Sorry if I sound rude Saying this but a woman wearing a short skirt and a cleavage isn't sexualized and acting as if thighs belly button and chest are sexual when they are just body part is the main problem of women not being able to dress how they want and to have t hide some body parts to not excite the male gaze. I agree that FEH is indeed using fanservice but saying that a woman wearing outfits exposing those body part is itself fanservice is wrong beyond limit, especially regarding the Edelgard design since it's very modest and anatomically wrong

Fictional characters are not people. They are tools.

What these units wear says nothing about what women should wear, but it does say quite a bit about FEH's artists and their target demographic. If you'd actually paid attention to that post, I was advocating for hornier male character art because that would allow FE's tastelessness to at least feel consistent.

Also, Zettai Ryouiki is the trope I was thinking of - sexualizing the gap of bare skin between a short skirt and stockings. I'm not going to pretend to understand why that's a thing - maybe it's sort of like the joke that Victorian Anglos got horny for exposed ankles? - but it apparently is, and winter Edelgard's got plenty of it.

I realize that part of Edelgard's sexual/romantic appeal is, ironically, that she's "modest" and unavailable to anyone but you the player(-as-Byleth), because straight men have that whole Madonna/whore complex thing going on where women or female characters who are perceived as too sexual or too experienced are somehow threatening or, worse, "used." There's also a TV Trope for that. Given my own experiences and the total absence of that sentiment in gay male culture, it's little wonder that some of my favorite modern FE female characters are Camilla and Manuela - because they've got obviously sexualized designs but are also written to be aware of their own appeal and how they make use of it.

However, you've really got to let go of that "My Girl Is Not a Slut" thing with Edelgard, because IS has no such reservations. Never mind the thigh gap winter alt, we've got

boob armor where previously there was none, for the alt players actually voted for,

a much softer and more human take on the Hegemon,

lying supine in a nightdress, and more exposed thigh courtesy of Cipher,

more exposed skin and basically a camel toe; I also know that Reddit threw a fit over this one in particular, because she's not muscular and/or scarred from the Agarthan experiments,

and an upskirt shot from Azure Gleam that lasts for two whole seconds, in the middle of a scenario where Edelgard is made to take orders from two older men and then reduced to a babbling child.

In the midst of any outrage over my pointing out more examples of IS treating Edelgard like a sex object, I'd like you to turn that feeling around and ask instead: Why does the camera never lovingly linger up a male character's clothes? Why are possessed male characters (ex. Conquest Takumi) never treated like helpless children? Why are there no Cipher cards of any male characters lounging around in nightwear giving the viewer bedroom eyes? When male characters become monsters (ex. Lyon with Fomortiis), why do their FEH versions look the same or even more monstrous?

Oh, wait. Is it because of this? I assume you also sent this.

Funny how when male characters are actually objectified in the same way, then and only then does it become stupid.

People get horny over Edelgard, and IS knows it. People also get horny over naked and mostly-naked men in ways that do not necessarily cater to straight male comfort, although fortunately for you I imagine IS doesn't seem to know or care about that. Take your wins where you can get them, and let the rest of us have our fun.

so while yall are waiting for the season 4 rewrite and wizards redesigns I've decided to post some ideas i had for a remake if fate the Winx saga. I've been working on a sort of rewrite but i gave up on it long ago because the point of that rewrite was to keep everything as intact as possible and still tell a good story.

long story short i failed : D miserably

so all my ideas amounted to was a few mood boards of the girl's looks, il run you through them :3

Bloom : 

her casual form is quite simple and monochromatic, I like to imagine my version of Bloom fixated on the idea of fairies so much that it became a sort of coping mechanism. thinking of herself as a fairy as a sort of confidence boost has been her go to so her look includes lots of pastels, cute skirts , simple shapes and butterfly motifs. her whole point is : mi like fairies , mi want to look cute :3.

her fairy form is low key a funny story XD basically in my cancelled rewrite, the only thing you get when you transform are your wings. making your outfit is a requirement in order to become a guardian fairy. its sort of like a uniform. it actively shows that you're using your magic and what your here to do. its not taken lightly. a fairy transforming to fight basically means: u, my friend, are fucked :D

this is done ether during your fairy education or right before graduation. and since in my version Enchantix vanished a long time ago, any Enchantix fairies lost the power and any fairies in training have lost the hope of receiving it your base form is treated like your final form since for many fairies of that past, it was. all fairies thus are told

"make your fairy form fancy as shit, people gatta look at you and piss themsleves bc of how badass you looks"

but since Bloom didn't get the memo she made hers incredibly simple, which low key makes her a laughing stock in Alfea. my plan was to use this to deepen hers and Stella's bond since ide like to imagine Stella would help her redesign her outfit XD also I'm diversifying the body types, Bloom is now skinny fat 

her form very closely based off of her OG form bc of that since their base form was quite simple.

Stella :

her casual form is very in line with the types of things her og counterpart would wear, since in my version Solaria would be called the crescent queendom  with fate version of Luna running it. were keeping the whole her mom is abusive thing but where changing a few things.

