gotta say, i do not like how lately i've been seeing posts from people who use a person having colorfully dyed hair as a sort of shorthand for "leftist who is actually secretly an asshole." like people making comments like "the girl with blue hair and perfect eyeliner wings is also the one who won't give up their seat for a disabled person on the bus". like we already have to deal with the right-wing fascists using "blue hair and pronouns" as a shorthand for "leftist (trans) person who is insufferable and oversensitive", can we please not turn brightly colored hair into a caricature in leftist circles as well. having brightly dyed hair is not some magic symbol of "person who claims to be a leftist but is actually secretly an asshole". it is a morally neutral trait. and while i'm not discounting anyone's experience with someone with brightly dyed hair who treated them badly, i think that turning it into some kind of shorthand for "asshole" is just going to ultimately hurt us more than it's going to help.

rediscovered your monster sora au and i have been having so many thoughts about it since, especially after reading the fics.

which makes me have to wonder "what is his living situation like later on?", like do sora and riku live together? does sora stay hiding from everyone else? do riku's parents learn about him? do any of the other children learn about him?

sorry for rambling i'm just absolutely in love with the concept. (very tempted to write something of this au >_>)

So, eventually Riku’s parents find out. And once they get over the shock of discovering what is essentially an alien in their son’s room, Sora becomes part of the family. He sleeps in Riku’s room <3

I’m still not sure if the rest of the island would ever find out (it would have to be after Kairi arrives), but Kairi definitely does (as Riku and Sora’s little kid brains are like “she’s also from another world maybe she knows Sora’s?”) and I think a friend of Riku’s mom finds out too? (With her being what would have been Sora’s mom if he wasn’t a monster. And she finds out cuz Sora gets super sick at one point and she’s like, a doctor or something)

And then eventually it just starts up with kh1

I really do love how much gansey enjoys dressing how he does.

when he tells blue that he likes her name just fine (but also likes the name jane), he reassures her by saying that "some of [his] favorite shirts are blue."

and when blue teases him for his brightly colored polo shirt at the abandoned church, he tells her, "aquamarine is a wonderful color, and i won’t be made to feel bad for wearing it,"

when he can't wear his favorite yellow sweater, his day is made additionally miserable in a brown sweater "that looked exactly on the outside like gansey felt on the inside"

he's so dramatic about his choice of clothing and I love him for it

on the occasion that we do read him to be wearing a loose t-shirt and jeans, he describes himself as slovenly, dressed distastefully to bury a body.

but he doesn't judge anybody else for wearing their regular clothes. in fact, he is constantly described to be especially attracted to blue when she's wearing some truly chaotic outfits.

he doesn't dress in his preppy-bright way to feel better than anybody, he likes the way he looks in the clothes that he chooses, regardless of how he is teased by his friends (in a way that i would even liken to blue, except his choices are more generally socially acceptable). and even though blue avoids looking at his shoes bc it makes her feel better about him as a person in trb, I like to think that she loves him in an all-encompassing way that includes his choice of clothing by the end of the series.

ok so imagine this. @hollewdz made a wonderful post about my adventures with superman where clark gets into kryptonite and it shrinks him. i have been rotating that post in my brain for the past 6 hours. me and my friend (@beepbopitsgt) have since been brainstorming!!! there are many types of canon kryptonite; pink, green, gold, black, the works. well i wanted to make a kryptonite that would amplify superman/kryptonians so much they would physically grow when in contact with it. i call it purple kryptonite because dr ivo's parasite suit (in the show) was purple and he grew when in contact with energy and it was. purple. thats crazy anyway here's clark in the middle of being in contact with the purple kryptonite and lois trying to calm him down
