On this day of freedom, let's talk about how bald eagles are queer!

It starts with a female eagle named Hope and a male named Valor I. The two settled down to neat together, however Valor I wasn't a great dad. He did show up to incubate the eggs and basically never came around.

In comes another male, Valor II. He immediately did what a good eagle dad is supposed to, incubate, maintain the best, all that. This lead to him becoming Hope's new mate.

Here's where it gets interesting, Valor I didn't seem to mind and actually stuck around! Eventually Hope started mating with both of them, and Valor I even learned to be a good dad!

Unfortunately in 2017 Hope was killed by intruding eagles, but! The two male's actually stuck together and successfully raised their chicks!

Soon enough a new female named Starr came along and joined the two, and now she mates with both males every season!

This arrangement allows for the eagles to have a much more successful rate of raising chicks and fighting off other predators!

This particular story isn't the only one! Bald eagles have been seen in multiple arrangements including two females and one male!

Y’all ever wonder that since AM was specifically an American war machine before all the Mastercomputers were hooked up together,

Does he just have a lot of American specific propaganda stored in his files that he just…can’t get rid of or else he can’t function? Like once every ten years or so he forgets to skip his 4th of July celabration protocol and the survivors have to deal with the most obnoxious propaganda filled show as possible. And during the beginning of his existence he had to figure out how to turn off his pledge of allegiance alarm

And because of this the only thing he hates even slightly as much as humans is bald eagles since he has SO MANY VIDEOS of them to make videos of them to make propaganda. Also this is my reason to why we never see a gun from AM (in the book + radio drama), they’re too “America-core” to him and also way too plain

Also bonus thing, occasionally he’ll catch himself humming or ranting to the American anthem and gets pissed, AND THEN GETS EVEN MORE PISSED THAT HE COULD EVEN TELL HE WAS

the "strange place" could be a private wildlife collector? i know the buying and selling of wild animals as pets can be pretty bad in the uk (or at least it is w/ birds of prey? that's abt what i know)

OH that's a good idea, that's going to be one of my top choices for if I DO end up needing to change the "twoleg den" in the upcoming super edition. Private wildlife collectors are a HUGE problem because the laws on simply owning exotic animals (as long as they're not covered by the Dangerous Wild Animals Act) are suuuuper lax in the UK, and the Zoo Licensing Act only applies if you accept general admission.

(and even then, specifically, you can take admission a limited amount of times a year. James Wellington's Animal Welfare Nightmare Extravaganza, beloved winter tradition, £25 each, kiddies of edible height get in free)

Birds in particular are a huuuge issue because there's big oversights in the laws surrounding the keeping of birds of prey. You don't actually need a license to own any birds except ostriches and cassowaries, or one of the five destructive invasive birds. Your pet eagle just needs to be registered so they know you didn't snatch it from the wild. Licenses will only apply if you're breeding, selling, or using it for falconry.

Maybe I could even tie this hypothetical antagonist guy to Sharptooth/One Eye/The God of Summer's previous human incarnation, on some off-chance the series ends up using this villain again. That could be kinda neat.