Stella grows into her own in the Winx club and thus begins showing off her sunny disposition which in a moon queendom is looked down upon. but her outfits would do a 180 once her mom is present. she's suddenly in dark blues, purples ,and silver.

her fairy form is her trying to morph herself to be exactly what her mother wants, everything is moon themed. again dark blues and silver everywhere. Also i changed her body type to being Chubby bc yes :3

Flora :

she's pretty straight forward, her fairy form and casual form follow the same theme of nature. I just made her main colour for her casual form sage while her transformation pink just like in the OG. also I kept her plus sized bc plus sized Flora was a great idea, and than they white washed her :,)

in terms of her fairy form, I leaned in to the cute pink girl horror rpg asthetic aka pocket mirror. i want her to be as custey as possible bc

oh boy her casual form was fun : D , i hate how they feminised her in the later seasons and took this as an opportunity to go FULL IN to the alt fashion she was meant to wear uwu she a lil alt girlie, she's quirky like that uwu.

her fairy form is based more on her culture but still has the edge of her alt fashion sense ^^ I've decided to keep her as skinny since most of the cast now are leaning heavily to the plus sized of the spectrum, I thought ide include the skinny girls in here too ^^ and when i say Skinny i don't mean an hour glass, i mean no boobs, no butt, no nata.

Tecna :

i decided to dive into the hacker aesthetic but make it fairy :3 her wings ( in her base form at least) don't flap, they put her body into a 0G state which allows her to "fly". lots of neon lights with her uwu

her casually outfits are just generally geometric. also i decided to make her thin but to an unhealthy degree. perhaps she could be dealing an illness and we could explore how she feels being mostly in solitude for most of her life :p

Aisha :

she's basically the sporty girl aesthetic incarnate. lots of neutral tones with hints of green and pink :D her basic form is simply meant to be kind of mermaid inspired, also ide like to imagine her Enchantix would give her afro with cute water drops in it and pearls :3

Jesus that was long. anyhow as stated, this rewrite isn't being made anymore bc I've concluded that my challenge wouldn't work. keeping most of it intact and making it good would just simply result in a decent at best show. and us in the Winx fandom aren't going for just fine were going for MAJESTIC UWU

Clover Rants Miraculously

I think I’ve complained about this before, but MLB has a terrible habit of telling you to hate a characters instead of simply letting the dislike form naturally.

Like, take Chloe for example - it was easy to hate her in season 1 because she was being the stereotypical bully and causing Marinette (and the rest of the class and city) problems while acting in a way that earned negativity from the audience. There was no need for the show to go out of the way and make her hateable because she did that well enough on her own while making her an interesting and dynamic character. Then the season 3 finale happened, and it, along with season 4′s portrayal of her, her previous arc as a temp hero, and Thomas’s responses to (genuine and bad faith) questions about it on twitter saw a surge of Chloe defense because hell if Thomas and the writing crew were not determined to shout from the rooftops about how Chloe was the spawn of Satan with a pitchblack soul of coal and you had to think this too or else you likely ate puppies. Every scene she was in was basically the audience constantly being berated with “Hate Chloe Bourgeois or else!” signs while trying to enjoy the episode that just caused them to roll their eyes because really? The dumb blonde girl who’s entire modus operandus is “Threaten to call daddy mayor” is supposed to be seen as an utter monster who’s within the same ranks as the man who, in an alt-timeline, beat his son and then tried to brainwash him into being his magic servant to hurt his girlfriend (“Chat Blanc”)? I mean, outside of the near traincrash she caused as Queen Bee (Which they had her show remorse for, even if they didn’t handle the aftermath all that well) and her actions as Miracle Queen, Chloe is just an entitled bully with a superiority complex. Just get the girl some therapy and cut access to her credit cards and problem solved.

Felix’s entire intro episode is about how he’s such an awful conniving little brat in comparison to our beloved blonde angel Adrien - which he was, and we all loved him for it! and the fact that Thomas and co. didn’t want this just made everyone love him more out of spite. Probably helped that he absolutely seemed to revile Gabemoth and helped move along the Agreste side of the plotline by uncovering important secrets/lore Which should have been happening for our Deutagonist seeing as how this involves his father and mother but you know what let’s move on as well as him being based off the PV!Felix whom Thomas openly hated - so that just meant the fandom should definitely love him more and create thousands of AUs where he gets the Black Cat (or Butterfly) miraculous instead. (Of course, now that he’s on his way to redemption, he’s definitely going to head straight into base-breaking territory, though I feel the writers are just going to sour him on everyone if they play this the same way they did his intro)

