JUST watched a video about the Afton's and I really love their British accents, but I've seen people dislike it so.... I'm curious. Reblogs or comments welcomed, I really want to know people's thoughts on this!
#fnaf#five nights at freddy's#Afton#the aftons#poll#I'll be honest I love them being british it feels intimidating and makes them unique amongst all the american accents.#I'm also notoriously known for liking British voice acting over American because rarities like the amazing work for the aftons and#final fantasy 16's whole bloody cast feel much more familiar and nicer to me. Probably because the amount of american accents I hear in....#EVERYTHING feels like it's a little too much all the time.#I'm not british but maybe it's because my accent (being australian) is very close to it that I feel more connected to characters with#foreign accents rather than American. Plus I love the evil Bri'ish stereotype.#About that actually I love how Wiliam doesn't SOUND like a cliche British villain. He sounds just like any other bloke and it's terrifying.#Michael having that british accent that was well executed and full of emotion added LAYERS to his character#and ELIZABETH oh my god I can't imagine her with an american accent.#It's so weird to me that there's a chance that they're going the American accent route with the Afton's after so many years of bri'ish.#Was the yelling in the trailer (I believe) for Security Breach actually Afton talking to Vanessa or something? MF sounds like Monty#I have nothing against the new VA for William I'm just very confused and actually genuinely sad at the loss of PJ being William :')#Correct me if I am wrong and that voice ISN'T william (I could see it being spring bonnies voice instead??? kinda like how Baby is american#but I'm afraid we'll loose the british Aftons WAAA#ALSO ADDING TO THIS#It's driving me nuts who was the british lady in Matpats timeline video#WHO WAS SHE AND WHERE CAN I FIND HER VOICE AGAIN (Was it in the VR tapes?? I'M SO CONFUSED)

Okay so I had an intense fnaf movie theory
(⚠️SPOILERS FOR THE FNAF MOVIE⚠️)
Tumblr media
So starting off, one of the major plot points of the film is that Vanessa is William's Afton's daughter, and that Mike and Abby don't seem to be related to them at all, right?
And there's a theory about the Golden Freddy Spirit BEING an Afton kid. Not just the blonde hair (the actor isn't a natural blonde, it was dyed for his role) but the way the kid seems to react to everything.
He remembers his death. That's a plot point for the other kids, that they don't remember their deaths and the drawings make them believe the Yellow Rabbit is a friend. But he does seem to remember, since he told Mike through a drawing that the Yellow Rabbit killed his brother.
It's uncertain why he doesn't tell the other kids, or why his main goal is getting Abby rather than getting revenge, but it seems he's playing William like a pawn rather than vice versa. It's only when William stabbed his sister Vanessa that he stepped in. And the way William reached out for him in the safe room like he was asking for help almost solidifies it.
Now back to my theory, I'm sure plenty of you have heard the theory that the Schmidts are actually Henry's children, not William's. It would explain why William drove 9 whole hours to kidnap some random kid in Nebraska if the kid wasn't actually random. Maybe a revenge scheme over some company fault.
So my thought is, the family dynamics with the Aftons and Emily's are switched in the games vs the movie.
Game:
Micheal Afton (eldest brother)
C.C Afton (supposedly middle brother)
Elizabeth Afton (supposedly youngest sister)
Charlie Emily (murdered twin)
Sammy Emily (supposedly survived twin)
Movie:
Mike Schmidt (eldest brother)
Garrett Schmidt (middle brother)
Abby Schmidt (youngest sister)
Golden Freddy Spirit (murdered twin)
Vanessa Shelly-Afton (survived twin)
I say twins because young Vanessa looks about the same age as GFS (although we don't know what year the photo was taken).
It feels like swapped dynamics to me. Garrett is a Charlie Emily parallel in their identical deaths, which could make both Mike and Abby Sammy Emily parallels as the surviving siblings. And the way Vanessa parallels Micheal A. (especially in her guilt and need to make up the kid's childhoods), would make GFS both C.C and Elizabeth. Honestly if GFS did have some sort of loyalty/passiveness to William murdering him like I mentioned, it definitely confirms an Elizabeth parallel.
I don't even need to mention how William makes Vanessa help him with his crimes (just like Micheal in the games) or how he plays with her guilt by blaming the mess on her (which suggests he would've blamed her brother's death on her, just like how Micheal feels guilty for C.C's death).
Sammy would probably also feel guilty for Charlie's murder, as that's how Charlie felt in the books when she thought it was Sammy who got taken. That was a situation that wasn't in the surviving sibling's control, just like how Mike couldn't stop Garrett's kidnapping. But GFS's murder could've been a preventable accident that Vanessa felt at blame for, just like Micheal for C.C (and probably Elizabeth).

i'mma be honest, I'm disappointed that Mike isn't an Afton, isn't William's son in the movie. One of the most fascinating parts of fnaf is the dynamic between Mike and William, father and son. Mike hunting down William, wanting absolute revenge and to put a stop to his father's sins forever. Not to mention how fascinating and twisted it is that William's creations ended up killing every single member of his family, himself included. I think changing that really saps away a lot of the chilling psychological aspects of fnaf.
It also worries me about future movies. Matthew Lillard said that it's apparently a three movie contract, so presumably we're gonna end up with a trilogy, if the first movie does well. But how are Mike and co. going to be logically pulled back into the situations at Freddy's if they don't have the familial link between Mike and William? Mike's involvement is seemingly resolved at the end of the movie, so why would he get tangled up in all of it again? Maybe to help Vanessa? I certainly hope they don't cast some new original characters to be the main characters of the next movie.

