So I've been low key following the new Marvel D+ shows since they were the things I was mainly interested in from the start when D+ was first announced, but since that time, Marvel Netflix all got cancelled, Disney swallowed up Fox, Endgame and Far From Home happened, then shutdown happened, and my fervent-ness for the MCU faded a good deal.
After some time digesting my feelings about Infinity War/Endgame/FFH, I came to terms with my dislike of how a lot of story, character, and overarching arc decisions were handled across the MCU and my distrust for how the future of the stories will be done. This goes without mentioning the disgust over how individual people are treated in the industry and fandom.
So, when WandaVision finally started to drop, I was very hesitant to jump back on the MCU train. I hadn't started watching until more episodes had aired, and I didn't engage in any of the discourse, only reblogged a couple things toward the end of the series; nevertheless, I was still hopeful to see something new and maybe better than what we had gotten before.
Suffice to say, as someone who had been very fervently in the MCU, I did enjoy watching it and picking up a lot of the nods to the films and even Agents of SHIELD (which got me hoping again that Marvel Netflix shows won't be retconned away). I think the grief centered themes worked really well in its favor. I also feel like Monica as a character deserves more to build on since not everyone will have seen let alone remembered little Monica from Captain Marvel, and I feel like there's a crucial piece missing to all of the MCU that I hope at some point gets addressed more fully. Will I be talking about this more? I don't know.
I'm still side eyeing TFATWS when it trends, and I'm a little concerned for certain, uh, woobifying for lack of a better term from what I've been seeing so far, but I think and I hope it will be a good opportunity to let Sam Wilson shine a lot more. The focus on his struggles seems to be well handled, and I hope it continues to be so. Nevertheless, still going to wait it out.
As for Loki, the show I was most interested in from the start, I have seen the trailers, and not going to lie, part of me is excited to see how timeline stuff works and how this different version of the character will evolve. Thor: The Dark World Loki was one of my favorite iterations of the character, and given that this Loki is just a post-Avengers Loki, I've been interested to see how it will play out.
Regardless... I'm still not sure how to feel. I don't think I'll be engaging much more with it than I am now until I figure that out. I just wanted to put out my two cents, and in case anyone who's followed my blog and knows how much I was all in MCU mode was wondering why I've been so lackluster on it when we're getting all the shows so close together and Black Widow on the horizon and No Way Home in the distance. I'm still figuring out what my relationship with the MCU will be going forward. I still enjoy the characters and a lot of the movies, and I want to enjoy the new performances, as they're always very good, but whether I'll be as fervently engaged with it as I was over the last several years?
It's up to what happens, I guess.

Next on the docket! Barbie has announced that they are going to do a gift set of 5 Barbie Extras! This gift set with include four Barbie Extras from Wave 1, #1, #3, #4, #5 and an all-new exclusive Barbie Extra Doll.
Tumblr media
Although I love the idea of a new Barbie Extra, I personally think it's ludicrous to have to purchase a whole gift set of 5 dolls to get this new exclusive doll. And from what I've researched, the price point will be over $100. She looks really nice though. I know I'd have to make a decision but I'm gonna wait until more information and better pictures come to see if she's worth it. Information of when it's going to drop has yet to be announced.

More Barbie Extra News! They finally announced Barbie Extra #9 and #10 to finish off Wave 2!  Barbie Extra #9 is a little bit different from its prototype. You'll see the doll is now sporting a pastel blue coat instead of yellow. Also her hair is shorter and paired with a different pet. A lot of people on social media are not to happy with this change, as am I. I still think the coat is cool but the yellow was so much better in my opinion.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
The Barbie Extra #9 doll is available now on Amazon at the price point of $24.99.
The Barbie Extra #10 looks fantastic!!!! From what I've seen on Instagram and other social media, Barbie Extra #10 is being well received and is becoming a fan favorite.
Tumblr media
She's beginning to become my favorite Barbie Extra and I haven't even gotten her yet! The Barbie Extra #10 is now available at Amazon and Target at the price point of $24.99.

How to watch the Marvel movies in order
Here’s a chronological guide to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)
Marvel movies (Image: © Marvel Studios/IMAX) It's never a bad time to start a Marvel Cinematic Universe (or MCU) marathon – especially with Avengers: Endgame behind us and Marvel Phase 4 on the horizon. The majority of Marvel movies are now streaming on Disney Plus, and in 2020 we'll see new movies like Black Widow added to the canon, along with original MCU TV shows like August's The Falcon and Winter Soldier.
Tumblr media
Watching the Marvel movies in order should be straightforward, but there are a few quirks to be aware of. The Marvel movies in chronological order begin with Captain America: The First Avenger, as Steve Rogers battles Red Skull in WW2. But you've also got the option of watching the Marvel movies in release order, too, which starts with 2008's Iron Man as Tony Stark kicks off the MCU.

