i realized xiao rerun is the perfect opportunity to continue collecting for polearm impact but that would mean i would have to give primordial winged jade spear to xiao because that is his signature weapon. i main hu tao a lot and she needs pwjs for the crit ratio

Like I said before, I don't gatekeep and I made it my mission to represent Kavetham teams. It's not just for the ✨️gays✨️, I'm here for the 🌈Gaymers🌈. So, have my Kaveh's bloom build, Basic Bitch build*, and Battery build ideas for viewing. And Alhaitham's here.
Tumblr media
Yes, I legitimately have a team specifically to carry Kaveh's different outfits labeled, "Kaveh's Wardrobe."** Leave me be.
Bloom
Tumblr media
Generic, but I love his bloom kit. He's a 4 star tank that gets the highest score in Abyss for "Most Damage Taken" 🥺 each and every time. Since I don't have Mailed Flower, I want Makhaira Aquamarine and that's all I'm missing for this outfit.
Basic Bitch*/DPS (wip)
Tumblr media
I now have Redhorn Stonethresher, Itto's weapon, and I'm trying to get more refinements. So, I will switch to that when I can. I chose Deepwood Forest for his DPS outfit for the Dendro res shredding. I also considered Vermillion Hereafter and the traditional Gladiator's Finale set for ATK boosts.
Xingqiu normally wields Deepwood for the team, but if Kaveh and Alhaitham change their outifts, then Xingqiu might be switched out of the team entirely.
Battery (wip)
Tumblr media
This one is simple. Focus on ER and collecting particles. Chongyun is holding the seconday battery set, Sacrificial Greatsword + Noblesse Oblige; I didn't care enough to add that to Enka network because it's like 4:30 am and I haven't slept. Mix and match to your liking. So, Kaveh technically has 4 outfits. 💕
Alhaitham: Basic Bitch* & Battery Build
Tumblr media
Loser husband. Only wears sweats or a bland as fuck black suit & tie to formal events. Overall, he's still a DPS but I gave some attention to ER. Will occasionally switch out Harbinger of Dawn with my R3 Blacksword from battlepass because I like its little healing passive for him. Shinobu can only keep you alive for so long, Alhaitham, and she might not even be on the team at all times. It's a little bit of a WIP because I changed out his sands and circlet.
Supports are also important. The final two slots can be whoever you wish, of course, but it does need to make some sense. For example, if I'm using my Kaveh DPS build, Alhaitham will lean into his battery build, and their supports could be Yun Jin, Bennett, or Rosaria. Basically, characters that buff the on-field DPS, i.e. Kaveh. As mentioned before, I normally have Xingqiu on the team, Hydro subDPS with Dendro resistance shredding thanks to the Deepwood set, but he can be switched around when I don't use the Bloom outfit.
For my Kavetham comrades, please feel free to gain inspiration from my builds. I would love to see your ideas ♡ too. If people are making DPS Freminent, Amber, Heizou, and even Pyro Yao Yao, there's no excuse to building your favs into little monsters. Send them to the Abyss to serve cunt. 💃 To everyone else, I don't tolerate any hate, harassment, or unwarranted "help/advice." Yes, we know what the meta is. No, we clearly don't care. Keep it to yourself.
* I say the phrase "Basic Bitch" for DPS builds because they're generally the same for any character: Flower (HP), Feather (ATK), [scaling stat ATK%/DEF%/HP%/EM] Sands, Elemental/Physical dmg Goblet, and Crit dmg/rate circlet.
** "Outfits" refer to artifacts and weapon pairings.

✨ Neuvillette Hydro DPS Build ✨
Tumblr media
💦 Took me the rest of the week since the day I got him to complete him. Well, not completely complete since I haven't given him a crown. But at least his talents are all at level 9 so he's pretty much ready to go meet his enemies.
💦 I've been trying to learn how to use him properly on the open world and domains, and so far I really like him. He's so fun to use, doesn't necessarrily need a whole setup to work and is already a complete unit by himself.
💦 Disclaimer: This build is not perfect and by no means should be treated as a rigid rule. I just share what I have tested in game and what I know works for me. So always do your own research and take my guide with that note in mind!
Artifact Set
Tumblr media
💦 Being a Fontainian unit means that Neuvi has a kit that perfectly tiggers the new artifact set, Marechaussee Hunter (MH). Think of MH like Blizzard Strayer. It helps you by giving crit rate when the 4 pc passive is active so you can focus on other stats instead. BUT, MH isn't the only set that works on him. You can of course put 4 pc Heart of Depth, or 4 pc Wanderer's Troupe if you want. Especially since the later are pretty much old artifacts and I'm sure you already have some good WT pieces at this point.
4 pc Marechaussee Hunter
4 pc Heart of Depth
4 pc Wanderer's Troupe
2 pc Marechaussee Hunter, 2 pc hydro damage (HoD/Nymph's Dream)
2 pc Marechaussee Hunter, 2 pc hp% (Tenacity/Vourukasha)
2 pc hp% (Tenacity/Vourukasha), 2 pc hydro damage (HoD/Nymph's Dream)
💦 Do note that the crit rate requirement will decrease if you use MH which is why it's the ideal set for him cuz he can easily trigger the passive. But other than that you can use the sets above, whichever has the better sub-stats.
Artifacts stats: hp% sands, hydro damage bonus goblet, crit damage circlet
Ratio to follow: 30-40% crit rate if using MH otherwise 60-70% for non MH, >130-140% ER, >30.000 hp
Team Composition
Tumblr media
Hyper carry Neuvillette
💦 Being a hydro unit makes Neuvillette very flexible as he can get into many teams whether as the hydro enabler only or the main damage dealer of the team. He can even excel in dendro team as the hydro enabler. But one that I personally like is his hyper carry team and taser team.
Weapon Choice
Tumblr media
💦 In my opinion his weapon choices that actually caters to his kit are not that many. I only prefer these 4:
Tome of The Eternal Flow
Lost Prayer of The Sacred Winds
Jadefall Splendor
Prototype Amber (higher refinement is recommended)
💦 Are you surprised that he can use Prototype Amber? Yes, the weapon that is well associated with healer does actually work on him. Think of it like an atk% weapon for atk%-scaling dps. Since Neuvi's damage scales of hp, Prototype Amber comes in handy for him. Especially since it also helps with his ER and not to mention heals the entire party everytime he bursts. What a complete unit!
Talent Priority
Tumblr media
💦 Neuvi is an on field hydro dps that relies on his basic attack, especially his charged attack. His skill and burst summons water droplets on the field that will be consumed each time he does charged attacks. So his basic attack comes first, followed with burst just because it has higher multiplier compared to his skill.
So that’s pretty much my Neuvillette build. Feel free to ask me questions if you have any through my ask box or just leave comment on this post and I’ll respond right away!
Don’t forget to check out my other builds here!