Lila was fun to dislike and theorize about after her debut in Volpina - like, the amount of recurring villain Volpina, antihero!Lila, and Butterfly!Lila fanart I saw back then was immense. That’s how much of a splash she made. Then Thomas shuffled her off into the void and left her there for a majority of the show until “Heroes Day/Catalyst”, and when she finally got another focus episode (“Chameleon”), the entire thing spent so much time harping about what an awful and terrible liar she was and how “evil” it was to deceive everyone that people started hating her less for that and began hating the class and Bustier more for being stupid enough to fall for such obvious fibs (though in their defense, that’s more fault of the plot twisting itself into pretzel shapes so that Lila schemes can work when they really shouldn’t), and it worsened with “Ladybug” because everyone was so quick to turn on Marinette in it (and that the school apparently doesn’t have security cameras or bothered to call Lila’s mom considering her daughter was apparently assaulted on school grounds) that it just worsened the class salt the previously mentioned “Chameleon” brought upon. The final nail in the “Hate Lila or else” coffin ended up being the bible spoilers, which just made almost everyone stan her out of spite because when you have the show creators claim a lying teenage girl is more capable of greater evil than the magical emotionally manipulative terrorist, that tells me a lot of things except what you’re trying to claim.

Even Su Han, who isn’t a villain, is victim to this - he’s basically supposed to be representative of the fandom criticism of the show and Fu, who’s only purpose is to yell at Ladybug for “not doing guardianing right” before either being proven wrong (“Furious Fu” and “Ephemeral”) or admitting he’s the actual screw up (“Evolution”). Naturally, fandom responded by either making him the replacement mentor for Fu in their fics/AU that actually helps Maribug and Adrichat and proves a competent ally, or actually make him a decent opposing force.

Meanwhile, the characters they want the fandom to like are immediately hated because they’re just put off by how obvious they are about it - Poor Zoe was hyped to heaven and back, ultimately causing her to be immediately reviled by a lot of the fandom (mostly by those who were still bitter about losing out on Ally!Chloe) in her debut, and disliked even more when her temp hero episode had every character and their mother praising her on how nice she was and how she was so much better than icky Chloe. The constantly being told about how “good and pure” Emilie was despite being given nothing on her life before the Peacock miraculous and Gabriel has caused a number of people to create Evil!Emilie aus where she’s just as much of a self-centered megalomaniac as old Gabemoth. And Gabriel himself is basically the #1 hated villain not just because he’s, as stated, a magical emotionally manipulative terrorist, but also because the show is trying so hard to make him out to be this “sympathetic grey character” who “just loves his family” when he’s done nothing to show this (Hell, his actions the past 4-5 seasons basically showed the exact opposite), not to mention how inconsistent he seems to be with his goals and the lack of competence he’s shown despite apparently being so “smart and sophisticated” (Like my man, you had a time traveling miraculous and have one that can give you any superpower you want - Emilie should have been out of that magical cryocoffin and tap dancing right now)

tldr; Don’t “tell” your audience to hate a character. They can do it fine on their own.

heya! one of my fav questions to ask smut writers - would the characters you write most would ever fuck a clone (or AU or time travel) of themselves? alt and slightly more fun question - would they be in a threesome w/ their clone (other) and their current partner?

This is such a funny question lmao. Strangely enough I've never actually thought about it, and now that I am there is a bunch of different ways i could interpret this. I write fanfic, my hobby is basically just overthinking into a word document. So anyway, please enjoy a far more in depth thought process into my three main girls than you were probably expecting. Also to preface, I'm going off of MCU canon rather than anything shippy or the way I have actually written them in fanfics (if you ask me again a month from now my thoughts will probably have changed, I am incredibly inconsistent with character opinions like this lol)

Maria:

Somehow, she was the first answer that came to mind. If you asked her straight up I think she'd say yes and follow through. Her reasoning would be that logically, who is going to know what she likes better than herself, plus she doesn't have to deal with all the social and emotional aspects of one night stands or relationships. It's efficient. Being the director of SHIELD doesn't make for a great sex life. As for a threesome, I think she'd probably say no and I don't know how to explain that one. She's not into the clone, so she doesn't need them there if she's already got another partner.

Just for fun, I think if Maria was introduced to a clone / forced to live with one in a regular context, she'd probably just recruit it to help her get work done and half her chores. Maybe they'd use each other for some cuddle therapy because god knows she's not emotionally mature enough to ask anyone else. Sex would maybe be a thing if she was particularly pent up, but purely in a physical way

Natasha:

Nat's a little harder, but I think if you asked her she'd say yes BUT if you actually gave her a clone she'd be wigged out. I don't think she'd sleep with a clone at all, but honestly I don't actually think she'd sleep with anyone unless she felt particularly safe with them (if we're talking Nat who has healed a little by the start of the MCU, past Nat who can barely function might be more likely to fall into past tricks)

A threesome is also out of the question, though somehow I think she'd think about that one a little longer. (She'd probably love to be in a Maria sandwhich though.)

As for simply living with a clone, I think she'd hate it. I think it would creep her out big time. That girl already has trust AND identity issues, she does NOT need another person who looks exactly like her running around. In the comics she literally has her identity stolen and misused MULTIPLE times, she does not need this in the MCU, even if the the clone is inherently good. She's not trusting it. If she is forced to live with it, she is ignoring it at hard as possible.