FNAF Movie Theory...
I'm pretty sure there's still one major plot twist in the universe of the movie that's been set up for a sequel but hasn't actually happened yet. Heavy spoilers under the cut:
After watching the movie in theaters and then revisiting a few scenes on Peacock, I'm still kind of convinced that Mike Schmidt is Michael Afton.
Here's my reasoning. A lot of the characters spend time acting like they know something the audience/other characters don't, and those things are...mostly resolved. But some of them just...kind of aren't.
The main thing that sticks out to me is William's whole storyline. Starting with the scene where he offers Mike the job, his behavior is almost explained by the movie's logic. He sees Mike's name, seems...kind of deeply upset, looks at him very closely, stands to get coffee, and has a moment of visible internal conflict. Then he instantly offers him the Freddy's job. The way the movie frames this, it seems to be saying that he recognized the name of one of his victims, realized this was the kid's brother, and decided to kill him right then and there. Which is passable as an explanation, but it has a lot of holes, if you look deeper.
Why would William so instantly recognize a fairly common last name as the brother of some kid he killed that wasn't even anywhere near Freddy's? Why did he kidnap/kill Garrett in the first place, in some random forest in Nebraska? Why did he see the name on the file, then immediately stop and examine Mike's face so closely, when Mike's memories/dreams pretty clearly show that they never saw each others' faces when Garrett was taken? Why did he send Vanessa to "keep Mike in the dark" if he purposely gave him the job to get him killed? Why not have the animatronics kill him right away? He didn't know that Mike was searching for the man who took his brother, and while he could have maybe guessed he was still actively haunted by what happened based on Mike beating up a guy that he thought was kidnapping someone, it still feels like a weird choice to go and hire him, then just have him do the job with no issue for a few days.
As for Vanessa, we see that she's been cleaning up William's messes for years. Why is Mike the one she changes her mind and stands up to her father for? There's no implied romance between the two and no particularly meaningful connection beyond them both having family issues. I guess she cares about Abby because she's a kid, but kids getting hurt clearly never stopped her from helping her father before.
And, on a more meta level, this is Scott and his storytelling style we're talking about. The man puts plot twists inside of plot twists and everything always ties back into the Aftons, somehow.
So, here's my theory: I think that Mike is William's kid, but Mike's mom left Afton when he was young and remarried the man that Mike thinks is his father.
It seems convoluted and maybe cliche, but if it's true, then suddenly there's an answer to all of those questions. "Michael Schmidt" isn't exactly an eye-catching name, unless you had a kid named Michael and your ex-wife married a guy with the last name Schmidt. Garrett's kidnapping, then, becomes an act of intentional, petty revenge rather than an extremely random coincidence. Giving Mike the job and sending in Vanessa suddenly becomes about piecing together how much he knows and figuring out if he's worth trying to reconnect with or is just a threat that needs to be killed. (It feels worth noting that William is as far as I can remember the only person to call him Michael in the whole film. He also very pointedly never says "Schmidt" until he's decided to kill Mike and suddenly announces his full name out loud. If he went by Michael as a little kid, that is what William would default to calling him, but if he took the new husband's last name, that would be like like salt in the wound that he wouldn't want to voice. By finally saying it out loud, it feels like he's making the decision to fully separate himself from Mike.)
As for Vanessa, if Mike is her brother, it makes sense that he would be the person she'd turn against William to save. It would be weird for her not to tell him, but she could also be trying to protect him, in some way. There's never any mention of her mother, and it seems like it's just been her and William for a long time. Also, ending the movie with her in a coma feels like a strange narrative choice, but it makes sense if she knows information that's purposely being kept hidden for the sequel.
Of course, it could just be that the movie has kind of messy writing and I'm trying to fix it because I want there to be a deeper reason for it. Maybe there is no Michael Afton in the movies, or maybe he's off chilling and doing his own thing somewhere and we'll see him in the sequel. Only time will tell.

Things from the ruin dlc that keep me up at night.
Spoilers under the cut.
SERIOUSLY DO NOT READ IF YOU'RE AVOIDING SPOILERS.
Disclaimer: I wrote this before I had seen Everything the DLC has to offer or all the endings yet. I was on the wrong track, but I think my cooking before I knew everything was good cooking. I have more concrete theories now under #danachan's rants
Something that I was 100% right about that I was going to write into Lofi eventually.... But I guess I'll talk about it now since the dlc confirmed it.
But Balloon Boy world was literally Eclipses cage as I suspected. It was suppressing them. It wasn't an evil arcade or Eclipse was living in there. Eclipse's AI was being suppressed in the arcade cabinet.
Eclipse is how they talk to eachother, and Eclipse was asleep and completely blocked off from the Virus. So Sun and Moon had no communication with eachother anymore. Which is why they were both so stressed and lost.
I was astounded I got that completely correct in regards to what Eclipse is, and what the balloon boy game is.
(the dlc does not explain the Dcas weird connection to Vanessa and why the arcade cabinet was in Afton's boss fight room though)
Bonus points Moon talks exactly how I write him when speaking about the Sun and the Moon.
Another thing that has been mind-blowing me that all the comic book endings are scenarios that GREGORY DREW.
And according to the dlc....
The Afton Burntrap Blob ending is another one of those endings that he drew.
Which means Peepaw Afton and the Blob were never real in the first place.
Which is why no one could really figure out what the blob is.
It doesn't exist.
Princess Quest ending was the canon ending.
Vanessa leaving the Pizzaplex with Gregory is the canon ending.
The ending where you fight Afton in the basement.... Never happened and was just Gregory attempting to make sense of the FNAF lore that Vanessa probably explained to him. Since in the DLC, we do find a book about Fazbear History in Vanny's room.
I honestly don't know if Steel Wool retroactively made Burntrap non-canon due to everyone making fun of him, not taking him seriously and hating the blob, or if this was always the case. Because despite the Afton ending being the hardest to get.... It's still a two star ending.
So it's hard and too early for me to tell if I want to give them points for that soft retcon. I mean I don't blame them honestly.
But yeah. Skeleton man Afton in the basement and his best friend the Blob isn't actually real, and neither is Freddy's "I am not me" speech either.... Which honestly makes sense. Because it's all Gregory's comic book trying to make sense of FNAF Lore he doesn't understand.
Also, I can say definitively, and finally, Afton is not the Mimic. Glitchtrap exists as its own entity in this, and the Mimic seems to have its own agenda. It's unclear if Afton is possessing the Mimic via virus corruption, but for now, I believe the Mimic is acting of its own will.
And man oh man. I feel so sorry for people who haven't been keeping up with Tales of the Pizzaplex Books.
The ending of the dlc is just really "who's Henry???" From pizzasim all over again huh....
Anyways. Those are my thoughts. I will be streaming the dlc again tomorrow. Gonna try and get a better ending, but I have a suspicion they're all sad.