Xianyun Guide || Kit explanation, Builds, and Teams
Tumblr media
FIRST BUILD GUIDE IN AGES LET'S GOOOOO
In today's post i'll be explaining Xianyun's kit, best builds + teams, and my own thoughts on her power level
let's get into it!!
part 1 ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ kit overview Xianyun is an Anemo catalyst support. By increasing jump height for all characters with her burst, she enables a new plunge attack playstyle for any character who can use her well! Skill - enters a special state. Upon using the skill, she leaps forward unleashes "skyladder" once to deal Anemo damage. She can then leap forward and unleash skyladder up to 2 more times. She is able to unleash skyladder while mid-air. In this state, her plunging attack has her turn into a bird and rush towards enemies to deal Anemo damage. This attack cancels the state. So you basically get to do a special cool jump 3 times and then get to do a special cool charged attack Burst - Deals Anemo damage and heals all party members. Then creates a mechanism with the following effects - follows the active character - periodically heals all characters - grants 8 uses of jump height enhancement - each plunging attack triggers additional Anemo damage Passive 1 - Each opponent hit by her skill’s special plunge will grant party members 1 stack (max 4) of plunging attack crit rate Passive 2 - while under the effects of her burst, the active character’s plunging attack will gain a flat damage bonus. This bonus works similarly to Shenhe’s icy quills simple summary - skill gives her 3 jumps and a special plunge attack. Burst heals all characters, grants a jump height bonus, and deals damage. Passives grant buffs to plunge attacks.
part 2 ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ artifacts/weapons Artifact Sets ╰┈➤ as an Anemo support, 4pc Viridescent Venerer is one of the best choices. Use this set if your DPS is a Pyro/Cryo/Hydro/Electro character. If your main DPS isn't of these elements, this set can still be a viable option if you're also using a strong Pyro/Cryo/Hydro/Electro DPS ╰┈➤ 4pc Noblesse is a good choice but doesn't stack so you may have better holders of it in your team. If you don't have a P/C/H/E DPS and no other good noblesse users in your team, this set is one of your best options. ╰┈➤ 4PC Ocean-Hued Clam is a great option as well. It will give her a nice chunk of personal damage and can also help her healing a bit ╰┈➤ 4pc Song of Days past is a good option if you have it but it's not that good of a set to farm. Bubble damage from clam is greater than the damage of this set's buffs (shoutout to keqingmains i was actually curious abt this) ╰┈➤ 2PC/2PC is an okay option if you don't have any other sets. She can use attack, er, or healing bonus 2pc effects Artifact Stats ╰┈➤ Energy Recharge sands, Attack Goblet, Attack Circlet Weapons ╰┈➤ Crane's Echoing Call is her signature weapon and insanely good on her. However, it is quite niche so don't feel forced to pull for it ╰┈➤ Favonius Codex is a really awesome choice. It helps her with her ER% needs and provides energy to her often energy-hungry teammates like Xiao ╰┈➤ Other ER% weapons are good choices, esp if they have high Base Attacks or Attack stats ╰┈➤ Thrilling Tales is a good choice to buff your DPS but it does have a very low base attack which hurts her buffing capabilities
part 3 ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ teams/teambuilding guide Xianyun is quite versatile so to do this section, I'll explain some other supports that are good with her and then what gives a DPS synergy with her, as well as some examples ╰┈➤Xianyun's team-wide healing makes her an amazing choice in Furina teams ╰┈➤ Characters such as Chongyun, C6 Bennett, and Candace can work well when paired with DPS characters that don't infuse themselves or who have significant downtime with their infusions ╰┈➤ The best choices for DPS characters in Xianyun teams are those with their own infusions. Characters such as Diluc, Hu Tao, Ayaka or even catalyst characters will work great with this new plunge attack playstyle! ╰┈➤ Even though Xiao and Gaming already enable their own plunge attacks, Xianyun's buffs to plunge attacks and synergy with Furina still allow her to be an amazing support. Her 2nd passive's flat DMG bonus allows her to almost function as a Shenhe for plunge attacks which makes her a great support choice for these characters ╰┈➤ When playing her with Pyro characters like Gaming, Hu Tao, or Diluc, you can still use Xingqiu and/or Yelan! Just weave in a normal attack in between plunges.
part 4 ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ overall strength/is she good? warning: this part is gonna be a lot less objective than the other three sections. In my opinion, Xianyun is a strong support who is, most importantly, incredibly fun! She provides such a unique gameplay experience that creates tons of new possibilities. So, should you pull: Sure! If she seems fun to you, she's a great choice. And another great thing about her is that she will definitely get even better with time as we get more and more characters with infusions!
and, that's all for today! I hope you found this guide helpful!! Feel free to leave any questions in the comments or send in an ask! Have a great day and stay hydrated <33
˗ˏˋ statuses ´ˎ˗
upcoming posts ・❥・ gaming guide, should you pull
asks ・❥・ open! I also want to start doing build reviews so send those in if you want me to review your characters! If you send one in, pls lmk how harsh you want me to be and how constructive I should be

Artifact Guide (Sets)
Tumblr media
(See Artifact Guide (Stats) for the types of artifacts and what stats they can get)
Once again, Artifacts are an incredibly hard concept to grasp, but hopefully these explanations will make it a bit easier.
All Artifact sets have a bonus you can acquire by equipping 2 or 4 of the same set. Here is a list of 3/4-star and 4/5-star artifact sets and what bonuses they provide.
All of these artifacts can be farmed in domains.
I will not be including any of the Prayer circlets, as they are 1PC only and while they do each provide a certain Elemental resistance, it takes up a whole slot and I personally do not see the point in using them
If the artifact bonus is ridiculously long and complicated, I’ll put an explanation underneath the set.
If any of my math calculating the bonuses is wrong, PLEASE for the love of god TELL ME. I am SO BAD at math.

(Increases the DMG of any of the previously stated elemental reactions, and increases the DMG caused by Aggravate by an additional 20%. Triggering electro-related reactions as the active character causes your skill to not take as long to cooldown

When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s.
Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus.
When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost.
(After hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, the effect starts. If you keep up with the Geo attacks, you gain a stack every 0.3 seconds. If you take the character off of the field after the initial Geo attack, the effect continues to stack every 3s. After 4 stacks (12 seconds off-field, 1.2 seconds with consecutive Geo attacks), DEF and Geo DMG are both increased by 6%. After six seconds, the effect is lost)
** **
Ocean-Hued Clam

At the end of the duration, the Sea-Dyed Foam will explode, dealing DMG to nearby opponents based on 90% of the accumulated healing.
(When a character is healed by the character with this artifact, a Sea-Dyed Foam will show up and deal damage equal to 90% of however much the character was healed including any healing done after the character is at full HP. The damage is not affected by Elemental Mastery, Character Levels, or Reaction DMG Bonuses)
Only one Sea-Dyed Foam can be produced every 3.5 seconds. Each Sea-Dyed Foam can accumulate up to 30,000 HP (including overflow healing).
There can be no more than one Sea-Dyed Foam active at any given time. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.
** **
Vermillion Hereafter
2PC: ATK +18%
4PC: After using an Elemental Burst. this character will gain the Nascent Light effect, increasing their ATK by 8% for 16s.

Nascent Light will be dispelled when the character leaves the field. If an Elemental Burst is used again during the duration of Nascent Light, the original Nascent Light will be dispelled.
(Ex. If Xiao uses his burst, his ATK will increase by 8%. As he loses HP during his burst, his ATK will continue to increase by 10% ever 0.8 seconds 4 times, totally to a 48% ATK increase. This effect will dispel if he leaves the field, but if his burst is used again during this effect it will be renewed)

This trigger can occur once every 0.2s.
(There is a 36% chance for a Normal Attack to trigger the effect, which increases Normal Attack DMG by 70%. After another Normal Attack, the effect will disappear. The effect can occur every 0.2 seconds)
** **
That was intense, but luckily the Sumeru sets are a bit easier to understand. Here’s Alejandro Saab (cyno’s va) annoying Zach (aether’s va) with his jokes
Alejandro Saab being a funny mf you guys are just too cowardly to admit it
** **
Deepwood Memories
2PC: Dendro DMG Bonus +15%
4PC: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.
(Ex. Alhaitham has the set, hits an opponent with his skill/burst, the opponent takes more DMG from Dendro for 8 seconds. This will also happen if Shinobu hits an opponent with her skill/burst even if she doesn’t have the set and Alhaitham wasn’t on the field)
** **
Gilded Dreams
2PC: Elemental Mastery +80
4PC: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members.
ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character.
Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type.
Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.
(Ex. I have Cyno in my team and he has the set equipped, then he triggers an Elemental Reaction (could be Superconduct, Overloaded, Hyperbloom, anything involving Electro).
For every member in my party who is also Electro (ex. Shinobu, Raiden, Lisa) his ATK is increased by 14%. If it’s a pure Electro team, he can have up to a 42% ATK increase.
For every member in my party who is a different element than Electro (ex. Tighnari, Thoma, Xinqiu), his Elemental Mastery is increased by 50. Up to 150 Elemental mastery can be acquired.)
** **
Desert Pavilion Chronicle
2PC: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%.
4PC: When Charged Attacks hit opponents, the equipping character's Normal Attack SPD will increase by 10% while Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will increase by 40% for 15s.
** **
Flower of Paradise Lost
2PC: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
4PC: The equipping character's Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction DMG are increased by 40%.
Additionally, after the equipping character triggers Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, they will gain another 25% bonus to the effect mentioned prior. Each stack of this lasts 10s. Max 4 stacks simultaneously.
This effect can only be triggered once per second. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.
(Ex. Tighnari has this set, the damage cause by any of the previously mentioned Elemental Reactions is increased by 10%. After he triggers those reactions, the reactions do 10% more damage and then add 10% more DMG for every reaction triggered after. A max 60% Bonus can be achieved this way.
Also, even if Tighnari is not on the field but still has this set, whoever triggers these reactions still gets the bonus)
** **
Nymph's Dream
2PC: Hydro DMG Bonus +15%
4PC: After Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts hit opponents, 1 stack of Mirrored Nymph will triggered, lasting 8s.
When under the effect of 1, 2, or 3 or more Mirrored Nymph stacks, ATK will be increased by 7%/16%/25%, and Hydro DMG will be increased by 4%/9%/15% Mirrored Nymph created by Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts exist independently.
(Ex. If Nilou has this set and hits an opponent with any attack, she gains a mirror. Each mirror lasts for 8 seconds and each mirror gained grants a greater increase in attack) sounds a lot like alhaitham’s kit ngl
** **
Vourukasha's Glow
2PC: HP +20%
4PC: Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG will be increased by 10%. After the equipping character takes DMG, the aforementioned DMG Bonus is increased by 80% for 5s.
This effect increase can have 5 stacks. The duration of each stack is counted independently. These effects can be triggered even when the equipping character is not on the field.
(Ex. After 1 stack you get 80% of the base bonus (so 8% for those who can do simple math like me). At full stacks, you gain a 50% skill and burst damage bonus)
Even if the character is not on the field, this effect will still apply to other characters)
** **
Again, I know that was A LOT but now we have everything we need to build a character! I’m working on some builds for the starter characters right now!
(also thank you to @yerbalurks. they corrected a some pretty big mistakes and explained what those mistakes were)