MARVEL MOVIES IN ORDER: QUICK LINKS Marvel movies in chronological order Marvel movies in release order Marvel movies on Disney Plus Best Marvel movies
Watching the MCU films in order now will help you make sense of Black Widow and The Eternals, as well as WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – all of which tie in to previous Marvel movies in some way. Below, you'll find lists of the chronological and release orders, and a ranked list of the best Marvel movies. If you're just trying to watch the Avengers movies in order, for example, it means you can avoid the bad ones (sorry, Thor: The Dark World!). In this feature, too, we'll explain which Marvel movies are on Disney Plus in 2020.
Ready? Let's watch some of the best superhero movies ever...
How to watch the Marvel movies in order: chronological order A Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) timeline is likely what you're looking for. This lists all the Marvel films chronologically from The First Avenger to Avengers: Endgame. The main advantage of watching the Marvel movies in this fashion means you'll see important events as they unfolded in the MCU. You'll follow the Tesseract from the '40s to the present day, see how Captain Marvel met Nick Fury in the mid-'90s, and follow Thanos' genocidal journey to obtaining the Infinity Stones.
Here, then, is the chronological viewing order of the Marvel movies:
Captain America: The First Avenger (takes place during WWII) Captain Marvel (takes place in 1995) Iron Man (takes place in 2010) Iron Man 2 (takes place after Iron Man) The Incredible Hulk (time unspecified, pre-Avengers) Thor (time unspecified, pre-Avengers) The Avengers (takes place in 2012) Iron Man 3 (takes place six months after The Avengers) Thor: Dark World (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron) Captain America: Winter Soldier (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron) Guardians of the Galaxy (sometime in 2014) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (after Guardians) Avengers: Age of Ultron (takes place in 2015) Ant-Man (takes place in 2015) Captain America: Civil War (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War) Spider-Man: Homecoming (post-Civil War, pre-Infinity War) Doctor Strange (takes place in 2016) Black Panther (takes place in 2017) Thor: Ragnarok (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War) Avengers: Infinity War (takes place in 2017) Ant-Man and The Wasp (ambiguous, but fits nicely between IW and Endgame) Avengers: Endgame (starts in 2017, finishes in 2022) Spider-Man: Far From Home (post-Endgame) When 2020 Marvel movies Black Widow and The Eternals are released, along with canonical Disney Plus shows like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (August) and WandaVision (December), we'll add them to this list when we learn exactly how they fall in the MCU timeline. Black Widow, for example, is definitely set after Captain America: Civil War, but since you can't actually see that movie yet, we've left it off the list above for now.
Avengers movies in order(Image credit: Marvel Studios/Disney) Marvel movies in order: release date If you'd rather see the MCU in release order, however, you'll need this list, which starts with Iron Man in 2008 and culminates in 2019's Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Starting with the first few movies is a nice nostalgia trip, and you'll also see how the Marvel movies were refined over time with increased budgets.
Phase One
Iron Man (2008) The Incredible Hulk (2008) Iron Man 2 (2010) Thor (2011) Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) Marvel’s The Avengers (2012) Phase Two
Iron Man 3 (2013) Thor: The Dark World (2013) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) Ant-Man (2015) Phase Three
Captain America: Civil War (2016) Doctor Strange (2016) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Black Panther (2018) Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) Captain Marvel (2019) Avengers: Endgame (2019) Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) Phase Four
Black Widow (May 1, 2020) The Eternals (November 6, 2020) Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12, 2021) Untitled third Spider-Man movie (July 16, 2021) Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 7, 2021) Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5, 2021) The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Black Panther 2 (May 6, 2022) Captain Marvel 2 (TBA 2022) Ant-Man 3 (TBA 2022) Blade (TBD) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (TBD) Untitled Fantastic Four film (TBD)

