose weight? The exercise that I am currently using, have stopped working, like they don't feel as effective to me anymore and it's like every time I look in the mirror, I'm not losing any weight
was trying to figure out why tf my arms and legs are shrinking, but my stomach is still massive
so, im gonna nerd out for a bit…
there are two receptors in fat cells - Alpha and Beta receptors. beta receptors burn the fat cells immediately when you aren’t getting enough energy from your diet.
alpha receptors tell your body to hold onto fat for future use. every cell has both of these receptors, but in all of them, one receptor is more dominant.
for some people, more of their cells have alpha receptors, for others, they have more beta receptors. and, different parts of your body have more of one receptor (hence my stubborn belly fat)
the key to burning the alpha-based cells is catecholamimes. these travel through your blood stream and attach to the receptors.
here’s what ive learned in my research:
-> insulin levels are important: low carb diets and intermittent fasting are key to keeping insulin levels low
-> blood flow is also important: stimulating blood flow to certain areas where you hold onto fat can help
-> exercise: you can’t burn fat in one area, but you can use exercise to move blood to different areas of your body. moving your body just a little bit every day can increase your blood flow overall.
from what im hearing, the way that the ed diet works is by fasting for long periods of time and by eating small meals. any food spikes your insulin and doesn’t access your alpha receptors. so, keeping meals small and/or eating within a small window of time each day, you fall more easily into fat burning mode, even with areas of stubborn fat.
Here r some workouts you can do in the bathroom stall that you have space for but also don't include jumping or wtv cus sometimes if i ate lunch i feel like i needa try to work it off, or just wanting to burn more caIs in general lol :) Feel free to add more in reposts or comments