I would like to ask how to be a klee main pls
Tumblr media
So you want to be a Klee main...!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
LMAOOO OK JOKES ASIDE THO! I love playing as Klee and am super excited when someone else likes her too! Pls take everything i say w a grain or bag of salt as i know very little of what im doing besides from guides help XD
So short version: Klee is a great DPS, but she doesn't have very good synergy in reaction teams due to her pyro overpowering other elements in battle. She also struggles being very toss-able and squishy health. Not to mention her attack set is a bit slow and many suggest using cancellation techniques which can get very tricky to preform efficiently. Farming crimson witch domain may crush your spirits too, but I think her fun playstyle and kit is worth the efforts! You can burn the grass in your friends world for pranks! throw large enemies around and leave little room for them to attack! Blow up rocks and boulders! Explore the world more by fitting into small areas that may not supposed to be reached yet! Avoid attacks cause she's too short to get hit sometimes! LOTS OF EXPLOSIONS AND EFFECTS! I love it! There's a lot of fun little things that i find makes playing as klee very fun! I find she does best against multiple enemies rather than bosses. Not to say you cant use her for them, but it may not be ideal as a different group!
I suggest going to this Klee guide for an indepth breakdown of her pros, cons, artifacts, teams, etc! KeqingMains site has a bunch of great guides for many characters and is updated frequently!
LONG VERSION:
So Klee is a great and fun character. You can burn grass and set fire to your friends world!!! She can find stuff unique to mondstats area, and overall her kit is just super fun and can have a lot of explosions depending on your team!
Here is my build on her currently:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Weapon wise I use Skyward Atlas since ive gotten it twice by chance LOL, but widsith is ranked best 4* for her and Kagura’s Verity is best 5* BUT APPARENTLY!!! Kagura is most good just because it has bugs that make it better on klee, it might change if it gets patched out T^T so i wouldnt pull for it specifically, but if you have it already might be good to use! ^v^ Now, despite having her since release my artifacts are still VERY iffy, but thats cause crimson witch domain hates me! LMAO I use Gladiators Finale and crimson witch, and then my goblet is my off piece since i want pyro DMG ! My main advice here is for substats aim for Crit rate, crit dmg, atk % and atk. For the main stats Goblet; Pyro DMG, Sands; ATK%, and Circlet; Crit Rate (Crit DMG if you already have at least 50% crit rate without this piece) As for those cancellation techniques they can be daunting and tricky, but dash cancel and jump cancel arent too bad! BUT!!! Dash canceling is the easiest in my opinion. You attack twice, dash and then attack again. With how much i run around on the field this one is quick to get used to doing!
NOW TEAMS! ^V^ While I find I can use klee in most areas (besides pyro enemies TvT) A good team really makes Klees dmg increase a lot! My main go to is!!! Klee, Xiangling, Bennet, and Venti!
Tumblr media
I use Bennys ULT then Xianglings followed by Ventis and then go crazy with Klee! ^V^ If your supports are built well, after defeating a group of enemies you usaullyt get your ults back immediately. So you can just keep cycle the big attacks! Venti can be opted out for sucrose or kazuha as well! (I think Kazuha is supposed to be best anemo here, but i dont have kazuha LOL)
My other go to team with klee is!!! Klee, Fischl, Beidou and any support that fits your needs.
Tumblr media
This is a great overload team and makes for very fun combat against bosses that can be knocked over. Enemies have little room for attack and theres explosions everywhere which is super fun!!! My beidou isn't built yet, but this team still works great whether your artifacts are top tier or not. As for supports I reccommend a Healer or shield support. Klee sets the ground on fire alot and will take a lot of dmg there ;;; if you have Zhongli his shield is AMAZING!!! If you want to focus on dmg bonuses just stick with bennet and his ult! Diona or Qiqi are good healers that let Klee stay battling while protecting her!
AND LASTLY!!! Multiplayer and world exploration! If your gonna be a klee main u gotta be a lil silly!!! >V< You can mess with your idle friends and burn the grass they stand on >:3 or blow up an enemy over a cliff! Klees explosions can be used on rock piles or geo cliffs that need to be broken! No need to bring out a claymore ^v^ Again very good against multiple enemies at a time since she often knocks them off their feet and sends them backwards! Her small height also can help with avoiding attacks that go over her head LOL
Overall Klee is very fun to play and I greatly encourage you to play her kit! especially if you like explosions and being a lil rascal :3
AGAIN! CHECK OUT KEQINGMAINS FOR GREAT GUIDES! Legit it goes over the attack animation cancellation techniques, artifacts and stats, weapons, teams, EVERYTHING in great depth!!! You can also find resources for most characters if not all of them!
I rambled here alot but thank you for asking!!! <3 idk how helpful this was but hopefully you can have fun!

Layla Theorycrafting Post
Thanks to @fungisteri I was able to get a lot more details on Layla in the Genshin Impact 3.2 beta. I’m happy to say that she looks a lot better than I initially thought, so I thought it would be fun to hypothesize builds for her.
The details about her kit are still subject to change as Layla is still in testing, but I think I have a pretty solid build for her based on what I know from looking at her Talent descriptions and seeing her gameplay in action.
General Considerations
There are a few important things about Layla that you should consider when building her: she uses a shield, wields Cryo, scales with her HP, and her burst costs 40* Energy. So we know that Layla wants us to build HP for her shield and damage and she won’t need much, if any, Energy Recharge.
Outside of that, we’re free to do as we please. Layla isn’t a healer, so we don’t need to worry about stuff like Healing Bonus and we can focus on building up her shield and damage. With shield characters you want to make sure their shield is strong enough to not break and after that you can focus on improving their damage.
Layla has 11k HP at level 90, which is about average for a 4-Star character and is notably higher than Thoma and Diona, two other shield characters of the same tier who scale with HP. Her shield also has higher base DMG Absorption, lasts longer, and gets stronger with one of her Passive Talents as well as her first Constellation level.
What all this means is that Layla’s Shield is quite tanky and will probably be sufficiently strong with just a +20 Flower of Life and +20 Sands of Eon with %HP, since she also gets %HP from her Ascension. Put Cryo DMG Bonus on her Goblet of Eonothem and CRIT Rate/DMG on her Circlet of Logos and you should have a pretty strong Layla build.
*This is changed from an initial value of 60 when I first wrote this post
Artifacts
There are a few good artifact sets for Layla, the best of which depends on how you intend to use her. Most of them are support sets but there are some options for a damage-focused Layla.
Instructor - This is a 4-Star set, so you’ll be losing out on stats and it’s also tricky to use. But you could use this to buff a Melt carry like Xiangling. As long as you can consistently trigger a reaction with Layla and apply enough Cryo for Xiangling to consistently Melt, the team buff to Elemental Mastery can be very powerful.
Noblesse Oblige - Yes, you’re probably tired of hearing about this set but there’s no denying its power. If you don’t have any other characters using it in your party, Layla can be a good holder of this set, and the 20% burst damage bonus is definitely good on her.
Blizzard Strayer - Without a doubt Layla’s best DPS set if you plan to use her in a Freeze team. Cryo DMG Bonus and CRIT Rate buffs the damage of her whole kit, and you won’t find a better set for raw stats.
Tenacity of the Millelith - I think this will be a great set for Layla. Her Elemental Skill hits often enough that you can reliably trigger the 4-Piece set effect, buffing the Shield Strength and ATK of the whole party and the 2-Piece effect buffs her damage and her shield. Probably her best support set overall.
You can also mix and match 2-Piece sets of Blizzard Strayer, Noblesse Oblige, and Tenacity of the Millelith and still be quite effective. As for Energy Recharge, I wouldn’t worry about it, but if you’re struggling to cast her Elemental Burst, maybe give her 20% or so. Layla’s burst seems to have a good chance to spawn particles when it hits enemies, so as long as her skill also generates some you shouldn’t need more than that in most teams you would use her in.
Weapons
Most swords don’t synergize well with Layla, but there are a few good options and one amazing option:
Key of Khaj-Nisut - On the off chance that you have this weapon and aren’t using it on its intended wielder, Nilou, the Key is quite appealing. You get a whopping 86.2% HP and Layla can easily trigger its passive effect to buff party Elemental Mastery and take further advantage of her large HP pool.
Mistsplitter Reforged - You probably wouldn’t use this on Layla, but it’s an absolute powerhouse of a weapon even if she can’t take full advantage of it. 44.1% CRIT DMG and up to 28% DMG Bonus make this stat stick one of her best options for raw damage.
Freedom-Sworn - Layla doesn’t exactly benefit much from the Elemental Mastery here but she can use this weapon to provide a very strong team buff. It’s a great option if you have it and aren’t using it in your team already.
Primordial Jade Cutter - This one’s a little weird because its passive effect doesn’t really work with Layla. Still, 44.1% CRIT Rate is incredible and 20% HP isn’t bad either.
Summit Shaper - If you’re running Layla as a main DPS for the memes, this weapon will make her normals a lot stronger by giving you a ton of %ATK. Outside of that though, I can’t really recommend this one.
Sacrificial Sword - The Energy Recharge on this thing is overkill, but being able to reset the CD of Layla’s shield has a lot of utility. It lets you produce extra particles and it keeps you protected for comfier gameplay.
Favonius Sword - This is a weapon that gets recommended on pretty much every support character ever. As long as you have the CRIT Rate to back it up, Favonius weapons are busted and can singlehandedly solve the energy problems of your entire team.
Harbinger of Dawn - One of a few exceptionally good 3-Star weapons, Harbinger of Dawn is also fantastic on Layla. It can be refined effortlessly and maintaining its effect is incredibly easy with either a healer or a shield. 28% CRIT Rate and 46.9% CRIT DMG let this weapon rival and even exceed 5-Star options in damage and it’s my top pick for Layla.
Suggested Build
Having explored what Layla’s equipment options are, I think this will be Layla’s best build for most players:
Weapon: Harbinger of Dawn
Artifacts: 4-Piece Tenacity of the Millelith or 2-Piece Noblesse Oblige/Blizzard Strayer/Tenacity of the Millelith with %HP, %Cryo DMG Bonus, and %CRIT Rate or %CRIT DMG, prioritize CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and %HP on secondary attributes
This should be a solid generalist build that will be optimal in some teams while still being decent in others. Blizzard Strayer can be better in Freeze teams but since Layla isn’t the strongest damage dealer you still get more out of running 4TotM on her.
Harbinger of Dawn is by far Layla’s best weapon for the investment, I can’t recommend it enough. Unless you have one of the 5-Star weapons I mentioned, it’s easily her best in slot weapon.
Teams
Layla’s place in the meta is something that needs to be thoroughly tested, but I have some general ideas about where to put her.
As I mentioned before, she’s a good option for Freeze teams, but may be a bit extra as her shield isn’t that useful when freezing enemies prevents you from being attacked anyway. Still, she can function as a Cryo battery and as a burst support for some damage.
The same goes for mono Cryo teams, where Layla’s shield is also a bit more relevant. She can probably replace Diona in these teams unless you’re going up against Rift Wolves and need a healer.
Layla’s best application might be in Physical DPS teams with either Eula or Razor. Her strong shield coupled with the effects of her Elemental Skill/Burst getting extra Night Stars when your main DPS uses their skill gives her great synergy in these teams, and if you can unlock Constellation level 4 on her, she buffs team Normal Attack DMG.
Some final thoughts before I wrap this up:
It’s still a little unclear how strong Layla is compared to existing 4-Star characters, but I think the innate sturdiness of her shield and the resulting freedom to invest more in her damage output mean she could be one of the better 4-Star Cryo supports. She won’t out-DPS pure burst supports like Kaeya and Rosaria, though. I think she’ll be at something of a midpoint between their damage and Diona’s, and that’s probably all she needs to be viable since Diona’s sheer utility keeps her relevant despite her pathetic damage.
Layla’s damage may have been nerfed since she was first added to the beta test but since she also received several buffs at the same time, I think she’ll still turn out pretty well.