PlayStation September Showcase Predictions: God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, and More
https://ift.tt/3l5qcbZ
On September 9 at 4 p.m. EST, PlayStation will host a special showcase event that some are already calling the company’s long-awaited E3 “makeup show.” While Sony is obviously stopping short of referring to it as such, the consensus seems to be that this will end up being the PlayStation team’s biggest event of the year.
That being the case, predictions for this show are running a bit wild at the moment. To hear some PlayStation fans tell it, this show is going to feature pretty much every dream PlayStation announcement you’ve ever heard of and the exclusive reveal of Half-Life 3 to boot. Of course, this year has taught us that the industry is still very much dealing with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and that it’s best to manage your expectations when it comes to these kinds of events.
Even still, it does feel like the PlayStation team’s best chance to really go all out and show us what the future of the PS5 looks like. That being the case, here are a few (maybe slightly bold) predictions for what we might see at this show.
God of War: Ragnarok Teaser Trailer (But No Release Date)
God of War: Ragnarok is by far the most anticipated upcoming PlayStation game in the minds of many, so it’s highly unlikely that the PlayStation team doesn’t at least reference the upcoming title sometime during their big September showcase.
That being said, you really shouldn’t expect an update regarding the game’s exact release date. Some very optimistic gamers once suggested the God of War sequel could be released in 2021, but it’s now clear that even the game’s current 2022 release window may prove to be optimistic.
Gran Turismo 7 Finally Gets a Release Date
It has been five years since the release of the divisive Gran Turismo Sport, so it’s easy to understand if franchise fans are starting to become a little impatient. Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of expectations to live up to.
I do think that we finally get a Gran Turismo 7 release date during the September Showcase event, but I’m really curious to see whether or not Sony chooses to showcase a substantial amount of new Gran Turismo 7 gameplay at that time. There’s a chance that the PlayStation team still needs to sell this game to non-diehards, and this is certainly one of their best upcoming opportunities to do just that.
An Extensive Look at GTA 5’s Next-Gen Port
Look, it’s obviously at least a little bit funny that GTA 5 is being re-released yet again, but the fact of the matter is that GTA 5 (or, more specifically, GTA Online) is as hot as ever. The game’s upcoming next-gen port has to be considered one of the biggest upcoming game releases in a dry holiday season.
That being the case, it feels safe to predict that GTA 5 will enjoy a substantial share of the spotlight during this PlayStation event ahead of the next-gen port’s November 11 release date. We might even get an update on those rumored remasters of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, but Rockstar may choose to showcase those games on their own terms.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
A Brief Preview of PSVR 2
While I wouldn’t be surprised if the next generation of PSVR hardware ends up being a major part of the upcoming showcase event, the safer bet is that Sony will choose to briefly reference the technology at that time and then devote an entire showcase to the hardware sometime down the line.
Still, it would be nice to get a brief look at the PSVR 2 headset and maybe even hear the PlayStation team talk about some future VR projects that will take full advantage of the new hardware.
A Ton of Horizon Forbidden West Gameplay
Horizon Forbidden West may have been delayed to early 2022, but it’s still one of the only major upcoming first-party PlayStation exclusives that have a set release date. As such, it’s also the PlayStation team’s best bet for a game they can “safely” feature.
That being the case, you should expect quite a bit of Forbidden West gameplay during the upcoming show. I don’t think PlayStation would go so far as to devote the majority of the event to Forbidden West, but it’s best to anticipate a lot of Forbidden West gameplay talk/footage so you don’t walk away from this event too disappointed.

Naughty Dog’s (The Last of Us?) Multiplayer Project
Thanks to a fairly recent round of job listings, we’re pretty sure that Naughty Dog is working on a standalone multiplayer project at the moment. What we don’t know is whether or not that project is set in The Last of Us universe as some rumors suggest it might be.
I suspect the project is indeed related to The Last of Us (especially since previous reports suggested that Naughty Dog was working on The Last of Us Part 2 multiplayer before deciding to focus on the campaign), and I strongly suspect that we’ll get a glimpse at whatever the mysterious game is during this upcoming PlayStation showcase event.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Teaser Trailer
Don’t let the excellent Miles Morales distract you from the fact that Insomniac Games still intends to release a full sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man and may have been working on that sequel while developing their other recent projects.
It’s doubtful that we get this game any sooner than late 2022, but a simple teaser trailer for the project would go a long way to reassuring PS5 fans that it is indeed on the horizon.
A Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Gameplay Update (But No Final Fantasy 16)
The Stranger of Paradise reveal didn’t exactly capture the kind of attention that Square Enix was probably looking for (“Chaos…”), but there are still plenty of reasons to hope that the upcoming Final Fantasy action game from Team Ninja will live up to the potential of its concept.
This upcoming show would be a great time for Square Enix and Team Ninja to wipe the bad taste out of some fans’ mouths and focus on Stranger of Paradise‘s gameplay instead. Based on what we’ve heard, though, you probably shouldn’t expect Final Fantasy 16 to make an appearance at this show as it sounds like Square Enix doesn’t plan on showing off that game until we’re much closer to its reported 2022 or 2023 release date.
Bloodborne PS5 Remaster/PC Launch
The popular theory at the moment is that the Uncharted series (or at least part of it) is coming to PC, but since that’s such a popular theory, I’ll instead be a bit bolder and suggest that Bloodborne will soon finally get its long-awaited PC port.
While we’re being so bold, I’ll go one step further and also suggest that Bloodborne may soon get a PS5 remaster (though probably not a full remake in the style of Demon’s Souls). The PC port prediction is probably more likely, but a remaster might make quite a bit of sense at the moment considering that the PS5’s upcoming “true” next-gen exclusive release schedule is looking a bit thin.
Ghostwire: Tokyo Gameplay Preview and Release Date
Ghostwire: Tokyo caught many people by surprise when it debuted at E3 2019, but we really haven’t heard a lot about it since then. We know it’s been delayed until 2022, and we know it will be a timed PS5 exclusive, but the details of this horror title remain mysterious.
It would be a little odd for Bethesda to chose to showcase this game during a PlayStation even given that they’re now owned by Microsoft, but because Ghostwire: Tokyo is a timed PS5 exclusive, there may be no great way around that awkwardness. If there’s more of Ghostwire: Tokyo that’s ready to be shown, then this is a great place to show it.
