A few notes on the Guilty Kiss  Fukuoka 2018 Live and Fan Viewing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So after their Sapporo show was cancelled due to the earthquake, Guilty Kiss finally got their first performance! (Or rather they did that morning. The live viewing was for the second.) But except for the Fukuoka-local specific stuff, I think we more or less saw what we would have seen in Hokkaido.
Perhaps the best part of the fan meeting section, was this unintentional (I think) running joke that was created.
One of the questions they got from a fan was, if you could cover a song from another unit, which one?
So that turned into them joking about how that could never do a CYaRon song since they are Guilty Kiss and all, but they also started imitating them and it just kept escalating until they stood up and went in front of the table and were trying to do as much as they could remember of DAY! DAY! DAY!
Then later during the quiz section, when they play video of the other units asking questions, CYaRon came on and they were imitating Guilty Kiss (calling themselves CY-lty Kiss) and I think it was total coincidence, which was hilarious.
And I think it all came together in the end when people vote for a song for them to cover, and Pops Heart de Odorun Da Mon was on the board (as it was for the first performances of the other groups) and it was chosen. It’s not a CYaRon song, but it might as well be hahah. It was bizarre to see them singing and dancing something so upbeat in those Guilty Kiss outfits, but they sounded great! They gave it their all and had such a good time with it. Aina was center, which was a good choice. It made me want to hear a Mari solo version.
Before I went to this live viewing, I always though Riko was kinda the odd one out in Guilty Kiss. But when I saw Rikako come out as center for the overall event and rock it, I don’t feel that way anymore. She was great! The last time I “saw” her was at 3rd Live, and she seemed kinda nervous or kinda off maybe? But this time she was happy, and confident, and amazing! She did so good!!!
They were also talking about 4th Live (..the one I didn’t get to go to....) and apparently they did Omoi yu Hitotsu ni Nare with Riko for the first time.... which was like.... aw.....
But yeah um, poor Guilty Kiss. Since their first performance was cancelled they had a 0 on the scoreboard for the longest time. But even now that they have some points, they didn’t do that well. The other units are killing them! Not entirely their fault though. The Fukuoka audience got questions wrong. It was so painful too! In the live viewing, the question was who had a deck brush in the Kimi no Kokoro wa Kagataiteru Kai video and Aikyan knew the answer. She was like “Ohhh I have a feeling it was Zuramaruuuuu” but she couldn’t choose it because the audience choose You. They were wrong. It was Hanamaruuuu.
I really enjoyed Guilty Kiss a LOT. They sounded AMAZING live. And since they’re the underdog team, I really want to root for them.... but I want to root for everyone..... aaaahhhhh.... I can’t choose who to cheer for in the competition......

So yesterday I went to the  Unit Battle National Tour Aqours Club Activity Love and Fan Meeting 2018, CYaRon in Matsuyama evening performance live viewing.
I have less to say about this one than the AZALEA one because I wasn’t really there this time (just saw the theater viewing), and it was basically the same thing as AZALEA just with CYaRon. (So you might want to read that one first.)
Since AZALEA came out in the outfits featured on the poster, I had been expecting/hoping to see CYaRon dressed as pirates. But I was also like... how they gonna dance with those hats on? And then they came out in their DAY! DAY! DAY! outfits and I was like.... aw darn haha. But understandable.
During the question and answer section they got a question about which of them spends the most time in the bath, and then An-chan and  Shuka went ON AND ON about this one time they were in the bath for like over an hour, then got back to their hotel room and kept talking for hours, and An-chan turned out the light but Shuka kept trying to talk to her. And Ai-ai was at the other end of the table like... uhh...
During the quiz one of the questions was what color Rikako’s feathers were during the Guilty Kiss performance for the 2nd Live. Use of smartphones to look up answers was banned for this game, however, it just so happened someone in the audience had a bromide of her in this outfit. And that was OK ahaha. “KISEKI DA YO!” (The answer was “red.”)
For the third game they had to say cute Halloween things while doing certain personas. Ai-ai got a robot and she really struggled but I thought she did great in the end. Shuka got “a shy/blushing girlfriend” and she did not want to do it at ALLLL as soon as it was over her face was like UUGHH hahaha. An-chan got “a hot guy” and the (male) crowd was like WOOOOOOOOOOOO and she was like “why are you cheering?!?!”
I was surprised at how during the performance, the audience song choice options were the same as AZALEA:  Todokanai Hoshi da to Shitemo, Pops heart de Odorunn da mon!, or Sora mo Kokoro mo Hareru kara. I wanted to hear the CYaRon version of  Todokanai Hoshi da to Shitemo, but apparently they already sang that for the afternoon performance. So the Matsuyama audience voted for  Pops heart de Odorun da mon! But that was pretty fun too.
The audience did a CYaRon call instead of “encore” like we did for AZALEA. But CYaRon doesn’t split into three syllables as nicely. In Japanese it’s “en-co-ru”, and we were chanting “a-ze-lea” for AZALEA. CYaRon is pronounced like “sha-ron” and turned out like “sha-ro-nnnn.” After a bit of practice it worked though! (Guilty Kiss has like five syllables in Japanese so I’m wondering how that will go haha.)
So this was the last performance of this tour for a while, and the main scoreboard was left like this:
Guilty Kiss: 0 (no performances yet since Sapporo was cancelled) AZALEA: 550 (after 3 performances in Nagoya) CYaRon: 350 (after 2 performances in Matsuyama)
This is the scoreboard for the quiz the audience participates in. The other games impact the play order or something for the ultimate Tokyo showdown next year. I am not sure haha. Although AZALEA is ahead, they have had the most performances, so of course they are. Things are bound to even up down the road (I’m sure they will find some way to give Guilty Kiss a chance to make things up).
