Okay so like I’m not sure if anyone else has ever listened the librivox version 2 (the dramatic reading) version of the marvelous land of oz (second book in the oz series) but like it’s one where each character as a different voice and stuff, right, and omg for the scarecrow he sounds like a posh gay English / French man (it’s hard to tell which one the accent sound more like) and it just cracks me up because he keeps talking about his friend the tin man and how he will protect him and stuff and his voice is just making everything he say so much more gay! Like they said he was a queer king and I’m like damn right he is! This is probably a very niche post but if you have listened to it, or are inspired to now, or honestly if you just are a wizard of oz nerd, feel free to reach out or comment or something because man I have so many thoughts!!

kind of a mini au, here’s my take on summer as an adult + if she was part of the muppets proper

after attending art school, she graduated with the belief that true art is incomprehensible. she’s constantly experimenting with— let’s say unconventional mediums (think season 1!gonzo) for her art. she tends to be very pretentious when it comes to her own art and how people “don’t get it”, although thankfully that attitude doesn’t extend to her friends’ art— if anything, she appreciates the muppets when they’re at their most absurd/incomprehensible. kermit sometimes commissions her to do the paint work for the sets, since she’s genuinely a talented artist when she’s not experimenting

also she’s dating bobbi baba (the scrapped character from muppet babies who was supposed to have her role as the newbie). turns out that they have a lot in common

A shadow steps forward, a hand finds his shoulder. A face emerge, inches from his own.

Sirius. There he is, wearing the very clothes in which he died, and his eyes— his eyes. They gaze into Remus’ with all their sadness of a lifetime. Remus could only squeeze his eyes shut against it.

Then, the hands are cradling his cheeks, and there’s a breath fluttering against his lips.

“Remus,” came the whisper, “darling— you’ve got to let me go.”

I do love that Molly promised Nogvurot he'd return one day--and not just as the Duke again, but as himself. Thinking about King visiting that town one day, and receiving a big royal welcome. Being so beloved, feeling regal--just like he did in his dreams. Molly always meant to come back and visit someday, but he never got the chance to (would he have like to?...did he mean to return one day, with the Mighty Nein?)

But even if he never got the chance to go back, maybe one day King will wander by, and be treated like an old friend. And it'll feel like he's back in that nice dream again--