Confused. Vanessa Shelly/Afton x Fem!Reader
Vanessa Shelly/Afton x reader who is really bad with emotions. Reader basically had not the best life, and wasn't allowed to show emotions growing up, and so when reader starts catching feelings for Vanessa, you don't know what it is so they are really confused and awkward around Vanessa, also Mike kinda just doesn't exist in this lmao :D
Tumblr media
Even though the pizzeria might not have been my first choice, it's really not that bad. Or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself of that…oh well. I close my car door, careful not to do it too hard, the door would probably fall off. I really needed this job, I have maybe 100 dollars to my name. Sighing I use the key that Mr Raglan gave me, I try to unlock it one way, it doesn't unlock.
“Shit..” I mutter to myself, I turn the key a different way, flip it around, I try everything and it just isn't unlocking. I stand there for like 30 minutes fumbling with this stupid fucking key, and just my luck. A cop car pulls up, oh cool they can probably help me, wait oh shit, they are gonna think im trying to break in. I worriedly look at the cop car and wave, the windows are tinted and it's dark out so I can't see who's in there. Fuck fuck fuck fuck, I try to use the key again, glancing back at the female cop who just got out of her car. She looks nice… she can help, wait, all cops look nice, that's their tactic.
“Hey. What are you doing?” The officer says as I quickly turn around, I can feel my heart start beating faster, I'm usually fine around cops though, whatever it's just nerves. “Officer! Hi um I'm the security guard here, the key I was given isn’t working. I've been trying for like 30 minutes haha…” That was convincing and definitely not suspicious. Shit. She raises her eyebrow, looking me up and down, and glancing at the lock behind me. “You're really lucky that the owner said there was a new security guard, or I'd probably arrest you. Here let me try.” She says with a smile, I hand her the key without saying anything. Woah my stomach feels weird, am I sick or something?? It feels like my stomach has like… horses running around in it. Weird description but whatever…taking a step back I watch as she unlocks it on the first try.
That's awkward. “How did you do that?? I swear I... I tried for like 30 minutes…” She turns around and gives me back the key, looking me up and down again, god what happens to me? It feels like I'm going to throw up every time she does that. What is happening to me?? “It’s fine, keys can be difficult sometimes.” She smiles at me, fuck I feel like a fool all I can do is just stand there looking at her, I think im having a stroke. No wait, a heart attack, that more likely feels like my heart is eating itself. “Um, thank you Officer.” Why did I say that so weird, god she must think i'm drunk or something.
“Please, my names Vanessa, Vanessa Shelly.” She holds out her hand for me to shake, AND I STARE AT HER HAND FOR LIKE 3 SECONDS BEFORE AWKWARDLY SHAKING HER HAND OH MY GOD. I'm freaking out, is it hot? No, it's cold, why am I sweating?? “Right, uh, y/n, y/n y/ln. It's really nice to meet you.” It's really nice to meet you? Did I really have to put the really, whatever i can't go back in time. “You too, mind if I stick around for a bit?” YES, wait yes what the fuck is happening why do I feel this way? “Yeah no problem.” I say like a fool, I don't usually overthink things like this. Or do I? Have I just not noticed? Huh, whatever.
The night goes on, and my heart doesn't slow down, the odd feelings in my stomach continue as she talks to me, and asks me a couple questions. It feels like the night goes way too fast, and I find myself upset when it turns to 6am. Driving home all I can think about her, why? I think I just really want to be friends with her, probably, that's all it is. I get home and lay down on my bed staring at the ceiling, maybe this job won't be as bad as I thought it would be.
The next day Vanessa doesn’t show up, maybe she never will. I also find out how creepy the pizzeria is and even though my life is practically in danger, I just keep wishing that I’d get to see her again, but just as friends though. Just friends.
I pull into the parking lot of the pizzeria. Walking up in my goofy looking security vest, I sigh. Yesterday I was actually able to unlock the lock, after 10 minutes…but at least I got it. Ugh, time to try to unlock this for half of my shift. And just like I said, it's been 5 minutes and I still can’t get it. “Does it…go the other way or..” I mutter to myself, before I see headlights shining at me. SHES HERE. Oh god I feel like I shoulda put more effort into myself today, does my hair look okay. I zone out thinking about every possible thing that I could ever overthink, before finally getting snapped out of it by her. “Hey, need help with the lock again?” She says teasingly, grinning at me. Woah, my heart just went to the moon and back okay that's normal. “Uh yeah haha, still can’t seem to get it right.” She takes the key from me and just like before, unlocks it with ease, before handing the key back to me. “I'm gonna hang out again today, hope you don’t mind.” “Hah no, I don’t care, I enjoy the company.” Finally I said something without sounding like a 5 year old.
We both walk into the pizzeria, without saying anything, as we are walking her hand brushes against mine, there it is again, that fuzzy feeling that only happens with her. Maybe I should google my symptoms. “So how's your day been?” She asks me, with a smile. “Oh, pretty good, better now that you're here haha.” I pause, DID I JUST SAY THAT, holy shit oh god what? What was I thinking?? “That's funny, I was going to say the same thing.” She says with a wink, before continuing to walk down the hall. Everything in my head was screaming at me, I had to remember that walking is something that you do if you wanna follow someone. So I started walking again, maybe I should ask her? She's a cop, she might know what's wrong with me.
We go over to the showtime area. “Hey, have you seen them perform yet?” “They perform?” “Yeah watch.” Vanessa presses the showtime button, and the animatronics jump into a song. I watch them with intent, probably the first thing I've thought about that wasn't Vanessa in 3 days. We both walk over to a booth and sit down, just watching and listening to them do their thing. “So this is cool isn’t it?” She asks, looking at me, I look over at her. That feeling again, I swear I'm having a stroke. “Y/N?” Yup this is a stroke why can’t I answer her? “Y-yeah, right, um yeah this is super cool.” I say looking down at the table, smiling and looking back at her. “Are you okay?” Vanessa asks me, looking genuinely worried.
I gulp and look at her nervously. “Um, not really? I don't know.” “You don't know? What do you mean what's going on?’’ She stands up and squats down in front of me, looking up at me. She takes my hands and holds them. I swear my heart just stops at that point. “Hey, talk to me, what's going on?” “Do you um” I clear my throat. “Do you ever get this weird feeling? Lately my heart has been beating faster than normally, and I'm really nervous and anxious and my stomach feels like it's being twisted up.” She looks at me, with those doe eyes of hers, with genuine care and worry. “And the weirdest part of it all, is it only happens around…well…you.” And with that, the worry on her face disappears into a softer one. She laughs and looks back up at me with a smirk. “Y/N have you ever had a crush before?” “A crush? What's that have to do with this, I’ve never had one before but I’ve heard- oh” And it finally clicks, all those movies i’ve seen are like this, a crush, I have a crush on her. Oh shit. I just admitted to her that I have a crush on her. As she watches me come to realization, I feel my face heat up. “Don’t start stressing yourself out, y/n, I like you too.” She says grinning and looking at me sympathetically. I’m still processing all of it, so I don’t really say anything for 10 seconds. “That's good, I um I like you too…a lot.” “Yup, I realized that.” She teasingly smirks at me. “So are we dating now?” I ask genuinely as she laughs again, standing up. “Wow, you really haven’t ever done this before huh? It’s cute, and yeah, we are dating, cmon.” Vanessa holds her hand out for me to take, and finally, it feels right. No more confusion, it feels right, being with her. I’m finally happy. With her :)