Wanda:

Wanda took me so long to decide on, and it might be because I haven't written much about her in a long time. I could honestly still be presuaded the either way so I'm going to look at both. Firstly, my brain says I just don't think she likes herself enough to put up with it in a lot of what we see of her. Especially post Wandavision, I think looking at the effects of the Darkhold would probably be painful. HOWEVER, maybe if you asked AoU Wanda she'd say yes, because she thinks it'd be fun to try it once. What could go wrong? It's only herself. Wandavision Wanda would probably say yes (I'm imagining Agatha asking her as a bond building game haha, and Agatha definitely says yes.) And maybe post DSMoM Wanda would say yes, because she believes that no one else would be safe around her, though I think sex is probably the last thing on her mind HAHA but, that's what the question's about so! Basically I think my thoughts come down to: Wanda is a very curious person, and if she's not too busy wallowing in selfhatred and depression, then she'd say yes because it'd be interesting to see what it's like.

As for a threesome, honestly I think she'd be down. Marvel could say she learnt how to duplicated herself just to make it more fun for Vision and I'd believe them. A clone is basically the same sich, right?

And finally, I don't think she could live with one. I think she'd probably just deny it's existence entirely which would probably also desintigrate it literally too. The worst case I can imagine is that she has to see herself doing things that she picked up from Pietro, seeing the way that he lives within her and reminding herself in a horribly roundabout way what it was like to live with him

Bonus round: Clint would say yes immediately to all of the above. For science.

I saw your post about Bakudeku and Horikoshi's use of romantic tropes. I wanted to add a couple of my own thoughts. Bkdk also use the trope of "impress the girl" a bunch. In stories the mc often has a crush and wants to impress the girl, but she's just not interested. As he progresses in the story, the two of them start to interact and flirt more. In a lot of ways, bkdk reminds me of Astrid and Hiccup. Both of them

1: use the Impress the girl trope a lot

2: have a nerdy and emotional mc

3: have a beautiful bad tempered warrior blonde as a love interest.

4: mc knew said love interest even as a kid.

5: Said love interest disliked them and considered them a rival before finally befriending them.

This is also what I often want to say to bkdk haters. We've basically already seen relationships very similar to Bkdk on screen before, they just weren't gay. But in terms of dynamics and canon trope use, both of these couples share multiple romantic tropes. People argue that bkdk is toxic, but Astrid/Hiccup also had a rivalry and bullying going on. People say they are childhood friends and brother-like, but Astrid/Hiccup grew up in fairly close company to one another. I haven't seen many people mention the similarities between the two couples so I figured I might as well.

Definitely! The thing that’s so weird about bkdk is that it’s like this.. idk.. “cringe” queer ship. That bc Katsuki bullied deku it is automatically both toxic/abusive, and also that it is the “cringy, girl who likes gay ships way too much”. In a weird way, it’s trying to say that it IS the queer ship for straight girls, completely ignoring the many other people (99% of the time queer writers) that ship it!

It’s kind of like seeing bkdk as competition for izuocha in a weird way. Because, yeah, bkdk DOES fit a lot of romantic tropes, and the only reason it’s not seen as both a valid and possible ship, all circles around homophobia and the alt right.

Cringe culture was born out of the alt rights nihilism (that’s why the indomitable human spirit trend is so interesting to me personally) and that nihilism stretches to everyone. Queer, leftist, liberal, or even down to who ships what and how much they expect it to happen.

Let’s be honest here, if izu//ocha becomes canon then it’s bad writing. Simple as that. Bkdk has followed romantic tropes, had more development, had more screen time, his LOVE INTEREST has another love interest that better compliments her, (toga and possibly tsu) and it fights what makes a shonen well, shonen. The parody of the stereotypical shonen, but when you look under the cracks nothing really follows the normal tropes. From something as minuscule as an unwise mentor (all might) to the love interest of the story.

I have many, many thoughts on this subject, (my absolute monster of a meta post that’s in the works and thankfully almost done can attest to that) because I truly do think it’s deeper than people not understanding how shipping and fandom works. There’s more to it. Could be due to horikoshi making a character driven shonen over a plot driven one. (Another example of breaking the tropes of a normal shonen) Could be general homophobia in the anime community. We just, don’t know.

Kiri//Baku is also an interesting character in this whole idea of shonen. And that’s because of the fact that Katsuki not only doesn’t have a female love interest and therefore has to have a male one that’s closest to them and not Izuku (ofc without destroying the carefully built system straight love interests, like Mina for kirishima, jirou for kaminari, etc) because Izuku has ochako.

That’s why people always say that the ship is the “most straight queer ship”, even if there’s a lot of queer people who do.

Sorry kinda rambled a bit bdisndidkdji I just have a lot of thoughts on how shipping works culturally in a fandom. Super interesting.

Anyway, how to train your dragon was a great example and I’m glad you brought it up!