My not so relatable co op experience™ with these mains
This is not a stereotype just my personal experiences in genshin. Take everything with a grain of salt or maybe just skip it entirely if you feel like you might be offended. The ones I've excluded? I dont see them often in co op.
Albedo
*drops flower* my job here is done,
Harbinger of dawn so gotta keep hp above 90%, understandable
*casually doing 20k per bloom dmg* wtf what u feeding him, spare some RNG luck
BENNETT
SON!!!!!!! AND PRECIOUS BOY!!!!!!!! Always welcomed in any domain, (except cwof maybe?) but yes best boy, best support and usually Bennet mains are pretty flexible, and more willing to use support character/healers in co op.
Diluc
I AM JEALOUS, SO SO JEALOUS. also I saw that wolves gravestone so please stop attacking randomly I just wanna take a photo with Diluc. Stay still for one minute dammit.
Eula
Fastest speed runs I've had in the emblem set domain was with a Eula main. Honestly, pretty straight to the point. 10/10 would do domains again. the enemies are always dead before that sword explodes :((((
Diona
Heh, you didn't get zhongli did you? Lmao sorry back to the point. Pretty chill but please give that shield asap, whenever the skill is off cooldown, my Ayaka is dying have mercy.
Ganyu
When someone uses ganyu I know that I can just chill and viola the challenge is already complete. Kinda scary with that 250+ crit damage tho 😳
Kazuha
Stop swirling Pyro dammit, I'm using blizzard strayer I need them affected by cryo 😭😭. But srsly inspite of that the melt dmg I get is just 😩👌
AYAKA
My queen and sweetheart 🥰 I am one myself and most of them are pretty co operative and polite. Entering everyone's world to get some Sakura blossoms,🥺 pls just let us have them. Also Shoutout to that one player who let me use my Ayaka in domain and used diona instead. Tysm for that cryo resonance <3
Raiden Shogun
80 energy cost what?? My burst is always up even before the cooldown ends. Just endless Ayaka Bursts everywhere, so thank you for that. Also pls u are immune to electro charged I am not, stop using your skill and killing me with water nearby 😭
Xiao
Tumblr media
Our boy is a glass canon 😔 those 50k per plunge don't come easy and I understand. Not having that NRE equiped in a team with no healers? Then realising it mid battle? ouch
Zhongli
Actual lifesavers, c2 zhongli! ? BLESSING. Especially in event domian like energy amplifier. As soon as we got a c2 zhongli haver in our team that challenge became cakewalk. (we were trying for the last hour at least) word of advise always have a friend with c2 zhongli, you don't know when you might need them next
KOKOMI
I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU, 😩♥️ WHEN I SEE A KOKOMI IN CO OP I FEEL LIKE I CAN USE XIAO WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT ANYTHING. THE SWEETEST AND WHOLESOME WILL NOT LET YOUR HP GO LOW AT ALL!!!!!!
I appreciate you guys a lot - sincerely a xiao main
Childe
Shoutout to veteran childe players, I mean after I go back to range stance idfk what to do, aiming is hard😔. Crit rate barely going above 47% 😞 it's a universal struggle also are those 10/10/10 talents I see 👀?
Jean
🤔 Most I've played with are just standard healers and I've never been yeeted by one either. I thought this was a sacred act that Jean mains must perform in co op? :( then why exclude me?
Venti
That back hole every is active all the time, do you not have any cooldown? How much ER do you have???
Hu tao
First to die or never die at all. No in between, also how does it feel like living in the cwof domain? How much of your soul did u sell for that crit circlet?
+new addition
Noelle
You scare me

✨ Navia Geo DPS Build ✨
Tumblr media
🌕 I wasn't originally gonna pull for Navia but I was experiencing burn out with Genshin with no new character to build. I had planned to pull for either Nahida or C1 Neuvillette but when Navia's banner dropped, she seemed fun and overall just a very pretty character. As someone who takes pleasure in admiring character's design through game photography, I finally gave in to temptation and decided to just pull for her. If I lost, I'd keep it for other character.
🌕 Turns out, I got Navia and she easily made me relive my old glory days of being a Ningguang main. Being a geo character who doesn't scale off def like Itto or Noelle makes her versatile in terms of team comps. I can literally switch her out with Ningguang using the same team and she's good to go.
🌕 Disclaimer: This build is not perfect and by no means should be treated as a rigid rule. I just share what I have tested in game and what I know works for me. So always do your own research and take my guide with that note in mind!
Artifact Set
Tumblr media
🌕 Navia's BiS set comes at the same time as her release. Nighttime Whispers easily caters to her kit as her main source of damage comes from her skill. She also gets geo damage bonus from the 4 pc set while she's protected by crystallize shield.
🌕 But if you don't have a good 4 pc Nighttime Whispers on hand right now, you can use other mix sets in the mean time such as:
4 pc Golden Troupe (in quick swap team)
2 pc atk% (Gladiator/Shimenawa/Vermilion/Echoes) 2 pc Golden Troupe
2 pc atk% 2 pc atk% (Gladiator/Shimenawa/Vermilion/Echoes)
2 pc Archaic Petra 2 pc atk% (Gladiator/Shimenawa/Vermilion/Echoes)
2 pc Archaic Petra 2 pc Golden Troupe
🌕 Here are the stats:
Artifact stats: atk% sands, geo damage bonus goblet, crit circlet
Ratio to follow: 1:3 crit ratio with >70% crit rate (her damage is typical one shot, so she has to crit all the time otherwise it would be a dps lost), >2.000 atk, >130% ER (with double geo in the team)
Team Composition
Tumblr media
🌕 Since Navia scales off atk just like many other dps, she can easily benefit from the OG Genshin support such as Bennett and 2 pyro resonance. She's basically the 5* version of Ningguang from the team to her stats. Just note that Navia will rely a lot on crystallize production as gaining crystallize will increase her stack which will emphasize her damage output. So put another element that can create crystallize reaction (anything except dendro and anemo).
🌕 The 2 geo 2 pyro party is her most popular team comp for the moment as she gets buffed from 2 element the resonance. But you can also put her with another element or even hyper carry team with Furina and Mona.
🌕 A little tip from me: Don't bring more than 2 element in the team as it can mess up with the crystallize reaction. It's something that I learned trying to bring 3 elements (hydro, pyro, geo) in her team and before Navia can produce any crystallize, the element aura on enemies had disappeared first because of vaporize reaction thus the crystallize production becomes inconsistent.
Weapon Choice
Tumblr media
🌕 Navia (and many other Fontaine dps) are relatively f2p friendly when it comes to weapon choices. She can even use weapons with energy recharge stats on them and will still perform just fine. The easiest weapon to obtain is craftable from early game, and if you had the chance to finish the event Roses and Muskets, Ultimate Overlord also works amazing as it covers her ER needs and gives a bounty of atk% bonus.
🌕 Left to right:
Verdict (signature and BiS)
Serpent Spine (battle pass exclusive)
Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword (event exclusive)
Wolf's Gravestone (5* weapon available on standard banner)
Prototype Archaic (craftable)
Favonius Greatsword
Sacrificial Greatsword
Talent Priority
Tumblr media
🌕 I would recommend on prioritizing her skill first, and then you can level up the rest until 6 just to help a little with her damage while her skill is on cooldown. Tbh the damage multiplier isn't that great but it's still much appreciated.
So that’s pretty much my Navia build. Feel free to ask me questions if you have any through my ask box or just leave comment on this post and I’ll respond right away!
Don’t forget to check out my other builds here!