FNAF MOVIE SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT..
I have MANY THOUGHTS about Mike's family and here they are
Tumblr media
Okay so I've been thinking and there is NO WAY Mike Schmidt isn't related to Afton.
When we see the actual William Afton reveal, the picture Vanessa shows of her as a kid features the little orange plane.
Tumblr media
This SAME PLANE is the one Garett has in all of Mike's flashbacks, on the day he got taken. When Afton himself shows up, he says "first I killed your brother, now I kill you." Which confirms that yes, he was the one who took Garett on that fateful day.
How would Afton have known to be there? He likely didn't take Garett on instinct because it happened so fast, plus Garett didn't seem scared in the car so he must have known Will to some extent. Plus, it's in a NATIONAL PARK. Was he just waiting there??? Or was it revenge?
I think that Mike's mother remarried from the Aftons, and ended up with Mr Schmidt, who she must have married semi-recently if Garett didn't seem scared about Afton's presence. She possibly could have had an affair that Mike was simply unaware of, or he just never knew his real father, that being William Afton.
Going back to the plane- Vanessa had it, as did Garett. Sure, I'm not saying that there's only one of those planes in existence, but this is FNAF we're talking about.
Either Afton took the plane from Garett after killing him and gave it to Vanessa, or Garett and Mike's side of the family got to keep it when Mrs Schmidt separated from Afton.
This also ties to when 'Steve Raglan' was shocked into silence and leaned in to examine Mike's face after reading the name Schmidt. Either he recognized the surname of one kid he killed over a decade ago, or he recognized the family name of the man his ex-wife married. William Afton recognized his son, and his son simply doesn't remember him.
"They say everything you learn in life, down to the last detail, is stored inside your brain. All you have to do is remember."
This EXACT QUOTE from Mike seems a little too on-the-nose when taken into this context.
Now, when we look at it all, we have Mike Schmidt and Vanessa... who are really Michael Afton and Vanessa Afton.
Vanessa is conveniently in a coma at the end of the movie too, so she can't immediately clear up this information until the sequel. The SAVETHEM-style letters read out in the credits also say "COMEFINDME", which directly references the "now.. I'm going to come find you." Line from Michael Afton at the end of Sister Location, in reference to Springtrap. His father. William Afton.

FNAF SECURITY BREACH RUIN SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT
1: I really like Cassie, more than I expected to. One of my issues with FNAF was that the human characters don't really feel like characters in the games, more like prop pieces. But Cassie genuinely feels like a character that I want to see get a happy ending.
2: I went in expecting that if I saw Eclipse, he'd be a bastard, and instead was pleasantly surprised. He's my scrunkly :].
3: I really love the Roxy redemption we got!! She was genuinely kind and gentle with Cassie and I loved it.
4: I kept expecting the V.A.N.N.I mask to turn Cassie evil at some point, tho I did enjoy the return of Helpy.
5: At first I was soul crushed when I saw what had become of Freddy, but I saw online that he was a prototype and not good ol' Freddy, so :]
6: Pour one out for Monty I guess. Dude forgot he wasn't a real alligator.
7: Bonnie enjoyers got fed at what cost
8: Yeah no, I refuse to believe Gregory left Cassie to die.
Why would he guide her to the elevator in the first place if he was just gonna kill her off? He went through hell to make sure Freddy was ok, and he knew that guy for less than a day, he wouldn't leave his best friend to rot.
(maybe this is the inner Gregory fan talking, SO WHAT)
The Mimic wasn't shown to be destroyed, just escaped from, and we don't know how much control it had over the Pizzaplex, especially after Cassie freed it. Maybe it was what sent her crashing down.
Or that freaky rabbit (which I'm pretty sure is Afton) hacked the elevator to keep her down below (will elaborate on)
9: I believe the shot in game featuring Vanessa and Gregory confirms that the Princess Quest ending is the canon ending, and y'know what? I'm ok with that, I like the ending, it's got three stars, and the Encyclopedia said that was Gregory's good ending, so I had a feeling it was gonna go that way.
BUT! In that ending, it isn't made clear if by playing the game we killed Afton, or we simply freed Vanessa.
So, what if that glitchy rabbit is Afton, but his vessel wasn't complete, so he got stuck in the system, and the whole 'Vanny Network' thing he set up to try to replace her.
(we don't know how long it's been since the events of SB, and if the three stars ending is the canon ending, then we also don't know what destroyed the Pizzaplex)
Maybe Afton was in control of the elevator, and used Gregory's voice to trick Cassie (like some people were theorizing before the dlc came out) into believing Gregory betrayed her so he could turn her into his replacement Vanny and get her to make him real again.
Are points 8 & 9 a desperate ploy to not have Gregory be an asshole? Probably
Will that deter me? Absolutely not
Also if there is an answer as to how the Pizzaplex got destroyed in the TFTP books, don't spoil please, I've only read Lally's Game, the main reason I know what the Mimic is that SuperHorrorBro kept mentioning it during his playthrough so I checked the wiki.
Also if there are more endings to the DLC, please be cool about spoilers! I've only seen what SHB posted.
Anyways, those are my thoughts on Ruin.