Btw I feel like I shouldn’t have to say this but just in case, please don’t harass anyone who ships anything. Block them if they’re attacking you in any way that genuinely hurts you or your mental health. It’s just better if we all stay a little more positive in general. Starting a nonsense argument in a tag? Ignore it. Block it. You’re only giving them your platform which is exactly what they want. The attention you’ll give them and the argument you’ll start. Also if it’s just some guy being a mild dickwad, don’t harass him. Please.

Likes: I'm huge nerd--straight up an astrophysics and math double major with a philosophy minor, because somehow that seemed like a good idea and they let me do it. Dislikes: cooking. I just can't figure it out and I'm quite clumsy so it usually ends in disaster. I'm also not great with hot weather and the outdoors in general--yay allergies :). Not a huge fan of cheesy rom-coms and pop. Chocolate ig? That's just a weird one. No real reason.

Appearance: I'm fairly taller than average for a girl (5'9) and on the slightly heavier side. My hair never stays the same length/colour/style in general for too long because I get bored of it quite quickly. I do tend to switch things up with my style quite often, but I generally go between either really preppy or pretty grunge depending on my mood/schedule that day. I do have a weakness for graphic tees though--especially really nerdy ones or vintage band tees.

Other than that, all I can think to add is that I'm a slytherin and INTJ...yeah that's basically it.

And while I'm here, one more quick post about a few games.

I decided to try playing something that isn't an RPG for a change. Normally I play lots of different kinds of things, but I kind of got stuck on playing half a dozen RPGs at once for most of the past year for some reason.

So far it hasn't been going super well.

The first thing that caught my eye in my Steam library was Killer Instinct, because I got it cheap in a bundle and remembered the older ones being kinda fun. Fighting games are pretty far from RPGs too, so that should be a good change of pace.

I don't hate it, but I don't especially like it either. It's kind of fun that most characters I tried seem to have some sort of silly gimmick because that makes them all feel different, but also it's a pain to learn them when you're just trying a bunch out to see if any of them click with you. The vast majority did not for me, and I felt like I never had a good sense of what the correct timing was for basically anything, so I decided I'd try one of the other fighting games I got in that same bundle but hadn't gotten around to yet.

Next was Soulcalibur 6. I hadn't played a SC game in any significant amount since SC2 on the GameCube, but that one was fun even if I wasn't super great at it. It told me that the story mode that has the tutorials in it was played with a character you make yourself and not one of the pre-existing ones, so I spent like half an hour screwing around with the character creator and making an edgy vampire girl with a fish for a hat. Then I went to the story mode and it informed me I had to make a new character from scratch and couldn't just import one from the character creator in the main menu. Uh oh.

I just made a generic default one so I could get on with it, and I worked my way through the tutorials. The gameplay was fine I guess, and it slowly started coming back to me from when I was younger. The story was not though. For a series with such a long history of ridiculous characters and ridiculous plots the story mode is astoundingly boring, both that one and the main story mode.

I think in 90 minutes I made it through the tutorials and maybe five actual fights, and the rest of that was just an endless series of cutscenes and VN-style dialogues across two separate story modes that I had zero interest or investment in. Ain't nobody got time for that unless it's actually good instead of just vaguely passable.

Moving on, Injustice 2 was next. I was somewhat hopeful that it would do better on the story side of things because the first one had a surprisingly fun story, and the comic series they spun off from it was actually pretty decent for at least some of its run too. It's just silly DC AU nonsense, but there are some fun alternate versions of characters and interactions between them and characters from the real main timeline too. I was only cautiously optimistic though because the trailers and promotional screenshots were pretty ugly, and somehow even though it has a larger roster of playable characters it has a substantially smaller number of female characters. They even got rid of my Zatanna, which is unforgivable.

The gameplay is probably fine? I didn't get to spend too much time with it though. It runs both really well and really badly on my computer. It's smooth and plays well and everything while also having some Age of Calamity-ass load times. Just restarting the same fight if I lost took something like 12 seconds, and that's nothing compared to having to load the whole thing fresh starting from the main menu where it's easily at least double that. I hit alt-F4 and uninstalled it after sitting on a loading screen for 20+ seconds just trying to load the tutorials after I wasn't doing great on the first few story mode fights (bounding between three different fighting games in 24 hours did not help with keeping the different systems straight).

And yeah, it really is an ugly game. On a technical level it's all fine visually, but it has severe AAA-itis when it comes to the art style and the "we have to cram every lighting/rendering feature on the checklist in whether it makes sense or not" curse that too many AAA games suffer from. It might have more polygons and more detailed textures and a bunch more fancy lighting effects than the first game, but the overall effect looks so much worse to me.

So do I just not like fighting games that aren't Smash anymore, or is it just these ones? Now I'm almost afraid to go back to Skullgirls for the new stuff in it or to try the newer BlazBlue games past the first one I played in case I just can't enjoy them anymore.

On the plus side I did get briefly distracted in the middle of there somewhere by Devil Daggers, which I also kinda forgot to play for the past several years. I'm not great at it, and I'm not sure I'll play it enough more to get particularly good at it, but I have at least had maybe an hour of fun with it already which is good enough. Also I apparently haven't entirely forgotten how to aim in a FPS even though I basically hadn't used a mouse since December.