navia explained + should you pull?
Tumblr media
Hello everyone! Navia is out and I can't wait to talk about her!! Unfortunately I lost my 50/50 (to dehya...) so I won't be able to talk about my personal experiences playing her but I still have lots to talk about.
Here's what i'll be discussing today (table of contents i guess?)
1 ・❥・ brief overview of her playstyle
2 ・❥・explaining her essay of an elemental skill in a reasonable amount of words hoyo pls stop with the novels
3 ・❥・builds and teams
4 ・❥・ strengths and weaknesses
5 ・❥・ should you pull
let's begin!!
╰┈➤ part 1 ➤ navia's playstyle
Navia is a geo DPS with most of her damage coming from her skill. Her damage is frontloaded, meaning she deals a large amount of damage early on and very quickly. Her burst has some off-field geo damage over time and her passive gives her a Geo infusion. The damage of her skill is increased by stacks gained when you pick up crystallize shards Navia is pretty unique in that she can be played mainly off-field as a more quickswap unit or onfield to utilize her infusion
╰┈➤ part 2 ➤ wtf does her skill do
When any of your characters picks up a crystallize shard (from the crystallize reaction), Navia will gain 1 stack. She can have up to 6 stacks. When you use her skill, she consumes all stacks to fire shots of Geo damage The number of stacks consumed will increase the number of shots fired. When multiple shots hit the same opponent, the damage is increased. Every stack consumed past 3 stacks will also increase the damage The skill starts with 2 charges, meaning it can be used twice in a row without needing to wait for the cooldown Holding the skill will cause her to continually collect crystallize shards until it is released. TL;DR: Collect crystallize shards to gain stacks, then consume all stacks and fire shots based on the number of stacks consumed
╰┈➤ part 3 ➤ how to build navia
important note!! she just came out and I haven't seen many calculations yet so please take everything I say with a grain of salt The new Geo set is very good on her but the second set in that domain is basically useless. The domain is kind of a "resin trap" and not really recommended to farm. - If you play Navia with Furina, 4pc Marechaussee Hunter is her best set - 4pc Golden Troupe is also a good alternative to the new set but you need to use your skill very quickly upon entering the field. Because of the short duration of the buff once on-field, pretty much only your first skill will get the buff from the 4pc - Other than that you can just use 2pc/2pc artifact main stats: - attack sands - geo damage goblet - crit rate/crit damage circlet next up, weapons verdict ➤ signature weapon, BIS beacon of the reed sea ➤ gives useful stats redhorn stonethresher ➤ gives useful stats the unforged ➤ gives attack which can be nice wolf's gravestone ➤ gives attack which can be nice serpent spine ➤ amazing choice!! her best four star. At R5 it's very comparable to verdict in terms of damage ultimate overlord's mega magic sword (event weapon) ➤ really good choice, lots of attack and a bit of ER which can be useful in some teams sacrificial greatsword ➤ pretty good choice, helps a ton in teams where she's the only Geo character and finally, teams! Navia is actually very versatile so instead of listing very possible team, i'm gonna go over a few good teammate options bennett ➤ Insanely broken character, Navia really benefits from his attack buff. Bennet isn't usually a good choice as a healer in Furina teams but because Navia doesn't take up much field time, you can take some time to heal up your characters with Bennett's burst to build your Furina stacks xiangling ➤ Xiangling is also really broken. She can apply Pyro off-field which can be useful for Navia. She is pretty much always played with Bennett who, as mentioned, is a great character to play with Navia furina ➤ Great damage, Hydro application, and damage buffing. Navia's short field-time allows for more flexibility within your healer choices zhongli ➤ Amazing shielder. Provides Geo resonance which boosts her damage. He can also help produce crystallize shards albedo ➤ Geo resonance, off-field damage, can produce crystallize shards since she has a TON more characters she can work with, i'm also gonna provide some criteria for characters that can work well with her ➤ Off-field elemental application. can be through summons or effects that trigger with normal attacks ➤ DPS characters with downtime ➤ DPS characters with flexible field time (characters who can swap off during burst such as Noelle) ➤ Other characters with low field time
╰┈➤ part 4 ➤ strengths and weaknesses
+ Navia's teams are very versatile. She can fit in to a number of different teams and her low field time makes it easier to do so. She has good damage that is from her skill, meaning you don't have to build as much ER on her. She also has a very flexible playstyle and can be played on-field or off-field. She's also very easy to play - There is no character that Navia has "perfect synergy" with. This can make some of her teams feel a bit awkward. Her quick field time is nice but may feel weird if you don't account for it when building your teams.
╰┈➤ part 5 ➤ should you pull navia
i talk a lot in this section so you can skip to the end of it for a tldr) From what i've seen so far, Navia seems like a very balanced unit. You most likely wont regret pulling her unless you dislike her playstyle. But if you don't like her or her playstyle, she probably isn't a character you will regret skipping. Navia is an awesome unit with awesome damage and versatile teams. But you shouldn't feel forced to pull her because, in my opinion, she isn't "broken". Her very large amounts of frontloaded damage might make her seem game-breaking and OP but they are balanced out by her low amounts of sustained damage. This does not mean she is bad though!! As I said, she is balanced. I'm trying to push my point of her being balanced and not broken because, as Zy0xx said, her large frontloaded damage makes it easy for people to screenshot her numbers and say "look at this she's broken" which is kinda misleading. I'm not saying to get mad at people posting her damage or using it for thumbnails and call them liers or clickbaiters!! People are allowed to get excited for a character and who doesn't love big numbers. To sum it all up: Navia is a great choice if you want a DPS and a great choice if you like her. She's easy to play, strong, and you probably won't regret it. But skipping her isn't a huge, account ruining mistake and there are many other DPS characters and teams who perform similarly to her
that's all for today!! I hope this post was helpful. Don't hesitate to comment or send in an ask for more questions on Navia or literally anything else relating to what I do (more info in pinned post)
p7 of my explaining every character post will probably come later today
good luck on your pulls (or primo saving!!). If you're reading this, thank you for listening to what I have to say, I really appreciate it
Have an amazing day!!