explanations under the cut
Elizabeth Afton is actually the Youngest Sibling - as @birdsareblooming pointed out, when we see her room in fnaf4, she has a torn-apart mangle toy. mangle was stated to be made to entertain toddlers. would also explain why she's not in the gameplay, she's at daycare/with her mom
The Vengeful Spirit is Michael Afton - another one where cori convinced me and I might have an entire essay that I will publish after I finally sit down and edit through the Security Logbook section but until then here's a bullet point post
Mimic = Burntrap - i dont think i have to explain this we're all talking about it i just know people are gonna be mad at me for it
The Girl in Drowning is representative of Charlie, not Cassidy - She's literally got gray skin, black hair, gray clothes, and neon green lighting, much like a certain gray-skinned black-haired pixel girl with a green bracelet who died in the rain (water motif). Her dragging Kara down because she doesn't want to be alone could be seen as a metaphor for Charlie trying to give life but instead kinda sticking them all in robots
FNAF AR had some BANGIN re-skins - come on. look at them. Clockwork Ballora? Bangin. Broiler Baby? Bangin. Catrina Toy Chica? BANGIN. Springtrap as an actual fucking clown???? BANGIN.
Vanessa is an Afton in the Gameverse, too – Cori's workin on a whole explanation diagram for this but the most BASIC evidence is "her last name starts with 'a' and she's a nepo baby." I dont think she's William's DIRECT daughter cause man died in the 90s and she was 23 in the 2030s so. grandkid or smth
If Edwin/David is a metaphor for anything it's William/CC and not Henry/Charlie – listen i understand the whole "single dad building the robots and then breaking one in a rage" thing from TSE but also the mimic likes to mimic its creator and child before all else and who is it mimicking? afton and the little boy in sb who happens to look a shitton like cc. also game!charlie is never indicated as having a special plushie that followed her everywhere but cc very certainly did and hey if mimic can grow and shrink to fit in anything whos to say it didnt shrink into the fredbear to repeat stock phrases to cc such as "tomorrow is another day." also in the character encyclopedia art of cc he is holding his fredbear plush the same way burntrap positions his arm to imitate holding something. an
They're not gonna pull the Charliebot twist again. Nobody's a secret robot – first off from a writing perspective that's not the kinda twist you do twice. second off with the... less than stellar reception to the twist in the first place i dont think theyre gonna pull it again
"Cassidy" isn't the Golden Freddy Kid's name, it's Crying Child's – the logbook has Crying Child communicate through manipulating the text, while the spirit he's talking to speaks in faint writing; the second spirit never has a confirmed identity, but CC is most definite considering the stuff referenced around him. The "ITS ME CASSIDY" is revealed through.... manipulated text. The clues are in........ manipulated text. "It's Me" is CC calling out to Michael. The other spirit says "My name is..." a couple times BUT they also ask CC if he remembers his name just a few pages before. Granted this might just be us not understanding something but also if Cassidy is CC's name then who the fuck is Golden Freddy Kid. is Michael Brooks still canon
The nightmare gas didn't "ruin the lore" it's just kinda funny – look guys literally all of this lore is fucked, the fact they just threw in "also William Afton was doing nightmare gas experiments on kidnapped kids and then abandoned it for shits and giggles" in the eighth book of their second anthology series and then moving on like nothing happened while the fanbase collapses in on itself is like THE funniest thing they could've done

FNAF SPOILERS
okay so, i know everyone is talking about it already but I'm just gonna do a quick list of my theories n beliefs bc i want to keep em all together and also why not so here we go!!
mike and garret's father is henry emily! hes the same man working on the animatronics on the training tape, and it makes sense that william would kidnap him and that garrett would be so unphased and willing to get into a vehicle with him.
garrett will be the puppet. im loving the theory that instead of michael being an afton like he is in the games, he's an emily. garrett in this instance would be charlie's replacement in the movies. his story follows the same timeline that charlies does: locked away from their protector (mike/the puppet), taken in by someone they know (william) and then killed by him. the puppet music plays at the end of the film, and right after that, letters spell out "come find me." this is garrett, who has possessed the marionette and is speaking to mike!
the nevada dream isn't real. dreams can be foggy, memories can be worse. mike tells vanessa and his coworker that theres a dream theory, where he can go back into his memories and look for details. but what if hes so focused on trying to get to the details of the car and the man that he's forgetting the big ones? what if he never actually went to nevada? it might seem silly and farfetched but there was a lot of emphasis on the soda spilling, the ketchup spraying, etc. i kept thinking it would go back to the pizzaria. so what if michael blocked out the pizzaria entirely? what if he saw garrett be taken by william? in the games, william comes out of his car, kills charlie, and leaves. what if in the movie universe he instead took garrett and left with him in his car? what if that part of the memory is true, but in a. desperate attempt to block the memory of freddy's he forgot it entirely? he seems unfamiliar when talking to vanessa, who is shocked he's never heard of it, since it was so popular. what if the reason she was shocked was because she knew he had been here before?
vanessa and mike knew each other as kids. vanessa is very vague about her childhood and about her knowing garrett, but she does reveal that she not only met him, but was at the pizzaria often (hence the photo and all her seemingly good memories, like being excited about the band playing). if mike is an emily, it would make sense that he was at the pizzaria with garrett and his parents, and that vanessa had known him. which leads to the question of: did she see when william killed garrett? did she help him? she's smiling in the picture with her father and his plane. did she have no idea until it was too late?
henry emily will come back. mike says that his mom died and his father couldn't handle it, so he left. im not sure how they're going to fit so much into three movies, but my hope is that the trilogy they've planned will end with Pizzaria Simulator. and if this is the case, henry emily would have to be present for it to happen.
abby will possess baby. i really dont have much on this i just think it would be super sick if it followed what would have been her fate if she was an afton, and if she's elizabeths movie counterpart it would make sense for her to have the same ending.
i have a lot more theories and hopes, im actually working out a mini timeline for what i think will happen in the movies bc i think it would be super cool but!! for now thats all i got thats super major to me. im so glad fnaf has had this resurgence in theories im having the time of my life i love thinking about this kind of stuff