He'll make fun of you either way. He's short for a guy (5'7) so he especially targets tall people because his own insecurities. But in reality, he actually doesn't care about your height, like at all.

Depends what account. Bro has four main accounts and eight alts. But his main main he uses for his friends is the absolutely cringy-est, awful thing ever.. "LEO_PimpDaddy" as his username, a pfp of a badly photo-shopped image with abs, yeah, it's BAD. His bio's some stupid quote like "Stop staring, I know I'm hot".

Their sexuality?

Hmm. Bisexual technically but he wayyy leans on girls, so he calls himself straight. Like 80% for girls 20% for boys.

Preferred weather?

40 degrees. That weird stage where autumn is turning into winter and it's cold but just chilly.

What's their sleeping schedule?

Goes to bed at like 7:30 like a child or goes to bed at 4 AM. No in between. Wakes up way too late either way.

Favorite music?

He likes that really bad sigma male music.. Also rap in general. Mostly bad rap, but sometimes he'll have some culture and go for some better songs.

How's their cooking?

Terrible. He can only make hot pockets and bagel bites. Not even toast to be honest. And when he does try to cook, he either gives everyone food poisoning or burns down his oven.

Any bad hallmark Christmas movie. It's July? Too bad. He says he watches it to make fun of it but he loves it too much.

How would they hold up in a pillow war?

Probably starts it in the first place trying to be funny. Very dramatic and pretends like you just murdered his entire family with one smack. Overall, very bad.

Who do they go to for comfort?

His grandma and Heart most commonly. It's not uncommon that he'll go to Rose or Von either, and sometimes, maybe even Kai or Summer.

The smell of other people's clothes. Could be anyone's, but he thinks the smell of peoples clothes affect their personality a lot.

LOVES it with most people. Especially if the other person is initating it, he just loves attention.

Okay, the only thing he's good at besides roller skating is directions. Really good at understanding maps surprisingly. Probably will ask for help in the most annoying way if he's lost, though.

Depends, really. Usually pretty well, but if it goes against what he wants even if it's what he needs, he accepts it in the moment but does not follow through without a fight.

How much do they swear?

A lot. Doesn't wanna say fuck because he thinks it's still a no no word. He says every other word a decent amount. Not insane, just moderate.

Sparks - Kimono My House

Sparks is the feral, horny clown of the glam rock world. I mean that in a good way. The guitars blast out epic bombastic riffs that suggest an incredible theatrical performance and then a jaunty falsetto will come in and sing about being bad at sex. This is one of the best albums ever made and for once I think it's position is actually too low on the list. Kimono My House is top 100 material at least.

Sheryl Crow - s/t

It's middle of the road country rock. It has the 4-5 minute song problem that was all the rage in the 90s but the songs themselves are pretty good. It's worth noting that the track Oh Marie is one of those special songs that comes across so fucking gay despite obviously being written by a straight person.

Big Star - #1 Record

If I had a gun to my head and I had to choose the best albums of the 70s then this one would at least make the short list. The blend of crisp guitars and dreamy vocals. The slight country tint to the garage rock formula. The way it almost sounds like it could be a 90 alt rock album at times. The way it reaches across the decades to make me feel like I understand perfectly what 70s teens were feeling. One of the greatest masterpieces of rock music. I can't even be coherent about this album I love it so much.

Daddy Yankee - Barrio Fino

I'll admit that reggaeton is definitely a blind spot for me so I may not have the tools to review this album properly. That said I thought it was enjoyable. Obviously I had heard Gasolina before but the rest of the album was new to me. Definitely danceable although sometimes samey. At least all the tracks were a reasonable length, they don't overstay their welcome.

SZA - CTRL

A journey through anxiety and loneliness and all the other emotions that might arise in between. SZA manages to float through songs about breakups and fights with a wistfulness that suggests she is still processing the emotions as she sings them.

Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow

So Jefferson Airplane is definitely a very mythologized band. I like this album, a lot in fact, but I don't think it's any more than a good psychedelic album. Grace Slick is an amazing vocalist and the psychedelic folk combo is very effective but honestly I think there are better albums from the time period. Honestly I don't even think it's the best Jefferson Airplane album from that year.

Juvenile - 400 Degreez

Back before the days of the Drake, Niki Minaj, and Lil Wayne Cash Money records had their first big hit with Juvenile. This was actually my first time checking out something from the 90s Cash Money catalogue and yeah it's good. Lo fi stripped down and dirty, pretty typical of southern hip hop from the 90s. It brought the sound as close to the mainstream as it was ever going to get, but it might sound a little basic to modern ears.

Manu Chao - Clandestino

The use of repeated musical motifs and each track cleanly flowing into the next makes this album feel like a DJ mix. It's always moving and changing flowing through tracks and languages and genres. 45 minute runtime flies by and leaves you wanting more.

