Hi Mike!
Words can not explain how excited I am for The Fall of the House of Usher! I've begun rereading a lot of Poe in order to catch the little homages. It's looking like a great way to say Sayonara to Netflix!
I was wondering, the "Flanaganverse" has racked up so many "regulars" with Carla Gugino (whose role in Usher has me super stoked!), Henry Thomas, Rahul Kohli, and gosh that list can go *energizer bunny voice* on and on and on. Will we be seeing some of their faces again as you move over to Amazon (projects permitting)? I know that circle keeps growing, I mean you have freaking Luke Skywalker, but seeing the familiar faces in your projects really feels like coming into a family reunion which is why I ask.
Definitely! These aren't just some of my favorite actors, they're some of my very best friends. A lot of us are family now. And it doesn't matter where I am, I'll always want to work with my family. So yes, you'll see a lot of familiar faces on the various new Amazon series... and anywhere else I happen to be working.

The Writers Guild will picket Amazon’s upcoming “Prime Day,” the retail giant’s biggest sales event of the year. Recasting it as “Crime Day,” the guild says it will take to social media to let the company know it “won’t let Amazon turn Hollywood into a gig economy with its Silicon Valley business practices.” The guild, whose strike is now in its 68th day, also will picket Amazon’s Culver Studios on Wednesday. “Big Tech companies like Amazon have taken advantage of changes in the industry business model to hollow out the middle class of our profession in pursuit of growing profits,” the WGA’s negotiating committee told members on Saturday. “With the rise of streaming, writers are asked to do more work in less time for less money.” The guild says its contract demands seek “reasonable protections that will guarantee that writing remains a sustainable career for current and future writers. For Amazon, the cost of our proposals is just $32 million per year, 0.006% of the conglomerate’s annual revenue.” “Amazon has gained a sizeable footprint in media in a short time by using the same anticompetitive playbook critical to its rise as a tech company,” the negotiating committee said in its latest communique. “It is positioning itself to be a new industry gatekeeper, growing through acquisitions and using its power to disadvantage competitors, raise prices for consumers, and to push down wages for writers. Unfortunately, our situation is not unique. Across the country, Big Tech has invaded nearly every industry, building gig economies where there were once sustainable careers. We are not alone in this fight.”

As Dreamworks's deal with Netflix for exclusive shows expires (they first signed a deal with Hulu for exclusives and now seem to be given shows to them and Peacock), shows have begun to leave the service en masse. However, due to the nature of staggered contracts, many of these shows will not be leaving Netflix for at least a year, while others may have several years left on the service. What's on Netflix did some calculations based on when the final seasons were added and came up with some removal dates for the shows -
Voltron: Legendary Defender (N Original)December 14, 2018 December 14, 2024
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (N Original)May 15, 2020 April 10, 2026
3Below: Tales of Arcadia (N Original)July 12, 2019 August 7, 2026
Wizards: Tales of Arcadia (N Original)August 7, 2020 August 7, 2026
Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia (N Original)May 25, 2018 August 7, 2026
There are plenty of other expiration dates on that list, but these are the big ones I noticed, mostly because they were attempts at franchise creation that fell completely flat. Voltron's big-budget Amazon movie is due for a 2025 release in a best-case scenario (worst-case scenario is more Robotech-style development hell) and with the rollout of a lot of classic Voltron merchandise including the oft-mentioned Voltron beer, the plan to erase VLD from everything come the film release is well underway. Dreamworks doesn't seem to mind, since they're still the video distributor for DOTU on behalf of World Events Productions, their name is on the Voltron beer.
She-Ra is a similar story. The franchise is also with Amazon via Dreamworks, for a live-action show directed by one of the directors of the Watchmen TV show. Hopefully, whoever plays Hordak can chew the scenery as hard as Jeremy Irons did. It probably will air sometime in 2025-2026 best case scenario as well, just in time to see SPOP eliminated from everything (something Mattel is only too happy to facilitate given their release of classic She-Ra figures for their Masterverse brand of toys).
Trollhunters was meant to be a franchise but despite a lot of big names attached to it, it went absolutely nowhere and everyone seems to have disavowed the whole thing after the ending. So it's just getting tossed to one side.
The internet means IP gets recycled and discarded faster and faster these days. And these are three examples of shows set to disappear from the face of the earth, to the glee of the license holders.