A Very Long and Very Rage Written Rant about people talking about the FNAF Movie because I am seeing some takes that make me want to bash my head into a wall.
Very quickly an apology to my followers on here that followed me for Sonic. I would post this on my main but if you read my username I don't really have the time to do that right now. Very sorry for clogging up your TL.
Anyway, I am about to use very aggressive and targeted language. I am not hating on anyone specific but I am going to be saying sentences like "Are you dumb? Why are you like this?" Tumblr is my void and I am going to scream. I know some of the things I say may not be common knowledge. However, in this rant, I am going to pretend that it is. I am going to swear a lot. I am going to be talking about fist-fighting people whom I disagree with.
Just know that once again, this is a rant. Not a "please stop saying blah blah blah blah." I am not going to go out of my way to attack people. Which is, once again, why I am screaming here.
"Why the big warning?" BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ON MY MAIN BACK WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RED EYES YELLED AT ME. MY POST WASN'T MEANT TO TARGET ANYONE SPECIFIC. I WAS MEANT TO BE YELLING AT A MADE-UP DUMMY I MADE IN MY MIND!
With that out of the way, it is time to scream.
OH MY FUCKING GOD SOME OF THE THINGS YA'LL ARE SAYING. I have never felt the urge to rip through my fucking screen and grab some of yall by the throat. I want to bodyslam you onto the ground and pummel you to death.
Let's begin with a recent complaint I saw about William having no motivation in the movie and how they should have given him his motivation, let me tell you something bud.
They did. They did give him his motive. However, this is a 2-hour movie and they didn't dive into it. It's almost like they're making a second movie or something? OH WAIT THEY ARE! THIS IS THE FIRST MOVIE! THEY ARE ESTABLISHING ROLES!
They want you to grasp from this movie that:
William is a threat.
Mike is doing his best and is not going to pick up on everything.
Abby and the missing kids are, indeed, regular-ass kids who aren't going to understand fully the situation they're in.
Vanessa is a traumatized individual who wants to please her father and was manipulated into helping him because, you know, THAT IS HER DAD.
They are setting up the basics so people know what to expect from the next film. They will, most likely, be going into William's motives then. But as of right now, they are setting the roles that each character is going to take.
I don't know how some of yall ain't getting that because it is the most clear as day thing to me but that may be because I am aiming to be a writer down the line.
Time to aim at the other complaint I've seen which is that Vanessa is an Afton complaint. All I have to say to that is, whoah, it's almost like the movie takes place in an alt-universe from the games. And even if Vanessa is an Afton in the games who gives a fuck? She isn't Williams's direct child if that's the case and it just ties her in with the old characters. A popular thing I have seen a couple of times is that sometimes people portray Gregory as an Afton. So what's so wrong about Vanessa being an Afton. I am genuinely curious here? What's wrong about her being an Afton.
Some of yall come up with the most stupidest ass complaints I swear to god.
"But Micheal is meant to be the Afton-" Tell me how that would have worked in this movie. Tell me how Mike would not have recognized his own father if he was William. Also, I like that the movie implies that his dad is probably Henry.
"How does it imply that?"
I don't know, why don't we look at the career office scene again where William reads Mike's last name and recognizes it. He wants to tie up his loose ends.
And Mike? Mike is a loose end.
It just makes sense and it goes into the last complaint I saw about the movie.
The "I always come back line doesn't make sense," complaint.
THE REASON WHY IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO YOU IS THAT YOU KEEP PLACING IT IN THE WRONG CONTEXT YOU FOOL, YOU ABSOLUTE BAFOON. YOU'RE PLACING IT IN THE GAME'S CONTEXT. NOT THE MOVIES.
If I am fucking right about the fact that Henry is a Schmidt in the movie then that means William has always been a part of Mike's life. He has been haunting Mike since he took Garret, he influenced Mike to get a job at Freddy's, and he was the reason why Mike met Vanessa.
When he said he'd come back, he wasn't talking about coming back from the dead.
He meant it as he'll come back and make Mike's life a living hell.
Anyway rant fucking over, yall pisses me off. Good day.

Kellen Goff and Marta Svetek confirmed it at a QnA! They’ve also revealed that(copy and pasted from source):
-Kellen cant disclose anything about Fred and Bons relationship because he really isn't told anything like that, but he does believe they were very close.
-There is apparently a voiceline from Freddy being sassy to Roxanne after she tells him to leave her room, according to Kellen it should be found in the game files (but as far as im aware such a thing hasn't been found).
-Gregory is Scotts favorite character thus far, SWS told Kellen.
-Kellen and Marta both claimed they will be returning for the upcoming HW2 (whether they are new voices or not, was not mentioned). By extension this means the SB cast may very well appear in HW2.
DUDE. so far? as in so far in the whole franchise? goodness that's great news for us. my first thought for marta sveteks role is Roxy since there are pizzaplex levels but a Gregory enthusiast can hope
either way that's actually insane. over william afton? over Michael Afton? like damn that's crazy. not even vanessa
also for the Freddy line thing I remember him saying it! he said it in sb when it came out in a letsplay video I watched but I havent heard it since. they may have removed it. the line was "Freddy get out of my room!" "I'm going I'm going" (said like a sibling to another sibling)

