AU where Marcy lives "thanks" to Andrias but ended up with no other option than to roll with the faking of her own death and to secretly work for the king

Who is your favorite Amphibia character? Who is your least favorite character?
My favorite character is Marcy because I connect with her the most, though Anne is a really close second. King Andrias is my least character right now because of what happens in the season 2 finale, but he’s really the only character I dislike. I love every other character.

From what we've seen of the Wartwoodians and Newtopians, I think the Earth townies are going to be at least decent characters and the ones seen in the intro suggests they'll actually factor into the plot:
-Archaeology girl: Works at the museum in the intro, which may have hints about Amphibian-Human relations in the past or Dr. P's whereabouts
- Blue haired girl: I've seen people speculate that she's a scientist because of the coat but the scrabbly patches gives me the impression she's actually a librarian which is of course important considering a library was where the book that contained information on the box was found.
- Anne's parents: Obvious
- Engineer girls: Could be the ones to repair Frobo, the finale made a point of showing they brought his body with them to Earth.
-Old Man: Could either be a running gag about how he looks like HP or is connected to Dr. P, would be interesting if he confirmed the theory that Amphibians have humans counterparts on Earth/vice versa.
-Agents: Probably the recurring antagonists for the first half of the season, maybe they have secret information about Amphibians on Earth in the past or know of Dr P. They could also team up with Anne and the Amphibians in the second half of the season to help deal with the invasion.
I hope they'll end up useful, but I honestly just don't have any interest in them. I'd rather spend precious screentime on Sasha and Marcy and Andrias in Amphibia over developing new characters, which I generally think is a very bad idea in the last season of the show. Introducing a bunch of new characters now makes me worried about whether or not we'll have enough time to resolve already established plot threads in a satisfying way.

As much as we all want Marcy out of the pickle jar I think we can agree Sasha is gonna he the next one to go calamity mode, I can see her once again a renegade but this time with somewhat of a home defending wartwood because she knows deep down if Wartwood isn’t standing when Anne comes back she will never forgive sasha and give Sasha likely believes Anne is all she has left well, that’s just enough desperation for her to start going buck wild with Barrel’s war hammer on some robots
I am DOWN for Sasha becoming the town defender of Wartwood. They're hesitant to trust her at first, for understandable reasons, but slowly, as she fights against Andrias and his robots, she earns their trust, and then their respect. She slowly starts to bond with them, learning why Anne cares about this place so much while they learn that there's a lot more to Sasha than their terrible first impression of her. Maybe when Anne comes back, she initially is rude to Sasha, but the townsfolk actually speak up on her behalf to tell Anne how much Sasha has done for them. That would be so sweet.

After Sasha and maybe Anne (when if she’s there) rescue Marcy they head to Wartwood to be healed by Maddie and Tooty the town healer. I’d like to think Marcy at least made a genuine connections with Maddie.
Maddie is probably the closest Marcy has to a real Amphibian friend, even if they only knew each other for a short time. That's... honestly kind of sad. For being the one who actually wanted to go to Amphibia, she hasn't really made many personal connections.

So how much time do you think passed on earth? Probably just enough that their families called in a missing persons case. Do you think Anne will get interrogated for Marcy and Sasha’s whereabouts? The Boonchuys are aware of the Plantar family so they might understand but the Wus and Waybrights might be another story.
It was about six months that they spent in Amphibia, so for the sake of convenience I'll assume the same amount of time passed on Earth.
Yeah, Anne will definitely have a lot of questions thrown at her that won't have easy answers. Putting aside that the Wus and the Waybrights might not be stellar parents, how do you tell someone that their daughter is dead/might be dead? Anne doesn't know that either of them are alive, and she has no reason to think that they are beyond hopeful delusions. It'll be hard to explain all of that.

So, you think it's pretty crazy how they started Amphibia with Anne living in the Plantars' basement but in season 3, it's gonna swap with the Plantars living in Anne's basement?
It's poetic cinema at its finest to see the tables entirely flip. Now Anne has the high ground of knowledge about how their world operates, while the Plantars are gonna be clueless, save for what details she explained to them earlier in the series. Hmmm, I'm not sure if they'll be in a basement like Anne though, but that would be very fitting and funny if it were the case.
I've been hearing concerns from some people about what they could accomplish writing wise in the human world against Amphibia's more varied and vibrant environments. I'm confident though they'll pull it off greatly after seeing how well they pumped up the drama in Season 2's run. Not to mention, we're gonna be getting more ideas of what each respective girl of the trio's lives are like. Anne's gonna have to fess up eventually about Amphibia, along with the danger they're all in from King Andrias' wrath. There's so much to look forward like Sprig meeting Anne's mom, Anne giving her that butterfly from Hopping Mall, learning more about Marcy & Sasha's parents, and seeing how they'll all the take news about what's been happening.
One show I'd point to that made great use of its real world setting was Digimon Adventure. We got to see good dramatic pay off and even foreshadowing for the other kids future dreams. There's a reason why a lot fans, myself included, of that series look back fondly on the Myotismon arc, or rather Vamdemon if you wanna be technical, considering we got to see stuff like Izzy have a heart to heart with his adoptive parents, more insight shed on Matt & TK's mannerisms of how they cope or struggle against their parents divorce, and watch Joe become more courageous in his growth of wanting to help others, fueling his ambition to become a doctor.
Going from a surreal, yet imaginative, setting into the real world can be something of a risky move arguably in a story, but the execution is naturally everything. Digimon Adventure passed that test with flying colors, so if the writers play their cards right, then we'll get some very juicy drama in Season 3's run of episodes.

I’m thinking about imagining a Dark Amphibia AU with the main genres being Survival Horror and Dark Fantasy. The premise being that the Calamity box still transported the girls to Amphibia but the frog Isekai death world is mixed with a dread-filled survival world with undead creatures roam the wild lands at night during he red moon (zombies with rusted swords and decayed armor) and evil spirits while unholy creatures roam the wildlife during the daytime.
I also would like to have the girls together instead of separated but it could work better separated but I personally just love having them together more.
It’s a battle for survival for resources to every resident of Amphibia
Title is Called “Amphibia Souls AU ” or Amphibia Age of Darkness. What do you think? Any tips on how to make the concept more interesting?
Oh guess I forgot about the fact I already asked you about my Darker Amphibia AU idea before, sorry. But still any tips could still be useful, talking about anything from survival horror media to be used in general.
To be honest, I don't really know much about the survival horror genre, or dark fantasy really. I do think it would be a really interesting way to explore each of their characters, how they'd interact and clash with each other and the world around them. Sasha is pragmatic and focused on keeping Anne and Marcy safe, so she's willing to do anything to protect them. Marcy would likely go along with this mindset, having a tendency to bow to Sasha's wishes as well as thinking it's just the most logical way to survive. But Anne wouldn't really like this. She doesn't like the idea of hurting anyone or stealing or anything like that. Sasha and Marcy don't really like it either, but they think it's necessary. Focusing on the conflict between them as well as their struggle for survival would be very interesting I feel. Add moral dilemmas into it. Maybe they come across a house where someone is living, but the person is away. Sasha wants to rob the house for food and other essentials, but Anne wants to wait for them to come home to ask for help. What is the correct choice? How could it strain their relationship? What if the person who's house it is is someone we recognize?
Also, what would Wartwood be in this world? Is it a safe haven, a decrepit old village where everyone is out for themselves, or just a hollowed out ruin? It would be cool to see alternate versions of the Amphibia characters, maybe ones that are more morally ambiguous than their canon counterparts.
That's all I've really got for now. I hope it helps!