The Rolling Stones - Some Girls

The last good Stones album. It's not a masterpiece but it's pretty solid. Even Miss You, the obligatory late 70s dad rock goes disco track, is very good. Solid as far as blues rock records but weak by the standards of Stones records.

Our first house party... SHIT WAS LIT. If you been followin my blog since the beginning then you remember when we first moved to Fakrava Island, we have moved into three homes during our time here, from tiki hut to private island to this big ass custom house. We really thoroughly enjoyed our time here, this is where we raised our tigers, and Yemi during her first months. It was super special that on our very last week here we were able to celebrate all the lil milestones with the biggest one we had in our list. 

I also got to share my love for music w the people and return to some of my personal SL roots. Being apart of the commune that was always my role there. I was known as the commune DJ and I was known for throwing wild themed parties like my favorite one which was a Andy Warhol theme based on the art scene he created in New York in the 80s. IYKYK. This time it was different because I was able to share a whole other side of genre of music and aesthetic w my people that connects to another side of me. That was dope. I am a hippie rocker alt chick at heart but I also am an African hip hop head too. LOL.

We didnt have any tip jar out or anything like that because it was just about the energy. I really wanted ppl to feel something new and different from this party, which is actually an old school SL vibe and tradition of being which is, sharing with others. What good is all these fancy homes and cute foods and clothes and objects if we arent using them to have fun, socialize and connect with others! Thats what the Linden bears are all about. The magick in giving something you made to someone else. Sharing your hard work and creations with your friends and strangers who you want to connect with.

I am def going to miss our room, Its literally when you finally get everything decorated the way you like that something happens where you got to leave lmao. I feel like ive even written about this before in past blogs because we have had rude awakenings in the past with our living situation. Lil Yemi is about to be one and shes moved so many times already! XD

Afro Nation fest was wild, I wont write much about this because it was a bittersweet thing for Wav and I. The sim was packed instantly hundred ppl there.

Asake performance was wild, we changed 3 times! We put on a real SHOW! I was basically IT girl dancer because the other three coordinated without me, even though I sent all the info of the outfits I put together to match his outfits in the discord. Outfits that were free/ affordable to get and fire! It was hilarious when I see them pull up in one fit they wore the entire show that didnt match anything on stage. LMFAO. They tried to leave me out but it did not work. I had all my routine set because I actually went to rehearsal lmao. I wont say anything else besides WAV AND I KILLED IT. He was also the only artist who had three changes during the show. We didnt get paid, thanks for any of our work.. for showing up to every rehearsal despite our RL shit we had going on, for rearranging our schedule to accommodate and perform. But we did it for the culture not for money intially... until we realized that none of the people were actually kind to us, talked to us or treated us like apart of the team. Sad.

I used to be a gatekeeper at a modern day botanica for many years. It is actually one of the most popular ones here in LA, visited by many high profile people. I am really exciting about merging this aspect of my RL with my life on the grid, overall it has felt fulfilling to my heart. ;)

I made spell infused soaps as well! Every botanica out there has em and they are for the practical mystics out there! Everything at my botanica is mystory compatible and boosts stats! Mainly happiness, energy and social!

Aw, our last lil pic as we packed up our fakrava home, we moved for a second to a house in Aussie shores and then from there we now live in our true home on the Mystory sim. I call it true home because that is where Meroe is, that is where the Botanica is, our new Secondlife family is found there. We wouldnt have it any other way and we are so grateful and blessed to have it.

You ever have a friend do something so awful that it makes you stop and think about the entire time you knew them? And then you start to reevaluate all of the friends you have and wonder how you ever got them or stayed with them.

Anyway, the one I talk to most often makes remarks like "it's because of the Jews" or replies to "you know what I really hate?" as a conversation starter with "the Jews" as an unnecessary response, and I call him out when I have the energy to do so.

The second is so incredibly hostile about their transphobic that people just don't even mention their existence or anything tangentially related because it only takes a subject of vague proximity to make him go on this massive rant for the next ten minutes that's basically regurgitated conservative propaganda.

The third is the one who made me think about all this. He somewhat recently got with some girl the second had issues with and basically all but abandoned us all for her. Except I found out that he's abusing her hardcore and nobody can talk to her to get her out. He forced her to quit her job to be a Tradwife and will not allow her to get so much as a part time job. If she goes on her phone, he watches everything she does. And we don't have proof, but we suspect he might go through it after he is done at work.

All three of these are so awfully close to being alt-right that all it'd take is an invitation and it would be official. Not saying that I'm not trying to keep them from going that way, but they are also not prone to my words of warning because since they aren't using direct alt-right terms, that means they are okay. Even if they do hate trans people, and Jews, and complain about those awful people who are punishing children for their political views, and laughing at Heard because "the memes about her are just so funny". But they aren't already one foot in the door of the alt-right, because they are just memes and meaningless comments.