Hiiii! I hope your doing well!
I have a question. Mr. Neil says he's on strike. Is this strike until a certain date or will Mr. Neil quit whenever he wants? And there is one more thing. People started climbing on Mr. Neil. I know everyone is upset but some people overdo it and it's selfish. We need to stop before Mr. Neil warns us worse, just calm down (I'm heartbroken too but stop please)
Hiya! :) Mr. Neil will be on strike as long as the Writers Guild of America is on strike - and for that to end the studios need to negotiate with writers (so if you pen physical letter to Amazon and other studios to negotiate with the writers it will help :) <3 (Amazon Studios address is: AMAZON STUDIOS, 1620 26TH STREET SUITE 4000N, SANTA MONICA, 90404 United States)
And yes, no harrasing Neil or anyone! >:| <3 (Expressing your feelings on your blog aboutS2 through text and art is YES <3, expressing your feelings by harrasing Neil or others is NO. >:|)

"Let me guess, the AAs are self-soothing that Jensen is not announcing projects because he's not allowed to due to CMP deal with Amazon? If so, bullshit.  As long as he is available to work on the CMP/Amazon project, he can audition and accept any gigs to his heart's content."
Yes, they are. But not just them. At a con, Jared and Jensen talked about Jensen doing Walker, and Jared half-jokingly said they can't afford him Jensen said he'd do it for free but cannot due to his Amazon contract. Maybe he meant he can't commit to a linger arc, but in any case he made it seem like contractual reasons were to blame.
Uh huh. CMP deal with WB didn’t prevent Jensen from working on CBS Walker and giving himself cameos. Nor did it prevent him from working on ABC Big Sky as a regular that even gave him more real estate space on their promotional poster.
Phoebe Waller Bridges first three-year overall deal with Amazon was in September 2019.  During those three years Phoebe appears in HBO's Run and His Dark Materia (also shown on BBC) and Walt Disney's Indiana Jones and Dial of  Destiny.
JJ Abram's five-year deal with Warner Bros Discovery was in 2019. He also worked with on a Star Trek movie for Paramount Global, a Warner rival, because there was no exclusivity clause.
I have a real hard time believing that real producers/writers like Phoebe and JJ Abram didn't have exclusivity clause in their deals, but Jensen does? Not bloody likely!
Jared, as usual, was covering for Jensen on why he doesn't have a role on Walker (yet). There is a 50% chance that Jared asked on Jense's behalf but the producers said “no”. Jared does not have the power to hire his friends and family for Walker. They made a point to say that it was the showrunner who suggested Gen for the role of Emily, not Jared.
Nothing, I repeat, nothing is preventing Jensen from accepting acting jobs for non-Amazon projects. His deal with Amazon is producing contents, he is not required to be in front of the camera. Most actors with production companies are figureheads to attract investors due to their brand and/or popularity.

Is this a hot take or does everyone mostly agree with me?
Aziraphale may have thought “I can fix heaven and make a difference if I’m in charge” but is already “o fuck I’m gonna burn whatever I need to burn” when he heard “the second coming”?
The sound effect, the facial expression, the looking back to Crowley???
I don’t think S3 will open with Aziraphale needing to figure out heaven sucks, I feel like we are going to start with Aziraphale has been working as a double agent in heaven, working against the second coming, the whole time

Amazon reportedly offered Doug Liman and Jake Gyllenhaal the option to make ‘ROAD HOUSE’ for $60 million and get a theatrical release or take $85 million and go streaming only.

They chose the latter.
