TDW News: 03/30/2021

March 30th marks the 3-year anniversary of when my 1st original novel, TDW: The Midnight Thief, was released on Wattpad and marked the start of me turning my dreams of sharing the stories swirling around in my head with the world into a reality. This novel started out as a silly little fanfic I wrote just for fun before being fleshed out and revamped into a full-on representation of what I want to do for the rest of my life. Honestly, TDW has become a child of sorts to me. Something I pride myself in constantly, even when I struggle with the occasional bout of writer’s block, a lack of motivation/inspiration, or a moment of intense doubt and second-guessing.

On July 23rd of 2019, I decided to stop posting chapters of TMT to Wattpad in order to really buckle down and focus on drafting out the whole story in mind head. In the midst of finishing high school and dealing with the repercussions of the pandemic, I devoted a lot of my time to rewrite the chapters of TMT that were already posted and draft out the rest of the novel. It was honestly a struggle, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I hadn’t made the amount of progress I was aiming to complete back in 2020. But, progress is still progress, and I did just that.

It’s now 2021. Along with working to finish drafting TMT, a small goal of mine for this year is to try to be more active on social media so I can promote my work more efficiently.

To do so, alongside having a TDW blog on Tumblr, the series now has an official Instagram account! Head over to thedimensionwalkers and give it a follow. I plan on posting some behind-the-scenes content surrounding TDW and the progress of TMT, as well as some old art made for the earlier stages of the series and some fun trivia about the characters and the world of the Dimension Walkers. Maybe in the future I’ll also host some IG lives where readers can ask me questions while I show you my writing process. 😉