But this was after I lost another a short while back who was incredibly racist and misogynistic to my ex. He would call his black girlfriend slurs and tell her stuff like "you will do the work around the house because your people are used to labor" and stuff like that. He would literally fistfight every supervisor and manager he had if they so much as looked at him the wrong way. He'd often talk about how a character he like better not be gay because he wanted the character to "stay a real man", and even broke his girlfriends finger for getting too close to his butt because he was straight and didn't want anything going in back there.

And my ex who was a very close friend ever since a few months after I started college who I thought was a great guy and liked doing stuff with him. But it wasn't until after all that was over that I realized how incredibly toxic he was, from abusive to selfish.

Which all makes me realize that my tolerance for bad people doing bad things is so awfully high that half the time unless I stop to think about it, I don't even realize that maybe I should have cut a lot of them off a long, long time ago. It also makes me wonder how many of who's left should I watch for and how awful have they been?

✨ He is now the father of younger, more chaotic youtubers and he honestly loves the light it brings to his life

✨ Has he changed after fame? Well yes and no. Levi is the same hardworking, introverted, sophisticated man he was before fame, he just grew better communication skills and has a wider friend group now

✨ He doesn't think he's above anybody though he has more confidence now, and he treats his fans very politely. He's super humble and anybody who has met him praises him

✨ Youtube brought only positive changes to his life and he doesn't express it much but he's very grateful to for his subscribers and fanbase

✨ He never knew that he'd actually like being surrounded by so many bright people and that he'd actually like broadening his horizons and making new friends. He's experienced many different things like playing horror games with Eren (he didn't flinch) and mukbangs with Sasha

Fack, I can't stop making AU's can I- But I got another AU, an Eddsworld one specifically, a superhero one specifically

I just love superheros alright-

It's one where the neighbors (including Todd) and the main boys, (including Tord) would be super heros, they have side rivalry's but they all have one goal, take down the big main villain

Edd: We all know Poweredd, no need to introduce him, but he also has telekinesis in this AU because it's funny to think about, and because I said so, he's the leader of his crew as always to stop Numero Uno and his team

Tom: He's basically the same- But he now uses his monster form to save people I guess??? IDK He does not really NEED much change for a super hero AU

Tord: He would probably have a wrestler-like name that sounds like it belongs to a villain to "sound cool" or whatever, like "The red destroyer" or "Skull smasher" or somth, but he has no powers of his own, his "power" is his giant robot which also counts as his suit, his robot's now dressed like an anime-magical-girl magical-girl wand and everything, you can STILL recognize it as "Tordbot" it's just dressed like an anime magical girl- Like just picture the Tordbot wearing something like this:

Nah I have a proper concept for him for this AU,

So he'd be called "Mirror Man" or "Mirror Justice" or- something to do with mirrors-

He now lives in like a "mirror world", how it works is like picture a gigantic invisible bubble in the real world, and it follows Matt everywhere and he lives in it, Matt is the only one in the mirror world who can touch and interact with things in the real world, he can also be seen unlike everything/everyone else who enters the mirror world but he can chose not to, if your in the mirror world you cannot directly be seen, you can only be seen in reflective surfaces like an actual mirror or a puddle or a shiny object, etc. etc. this applys to objects too and Matt can chose if this applies to him or not as well at anytime he wishes, you also cannot touch anything unless it is in the mirror world, say there is a book, you can see it but you wont be able to touch it unless Matt brings it into the mirror world but once it's in the mirror world everyone in the real world cannot see it or touch it, unless your Matt

For his suit I'm thinking like a purple full body suit with maybe dress like features and it's purple and teal and has these mirrors on it, not a shit ton but a few here and there like maybe 3-4 on the whole suit and they're small mirrors

And I don't think he needs a suit since he's invisible to the naked eye in ghost form

You know the show Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts?

So in the series Kipo is like half mega mute well that's kind of my Todd in this AU

So like Kipo, Todd can turn his hands into these giant jaguar paws, he can gain the jaguar ears and listen with them he can just straight up turn into a fuggin godzilla sized jaguar with three tails and six legs and all that

So basically in a nutshell he steals her powers in this AU without "Stealing them" technically, like he has the same powers Kipo does

Todd just, does not use an alt identity, he wears his alt outfit he wears when adventuring (Literally the same outfit but he took his dress shirt off leaving only his tanktop under it-) but that's it- The others claim this is risky but Todd is like "Dude I can just crush the threat with my Jaguar paws it's fine"

Mark:

His is a little wonky-

So Mark is one of those night heros that only appear at night, he's a werewolf and uses his wolf form as a super form leading to him to only show up at nights there is a full moon

his hero name could have something to do with wolfs or somth

And for his super suit/form just picture a buff ass blond wolf man in a ripped royal purple super suit :P

He also has fairy powers but he mostly only just uses the wings while instead shooting bad guys and beating them with the wand

So the main villain has powers of darkness and destruction, he can kill you with a simple spell and is heavily insane- He also has the ability to turn anyone into his little "Puppets" and pull the strings and make you do as he wishes easy he also hides in the shadows like a snake and plays this little "game" of his seeing the heros as his "puppets" on his quest for more power