obey me cast + their genshin mains
i woke up at like three in the morning and scribbled this all down
not a formal writing piece so i haven’t formatted it like one, but i thought this was a fun idea!!
Tumblr media
lucifer: diluc
they both have Fatherly Issues (in very different ways though)
probably inwardly makes fun of diluc for not liking wine
doesn’t really have any emotional attachment??? he just keeps diluc because he does a lot of damage and helps kill enemies quick
he actually has pretty good luck with getting 5 stars before he’s even hit pity, but he has awful luck on the event banners in terms of getting the featured 5 star - he’s never once won the 50/50 when he actually reaches it
gets really good artifact and weapon drops though so all of his levelled-up characters have super overpowered kits
he’s never actually looked up any recommended character builds, he’s just smart enough to figure out what all the stats mean and build his characters accordingly
has not touched his serenitea pot since he got it
not actually great with battle strategy and elemental reaction, he just tries to hit as hard as he can at all times
all of his characters are built dps because he doesn’t know how to build supports or healers
never teleports anywhere (he still hasn’t even unlocked half the waypoints)
didn’t realise the statues of seven healed until really late into the game
doesn’t bother with the reputation quests/bounties
all of his characters are still on that black glider that amber first gives you
it took him ages to finish the archon quest in mondstadt because he didn’t want to go into the cathedral
mammon: zhongli
accidentally got zhongli on like his very first event wish and has mained him ever since
he thinks it’s really funny that zhongli never has money (even though he also often has no money)
apart from that he likes the idea of playing the character that literally makes all the mora in teyvat
was actually considering switching after he finished the liyue archon quests because he absolutely hated how zhongli handled the whole thing but he didn’t want to give up that big pp damage
still doesn’t know that you can climb up onto dvalin in the stormterror battle
mixes and matches artifacts, but the ones he does use have really good stats and sub stats though so the lack of a set bonus doesn’t make much difference
didn’t realise you could increase talent levels until ar 50
loves doing the blossoms of wealth and hasn’t let his mora drop below 100k ever since he accidentally used it all up levelling his team to lv60
immediately does a wish as soon as he gets enough primos, unless it’s an event banner for a character he doesn’t like
he also ignores the story and hangout quests for the characters he doesn’t like
dabbles in the serenitea pot but doesn’t have the patience to really commit to it
forgets to do his commissions until the very last minute and lets his resin fill up to 160 before remembering that he’s not supposed to let it get full
is terrified of spiral abyss on a molecular level
levi: barbara
he loves idols so of course barbara is his favourite
has her built dps and does more vaporise damage with her charged attacks than some people’s 5 star bursts
ended up building lisa as a dps too because she makes fighting the oceanid for the cleansing hearts much easier
somehow still gets barbara to heal enormous chunks of hp as well??
has all three of her talents crowned, she’s lv90 and so is her 5 star weapon, plus all of her artifacts are +20
he likes getting the event 5 stars even if he’s never going to build them, they just make him feel superior in his luck
has really bad artifact drops which makes him really frustrated because he knows exactly how to build his characters with the perfect stats, he just can’t get the right artifacts!!!!!
keeps getting crit dmg, crit rate and atk% sub stats on defence circlets and it makes him die a little more on the inside each time
he despises jean because of how she makes barbara feel and desperately wants mihoyo to make a moment where jean tries to fight something but fails and barbara then steps in and takes it down immediately
never gets barbara’s constellations with makes him very upset because he wants c6 so BAD
nearly cried when he got barbara’s happy birthday voiceline
somehow got his serenitea pot to adeptal energy 20k within like two weeks but it doesn’t look good?? it’s just a whole bunch of 4 star furnishings shoved wherever there’s room
is pretty much always online at any given time
has nearly every single achievement in the game (goddammit just GIVE HIM THE RELIABLE HELPER COMMISSION)
satan: diona
this is not up for debate
he saw her in the character archive and immediately decided that if he didn’t get her he was quitting the game
luckily for him it was xiao’s banner around this time and he managed to get c3 diona from that alone
much like levi with barbara, he managed to build her so that she does enormous amounts of damage but still performs her shielding/healing really well
he prioritises her over everyone else but because of this diona is still his only fully-built character
all talents crowned, all artifacts +20, etc
hates draff with all his heart and refuses to buy anything from him
will murder you if you refer to diona as a loli in front of him
i’m aware keqing also sort of looks like she has cat ears but as far as i know that’s just her hair???
if anything i feel like satan wouldn’t like her because he’s offended that people think those chunk of hair look remotely like a cat’s cute lil ears
chose all his other team members based solely on whether or not their skill set would benefit diona
refuses to use any of the characters lucifer uses and got legitimately angry when he found out lucifer had started building diona to help with spiral abyss
spends like five minutes at a time making diona jump into water because he thinks the cannon ball animation is the cutest thing in the world
if a boss he’s fighting manages to kill diona, he gets so angry that he pretty much obliterates it immediately after
asmo: lisa
partially because she’s pretty and her personality is right up his alley, and partially out of pettiness because he sees so many people slandering her
doesn’t know how to build anyone, he’s only got a good lisa build out of sheer luck
none of his other characters have remotely good builds. like, maiden’s beloved on tartaglia?? really, asmo???
squealed when lisa called traveller a cutie
talks to her while he’s running about doing quests or battles
plays pretty sparingly so his ar is relatively low and he barely has any characters outside the starters
usually gets levi to one shot the bosses for him when he needs to ascend/upgrade the talents of his characters
(levi agrees because it gives him a pretty big power trip)
he also likes kaeya and has him in his team but lisa’s magic is just so pretty to him
spends all his primos on the standard banner trying to get lisa constellations but he still only has c4
all of the solo boss battles he’s won were only won out of sheer luck
adores the concept of the serenitea pot, but he doesn’t like a lot of the furnishings available
desperately wants a character customisation function
died seven times trying to do the stormterror fight and had to have levi do it for him in the end
still doesn’t done any of the story quests that you need a key for
spends most of his free time finding some pretty landscapes, changing the time, and taking pictures of lisa doing one of her idles against the sunset
beel: xiangling
decided he liked her as soon as he did her story quest
he’s only gotten up to floor 4 of spiral abyss because he only did floor 3 to get her
still only has c2 :((((
always has to have snacks with him while he’s gaming because xiangling’s voice lines remind him of how hungry he is
desperately wishes she was real because he wants to taste how good her food is for himself
likes cooking a bunch of dishes in-game, but he also gets frustrated because they all look so GOOD and he can’t eat them
doesn’t really know how building works but he does vaguely know what stats are good and how set bonuses work
doesn’t like hu tao because she’s mean to xiangling >:( plus belphie despises her and beel rarely likes anything his twin dislikes
is low-key upset that xiangling’s story quest was so early in the game because he didn’t appreciate it enough at the time and he hasn’t seeb her in-game for ages
still doesn’t have any 5 stars apart from the traveller, but he does have literally every 4 star in the game
is the type to bring xiangling to pyro domains but luckily she does some pretty good physical dmg as well so his teammates don’t get as mad
takes some time out of every day to find every food/ingredient vendor in the game and buy out their entire stock
still has never run out of mora somehow????
belphie: qiqi
i made this choice partially because of that one halloween belphie ur where he’s dressed up in a jiangshi costume
aside from that i feel like she just sends his big brother instincts haywire
he cried a little bit when he read her backstory, not gonna lie
like satan, he will kill you if you call qiqi a loli
somehow managed to build her as a physical dps that does like 5000 per hit?????
(he has unholy artifact luck and all of qiqi’s artis have atk, crit dmg and crit rate as their stats and sub-stats, plus aquila favonia)
he started out building her as an all-around dps but then he realised that her burst and skill couldn’t do much in terms of damage since they’re healing-oriented, so he decided to build her physical since that the only type of dmg she can constantly apply
and qiqi still heals reliably because her healing is scaled off her attack, which is like monstrously high???
qiqi hates hu tao so of course belphie does too
he still refuses to do her story quest and didn’t touch her banner or character trial
really really wants a qiqi banner for constellations but is aware that that is incredibly unlikely
doesn’t trust baizhu and wants zhongli to adopt qiqi since he seems like a much more reliable dad
heard the theory that xiao is the adeptus that killed qiqi and therefore also despises him even though it hasn’t even been concerned or anything
diavolo: eula
don’t get me wrong diavolo definitely gives me pyro vibes but i feel like he’d just feel so bad for how the mondstadters misunderstand and mistreat eula in her story quest that he’d immediately go to spend all his primos on wishing for her
he’s got r2 broken pines and a full pale flame artifact set with some pretty decent stats and substats on her so she does pretty enormous damage
it’s lucky that eula’s move set doesn’t require anything too strategic because all diavolo does is button mash
all of his characters are physical damage dealers because he doesn’t really know how to do elemental reactions
(because of this though he’s awful at fighting a lot of the bosses, especially the oceanid)
his favourite boss battle is the weekly golden house trounce domain because he can always smack childe down really quickly
he’s stinking rich so he can afford to spend just about as much money as he wants to get any character he wants
like he got all the way to pity on eula’s banner and lost the 50/50 to mona but he just bought more primos and got all the way to pity again to get eula
on the other hand he got broken pines twice in two ten rolls on the weapon banner and he wasn’t anywhere near pity for that
he joined levi along with satan and asmo to have a go at doing the golden house fight in co-op and he managed to pretty much oneshot a lv90 childe in phase 1 and phase 3 with just eula’s burst
(he spent phase 2 recharging it)
barbatos: venti
this is at least 70% because venti is also called barbatos
he somehow knows pretty much everything there is to know about building characters well and he’s built venti with both attack and elemental mastery
got venti on his first banner and managed to get to c4 on his rerun
doesn’t appreciate how much venti drinks and actively buys the non-alcoholic juices from angel’s share to give him as if that’ll help????
is terrified of fighting the wolf because it’s immune to anemo
(don’t ask how he managed to get the hurricane seeds for ascending venti)
can pretty much fire off venti’s burst as soon as it’s over because his energy recharge is somehow also insane
diligently collects all the recipes and masters every single one of them
his serenitea pot is literally so perfect looking????? i don’t know how to describe it everything just fits together flawlessly
diavolo offers to buy him primos because he’s got more than enough money but barbatos doesn’t wish a whole lot so he usually refuses
(diavolo knew he mained venti and liked him though so he bought him a bunch for the rerun anyway)
he still doesn’t have any five star weapons but stringless works really well on venti anyway so he doesn’t mind
doesn’t really like co-op, prefers to just wander around in his own world
simeon: yanfei
simeon definitely gives me hydro vibes and he probably mained a hydro before yanfei, but i feel like he happened to get her on zhongli’s banner and decided he really liked her as soon as he started trying her out
he adores her little ‘boom boom!’
she also works really well doing big damage with vaporise which is good because simeon plays a lot with luke, who mains barbara
he low key identifies with how yanfei doesn’t want to focus on her identity as an immortal half-adeptus because simeon himself often wants to forget the fact that he’s a divine being and just live peacefully
often forgets that yanfei gets a lot of her dmg from charged attacks and just keeps doing normal attack combos until he registers the scarlet seals and realises he needs to hold the button down
nearly all of his characters were basically backseat-built by levi and solomon
even though his team is pretty powerful he still dies a bunch because his battle strategy is just ‘stand there and keep hitting the attack button until it dies’
keeps running off of cliffs and forgetting to plunge/glide and just dying to fall damage
back when he was like ar20 he accidentally wandered into liyue early and immediately got killed by a treasure hoarder
spent like ten minutes of his first stormterror fight just running off the end of his platform before someone told him he was meant to glide
luke: barbara as well
if you’ve seen my post about barbara and luke being siblings you’ll understand why i’ve made this choice
aside from that luke just likes barbara because she’s one of the nicest characters in the game
plus she’s a deaconess in a church and he’s an angel so
unlike levi he’s got her built purely as a healer, but she heals so MUCH
luke’s entire team is just support characters?? but their support is so good that they kind of make each other dpses in their own right??
his strategy is to keep his whole team at full hp and deal relatively small but very steady increments of damage
unfortunately this means he isn’t great at the artifact and weapon/character enhancement domains because they’ve got time limits
wants to have a pretty serenitea pot but he just can’t get it to look how he wants it to
like levi, he doesn’t like jean because of how she makes barbara feel (and also how jean just refuses to take any sort of older sister role for her)
got her to c6 on a single event banner because she just kept coming home (he wasn’t complaining though)
is contemplating building her dps because he thinks it’d be cool if she did a bunch of damage like levi’s barbara
likes to just sit and wait for her to do her dancing idle because he thinks it’s cute (will immediately make her move and cut off the other one though because it’s about jean and he doesn’t like her)
solomon: albedo
they both look sensible but they’re both just mad scientists on the inside
doesn’t really know how albedo’s burst and skill work, just keeps tapping buttons whenever they’re available
if he didn’t have albedo he’d probably main a catalyst but he relates to how curious albedo is about just about everything
(plus he does like his design)
always gets the limited time 5 star on his first ten pull on the event banners????? is he using his magic somehow??????
and also somehow gets really good weapons and artifacts????
he knows enough about artifacts to know what to put on who so all of his characters are really well built
he’s the type with eight lv90 5-stars with lv90 5-star weapons and fully upgraded artifact sets in his character showcase
his signature is ‘hack me i dare you’
constantly getting friend requests from fellow players who want an op friend to help them in domains and against bosses
but unfortunately even if solomon has a bunch of overpowered characters he is very bad at using them
gets all the elemental reactions wrong, uses the wrong element against the wrong enemy, forgets to do things like putting albedo’s skill down before his ult, and he can’t aim with any of the archers
like i said he just taps buttons and hopes for the best
because of this he’s still at floor 6 in spiral abyss