HCs about the Scream (96) cast seeing FNAF
I've had some time to think abt this, so say the murders never happened and the kids are just a dumb friend group. Btw this is mindless self indulgence. (Stuilly, Tatum/Sidney yk) WARNING FOR POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT!
Sidney-
Is actually highkey a little nervous to see it. She isn't big on scary movies but wanted to go cause it seemed good and she had a vague idea of the lore (blame Randy and Billy)
Dresses up with Tatum
Sits between Tatum and Billy
gets startled during specific scenes (iykyk) but otherwise enjoys herself.
Her favorite was probably either Max or Vanessa.
Tatum-
Tatum wanted to see this purely because it was a big thing. She doesn't know the lore (And prolly doesn't really care tbh).
She and Sidney dress up and Tatum goes all out. (She's prolly glam rock chica or roxy)
Is next to Sidney with her bag on the seat next to her.
Sits unphased through the suspenseful bits and thinks the movie is goofy. Is moreso glad that Sid liked it.
Thought Vanessa was hot.
Randy-
Not the biggest FNAF fan but knows all the lore and is so pretentious about it.
Dresses up as either the purple guy (I really feel like he would and I don't know why...) or a security guard.
Is next to Stu with a random person on the other side.
Is inches from strangling Stu with every comment he makes throughout the film.
Doesn't get scared at all and thinks the scares are lame. (the only thing that gets him is the scene with Max)
Didn't like how the movie strayed from the lore but isn't against watching it at home to rip on it. (loved the special effects and technical work though)
Is a Mike fan, but in the non thirsty way. Also thinks Vanessa is hot.
Stu-
He was ready to see this movie from the moment it was announced. Is a fnaf fan, knows the lore because of Billy and Randy. He will say things wrong around Randy to piss him off, but will ask Billy to explain it to him just to watch Billy ramble.
Dresses up as Springtrap. (come on. You know why.)
Is between Billy and Randy.
Will lean over to make comments to Randy throught the film. Let out a loud laugh when MatPat was on screen and cheered at Cory's cameo. Kept making jokes about William Afton and Shaggy, and calling Mike hot.
Thought the movie was great. Keeps saying "I always come back" whenever he enters a room though.
Die hard Doug stan. A Mike fan, but in the thirsty way
Billy-
This man knows the fucking lore. He was secretly kinda excited for the film to come out. He gave Stu a crash course of the lore the month leading up to the films release.
Dressed up but very lowkey. (shirt with the color of the animatronic) Looked very out of place next to his four overdressed friends/boyfriend, but didn't mind.
Is between Stu and Sidney.
White knuckle grip on Stu's hand during the first half hour from excitement. (his face was fully stoic though)
Liked the movie enough but probably wouldn't watch it again. (He and Stu see it another six times) Thought the animatronics were cool looking though.
Liked Afton (yk why), Mike and Vanessa. (His favorite animatronic is either Bonnie or Foxy and I'll die on that hill.)
Okay thats all, sorry I'm insane.

My critical review of the FNAF movie, as a lifelong fan of the franchise.
Alright I just saw the FNAF movie and I have some SHIT to say, some good some bad I think this will probably be very controversial.
PURELY JUST MY OPINION
SPOILERS AHEAD

Alright so the good parts:
1. I really liked Josh Hutcherson's acting and he made a great Mike, his relationship with Abbie was real and I liked his friendship with Vanessa through the movie.
2. I also really liked the dream sequence with the spirits communicating to him through his memories, I thought that was very interesting and well done.
3. Seeing Matpat was a very pleasant surprise and I understand Mark couldn't have been there because of his work on Iron Lung but maybe in the next movie he could have a role. I also saw someone complaining about how Matpat says "it's just a theory" in the film and I just wanted to comment on it and say that you should be grateful he got to be in the film in the first place, and what's the problem with him saying his signature line, me and the rest of the theater loved it.
4. End credits song was peak I'm so glad the living tombstone made it into the movie and hopefully they continue putting fnaf songs in the credits in the future if there indeed will be a trilogy.
5. The animatronics were absolutely beautiful and done so well, their movements and articulation was perfect and I loved them.
6. Vanessa is Elizabeth twist is awesome and has so much lore significance. I'm really glad to see something big like that in the movie rather than just taking concepts from the games and books and throw them all together. That gave me the idea of Vanessa's mother potentially starting the pizzaplex in the future due to the "higher ups" in the pizzaplex in security breach personally recommending her for the job.
Now the bad:
1. Springlocks.
I strongly disliked how they designed the springlocks and how they were set off in the movie. The design doesn't at all correlate with how they are supposed to look and be used, and it only covers the torso. Springlocks are supposed to be everywhere in the suit, all limbs, torso, and head. But they were only in the chest cavity of the old animatronics and spring bonnie, which isn't a huge problem it's just something that could have definitely been improved on. They also had different functionality, these springlocks looked like they wouldn't hold back the endoskeleton at all and are instead purely made for killing, which there would have been no reason for with these suits. I much prefer the windup design of springlocks that hold back all the parts inside the suits from collapsing inward, as described in the books.
2. The springlocks scene itself.
On top of the springlocks being different which I also didn't like in the scene, the way they did it with his helmet off is really upsetting. I get that it was probably so you could see expressions of pain and the look in his eyes, but it robbed us of a possible springlocks scene that could have been similar to the "one audio" I'm sure most diehard fnaf fans have heard, or the audio by "NLGL10n3I" which is done absolutely beautifully and would have made for a perfect springlocks scene. It would have been much better if it was muffled and you just saw the convulsions and blood from the suit snapping back into place.
4. "I always come back."
I really disliked how this line was delivered and just think it could have been said better, him being able to put his helmet on makes little sense to me because of the restrictions on his muscles the springlocks would have had, but it's not the worst thing.
5. The animatronics being "brainwashed."
I really didn't like the idea that the kids just didn't remember that afton was the one who had killed them, because they held onto that a lot in the games and stuff. So Abbie needing to put a drawing on the wall to show that "bad guy is bad" was pretty upsetting and didn't make any sense.
6. The fort scene.
I get it, they're kids, but they're not supposed to be like regular kids. They were murdered, and they're pissed about it, they don't care about anything other than getting revenge for their deaths or inflicting pain. It was also cringey, which they did to appeal to the audience I guess and it makes sense cause it's a pg13 movie but it still didn't fit the vibe of the rest of the film at all.
7. The film rating.
I understand that a lot of the audience isn't old enough to watch a rated R movie in theaters but it could have at least been rated MA. That being said, they got away with a lot more than I thought they could with the cupcake mauling the guy's face off and the girl being bitten completely in half. They could have not done so much with their deaths though and redirected it towards the springlocks scene, I'd much rather the rest of the kills be more mediocre and have an amazing springlocks death than have a mid springlocks death and some decent kills.
8. The blade whirring freddy mask.
I think the concept of a murder device in the pizzeria could have been done much better than just a mask with some spinning blades. A better idea for that would be a springlocks suit, assuming we didn't have the shit springlocks we got in the movie and had the ones that had to be wound back to hold back the suit. They did something similar with the clown animatronic that Chica tried to shove Abbie into, but it would be a lot better as a suit you wake up inside of and have to carefully unwind in order to open up the chest to escape, and to try not to set off the springlocks would have made for a much more suspenseful scene with opportunity to scare the audience by springlocking the suit just after Mike had escaped from part of or all of inside the suit.
Something similar to this is in the books, Charlie is trapped inside of a suit with springlocks that she has to carefully unwind to get free from. Mike could have learned how to do that through Vanessa when she points them out to him in the back closet.
9. The power and cameras.
I know it wasn't going to be like the games in that sense, but the cameras were used very little and there could have been some scenes where we could see, even as a little thing you'd just catch if you were looking, like animatronics moving through the pizzeria.
The power also was vastly different and just went on the fritz a couple times where Mike had to flip the breaker off and on, instead of the building running on a generator with a specific amount of power for the night.
10. No Markiplier :(
Self explanatory

