If this year has not taught me anything, it’s to be present and see the silver lining in every situation. Tonight should have been the concert I was looking forward to the most this year, which was My Chemical Romance. I would have been in my cutest outfit from Hot Topic and wearing too much black eyeliner along with all the other emo kids. I remember arguing in Hot Topic with my best friend about buying the band jacket that came out when the "The Black Parade" album was released. She told me I didn't need to buy that hundred dollar jacket because I was born into the black parade. So, we argued like an old married couple in the middle of the store and I didn't buy the jacket. To this day, it is one of my fondest memories and it still makes me laugh out loud.