F2P Yanfei Build Tips
Tumblr media
I mentioned in a previous post that I really think pulling on the upcoming Zhongli banner is a great idea for newer players and especially f2p players that have been saving their primos/are nearing pity. This is in large part because the new character Yanfei is looking like a very good character to add to your roster if you lack a main carry or Pyro DPS character.
Pyro is by no means required in this game, but Mihoyo definitely favors it over the other elements. It has access to the two best reactions in the game, melt and vaporise, and can be used with electro for overload to break shields with ease. Dendro when Mihoyo?
Yanfei seems like a f2p player’s dream character, she’s basically a budget Klee. Plus, she’s adorable and has a unique back story akin to Ganyu’s! Unless you just don’t like her design for whatever reason, I highly recommend trying your luck to get her!
Here is a little f2p friendly guide to help you build her should you pull her ! :)
Talents and Ascension
Prioritize Yanfei’s normal attacks when building her talents. Most of her damage will come from Charged Attacks, so her damage will scale better by leveling up her autos first.
Her burst should be second priority since it has a higher damage multiplier. Her skill can be saved for last.
She will require a boss drop from Azhdaha, Bloodjade Branch. Azhdaha is the new weekly boss being introduced in 1.5. Be sure to challenge him once a week!
Other items you will need to ascend her as a character are Agnius Agate, Primordial Jade, Noctilucous Jade, and Treasure Hoarder Insignias!
Weapon
If Yanfei is as much like Klee as she sounds, then the Widsith will likely be her BiS 4 star weapon. Obviously, if you have a 5 star catalyst then use that! If you don’t have either of these, don’t fret! The Mappa Mare is a craftable weapon and is a great choice!
Mappa Mare scales with Elemental Mastery, which is fantastic for a character that relies on reactions to do damage. It’s passive is also useful, granting a 10% elemental damage bonus when an elemental reaction is triggered. This effect can stack twice and scales higher with refinement.
Other great weapons if you have them on hand are the Blackcliff Agate and Solar Pearl. These weapons are great because they provide additional crit dmg and crit rate respectively. Blackcliff can be purchased in the shop with star glitter while the Solar Pearl is a BP exclusive weapon.
Artifacts
*If you are not AR45+* I do not recommend wasting your resin on artifacts. Wait until you’re world level 7 and challenge Lv 90 domains to get guaranteed 5 star artifact drops.*
I’ll also use Klee again for inspiration here. The ideal artifact set for Yanfei would likely be Wanderers Troupe 4pc set. WT is very hard to farm though so Crimson Witch or Lava Walker sets would be good alternatives. In terms of priority I’d say it’s WT > WT/CW > CW > LW but it really just depends on the quality of the artifacts.
For main stats your timepiece should be Atk% unless you have very low Elemental Mastery. If you’re using Mappa Mare and have at least a 2pc Wanderers Troupe set then I’d go with Atk% as a main stat. I’d also use Atk% if you plan on pairing her with Sucrose, since she provides free EM to her teammates. If you are not using Mappa Mare or you don’t have good rolls for EM on your artifacts than shoot for EM as the main stat. So, Atk > EM unless your EM is <100ish.
The cup should 100% be Pyro Dmg Bonus. If you don’t have a single Pyro cup you can run atk% until you do get a Pyro cup.
The circlet should be Crit rate or Crit Dmg, depending which one gets you closer to the ideal 1:2 crit ratio. If your crit rate is <50% I’d say go with Crit Rate over Crit Dmg for more consistency. If you have >50% crit rate then prioritize Crit Dmg.
Sub stats should be prioritized as: Crit rate = Crit Dmg > atk% > elemental mastery > energy recharge > flat Atk and pray you don’t get too many Def or HP rolls.
Team Comp
Yanfei will preform best in a quick swap reaction based team. She will have the best synergy with Hydro, Cryo, Anemo and other Pyro characters. And wouldn’t you know it? Diona will be given away for free in 1.5!
Diona is a fantastic support character, and especially to Yanfei for several reasons:
Cryo application for Melt procs. Diona can apply Cryo with her skill as well as her Burst.
Diona has one of the better shields in the game. As a charged attacker, Yanfei will benefit from the interruption resistance that a shield provides. Diona’s shield scales with HP, so it’s relatively easy to build. It also provides a movement speed increase which is pretty cool and can cleanse other elements off of you to remove unwanted debuffs.
Her burst heals while dealing Cryo damage. This synergizes great with Yanfei. If you happen to have her at max constellation, Diona provides a hefty elemental mastery buff to her teammates inside the AoE of her burst too!
Diona can make use of multiple artifact sets. The new Millieth set looks fantastic for her on paper. She can also utilize the 4pc Maiden Beloved set or pair it with Scholar/Exile. If you lack a Energy Recharge weapon such as Sacrificial Bow or Favonius Warbow, then a simple 2pc Scholar/2pc Exile will work exceptionally well on her. Stack HP% on her timepiece, cup, and circlet to get the most out of her healing and shield.
There are several other characters you could pair with Yanfei and Diona to get a solid team comp. It ultimately comes down to which characters you have in your roster, but for the sake of this build we’ll rely on free characters that everyone has access to.
For the third slot of this team comp, an Anemo character that can utilize Viridescent Venerer artifact set would be great for shredding Pyro resistance for Yanfei. Don’t have Venti, Sucrose, or Jean? Don’t worry, Anemo MC works great as a VV support thanks to their ability to reliably swirl! They also have a fair amount of crowd control and can reach c6 very easily.
For the last slot in this specific team I recommend Bennett if you have him, but if you don’t have him, Xiangling works great! Either way we will be using this slot as a burst support/nuke. I choose these two characters because they are Pyro, which gives the team Pyro resonance, increasing party Atk by 25%! I also chose them because they can both utilize 4pc Noblesse Oblige artifact set. The idea is to use their burst to increase the overall damage of the team. Again, Bennett is perfect for this role but I’ll focus on Xiangling since she’s free to everyone.
Yanfei + Diona + Traveler + Xiangling is a team that will use quick swap play style. Quickswap is a form of play that relies on swapping characters in and out more frequently for higher combined damage, as opposed to Sustained play style where one character is dealing most of the damage. This team can be used in a 4 step rotation:
1.) Start with Xiangling and use her skill or burst to apply Pyro to enemies/activate the NO boost.
2.) Once Pyro is applied, swap to the Traveler and use their skill to swirl Pyro against enemies. This will activate VV 4pc boost, which shreds swirled enemy’s resistance to Pyro by 60%
3.) Swap to Diona and apply Cryo with her skill or Ult.
4.) Finally, Swap Yanfei in and use her charged attacks/burst to proc melts and do big pp damage.
Other 4 ⭐️ characters that can be used with Yanfei include Bennett, Barbara, Chongyun, Sucrose, Xingqiu, Xinyan, Rosaria, and Kaeya. Shoot for Pyro resonance for that sweet Atk buff. Hydro or Cryo for vape and melt procs (Xingqiu is fantastic for this if you have him) and a VV user for resistance shredding (unless you have Zhongli as his shield will shred resistance for you!)
Yanfei can also be used with Electro characters like Fischl for niche shield breaking. Keep in mind that Overload does push enemies back and often requires you to sprint to keep up with them. Charged attackers like Yanfei do not like to sprint too much.
Geo resonance is also a solid choice for her if you have Zhongli, Albedo, or both. If you lack these 5 ⭐️ characters I’d use her in the standard Pyro + Anemo + Hydro/Cryo comp because she doesn’t really have the greatest synergy with other geo characters.
TLDR:
Yanfei is a Pyro DPS character very similar to Klee. She can make use of the 4⭐️ craftable weapon, Mappa Mare; use Wanderer’s Troupe, Crimson Witch or Lavawalker artifact sets with Atk/EM timepiece, Pyro Bonus goblet, and Crit circlet. She ascends with Noctilucous Jade and Primordial Jade, and her talents level up with Bloodjade Branch from new weekly boss Azhdaha. She pairs well with quick swap teams that focus on vaporise and melt elemental reactions!
I hope some people find this helpful! Again, I think Yanfei has really good potential and would make a great addition to your team if you’re looking for another main carry. If you’re new or f2p she’s a great alternative to characters like Diluc and Klee for both overworld and Abyss. Zhongli is also a very good character to have so you really can’t go wrong pulling on this rate up.