The last one was a joke but that's overall my critical review of the movie, would and will absolutely watch again for things I missed and to look at things better. Please let me know your different thoughts on the movie and what you think.

William Afton and Charles Lee Ray are the same goddamn person
I made a joke about this on my last art post but now I am here to back up my claims, and oh boy do I have evidence
We'll get the simple stuff out of the way first
Both are serial killers
Both of their main storylines began in the 80s (it's pretty widely agreed upon that William began killing in 1983 after the death of the Crying Child, and Chucky was first shot down and became a doll in 1988)
Both have had their souls either fused with or transferred into an inanimate object originally meant for children's entertainment (William's soul was fused to the Spring Bonnie suit (a mascot suit/animatronic) after he got springlocked, and Chucky transferred his soul into a Good Guy doll (a baby doll))
Both use children to fuel their quest for eternal life (William kills kids to gain access to remnant to fuel his research for eternal life for himself, and Chucky initially tries to use kids to be his new vessels but eventually began using them to further split his soul into more dolls so he can never truly die)
Both have died and come back to life multiple times
Both have said the line "I always come back"
Now that's already a lot of similarities but there's more
Both have accents (William has a British accent in the games and Chucky has a Jersey accent) (this isn't really that notable but still)
Both have killed their wife and turned them into what they are/would become (Not actually confirmed, but heavily implied that William killed his wife and made her into the animatronic Ballora, and Chucky killed his girlfriend, (later wife) Tiffany, and transferred her soul into the Wedding Belle doll)
Both have a biological child who has reluctantly helped them commit their crimes before later turning on them (in the movie, William's daughter Vanessa helps him cover up his murders and is going to help him kill Mike and Abby too but turns on him after befriending Mike and Abby. In Seed of Chucky, Chucky's kid, Glen, goes on an outing with him where they're forced to help Chucky kill people, but they later turn on him when he attempts to kill them and Tiffany)
Both have a biological child who has willingly helped them and then turned on them (in the games we learn that William's son, Michael, was sent to Circus Baby's at William's request to find Elizabeth and the others, and later Michael helps Henry set the last of the children's souls free and send William to his own personal hell in Pizza Sim. In Season 2 of Chucky, Chucky's kid, Glenda, kills people in order to help him escape from Tiffany while in Nica's body. Later when he continues to try and manipulate them, they realize that he's actually a douchebag that doesn't really care about them or Glen and ends up turning on him and helping the main kids of the show get rid of him)
Both have a biological child/children that were either born like them, or became like them (Elizabeth, William's daughter in the games, is killed by the animatronic Circus Baby, who she goes on to possess. (There's also the Crying Child who may be one of two spirits possessing Golden Freddy, but that's not confirmed) In Seed of Chucky we meet Glen, Chucky's biological doll child, who then becomes his biological human children Glen and Glenda, who then go back into their doll body and become Gigi at the end of Season 2 of the TV show)
Both have targeted one child that gained a larger vendetta against them than any other they've targeted (for William this would be Cassidy (The Vengeful Spirit/Golden Freddy) and for Chucky this would be Andy)
Both have also been tortured by the same child with the greater vendetta (Cassidy is the one who trapped William in Ultimate Custom Night, and were shown in Cult of Chucky that Andy managed to capture one of the Chuckys who he had been torturing since)
Both have had songs written about them (there's way too many Fnaf songs to count and plenty of them are about William. For Chucky there's the song Assault and Batteries by Ice Nine Kills)
So after all of that there's also one last crazy insane coincidence
Brad Dourif, the actor who voices Chucky and originally played Charles Lee Ray, played a role in the movie the Exorcist III. The Exorcist III was a movie that the real life murderer the Gainesville Ripper said inspired him to kill. The Gainesville Ripper then went on to be the inspiration for the movie Scream. Matthew Lillard starred in the movie Scream as one half of Ghostface. Matthew Lillard then later went on to play William Afton in the Fnaf Movie
I am losing my mind
Anyways, yeah they're the same man.