Project 888 - Day 149
Early post tonight because, well, no grinding. All I did today was daily shit and condense enough resin to not overflow by the time I start playing again tomorrow.
While I was at work today though I got to thinking about artifacts and how it would be nice to come up with a system for determining how good an artifact is exactly. Sure, you can look at it to determine that, but I thought it would be nice to put another number to it. So I came up with a metric that I like to call “Percent Power.”
I haven’t fully worked out the specifics yet, since I keep finding flaws in my ideas, but the basic idea of it is that Percent Power is a measure of how strong an artifact is compared to a similar artifact that is theoretically perfect.
For example, if all you cared about was CRIT DMG then a perfect artifact (excluding a Circlet of Logos with a CRIT DMG primary stat, of course) would have a 46.6% CRIT DMG stat. This is the 100%, essentially, as it’s perfect stat: this is the absolute maximum amount of CRIT DMG you can have on a single artifact (again, excluding the Circlet),
You can then compare the CRIT DMG of an artifact you have to this theoretical maximum to see how good it is. This is an oversimplification though, as you wouldn’t realistically be stacking pure CRIT DMG unless you’re specifically trying to hit the highest possible damage number for your character.
But stuff gets fuzzy when you throw a second stat into the mix, so I’m at a bit of a crossroads when it comes to choosing how to proceed. One idea I had was to instead look at all of an artifact’s stats together to determine how good it is. The issue here is that not every stat is relevant, and the stats that are vary from character to character. That said, for almost every character it’s pretty much the same four things: CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, Energy Recharge, and whatever the character’s most important stat is.
Alternatively, I could stick with “one perfect stat is 100%” and thus it would be possible to have an above 100% artifact. In this case, an absolutely perfect artifact with the four most relevant stats and perfect upgrades would be 150% (as the other three stats are all 1/6th of their maximum, which would each contribute 16.66%). The problem with this is that I feel like 100% should mean 100%, and not 150%.
Lastly, I thought about ignoring stats aside from CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, and just making it so that having those two maxed out would constitute 100%. But then some “100%” artifacts would be better than others, wouldn’t they?
I could also do a “weighted” Percent Power where some stats are worth more than others but I feel that would be unnecessarily complicated and difficult. I’m not sure which route I’ll take just yet, though at the moment I kinda like the sound of the “150%” idea the most. Because if you’re just straight up min-maxing, you only care about one stat in most cases and the rest is gravy.
Anyway, I might use Percent Power in the future if I show off any artifacts I get that are particularly good. I think it would be a fun way to indicate how rare something I get might be.

Big Masterlist of genshin resources for help B))
I've posted several different resources on my blog but I'm consolidating them here for easy access and editing in the future, lmk if you find other good resources!
Master spreadsheet for builds of literally everyone, along with weapon and artifact refs- this spreadsheet helped me to learn how to build because the info is very clear and concentrated, so you pick up on patterns easier
they split up the character builds from the weapon catalogue so here is the weapon catalogue
Here is a link to a post i did detailing how artifacts work, since the text in-game can be a bit confusing
This is a link to a spreadsheet that helps you determine whether to use atk, crit rate, or crit dmg on ur circlet slot; its niche but useful. Disclaimer: idk whether special cases like noelles c6 is taken into account here, im pretty sure its not.
Paimon.moe- overall just a super helpful resource, its big functions are a character/ weapon buliding schedule (incase you are buliding muliple characters/ get overwhelmed/ need a resin spending schedule) as well as analyzing and charting your wish history so you can see how much you wished on each banner and when you got 4*/5*s. It is safe to use since you dont give a password, it doesnt inject code into the game, and all the code is open-source.
Genshin Optimizer is a super cool theorycrafting tool that allows you to build your characters on this website. It allows you to easily compare artifacts, as it also calculates a character’s damage based on their build. You can further get a picture of your damage by putting your characters in teams, letting you apply buffs from other characters (pyro resonance, benny buff, etc.). Now, it is a bit complicated to get started, but the front page is full of tutorial videos on how to use the different functions on the website.
Keqing Mains: a lot of theorycrafting and character builds. There are TCG resources as well as tested and verified team comps avaliable. Their guides range from quick guides (like an infograohic) to indepth (an entire web page). Overall more technical, but an absolutely stellar resource. Also lots of cool art featured in their in depth guides.
GenSheets: a bunch of spreadsheets of helpful trackers, archives, and calculators. Currently they have a personal & community wish tracker, a personal “bank”, a sprite archive,  a furnishing set tracker, and a whole bunch of calculators & drop rate trackers.

Zhongli shield bot/support build guide!
More detailed info below!
!GENERAL INFO
Zhongli is a great unit with one of the best shields in the game and pretty good burst damage. This guide will mainly be for people who purely want to use him for his shield and not his burst damage. Overall, this is a pretty low investment build for Zhongli, so if you don’t feel like putting that much recourses into your Zhongli, this might be a great build for you! If there are any requests for a more damage orientated Zhongli, let me know and i’ll consider making one!
!ARTIFACTS
For late game players, tenacity of the millelith is the best set for shield bot/support Zhongli. With the 2 piece giving you more HP and the 4 piece buffing the other members in your team ATK. For main stats (sands, goblet and circlet), you want HP% as your main stat. For substats you’re looking for HP% and ER. The only exception is if you’re using favonious lance as a weapon! Because of it’s passive, you’re also gonna want CRIT Rate on your substats and circlet if you can’t get enough CRIT Rate from your substats alone. I recommend around 50% + CRIT Rate!
For early game players, 4 piece the exile is a great set! With the 4 piece giving energy to your whole team over 6 seconds every time you use Zhongli’s burst.
!WEAPONS
As for weapons, there are quite some good options. The weapons for shield bot Zhongli are also pretty F2P friendly. Overall, all these weapons are pretty good for shield bot/support Zhongli.
!TEAM COMPS/SYNERGY
For synergy, i mainly put geo characters, although this doesn’t mean Zhongli is only useful in geo teams! I mainly put geo characters because of the resonance you get when you have two or more geo characters in your team, giving you extra shield strenght and more geo damage. Now, this is not a must! If you’re considering, go for it since its really good.
Zhongli fits in almost any team comp, honestly you can throw him in any team as a shielder and you’ll be completely fine.
!CONCLUSION
Zhongli is a great unit to have if you’re looking for a good shielder. Shield bot/support Zhongli is quite F2P friendly and doesn’t need that much investment for him to do his job.
